It is the time of night in the Transcendence world. Two furs are in bed together--snuggling nude under the cinder red covers--and enjoying each other's company. The last few days have been ones of discovery. In the midst of their insanity induced state during the battles and infections, these two teens have discovered their feelings for one another. What began as a relationship of mistrust and antagonism has blossomed into one of new love and feelings to explore. Really, it is their second night of being a couple, and what a lovely moment it is.
Alexander nuzzles his feline lover and says something rather interesting. "Tell me more about yourself."
The feline is rather surprised when he heard the little statement that came from his tanuskidoodle lover. "Well, what do you want to know?" Anthony says as he caresses Alexander's chestfur, and purrs a bit.
Alexander thinks for a while to see what he wants to 'discover' about his lover. After a couple of short moments, he finally comes up with an interesting answer. "Everything...I want to know everything about you."
There is a short moment of silence between the two furs. Anthony almost never thinks about his past. He believes he would get depressed about it, or he would think that people would judge him for what he has done. Anthony sighed, and he let out a small chuckle. "Hehe...Well, let's see....Where to start...?" He says to himself quietly as his hybrid lover pulls their bodies closer together. "Did my brother, Avi, ever mention anything that sparked interest?" The tiger asks with a confused expression.
Alexander thinks for a couple seconds before softly sighing. "He did mention a family secret, but he didn't tell me about it." The tiger next to him looks kind of surprised that his brother Avi didn't explain the secret even though it was a rather... Dark secret. Anthony looks into Alexander's eyes and says with a somewhat expressionless face, "Should I explain it to you... Like what exactly happened?...What really happened?"
Alexander thinks for a couple seconds, and he finally decides his choice. The canine looked to Anthony with a tender smile. "Yes, I want to hear the secret."
"Are you sure? It's not exactly a happy secret. It's something very, very depressing. Are you sure you want to deal with a tragedy?" Anthony asks his partner.
"Yes I'm pretty sure I can handle it. Besides, tragedy can help explain our little insanity." Alexander says as he grins at the tiger in front of him.
Anthony lets out a small sigh. "Well...As you know I wasn't a very stable person before I joined the Transcendence..."
The tanuskidoodle nodded to his tiger lover. "Yes, you had told me this before."
"Moving on, I was just your average teenager...Well a teenager who lived in an orphanage..." The tiger says as he begins to tense up. "I was made fun of due to my high intellectual property, and my advanced knowledge of chemistry."
Alexander looks to him confused. "Why would you be made fun because of that? Those are amazing talents."
The tiger chuckles a bit. "Hehe...Well...in the orphanage, there were many not-so-bright people...who made fun of...well, anything..." He signs as he continues this tale. "And well...one day, I was adopted by the Evans family...They were so nice to me at first...but, then everything changed."
The ring tailed canine gives his lover a quick, tight hug and asks in response, "How?"
"During the first month everything was going very well, then father lost his job...When that occurred, everything went down-hill...and everyone changed....From tranquil and happy...to cruel and violent..." Anthony says as his expression became more distraught. The tiger begins to become more nervous as time passes. Sighing again, he continues. "Weeks passed...and everything was still same...
"It was a Tuesday morning, and as usual my mother and father were arguing about rather small things. I simply lay in bed and just thought about whether I should go to school and be tormented or not, but I know I had no choice anyway. My parents would've made me go. I heard the sound of a door slamming with a very audible bang. It looked like Daddy got mad and left again. I wondered why they fight so much...'Is it because of me?' I thought about that for a while, but I decided to move on from that. My brother and sister didn't like me very much, most likely because I was different from the rest of the family. They would call me names a lot, some of them were rude; some of them were not. They would mostly call me a "Loser" and a "Useless Pussycat"
"Lovely names I know...
"These got very annoying at the beginning, but, since then, I learned to block them out. I simply preferred to be the better person, rather than the bigger one.
"'Hey, Loser!' My older brother, Monte, said to me in a very rude tone as he threw a small book at my head. "Wake up!"
"I jolt a bit as I get startled from the impact of the book hitting my head. 'What the Hell?!' I said to Monte very furiously.
"He pointed and laughed at me. He was enjoying the pain he gave to me, the way he was taunting me...Teasing me...Torturing my soul...
"'Go away Monte!'
"He scowled at me. 'What are you going to do if I don't? Cry for your mommy? You're weak! You can't do anything!' He said as he continued to torment me...
