#4 of On Wings of Shadow

The 4th chapter is finally finished. (It took me a bit longer than I had expected ^^)

Yes, I know it is rather massive compared to chapter 2&3.

As I have mentioned before, there are also some new characters in this chapter. (I hope you like them, because they're going to appear again in some of the future chapters ;)

And now..

Have fun reading!

The stage is set for the banquet.

On Wings of Shadow

The banquet

„Come on Tirran, hurry up! You're falling behind again." The black wolf laughed as he spurred his horse and rode back to the front of the marching column.

Tirran Valryn groaned. The movement of his horse made him feel incredibly sick. He brought up a hand to shield his eyes from the sunlight that was shining through the trees. It was far too early to be awake and traveling; getting up early was definitely among the less favorable aspects of a soldier's life. He tried desperately to keep his stomach from rebelling.

"Looks like our poor foxy has a hangover! Well, that's what you get for chasing tails in every single tavern along the road to the capital."

He raised his head and stared at the doberman riding in front of him. "Damnit Silena, stop barking so fucking loud! My ears are ringing already!" He massaged his temples as his breakfast tried to fight its way up his throat. Just why had he drunk so much the night before.. Well.. he had been trying to impress one of the younger soldiers.. successfully of course. It was always nice to have somebody to warm his bed for him, especially if that somebody was young and handsome..

Silena chuckled as the fox began to cough, finally losing the fight and his breakfast. "Can't even hold your liquor hm? I hope you didn't get your pretty tail dirty."

"Stop arguing already, The whole empire must have heard you by now!"

Silena turned around to look at the rider in the center of the column. King Logan II of Kerennya was a large gray wolf and right now he didn't look too happy. The golden chains around his neck sparkled as a thin ray of sunlight broke through the leafs and passed over them.

"You've been at this since we left Walgrundt, and that was three days ago!" A light breeze made his cloak flutter, causing him to shake his head as it started to tickle the thick fur at his neck. On any normal occasion he could have enjoyed a long ride in the sun, but it was literally impossible with those two. He sighed as he lifted a gloved hand and his coat fell back over his shoulder, exposing the crest of Kerennya, the twin wolves, on his vest. "General Talan, we're going to make camp here, until lord Valryn feels capable of riding again!"

Silena snickered. She couldn't remember a single situation in which Tirran had felt unable to "ride", although he normally didn't ride horses. Well.. at least not four-legged ones.

"You heard the king you mutts!" The black wolf stopped his horse and dismounted. "Get your stuff to the side of the road! Ah corporal Tares, I see you're carrying some other soldier's baggage again! I guess I don't even have to ask whose it is, right?" The general walked over to the corporal, a gray wolf, who was nervously glancing at the young husky bitch next to him.

The doberman sighed as she watched good old Kerras explaining the basics of military discipline to the unlucky corporal. Her view shifted to the husky and she couldn't help but think, that private Kenra was definitely worth all the trouble.

Kerras Talan turned around to face the rest of the soldiers. "Now.. I need somebody to pitch a tent for our dear Lord Valryn.. any volunteers?"

Silena burst into laughter, almost losing her helmet as her body jerked forward. "Why don't you just ask Tirran to get off his horse and bend over? I bet you'll have plenty of tents to choose from in no time!"

The fox groaned as he climbed off his horse. "You're just jealous." He took of his thin gloves and laid down in the shade of a tree, leaning against its stem. The feeling of the soft breeze washing over his snout was a welcome diversion from the shaking movements of his horse.

The king dismounted and looked at the trees around them. The forest of Bremont was among the biggest in the empire, and it was the only natural border between Iskar and Kerennya. The land on the other side was ruled by the emperor himself, not just in his name.. He scratched at his eyepatch. Sometimes he even forgot that his left eye was missing, but the warm weather made the wound itch somehow.

The fox was still lying in the shade when Logan came over to him. "Tirran if you needed rest, you should have just told me about that before we left. I don't want you to look like a fool in front of your soldiers."

"They call me "Silktail" you know?" Tirran looked up at the whispering leafs with a dreamy expression.

"Everybody knows that. It's because you have to brush it all the time." The king took off his cloak and sat down next to him.

"Well.. I have to look pretty if I don't want to sleep alone. My tail is probably the only good thing about me.." His hand brushed over the soft, bushy appendage.

"You know that's not true, you're a good guy." The wolf grinned as he leaned back against the tree stem.

They sat quietly for some time, until general Talan came over to them. "Sire, lord Valryn's tent is ready and Lady Neera is waiting for you."

Logan groaned. Lady Neera was the youngest of his five wives, a beautiful fennec fox whose fur was almost as soft as Tirran's tail. He had asked her to stay in Walgrundt, but she had insisted on traveling with him. He didn't really know why he just couldn't say no to her though.. He got up and brushed some dust off his back. "You better go and get some rest Tirran, there's still a long way ahead of us and I'd hate to be late for the banquet."

Tirran watched as the wolves left, before he got up and stumbled over to his tent. He really needed some sleep right now.

It was a bright sunny day and the warmth of the sunlight, as well as the sweet voice of his mate, had convinced Serath that it was time for a walk around the palace grounds. The palace of Iskar felt almost alive with all the servants scurrying around.

The fine gravel crunched softly underneath his paws as he entered the palace gardens and inhaled the scent of the flowers. He lay down in front of a low fountain and took a sip of the clear water, turning his head to see if anyone had noticed. A couple of servants came hurrying past him, carrying some sort of flagpole. He watched them disappearing around a corner as a shadow raced over the ground. Shielding his eyes from the sunlight with a paw, he raised his head.

Sirion was soaring through the sky above the palace. He folded his wings and went into a dive, screeching with joy as he became faster. Down below he could see his mate watching him. It was great to be able to fly again; to feel the wind brushing over his wings, to see the world deep down below him. It was pure, unrestricted freedom. He spread his wings and went into a barrel roll, before he slowed down and glid softly through the warm air.

Up here, he was the happiest dragon in the world. Well.. almost. He looked at his mate, who was waiting for him down in the gardens. It would be much better if he had wings too. Sirion imagined what it would be like to fly through the warm breeze by his side, to see those wonderful black scales reflecting the sunlight.. no world below them, just the endless sky above and the deep blue eyes of his lover. He sighed as he began to sink.

Serath smiled as his lover landed on the soft grass next to him. "I hope you enjoyed your flight sugartail."

Giggling, Sirion cuddled up to him, gently rubbing his head against the side of the black dragon's neck. "I did, thank you." He gave Serath a tender lick and blushed slightly. "I.. was starting to miss you up there though."

"I missed you too." The black dragon grabbed his muzzle and pulled him into a deep kiss. When their lips parted again, Sirion was smiling widely. "You made me truly happy when you chose me as your mate, you know?."

The green dragon gave him a puzzled look. "But you.. I mean.. you chose me right?"

Serath nodded. "I did, and you stayed with me, although nothing was holding you back."

"There.. um.. there was something that held me back." Sirion looked deep into his eyes. The black dragon gave him a questioning look when he grabbed his paw and placed it on his chest.

Serath looked at his paw, firmly pressed against the green scales of his lover. His heartbeat was strong and fast. He raised his view as he realized what his lover meant and found him smiling softly.

"I.. lost it right there in your chamber. I wanted to get out at first, but.. I couldn't.. I saw you lying there and I just couldn't. It wouldn't let me." He blushed as a single tear rolled down his muzzle. "It belongs to you now and I know you'll take good care of it."

"Siri.. I.. I'll always care for you. I love you." He wiped the tear off his mate's cheek, before he kissed him again. "We could go back inside if you want. There's still lots of time before the banquet begins, and I want to spend it with you."

"My mother used to call me Siri when I was a hatchling.." He smiled softly. "Let's go inside, I'd love to spend some time with you."

The two dragons left the gardens again, heading back towards the palace. After some time Naissa peeked around the corner. So that was what they were doing when she wasn't around.. She sighed. "Why do they get all romantic once I'm gone? I mean.. I like that too and Sirion is just so sweet, he could make a rock cry." She stared at a little bird by her feet, but it just kept picking at the gravel for some time, before it flew away.

* * *

Sirion giggled happily as he opened the door to the emperor's chambers and entered, followed by his lover who was eagerly licking the green dragon's neck. He laid down on the bed with a winning smile. "Well.. we made it to the bed, which means I won."

The black dragon laughed softly as he closed the door and climbed onto the bed next to his lover. "I haven't thought about a reward yet, so.. You get to choose."

Sirion blushed as he rolled his mate over onto his back. "Hmm.. There is something I've been wanting to try for some time now.." He licked his lips as he traced a claw across the black dragon's sheath.

"I see.." Serath moaned as he felt something warm and slick sliding across his heavy balls.

The tip of Sirion's tongue danced across the tender scales of his lover's sack, until the tip of the black dragon's emerging cock slipped out of the tight opening of his sheath. Sirion grinned as he welcomed the tender organ with his tongue, softly wrapping it around the hardening shaft.

