Fetor of the Seas
#1 of Monster Hunter Stories
This is mostly a fetish story. Read the tags ; these words quite describe what you're going to imagine if you're about to read what's coming.
Here the MH story I planned to write. I did not find similary stuff in the MH-relative art (despite all the potential of the franchise on the feral side), so here's one !
If you want to post a comment, or share your impressions, please feel free to do so, any comment will be heartily welcomed~ Warn me if you come across mistakes too !

Description : Our fishing waters have no fishes anymore ! Couldn't you do anything about that ? It must be a monster, it's always a monster... The future of our trade balance is upon you ! (And the future of our stomachs too.) - Desesperate Fisherfurry
"I'm so sorry, we have no oxygen bombs left." "Okay, no problem. Do you know when you'll have some ?" "Oh, probably in two days, if sea keeps to be as good as it is." "Hm. Two days... It's a bit long."
She was so confused that she suddenly didn't know what to say.
"I'm so, so sorry... Can I make you some special prices on our Tanzia Snacks to apologize for the inconvenience ?"
The lizard discussed endlessly to make understood he really didn't need it. But the cat and her blond bunches wanted to please him so much that he got away weighted down with colored fabric and fresh products, with about thirty half-price potions and with a free volume dealing with a new subspecies of a monster living in a foreign country he could never go. At least it was better than nothing. Maybe.
Sun was harsh on Port Tanzia, as always. Furries passing and chatting, some hunters landing in victorious groups, others eating at the canteen and rummaging about in their chests, heading for a new quest. The lizard looked pretty cool among the others in his new, voluminous, bright blademaster armor, but right now, he only minded about reaching his chest before everything fell down.
It is at this moment that our specific hunter was approached by a hopeless voice.
"Ho ! You ! You, with the Hunting Horn !"
The voice almost bumped into the hunter, but was stopped by the calm appearance of this armored lizard. Carefully and silently, the hunter reached his chest, tidied his stuff inside precautiously, and eventually got up, turned towards the villager, his muscled arms crossed. The lizard looked at him ; the non heroic character, with his rags, his old cap and his odor, was apparently a fisherman, if not, as his voice had let him find out, a desperate fisherman.
"So ? What do you want ?" asked the lizard. "I'm so happy I've finally found you ! The Moga village Chief told me you would be the one that could help." "Guess you've got a problem with a monster ?" "Yes, yes !"
All of the sudden he change his tone and became embarrassed, but the hunter didn't noticed it on the moment.
"Oh, erm, actually, I don't-" "What again ?" the lizard carried on, rather bored. "A Plesioth attacked your boat ? A Royal Ludroth prevent you from reaching a part of the island ? Or, was it a Green Plesioth ?" "No, no - I spoke a bit quickly I think," answered the fisherfurry. "The problem is with Epioths..."
The hunter at first thought it was a ridiculous joke, but the preoccupied face of the fisherman made him tried to keep his seriousness.
"Epioths ? How those weak monsters could be a problem ?" "Well, the problem is not the Epioths either..." "So ? What is the problem ? Explain yourself, please."
The Fisherfurry reflected, and eventually found the words.
"The fact is more that there is no more Epioths. You know, there are usually a bunch of these peaceful beasts in the north-west area of the Deserted Island... But, for a few days now, there is any Epioth left - actually fishes are getting rare in the surroundings."
The story quite interested the Hunter. Not only it drastically changed from the usual complaining of random people who wanted a monster killed for no reason, but it eventually made him curious.
"Okay. You'll lead me to the place in question ; but before it just go to see the Guild Sweetheart to deliver your quest. I'll be waiting at the Moga village."

They arrived in the large bay at the south of the Deserted Island, which was deep enough so they could easily see the edge of the lands ; the blue bay was pierced here and there with two or three rock pits which emerged from water. The water was as serene as the sky was, of a perfect azure, without any trouble... It was surprising, now, how quiet the place was ; the Hunter remembered that some Epioths used to swim around here... But, on this day, there was nothing but the water, the rocks, and, there, the coast, the Deserted Island, in all these clean, gray rocks, bright grasses, pure water.
"You see ?" "Yeah... Now you've told me, it's crystal clear."
