The Moonweaver Chronicles Sidestories-Construction Delays
#2 of Sidestories
Last one for now :3
I continued to wait patiently until finally, Mazurek and Iggy had been gone for quite a while longer than they were supposed to have been. I was annoyed more than worried over them. They were strong and the area they had been sent to was supposedly not that dangerous. They must have started to slack off or something.
I was on the edge of a small clearing that was just big enough to fit the house and have some direct sunlight and a few other conveniences Rin had asked for or that I deemed would help, like a hatch that would Raptyr to leap out, in case he didn't want to use the door. Sometimes, the others seemed to think that I could just magically conjure things up, but that was nonsense, I merely shape existing materials into a more desirable form.
I had specifically requested that Mazurek and Iggy go to a spot where a particular type of tree was known to grow in great number. This tree, if you knew how to work with it, was capable of fusing itself to other things, if you knew how to use it. I had discovered this amazing property when working with it, even though the wood wasn't alive, it was capable of regenerating itself to a certain extent. One merely had to 'fool' the wood into thinking that it was damaged and it would 'mend' itself. The bark color tended to vary from tree to tree, the only way to really tell them was by having a keen nose. Iggy and Mazurek had gone together because Iggy had an extremely keen nose while Mazurek possessed a weapon capable of cutting them in just the right way to fell the trees.
Fusewood was durable and resistant to most elements to a degree beyond what might be required of it from day to day. I had gotten the other materials Id need though, a hard transparent substance that was able to let in sunlight but not rain, for instance. I ran over the design in my head, it wasn't going to be much more than a bunch of rooms and a roof. There would be a trap door in the floor which lead to some caves below, Rin had helped me clear them out and we enchanted some of the spots to be able to transport you instantly to certain places. The mess hall, the Atheneum, Mira's clinic and even the studio I use to work on various projects. I guess, on second thought, perhaps the house wasn't quite 'small'.
Finally, they both returned. Though they were walking on four legs as opposed to the normal two. They had grown lower bodies attached to their normal ones and I looked Iggy in the eyes, silently demanding an explanation for the delay and their strange state. They had collected the materials onto a cart I had designed for them and tied bound them to said cart. The material was fairly lightweight despite its remarkable strength and endurance. I noticed that Mazurek seemed to have taken quite a liking to Iggy while they were gone, it made me wonder if there was a connection to their lateness.
"Well you see Vincent, we went to go get the timber like you asked... but..." Iggy knew that I was feeling somewhat impatient, even while I mostly focused on sizing and shaping the tree trunks. They had delayed my schedule, so they at least owed me an interesting story to make up for it.
"Getting there was fine, we both managed to gather the trees fairly easily too, the weapon you made Mazurek worked like a charm." He was complimenting my work in the hopes that flattery might soften my mood. It was rather transparent. "But on the way back, Mazurek had to..." I stared at him again, looking away from my work and temporarily stopped cutting the logs. "Be excused temporarily from our journey...
"So anyway, I waited for a while before deciding to go look for him. To be honest, I didn't know how much time was appropriate. I stumbled on this weird scene where he was restrained. He also looked like..." I wasn't looking. I imagine Iggy had just indicated Mazurek, in his current state, a visual cue that was mostly lost on me. "They had kind of... violated him... though I couldn't tell if he found it unpleasant. I rushed to his aid, but... these two extra legs sprouted out of my waist and certain things got pushed back and before I knew it, I looked like this..." I can only guess the pause was to make another visual cue that I could not see.
"But then you saved him... obviously..." I asked, despite knowing that there was obviously more to this story. "or did you have trouble operating your new body?"
"Well... not right away..." he continued awkwardly, "I didn't have trouble adjusting to my body for some reason by the way. I just was overcame by this powerful lust for Mazurek and found myself... on top of his restrained body... riding him..." Iggy seemed suddenly shy. "I went at him hard, it was a really nice experience. The feelings passed eventually, after... a while... when I came to, the plants had mostly retreated. If it hadn't been for the scents and the transformation, I wouldn't have been entirely sure any of it happened...
"So yeah... we went for quite a while, it was pretty intensive and extremely pleasurable. I... kind of feel myself wanting to go back to be honest." I sighed and continued working on shaping the logs. They must have ran into plants that fed on and absorbed the various juices produced during sex, I had heard they existed but didn't really know much about where. Admittedly, I was more than a little curious and decided I might take someone there for a bit of fun sometime. I was annoyed and didn't really talk much. I was annoyed because of the delay and having to wait while they were having sex. This largely stemmed from the fact that I wish I had been there to join the fun though...