Serath closed his eyes and let his head fall back onto the pillows as his cock was drawn into the hungry maw of his lover. He purred in pleasure as his sensitive length was encased in the wet heat of the green dragon's muzzle and the eager, slick embrace of his tongue. The intensity of the stimulation caused him to clench his teeth, when he suddenly felt something scratching against his now rock hard dragonhood. Groaning he opened his eyes again and found a certain raptoress staring down at him.

"Naissa? How did you.. hng.. I didn't even hear you open the door." He gasped as his lover's teeth made contact with his flesh again.

"Oh I followed you for some time, and when I heard you groaning, I thought you might need some help.. or company." The raptor gave him an innocent smile, before she turned her attention to Sirion. "His first try hm? Judging by your reactions, I'd say he's trying to get you off with his teeth." She giggled as she noticed the black dragon wincing again. "Don't worry, I'll lend him a hand.. or a tongue."

Sirion slipped his muzzle off his mate's throbbing member and licked his lips. "Oh.. Naissa.. I.. noticed you coming in, but I was.. um.. quite busy here."

"Hi Sirion. Looks like you're having some trouble with that.." She walked around the bed and sat down on the opposite side. "So.. I guess I'll just have to show you how it's done." The raptor climbed onto the bed and kneeled down next to Serath.

"Um.. wait a second Naissa, I'm not sure if Sirion.." He gasped when she started to stroke his cock.

"You do want him to get better at this right? Well.. Sirion do you mind if we have a little fun together?" She looked at the green dragon in front of her.

"I.. um.. actually I just wanted to have some fun with my mate.." He blushed, swallowing visibly. "I.. guess it's okay.. You can join us if you want."

"See? He likes the idea. He's a bit shy about it, but I guess he just needs some more time to open up." She giggled as Sirion averted his gaze. "You don't have to be ashamed boy, you should be able to tell your mate if you want to try something." The green dragon nodded slowly and smiled as Naissa winked at him.

"Um.. do I get to say something, too?"

The raptor turned her attention to the black dragon again. "Well of course. You can moan and squirm all you want, while I teach your lover how to pleasure a male dragon with his maw."

"Well that sounds nice, but.." He groaned as the raptor gently squeezed his throbbing length, causing a thick drop of precum to emerge from its tip before it slowly trickled down his twitching shaft.

"Oh come on Serath.. Let's play together for some time. We just need that beautiful cock of yours and it seems so eager to help.." She gave his rod another soft squeeze and the thin trickle of his clear fluids turned into a steady flow.

Sirion gently tilted his reluctant mate's muzzle with a paw before he gave him a long, tender kiss. "It's alright honeyscale, I.. don't mind. I mean.. I'm right here with you after all."

Serath let his head fall back again, moaning loudly as the raptor started to stroke his cock again. "Okay.. fine. I'll play along sugartail." He licked his lips.

Naissa smirked. "Great. Now just relax and enjoy." She turned her head to Sirion. "Come a bit closer sweetie, I don't bite."

The green dragon brought his muzzle closer to the throbbing rod in her hand, deeply inhaling the scent of his lover. He watched the clear fluid running down along its underside and his mouth began to water.

"Now this time, don't just swallow it." The raptor began to stroke Sirion's muzzle. "Take your time and watch how his body reacts to you."

Sirion gently rubbed his scaled snout against the base of his lover's cock, drawing a long moan from the black dragon. He could feel drips of his mate's precious fluids falling onto the tip of his muzzle.

"Good boy. Now.. how about you try licking it.." She purred in pleasure as Sirion went to work, slowly sliding his soft tongue along the quivering shaft in long tender strokes. His motions were affectionate almost worshipping.

The green dragon moaned in pleasure as he licked the precum off his lover's throbbing length. Each stroke of his tongue was rewarded with another fresh gush of the delicious liquid. Serath gasped and squirmed under his tender ministrations. Smiling, he brought up a paw, carefully stroking the black dragon's heavy sack while he his own erection started to press against the sheets, trapped between the bed and his body.

"You're doing good boy, I guess it's time for the next step." She grinned as she grabbed one of his horns, gently guiding his muzzle upwards until the tip of Serath's slick member was pressing against his lips. "Now.. remember how you sucked your own cock.. You already know what's going to make your mate feel good, because it's the same things that you enjoy too."

Sirion blushed brightly while the throbbing organ in front of him released a gush of clear fluid against his lips, urging him to give it another lick. He slowly opened his maw and allowed the tapered tip to slide into the welcoming warmth of his muzzle. His mate moaned in pleasure as his cock rewarded the green dragon's efforts with another liquid treat. It felt great to be able to pleasure him like this, his twitching length bending to the will of his tongue as it circled around the sensitive underside of his glans. He smirked as he started to slide his muzzle further down, taking more and more of the wonderful organ in his mouth, before he stopped and started to slide up again.

Naissa stroked Sirion's head approvingly as he started to set into a slow steady rhythm, his muzzle sliding almost completely off the black dragon's cock, letting him feel the cool breeze on his wet trembling shaft, before engulfing him in the heat of his maw once again. "That's great boy, just remember to keep your teeth out of the way."

Serath was moaning in pleasure. He felt the tongue of his lover encircling his cock, gently wrapping around it whenever his muzzle started to slide upwards, exposing his sensitive dragonhood to the cool air before it was finally sucked in again. "Sirion if you keep that up I.."

Naissa laid a finger on her lips. "Shh! Stop talking, your job is just to hold still. If you're ready, let him figure it out himself."

Sirion could feel the hot shaft throbbing in his mouth as it gave up more of its precious lubricant. He slid his muzzle upwards until only a small part of his lover's length remained in his maw and stopped, causing the black dragon to squirm and groan in bliss as he started to gently suck on the tip while he lapped at its sensitive underside.

Serath gasped as the sensation sent him over the edge and his cock started to shoot his hot essence into the hungry maw of his mate.

The raptor purred when she noticed what was happening, gently stroking the back of Sirion's head while he greedily sucked on the pulsing treat in his muzzle, eagerly swallowing every drop of cum the black dragon had to offer. "There's a good boy. Don't spill a single drop.. just take all of it.. you earned it."

When the flow finally started to ebb, Sirion gently massaged his lover's balls with his paw, trying to coax more of his delicious essence out and into his muzzle.

Serath was panting heavily. He tried to raise his head off the pillows and groaned as Sirion continued to milk him off his essence. "I.. aahh.. I guess that's all I can offer you right now, unless you.. hng.. want to start over again.." He felt the green dragon sucking once more, as if to check if he was still holding something back, before he allowed his oversensitive cock to slide out of his muzzle.

Grinning, Sirion licked his lips. "I see why my body wouldn't want to give that up again.. you're delicious!" He giggled softly as he snuggled up to his exhausted mate.

"I'm glad you like it." Serath smiled as he planted a soft kiss on the green dragon's snout. He felt his lover's shaft softening against his side. "Oh.. sugartail, you didn't.."

Sirion gave his neck a playful lick. "It's okay, I wanted to do this after all."

"That was.. fantastic." The black dragon tenderly rubbed his snout against his lover's muzzle as he purred into his ear. "I'll make it up to you later.."

Naissa grinned as she watched them. "It's nice to see that I was able to help you, but we have to get going now."

Serath looked at his mate and sighed. "Well.. I guess she's right.. Naissa, would you please hand me the satchel from under the bed."

He watched as the raptor climbed off and fetched the bag he had asked for. Serath opened it and the gently glowing orb rolled onto the soft sheets. He held it into the light and watched as the colors flowed across its surface before he turned to his lover. "Um.. sugartail would you please raise your leg for me?"

Sirion giggled as he raised his leg and Serath carefully placed his paw on his sheath. He felt the claws of his lover gently opening the tight orifice before the glowing sphere began to squeeze its way inside. The green dragon groaned as the orb began to stretch the tight slit, slowly expanding the opening until it popped into his sheath once again. "Aahh.. mmh.. I love that orb.." He licked his lips as one of his paws stroked over the bulge in his sheath. "It fits just so perfectly.. as if it was always meant to be in there.."

Smiling, the black dragon rubbed his mate's belly, causing him to giggle softly. "Well since I created it for you, it really was meant to go in there. I'm glad you enjoy it sugartail."

Sirion blushed and gave him a lustful grin."I.. still want to try that other thing.. you know.. the one we talked about yesterday.." He grabbed the black dragons horns and pulled him into a deep kiss.

Naissa loudly cleared her throat. "As much as I'd love to watch you two go at it again.. and I'd really love that.. I'm afraid we have to go."

The green dragon whimpered softly as his mate broke the kiss. "Well.. I guess Ki'Ja wouldn't be too happy if I left her waiting again." He gave Sirion's neck a long tender lick.

