To Love A Legendary Pokemon 2
By Bluevirage
V enus had been camping on her own since she was ten, the very year she had started her pokémon journey. She had quit battling after her fifth gym battle ended in yet another victory; a rather bloody one, where every last member of her team of six had been beaten unconscious and brutally injured in the process save for one.
Reveling in her victory she felt her heart break as her charmander weakly tried to give her a nuzzle against her leg after getting his ass handed to him and narrowly securing her victory over the gym leader.
She felt bad for all her partners, her pokémon; fighting, a few even tragically dying during her trip, and released them after giving them all heartfelt hugs and promises of never enslaving another of their kind again.
For a while she had joined a few criminal gangs, anti-slavery/trainer groups, dedicated to ceasing the combat usage and ownership of pokémon. For a while she and her friends had done some good if committed numerous criminal acts. But that all ended when she got shot by a gang of pokémon thieves.
Reality set in, she could die, and she left the last group she had joined after recovering in a free hospital for people; free public health care for people was one of the causes her last group had gotten pushed to the fore of debate during their protests and she benefited from it then and now.
She had no plans and decided to just camp around, finding places to set up a tent and make a fire; used techniques she had learned from a Pokémon Ranger to chase away pokémon without using a pokémon.
She was mostly vegetarian, forgoing meat and enjoying simpler things in life among nature. But Venus never really learned how to fight off people hand-to-hand. And the girl that had emerged from the underbrush, dirty, reeking of blood, chewing on an animal limb; got the jump on her as soon as she spoke to her a simple greeting.
"Hello?"
It was a short fight, and Venus was left gasping for air as the girl spoke about not even having to use her real power. Things faded and the last thing she saw as her life fled her body was a brown haired girl grinning crazily at her and saying how she had to prepare for her date.
~~~***~~~
A brown haired girl idly looked at her reflection in a hand-held mirror she had found in a pack left in a tent that was now hers. Streaks of red covered her face and she smiled at herself in the mirror as she dabbed at a bit of it on her upper lip with the tip of her tongue.
Having murdered the previous owner of the clothing she now wore she had boys on her mind; a particular boy in fact. She felt herself grow warm as she thought about all the things they could share and talk about surrounded by the corpses of their enemies. Just like in the old days!
It was a meeting she had been looking forward to for years.
"Leonarte," she said aloud to herself. "I wonder how you are doing?" she then gazed at the corpse on the ground in front of her and frowned.
"What a waste of meat," she said once more to no one but herself. But as she looked at it, another hunger, curiosity, sought to be sated. "I have been wanting to try something for a while and I think you would be perfect for it whoever you were."
The girl knelt and placed her hand on the back of the deceased human girl. A white glow flickered within her murderous eyes as she focused and intensified the power that illuminated her eyes. Drawing deeply upon the well of power, she combined this white light with a rich blue energy that coursed from elsewhere within her body.
Using it as a scalpel she peeled away unneeded flesh, shaping, molding, breathing continued life into cells as they slowly started to die due to lack of oxygen. When she was done a larger than normal sized canine-like beast lay before her slumbering peacefully.
Pausing she smiled as a name came to her in a moment of inspiration. "Ice Hound of the Eastern Blizzard, awaken!" she said firmly.
The dog opened its eyes and blinked a few times. Its dark blue fur was already forming tiny icicles upon it as it lifted its head shakily. Memories caused it to slowly look at the girl in fear. It was startled as the girl threw her arms around its neck and hugged it.
"You're alive! Good, good, now I have a promise to make, and a way to show I can keep it." the girl said before releasing the beast. "As my first pokémon, that was not food mind you, I want you to know that I will love and care for you and feed you of course. But, you need to learn a few things,"
I am strong now, the beast thought. I can end her and keep others from falling prey to her. The beast knew power, its power, and was ready to lunge and tear the girl's head from her neck. There was no going back, she was not human, she felt it, felt inhuman power and knew that she could end the girl even if it cost her her life.
