Thirty Minutes Later
Yasmin pulled into the driveway of her home, putting the in park, popping the trunk before killing the engine "Hey Lin, do you mi-" Yasmin said but stopped when she looked up to see Lin running out the car and into the door. "...nd getting the bags." Yasmin deadpanned, sighing as she unbuckled her seatbelt. "Sheesh what got her in a such a rush?"
Frantically, Lin hurried to the bathroom, turning on the sink and splashing herself with cold water. The water instantly turned into steam before it could soak into her fur, forcing her to continue splashing herself with cold water. She almost didn't make it. Almost she thought about telling Yasmin to pull off to the side so they could get a little quickie in. Lin felt a bit sick at the thought. What would Yasmin think about her if she asked such a thing? One thing was for sure, it had something to do with that necklace, but Lin didn't want to tell Yasmin.
"I can do it. I can get control over myself. Just got to last until tomorrow," Lin muttered to herself as she turned the sink off before she looked into the mirror. She noticed a hint of something glowing in her eyes, but after blinking a couple of times, it was gone. Sighing, she turned to leave the bathroom and go apologize to Yasmin for suddenly running off.
Coming into the den, Lin saw Yasmin had already walked into the house, struggling slightly to carry everything by herself. "Here... I'll get that Yazzie," Lin sighed, walking over to Yasmin and taking all of the bags from her.
"Thanks Lin," Yasmin huffed as Lin took the bags, walking towards the kitchen. "Where you rushed off to in such a hurry anyways?"
"Sorry about that. I uh... needed to use the bathroom," Lin answered as she followed Yasmin to the kitchen. "I'm going to put this down on the bed, kay?"
"Okay," Yasmin answered as she opened up the refrigerator door. Her tail wagging thoughtfully behind her as she rummaged the fridge for something to drink. 'Monster no, Red Bull no, Gatorade, sheesh we got a lot of energy drinks in this thing,' Yasmin though as she bend over to look deeper on the shelf. "Hey Lin! Where the juice at?"
"Check in the bottom draw, and pour me a glass too," Lin called back from down the hall before she pushed open the door to the bedroom. She quickly placed the boxes of clothes on the bed with a small sigh. 'Oh man, a nap sounds pretty good right about now. Maybe that would- ' Lin's thoughts were cut off as she caught the sight of a book sitting on the dresser. She quickly recognized it as the book her mom sent to her earlier this weekend. It was a long shot, but maybe... "Couldn't hurt to look," Lin said as she walked over to the book, flipping through the table of contents. "D, d, d... dragon, drag- Ah-ha, where we go, page 83." Turning to the page, Lin started reading everything she could as she walked back from the bedroom slowly.
Yasmin closed the fridge with her hip as she turned to face the counter. She rest down the bottle and grabbed some glasses from the one of the cupboards. As she rested the glasses on the counter she spotted Lin walking out the hallway and reading a book, not paying attention where she was going. "You know walking and reading is a dangerous thing to do, right Lin?"
"Hm? Yeah," Lin blanky answered as she somehow made her way to the couch without tripping on anything. Her mind was far too busy reading the section of the book she was at. 'Let your mind wonder then focus? Huh, isn't that the complete opposite of what I want to do?' Humming to herself, she continued to read the book, trying to decode the message that it was obviously trying to send.
A few moments later, Yasmin walked out the kitchen with two glasses of juice and walked over to the living room. 'Lin is really nose deep in that book her mom got us,' she thought to herself as she use her magic to rest Lin's glass on the coffee table. 'Hmm, I wonder what she's reading?' Slowly Yasmin creeped up behind the back of sofa to Lin's side and started reading over her shoulder. As Yasmin continued to read over Lin' shoulder, she said to lean in closer and closer to Lin. Before either of them noticed their heads were side-by-side.