"I simply sighed and thought in despair, 'This young man doesn't know when to stop. Honestly, I just wish I could teach him a lesson to show him the pain he gives me...To show him what it would be like if he was the one being hurt...But I'm too weak...He would beat me up...Again...And again.'
"I heard footsteps from down the hall as I saw Jenny come in and push Monte out of the way. She only did that to mess with me. She smirked at me a bit. "Come on, leave that loser alone, or he'll cry again."
"I rolled my eyes at her and got out of bed. They decided to walk up to me and push me down 'Ah!' I yelled as I fell to the ground with a thud. I turned around as they both left my room, giggling at me in shared sadism. 'I want to teach them a little lesson...It makes me furious that I can't make them understand...'
"I growled to myself as I got up from the floor and headed to my closet to pick out an outfit for school. After a couple minutes of thinking of what to wear, I picked out a simple outfit: black shirt, dark blue jeans, and tennis shoes. I started to think to myself that perhaps today could be better, but I highly doubted it was. I got dressed completely, and I looked into the mirror in my room. 'Here we go...' I walk over to my closet again and grab my book bag. Shortly after, I went to the door of my room and opened it. The door opened, making a slight creaking noise as usual it usually did. I exited my room, and, then, I headed down stairs to grab some food.
"I walked down the stairs and into the dining room. I went to the fridge in hopes of grabbing a granola bar, but my brother walked in and took the box before I even got to it. I frowned a bit at him in disappointment. "Really Monte, you're stooping this low?...This is just sad even for you..."
"He got a bit angry at me from my statement. 'At least I'm not a loser like you,' he said as he grabbed a bar and bit into it.
"'At least I'm not as cruel as you! At least I have a heart, unlike you!" I said to him, as my level of anger increased gradually.
"'How about you shut the fuck up before I kick your ass?" He responded angrily. I clinched my fists, and my anger towards him increased dramatically.
"'No! I'm sick and tired of the way you fucking treat me!" I yelled at him as I stormed out of the house.
"I shook my head once I was outside. 'I hope today will be better...' I cleared my head and started my walk to school. 'Monte and Jenny...I wish they were both dead...'
"After a couple of minutes of walking down the street to school, my friend, Carrie, came up to me from her house. 'Hey, Anthony!' She called to me in her usual, cheery tone.
"I smiled at her 'Hey, Carrie!'
"She looked at me a bit worried when my smile faded. "What's wrong?...Wait...Let me guess...The family from hell?" She said jokingly to me.
"Oh, Carrie. She always knew how to make my day a bit brighter.
"I looked at her again. 'Yep. How did you know?'
"Carrie looked away and smirked a bit. "As usual...Well, see you later. We're going to be late!" She said to me as we both approached the school. She ran inside as the bell rang
"'Shit!...Well...Looks like I'm late.' I started to run as fast as I could to get to my first period, hoping that the teacher wouldn't send me to the attendance office to get a pass. After a couple of seconds, I ran into class a little bit late and sat down at my desk. The teacher looked at me as if he knew why I was late. Good thing I had a bit of a connection with my teachers. He shook his head before he continued his lecture about the Renaissance. I sighed with relief as I took out a notebook and a pencil from my book bag. I opened the notebook and started to take some notes before I felt a paper ball hit the back of my head. I took a deep breath, and I look back to see the "popular" kids. 'Fucking Hell! Here we go again!'
"I breathed in and out slowly before looking at them. 'Could you please stop that?' I ask in the most polite way I could so that I didn't tick them off.
"Aron, the hyena who threw the paper at me first, looked at me with quite the amount of disgust on his face. 'What are going to do if I don't?' He said in the most rude tone possible. 'No one takes the easy way...'
"Annoyed, I turn away from him. I didn't feel like dealing with this bullshit right then, and I continued to work. After a couple minutes, another paper ball hit me on the head, causing me to flinch a bit as my anger increased again '...Really?' I chose to ignore it in the hope that they would stop, and, of course, they don't. Another paper ball hit me...then another...and another. I sighed in frustration and turned to face them again 'Could you please stop that?' I say to them again, in a polite way.
"Aron smirked at his friends 'Oh look, the pussycat is begging us to stop...What a loser...I bet he whines to his mother every night...No one loves you...You're just a useless loser.'
"As soon as he said that, something clicked in my mind. I felt...something come over me...Something sinister...but It wasn't a bad thing...
