Chapter 5: Go To Him
#5 of The Mating Season 2:
Chapter 5: Go To Him
When they entered the village, Kilyan saw his father and Loryn exchange nods, then Loryn turned away up another street, Lea still hanging miserably over his shoulder, and Kel gestured curtly for his son and Keeno to follow him. They went to Keeno's hut, where Kel informed Keeno's father Yzlo of what had taken place that day. Kilyan felt sorry for Keeno when his father grabbed him by the ear and declared that another firm whipping was in order. When Kilyan and his father left, they could hear Keeno's miserable cries as Yzlo whipped him with a leather strap.
Kilyan followed miserably behind his father, his head down, and firmly anticipated another whipping of his own. He prayed that his mother would be at home when they arrived -- maybe his mother would stop it! -- but when they entered the hut it seemed quiet and empty and Kilyan remembered with a pang that his mother was out tending to their sheep while his younger sister Zalia was probably with their mother or at their grandmother's house, learning those things that females learned.
Kilyan groaned inside. There was no denying the fact that his father had seen him exchanging smiles with Lea in those few seconds that he had marched behind Loryn. There was no denying it. But he was surprised when, rather than going for a leather strap, Kel hung his spear in the rack on the wall and sat on the sitting furs spread near the barren fire pit. Folding his legs, he gestured for Kilyan to do the same.
Kilyan scrambled to obey and tried not to wince when he sat down. His buttocks were still smarting from the whipping and he could still feel the dried tears on his cheeks. He sat beside his father and waited but could not look at him. When silence ensued, he finally glanced up and realized that his father was watching him and that he looked . . . embarrassed!
"It's my fault," Kel said at last, "for not having this talk with you sooner. But I . . . I have never been a male very good with words."
Kilyan sat very still and realized he was about to receive his malehood talk.
"There is no excuse for shirking your duties, Kilyan, that you should know!" said Kel with sudden menace, and Kilyan bowed his head.
"But. . . . as for your accident with Lea." Kel cleared his throat and stared at the fire pit. "I'm sure it was nothing more than an accident, but there are things you should understand, the true dangers of approaching a female before your first mating season."
Kilyan watched his father intently, his ears pricking forward.
"I know you never would have intentionally harmed Lea, my son, but Lea could have said otherwise. If Lea had accused you of raping her and we could not prove you hadn't, the punishment would have been severe."
Kel lifted his head and looked at his son. "I know Lea would never falsely accuse you of raping her, but even a kiss outside of the mating season -- if it is forced -- can be perceived as rape by a female. Young females are ignorant of the ways of the mating season, my son. They do not understand what happens there and by order of the village council, they are not supposed to understand until they themselves have gone. So very young females can wrongly accuse a male of a rape and truly believe they have been violated, and if there is enough evidence, you could be cast from the village as a lone wolf."
Kilyan gasped. "Even -- even just for kissing her?"
"If she said the kiss was forced and no one could prove otherwise, yes," answered Kel. "You would be striped of your talismans and your war paint as a warrior. You would be beaten with the fists and the clubs of the angry father and any other wolf who wanted to participate. And they would burn the mark of the lone wolf on your forehead for the crime. And you would spend the rest of your life alone without a tribe, without a mate, living in the wilderness. No settlements anywhere would take you in."
"All that over a kiss?"
"Did you kiss Lea?" Kel asked, and Kilyan tried not to shrink into himself at the warning glint in his father's eyes.
"Father, no!" Kilyan cried with large, imploring eyes. "I -- I did nothing but try to help her carry her wood! She wouldn't let me help. Lea has never liked me. She firmly ignores me every time she comes over here --"
"As she should, Kilyan. That is the custom before your first mating season."
Kilyan bowed his head. "Yes, Father."
Kilyan was surprised when he felt his father's paw rest affectionately on his head and looked up.
"You are young and inexperienced and you lost control when you fell on top of Lea. You could not help it, my son. Those small mistakes . . . they're a part of growing up. And so long as you learn from them, it is okay to make them. But now you know that you must fear more than a whipping from me, don't you? Now you know you might face banishment if you are caught alone with a female again. Kilyan!"
Kilyan looked up again, and his father said with a smile, "Don't get caught."
Kilyan swallowed his amazement and smiled back. Emboldened by his father's smile, he wanted to ask so many questions about females, but he was too embarrassed and didn't know where to start. The words stammered around in his head, and in the end he could only gaze imploringly at his father, who seemed amused.
"You can ask me, Kilyan. I'll answer to the best of my ability."