The girl stopped talking and glared at the beast and patted it on the nose causing it to sneeze. I am the only one who gets an inner-monologue, now silence your thoughts of rebellion and obey! She mentally commanded.
The beast shivered and bowed its head in submission; it was hopeless, better obey and live as a monster than die a painful death. The girl smirked as she saw these thoughts and feelings pass through her creation.
"So, as I was saying before you rudely interrupted my monologue with thoughts of betrayal. Every night, or when I feel like it during the day, you can turn back into your old human form.
"While I was making you I took the cast off flesh of your old body and shaped it into this." the girl held out a sparkling stone. Seeing that the beast recognized it as a Mega Stone, she smiled at her first servant.
"That is right, you know how these work right? Well, I manipulated reality on a localized level to make you into what you are; and in the process I changed a few rules about a few things.
"If you want to look human, yes look human, I have this as an option; a transformation trinket as it were. But it will only work when I want it to work, just like normal Mega Stones, we must be in sync.
"But you are far more than human now. Serve me, and know a power greater than you have ever known. Don't and I won't kill you again. No need, your a pokémon now, no one is going to take you any more seriously than some jerk that wants to experiment on you. And I know how that feels." the girl said dryly as she finished speaking.
The beast tried to form words but only found itself coughing, vocal cords changed into something far different. Practice would be needed, and hopefully she could muster more than just variations of a single word. The girl gently stroked its strong jawline and snuggled into its cold fur. The beast flinched but relaxed, the worst was over, obedience was now needed to survive.
"You are a new breed after all, a prime prize for any researcher that wants to capture something new and unique. Here, have a look. I shall call you an Articanine." the girl held up the mirror that had previously belonged to Articanine and smiled as the Ice Hound looked into it with sorrow in the form of tears beading at the corners of her eyes that turned into ice crystals that fell and shattered upon reaching the earth.
The girl held the crying beast until it calmed. She then stood up slowly, patting the beast's head. She had plans, a minion, and focus.
"One down, five to go." the girl smiled as she looked towards the rising moon. "Tonight will be a lovely night to hunt and seal the deal on our new relationship; I have to see you in action, see what power you have!"
Articanine stood tall, easily taller than the girl at its full height, and looked at her firmly with its cold blue eyes. If this was its lot, it would serve her, but, there was always hope.
"Yes, hope. It is all I had for so very long." the girl said suddenly sadly. "Do not let it drive you crazy like it did me."
Articanine nodded in understanding as its ears twitched.
"NOW!" she shouted suddenly, causing her pet to jump. "Onward to glory! Or killing pokémon for execution points or something!"
Articanine looked into the woods, her eyes easily seeing clearly in the darkness everything before her, and exhaled a chilly breath. Life under her new master would be interesting at least.
The girl with brown hair standing over Leonarte stared into his quivering form. She looked beyond the surface of his flesh, his shell, his covering, at his very soul.
Leonarte shivered in her presence, he had wet himself, likely when she had appeared suddenly and punched him in the gut. It had winded him and done so much more as all his energy drained out of his muscles.
The paralyzing punch had done a number on his bladder control and there he was on the ground at her mercy. Her telekinetic tendrils had already wrapped around his heart as well, he felt her invisible grasp, holding, cradling, and terrifying him as she held his vital organ within her power.
The brown haired girl clenched and released her fists tightly as she studied Leonarte. Her squeezing followed a rhythm that emulated the pulsing of the human heart she firmly held within her telekinetic grasp.
"I feel your heart and its each and every beat." the girl stopped moving her hands as she squeezed her fists shut. Her eyes gained a gleam of joy and Leonarte's eyes widened in even more paralyzing pain as he felt his heart stop. "It, is under my control." the girl continued her squeezing and Leonarte's pained look lessened.
"You obey me and you get Xerneas back. You disobey me and it dies." the girl looked thoughtful and shook her head as if clearing out cobwebs within her skull. "No, wait, your Xerneas is likely female to you and not a mixture of genders; of course whatever the case may be, you will obey.