"While he and his friends were laughing at me, I grabbed a book and got up from my desk and walked over to Aron. 'How about you shut the fuck up," I said to him calmly with a smile, thinking that this would definitely anger him.
Aron lost his smirk, as I expected he would. 'What did you say to me ,you little shit?!' As his friends were making a sustained "Ooooooooooh!" sound in quite the childish reaction, Aron got up from his desk and walked up to me. He was the same height as me, so he wasn't really menacing to me, just really fucking annoying.
"'You heard me,' I said to him as I my smile became a bit...twisted. "You may be too full of shit to hear me. Maybe this could help!" I exclaimed as I grabbed the book with both of my hands, rose it above his head and hit him with as much force as I could possibly exert.
"Once the book made contact, Aron fell to the ground quickly and laid there from the force of the impact. I continue to smile at him, even though he was unconscious. "It's not so funny when it happens to you, but in a worse way, now is it?" I asked him as I dropped the book and sat back down in my desk.
"One thing I didn't realize while this happened was that the rest of the class was staring at me. The teacher appeared to be furious at me for what I had just done to a fellow student. "Go to the Principal's office!" He said to me in a loud voice as he pointed to the door.
"'Oh well, at least I got my little revenge...I needed that...' I got up from my desk and exited the classroom with a smile, now slightly less teisted, on my face.
"When I entered the Principal's office and sat down in a chair, the principal hung up the phone and frowned softly at me. 'He's probably going to lecture me about why I shouldn't have done what I did.'
"'Anthony, what happened? You're usually such a well behaved student." The bull said to me with a look of concern. "You usually don't act like this."
"I sighed as I began to explain what had occurred in class. "I don't know....Something went off in my mind...and, well,...I knocked out someone with a book...In other words, they ticked me off...and I got revenge."
"The principal looked at me with a slightly surprised expression. "Maybe you could stay home for a couple days, so you can feel a bit better...and when you do, you can come back to school."
"I look to him with my gaze slightly expressionless. "Okay. Do I go now?" I asked him as I got up from the chair.
"'Yes," He said to me as he started to do some paperwork.
"I left the school and started to walk home. I began to think, 'Mother and Father won't be happy with what I've done...Mother will be furious, but father...I don't know how he will be. Maybe he'll be happy that I stood up for myself.' I thought about how my father would react to this for a while as I headed home. After a couple minutes, I walk up to the door of my home and just stood there. My mind started to drift off somewhere, thinking about what my parents were going to do to punish me. 'Father won't punish me...' I sighed as I placed my hand on the door knob and turned it slowly. The door maked a bit of a loud creaking noise as it opened slowly. Hesitantly, I entered the house and closed door behind me.
"There was an eerie silence within my home. It was disturbing, but it was calming at the same time. I walked to the stairs, and I looked up to see if anyone was there. I knew that father should've been home by now, but I didn't know if mother was home. I walked up the stairs to get to my room. "Father?" I called to see if he would reply to me. After a short moment, there was nothing...Just silence.
"I got to the top of the stairs and to my bedroom door. The silence was still there, lurking behind me. I could feel it: staring...watching...stalking me. I hesitated slightly to enter my room thinking that mother was waiting in there. Suddenly, I hear the creak of the floor boards. I turn around before I am suddenly struck with a blunt object. "Ah!" I yell out as I fell to the ground with thud.
"I heard a female voice. "Time for your punishment little boy"
"'Mother...'
"I tried to back away from her, but she grabbed me by the ankles and started to drag me across the floor and down the stairs. I squirmed in an attempt to get away from her. 'Mother! Let me go!' I kicked her arms, and sometimes her face.
"'No! You must pay the price for your actions young man!' She screamed at me as she drug me into the kitchen. 'IHope you like the dark,' Mother said as she drug me a bit faster.
"'Oh no! The cellar...'
"Mother drug me to the corner of the kitchen and opened a wooden door in the floor. She struck me in the head to make me stop, but I continued to kick at her as she pulled me closer to the opening of the dark room.
"'Mother!' She let me go only to grab me by my shirt. I started to choke a bit from my collar being pulled onto my trachea. Mother slapped me hard before she threw me into the cellar. I hit the ground with a very audible thud. I whine a bit from the impact. 'It hurts...It hurts so much...in more ways than one...'
"Mama!" I called to her as I looked up to the opening of the cellar before she closed the door on me and left me in the darkness too think about my actions. 'Why must she do this to me...'