Out of the blue there was some movement. Waves came shake the shell, and, a few meters apart the hull, a great shadow sneaked quickly under the boat ; it was followed by a track of bubbles, directly coming from underwater, rising up to the surface. The track came towards them, and also passed just under the frail boat. Big, airy gushes popped right besides the two furries, on the still water ; the lizard bent overboard, curiously, attempting to see what caused this, when, as he was just over the bubbles, slightly hot waves of a putrid stench hit him in the face. The lizard promptly moved back, coughed, and wafted the stink away. Some tiny fishes arose to the surface - they must have been lucky enough to survive until this day. The Hunter found out that the path of bubbles was letting behind a path of heavy fumes hovering over water, each globe full of the mysterious gas bursting into puffs of this acid stench. The Fisherfurry coughed too, covering his nose with his shirt. The strange stink enshrouded the boat and them few seconds, and then disappeared, swept away by fresh marine breezes. Nothing left but the corpses of the tiny asphyxiated fishes.
"So ? What do you think ?" "I think it's not surprising that your marine fauna flew away. It's coming from underwater, so the water itself had to be somehow altered." "But what about the monster ?" "The monster ?" "Well, you know, these gases - it had to come from a monster." "Hm. I don't know any marine monster with... "gassing" abilites. Can't they be gases from the ocean floor ? From some geological emanation ?" "But, you've seen it ! The trail, the shadow ! How they have moved." "Maybe bubbles from an underwater rim ?" "No ! It only can be a monster !" insisted the Fisherfurry. "Please... A little dive couldn't do nothing to you... You're the savior of the Moga Village... You're our only hope..." And the lizard eventually got exhausted : "Oh, okay, okay, I'll dive, if it's what you want."
So the lizard got up, adjusted his armor, and got near to the water. He reflected then ; "gassing" abilities ? Huh, that strange for the region. Even for the ecosystem ; what can produce such quantity of stench to be able to repel all the fauna of-
"What are you waiting for ?" "Shhh, I'm thinking about what can cause this phenomenon." "Well, y'know the only way to know it is to dive."
Yeah. He knew. It was a long time ago the last time the lizard had be confronted with an unknown threat, that is all. On these words, he held his breath, and jumped into water.

For obvious and surely practical reasons, breathing underwater is for hunters only a matter of finding an oxygen source here or there, as it often bubbles from the underwater floor at some specific points. Once having notice them, the hunter only had to reach them when he need air, and, for the same reasons previously quoted, that emergency would not happen so frequently. But when you need it, well, you know, you need it, and if you can't manage to find air, for challenging reasons, the hunt is over. And you don't want it to happen. Because of frustration. Great frustration.
The lizard found himself under the surface, bathing in the great dense blue. Now accustomed to submarine hunt for all those quests he had accomplished, he didn't waste his time and promptly turned towards the west, where the trail of bubbles had gone. Through the blue blur of the sea, he only had time to see a great shadow move further into the cove. This clearly stank the battle, sooner or later. The lizard swam on few meters, his adrenaline beginning to fasten the beating of his inveterate heart ; his skin shivering with adversity, dry under his waterproofed armor. He raised a hand to the handle of the Hunting Horn he was carrying on his back ; he grabbed it, drew out the big instrument, and carefully played a few notes to give him heart to reach the next area faster.

The lizard hunter found himself in a smaller underwater zone, with a pillar of rock right in the middle, pointing out of the water. The entrance to the endless ocean opened to the north, and a glimmer of sunlight in the west far away in front of him let him guess a possible way to the surface - maybe a seashore cave or something. But the most important thing was clearly to the south. Right under pale sunrays piercing their way through the peaceful water, as if it was shrouded by a precious, holy veil of sapphire water, a Lagiacrus was here. The sea wyvern, long as it is, was coiled and eyes-closed, as if it was sleeping - the hunter thought the creature was sleeping, as every time he fought one of these rare creatures (although commons in the region) they have been seen resting this way. The hunter approached precautiously, with effective breaststroke movements - every meter he was getting closer, he could hear a dull rumbling noise coming from the monster, noise which was, most possibly, the Sea Wyvern's snoring sounding underwater.
But the beast wasn't sleeping. The hunter wasn't half the normal way to the monster before his gesture could wake the sleeping beasts up that the Lagiacrus suddenly opened its yellow, shiny eyes. The Sea Wyvern quickly unwound himself, agitating the waters ; it stood tall in front of the hunter, and roared angrily. The sound of the beast made his effect on the lizard as always, a short moment of apprehension in front of one of the nature's beautiful, mighty creation - but it was necessary, because once the roar was over, this sound gave him enough courage to engage the battle and complete his quest.