Not paying attention to Yasmin, Lin quietly began to read out loud. "A dragon's desire burns brightly in their chest, engulfing all other thought into one. From desire alone they draw their strength, their greed, their will, and their breath. Strength to make homes from the mountains. Greed to keep their desires focused. Will to bend the elements. Breath to convey their thoughts. The dragons are created from all these qualities, no part greater than the other. Thus a soul of the dragon is born. From this a creed is formed; a code that the dragon would sooner die than break. With this creed, a dragon's soul becomes focused and they find their destiny." Lin took a small breath as she closed her eyes and laid back on the couch, taking that moment to let everything she read sink in.
"Whoa, that's very spiritual," Yasmin said aloud, causing Lin yelp in surprise as she jumped from the couch. Yasmin snickered from Lin's reaction, before saying, "Sorry, I'll admit I was lost in the book too." Lin held her hand over her heart gave and Yasmin a death glare until she finally got her heart rate down from the scare. "So, you understand what the book is talking about Lin?" Yasmin asked as she took a sip of her juice.
"Honestly, not a damn word of this made any real sense," Lin sighed as she fell back into the couch, rubbing her temples. "It sure feels like it did. And I guess if I take the time to think about it, it will. But right now... I just feel tired." She closed the book laying it flat on the table in front of her as she reached a hand out to the glass she was just now noticing. Lin downed almost half of it in one go, suprised at how thirsty she was feeling all the sudden. Sighing even further, she swirled the juice in the glass around, mulling over what she read. "A desire that engulfs all other into one. What does that even mean?" After a few more moments of mulling over this, Lin soon gave up and downed the rest of her juice, sitting the empty glass back on the table as she went to lay down on the couch.
"I don't know either but the part with the code I think is a good place you might wanna start thinking from there," Yasmin said as she sat down next to Lin's head and rubbed her shoulder to comfort her.
Lin gazed at not particular spot on the ground, her eyes seemingly unfocused and glazed over. She thought about what Yasmin was saying. A code, a creed to live her life by. Something solid for her mind and body to work towards. As she continued to lose herself in these thoughts, Lin's eyes started to grow heavier. "A dragon's code." She yawned as she tried fighting back the sleepiness that was overtaking her all the sudden. 'Wh-why am I so sleepy? No, I'm not ready yet. I gotta... I gotta figure this... out.' Lin's eyes feel to rest that very moment, her body and mind tired.
Yasmin continued to softly rub Lin's shoulder as she felt Lin's weight on her shoulder. 'I guess all the action today tired her out,' Yasmin thought with a smile, leaning down to place a soft kiss on to side of Lin's head. 'I guess it won't be a bad idea to join in,' Yasmin thought as she gently wrapped her arms around her midsection, turning her over as she pulled Lin and herself down into the corner of the left side. Lin murmured something in her sleep, causing Yasmin to giggle as she lightly played with her hair. After weaving her fingers in Lin's purple hair, Yasmin hooked her leg around Lin's with a comfortable sigh, closing her eyes as she start to join Lin in her peaceful slumber.
Two hours later
'Why is it so hot?' Annoyed, Yasmin slowly woke up from her nap. She stretched her back with a yawn. She lazily looked down at Lin who's still sleeping, quickly smiling from the sight. 'I guess you're still tired huh?' She patted her head, but she pulled her hand back when realised how hot Lin's forehead felt. 'Sheesh, Lin you're really burning up,' Yasmin thought with a slightly worry. 'Wait, calm down Yasmin. Lin's body going through some changes and... a higher body temp could be one of them?' Yasmin assured herself, still worried for Lin.
"Maybe, I should get the thermometer just in cause," she said aloud as she started to wiggle herself out from Lin's grasp, which was harder than usual. As soon as she got free she walked around the couch and down the hall to the bathroom. Soon she returned with the thermometer only to be meet with a shocking surprise. The purple stripe of Lin's tail was set alight with purplish-pink flames. Yasmin's eyes widened fear as she dropped the thermometer. "LIN!" she cried out at the top of her lungs. Out in a panic, she frantically ran for the fire extinguisher.