"For two hours, I lay on the floor of the dark room thinking about what I could do to make this better for me. Then, something went off in my consciousness: 'Maybe I should do something...That would be best...for me...and everyone...'
"'Anthony?' I heard my father say as he opened the cellar door and climbed down to me. 'Oh, my son...' He was sobbing as he hugged me. 'I'm sorry she did this to you.'
"I growled slightly as I get up from the floor. 'How do I know you're not lying to me again?!' I asked him loudly with an saddened look on my face as tears started to well up in my eyes.
"He hugged me again and pleaded, 'I'm not, son.'
"I got out of the cellar and ran to my room as I thought furiously '...I don't know if I can trust anyone...' Then, I lay in bed and thought about what I would do to show my family the pain they gave me. This little topic went through my mind continuously until I eventually fell asleep.
"The next day, I woke up from my slumber with a smile and looked around. "Today is the day," I said to myself as I got up from my bed and got dressed in a a black shirt, black pants, and black work boots.
"Monte came into my room and he threw a basketball at me. 'Hey, Loser!' he said to me in expectation of an emotional reaction.
"I simply smiled as I grabbed the ball and threw it back at him.
"He scowled at me. 'Why are you so happy? You're supposed to be annoyed and miserable!'
"Leave me alone Monte." I said to him, with my smile slightly faded. He walked out of my room. He was clearly pissed.
"I finished getting ready and headed downstairs to the dining room to grab yet another granola bar. As I reached for the box, Monte walked in and took it from me again. I continue to smile as I tried trying to not let his negativity into my mind. I knew that this was the perfect day for everything to change. He frowned at me again. 'What's wrong with you? Why aren't you yelling at me?' he asked as he threw the box on to the floor left the room.
"My smile grew slightly into a more twisted form, and I went to the door of my home. "Let's begin," I said to myself as I started to walk to the park. As I was walking, I noticed that Carrie hasn't come up to me yet. I started to wonder where she was. I was slightly worried, but I knew that she was safe. I thought my plan for the day could carry on.
"Before I reached the park, I stopped by the store and bought a chef's knife. When I got into the park, I placed the knife in my pocket so it would not be seen that much. The only thing visible was the very top of the handle. After walking into the more active area of the park, I saw Monte playing basketball with his friends and having such a fun time. It sickened me deeply, to see him happy and enjoying what he had. I noticed him looking over at me as he gave me a look of disgust. 'How nice...' I ran to a small creek before I decided to call him over. 'Monte!" I yelled to him.
"He sighed as he ran over to me. 'What do you want?' His voice was avery rude tone, as always.
"'I have a surprise for you!' I declared in the most cheerful manner I possibly could, causing his expression to change from disgusted to surprised.
"I began walking away as I said, 'Follow me.' Monte hesitated a bit, but he decided to follow. I walked down the creek for about five minutes, and we got to a large open space in a wooden area.
"Monte looked around. 'Why are you being so nice to me?' he said in a surprised tone as if someone being nice was new to him.
"'Because you've been such a good brother to me, and I think you deserve a little something special.' I let him walk in a bit further from me.
"He stopped about two feet away from me and looked away. 'So, what was the surprise you mentioned?'
"I pulled up the knife from my pocket, and I walked up to him slowly as I rose the knife up slowly. "Oh it's nothing too major just this." I said to him in a slightly maniacal tone, as I drove the knife into his back, causing him to yell out in pain. He fell to the ground without ceasing his scream. Oh what an absolutely glorious sound it was. I started to develop a twisted smile across my face as I enjoyed the pain that I gave to him. He turned around and looked at me with a terrified expression, and I snickered a bit in response. 'How do you like that brother?! How does it feel to know all the pain you've given me? How does it feel to be the the weak one?!" I yelled to him.
"'I was just joking! You knew that, right? I-I was just...but..." He tried to beg for mercy '...Pathetic...' He tried to escape.
"'Lies! You've never once told me that you were sorry. You've never shown me mercy. Why should I show you?" I accosted him as I drove the knife into his chest and heart. 'Today is the day that everything changes! Today is the day that everyone in our family understands the pain they have given me! Today is going to be a lovely day; oh, what a lovely day it will be!' I exclaimed to him as the smile on my face became even more twisted. He twitched violently before he bled to death. I laughed a bit as I took the knife out of his chest, and I walked away only to head back to the park. I placed the knife back into my pocket and sat calmly on the bench watching everyone in the park having a wonderful day.