The fight actually began under normal conditions. The hunter could hit the monster with fierce blows from his massive weapon, pressing the keys so that the air pressure due to the blows would be able to perform notes when he would find the time frame to play them. Aiming at the horns, like his grand master told him, because the head was the weaker point, knowing how and when the monster would attack, everything predictable, and him already counting the zennys he will receive for the capture of that specimen ; in short, a fight as usual, full of dodging the claws, the tail, the ball of electricity and all that stuff. The lizard would almost forget the impressiveness of the battle, with the majestic beast swing nimbly, his terrifying fits of rage, and the tension permeating the water all around them... When the lizard hunter suddenly remember that hunting this Lagiacrus wasn't his actual quest - he only had to find out the source of the pollution and put an end to it. Sure he knew that such pollution came from a living being, and the Lagiacrus as the only one in those waters, but... How this Lagiacrus can possibly be the source of that stench ? He means ; the monster was fighting properly, as any other Lagicarus... Well maybe it was a bit slower than the others, but... Wait... Was it, somehow... Annoyed by something... ? After all, this Lagiacrus wasn't as nimbly as the others were... The hunter paid closer attention at the beast, and, between two powerful swings of his weapon, he actually thought that the Lagiacrus seemed to bend aside sometimes... The lizard was lost in his thoughts that he didn't see the monster coming. The Sea Wyvern fully charged his electricity, its beige spinal spikes glowing with light blue sparkles, and hurled itself at the hunter. The blow sent him fly as meaningful it is when it happens underwater, leaving the lizard stunned and defenseless, his skull heavily shaken into his helmet ; he had no time to recover from the blow that the Lagiacrus went off his sight ; a second later, a loud, deep bubbling sound was heard, and the lizard found himself surrounded by a slew of foamy bubbles rushing up to the surface. He was first too disorientated to think about taking advantage of this sudden environment for breathing, but his ideas quickly set up again and, in a flash of remembrance, he immediately held his nose and shut his mouth. These bubbles were of course the toxic ones ; and if he didn't fall into this trap, the great windy submarine agitation made him lose his marks. The lizard promptly looked around but saw nothing but bubbles ; when the flow finally ended, he only glimpsed the point of a tail, under him, winding right on his left. He promptly reflected, and must acknowledge that these bubbles actually came from the Sea Wyvern, and, judging by the booming, rude sound it made, he had to recognize it came right from the other side of his mouth.
In this short period of time, as all of this happened quite quickly, the bubbles eventually vanished and the hunter, although he had considered this worst-case scenario without never completely agreeing with until now. The lizard had no time to be grossed out, his helpless state only allowed him to receive a blast of electricity right in the chest that left him breathless. These multiple attacks had surely weaken him, but his health didn't really matter now he was running out of oxygen. So no he must find a source of the precious air, quickly ; he looked at the seafloor, looking everywhere ; oh, there's one right here under those sunrays ! The hunter hastily swam his way to the sand, not giving anymore attention to the monster. If he gives his best breaststroke, he knew he could reach it before- well, no, he did not make it. The last events should have warned him, this Lagiacrus wasn't like the others.
The monster began to behave differently. With one of his paw the Sea Wyvern caught the hunter by his legs, then left his tail and his hindlegs in front of him, and eagerly drew the lizard towards his cloaca. With its other paw, the beast grabbed the hunter's head and firmly pushed it against his anus. Here, the Leviathan grunted, and unleashed an atrocious torrent of bubbles which exploded loudly underwater, right onto the lizard's face. The foaming eruption struck him in his mouth and snout, blinding him completely, and he was desperately forced to swallow it to survive... He had to gulp down the acrid, decaying fart, a taste of rotten fish and some abyssal, sulfuric monstrosities penetrating his lungs and stinging his trachea. His breathing system had a real pain to filtrate it, as he had the impression there was no oxygen nor vital elements but only foul, deadly gases. But somehow, in this nightmare of the senses, he survived ; his flailing eventually succeeded and he escaped from the firm grip of the Lagiacrus. With great efforts the lizard hunter swam quickly towards the source of air on the ocean floor, and reached it in time. He finally breath oxygen, lot of it, and, feeling clearly dishonored, turned around : the Sea Wyvern, standing here and looking at him while he felt like vomiting, and the lizard was sure that that beast was smirking, proud of his disgusting prank. So the hunter angrily played a few notes, and, then, boosted from everywhere, rushed at the monster, ready to take this to an end.