Lin wasn't even given the chance to begin stirring awake, missing her lover's presence. "Ugh, Yasmin?" she murmured before she felt a freezing cold blast at her tail. She let out a loud shriek that sounded painful. She leaped over to the other side of the couch to get away from whatever had caused her discomfort. "What the HELL was that?!" Lin shouted, poking her head over the couch to see Yasmin holding a used fire-extinguisher in her hand with the look of pure horror on her face. "Yasmin, like, what the actual fuck? If you wanted me to get up you should've just shook my shoulder or something. Why do you have the fire-extinguisher anyway? Don't you know that stuff is dangerous to play around with? And why... why do you look so scared?" Lin's voice trailed off at the end, having only seen Yasmin this scared once before. She stood up from the floor, unaware of her tail still lit with the same fire Yasmin tired to put out. "Yasmin, what's the matter with you?"
"Y-y-your t-t-tail!" Yasmin yelled out as she used the fire-extinguisher to try spray Lin's tail again cause Lin to yelp out in shock as the cold foam hit her legs instead.
"Rah! Damnit Yasmin, quit playing around with that thing!" Lin shouted as she quickly, much quicker than she thought she could, rushed around the entire couch, got behind Yasmin before she could turn around, and yanked the extinguisher out of her hands. She threw it to far right corner of the couch, placing her hands on her hips as she glared angrily at Yasmin. "Alright, now what in Cerberus' great name are you going on about?"
"Your fucking tail's on fire!" Yasmin yelled out as she started to cry.
Lin quickly soften her expression when she saw tears welling up in Yasmin's eyes, her words still not sinking in just yet. "Yasmin, calm down," Lin said slowly as she reached a hand out towards Yasmin's shoulder, frowning when she flinched from the touch. "You're not making any sense right now Yasmin. How can my tail be on fire? It's fine see..." Her voice trailed as she got a look of what Yasmin was so scared about. Her tail was indeed on fire, or at least the purple strip and tip were. However, Lin didn't feel it. It wasn't hot, didn't even feel cold. Almost felt like it belonged, which scared her more than her tail actually being on fire.
"Okay... okay. My tail is on fire. Bu-but I'm fine Yasmin. It doesn't hurt and it's not even hot. See?" She tried to convince Yasmin by moving her tail up to her hand. Lin turned back to Yasmin to see that she was still scared but at least no longer on the verge of tears. "Alright, let's calm down for a second. If a fire-extinguisher couldn't put it out, after two - not one - two bursts, we can see that this isn't some normal fire. Right?"
"...Y-yes," Yasmin said between sobs, her voice raising as she continued. "B-but how is it on fire? I might like Pokemon but it not cool when I wake up and my girlfriend's tail is on fire like a Quilava!"
"Yasmin, calm down and stop making Pokemon references for a second. I didn't enjoy being attacked like was the freaking Hindenburg's baby sister you know," Lin restored as she rubbed her temples, taking a seat on the corner of the couch with her tail carefully raised up just in chance. "Guh, got way too much of a headache to deal with this now." Her face cringe as her head started to throb even harder. Rather it was from the commotion that awoken her or was it from trying to figure out that passage. Either way, her head was starting to hurt a lot worse. And then her stomach decided to make itself known. "Grrr, I can't think with this thing barking at me!" she complained holding her stomach.
Yasmin looked at Lin dumbfounded for a few moments before Lin's stomach rumbled loudly again. Slowly, she started to smirk. "You mean to tell me," Yasmin softly giggled at Lin. "Even after everything that just happened. You're still thinking about food?"
As she went to retort, her stomach gave another loud growl, forcing Lin to double over while holding her midsection. "Ahh, it's not funny Yasmin, this really hurts for some reason," Lin whined as she laid back onto the couch. She was forced to bite her lower lip as she was hit with a sensation of stomach growls, each one feeling more painful than the last. Thankfully, she was given a moment of breath as the hunger pains slowly subsided. "Yasmin, help? Please?"