"You have no idea how horny you've just made me.." Sirion sighed as he got up and climbed off the bed. "Too bad you can't see it right now.." He giggled as he winked at his lover.

"Well.. I would do a little more than just.. watch it." Serath gave his mate an innocent smile as the green dragon blushed fiercely. He climbed off the bed as he heard the silent sound of bells outside. "Looks like the first guests are arriving." The black dragon sighed as he walked over to his mate. "I.. guess I better go and welcome them." He gave his lover a long passionate kiss before he turned around and walked over to the low table to get his medallion. "I'm looking forward to finally seeing you in your dress sugartail." Serath winked at the blushing dragon as he left the room.

Sirion sighed. "I.. am missing him already. That's pretty silly, right? I mean.. he just left a second ago and I know he'll just be gone for a couple of hours, but still.."

"You're in love sweetie, it's okay to feel like that." The raptor stroked his neck comfortingly. "Come on now, let's show everyone just how pretty you are."

* * *

The cooks in the imperial kitchen were confused and nervous. A banquet was a very special occasion, but right now that was not their main problem.

Ki'Jala sniffed at the pot in front of her. "What's that supposed to be?"

One of the cooks was pushed forward as the others tried to hide behind him, which looked pretty ridiculous. "Um.. Kerennian soup, your majesty." The young otter gulped as the dragoness turned to face him.

"What's your name little one?" She slowly walked towards him, causing the mass of cooks behind him to stumble backwards.

"Ma.. Maryn your majesty." This just wasn't fair, it was just his third week in the palace. Nobody had warned him that the empress might occasionally barge into the kitchen, scare him to death and question him about the food; this was not how it was supposed to work.

"Well Mamaryn, a raven just arrived with a message. The king of Kerennya is not sending us his ambassador; he is coming himself and I want the food to be perfect. We don't want to offer him something that looks like Kerennian soup, we want to offer him the real thing." She sighed as she sat down in front of the cooks, causing them to stumble further back until one of them slipped on the floor, which caused a domino effect. Ki'Jala watched as they fell over each other and turned into a furiously arguing mass.

"I'm p.. pretty sure it is the real thing your majesty." He gulped. The damn soup wasn't even his responsibility. No, that was the cake that was just.. burning.. in the oven behind the dragoness.

The dragoness groaned in frustration. "I can't believe it! You're supposed to be professionals and now that I come to check if everything is alright, I find myself confronted with some sort of culinary chaos." Some of the cooks tried to get up, only to be pushed down again as their colleagues tried to do the same thing, which led to a rapidly growing brawl among them.

The kitchen door opened and Kirinia stepped inside. "Milady, I was trying to find you and then I heard the commotion in here and.." Her jaw dropped as she watched the furious battle in front of her. Some of the cooks were using the good opportunity to settle their professional differences nonverbally.. "I.. but how.." She turned her head to the empress as a whisk sailed past her head.

"Stop fighting already you fools!" Ki'Jala shouted at them, but nobody seemed to listen to her.

"That's for putting all that salt into my salad you damn moron!" The first cook shouted at a dishwasher as he threw a wooden bowl at him, but the dog just ducked and laughed as the bowl hit somebody else.

Kirinia walked up to the empress. "Milady.. um.. maybe we should leave now. The first guests are arriving and I'm afraid your presence here is making everybody.. nervous." A heavy ladle bounced off of her armor.

"Well somebody has to make sure that everything is ready for the banquet.. but I guess you're right. They're fighting like hatchlings.." She got up and turned around. "Maybe they've been drinking before I came in, I mean that would surely explain all that aggressive behavior.. You should tell one of the guards to check up on that later."

Kirinia sighed as they left the kitchen. "As you wish milady."

The young otter waited until the dragonesses had left, before he rushed through the kitchen and slammed the door shut. He turned around and watched his fighting colleagues for some time, before he walked over to the oven and retrieved the pitiful remnants of his cake. Well.. if he scratched the burnt parts off.. maybe it could still be eaten.. by a starving mouse perhaps..

The first cook, a huge bear, came towards him. He was pressing a raw steak to his swollen left eye. "Damn that dog has a mean punch.." He laughed loudly as he wiped his hand on his apron. "Poor boy won't be able to fuck his bitch for a couple of days though! I haven't had this much fun in weeks! The empress should really come visit us more often, don't you think?"

Maryn looked at the smoldering mass in front of him. Maybe he should look for a job on a ship.. preferably one, that sailed to the other end of the world.

* * *

The emperor's sigil sparkled in the sunlight as Serath stepped out of the main hall and joined up with Kirinia and his sister. The weather was nice and warm; truly a perfect day to celebrate. He let his eyes wander over the decorations. The servants had done an impressive job with all those banners and flowers. A group of three shadow dragonesses came towards them, stopping as the one in the middle bowed before him.

"My emperor, it is a great honor to stand before your glorious countenance."

Serath groaned silently. "Please rise and be welcome as our honored guest." Ki'Jala nodded and gave him an approving smile. He watched as the dragoness in front of him got up. The other two looked like imperial guards, except for the crest on their armor. A roaring black dragon next to a broken tower. The crest of Silhall was an open threat to everybody who saw it and a display of power and strength. The ambassador was different from the other two though.. He noticed a couple of dark blue scales, that were spread over her otherwise black body in a pattern which reminded him of the stripes of a tiger.

Ki'Jala looked at the ambassador. "Welcome to Iskar. I don't think we've met before.. What's your name?" Serath noticed a hint of confusion in the voice of his sister.

"My name is Vakila your majesty. The ambassador you know is my mother; she is.. sick and unable to travel so she sent me to take her place." The young dragoness bowed before Ki'Jala.

"Please give your mother my regards when you see her again." The empress smiled as Kirinia stepped forward.

"One of my guards will escort you to your chambers."

Serath watched as the group left and headed towards the guest quarters.

"That's strange.. did you notice something about the ambassador?" Ki'Jala looked at her brother.

"Well.. there are some blue stripes on her body, actually it looked quite pretty." He looked after the dragonesses.

The empress sat down. "I guess her father was a coast dragon.. She's a half breed and I know how much Kaz'Enra hates them.. It makes absolutely no sense."

Serath sighed as he sat down next to her. "Why do you think did the queen send her here?"

Ki'Jala shrugged. "Could be a trap of some sort, or maybe she wanted to get rid of her, I mean the mountain passes can be quite dangerous.." She leaned against her brother. "Maybe she doesn't even know that she came instead of her mother.. I mean sending a half breed to a banquet.. it would make her look weak." Ki'Jala turned her head and gave her brother a tender kiss. "I'm glad you're here with, me you know?"

Serath smiled as he gently placed a paw under her muzzle, pulling her lips closer to his own. "I know, and I'm glad to be here as well. I mean.. without you I'd still be alone, and I'd never have met Sirion."

She giggled as she felt his warm breath brushing over her muzzle. "I know you love him. I mean the whole palace knows that by now. I just hope you'll still be able to spend some of your time with me."

"Ki'Ja.. I love you. Just come see me whenever you want to spend time with me. Sirion and I have talked about that already, he knows he'll have to share me eventually." He slowly tilted her head and Ki'Jala opened her muzzle for him as he drew her into a deep kiss.

The dragoness moaned softly as his tongue slipped into her maw and intertwined with her own. She pressed her body against his chest while her nethers started to react to the teasing sensation in her muzzle, when the sound of wings snapped her out of her trance and she broke the kiss, turning her head towards the origin of the sound.

"Oh, please don't stop on my behalf. It's important to guarantee the survival of your line after all." A fire dragon dropped to the ground in front of them, stretching his wings out before he folded them against his back.

Ki'Jala groaned as she got up and the base of her tail brushed against her wet eager slit. "Tarras.. It's nice to see you, how long have you been watching us?"

The red dragon chuckled. "Oh just a couple of minutes. Don't worry, that was nothing I hadn't seen before, although my people like it a bit more.. rough." He bowed before them. "It's a pleasure to finally meet the emperor himself. You made a good choice Ki'Ja, a strong mate for a strong dragoness like yourself."

Serath looked at him. Three long scars ran down the right side of his red scaled muzzle, most likely caused by the claws of another dragon. Fire dragons.. he had read about them.. They spent most of their lives fighting each other. They fought for practice, over their females, over their males, food, water.. well, they fought about practically everything. "Welcome.. Are you a warrior?"

"A warrior?" Tarras burst into laughter. "All sons of fire are warriors, but I happen to be an ambassador too." He grinned as he pointed at the scars on his muzzle. "I got those when I fought my predecessor for his title and as you can see I won."

Serath gave him an uneasy smile. "Well.. I'd have Kirinia escort you to the guest quarters, but I'm afraid she hasn't returned yet.." He looked around, but the captain was nowhere to be seen.

"Hmm.. we could fight while we wait. There's nothing better to help you relax after a long journey, and afterwards.. we could "rest" in your chamber. Winner gets to be on top?" The red dragon gave him a toothy grin.