Swing, dodge, hit, play, strike, roar, groan, swear, once again, but for a shorter period of time. Looked like Gassy Leviathan got more and more exhausted, and more and more bent aside. At last, the hunter didn't know if it was its injuries or its pain, but the Lagiacrus gave up rather quickly. It groaned, and suddenly curled up ; the monster made a u-turn, and then, swimming slowly, with difficulties, as if it was limping, it managed to reach the luminous entrance of the western cave. A front paw before its gut, the Sea Wyvern acted like it was holding it in pain ; occasionally, after some movements, numerous, tiny bubbles were emitted from its tailhole. Our hunter did not want to let him go so easily, thus he swam after him.
The area they entered was a cave on the seashore ; the sea could enter in here and a subterranean beach had been formed by years. With great efforts, the Lagiacrus came out of the water moaning, crawling on land. Thanks to the beast's slowness, the hunter could have catch him up rather quickly, and went back on earth just after the sea wyvern ; such race and last problems make him huff and puff his first steps on the sand... but it was only to see the impressive wyvern lifting his long, pointed tail. The lizard would only want to catch his breath for one second, and the Lagiacrus greeted him with an astounding gust of flatulence. As they were on land now, in atmosphere, the fart could be expelled with all the vile sound, force of wind, and stale air it supposed. It resonated in the beach cave, sounding particularly deep and wet as the beast himself, and so his anus, were still soaked. But such wet feeling didn't prevent the flatus from heating the hunter's dripping scales, eyes and olfactory sense in one shot. Stench of rotten seafood get definitively more pronounced and violent, for his smell was fully working, and in the process a strong eggy odor spiced it. Blown back by the powerful flatus, the breathless hunter coughed heavily as nothing but that hot, putrid stench entered his lungs only wanting fresh air. Eventually the fart ended on a very wet note, and the Leviathan sighed in a growl, he quickly looked back, and the hunter, through his stung sight and between to fit of cough and moaning in that stink, was here again sure of noticing a sort of a grin on the wyvern jaws. The area was a dead-end ; so the fight finished here. As we said, the Lagiacrus was clearly weakened, and two powerful, offended strikes on its hindlegs eventually made him fall on his side. The Leviathan's four members were flailing around powerlessly as the beast tried to get on its paws, thing that left enought time to the lizard hunter to properly set a shocking trap, right besides the monster. At the end, luck wanted to the Sea Wyvern's swinging tail get caught in the effect zone of the trap ; the hunter didn't waste his time ; he promptly threw tranquilizer bombs at the reptile, and the Lagiacrus definitively fell on its side, sleeping and anesthetized.
All the tension subsided. Slowly. Silence, the sound of the waves, and the snoring of the calmed down wyvern.
Whew. Finally.
******
The Hunter took a time to catch his breath, to catch it properly, this time - even if a stale air could still be noticed - but it was finally over. But of course, he quickly got a call of the Fisherfurry, rapidly aware of the hunter's new success.
"Hunter ? Hunter ? How about the..." "I... I caught him..." said the huffing lizard. "Wonderful ! I knew you'd succeed. You're the savior of..." "Yeah, yeah... I know. When will you arrive ?" "Oh, erm, we're on the way. I mean - we're leaving right now." "Good. Don't waste your time. And don't forget the boats, this time. Taking a Lagiacrus away needs at least three of your little fishing wooden shells." "Don't worry. The fellows around here seemed rather accustomed to your quick captures, after all, you're so good and..." "I've already told you, stop it." " 'Scuse me. How is the beast ?"
The lizard looked at the great sea monster, who was snorting. In his sleep, his tail lifted, and his pearly rectum loosened ; the wyvern broke a silent wind, a hot puff which blew over the ground and gassed the sand dry. The hunter unfortunately found himself in front row. An intense, hot and fishy stink surrounded him ; he wafted the stench away and coughed a little.
"Yeah, yeah - kof, kof - the beast is full right." "Caught a cold ?" "No, non, it's... the odor. Don't ask." This buddy must be sick or something, reflected the lizard. "We will need time to come ; can you look after him before we arrive ? Make it sure he remains in good health, and all the traditional procedure." "Yes, no problem... But, wait, what do you mean by "in good health" ? "You know, make sure he doesn't catch any infection or disease or thing like that since you have must hurt him during the fight. Just the usual precautions... On the way..."
Hm. The "usual precautions" didn't ever mentioned what the hunter has to do if the beast was already sick...
"Problem...? Is the beast okay ?" "Yeah, yeah, don't worry. See you later."