"Killing you will not be enough, I will kill the love of your life." the girl glanced over her shoulder and looked right at another person who was not quite there. "Dream Walker, mind your business, otherwise, I will let your version of me know where you are."
Leonarte's startled awakening caused his pokémon that were on watch to jump at his cry of fright as he woke up. Xerneas's eyes fixed on Leonarte's own and it began to speak to him inside his mind.
We worry about your Dream Walking. Xerneas's concern was evident on its face as it stood rising to its awe inspiring height. It moved the few feet that separated it from the human youth in an instant. Its steps caused flowers to sprout as it walked. Its strides evidence that this was the life giver Leonarte had come to love as much as the rest of his pokémon.
Leonarte noticed Delphox's naked jealousy as he wrapped his arms around Xerneas's neck as it leaned down and nuzzled his cheek after settling in next to him. "Easy, Foxy," the teen said using his pet name for the psychic fire wielder. "nothing is going on other than a hug."
Delphox rolled her eyes and snapped her fingers to cause the fire in the fire pit they had dug to flare. It was obvious she was upset over the attention Xerneas was receiving over the rest of them. He did not ignore her attitude, he just filed it away for something to talk about with her when they were alone.
The trainer's eyes drifted over the rest of the group to see if their were similar feelings about his relationship with Xerneas. There was Sylvie and her daughter, an Espeon he named Espie, a name given much to Sylvie's displeasure. She had actually growled in a mean way at her trainer and nipped his arm hard enough to make him consider another name. But the baby Eevee, at the time, only snuggled into his hands a bit more at the words and the feelings behind them.
Sylvie relented since her child was apparently happy with the name. Soon Espie was on her way to becoming an Espeon. Her evolution was no surprise considering her name and the fact that Delphox and her mother gave the youngest member of the team lessons in psychic abilities constantly under Leonarte's encouragement.
There was his drowsy Talonflame perched on the ground next to Lucario who was seated with his legs folded underneath him having been previously meditating instead of sleeping. Delphox was next to Lucario mirroring his stance and bent over to whisper in poké speak something obviously flirtatious. Lucario was trying not to lose his stony gaze that had fallen on Leonarte and the two shared a brief mental image of Delphox performing an act upon the fighter that made Leonarte blush in his stead.
Patting Xerneas's neck before stroking it gently to the rhythmic powerful pulsing of blood he felt beneath the fur. The teen found himself growing sleepy again and found Espie and Sylvie staring at him with faintly glowing eyes.
"No...need to," Leonarte yawned. "put me under a spell."
Sleep Leonarte, it is for the best, it is only two hours till dawn. And we have much to accomplish tomorrow. Xerneas said sagely. The night was long, but still, I will watch over everyone the remaining hours till dawn. Sleep well all.
Leonarte fell back into his sleeping roll and closed his eyes as he heard and felt the rest of the group settle down again. For a moment he thought of the girl he loved more than anything back when he was a child. The terrifying child that made him forget who he was and changed his entire life.
Having completed their successful theft of the campsite, two thieves took their loot with them to a local fast food restaurant to enjoy a cheap meal and play around with their stolen tech.
"This Pokémon scanner thing is awesome!" a young man with a deep tan and bright brown eyes said to an identical man next to him. They both wore shorts, boots, and buttoned up shirts that had their collars popped.
"I think its called an Ultimate Pokédex. It includes all the things a person may have to carry in one device supposedly. Read about it in a magazine, its prototype stuff." the man held up the slender semi-transparent device and grinned. "This is an expensive piece of gear! We can get mad paid for this! Robbing a trainer was a great idea bro!"
"Told you it would be easy! All we had to do was shoot the bitch from behind like I told you before she could call out her monsters. But she didn't have any so whatever, we still got paid!"
"For real man! Our people back home thought we could not make it on a big island like this. But we showed them right? Let's shoot a video! Upload it to Personabook!"
"Okay, okay, let's get the cash out and show off the pokéballs as well. Make them think we are into some amateur pokémon stuff." the first twin grinned.
