**Well, here you go. Chapter 1 is done. I was bored since its raining where I am and decided to type away. I don't really put too much effort into correcting and editing so i apologize if you find any grave mistakes I've made. You can tell me in the comments if you want but I doubt many people will really like this anyways. I appreciate it if you've taken the time to read this. Also I'm not quite sure if I'm only supposed to use the m/m tag if there's sex or other "interactions" but I just put it there because there are technically two males interacting. Yeah. I'm clueless.

As a side note, ADORABLE BABY DRAGONS FOREVER! <3**

He wasn't sure when he regained consciousness but Darius knew for a fact that he wasn't in the bed he had fallen asleep in last night. He could feel a faint breeze running over his hair and he was sitting leaning back on some kind of rough surface. To be honest he was afraid to open his eyes but he knew he had to eventually. What greeted his vision was a lush forest that he could not see an end to from where he was. It seemed he was propped up against a tree and he looked up to find tiny glimmers of sunlight streaming through the abundant green leaves. All around him birds chirped happily and the faint rustling of the leaves added to the peaceful atmosphere.

"So it wasn't a dream..." Darius sighed as he got up and dusted himself off. Strangely, when he rubbed his face he felt a LOT of hair. The 16 year old boy had always done his best to keep his budding facial hair at bay so he knew that it couldn't have been a beard unless that much time had somehow already passed. He decided he would worry about it later as he went to scratch his itchy head only to have a sharp pain course through one of his fingers. Darius yelped as he pulled his hand back and shook his head vigorously in an attempt to get whatever had bitten him off. To his relief and slight unease the creature hopped off his head and landed somewhere in front of him and when he tried to get a closer look at it he couldn't believe his eyes.

"No way," Darius gawked as he regarded the little dragon giving him a dirty glare. It was different from Bahamut in the way of it being a western dragon rather than an eastern with four legs that connected to a proportionate body. It could have easily been confused for a regular lizard if not for the small wings that folded over its back. Its scaled hide was sky blue and reflected the sun but not enough to cause any uncomfortable glare. Little white stubs that must have been the beginnings of horns extended out from the back of its head and the irritated eyes that glared directly at him contained human looking pupils except for the fact that golden slits ran across the average inky blackness. It also had silvery white claws that extended from each of its paws but they were currently too dull to cause any real harm. If the baby dragon was stretched out fully it would be no longer than his lower leg. It looked quite adorable actually despite its current anger.

"Uhhh, I'm really sorry if I disturbed you." Darius said as sincerely as he could refraining from giving away how cute the little dragon looked to him fearing it was anywhere near as powerful as Bahamut had seemed. It merely grumbled at him and proceeded to curl up with its tail under its head. It seemed that it had been resting on top of Darius' head in the same position when he accidently disturbed it. He couldn't help but stare it partly because he found it so adorable and partly because it fascinated him that there was a REAL dragon resting in front of him. He'd always secretly wished that dragons existed somewhere out there back on Earth.

"Earth..." Darius sighed sadly as he remembered his home and more specifically that he would not be able to go back anytime soon. He already missed his friends and family even though he had always imagined something like this happening to him since he was little. He didn't know where he was, why he was there, and most importantly, what exactly he was supposed to do. Everything that had happened in the span of what he perceived as a single night was now collapsing on top him and he resisted the urge to cry as he returned to sitting against the tree with his head in his knees.

He didn't know how long he stayed like that but he eventually felt something rubbing against his leg. He slowly picked his head up and looked down to see a little blue dragon stroking his leg with its paw. Despite his inner turmoil Darius smiled a little and moved his legs to be sitting in the criss-cross position so the dragon could climb into his lap. As the dragon laid in his lap he stroked its head gently and it murred in response albeit, very quietly. As Darius relaxed with the help of his new friend he thought back to what Bahamut had told him. He knew that if he ever wanted to get anywhere he would have to move forward and maybe, just maybe he would find a way to return home. Finally accepting his current situation he gently picked up the now slumbering dragon and carefully placed it atop his head and it immediately proceeded to curl up as it had done multiple times now. Slowly standing up, Darius decided he needed to find some help if he was going to get anything figured out and randomly chose a direction to walk in going on the fact that the forest would end eventually...hopefully.