Their conversation ended here. Now the lizard had to look after that snoring monster.
The Lagiacrus slept quite peacefully at first, perhaps since the fight itself must heave exhausted him, matter of recovering stamina and all that stuff. The Hunter sat besides his prey of the day, carefully thinking not to sit behind this always-awoke digestive system. He took his Hunting Horn and began to polish it with a butt of fabric he ripped off his bag. The latter was torn during the battle, so he also fought about buying a new one. With oxygen supplies, too...
Time passed rather quickly, even if according to the lizard those furries were taking their time to come. But, for a long moment now, the monster's sleep was disturbed by its moaning and various painful tightening ; obvious growling gurgles dealing with its bowels could be heard. The Hunter was ironically surprised the monster didn't blew off some stinky steam any longer. Time passed again, no furries coming, and the specimen of the week became worrying. His bowels ache didn't seem to calm down. The monster woke up slowly, but the tranquilizer and the paralysis both left it unable to get up - in fact the lizard figured that even his stomach-ache was preventing it from fleeing. But now awake, being more conscious of his pain, the Lagiacrus began to whine as far as these wyvern moaning could be cold "whining", its guts gurgling louder. The Hunter, as wounded was his pride and as hardened was his heart, couldn't help but feeling sorry for the monster. When he had the choice, he would always choose to capture the monsters he was hunting so that they would not suffer as much as a fight to death meant to him. During the battle, hitting those creatures was somehow an act of self-defense as the monster was usually the first attacker, or in other cases the monster was a problem for the innocent lives around there and must at least be repelled - now... Well, now, the battle was over, and he was in front of a helpless Lagiacrus that was complaining.
The Hunter got closer, and quickly figured that the only way to solve the problem was to help the Lagiacrus to relieve itself. The beast must eat something from the Deserted Island's coast that give him gases, or could naturally tend to be quite more gassy than others of its fellows, but finding out what put this in this state would not help. The urgent need as to help him to release what was gurgling inside. The Hunter also figured that the paralysis due to the shock trap must have tighten some of its muscles because of the time the monster just passed under the trap's effects, and thus it must have little by little prevent the wyvern to break wind. So making pressure on its abdomen would surely solve the problem.
On these thoughts the lizard fearlessly put his hands on the Sea Wyvern's white gut, and pushed. The scales of the beast were hard and the muscle indeed was really tightened ; so the Hunter pushed with full force, and didn't notice the half-torpid half-surprised look of the Lagiacrus seeing this scaly doing his best to help it. But despite all the Hunter's efforts, he succeeded in nothing but eventually pushing the powerless Lagiacrus on its back. The wyvern thus rolled and fell backwards in a thud, with its legs in the air, revealing his cream-colored rump to the air. But no, no fog horn sound that would come from that ass.
A horn... Maybe if... Here the Hunter thought about his weapon ; he immediately turned around to get it, and went back to the sick Lagiacrus who began to wonder what the hell this helper will do with a massive weapon. Far from dealing it a coup de grâce, the Hunter raised his weapon and gave the monster a gentle blow with his heavy Hunting Horn ; he rather let the instrument fall on the Lagiacrus's belly than gave him an actual blow, but never mind. The important thing was that it worked. As the weight fell on its bloated abdomen, the Lagiacrus huffed and felt an incredible amount of gas rushed along its colon - the Hunter heard it too. Here, recovering a bit the control of his backside, the dragon slightly raised a hind paw, put both of his legs slightly apart, and, in this fashion, it forced out a fart once again - for one second, it flew out in a loud tone, its vibrating cloaca giving the hunter another wave of its wyvern flatus. The lizard groaned and held his nose - the fart was short but the amount of flatus was incredibly consequent. Gallons and gallons of flatus must lie restrained in those lower intestines...
Another solution had to be found. Carrying on hitting him with his weapon was too dangerous, as he could injure the monster, and it would certainly take a hell of a time to push everything out second by second. This damn cloaca must be relaxed without being injured...
Huh. The Hunter could only see one way to do it. He looked at the Lagiacrus, and the Lagiacrus looked at him. The lizard examined closely the beast rectum, and sighed. He didn't know if the Sea Wyvern would have any idea of what he would imply, but nonetheless the Hunter warned, alternatively raising a paw and pointing the scaly anus of the monster :
"I'm going to put my hand in here, okay ? To help you."
