Chapter 1: The Confession

Bleak, early sunlight, three in the morning, Tuesday, July fifteenth. Complete joy overcame Grimm, a young wolf, black fur, with white markings covering his arms. The buzzing alarm was quickly shut off by him, today was exciting for him, as he has a flight to a long time, and lost friend. He did his normal routine: Breakfast, shower, brush, dress.

His mother walked into his bedroom, "You just about ready?" He nodded as he continued to pack. Once finished, he grabbed his bag, and walked down his stairs, his mother right behind him. His phone rang, it was his friend Dark Fang, he quickly answered it,

"Talk to me."

"You heading to the airport?" Dark asked.

"Alright, so I'll be the one picking you up."

"Alright, see you then." "Do you have anything else on you?"

"Alright, go ahead." He continued to walk and grabbed his bags. He sat near his gate, his phone rang again, Dark Fang was calling in again,

"I'm at the airport, my flight should be here in about ten minutes." Grimm said as soon as he opened his phone.

"Alright, how long is the flight?"

"About four hours, I'll be there around five, thirty my time, so about eight thirty your time." He hung up the phone. "Oh, I'm sorry, you'll get someone better." She grabbed his hands.

"Thanks, I might." Grimm brought up his other paw and wiped away a tear falling.

"Now, there isn't a need for tears, enjoy the ride, talk to me and forget everything that has happened." Her smile came back, and Grimm's did as well. Soon enough the plane started to move and then take off. Grimm and Camille chatted the whole flight, easily passing the time, and becoming close friends.

"So your going to see your friend that you have fallen in love with?" Camille asked quite interested.

"Yeah, and I plan on telling her this as soon as I can." Camille gave off a real cute smile.

"Awwww, that's so cute!." Grimm blushed, Camille saw his redness and giggled. Soon enough the plane finally landed, there was light outside the windows, now the time was, eight twenty six am. Grimm and Camille walked out of the plane, exchanged web addresses and waved good bye for now. Grimm went to baggage claim, grabbed his stuff, and started looking for Dark. A black wolf looking straight at him was signaling him, red markings covered his body, yeah, that was Dark.

Grimm quickly jogged to him, " ‘Bout time you showed up." Dark said as he chuckled. Grimm gave him a jab in the shoulder, they quickly left the airport and took the forty minute drive back to Dark's hometown. They joked, laughed and continued to trade a couple of humorous shots. There wasn't much traffic to slow them from their destination, Grimm's excitement grew, almost uncontrollable. Dark parked in front of a motel, Grimm got out and grabbed his bags.

"I'll be back in a couple hours to pick you up." Grimm tapped the back of the car for his response, Dark drove off and Grimm went into the motel. He grabbed his card key for the room he reserved, and went straight to his room. He set his stuff down and flopped on the bed, wishing to doze off to sleep. He quickly jumped up however, no time to dream, he put his clothes into a closet, and some of his stuff into the vault. He paced back and forth, impatient, his phone finally rang, he quickly grabbed it and flipped it open.

"Ya?" Grimm quickly answered.

"I'm sitting in front of the lobby, get your ass down here, or we're gonna be late." Grimm made sure he had the card key to the room and quickly left. He finally got the lobby and jogged outside, opened the door and jumped into the seat. Dark quickly drove off onto the city streets. An awkward silence filled the car, neither one really wanted to talk, Grimm could feel his heart flutter and Dark just concentrated on the road, getting to their destination. Once they finally reached it, Dark's school, both of them, hopped out of the car, the cool wind blowing past Grimm's fur, it made him shiver a bit, they grabbed their bags from the trunk of the car, and headed inside. Dark directed Grimm to the classroom he needed to be at, and they split from one another.

Grimm got to the classroom and took a seat in the back. "Now, there isn't much need for that." He said with a chuckle.

"I didn't know you were gonna be here!" She said, almost jumping in his arms.

"I got two months here, I came down to see you." His gold tooth showed and shine. Others stared, wondering who this wolf was, and how he was able to hold one of the most gorgeous looking girls at the school.

Now, it was lunch time, and they were gonna meet up with Dark, and there, he would tell her how he really felt for her. Once in the mess hall, they sat down, Dark showed up a little later, they talked, they laughed, and were happy to finally have the gang back together. Grimm now thought was a good time to finally say something to her, he got closer to her.

"Ruby, there is something I have been aching to tell you for a while." He said with a blush.

"What is it?" She looked questionably at him.

"Well, I mean, I should have said something before you left...." His voice trailed off as he got a little more nervous, "I lo.." He was cut off by Ruby jumping and running to another wolf and hugging him tightly. Grimm looked confused, she ran off, she walked back to him with the other wolf.

"Guys, this is my boyfriend Rick." Grimm, was now heart broken, his soul seemed to be crushed as his love was already taken, he went into a depression.

"Yo Rick." Grimm responded trying to hide his sadness. Rick took Ruby away for a minute, Grimm went to Dark and got a little frustrated.

"And you didn't tell me she had a boyfriend why?"