"'On to my next victim...Jenny...'
"I got up from the park bench and started on my way back home. As I'm walked, I thought of all the ways I could kill her "...Maybe I could suffocate her, stab her, hang her...So many ways...But so little time. It's quite a shame...' I simply continued to walk, thinking about that topic, for a couple of minutes before I come up to the front yard of the house. I stopped in my tracks, and I developed a slightly twisted smile. 'It's time...'
"I sighed to myself as I walked up to the front door. The boards beneath me creaked slightly as I stepped on top of them. This noise was peaceful to me. I don't know why. I chuckled to myself as I placed my paw on the door knob and entered my home still with my smile.
"My father and mother looked at me from the living room. "Where's Monte?" Mother says to me with a bland tone and a concerned expression.
"'Oh...He's at his friend's house...spending the night." I said without stuttering. Mother nods in an "ok" answer. I walked up to my bedroom, and as I did I saw Jenny getting some clothes. 'Oh, she's going to shower...Good...Makes things easier for me.'
"She looked at me. 'What the hell do you want, Loser?'
"I laughed a bit as I smirked at her. 'Oh, nothing. Just checking in before I go to my room.' Jenny rolled her eyes at me and continued to get some clothes so she could shower as I walked into my room and shut my door. 'Time is running out.'
"After a couple of minutes, I peeked though the key hole of my door to check if Jenny went into the shower yet. 'Ah here we go...I see her walking into the bathroom...' 'It's about to get fun," I whispered to myself as I backed away from my door and sat on the floor. 'Just waiting for her to start cleaning herself... Waiting oh so patiently...'
"I heard some music playing. 'Oh nice....A cover up so no one will hear her scream,' I said to myself as my twisted smile grew. I grabbed the knife from my pocket and walked over to my bedroom door as I thought of how I would creep up on my sister so she wouldn't notice me when I walked into the bathroom while she was showering. I placed my hand on the door knob and opened the wooden door to exit my room. Before I exited my room completely, I looked around to see if Mother and Father were still in the living room, and to my surprise they're not arguing. I look back to the bathroom door, and I walked slowly over to where my sister was.
"I hesitated slightly to open the door. 'Psycho time,' I said to myself as I placed my hand on the door knob and sighed. I slowly openned the door. The music is quite loud it appeared, but she was listening to My Chemical Romance. 'Oh, I know this song... It's "Welcome to The Black Parade." It's quite a beautiful song in my opinion. Anyway, moving on...' I looked at the shower and I saw my sister turned away from me. I saw her because our curtains for the shower are a bit transparent; you can see into the shower clearly, but you can't look out.
"I developed a slightly twisted smile as I walked over to the shower, oh so slowly, as I listened to the water hit the floor. It was such a stimulating sound; it was something that gave me a sense of calm, yet a sense of suspicion. I heard my sister singing to the song. It was rather off key, however, which kind of annoyed me, but I was able to get over it. I looked at her through the shower curtain and smirked. I placed my hand at the end of the curtain, and I pulled it to my left. With a loud clicking sound, the curtain moved out of my way, and my sister turned around and looked at me with a rather terrified expression. This made me smile on the inside. Seeing her with this emotion just made my day a lot better, but I couldn't wait to see it on my next victims.
"Anyway, she screamed slightly before I stabbed her once, and hesitated to do it to her again. She tried to stop me, but it was worthless. She was too weak due to the blood loss resulting from the first stab wound. Seeing the blood running down her body was rather stimulating. It was such a beautiful shade of red! I stabbed her a couple more times before I finally backed away from her and left the bathroom. As I walked to my bedroom, I heard a loud thud... 'Oh would you look at that? She died... How sad... I wonder how Mother and Father react to this... I don't think I have to worry about that anymore... They're going to get what they deserve... A little taste of death...'
"I walked slowly to the staircase and still held the knife in my paw. I heard the TV playing its regular programming for the night. 'At least they won't hear me coming in,;things are easier in a way.' I reached the last couple steps then noticed that my father wasn't in the living room. 'He must be in the kitchen then.' I saw my Mother, staring at the TV while enjoying the programming and surprisingly not arguing with Father. I walked up to her slowly,at such a pace that I was not noticed that much. She suspected nothing, which was quite good.