This time, he didn't see a single thing on the Lagiacrus's face, but only a blank, expressionless snout, with, apart of this fierce features of a elongated maw, pointing teeth, and crowned hood, maybe, in those yellow glowing eyes, a bit of innocence about the fucking fact that a Hunter was about to do something quite sexual, but... Arf. The lizard looked back at this tightened ass. First tested if the beast didn't mind - if the beast had even understood him. He touched the wyvern's cloaca, and waited - no reaction. The beast rather seemed more and more curios. Wonderful... What if he suddenly get angry when he would realize that a freaking lizard is almost fisting him... ? This Leviathan couldn't escape from the trap after all, and the drug made him dizzy enough to prevent him from attack and to wait for the coming of the late furries. So the drug was still effective, and so every conditions was reunited to the next part. The lizard stared blankly at this rectum. Here he was. Let's finish this quest promptly.
So he put his hand in the Lagiacrus's anus and tried not to think about it. It was hard to plunge any finger into this tight rectum, so he had to tried a few times before succeeding into putting three folded fingers in it. The lizard thrust once, and suddenly his whole fist slipped further into the creature's colon - on this the Lagiacrus groaned abruptly. Was it pain or hm, well, anything else closer to pleasure, the Hunter did not mind and was only thinking about finishing it quickly. He felt his forearm got viscous with ass slime, and trying to loosen back this hole by moving his arm in it caused numerous disgusting suction sounds. Moreover this Lagiacrus was moaning since his fist has entered, more quietly, yes, but still moaning... Lost in the heart of this unseen hunting situation, the Hunter managed to thrust his arm up to his elbow, feeling more and more soaked muscle pressure against the scaly skin of his forearm. He insisted and insisted, his arm making squishy sounds against this filth, and this damn beast seeming to fucking enjoy the thing...
"Oh, come on ! Would you fart already ?!" he shouted.
And it happens. Maybe was the Hunter forgetting that fisting in these conditions would probably mean that the Lagiacrus would let the gas free when the lizard still have his hand in. Because it tuned to be a really hard situation for the lizard, who was actually on the verge of throwing up when the rectum loosened : he felt this big humid anus flap repeatedly against his arm as a burning, evil-smelling wind blew his away out from the monster's insides, along his lizard's member and shoulder. The stench was utterly strong and he was extremely close, having only one arm left to cover his nose and mouth ; but, noticing how well the Lagiacrus looked now, he got his arm out as soon as he could in a loud plop, and made a few steps backwards.
Now able to let loose, its state of mind prevented him from holding it in, and absolutely wanting not to, the Lagiacrus in full joy relaxed completely. An extremely loud and loathsome flatulence poured out of his ass in bubbles for seconds and seconds. So much gas ran out that his pearl-colored rectum eventually finished fully opened, his flapping expulsion turning into a silent hissing - always bulging like a small crater, his big scaly anus just emitted horrid gas in a long, airy puff that quickly stank up the area, pouring out as an acrid, rotten gas geyser. Of course the toxic stream of this intestinal mephitis seemed endless to the Hunter, who did his best to find a way to get rid from that gruesome stink, but the cave didn't offered him any chance of fresh air. As for the Lagiacrus, it was the great time of its relieving, and after enjoying these moments of physical pleasure, it carried on with this long moment of alleviation, his tongue out, and a sort of a joyful smile on his jaw while farting freely.
******
The Fisherfurries came, of course, at the end. The Lagiacrus had been taken away to nowhere, as after any capture - the Hunter heard that they did want to know what had been its actual illness, if it is really gone, if it was something he ate around here, or if it was something special to this specimen - actually the Hunter only wanted to get his reward. The separation with that Lagiacrus was perhaps a bit abrupt, but he only thought about it days later. When the furries had arrived, they got surprised by the heavy funk redolent of decaying eggs and seafood the place had, but they did not ask him anything. It would be more true to say that the lizard didn't let them ask him anything, as he had simply handed his purse, holding it with an arm covered with some slimy brownish matter. So here again they did not ask nothing, trusting the Hunter and seeing that the apparent sole living being in the region had been captured. The lizard got his zennys and their blessings, and didn't even thought about the smallness of this reward compared to what he had endured this day ; no, he only thought about getting some rest now. ...What about giving up with hunts ? Of course not ; it was only his first unusual hunting, and, after all, in some way, somehow, it had been, with the benefit of hindsight, a bit funny. He laughed then, maybe with bitterness, when he heard about others Hunters and their Lagiacrus's hunts. At least, this time, it changed from the others usual days.
