Ferrin turned towards the bed, his paws crossed in front of him. "I-I'm sorry..."He whispered and shifted the two around to get them a little more comfortable in their bindings. "I thought...we had more time." The Fennec added and brushed back Shalashka's hair, "I'll see what i can do." He pecked the male's cheek before dashing from the room, long tail waving behind him.

Shalashka sighed and pulled at the chains, the heavy clinking sounding in the silent room. "Tygon, I'm sorry i got you caught up in this." He said and lowered his ears. The coyote rolled to lay on his back and looked over at the tiger.

Tygon shook his head. "No. I chose to accompany you." he gave Shal a half smile to comfort the young canine. Outside, the pair hear a crowd's cheers began to form, they rounded their ears towards the window. Soon they crowd settle down and Leszander's voice boomed over the courtyard.

"Ladies and gentlefurs, I come to you with unfortunate news. The event that has shook our kingdom: The loss of our king, my brother and his wife. I have recently been told that Shalashka has also perished in the event. But That leaves us with a problem; a throne with no heir. Fear no, for I, the first born of King Leszard will take up the throne and rule as this country should be ruled!" He called out. The cheers grew again and the coyote turned to re-enter the castle. After long minutes of cheering, it eventually calmed down and became quiet.

It was hours before Tenke and Tygon heard the door creek open, the torches out side letting in an orange glow. Leszander smiled as he stepped into the room and came to the foot of the bed. Kaleido followed him through, smirking at the young canine as their eyes met. "Good evening, pup" The canine sat down on the bed, grabbing the canine's ankles, he jerked him down and lay his head on his lap. "Well, Kale, I things are working out, despite your screw up." He spoke back towards the bull shark behind him. Looking down at the pup, his smile grew wider as he saw the confusion on Shal's face as he combed through the prince's hair.

"W-What do you mean?" He said and struggled against his uncle's touch. DId you...No...Why?" he asked as the pieces started coming together in his head. He thought back to the night on the ship. He tried desperately to see Kaleido there, but as hard as he tried, he couldn't see the shark.

The older coyote growled out and grinned. "I Had Kaleido and his men attack the ship." He said bluntly. "With my good brother as king and you to take his place, i had no other choice but to take your lives if i were to take the throne for myself." He chuckled darkly over the prince. Gripping his dark headfur, Leszander tugged Shalashka's head back to expose him and make him feel more vulnerable.

He yelped out and struggled more, trying to tilt his head back to look up at his uncle once more. "B-But mother and father said you...you never had interest in being king? Why did you have to kill them?" he cried, tears welling up in his lavender eyes.

Leszander laughed deeply at Shalashk'as comment. "Oh dear boy, do you really believe that lie?" The laughing continued to ring in Shal's ears "The truth is much darker I'm afraid: the only reason that my younger brother took the throne before I was because my father feared how i would rule. He feared that i would turn his shining kingdom into a worthless wasteland. " The older canine chuckled deeply and sneered at the prince. "He wasn't wrong, It took a long time, but finally I'm able to get my hands around this worthless kingdom..." He grinned and wrapped his long fingers around Shalashka's neck, making the prince gasp and start to struggle. It only took a few seconds before Leszander let his nephew go, tossing him roughly onto the bed. "Oh, and i have just one more visitor for you." He said and snapped his fingers.

Two guards came through the door, holding a bound Ferrin. They set the fennec down on the foot of the bed, allowing him to look up at Shal. "I-I'm sorry Master, Shal." He whispered and whined.

"This little pet thought he could seduce me. The cur was after these." He said and spun a ring of keys above the fennec's head. "No doubt in order to help you. Better luck next time." He shook his head and turned to leave the room, followed by his guards and Kaleido.

All three sat in silence for a good, long while before the coyote spoke up. "Ferrin, you didn't have to risk yourself to save us." Shal whined, hears flattening against his head as Ferrin looked away slightly, a blush coming to his cheeks.