Kilyan gazed gratefully at his father and asked, "Father, how did you -- how did you make Mom like you?"
Kel laughed softly. "I wasn't quite as brave as you at sixteen, Kilyan. I didn't really approach your mother until the mating season. I was gentle with her and I confessed my love for her, and I guess she fell in love with me too."
"And did you ever . . . lose control -- like me?" Kilyan asked sheepishly.
"I've had my moments," Kel answered with a dreamy smile Kilyan had never seen on his father's face before.
What moments? Kilyan wondered but it might have been too much to ask. So he said nothing, and when his father noticed him staring in amazement, he ordered him outside and to do pushups until he was relieved. Kilyan daren't protest: he had shirked his duties as a warrior. He climbed miserably to his feet and went to the door.
"And don't let me come out there and catch you not pushing!" Kel called after him.
"Yes, Father!"
Kel smiled after his son as he hurried outside. What would Kilyan think of him if he knew what moments he'd been talking about? He'd been talking about those times spent with Loryn under the waterfall, those nights in Zaldon's arms, the time Zaldon's younger brother Lynny -- a male not even beyond his first mating season and yet so skilled in bed -- had taken Kel so forcefully and yet so sweetly in his hut. Those times had been a struggle for him, the endless struggle against his own passion, his own humiliation, this constant inner struggle in his soul.
"Kel?"
Kel looked around and his ears pricked forward. He was shocked to see his wife standing in the curtained doorway that led to the other rooms of the hut. She smiled at him, and relief washed over him when she sat at his side. Aliona laid her head on Kel's shoulder, and he reached over out of old habit, out of old love, and stroked her mane behind her neck.
"Kilyan had his first accident, I see."
"Yes," answered Kel softly. "Lea. She wandered off in the forest alone. And Kilyan and Keeno found her."
"You know why she's being so rebellious?"
"What do I know about teenage girls?"
"Well, you have one!" laughed Aliona.
"Exactly, and I still know not a goddamned thing about them. Zalia talks to me now about as much as she talks to the wall. And Lea is very headstrong. I can only imagine what poor Kira and Loryn are going through."
"Exactly. Lea is doing these things to spite her parents. She's angry that they're separated. I only wish there was something we could do to get Kira and Loryn back together."
"Aliona, it's been years."
"I know. But Kira still loves him. She really does. She just wants him to love her and only her."
Kel gave a bitter laugh. "That's not possible. Not with Loryn. Loryn would have seven wives and seven husbands if he could. And he would love them all."
"So he still loves Kira?"
"Of course. He was telling me today how much it crushed him when she kicked him out."
"Why was he telling you that?" said Aliona as if she already knew.
"Well, aren't you going to kick me out? Pummel me with your fists? Beat me on the head with a rolling pin?"
"No. No. And maybe."
Kel laughed and put his arm around his wife. "Oh, Aliona! If any male ever loved a female . . ." He kissed Aliona on the lips, but she pulled away.
"Oh, no, you don't! What about Zaldon? You called out his name!"
"I know," said Kel miserably.
"Don't you know what this means?"
When Kel only gazed miserably at the floor, his wife said, "It means it's time to go to the winter village."
Kel looked around at Aliona, shocked. "But -- Aliona --" he stammered, unable to believe what he'd just heard. "I can't just --"
"Your body has needs, Kel. And if I'm not meeting them, it's time for you to go relieve them. Go to him, Kel. Go to Zaldon and make love to him, and hopefully you will call out my name when you're with him."
Kel laughed. He kissed Aliona again on the lips, and pressing his forehead to hers, he whispered, "Thank you."
"And you're taking Kilyan with you."
"I am?"
"Yes! I think he should be away from Lea for a while until things settle down. Kira is going to be furious, and so is Loryn, and Lea will look for any way to spite them again. We can not let her use Kilyan to do this!"
"Right," Kel agreed with a weary sigh. "I just wish there was some way, you know, to make Loryn settle down. He was doing so well before he met Eno."
Aliona rose suddenly. "Let me tell you goodbye before you go," she whispered, and as Kel gazed up at her, she dropped her shawl from her shoulders, revealing her great breasts and their pink nipples. She smiled at her husband, then turned and disappeared behind the curtain with her tail swishing. Kel sprang after her.