Yasmin stopped giggling when she heard Lin's plea. "Uh..." Yasmin looked around the den, spotting the sacks of candy on the kitchen counter. She figured that they wouldn't do much with how loud Lin's stomach was. "I know it not much, but I know there's gotta be something in the kitchen," Yasmin said as she rushed into the kitchen. She rummaged the cupboards and cabinets for at least something to eat for Lin. Even raided the fridge to find something, but sighed when she realized that wouldn't help right now. 'Shit, can't use anything from the fridge. It'd take too long to heat up.' Yasmin shut the door before she moved above the stove to checked the pantry. "Ah-ha, found something," Yasmin said, reaching for the object out of the pantry then rushing back to Lin. "Hope this help?" she said hopefully holding a box of poptarts in front of Lin.
Lin looked up at the box of cherry poptarts, gritting her teeth. She had hoped it be something with a bit more girth with it like meat, but right now she could care less. "I hope so too," she grunted, reaching up to the box as she propped herself on the couch. She flopped back onto the couch before turning around to sit up. Her pointer-finger claw made quick work of the cardboard top, opening it up as she reached inside to pull out one of the pastry treats.
Quickly undoing the thin foil around the poptart Lin went to eat it but stopped right has she was about to shove it into her. 'Wait... doesn't sugar burn really hot? So wouldn't th-' Her thoughts were caught off with a grunt as her stomach again demanded for fuel. Throwing caution to the wind, Lin shoved the highly sugary treat in her mouth, eating it in a rather unlady-like manner. One she was finished, Lin licked her lips as her body accepted the food.
"Huh, that went a whole lot better than I -" A rumble from Lin's lower gut cut Lin's words off. She again hugged herself tight, doubling over on the couch. Lin felt a familiar feeling flaring up in her stomach. However, this feeling was almost twice than any other she had felt before. Unbeknownst to her, the flame on her tail had grown larger while she was eating the poptart and was now threatening to cover over her entire tail. She gulped heavily, lifting herself off the couch. "Y-Yasmin... th-the door. O-open up the door."
"Uh...ok," Yasmin said raised an eyebrow in confusion as she processed Lin's weird request. She walk over to the front door and open but before Yasmin could asked why Lin rushed passed her.
Lin almost didn't make it out of the house in time to tilt her head back and let loose a large torrent of white-hot fire. Her fist clenched at around her sides while she was forced onto her tippy-paws, her eyes clenched shut and her body trembling. The light snow cover on the ground started to melt and immediately evaporate around Lin's feet. Her flames towered high over some of the other homes that rested in the curved hill of Yasmin's neighborhood before slowly dying down. Once it ended, Lin fell to her knees on the ground, heavily breathing.
"Sweet Cerberus, Lin!" Yasmin yelled out as she rushed over to Lin. She quickly scooped Lin up from the ground as she fell over on her side. Fear, anxiety, and worry quickly took over Yasmin's mind as she looked down to her panting lover. She bit back tears and brought her back inside. After slamming the door shut, she pressed her back to the door. Slowly, Yasmin slid down to the ground with Lin tightly held in her arms. Lin was still breathing heavily as her tail was still lit after the huge fireball lin let out into the afternoon sky.
Lin's mind hadn't registered that she was in being cuddled in Yasmin's arms until she faintly heard soft sobbing. She slowly moved her head up to see Yasmin's teary face. "Y-Yazzie... wh-whatcha crying for?" she asked, a series of weak coughs following straight after. Lin took a moment to heavily breath as Yasmin's arms tightened their grip around her. It made Lin happy to know that no matter what, Yasmin would always be there for her. But she also was upset with herself for making Yasmin worry so much. Lin reached her hands up to Yasmin's arms, pulling herself out of Yasmin's chest to look the hound in her teary eyes. "St-stop crying you. I-I'm fine, honest."
"No, you're not Lin. Everything today started out great, you brought me breakfast in bed, and... and we had a great morning," Yasmin sobbed, sniffling as she thought back to how romantic and peacefully this morning was for her. "But, as soon as we went the mall everything started to just going downhill. Lin, I think we should call your mom again," she said as she looked into Lin's tired violet eyes.