The social program was set, an account logged into, and the duo began to talk s they recorded a video message. They were unaware of a brown haired girl's sudden appearance in the restaurant as they spoke. She watched them with her previously pilfered things and waited as a small black hole in the back of her skull faded away, hidden by her hair. She waited for her chance to catch them outside away from witnesses.
But a new thought occurred, instead of waiting, she should introduce herself when they were done. So she went to the counter, ordered a milkshake and sipped through a straw as she watched them.
Given that she was still recruiting for her own special pokémon team, she felt the pair would make very lovely samples; a little work, and they would be her loyal pets. As she sat at a table she thought how she had given her pet time off for a few hours.
Giving the help a few hours off to explore and learn about their new body and abilities alone might have been a mistake.
Still, having a mortal wound me in such a way, fate you just really want me to fuck someone up today eh? The brown haired girl thought as she settled in and waited for her chance.
"Hello, Island Nation! This is Dorian from the Money Team. This is my brother Dillan," Dorian said while holding up some empty pokéballs and flashing a grin.
"Money Team!" Dillan said with a grin as well as he cut in on his twin's speech.
"Money team!" Dorian smirked as he flashed some cash.
"This, my good people, is what we get from a good day's work. We doing it big face," Dorian flipped around the money and pointed to the image of Arceus printed on the back of the paper money. The largest common denomination of currency on the planet featured the pokégod's image. "over here. New, old," he flashed older bills along with some newly anti-counterfeiting designed bills. "we just working." thinking that his family that followed his online social networking would assume he stole the money he quickly added. "Don't, don't worry about how," Dorian said with his winning smile mirrored by his twin brother Dillan as he cut in.
"No twenties," he said pointing at the bills in nothing but 100 denominations. "no twenties, no fives, no tens." Dillan remarked, as he showed off the cash that Venus had previously had on hand when she was human before the brown haired girl got to her, like she would shortly get to the twins.
"Read it," Dorian said as he pointed at the large 100 printed in dark red ink on the bill underneath the image of the Pokémon god.
"Big Face" Dillan and Dorian repeated together.
"BIG. If You work, if you put your inner doubt aside, that voice on the inside that tells you you can't do something. When you worry about you and yours you get this," Dorian smiled as he pointed at the money again and flourished it for the camera.
"Yes'm," Dillan said in his nonchalant agreeable way as he cut in again.
"That's all you gotta do." Dorian added.
"Yes'm." Dillan repeated.
"You hung with me, you a friend, we got you if you come our way. Be wiring some money home soon, peace and love Island Nation." Dorian said before shutting off the camera app of the pokédex device.
Two slender arms were thrown around the two boys shoulders from behind as soon as they finished recording. "A nice last message home, boys." Firm hands gripped them and squished them tightly together shoulder to shoulder. A pale blood encrusted face slid in between their heads and let out a soft laugh.
"Ma'am, do you need a cloth for that berry juice? I noticed it before and did not want to be rude, but its awfully noticeable." a store employee asked as she spied the three teenagers clowning around. "Boys can be so rough!" she said with a genuine smile not realizing she was looking at dried blood from when the girl's face had been partly destroyed by a bullet.
The girl was not caught off guard by the still alien to her element of concern for another. In fact the words, the emotion expressed, made her a little moist as she looked at the woman and smiled. "Yea my friends caught me off guard and hit me with a couple of berries before running off to eat without me! But I forgive them," the girl gripped the twins shoulders tighter as she spoke. "we are just little fish caught up in the big wide world of pokémon training."
Dorian and Dillan had the same sequence of thoughts as the girl sat across from them and wiped her face clean of the dried blood with an offered cloth that she then handed back to the waitress that mistook the tiny bits of bone covering it as strange seeds.
Who the fuck is this bitch?
What the fuck is this bitch?
Is this bitch going to kill us?
This bitch, is going to make you her newest pokémon. Amelia Anarchy Annex purred inside their weak minds as both brothers tried, and failed, to not piss themselves as she dug into their brains with her mental abilities.
Leonarte's mother looked at the three agents from some organization she had never heard of as outwardly calm as she could. She stood in front of her house, having shut the front door to lean against it as she talked with the men.