"I had to do something. Already he's destroying the town, and disrupting the order of things in the village." He spoke quickly and quietly, a hint of a whine lingered in his throat. "You're the only one who can stop him." Shal nodded softly "But there's nothing I can do locked up here like this..." The coyote tugged as his chains. The other two fell asleep after a good while, leaving Shal alone with his thoughts. " He sighed and looked out the window, watching as the moon began to peek over the mountains. Shalashka curled up, a strong whimpering growing in his throat. As the stars began to fade as the sun teased the land with orange light. Shall looked down at the wood door began creaking, a small fox kit's silhouette stood in the doorway. The cub dashed over to Shal, holding out his paw to show the canine a heavy key. "Is.."Is that fore these?" Shal asked, lifting his arms. When the silver fox nodded and began to prod at the prince's shackles nervously. Eventually Shal heard a click and the shackles fell from his wrists He couldn't help as a chuckle sounded out in the room as the cub went around the bed and unlocked the other's bindings.

Tygon grinned and stood up, hi long tufted tail flailed around. "'Bout time, Let's go get that fucking, cur." he said and punched his paw, heading straight to the door.

"Tygon, Wait a second." Shal barked quickly. "We can't just through the castle. We have to plan, get out of the here to and figure something out." He turned to the window "I mean look, the place is just crawling with knights...and they'll only listen to my uncle. We'll try to get out of the castle and into the village, then figure something out." He said softly?" He said and walked to book case and pulled a ragged old looking book. He chuckled as clacking could be heard behind the stone. "Can never mess with a classic." He said as the wall slid open, revealing a deep tunnel. "Come on, this will take us to a secret entrance near the village. " He said and lead the others down the tunnel.

They walked for what felt like hours until finally the small group reached a dead end. The coyote shifted around, pressing his paws against the stone. The walls ground and opened again, revealing the morning lit hillside and the village below. "We'll go hide out in the village I'm sure someone will help us." Shalashka said and lead them down the grassy hill. walking quickly towards the torch lit streets. Halfway to the town, Shal heard the clunk of heavy armor quickly followed by the blowing of a horn. Shouts sounded from the top of the hill, a mass of shoulders were charging towards them.

Leszander stood at the front, now clad in light plated armor, holding a broad claymore in a single paw. Shal and the others turned to run to the village, but found that the escape had been blocked by soldiers flooding out from the town. They turned back around to face the older canine. "I figured you'd eventually get out. Go ahead, say thanks." He said and lifted the silver fox kit, his hands were bound tightly in rope. His fur darkened with blood, obviously from a beating from the 'king'.

"Y-You monster!" Shal cried, turning his head as Leszander threw the young pup carelessly onto the grass. Shal ran over to the kit, Tygon followed close behind, and picked him up carefully, feeling him breath in shuddering breaths. "Let them Go. I don't care, take me and do whatever you want, just let them--" he cried before his sentence was cut short.

The wall of soldiers closest to the village was knocked down, a roar of furs from the village rung out over the hills. "Kill them!" Leszander howled out and lifted his blade. The knights shot forward, clashing with the villagers. Leszander stood above his nephew, Kaleido running up beside him from the back of the knights. " The ringing of steel started to fill the hillside. Tygon jumped in front of Shalashka, batting away both the shark's and the canine's blades, occasionally feeling the bite of the blade on his arms, blood quickly started to darken his fur. The tiger growled and threw a heavy punch, catching Leszander squarely on the jaw. Kale swung his sword again and caught the tiger's bicep with a good slash. Tygon swung back around and smashed his elbow into the side of the shark's head.

Kale growled and stumbled back, holding his now bleeding temple. He looked around at the older coyote then down at the prince. "Fuck this, I'm not going to die for this." He growled and dropped the cutlass and darted towards the village.

Leszander roared at Kaleido's back "Damn coward!" He gripped his claymore in both his paws now. "I'll just have to finish this now." The elder coyote growled and swung the heavy blade upwards, making Tygon jump back to avoid it. He relentlessly attacked, swinging wild and sloppy strikes. Tygon managed to get a few attacks in, causing the canine to stumble and eventually prop himself on his sword. He stared knives into the feline as he panted. "So...You think you can always protect him? HUH!?!" Leszander barked and wipped the blood from his muzzle before staggering to stand again. The coyote leaped, pulling the sword back as he aimed not at Tygon, but his nephew. He thrust out and blood spattered the grass.

Shal opened his eyes to see the tip of Leszander's sword pointing inches from his nose. He looked up and saw Tygon standing over him, Leszander's claymore peirced through his stomach. "T-Tygon." He stuttered. Wanting to touch the feline in some way, but drew his hands back each time. "N-No You--" The coyote's voice cracked as he watched Tygon's blood drip down to the tip of the sword.