"Just as I was about to impale her with the knife, she got up and grabbed my arm to stop me. 'Oh, would you look at that? She's trying to be a little defector to her own death, which I will bring to her. It's inevitable...I'm going to kill her!' She tried to push me away from her so that she could have a chance to escape. She succeeded in this, resulting in me falling to the ground and letting go of the knife. She ran to the knife and tried to grab it, but. before she did, I kicked it out of her way.
"She yelled to me, 'Why are you doing this to your family?'
"I smirked to her. 'Well Mother, you see I was tormented all my life, and I thought that when you adopted me...I thought I would be happy, but it wasn't true. During the first month it was great...It really was...I'm being completely honest here. However, once Father lost his job, it went to Hell. Everyone changed...' I said to her as I grabbed her neck and threw her to the ground with as much force as I could possibly exert. "It was bad enough that I was tormented in the orphanage for quite possibly the most ridiculous reasons... But you and the rest of the family, except father, had to just make it worse for me once the month passed...Did you know that Monte tried to rape me mother? Did you know that Jenny helped him? Do you know that I had to stab him for him to stop? Do you know what he does to me every day at school and at home? Do you know what they both do to me, Mother? The pain that it gives me? The pain you all give me?" I said to her as she was on the ground crying and begging for mercy. 'I honestly don't care that she's doing this. I'm going to murder her; she's going to die.' I go to where the knife was and picked it up before I looked back to her. I still had the twisted smile on my face. "Well, I think it's about time you understand what you've done to me, which I believe the best thing to make you understand is simply... Death."
"She tried to back away from me, but I stabbed her in the ankle, immobilizing her. 'Well, I hope you've had a wonderful life together because it's going to end right now." I say to her softly as I take knife out of her ankle and impale the knife into her heart. She screamed in pain as the blood started to spew out of the wound. My twisted smile became a bit larger from seeing the blood running down her body, soaking into her clothes, and leaving a beautiful shade of red on her. Glorious! She twitched violently before she finally died. 'About time...Hehe.'
"I contemplated whether or not to kill Father since he was the one person in the family to be kind to me. He wouldn't torment me like the others. Instead, after the punishment/torment was over he would come to me and try to support me. He wouldn't bring me down after torment. He's try would bring me up.
"Just then, Father walked into the room and looked at me, next to my mother's dead body with blood on my hands. He nodded understandingly at me. 'Why?'
"'I had a feeling that you would do this,' He said to me as he started to tear up. 'Ever since the torment began, I started to develop a feeling that you would eventually...snap. That's why I tried to support you, so you wouldn't have to do something like this. However, I had a feeling that this was also inevitable, so I really didn't try to do much to stop you. Anthony, if you still love your father...If you still love, me we can live somewhere else. This is only if you want to... If you want to kill me, go ahead..."
"Once he finished his statement, I began to get emotional. I started to tear up. 'I'm sorry... This is something terrible I...I just... Just all the emotions that were welled up inside me... I just couldn't think of another way to release them... My mind just immediately thought of murder...My mind thought murder was the best answer...I'm sorry, Dad...I'm sorry I did this to you...I just...I'm...I...'
"Before I could finish my thoughts, Father ran to me and hugged me with as much...love...as he could. 'It's okay, so there's no need to apologize...Everything's going to be okay now. We'll move in a week... but, for now, let's just cover your tracks so that no one gets suspicious...Let's hide the dead bodies."
"I looked at him with a smile "Ok, Dad."
"Shortly after that rather intimate moment with Father, we both got up from the floor, and we went to dispose of the bodies. To my surprise, we had to use quite the amount of bleach. Me and father were happy... even though there was a murder. As Dad said, we did move in a week. Specifically, we moved just to a town close to Dallas, and that little town was known as Grand Prairie, Texas. We didn't change identities or anything, but if anyone came to our house to find out about the little incident... Well...let's just say they're going to be missing..."
The whole time he has been telling his new lover of his old past, Anthony has been snuggling and holding tighter to the chubby, brown canine. Although his face was almost expressionless, the tiger's body language showed his fear of being judged. Tears did not come from his eyes for what he had done, but his heart trembled at the idea of the tanuskidoodle wanting to leave him for what he did in his former life.