"You c-can't say that everything was bad at the mall," Lin retorted with a choked giggle, bringing a hand to gently cup Yasmin's cheek, wiping away Yasmin's tears. "Stop crying, Princess. it's my own fault for thinking my body wouldn't react to the sugar in that poptart." Yasmin sniffled a couple of more times, still looking sadden and frustrated for how their day was turning out. Sighing, Lin leaned closer towards Yasmin, placing a kiss on top of her forehead before moving down to her lips while her arms wrapped around her neck. Lin parted, resting her head down on top of Yasmin's shoulder to whisper, "Come on, cheer up. Let's fix up some baloney sandwiches. I'm fairly sure meat is the way to go right now anyways."
Yasmin wrapped her arm around Lin's back, holding her close and nuzzling into Lin's chest as she closed her eyes. Lin didn't seem to mind the long hug, allowing her to take the time she needed to stop her crying. Eventually, Yasmin stopped sniffling and wiggled out of Lin's embrace. "Hold on Lin, I got a better idea."
An hour later
Yasmin and Lin were laying down on the couch, listening to some smooth jazz. After the stressful events an hour ago, they decided that freshening up would be a good idea. Lin laid on top of Yasmin, wearing nothing but an oversized blue t-shirt that covered down to her thighs. Her head rested on top of Yasmin's chest with her eyes closed as she again drifted off. For her benefit, Yasmin let Lin sleep as she rustled Lin's purple hair. She was wearing a black tanktop with a lavender pajama pants that comfortably hugged her hips.
The fire in her tail still remained alight but it was far more tame than it was an hour or so ago. Whether or not it was because of the calmness of the room or Lin had used much of it during her spout of fire earlier. Yasmin was still shaken up about it but she did her best not to think about the what if's. Right now is all that mattered. Lin was in her arms safe, Her dragon heritage tamed, and for the first time since this morning she felt at peace with everything.
A little jazz every now and again always helped calm the nerves as well. But the mellow music was broken by the doorbell ringing. "Took him long enough to get here. Hey Lin you wanna answer the door?"
"Mhmm," Lin said as she awakened. She slid off of Yasmin and started walking towards the door, curious as to what the hound was up too. One minute she's freaking out about how the day went far south, the next she's saying that they should postpone their movie date until tomorrow, and now she was expecting someone. Lin wasn't going to lie, everything that's happened today has been taking her by surprise with each step, but she was slowly understanding it.
Once she was at the door, mumbling under her breath as her stomach again growled furiously, Lin opened the door to find that it was the same tan and black haired Lynx that she embarrassed in front of his friends. "What are you doing here, kid?" Lin asked, pulling his attention away from Yasmin's car.
He opened his mouth to answer, but just started staring at Lin when he noticed that her tail was imitating a tame looking purple flame. "Uh... You do know that your tail is on fire, right?" Jax asked, pointing towards Lin's swishing tail.
The half-breed irritatedly sighed as she moved her tail out of the doorway so the teenager would stop staring at it. "Now what do you want kid? How did you figure out where we live first of all?"
"Uh, your friend called me and told me? I'm here to keep the end of our 'bet,'" Jax respond as he lifted a large bag of Chinese food. "She told me to pick this up and deliver it for you two."
"She did huh?" Lin looked back inside of the den at Yasmin, who was laying down on her side with an innocent look on her face. "Well then thanks, kid. Sorry if my girlfriend caused you any troubles. Want some candy or whatever? We have more than we should."
'Ooh... so they really don't go that way. Man, now I feel like a- Wait, candy? What am I? A nine year old?' Jax snapped out of his thoughts, shaking his head a little. "N-nah, I'm good," he answered, handing the bag to Lin. "So uh, you two really do swing on the other side of the barn. Heh, I thought you were just trying to blow me off. S-sorry about that then." He bowed his head slightly towards Lin while his hand stretched at the back of his head, catching Lin off her guard. "I know how this is going to sound, but I was just trying to look big in front of the guys and well that came back in my face didn't it?"
Lin shook her head, laughing a little bit. This whole time Lin had thought he was just another jock that was smelling himself a bit too much. It surprised her when it turned out that he did have a modest and well-matter side of him. "Don't worry about it. Really, Yasmin and I were trying to bait a few guys - mostly girls for me - into approaching us. So sorry about that."