"I.. um.. what?" Serath looked at him in confusion.

"Oh.. you already have a mate? Well, If you're the prize.. I'd gladly fight him over you." The fire dragon came closer and deeply inhaled his scent. "Just think about all the fun we will have together.."

The black dragon stared at him in disbelief. "Prize? Me? I.. already have a mate. I don't know if he'd be willing to share me, but.."

"Ah, sharing.. I almost forgot that some things are different around here." Tarras grinned as he brought his muzzle closer to that of Serath. "So.. how about this; you're coming with me and maybe I'll share you with your mate in a couple of days hm?"

Serath gulped. "I.."

"Tarras, he's your emperor. If you want to mate with him you'll have to ask nicely." Ki'Jala grinned as she watched the two males.

The red dragon sighed theatrically. "Asking for something is such a waste of time. I was just going to have some fun with him." Shrugging he placed a paw under Serath's muzzle. "So.. we both know you won't say no to me, so I won't ask you if you want to mate with me.. I'll just ask you; when do you want it to happen?" His breath felt hot against the black dragon's scales.

"I.. Sorry.. but I'd rather ask my mate about that first." Serath lifted his head off the red dragon's paw.

"Interesting.. I'll take that as a yes then." His tongue glid slowly over his red scaled lips.

"I.. can't.. I mean.." The black dragon nervously scratched at the ground.

"Oh don't worry, I'll just ask your mate as nicely as possible and then we'll see what happens next." He grinned as he rubbed his snout against Serath's neck before he turned around to leave.

"Wait! I mean.. there's nobody to take you to your chambers.." Serath smiled uneasily as Tarras turned his head in his direction.

"Hmm.. Are you offering to help me find my bed? I'd appreciate that very much.." He gave the black dragon a lecherous grin. "Don't worry your cute tail off, I've been here before. See you tonight Serath.."

Ki'Jala giggled as she noticed her brother staring at the red dragon's rump. "He's pretty impressive, isn't he?"

Serath looked at her. "Pretty straightforward I'd say.."

"You like him, hmm?" His sister rubbed her tail against his flank. "I could practically smell it, and so could he I guess. You know he wasn't just teasing you, right? He's going to ask your mate to share you with him."

"I know.." He sighed deeply. Tarras had something about him.. "I don't know if I really want that, I mean.."

"Serath.. Sirion wanted to be your mate, and he knew he would have to share you with pretty much every shadow dragoness in your empire. Do you really think a single red scaled male would make a difference to him?" Ki'Jala softly nudged his neck with her snout. "He loves you."

"I know.. I love him too and I'd never do anything if it made him sad.." He hung his head. "Maybe I should have just said no.."

"Don't be too hard on yourself, it's really not that bad. Just ask your mate what he thinks about it and if he isn't comfortable with it, you can still say no. You're the emperor, remember?" Ki'Jala gently stroked his shoulder. "And now focus, I guess our next guests will arrive soon."

Tirran stared at the palace walls in the distance. He was feeling better now, thanks to a nice dose of sleep. "That thing is huge! I had imagined it to be big, but this.."

"Well the palace was built for dragons, so it has to be big, otherwise their heads would be bumping against the ceiling all the time." Silena grinned as she rode up to him. "I thought you had a preference for huge things."

"Oh I do, but it doesn't concern buildings.." The fox smirked as he spurred his horse and rode to the front of the column. "Hey Kerras, how long will it take us to reach the palace?"

The black wolf growled silently. "Well.. at our current speed about two hours, but maybe Corporal Tares would be willing to carry some more bags to help us out." He looked over his shoulder at the gray wolf, who tried to hide the second backpack he was carrying.

"Don't be too hard on him Kerras, he's just a bit confused." Tirran giggled as they rode past another grainfield.

Kerras looked at him knowingly. "And you think you can set him straight again?"

"Hmm.. he is kind of handsome.. Maybe I could.. Although you probably couldn't call him straight anymore afterwards, if you know what I mean." Tirran grinned as his view shifted to the palace again.

"Well don't get your hopes up, Tares is as straight as an arrow when it comes to choosing partners." The black wolf swatted a fly that had landed on the neck of his horse.

"You have no idea how often I've heard that phrase from the very same guys who woke up next to me the morning after.." The fox sighed as he thought about it. The weather was perfect for riding and yet.. he couldn't help but feel sad as they made their way towards the palace.

"Is something bothering you Tirran?"

He winced as Kerras's voice tore him from his thoughts. "No.. I.. Why do you ask?"

The black wolf chuckled. "Because you're right here, talking to me and not at the back, trying to pick a fight with Silena."

"I.. I've been feeling a bit.. lonely lately and being here, riding with Logan.. it makes things worse." He looked up as the sun disappeared behind a small cloud.

"Tirran, you should really stop living in the past. We're going to a banquet, which means that it's going to be a big party for lords like you. Just go and find yourself a mate." He gave the fox a pat on the back. "That shouldn't be too hard for a good looking young fox like yourself."

Tirran smirked. "Thank you Kerras. I really needed someone to cheer me up."

"Well that's what friends are for right?" He turned his head and gasped. "Corporal Tares! Where did that second spear come from, and don't try to tell me you found it along the way! I swear to the gods, you'll be wearing her clothes next if you don't give her that spear back!"

The fox snickered as he stopped his horse and waited for Silena to catch up to him.

"Ah.. I guess mister high and mighty finally got tired of our dear general Talan and decided to return to the beautiful female he keeps ogling all the time."

"That's a lot of wishful thinking there Silena, when was the last time someone called you beautiful?" He grinned as the doberman took the bait.

"About two weeks ago actually. We stayed at one of the taverns in Bremont.. Could have been the bottomless barrel.." The doberman scratched her head thoughtfully.

"Ah.. it was that young bitch you spent the night with.. you know.. the husky girl, who payed for your drinks and kept giggling all the time."

"That was an accident! I was.. drunk and thought she was a male." Silena averted her gaze as the fox started to laugh.

"Male? Her tits were as big as my head! Why can't you just be honest with yourself? So, you prefer females, what's the big deal?" The doberman gave him an angry look.

"Tirran I've told you a million times; I am not a lesbian! I like males just as much as you do."

"Oh.. and how many males have you been with?" He grinned widely.

"You know that full well.. I just haven't found the right one yet."

"Maybe because you're looking for a partner on the wrong side of the field.."

Kerras turned his head and smirked as he saw them arguing again. A welcome diversion from all those fields and.. "Corporal Tares, you've got to be kidding me!"

King Logan the second rubbed his head. All that noise was beginning to give him a terrible headache. He looked at the palace in the distance. Well, at least they would arrive on time.

* * *

The shadows on the courtyard in front of the main hall were getting longer and longer. Serath yawned as he sat in front of the building. He had spent the entire afternoon there, welcoming guests and sending them off to their rooms. It had become boring soon after that red dragon left. "Ki'Ja, how long do we have to sit here?" He looked at the dragoness at his side.

"We just have to wait for the king of Kerennya, and I hope he'll be here soon." Ki'Jala looked at the sun. It was about to set, which meant they had about two hours left before the banquet. She turned her head as she heard the clapping sound of hoofs coming closer.

Silena groaned as her horse trotted towards the two dragons sitting in front of the large building. Softly stroking the animal's neck, she brought it to a halt and dismounted. From this close, the palace looked even bigger.. as did the dragons.. She cleared her throat as she dropped to a knee, her armor scraping against the floor with a scratching sound. "Your majesty, king Logan begs your pardon for the delay. He also wants to ask for your permission to let his troops set up a camp by the palace walls." The doberman gulped nervously. They had drawn straws to decide who would get to have the questionable honor of delivering the message to the emperor, and she had lost. She didn't know exactly why, but she had the feeling that Tirran had tricked her somehow..

"Well, why don't we just go and deliver our answer personally. It's been a long day and I've been sitting around here long enough." Serath groaned as he got up and noticed that his tail had gone dead, giving him a tingling sensation in his rump.

Ki'Jala nodded happily. "That's a great idea. Are you coming with us..?"

The doberman noticed the unspoken question. "Silena Bergaren, your majesty."

"Well, Silena are you coming with us or do you want to keep kneeling there instead?" She walked up to the obviously nervous bitch and gave her a smile.

"I uh.." Silena got up and grabbed the reins of her horse, which seemed not to care too much about the dragons around. While she followed the dragons back to the others, her eyes wandered all over the place. She marveled at the majestic stone structures and the beautiful gardens. A couple of guards walked past them. She had never seen dragons wearing armor before; it made them look fearsome.. and beautiful at the same time. She kept looking at them until the disappeared behind a corner.