"Leonarte left home to begin a pokémon journey; became the regional champion, which you are aware of if this dossier you prepared on my child is any indication." the very possessive use of the words my child left an impression of deep loyalty on the agents between the mother and her adopted son. She handed the dossier back to the closest agent and glared at them all equally.
"Be that as it may," a man wearing casual business attire that was gray spoke. "your son fought a terrorist organization on his way to the regional Pokémon League Championship. Fought their leader, then absconded with a god before beating the league's champion with said god in tow!
"We need to find him because we know what he really is. You are his mother, we came to you knowing he must have contacted you. Christ lady, this place is a shrine to him! He must be important to you, considering that when your door was open I saw a rather large portrait of him hanging on the wall."
It was plain to see to any guest entering. There was a painting Leonarte had painted as a boy based on a photograph of him being held as a nine-year-old by his mother above a fireplace. She had submitted photos of the painting to many experts in an attempt to gauge her son's artistic abilities. The skill on display was rated by the best artistic experts on the planet as being on par with the masters of old themselves.
Even now she knew that her amazing son was likely off someplace just being himself. Hopefully the girl he spoke of, the one that helped him escape captivity, was no longer around. The thought disturbed her more than the three human's in front of her.
"Your exaggeration is unwarranted." Leonarte's mother smiled. "Now leave."
The three agents felt the compelling voice of the woman and shivered involuntarily. Something inside them told them she was not to be ignored. They hastily apologized for any rudeness and left. Entering her home and shutting the door, the woman's appearance flickered for a moment showing black and red fur for a split second as she wondered how long she could keep up her act.
It so strained her to talk like a human, still, appearances must be maintained. Looking to the skies and clasping her hands together. Leonarte's mother uttered a silent prayer.
Arceus, give me strength.
~~~***~~~
The morning found Leonarte in better spirits. He had awakened to witness Xerneas tending the fire that had warmed the group with its radiant heat with a long stick wielded by its muzzle. Delphox had been on the last watch of the night, having convinced Xerneas to not be all godly for once and actually try and sleep like a normal living thing and let her take care of things.
Her eyes flickered with various feelings as she walked over and kicked Leonarte's side to awaken him fully when she noticed him waking up.
"You are mad at me about what?" Leonarte asked as he rose and poked the fox with his finger.
Delphox made a disgusted sound and folded her arms over her chest. She nodded at Leonarte's supplies in a large camping bag. The teen slid out of his sleeping bag and stretched. As he did so he noticed the girls of his team admiring his body as everyone got ready to take on the day.
"No. Not happening, just drop thoughts of that stuff out of your cute furry little heads right now." Leonarte said without looking at any particular offender. Though he himself was not offended in the least. They were close but he hoped not that close that one of them would make a move. Something he did not want to even think about.
Still with Delphox flirting with everyone and anyone people were going to assume things, things that made him blush if he thought too hard about them.
Shared glances while Leonarte was busy getting food ready for them all between the ladies in the party ended with them giggling in their own ways. Plopping down on a mat, Leonarte opened up a can of food and began to eat right from it using a spoon. He had already opened and set aside food for his party.
Xerneas never ate with them, instead it simply watched them eat and conversed with them all. Its depth of knowledge about the world was startling. It said that it dreamed of things and usually those things were real in some form or fashion.
Delphox sauntered over and took an opened can as did everyone one else that could. Those without paws with usable digits ate from dishes that Leonarte prepared for them. The only other fire type on the team, Talonflame, was pecking at its food, taking small bites and swallowing them down with soft coos of enjoyment.
Mother and daughter, Sylvie and Espie, the eveelutions, finished eating first. As soon as they were done they walked over, dishes in mouth, and sat them in front of Leonarte. They waited patiently for him to pet them. Leonarte stopped eating to use both his hands at the same time, relishing the soft fur of both as he smiled at them fondly.
Soon enough eating was over with for the moment and Leonarte inspected his adventure gear. He was wearing a dark blue coat, blue jeans, black boots and a headband. His glasses were top half frames that held clear lenses.