Jax's ears twitched at this, muttering, "Oh..." underneath his breath as he blushed from embarrassment. He hadn't thought of that and knowing it oddly made him feel better about the whole situation. Especially since the two hounds could've done a lot worse. "Know what, it's fine. Really. Guess that's just another thing to be cautious about when looking for a mate, huh?"
"Mhmm. Just remember to be yourself man. Honestly, chicks love stuff like that," Lin said as she playfully nudge him with a fist on his rather lean shoulder. "And don't ever believe every movie you see. Those are not the best way to pick up a girl. In fact, it's the worst way possible."
"R-right, be honest. I can do that, thank you ma'am."
"Respectful too. You'll definitely earn some points with that," Lin joked with a quick laugh as she got ready to close the door, seeing that it was starting to get late and figuring that Jax would want to go home. "Be seeing you around, Jax. Get home safe, and be sure to look both ways."
"Y-yeah... thanks." Lin giggled at her joke, getting ready to close the door but was stopped by Jax, calling out, "Hey, uh, wait."
"Hm?"
"U-uh, if you don't mind me asking, who's R35 is that?" Jax asked, again looking towards Yasmin's car. He turned his head sideways to get a better look.
Lin giggled, having a feeling that she would be right to say that Jax is a car guy. "What, you mean the car? That would be Yasmin's. She calls him Brad. And he's possibly the only 'guy' she'd call a good looker."
Jax paused for moment before he started laughing along with Lin, rubbing the back of his head doing so. "Heh, yeah. Always wanted to see one in person. An-anyway, have a nice dinner with your girlfriend. Again, sorry for being a jerk."
"And sorry for leading you on like that, it wasn't cool. See ya, Jax. Stay safe kid," Lin said with a nod to the Lynx. However, before she closed the door, Lin stopped him by calling out to him. "Hey Jax."
Jax immediately stopped walking to his car to see what the hound wanted. "Yes?"
"That green drake that was with you in the mall, by any chance do you have his phone number?" Lin asked. There was something Yasmin was right about. Their day was a whole lot better until Lin had ran into that drake and the necklace he gave her. She still didn't know how he knew she had dragon blood in her, but the only of learning that was finding away to speak with him.
"Uh, who, Jadquillain?" Jax answered, walking closer to the door.
Lin cracked the door a bit close she could speak with the lynx a bit better without Yasmin hearing. "That's his name? The green one with the two Persian cats hovering under him."
"Yup, that's Jade alright." Jax nodded, feeling jealous that the drake was able to get two mates when he couldn't even get one. "Nice guy. Dunno where he went after he left the mall though. Really weird for him to just bounce like that."
"Right, weird. Anyway, do you have his cell phone number, even a house number?" Lin asked again.
"Uh, yeah, do you want me to send it to your girlfriend's phone or..."
"No, just send it to mine." Jax nodded his head as Lin began telling him her phone number. She waved the teenager home, telling him to drive safe and remember what she told him before closing the door. She turned to find Yasmin still laying on the couch with a grin on her face. Shaking her head, Lin asked, "Did you seriously make Jax pay for all of this?" as she walked over to the couch to take a seat.
"You remember the terms of the bet. He shoulda pay for all it," Yasmin said with a grin. "But, I paid for it over the phone I just made him pay a twenty 'tip' through."
"Aw well isn't that sweet of you," Lin said with a smile as she leaned over, giving Yasmin a quick peck on the lips. However the quick peck unexpectedly turned into a long, passionate kiss. The fire on Lin's tail grew slightly, seeming to be reacting to Lin's body chemistry. She moaned and shuddered lightly, feeling a bit more sensitive than usual as her hand came on top of Yasmin's thigh before she finally parted away from her. Both hounds panted slightly from the sudden heat rushing through them, their eyes locked on the others until Lin turned away. "S-sorry, I don't know where that came from."
"I think I have an idea where," Yasmin teased as she collected her breathe. "But, how bout we start to dig in on this lovely food instead?"