-Hours Later-

After hours of walking and snacking on the convenient abundance of raspberries along the way Darius finally came upon what must have been a manmade path. He almost jumped in excitement but remembered the little dragon that would maul him if he were to cause it to fall. He followed the path and finally emerged out of the forest to what looked like a country road amidst a gigantic grassy field. He looked up to find that 2 suns shined in the clear blue sky above him and wasn't really surprised. Meeting 2 dragons with one being a god would do that to you. As he continued along the road he came upon a crossroads with signs that corresponded to each direction. Going forward would take him to somewhere called the "Rhindel Mountains". Going left would take him to the "Deadlands". Finally, going right would go to somewhere called "Drakhina". Considering that he probably didn't want to trek through a mountain or somewhere called the "dead" lands he quickly decided to follow the path to his right.

-An Hour Later-

After an hour of mindless walking, Darius finally came upon something that broke the dull scenery. Some distance away from him stood a massive stone wall but what really caught his eye was the humungous chunk of land that was suspended in midair behind the wall. He could make out what looked like a city on top of it and he simply stood there staring in awe at its grandeur. He thought about the danger of interacting with people who could accomplish something like that but he quickly banished the thought and was content with the fact he had at least found a civilization to hopefully get help from.

After even more walking he could finally see the gate that would allow him access to what lay behind the wall that protected the city. He would have ran up to it if not for the fact there was a guard standing by. This wouldn't have really bothered him as much if he didn't see horns jutting out from its head and familiar slitted pupils adorning its stern "face". The guard standing before the gate could only be described as a real life scaly, a dragon at that. Its body, covered in armor did not give away its species except for the plated tail. Its head however, adorned with horns, scales, and familiar slitted eyes looked far too authentic to be a costume and left no question as to its species. He even had fangs that stuck out from on the sides of his muzzle.

"Of course there are anthros. What a dream come true." he thought sarcastically as yet another of his fantasies came true which frightened him more than excited him. He thought about avoiding confrontation altogether but if it was as reasonable as the furs which resided only in fiction at home then he would have to take that chance. He couldn't keep wandering forever. Taking a deep breath he calmly approached the gate with the little dragon still resting on top of his head. As he approached it stopped him just as expected.

"Halt," it right said gruffly. "What business do you have in the holy city of Drakhina?" The big guard was a good 2 heads taller than him and gave Darius an intimidating gaze as he waited for an answer with arms crossed over his chest.

"Well..." Darius trailed off as he struggled to formulate an acceptable answer.

Should I tell him that I'm apparently an avatar of a divi-err dohvine god chosen from a parallel dimension to maintain the balance of the world? Of course not, even if he is a dragon...person that would sound fishy to anyone.

"I...am looking for help since...I've been wandering for a long time." He said as surely as he could knowing that the statement alone simply oozed suspiciousness. He tried to add pleading eyes to his face but found it difficult since he rarely ever begged outwardly for anything. The guard regarded him carefully as if searching for any sign of danger to the city on this one small being that had the nerve to approach the holy capital so nonchalantly. Finally the dragon's piercing gaze relaxed.

"An exile eh? It's rare for the Fenneckin to send one of their own off to die. I'm surprised you survived long enough to make it all the way here considering the status of your people's strength as a race." the dragon mused in a mix between amused and impressed.

"Fenneckin?" Darius inquired. The dragon gave him a puzzled look.

"Yes, you are one of them are you not? I can tell by the reddish coloring of your fur and the wolf-like features of your body, although considerably weaker in comparison." he said in an amused tone and proceeded to pinch one of the pointed ears that were on top of the boy's head in a playful manner being careful to avoid the baby dragon that slumbered there. Darius grimaced on the outside at the slightly painful gesture but inwardly gasped as he realized for the first time that he had apparently become a furry in his crossover to another world. That would explain the hairy face...muzzle he had felt earlier.

How the hell did I not notice I had a muzzle?! I'm stupider than I thought...

"Oh, right. I'm uhhh, I'm just a bit tired from all the walking." Darius partly lied. He really was tired from walking for hours after all. The dragon scanned over his features once more and returned to his original serious demeanor.

"Very well, you may enter. Go through the gate and take the warp sigil up to the city." he stated and moved out of Darius' way. Darius continued forward but noticed the dragon leaning his head over to one of his ears

"Try not to get lost, cutie" he chuckled. Darius blushed furiously and quickly continued forward also wondering why the guard did not question the baby dragon on top of his head. After passing the gate Darius noticed a glowing white circle marked with symbols he had no idea how to read but he could see the light that softly pulsated from them. Assuming this was the so-called warp sigil the guard had mentioned, he tried to figure out how to use it. Eventually he walked into the center and was enveloped in a blinding white light that would take him up to Drakhina, the Holy Drakel Capital.