We noticed that you have been avoiding much in the way of small talk. Why? Xerneas looked at Leonarte with its gaze never wavering from its trainer's own.
"Just sorting through those dreams. And still hiding a few things from you all." Leonarte admitted. "I think, the nightmares are...visions of other worlds, possibilities...but, still...it's horrible what I see. What I feel that is coming."
Lucario simply nodded in an understanding way and pointed with his fist to the North.
"You sense her too?"
Lucario nodded and simply grinned, showing his fangs. He was ready for a fight, he had always been ready. To prepare for what was to come he was fairly certain his team would need to be fully prepared to get their asses handed to them; so he had personally assisted Leonarte in training his body as well as the group for combat against a god by using Xerneas as their sparring partner at full-power.
Leonarte shook his head to clear it as he straightened his cap. "Fear of defeat will only weaken us. I want a tight hiking formation today," the military marching tactics had started out small, with Talonflame riding on Leonarte's shoulders, or Xerneas's back, his hearing was the best of the group, and he could hear a twig break, or a soft sneeze a half a mile away.
A fifty pound bird was nothing to sneeze at when walking. But Leonarte used his friend's weight to strengthen his body when not sparring with Lucario alone. Sparring sessions that involved running battles and quickly summoned and hurled energy balls.
Leonarte was actively suppressing the dark light within him, the dark light of mystery, of death. His opposite was openly flaunting her power now that she had returned. The dreams were only the first sign. He had never told anyone, not even his mother, what really had happened on the day he had escaped captivity.
~~~***~~~
Amelia stared at Leonarte as he stood in a pool of blood, piss, and shit with pieces of flesh speckled here and there within it. All of it was not his, though Amelia wondered if maybe some of the urine in the mess was joined by a bit of Leonarte's. His unitard was soaked through from when they had entered the underground stream and he did look scared enough to have pissed himself.
Though in the past when they had been utilized on missions he had maintained control of his bowels. However this was no mission where she could take the lead in killing; later lying to their superiors about Leonarte's killing ability. The boy, though her male counterpart, lacked the will to kill viciously.
He only killed when it was needed to proceed forward, and usually due to the stealth nature of their assignments little killing was needed. But when they had to drop stealth, he focused on disabling attacks and avoided killing; messes that Amelia happily took care of with the snap of a foe's neck with telekinetic power.
This was escape however; a messy incident with a sizable body count was the projected outcome of what they were trying to do. Which was free themselves of the Organization of Three and maybe return to a life of normalcy. The life they both had before being abducted and trained to kill using their abilities.
Amelia started towards the smaller child, still consumed by her thoughts, when a faint noise made her throw up a light screen behind her. The objects previously in flight towards her bounced off the barrier to land on the cement floor of the maintenance access corridor they had recently battled within.
Darts.
The capture team that approached them in attack formation wore black uniforms with gray gloves and boots. Dark goggles adorned their faces, hiding their frightened eyes. The men had short cropped hair, the women tightly bundled braids tucked under caps identical to the one's their male counterparts wore.
The seven individuals gave off the scent of fear as they pointed non-lethal weapons at the duo a few dozen paces ahead of them.
"Switch to microwave beams!"
The order came over a loudspeaker in the tunnel that Amelia never knew was there. However she had always suspected the group that held them had contingency plans in case communications were disrupted. Which was what Amelia was actively doing with her ability to manipulate electromagnetic waves.
The soldiers thumbed switches near the grips of their weapons before firing invisible beams towards the children. Leonarte held up a hand and hissed in pain as he felt searing pain lance through his palm.
You-hurt-him.
The thought was heard by everyone within the corridor. The intensity of the three words led no one to doubt that the little girl was about to murder someone.
Leonarte bit back a plea for mercy for the soldiers. Knowing full well that Amelia was going to kill them for harming her friend even if he begged. Especially if he begged.