Lin blinked once or twice before she remembered about the food. "Oh right, I-I'll go get the forks and something to drink," she said as she got up from the couch and started to walk off before Yasmin could answer. Odd, for the last hour, all her body would remind her of was food. But when she was spending a passionate moment with Yasmin she seemed to had forgotten that fact. Question was, why? 'Great, another piece to a puzzle I have no clue what the picture is. There's gotta be something I'm missing.' Lin thought about it a bit more as she opened up the draw to fish out two forks, closing it to reach the fridge.
'Strength to make homes from the mountains, greed to keep their desires focused, will to bend the elements, and breath to convey their thoughts. Well... when I think about it, I have been acting a bit greedy lately. My strength has been getting harder to manage. But what about the last last two?' Lin quietly sighed, she closed the door to the fridge with her foot, holding two tall cans of cherry and grape soda in her hands. There was something she was definitely missing. That, or she she was over thinking something.
Whatever it is, she wasn't going to let this whole mess ruin what was left of her day with Yasmin. Enough of it was spent on it as is. "I'm back, got you ya favorite Yasmin," Lin said with a cheery smile as she handed Yasmin the grape soda and fork. "And I got you a drink too."
"Sweet and thanks, Lin." Yasmin said taking the fork and drink in her hands. She rest the soda on the table, picked up some of the takeout and started to dig in. "Mmm, here Lin try this," Yasmin said giving Lin a forkful of her food. Lin lean toward Yasmin to eat some of the food she offered her, but got hesitant. "Lin? What happened earlier is still in your mind huh?"
"After breathing a river of white-hot fire, how can it not?" Lin asked jokingly, trying to keep the situation light hardened. "Lemme see how I react to this first." She raised her fork with a small portion of lo mein noodles, bringing it to her mouth and began slowly chewing. 'Well, no immediate reactions. Let's see if I can actually eat it though.' Reluctantly, Lin swallowed the food after chewing on it for several moments and waited several moments to see if anything changed. She lifted her tail up to see the flame had fluctuated a little, but quickly died down to it's tame levels. "Guess I can eat Chinese, just got to do it slowly. What you think?"
"I think we should eat before the food gets cold. Oh, and you should call your mom," Yasmin suggested before shoveling some of the fried shrimp in her muzzle.
"Can't remember? She's still halfway around the world right now," Lin said as she continued slowly eat, keeping a watchful eye on her tail. She continued for a moment, growing a bit more confident that the food she was eating now won't cause a sudden ration inside of her. "Y'know, apart of me can't help but feel that she somehow plans this out. I mean, first, she waits until I'm 'fully grown' to tell me about my dragon magic and now, she takes a trip with Dad around the whole world and sends a bunch of stuff that could possibly trigger further growth in my dragon-blood. Is it just me, or are we just playing into her hands with this stuff?"
"Yeah, your mom was always thinking like twenty steps ahead," Yasmin noted, taking up some lo mein. "Now that I think 'bout it, you think she knew about your feelings for me?"
Lin shrugged her shoulders as she supped up her food before speaking. "Doubt it. As far as she knew before we hooked up was that you were a close friend. And from the look Dad gave me when I told him that you were a girl and not a guy, he didn't know either. But something is telling me that she knew. Mother's intuition and all that stuff."
"Yeah, I wouldn't put it passed her," Yasmin sighed before a thought popped in her head. "Oh wait, didn't she say that you and your sister uh... Min would have her magic? Don't you think she might know how to deal with this?"
A short snort came from Lin as she started chewing on her fork, her tail beating down against the couch behind her, the flame dancing in an angry performance. She growled in a sigh as she picked up a fried shrimp. "Well... Mom did say that I got my magic going before hers, which still surprises me, but I dunno. I have no doubt that Min would be able to learn and figure stuff out a hella lot faster than me. She so pretentious though... I don't think I'll be able to handle that right now."
Yasmin sighed. "Hmm, so what can we do then?"