Leszander grinned and gripped the hilt tightly, pushing the sword a few inches deeper before yanking it roughly out. Tygon roared in pain and fell to his knees, holding his gut as blood all but poured into his paws. "Heh, Enjoying that Kitten?" Leszander teased and lifted the blade over his head. "Now it's time to say goodbye." He growled and swung it back down.

There was a louder ring of steel and as Shalashka opened his eyes, he saw Ferrin stumbling in front of Leszander. He held Kaleido's cutlass in his paws, having swung in into the side of the coyote's sword. The Fennec fox stumbled and looked at Shal, glimmers of apology in his eyes. Leszander growled deeply and lifted his knee quickly and drove it into the fox's belly.

Ferrin doubled over in pain, coughing as he knelt at the coyotes feet as he tried to regain his breath. Lifting the claymore once more, the coyote growled out loudly and brought it down once more, again blood splattered the ground. This time, it was the coyote who staggered and fell back, shaking violently. He dropped the sword and gave a gurgled growl as the cutlass that Ferrin had dropped stuck from his stomach, angled up into his rib cage. Soon the canine lay still on the ground. "You-You won't ever hurt him again." Tygon growled and fell onto the ground in front of Shalashka, a sigh sounding from his throat as he blacked out.

"Tygon!" Shal cried out and held his paws over the wound on the feline's back, tears rolled down his cheek. "Gods no. Y-You can't." He said. Ferrin lowered his ears and crawled over to the prince, wrapping his arms around the smaller canine. The fighting slowly faded as what knights were loyal to Leszander fled into the woods and village, being chased by what little amount of villagers that remained. And very soon nurses and women came flooding onto the field, tending to the wounded and dead.

Sitting in the empty throne room, Shalashka looked down at his foot paws, the silence was heavy to the coyote. He'd been at the infirmary most of the night, watching the doctors and nurses trying to keep the tiger from the verge of death. Only when Ferrin pulled the prince out of the room did he actually leave. Ever since, Shal had been sitting alone in the throne, waiting on any news on Tygon's recovery.

The large chamber door creaked opened to reveal the fennec fox, a light smile on his muzzle. The silver fox followed him, arm held up in a sling and bandages wrapped around his head. "H-Hey. How are you doing?" He asked as he came to the coyote and knelt in front of him "Don't worry, hun, Tygon's doing alright." He paused and held Shalashka's paws. "He woke up and seems to be doing alright. They're amazed how quickly he's healing. And he's even made friends with one of the nurses." He chuckled and stood up, pulling the prince to his feet as well. "Now come on, lets go get you ready for your ceremony." he said and pulled the coyote in for a deep kiss

The grand hall was filled with furs of every species. Both of nobility and those who were not. Shalashka was sitting on the throne, sitting more proudly as he looked over the large mass. He now wore a red and black kimono with a matching velvet cape. Sitting on his head was a circlet of gold, an amethyst jewel set into the center of it. He turned his head to look up at Ferrin standing over his shoulder. He opened his muzzle to speak when he heard another clearing their throat. Turning his head back, he saw Tygon standing there. Dressed in a set of dress robes, bandages visible over the hems of the clothing. Holding onto his arm was a female tiger, one of the nurses from the castle. She had a lighter fur patter, the stripes were a little more like waves. She had dark brown brown hair that covered part of her face, bright green eyes shining brightly in the light throne room. They both bowed lightly and smiled. "I'm glad that you're doing well, King Shal." The tiger said and stood up fully once more.

"As I am for you Tygon." He said in return and swinging his feet a bit before standing up, standing at just about the tiger's height from the higher platform. "I was...Meaning to ask you. But I'm not sure if you'll still want to..." He said and looked back at Ferrin. "But I've decided, if it suits you, I'd like you to be the head of my knights." Shalashka grinned.

Tygon smiled and lowered his ears, looking over at Tygriss for a moment before looking up at Shal. "As much as I'd love to, I'd like to settle down. After this last bout with--" He was cut short as Shalashka raised a paw.

"I understand. But regardless I'd like to reward you for your deeds." He said and waved lightly at the fennec. "Tygon, for you valiant acts, I hereby dub you, by the name of the king, Knight of the realm. Congratulations, Sir Tygon." Shalashka smiled brightly, applause sounding around in the hall, Ferrin and Shal giving the loudest claps they could. ~~