Amelia started to smile as she moved towards the soldiers. Her unprotected feet slid through pools of blood. Creating crimson ripples in her wake. The beams striking her hurt, but she knew that the pain was minor to what she would inflict upon the soldiers.
As her feet slid through the gore that was left of the capture team that had attempted to stop them moments earlier. Amelia was running through what was going to happen next, besides the tearing of flesh and cracking of bones; her training told her the enemy was going to attempt to wear her and Leonarte down by simply sending bodies at them. Once the human soldiers were exhausted, more and more powerful pokémon would be utilized.
Eventually they would either send other empowered children after them or simply give up and attempt to capture them at a later date and time. Time was all that Amelia wanted, time to try and sort out the voices in her head and awaken even more power, the power of the white light. Time to live and be free to decide how she would dress and most importantly time spent with Leonarte outside of missions and training. Maybe even growing older and having children together.
Amelia idly giggled as she felt her aura powers flow into her bloodied fingertips along with the white light. The charge within her body built as lines of power began to waft like spider's webs dancing in the breeze from her flesh. As the pale blue lines of power rose towards the ceiling of the corridor they slowly grew in size and brightness as the child's powers enveloped her in a white bluish hue.
Leonarte suddenly was at Amelia's side, having decided to aid her in their escape fully, knowing that it meant a more direct hand in killing. He joined the other eight-year-old as they stared down their captors soldiers. His right hand reached for and found her left. His dark energy seeping into her aura until they both were enveloped by the three energies. Light, Darkness, and
Aura. Together they combined into a summoned up torrent of power that enveloped the second capture team.
There was no time to scream as telekinetic fueled winds pulled and twisted apart the adults until splatters of gore caked the walls within a small radius in front of the kids. Amelia kissed Leonarte on the cheek and sighed as she let go of his hand as they finished their attack.
"I wonder if sex feels like that? But you know, better?" Amelia giggled.
"Kids should not talk about stuff like that." Leonarte said as he parroted one of the few teachers he had on the island that he liked.
"Kids should not kill, kids should not see their parents die in front of them." Amelia frowned before smiling as if Leonarte had done nothing more than farted. Farts were funny. "Whirlwinds are always better with you around to help make them stronger! Now," Amelia giggled as she pointed in the other direction and gave Leonarte a command. "Let's go!"
"We already came that way!"
"That's what she said!"
"What?" said a confused Leonarte.
"Browse the Internet, it will make you smarter!" Amelia replied. "It's what I do after mind-jacking company employees remotely from my cell when bored. Learned so much that way, you should totally try later. Now, let's adventure on!" Amelia shouted a she took point yet again.
~~~***~~~
Leonarte sat in a library browsing the Internet. The global communications network was easily available via home and hand-held devices. But Leonarte had gone off the grid once the dreams started.
The rural community he found himself in was on an island in a chain of islands in the Northern Hemisphere. He had placed all of his team in pokéballs before entering the place.
Professor Sycamore was the only person he contacted regularly using courier birds and coded messages. He informed him of what was going on in the larger world, and also was paid by him for his research notes; mostly pictures of and observations on Xerneas and other pokémon, as the legendary adventures around together with Leonarte and his team.
If anything Leonarte was well versed in studying subjects from his days as a child assassin. He applied his skills to stalking pokémon in the wild and captured photos of them as well as scans using the pokédex.
Currently he was studying news articles for information about his former partner from his old life. If she was around, murders would happen. She liked killing for things she needed. If she needed money, people would die. Clothing, food, anything that required her to interact with people to get, she would not work for it except to kill for it. Usually eliminating the middleman that was cash kept her off the radar.
The killings would be a beacon and Leonarte was pouring over reports of disappearances and deaths. That was when a blue haired woman sauntered over to him and touched his shoulder with an icy hand. As the chill from her body seeped into his own she jolted him from his thoughts and their eyes met.
Without needing to ask he knew who sent her and simply waited for her to speak as her light blue eyes bore into his own with a sadness that he understood all too well. The sadness of slavery forced upon you after knowing freedom.
"Mistress Amelia, would like words with you, Leonarte." the chilly woman said softly.