A couple of minutes later, they approached the kings escort. Serath looked at the soldiers in front of them. Most of them were wolves, but he could also see a couple of dogs and even a fox among them. They seemed to be pretty exhausted after the long march, their weapons and backpacks were scattered all over the grass. Some of the soldiers were leaning against the palace wall while a black wolf shouted at them. "Which one is the king?" He gave his sister a questioning look.

Ki'Jala grinned as she walked towards the canines."It's good to see you Logan, I hope the journey here wasn't too stressful."

The king laughed loudly. "It's always a pleasure to see your beautiful face Ki'Jala. How long has it been since my last visit?"

"Too long if you ask me." The empress smiled as she raised a paw and the wolf bent forward to kiss it.

"And you must be our new emperor." Logan looked at Serath.

There was something about that lone green eye of his.. It seemed to look right through him.. "It's a pleasure to meet you king Logan."

"The pleasure is all mine." The gray wolf bowed his head briefly. "If you don't mind, my soldiers will make camp here, while the queen and I reside in the guest quarters with the rest of my commanders; general Talan, general Bergaren and lord Valryn.

"Lord Valryn?" Serath looked at the wolf in confusion.

"He doesn't like to be called general." The king turned around and pointed at the fox, who seemed to be busy brushing his tail. "Since you already know Silena; general Talan is the cheerful fellow over there." He gave a short nod in the direction of the furiously barking black wolf.

"I see.." Serath looked at the scene once more. "Your soldiers are free to make camp here, I'll make sure to send them some food and wine later."

"Very generous of you. Now, if you don't mind, I'll have a short talk with my commanders. We'll meet again shortly I suppose." The wolf bowed again and turned to leave.

Serath sighed as he turned around and started to walk back to the main hall, followed by his sister. He really needed a break now.

* * *

Sirion grinned happily as he watched himself in the mirror. He was wearing his tiara again and his body was dressed in a delicate golden fabric, that softly flowed over its features. His tail was covered with thin gold chains, that were tenderly draped around the flexible appendage in an interesting pattern. The whole day had been absolutely wonderful so far. He had taken a long bath, while several female servants brushed his body, before they dried him up and polished his scales. The whole process had given him a massive erection, but thanks to the orb nobody but himself knew about it. Serath really deserved a very special reward for that. He could feel his cock throbbing softly as he thought about him. If it wasn't for the sphere in his sheath, it would have torn his dress in two already. Sirion giggled at the thought. "Thank you for helping me out Naissa."

The raptor shrugged as she watched the dragon in the mirror. "Don't mention it. The other possibility was to sit on my rump and wait for the guests all day long." She gently stroked over his gold clad shoulder. "You look pretty."

The green dragon turned around to look at his rump. "I really like what you did with those chains.. maybe I should wear them more often, don't you think?" He smiled happily as the golden chains on his tail sparkled in the light.

"Why not, you're a pretty girl after all." She smirked as the dragon blushed softly.

"I know.. I mean.. I'm pretty much playing the female part in our relationship anyway.. and I'm fine with that." Sirion turned slightly to admire the side of his dress. "I can see that Serath loves me, you know.. that sparkle in his eyes just before he kisses me.."

Naissa sighed softly. "It's good to know you're happy Sirion. I'm always glad to see my friends happy."

"So.. now that we're friends, does that mean you'll stop teasing me?" The green dragon grinned as she stroked the underside of his neck.

"On the contrary, I tend to tease my friends even more.." The raptor planted a soft kiss on his muzzle. "Too bad you have to wear that orb.. teasing you is no fun, if I can't see the results of my efforts.." She gave him a lecherous grin.

"Oh.. but maybe I'll invite you over tonight, so we can take it out together.." Naissa gasped as he gave her muzzle a teasing lick that made her shiver.

"Aah.. are you.. did you just tease me?" Naissa moaned softly as her wet slit rubbed against her underwear.

Sirion giggled happily as he gently nudged her muzzle with his snout. "I.. learned from the best."

The raptor slowly shook her head as she picked up a small flask and poured its contents onto his neck, gently rubbing it in with her free hand. "Sirion.. I'd really like to.. um.. join you two the next time you.. mate. I mean.. it can be quite.. frustrating if you have to sleep all alone while everyone else is having fun."

"Hmm.." Sirion looked at the ground as the raptoress continued to rub his neck. "Well.. you're my friend.. and I know you wouldn't just try to take Serath away from me.." As he raised his head again, he gave her a soft smile. "I don't want you to feel left out or lonely, so.. I'll still have to talk to Serath about it, but I guess it'll be alright."

The raptor beamed with joy. "Sirion get your muzzle down here, I just have to kiss you for that." She grabbed his horns, causing the green dragon to giggle and lower his head for her.

Sirion could feel her scaly lips softly pressing against his snout, as her hands stroked the sides of his muzzle.

"Thank you. I was a bit worried you'd say no." Naissa looked deep into his eyes.

The green dragon blushed slightly. "Well.. I've already let you watch us, so.." He gasped as the raptor hugged him, eagerly wrapping her arms around his neck.

"You're the best sweetie."

"I.. um.." For a moment he just stood there, before he placed a paw on her back and softly hugged her to his chest. "Maybe we should get going.."

The raptor looked up at him as she remembered why she had dressed him up in the first place. "Oh damn.. I almost forgot about the banquet." She let go of his neck and turned around. It was pretty late already, but maybe they could still make it, if they hurried. Naissa looked at the green dragon. No.. the dress made running impossible. She sighed. "Okay sweetie listen.. we're going to be late, but nobody is going to notice."

Sirion stared at her in confusion. "But.. how?"

Naissa grinned. "Oh don't worry, everybody is going to think we're doing it on purpose anyway."

* * *

The banquet hall was one of those rooms of the palace, that was quite rarely used. The reason for this was simple; a banquet was a pretty special occasion that needed to be carefully planned and prepared, or in other words; it was simply a whole lot of effort.

The hall itself was enormous and decorated with the most expensive carpets and tapestries in the whole palace. Right in the center of the room was a huge table made of black oak; several important scenes from different eras of the imperial history were carved into the polished wood.

All the guests had already taken their places around the table; the dragons were sitting on gold stitched cushions, while the servants had brought chairs for their two-legged guests.

Silena carefully picked up a silver fork and held it before her muzzle. So much wealth.. She had grown up in a house with only one room that would have easily fit into the hall more than four times, and even the royal castle in walgrundt was nothing more than a cheap hut compared to this.. She looked at the carving in front of her. "What's yours showing Tirran?"

"The founding of the empire I guess." The fox was holding his plate up, examining how it sparkled in the light. Even the dishes were made of silver.. "And yours?"

The doberman looked more closely. "A dragon killing somebody.. I can't make out who it's supposed to be."

"Hmm.." He set his plate back on the table. "I wonder what kind of food they serve here." Tirran turned his head. The Kerennian delegation was seated on the left side of the table; the king was sitting right next to the emperor, which was of course a great honor. His eyes focused on the black dragon at the head of the table. He was pretty handsome for a dragon..

Silena looked at the fox and turned her head to find out what he was looking at. She grinned widely. "I see you have developed a fine taste in males lately.. got your eyes on the emperor himself hmm?"

Tirran gasped as her voice tore him from his thoughts. "So what? Maybe he'd like some diversion in his bed."

"And you think a fox would be the diversion he'd want instead of let's say.. another dragon?" She leaned back in her chair and chuckled softly.

"Everyone would want a fox in their bed, we're exotic." Tirran stared back at her. She was obviously bored and looking for something to cheer her up.

"And since when are foxes exotic? I mean a panther, that would be exotic, but a fox? Come on." She laughed heartily as she leaned forward and grabbed her chalice.

"A panther is nothing but a big cat, if you found one of them in your bedroom you'd just start barking and chase him around the room."

Ki'Jala watched them from the other end of the table. It had all worked out nicely up to this point, she just hoped that the food wouldn't disappoint. She looked at the ambassador from Silhall, who was seated next to her. "It is quite unusual for Kaz'Enra to choose a half-breed as her ambassador, you know?"

Vakila groaned silently. "She.. doesn't know I'm here. My mother sent me, because.." She softly rubbed her belly as a shiver ran through her body.

The empress gasped as she realized what was going on. "You're close to laying, aren't you? Why did you come here? I mean it's quite a risk to travel such a distance in your condition.."

"The queen hates half-breeds like me, if she found out that I'm bearing eggs.." She whimpered softly. "She'd wait for me to lay and then force me to watch as she breaks them."

Ki'Jala looked around, but the other guests hadn't taken notice of the conversation. "Listen, you'll go back to your room now and I'll send somebody to help you. I can't do it myself, because the others would notice. Do you understand?" The dragoness nodded slowly. "Your eggs will be safe here, but you mustn't tell anybody about it. If somebody asks me why you had to leave, I'll tell them that you were exhausted because of your long journey."

Vakila got up, her legs trembling slightly. "Thank you your majesty." She turned around and left the room, leaving the seat next to the empress empty.