"I never knew, I never saw him before." Dark said honestly. Grimm cracked his knuckles, as his frustration built. They came back, and Ruby sat was going to sit next to Grimm, but Rick insisted she sit next to him, she did as she was told. An awkward silence went between the group, as it seemed like they could talk about nothing because Rick didn't like what they started to talk about. Every time Grimm said something, school, clothing, home life, Rick told Ruby not to say anything, this started to really make Grimm mad, as obviously Rick was the controlling type. His anger grew as he sat there, Rick finally got up and left.

"Isn't he the best." Ruby said with a giggle. Grimm said nothing and sighed, showing a bit of sadness within it, Ruby caught this, "What's the matter?"

"Hmmm? Oh, nothing." Grimm stayed silent, he felt that he may not thing it's the best choice, but it seems she is happy. She nodded, and got up and left for the next class, she waited outside the doorway. Grimm got up and started walking toward her, he bumped into another student, the student got mad.

They stepped around him, Grimm, not thinking clearly, decided to stay, Dark decided to help, he has helped him get through worst anyway. Dark grabbed the one of the wolfs from the pack and tossed him aside, the others got distracted, so Grimm threw a jab at one of them, connecting to the side of the wolf's face, he went out cold. This brawl went down quickly, Grimm meant business, and Dark was the support of it. Ruby, looked scared and confused, she didn't know what irritated Grimm, she thought for a minute, still waiting for him. She decided to ignore the thought and ran toward him.

"Are you ok Grimm?!" She asked worried.

"Better now." His simple response still in complete anger, his nicked ear gave a twitch. She looked worried, like she might have offended him or something, usually Grimm is an easy going, loveable guy, she never seen his dark side before. They walked to the next class, staying silent the whole way there, Grimm was trying to calm down, regaining his composure. Once he finally cooled down, he gave a small smile, showing he was better, Ruby, didn't think so. He tried telling her, it was just a thing that happened to him that he remembered, an uncontrollable urge as he sort of described it, she wasn't convinced.

"Grimm, why were you upset? I don't want you to hurt, and I feel like you still are." She said with sadness in her voice.

"I'm fine Ruby, I just had a small break down."

"That's the thing, why did you have it?" Her looks became anxious, and her fur ruffled from this.

"Ruby, I don't want you to feel like this, it isn't your fault." She grabbed his arm, making him stop, she looked deep into his eyes, he heard her whimper as her lip quivered with sadness, almost looking about to cry right then and there. He didn't what to do, he thought about for a quick second, then out of instinct, he wrapped his big furry arms around her and pulled her in close, she could hear his heart beat, ever faster in his body. She hugged him back and held him tightly, not wanting to let someone close to her go.

"Tell me Grimm, what's bugging you?"

"I...don't know if I should say.." His voiced trailed off.

"You can tell me, you don't need to worry about a thing." He thought long and hard, trying to figure out whether if he should tell her how he really felt towards her, but doubts came about, like if she would get mad for not telling her this earlier, get really sad because her best friend fell in love with her, if she would go in denial and laugh because she thought it was a joke.

"Grimm?" He was sort of lost deep in thoughts, the sound of her voice broke his concentration. He looked deep into her eyes, his eyes shook with worry and nervousness, aching to tell her that he loved her so deeply.

"Ruby, I, have been aching to tell you this." He sighed for a moment, " I know I should have told you this before you left, and its been killing me since I never got the chance to say.." His voice trailed off.

"What is it Grimm?" Her eyes full of curiosity.

His heart beat even faster now, "I lo-love you Ruby." His eyes widen as he finally came up with it. Her looks, became flustered, not knowing how to feel about his confession. She looked away from his face, he let go of her.

"I'm sorry that I finally came out with it, forget I said anything." He said with sadness in his voice. "No....He seems to be over controlling and doesn't even want to give us a chance to get to know him." He said with complete honesty. She took his opinion into consideration and started to think of what should be done. She held his hand and walked him to her next class, they sat down next to each other yet again, and continued to talk about their past lives, however now, things started to get more loving, as they both have confessed, they made each other blush, Grimm made Ruby giggle and she made him chuckle, the two started to seem inseparable. "Ya, but I will be able to see you tomorrow." He said with a small smile to keep her happy. She smiled back and gave him one last kiss before she got on the bus, Grimm waved goodbye and went to Dark's car. Dark was sitting there, on his hood, waiting for him, snickering to himself.

"What?" Grimm said as he laughed.

"Looks like someone got what they wanted." Dark continued to snicker.

"Hey, I'm just glad I know she loves me back."

"Yea, well, get in the car, I'll drop you back off at the motel." They both hopped in, and Dark drove off. Unlike the first time in the car, they actually started to talk, saying what needs to be done, what all of them should do together, and how the next two months are going to go like. Grimm got out of the car, waved goodbye and went to the top floor, to his room. He swiped the card down, opened the door and tossed his stuff onto the floor, he laid down on the bed and gave a huge sigh of relief and couldn't wait for the next day.

Chapter 2: Early Morning