Alexander looks into his lover's eyes and leans in, bringing their muzzles together in a gentle kiss. The toned feline brings up his arms and wraps them around his mate's neck. After breaking the kiss, the hybrid says in a loving voice, "It's ok. I was prepared for your past to be of such a magnitude of tragedy. The fact that your insanity level can reach so high is proof of that." The fat fur pulls the stripped big cat's head into his chest and lets the feline nestle in his swarm, soft moobs.
The couple lays in the bed and let the moments pass by in loving silence as reinforce their still-developing feelings with understanding and affection. Anthony purrs softly as Alexander strokes his headfur softly. Every now and then, the tiger would kiss and playfully nip at his tanuskidoodle's flabby pecks, eliciting a giggle from the canine.
Breaking the quiet, the hybrid asks, "Are you ready to listen to music, like we planned?"
The tiger nods and says, "Before that, though...do you...do you have something that happened in your past?"
Alexander turns his head to look out the window into the city lit night. Sky scrapers and street lights illuminate the sector of the high-tech city on all sides of the tiny apartment building. The tiger remains silent as his new mate collects his thoughts. They both know the recent discovery of insanity, the state of heightened power and disconnection from your emotions. Strangely, it was while in this temporary state of mind that the two discovered their affinity for each other and first made love before waking up in the very same bed they are currently in and realizing what happened the preceding night. It was then they talked to each other, explored how they felt, and realized that they wanted to give this thing a try. Alexander knows that he needs to lay his pain out for the tiger, just as Anthony did for him. After all, love is supposed to conquer all.
Returning his gaze to the feline, the tanuskidoodle declares, "I do...Although, I don't think it's as detailed and enthralling as yours."
"I still want to hear it," the orange fur kisses up Alexander's chest and places a lasting kiss on his muzzle. Their tongues perform a gentle yet fervent tango. After a mutual separation of their mouths, the canine heaves a sigh of preparation. Unconciously, Alexander's neural connection to his apartment activate, and the walls projected his story as recounted the events.
"I grew up in a valley, surrounded by mountains and forests and cut off from technology. It was quite different from the Transcendence world, where technology is everywhere: from the holographic projectors in these walls, to the exceedingly more advanced workings of headquarters. It was in that village that I grew up with a wolf cub by the name of Kazu. We met in our early cubhood years; I believe I was three. Some of my happiest memories were of us fishing and swimming together in the lake, camping together in the woods, and going on insect hunts in the woods.
"For twelve years, we were the best of friends. He knew everything about me, and I about him. We shared secrets, supported each other, and spared for him to practice his sword skills and me to practice my magic. We even showed each other a thing or two about our talents. I taught him how to focus his energy in his movements, and he showed me how to watch an opponent's movements to predict his or her next move. As I said, we were close. Right up until the day when everything changed. It was during one of our sparing matches when our elder brothers separated us, and I was brought to an audience with my father, who was the head of our village.
"There is something I should explain. For centuries, our families--mine and Kazu's--had always competed for headship of the village. There was an agreement established between the families: both families would have their third children fight to the death. This way, both families would have a first born to take over as heads of the main family and a second born to pick up the torch should something happen to the eldest offspring. This whole thing was a secret between the families, and no one in the village ever gave a single inkling about knowing anything.
"We never worried about it. We were the fourth-born children in our respective families and, therefore, left out of the agreement all together. Because of that fact, along with the system being so ancient, we never worried with it. To that end, we made a blood oath with each other. However, the third-borns in our families, my elder brother and his elder sister, eloped and left the village under cover of night a few days prior, and there was no sign of them. The fated day was rapidly approaching, so our parents agreed to have Kazu and I fight to the death instead. Our eldest brothers took us into separate parts of the mountains and trained us for the battle, which was postponed for six months. We were told that it was out of consideration for us. Ha!
"We didn't see each other for the entire period before the duel. I trained as hard as I could; it was a measure to appease my family's rigid since of honor. However, I didn't plan on following through and killing Kazu. I thought of every conceivable means that we could somehow avoid this, and I felt deep down that he was doing the same. I thought the fact that my mother was prostitute, whom my father conceived me with, would at least grant me immunity from having to fight my dearest friend. I was the youngest, and my elder sister's position as second born was deemed far too important and outweighed my hybrid and half-blood status.
"When the day came and I saw him for the first time since our separation, Kazu greeted me with a smile. We were allowed a few minutes alone to say our parting words for each other. I don't recall exactly what was said, but I do remember Kazu telling me that we needed to accept this and fight honorably. I felt betrayed then, but, looking back, he was probably the emotionally stronger out of the two of us.