In the gloom of their bedroom, Aliona was stretched out on the bed, her round hips twisted to the side, her breasts still a little high, still a little perky. She stretched her arms above her head and arched her belly toward the ceiling, thrusting her great breasts out, and Kel was beside himself. Scooping a paw under his wife's back, he plunged his face into those great breasts with such fervor that Aliona cried out. He licked her breasts, kissed them, sucked hungrily at the nipples. Aliona wiggled and squirmed under him, and when he started stroking gently at her clit, she murmured his name.
"Oh, Kel," Aliona whispered when Kel slid his fingers gently in her sex.
Kel's fingers glided in and out, caressing, stroking. And now he knelt between her thighs, focusing his touch on that hot, wet sheath of muscle. He slid his fingers in and out, then grazed the pussy lips, then pinched them. His fingers went to that swollen nodule of flesh and caressed, gently rubbing, gently stroking. Aliona moaned and blushed and her juices came sticky over Kel's fingers. He leaned down and slurped her passion away, then kissed her sex, then licked it again. He saw Aliona's paws squeeze into fists on the furs and knew she was reaching a climax when he gave her clit a slow, wet suck. He applied the same slow sucks to her pussy lips, and then his tongue was gliding over the rim of her opening. A shudder went through Aliona's entire frame. When Kel backed off a little, licking her thighs, running his paws up and down them, she groaned out, "Don't tease me!"
Kel smiled. Yes, she was very swollen now, very wet, and very near. He smoothed his paws up both her thighs and spread them wider, and then he was slipping his hard cock into those tight, wet walls, into the hot sheath that after birthing two pups could still quench the craving in his dick. Kel's head fell back and he moaned, muttering Aliona's name as he drove himself deeper.
Aliona was gasping shrilly now, out of breath, very flushed in the face. Yes, she was ready to let go. Still moving rhythmically inside of her, Kel leaned forward and gathered Aliona into his arms, showering her breasts, her neck, her contorted face with kisses.
"Oh, Kel," Aliona panted in his ear as he moved inside her. Her breasts were smashed into his chest, his big arms were strong and tight around her and were trembling with his passion, with his struggle to slide deeper and deeper within the walls of her gushing pussy. He felt Aliona's nails dig in his back as she released with a little cry. Kel was in ecstasy when her juices closed over him afresh. He gave a whimpering sigh and drove himself deeper still, and Aliona whispered again, "Oh, Kel, I - I love you so much --"
Aliona looked at her husband and a tear trembled in the corner of her eye. Kel's brows drew together in concern and he kissed his wife on the mouth, kissed her deeply and passionately and warmly. Aliona shivered under the kiss, and he showered her face with kisses, still moving inside of her.
"Aliona, my Aliona, what's wrong?" Kel whispered. He pulled back to look at her and cupped her face. But she only pulled him close again, shook her head vigorously, begged him not to stop. He was worried, but her walls contracted tight around him, and he came at last with a long, low moan.
They were weak afterwards. While they lay there catching their breath, Aliona rolled over with her back to Kel, and he was alarmed to hear her sniffling. He rose up on his elbow at once, peering over her shoulder at her face.
"Aliona?" Kel whispered, brushing her mane behind her neck and kissing her. "Please talk to me, my Aliona," he whispered between kisses.
Aliona rolled over, buried her face in her husband's hard chest, and sobbed. Kel was utterly bewildered and miserable. Past experience told him he need only coax Aliona a little and she would tell him what was on her mind. So he waited, holding her to his chest, kissing her head, stroking her mane, and wondering anxiously what on earth was the matter.
After a while, Aliona's sniffling quieted and she whispered, "Oh, Kel, I'm so afraid."
"Afraid of what, Aliona?" Kel asked gently.
"You thought I was going to kick you out, that I was mad that you called out Zaldon's name, but the truth is I was frightened. I was frightened you might leave me for Zaldon!"
"Oh, Aliona, I would never --!"
"You and Zaldon love each other! It's not a secret! You miss him terribly, you've missed him for years. What if you went to him and didn't come back to me? I don't know what I'd d-do . . ."
"Oh, Aliona, I'm not going to leave you for Zaldon! Not for Zaldon, not for anyone! Do you know why Zaldon chose to stay in the winter village? Because he knew I would never leave you. Because I chose you!"
"R-Really?"
"Yes," whispered Kel, kissing his wife on the head. "I love Zaldon but my life with you -- I won't give that up. And maybe when I go to see Zaldon, he'll turn me away because of that. He already turned me away once."
Feeling reassured, Aliona snuggled closer to her husband and pecked him on the lips. "He won't turn you away, Kel."
Kel lifted his eyebrows, surprised. "Why do you say that?"
"Because no male has ever been able to."