Ki'Jala took a sip from her bowl, letting the sweet wine run down her throat. This was a bad situation; it meant trouble for her, but what else could she have done? She sighed as her view shifted to her brother.

Serath looked around the room, but his mate was nowhere to be seen. He sighed as he shifted his plate around on the table. Thanks to the seating plan, he was sitting on one end of the table, with Logan of Kerennya and Sirion at his sides, but next to the still empty seat of his mate was..

"I'll gladly take his place if he doesn't show up Serath. I wouldn't dare to let such a fine piece of treasure go to waste." Tarras smiled at him seductively, causing the black dragon to groan.

"Okay listen, you caught me a bit off guard earlier, I mean.."

"I know, I know; you already have a mate." The red dragon shrugged. "I don't have a problem with that. I'm going to ask him to share you, you're going to get laid, everybody will be happy." He gave the black dragon a toothy grin. There was more than just one way to fight for something, and if the simple approach didn't work, well..

Serath groaned silently. He was definitely not going to risk losing his mate. "Look, I'm not sure about this.. I was a bit confused when you appeared out of nowhere and started flirting with me.. I don't even know if I really want you to ask him."

Tarras took a sip from his bowl. This was going to be a challenge and he loved challenges. He grinned as the wine coated his tongue. "Maybe you're not sure, but your body knows what it wants.. I can smell that."

Serath turned his head to see if Sirion had arrived, but he was still nowhere to be seen. He just wanted his mate by his side right now, and he wanted that embarrassing conversation to end. The red dragon was beginning to make him feel a bit uncomfortable. That strong muscular body, that keen grin on his muzzle.. the way he was licking his lips right now to tease him.. He lowered his muzzle and took a big gulp of wine. It was tempting, but he was going to resist. He couldn't stand the idea of making Sirion sad.

King Logan was watching him as if he was about to ask something. Great.. hopefully not another candidate who wanted to become his mate.. He turned his head, ignoring the red scaled tail that softly stroked over his rump. "Is there something on your mind Lo.."

The doors opened as Sirion finally entered the room. Serath's jaw dropped as he saw his mate in his dress for the first time. The hall fell silent as everybody turned their attention to the green dragon in front of the door. Sirion blushed slightly, he wasn't used to this much attention. He slowly crossed the room and sat down next to his mate. "I'm sorry you had to wait for me for so long honeyscale." He gave the black dragon a soft smile.

"You're.. the most beautiful dragon I've ever seen, my love." Serath planted a gentle kiss on his lover's muzzle, making him giggle.

"I'm glad to see that you like my dress." Sirion tenderly rubbed his snout against the neck of his mate, shivering slightly as the tiara tickled him.

"It looks great on your body sugartail." The black dragon smiled as he pulled him into a deep kiss.

Tarras grunted in displeasure as the happily reunited couple started to make out right next to him. He had been so close and yet.. Well, has was going to ask that emerald dragon anyway.

Tirran stared at the green dragon that was just kissing the emperor. A dragon wearing a dress? Now he had truly seen everything. The big doors opened as the servants carried the food into the hall. He watched as the table in front him filled up until the thick wood groaned under the weight. All that food.. there were various fruits and vegetables all kinds of meat and fish.. he stared at the roasted krelai in the middle of the table.

"Hey Tirran, you should close your mouth when you're eating, otherwise everything will just fall out again. Didn't your mother teach you that?" Silena chuckled as she took a hearty bite of the big turkey leg she was holding, and washed it down her throat with a big gulp of wine.

The fox groaned softly as he started to pile some fish and vegetables onto his plate. "I always thought dragons didn't wear clothes."

"Well.. I guess you were wrong, because that one is wearing a dress." She grinned as she grabbed some vegetables. "These dragons really know, how to properly feed a dog hm?"

"I don't know.. but it seems as if clothes make dragons even more.. attractive." Tirran looked at their king. Logan surely seemed worried about something.. He dug his fork into the fish on his plate and brought it back to his maw. It was actually quite.. delicious.

The dragons and their guests were enjoying the food greatly. Even the empress was relieved when she noticed that the Kerennians seemed to like the soup. She made a mental note to visit the kitchen later in order to commend the cooks for their good work. One by one the guests finished their meals and started to chat with their neighbors, as Logan got up and raised his chalice.

"Dear friends.. and adversaries." Joyful laughter spread along the table as he looked at the equine ambassador, a handsome black mare with a white spot between her eyes. "I am happy to be here today at the table of our Iskarian allies. Today we celebrate the coronation of our new emperor. We came here as strangers, but when we leave this palace again, we will part as brothers." He raised his hand and Kerras held a small chest into the air, before he gently set it onto the table. "This is my gift to the emperor." He opened the lid. "It is a fang of the twin wolves; the sons of Wolgar who founded our kingdom. It is a symbol of trust and brotherhood." He turned around and walked up to the emperor. "Wherever you may go, Kerennya will follow. Whenever you call, Kerennya will answer. Whomsoever you face, we will be at your side. You are a brother to wolves." The king laid a hand on Serath's shoulder as the other guests started to applaud. "And now let us drink to the emperor; long may he reign!"

The guests raised their drinks. "To the emperor!"

Sirion looked at his mate with a grin. "To you my love." He gave him a short kiss, before he raised his bowl and drank like the others.

Serath got up and looked around as the hall fell silent. "Before we continue, dear guests. I'm sure you have heard about my concubine by now, and I know that some of you would demand that I punish him." He looked at the green dragon next to him. "The dragon by my side is not a criminal; he is the sweetest, most wonderful dragon I've ever met.. I've chosen him as my mate just like he has chosen me as his. Our lives are united by the love of our mother, and nothing on this planet can ever break that bond. Tonight I present to you not only a concubine, but the mate of your emperor.." He turned to his lover. "and the one dragon I truly love.. Sirion."

The green dragon blushed brightly as Serath drew him into a deep kiss while the guests started to applaud again.

When their lips parted, the black dragon laughed happily and the musicians started to play. "Today is a special day, so let us celebrate together. Bring dragon ale for our honored guests."

Everybody in the room cheered loudly at his announcement. Dragon ale was the finest and most expensive brew in the empire. The production required a big amount of dragon rye, which could only be grown on the fields of Iskar.

Two hours later, Silena looked into her chalice and noticed that she could see the bottom again. Why was it always empty when she wanted to drink? She poured more of that delicious ale into it and took a big gulp. "Do you think.. they will let ush keep one of thoshe barrelsh Tirran?" She grinned at him happily.

Tirran looked at her with a grin. "Why not? They seem to have plenty of em."

The doberman chuckled. "Right! You're not so bad you know? For a foxsh I mean.. my mother alwaysh warned me about foxshesh.. "They're mean Shilena don't trusht them.." I wish she could see me now, sitting here and drinking with my good friend Tirran the foxsh." She took another gulp from her chalice. "I wonder what it feelsh like.."

"What what feels like?" He smiled knowingly.

"That tail of yoursh.. it looksh so nice and soft." She looked down at his tail, as it gently swished along his chair.

"Oh it is.. too bad I'm not into females, otherwise you might get to worship it in your bed tonight." He giggled softly as the doberman groaned.

"Thatsh not fair Tirran. You mushtn't tease me like that." She slowly turned her chalice in her hand.

"I'm sorry girl, I know you'll find a partner soon." He softly patted her back as a soldier walked up behind them and cleared his throat.

"General Bergaren, I'm sorry, but the men are causing trouble in the gardens and general Talan is sleeping already and I couldn't wake him up and..."

"Trouble you say? My men?" She stood up and immediately fell down onto her chair again.

"Um.. Silena.. maybe I should go." Tirran gave her a worried look.

"No no, I'll do that." She shook her head and got up again, as the soldier supported her. "Sergeant Farrn.. You look handshome tonight.. why don't you come to my room later?"

Tirran choked on the wine he was drinking. Was she seriously flirting with Tresk Farrn? He looked up. Sergeant Farrn was a dog. Well.. his father was a dog and since nobody had ever seen his mother, except for the severely drunken mister Farrn, who had entered the brothel she was working in several weeks before the birth of their son, nobody could really tell what else he was..

The sergeant groaned in discomfort. "I'm sorry sir, but I already have plans for the night."

"Well.. too bad. Letsh go and shee whats going on then."

Tirran watched as they left. Poor Silena.. getting turned down by Tresk Farrn? That was pretty tough..

* * *

Silena deeply inhaled the cool night air as they stumbled over the palace grounds. Thankfully the courtyards and paths were well lit by torches, and the cold made her head clear up slightly. She groaned when she heard the singing. There was only one wolf who sang like that and she would have recognized his voice, even if he had been accompanied by a whole choir of drunken idiots. They entered the gardens and all of her dizziness disappeared as she stared at the scene in front of her. Corporal Tares was sitting on a big statue of the first emperor as if he was trying to ride it, and to top it off he was singing the regimental song of the hounds of Bremont, while a couple of fire dragons watched him..