"The next thing I remember is the sound of the gong when the battle started. He drew his sword and dashed towards me without batting his eyelash. I dodged with some success, but a takuni's cubby frame is not made for close range combat. I held a leaf in my paw and transformed it into a sword in time to block one of his slashes. He bore down on me and kicked my chest, sending me backward onto the ground. I managed to roll, avoiding a stab to my heart and summoned a few clonesto stall him, but his blade began to glow and he cut through all of them in one slash and sent me flying into a tree from the with an energy wave. He was a genius. He figured out how to combine his limited mana with excellent sword skill.
"He charged at me for a final blow as I recovered with my back to the tree.
From the impact of my body hitting the tree, many leaves were falling from its branches, and I reacted. I screamed, sending waves of magical energy from my body into the falling leaves and forcing each one to change into a dagger. Their increased weight and velocity caused them to fall faster and skewer him, head to toe from behind. He would've been in immense pain, but the five that pierced his brain killed him instantly. I am thankful that I didn't make him suffer.
"Fragments are all I have of the following days. I remember being lauded as a hero of the family. All I remember of the feast in my so-called "honor" is the smell of roasted chicken and my eldest brother admonishing me on not finishing the fight quicker. As I lay in bed that night, his scolding me was the only thing on my mind. 'What the fuck did he know? He wouldn't have to suffer the guilt...No one else in my family would...Their honor came from the sacrifice of my closest friend...the sacrifice of another life, something my siblings nor my parents had to do by their own hands. The only ones who could understand me are my uncle, his aunt, whoever was before her; and they all died in their duels, or left the village or committed suicide after winning...' I can only imagine that this is the root of my own insanity.
"From that point on I distanced myself from my family members and sequestered myself in my room. Despair, guilt, and anguish were my only companions. I ate and bathed less. My family had little to do with me. It made since: I served my purpose, and it was a shame to see me in my state, which was considered to be my own doing. I remember overhearing one of the servants saying that I would come out and rejoin society in my own time.
"One day, I did come out of my room. I ate and bathed as the servants cleaned my room from tatami floors to wooden ceiling. I went on a walk into the village alone. Servants pleaded with me to see my parents so that they could see my increased recovery. I said that I would see them after breathing in the village air. It was still early in the day, and most of the populace was still in bed. I walked out of the village gates ran as far as I could. To my knowledge, no one ever came looking for me...
"I did not want to see my family, who kept this archaic system in place for something so transient as "honor." I blamed everyone for what I had to do. Strangely, I couldn't blame my brother for running away, for I couldn't say that I wouldn't have done the same. As I ran, something crept into my psyche...'If I didn't kill Kazu for my family, why did I? Was his death meaningless because of me?' This thought repeated over and over through my many days and nights of running, until I got to this city. Then my thoughts had to turn to survival on the streets.
"Now that I'm financially secure, I find myself repeatedly thinking about why I killed him. I cannot find the meaning of his death, and it torments me. That's...That's...That's why I throw myself into my work...to momentarily silence the constant voices of guilt, despair, and anguish that followed me out of that village..."
Alexander cries into his lover's the tiger's toned chest as he holds his love tight. The feline simply holds the plump hound's head and skritches his ears reassuringly. "Shhhhh...Shhhh...Your past is safe with me...If the top brass found out about either of our pasts, they'd excommunicate and execute us, regardless of me being one of the higher ups of Research and Development or you being one of the best in the Investigation unit. However, It's not for that fact...I respect your past, just as you respect mine. I love you, Alexander."
"I love you too, Anthony!" is all he can manage through the outpour of emotions and tears. He raises his head to gaze into the big cat's eyes. He receives a much needed lip lock from the tiger, an act which elicits a soft moan of need and vulnerability from the hybrid. The kiss breaks, and Alexander, feeling the unbridled passion raise inside of him, declares. "Anthony, I want you to take me."
The feline cups his hand under his boyfriend's chin and asks in a concerned manner, "What do you mean?"
"I mean," Alexander began as a deep red blush overcame his face, "that I want to be the girl for you this time."
"Oh." Anthony blushes and clears his throat before speaking in a more manly voice. "Mi Amour, I'd be honored." He repositions himself over his chubby mate and leans in to kiss him passionately once more before they begin."
"Please...be gentle." The canine trembles slightly as he has never placed himself in this position before.