The corporal was feeling great. The finest bitch he knew was sitting in his lap and the black dragons had brought them a barrel of dragon ale. He was literally on top of the world right now as his voice echoes through the gardens. "So brother, raise that tankard high when our banners proudly fly! Howl our glory to the sky! Howl with the hounds of Bremont!" He was a bit surprised when he noticed that he was the only one howling at the end..

"Corporal Tares! Get your sorry excuse of a tail off of that emperor!" She groaned as the corporal turned pale. How could he sing a song, that was all about the only defeat the fire dragons had ever had to suffer, right in front of them. She turned her head, but the red dragons were leaving already. She sighed in relief.

The gray wolf slowly climbed down from the statue, followed by private Kenra. Silena growled silently. "Corporal, you were supposed to celebrate, not to start a war in the damn gardens. Did you even see those dragons? They could have torn you to shreds if they had wanted to." The corporal drooped his ears and whimpered lowly. "You're going to clean this place up now before you return to camp, understood?" The wolf nodded and walked back to the others.

As Kenra turned around to follow him, Silena grabbed the young husky's arm. "You've had enough trouble for a day. I'm taking you back to your tent." The girl nodded slowly and followed her.

Silena looked at her as they left the rest of the group behind them. "You shouldn't be with Tares all the time. He has a bad influence on you."

The husky sighed softly. "But I.. like him. He is always kind to me, he makes me laugh.. it feels good to be close to him." She smiled as the doberman wrapped her arm around her shoulders.

"You can do better than that.. you deserve someone.. better. Someone who treats you right." She felt the young female shiver in the cold and took off her cloak, gently wrapping it around her body.

"Thank you.. you're kind." The husky looked at Silena and her eyes reflected the moonlight.

The doberman blushed. "I.. uh.." She gulped as she tried to focus again. "You really shouldn't be with someone like him, trust me." The silhouette of the Kerennian camp appeared out of the darkness in front of them. Kenra turned around and looked at her, seemingly thinking about something.

"Thank you for escorting me back here.. I know you wouldn't have had to do this for me." She began to take the warm cloak off again as Silena laid a hand on her shoulder.

"Keep it. It's a gift."

"I.." Kenra looked at her before she stepped forward and drew the doberman into a hug. "Thank you."

Silena smiled softly as the husky broke the hug again.

"Good night sir."

"Please.. call me Silena." She looked at the young female, as the moon bathed her fur into silvery light.

"Good night.. Silena." Kenra smiled at her once more, before she turned around and entered her tent.

The doberman grinned widely. An already good evening had just become even better. She turned around and looked at the buildings. "Damn.. now where are the guest quarters supposed to be again.."

"Maybe I could help you out a bit."

Silena stared into the darkness and noticed a female raptor walking towards her. "Oh.. that would be nice. I'm a bit lost here.."

"I see.. you also seem to be a bit tipsy.. have you enjoyed the drinks at the banquet?"

"Very much." Silena gave her a toothy grin.

"I happen to have a nice variety of drinks too.. would you be interested in trying them?"

"Sounds good to me." The doberman licked her lips as she walked towards the raptor.

"Just follow me then, I'll make sure you have a pleasant night." Naissa giggled as they walked back to the palace. This was going to be fun.

It was starting to get late and most of the ambassadors had already left. Serath looked at the softly snoring fire dragon next to him, before he turned to the king. "I didn't know you have hippos serving in your army."

"Hippos?" Logan looked at him in confusion.

"The sergeant who came in here some time ago." Serath took a swig of wine as the king thought about it.

"Ah.. you mean sergeant Farrn. He's not a hippo, he's a dog. Well.. at least his father is a dog, we're still not sure what exactly his mother was.."

"There seems to be something else on your mind." The black dragon gave him a questioning look.

Logan sighed and turned to face him. "I need to talk to you about something."

Serath thoughtfully sipped at his wine and nodded.

"I am preparing my army to march eastwards. Some of our colonies in the wilderness haven't reported back to the capital for some time now and many of our merchants have disappeared after they led their trade caravans there. Something is going on out there.." The king took a big swig of dragon ale. "I sent my scouts there and they reported that everybody was gone. No blood, no signs of a fight, they had just disappeared.." He put his chalice back onto the table. "The cats have nothing to do with it this time; this is not how they fight and they would have taken everything valuable with them, not just the people."

"And what do you want me to do?" Serath looked at him.

The wolf sighed deeply. "I don't want to go there unprepared, so I'll have to bring mages. The problem is; I need tulain."

"I see.." The black dragon scratched his neck. This was indeed a grim situation. "Tulain is not easy to gather and it's pretty rare.. How much do you need?"

"At least a barrel."

"A whole barrel? Our own reserve only contains about seven." He looked into the wolf's eye.

"We can pay you with black oak and.." He took of his bracer. "This."

Serath curiously looked at the object the king had laid onto the table. "Leather?"

"Not just any leather; hardened manticore leather. Wear a vest of it and you're pretty much invincible. Just try your claws at it." The king grinned as the dragon tried to pierce the hard fabric.

"Interesting.." Serath looked at his claws and then at the bracer. "Not a scratch.."

"My offer; I will give you three wagonloads of black oak and two bales of manticore leather for a barrel of tulain." Logan waited for his response.

"A fair trade.. I accept your offer." Serath smiled as he raised his bowl. "Here's to you Logan. May your campaign be successful."

The gray wolf grinned as he raised his chalice. "To brothers and regents."

They drank together before Logan got up. "Well.. I better go and get some rest now. I suppose I'll see you in the morning."

Serath smiled at him. "Good night friend." He watched as the wolf left the room and Sirion returned.

"I have to say, the bathrooms in here are extremely comfortable. I mean.. you don't think about it too much, but still.." Sirion blushed slightly.

"It's quite beneficial to have an underground river under your palace that does all the cleaning for you." Serath smiled as the green dragon started to giggle.

"Well it sure is better than digging holes all the time." He snuggled up to his mate. "Why exactly is that fire dragon sleeping on the table? I mean.. he does have a bed right?"

Serath looked at Tarras, who seemed to be sleeping peacefully. "Well.. he must have drunken too much ale."

"I thought he wanted to ask me something.. I mean.. he kept looking at us all the time as if he was about to say something and yet he didn't.." Sirion looked at the red dragon. "I wonder what it was.."

"Well.. I wonder why the ambassador from Silhall left so early.." Serath tried to change the topic. He was glad that he had managed to prevent Tarras from causing an uncomfortable situation, by challenging him to a drinking contest. Thankfully the red dragon hadn't noticed how he kept pouring his ale back into the barrel..

"I.. was a bit scared that the queen might show up here, you know.." Sirion shuddered at the thought. "She.. called me a pathetic vermin the last time I saw her and that was the nicest thing she said to me.." He sighed.

"Hmm.. I guess that means you'll stay at the palace when I travel there." He softly stroked his lover's muzzle.

"Serath please.. I know she's a queen, but.. I don't want to have to share you with her.. It hurts so much when I think about it.. Please.. anything but that.." The green dragon whimpered as a tear ran down his cheek.

"Sirion.. I.." He wiped the tear off his mate's muzzle. "Please.. don't cry.. I.." He sighed deeply. "I'll see what I can do."

The green dragon happily rubbed his muzzle against his lover's chest. "Thank you my love."

"You know I'd do anything for you.." Serath held him close for a while.

"We should go back to your chamber I guess. I'm a bit tired." Sirion yawned as he got up and stretched his legs.

Serath nodded softly as he got up and looked down at the sleeping red dragon, before he followed his mate back to his chamber.

* * *

Sirion giggled as he stepped into the warmth of the emperor's chamber and noticed that the servants had brought some flowers and candles into the room. The smell was wonderfully sweet. He turned around as his mate closed the door behind him.

"I really like the flowers, maybe we could tell the servants to decorate the room more often.. Right now it's.. looking just how I feel when I see you." Sirion smiled softly.

"I want to try something with you.. if you don't mind." Serath walked up to him and gently stroked his lover's neck as his dress glimmered in the candlelight. The green dragon looked at him and nodded softly.

Sirion gasped as the black dragon swirled around him with swift yet sensual movements, his black scales brushing softly against him. He looked at him in surprise as he bowed before him. The green dragon bowed too and immediately his mate started to move again, gently sliding against his body. Sirion slowly began to turn around as his body reacted to that of his lover.

The light sparkled softly over their scales as the two dragons slid closer together; their bodies moving as one. Sirion was panting heavily as they danced to a soundless rhythm. It was a timeless dance, an ancient ritual as old as time itself, but their bodies knew it perfectly well. Each movement of one of the dragons caused a reaction from the other, until they finally stood perfectly still in the center of the room, side by side, deeply looking into each others eyes over their shoulders.

"That.. that was.." Sirion was unable to finish his sentence as his mate leaned forward and their muzzles connected in a deep kiss. He purred as Serath's tongue found his own, embracing it like a long lost lover. The tender muscle gently explored his maw and he eagerly welcomed it with his own, moaning softly as their tongues intertwined. He opened his maw further as he tasted the sweet flavor of the wine on the lips of his lover, inviting his soft organ deeper inside. Their tongues curled around each other, intertwining in a tender warm embrace until finally, Sirion broke the kiss. He started to pant heavily.

"That.. was.. I don't know what it was, but.. I love you." He started to softly push his lover towards the bed.

Serath gave him a loving smile as they reached it. Gently, he helped the green dragon to undress. "You know.. the emerald ambassador offered me one of his castles, including a pretty wealthy town and a silver mine, if I let him spend the night with you."

Sirion giggled as the tiara was lifted off his head. "A generous offer I'd say. How did you respond?"

"I told him, I wouldn't trade you for all the silver in the world." The green dragon gasped and drew him into a loving kiss. When their lips parted again, Serath chuckled softly. "After that I asked him if he knew you were male and he turned pale and emptied his chalice in one swig."

"Aw.. you ruined his fantasy.." Sirion blushed as the golden chains, that had covered his tail, fell to the ground.

Serath softly kissed its base, causing his lover to giggle. "I'm glad I don't have to rely on my fantasy when I want to be with you." He gently removed the last pieces of the dress from the green dragons body.

Sirion slowly turned around, presenting himself to his mate. "Now that you got me all naked again.. what are you going to do with me?" He smiled softly as he climbed onto the bed.

The black dragon licked his lips as he walked up to him and retrieved a small vial and his satchel. "Well.. first I need you to roll onto your back."

Sirion grinned as he rolled over and his lover climbed onto the bed. His paw began to rub along his sheath, gently pushing the orb back to the tight orifice at its tip. The green dragon squirmed in pleasure as the sphere stretched the tight opening before it popped out. A gentle wave of pleasure washed over his body, not as intense as the first time, but of course he hadn't been teased all the time after it went in.

"Hmm.. I miss the feeling of being stuffed, Serath.. could you help me out?" Licking his lips teasingly, he gently spread his sheath open with his claws. "If you hurry up you can slip inside before my dragonhood tries to escape.."

The black dragon smiled as he gave the sheath of his lover a tender lick, causing him to groan in both pleasure and disappointment as his cock started to slide out. "I'm sorry, but it's a special evening and I have something different in mind. We'll try your sheath tomorrow."

"Honeyscale.. you're such a spoilsport." Sirion groaned playfully. "Do you promise?"

"I promise." He gave the balls of his lover a soft kiss as he grabbed the vial and uncorked it with his teeth. Sirion gasped as he felt the cool substance dripping onto his length.

"Honeyscale.. I think you missed.." He looked down at his lover in confusion and found him smiling at him.

The black dragon gently spread the lubricant over his lover's twitching shaft. "Just relax sugartail. You deserve a special reward and we have neglected your poor dragonhood long enough, don't you think?" He softly stroked the sensitive organ with his paw as it throbbed seemingly in agreement. Slowly, his paw brushed along the green dragon's length, before it softly glid down over his growing knot and his sensitive sack. Serath grinned as he retrieved two rings from his satchel.

Sirion gave his mate a questioning look as he felt him slipping one of them onto his cock. "Isn't it a bit small for.." He watched in awe as the ring expanded while it slid down his shaft, even right over his engorged knot, before it came to rest right below the thick bulge.

"I told you what these are for right?" Serath moaned softly as he slipped the second ring onto his own hardening length. Sirion nodded. "Good. I just thought we could need a bit of extra stimulation after all that wine." He chuckled softly as he climbed on top of his mate.

"I hope you enjoyed the last moments of your virginity." The tip of his tail curled around his lover's eager shaft, gently raising it until its slick tip pressed against his tailhole. Sirion moaned as a trickle of precum emerged from his cock, only to be spread across the tight orifice of his lover. Serath purred as he felt the green dragon's length throbbing against his backdoor. "Looks like your cock is eager to get started, sugartail.. well.."

Sirion squirmed in ecstasy as the tight muscular ring kissed the tip of his dragonhood, before it began to slowly slide down his shaft. The sensation was intense, unlike anything he had felt before. So warm.. so soft.. He groaned as the muscular walls of his mate pulled on his cock, urging him to go deeper as the black dragon finally reached his knot and came to a halt.

Serath groaned in bliss as he felt the length of his mate throbbing inside of him. His own cock felt as if it was buried deep within the tailhole of another dragon, yet he could still feel the cool air brushing over it. If a threesome felt like this.. well.. He gasped as he began to raise his rump again while the ring immediately transmitted the sensation to his cock. A thick drop of pre fell from the tip, softly dripping onto the green scales of his lover's belly.

The green dragon watched it as it slowly fell, hovering just above his scales for a moment, before it finally made contact with his body. He licked his lips as he noticed that it was still connected to the glans of his mate by a glistening string of clear liquid. With a soft smile, he began to stroke the legs of his lover. "Serath, I.. aahh.." He moaned loudly as the black dragon sped up a bit and fell into a steady rhythm while his tail curled around his own.

"Sshh.. I know sugartail. It's your first time, so just lean back and enjoy." Serath gave him a gentle smile as he bent forward to lick his neck, all the while keeping his rhythm. His rump glid down his mate's shaft until his knot pressed against his tailhole. Each time he reached it, it became more frustrating, as the ring made him feel the pressure against his own knot too.. it made him want to let go and thrust forward, past the annoying invisible barrier.. to flood the insides of his mate with his essence.. He bit his tongue and tried to focus on the sensation in his rump, while his cock throbbed and drenched his lover in his precum.

Sirion groaned as the scent of his mate flooded his nostrils. His head rested on the soft pillows, as he desperately tried to relax. The urge to just push his mate off of him was almost overwhelming.. he wanted nothing more than to claim his ass, knotting him and filling his rump with his hot essence.. He gasped as the black dragon's tailhole reached his knot again. That slow sensual rhythm was both annoying and extremely satisfying.. His cock throbbed inside of his lover's ass, as it poured another gush of lubricant into him. Even at this rate it wouldn't be very long until he.. Sirion gritted his teeth as the black dragon lowered his rump again and his knot began to press insistently against his backdoor. "Serath.. hng.. I.." He was unable to finish his sentence as the black dragon bent forward and he felt his tongue slipping into his maw. Sirion groaned as his knot slowly stretched the tight orifice of his mate.

Serath kept pushing himself down. The pressure building around his knot was almost unbearable. He curled his tongue around the soft, slick muscle of his lover as he pushed once more and the thick bulge popped into him. His mate gave a muffled whimper as he reached his climax, squirming and thrusting his hips while the black dragon's inner muscles milked him off his seed. Serath groaned softly as he felt the hot liquid spurting into his bowels, his tongue eagerly embracing that of his mate.

After a while the flood of Sirion's essence ebbed and his cock throbbed one.. two more times as it gave up the last drops of his precious liquid. Serath broke the kiss and smiled down at his lover; the green dragon lay spent and heavily panting beneath him. He chuckled as he raised his rump, causing Sirion to groan softly as his knot refused to let go.

"Honeyscale.. that was.." The green dragon weakly raised his head. "I've never.."

"You should rest a bit now, sugartail. I guess we'll have stay like this for some time.." Serath leaned forward and gave the neck of his mate a tender lick as he gently lowered his body and lay down on top of him. "I'm glad I got to be your first."

Sirion blushed softly as he looked at him. "You.. were the first to.. claim me too after all.." He felt the still rock-hard shaft of his mate throbbing between their bodies. "Serath.. you didn't.. I mean, I could.."

The black dragon gave his snout a soft lick. "You're sweet sugartail, but it's okay. I mean, I got what I wanted right?" He smirked as the shaft of his lover twitched inside of him. "I love you Sirion."

Sirion looked up and deeply into his eyes. "I love you too Serath.." He closed his eyes, opening his maw slightly as the tongue of his mate slipped inside again.

The two dragons stayed like that for some time, until Sirion's knot finally softened. Serath moaned as he raised his rump and allowed the green dragon's thoroughly drained length to slide out again. He climbed off of his mate and lay down next to him.

Sirion cuddled up to his lover and giggled. "I don't know if you noticed it, but.. it's.. totally clean, you know?"

Serath smirked at him. "I guess my body likes what you have to offer.." He gave his mate a soft kiss as he drew him close to his body.

The green dragon tenderly rubbed his muzzle against the neck of his mate and sighed happily, before he slowly fell asleep in his gentle embrace.

Serath kept watching him for a while. He felt his heartbeat soft and calm against his paws while his wonderful green scales glistened in the moonlight.. He was truly blessed to have a mate like Sirion.. Smiling, he gave his sleeping lover a tender kiss, before he lowered his head onto the pillows and closed his eyes.