"Like I said in the ice-cream shop, I'm going to have to spend some time in the library to learn anything myself." Lin sighed, having the strangest feeling that the library wouldn't be much help as she was hoping it would. "Though, at least I have this to help point me in the right direction," she said, picking up the book her mother sent off the table before dropping it back down and picking up her drink. "But it still kinda scares me to even open it up again." Her voice was muffled by the lid of her can, but her eyes clearly showed her worry.
Yasmin pulled Lin close into a sideways hug. "And like I said at the ice cream shop, This isn't a burden that you should carry by yourself Lin. I'm here to help you in anyway possible." she she give lin a kiss on her muzzle.
"Thank you Yasmin, it means a lot to know that... I'm not going in... alone. Shit," Lin sighed as she brought a hand to her face and started to drag it down, a wave of guilt washing over her. "And NOW I feel guilt. Great, awesome, because I totally want this feeling right now."
Yasmin raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Guilty for what? You thought you was going through this by yourself?"
"That's what I'm guilty of Yasmin," Lin answered with another sigh, falling onto the couch with a soft thud. "I have you to love and support me, which I am really grateful for. But Min doesn't. She may be smart, but she's also a spaz when something comes up like, well, this!" Lin waved her hand over her tail, pointing out her tail and the fire that was coming from it. "And then there's what I was just about to do. I was going to leave my own sister to deal with this possibly by herself. That's worse than anything they've done to me times ten! And Min wasn't even that much of a problem growing up. She's just too full of herself really."
Lin rubbed the top of her forehead, all this worrying giving her another headache. 'Calm down Lin-Lin,' she thought to herself, sitting back up and shaking her head. "I'm going to have to give her a call in the morning. It's been almost a half a year since I've seen her. That's going to be fun."
Yasmin giggled. "Yeah, I bet that would be an interesting phone call." Lin groaned, taking another large sip of her drink before heavily placing it back down on the table. Yasmin playfully patted Lin on the shoulder, smiling. "Oi, relax Lin. It ain't gonna be that."
"Yeah, I hope you're right," Lin agreed, laughing at Yasmin a little. It certainly was better than acting pessimistic about it. "Who knows, Min properly has changed. And if she's at least starting to go through what I am, then she'll have to help me out if she want to stand a lick of a chance. But let's save that for later, right now, it's just us." She picked her drink back up, holding up towards Yasmin. "Cheers Yasmin, to a mate I couldn't even dream for."
"Yay, cheers to me." Yasmin giggled as she tapping cans with Lin.
The hybrid giggled before they went back to eating peacefully together. Lin soon found a spot underneath Yasmin, cuddling against her as they turned the TV to watch a few movies while continuing to eat their fill of tonight's bounty of food. All the while, Lin was taking the time to think about what has happened today. This time though she spent more time thinking about what the book said, as one phase sunk deeper than the rest. 'A creed, a code, to live by.' Lin looked up towards Yasmin, softly smiling before she turned her head back to the television and snuggling closer to her. 'I promise to make you smile every day, my love.'
A few more moments passed as they continued to stay in each other's warm embrace before Lin's ears twitched at the faintest sounds of a deep inhale of breath and a yawn coming from Yasmin. "Welp, it's a Princess' bedtime," she giggled as she slid from Yasmin's tired arms, gathering what was left of their dinner and putting it in the refrigerator, while her tail wrapped around the empty soda cans and carried all of it to the kitchen where she began to put everything away.
She returned to the couch to find that Yasmin had fell on the couch with a lazy looking expression on her face. "Come on you, get up." Yasmin refused to move, acting like a little pup that didn't want to go to bed. Lin merely giggled as she rolled her eyes, moving to hook her arms underneath Yasmin's legs and back, lifting her off the couch and began carrying her to the bedroom.
As Lin carried Yasmin down the hall, her eyes trailed over the jade necklace around Yasmin's neck, bring back the same heat to Lin's chest. 'Oh great, this again. Well, if letting it control me was bad and fighting it almost ripped me apart. I should just go with it then?' With nothing to lose, Lin gave the back of Yasmin's leg a squeeze to get her to wake up. "Hey, hey, don't you know it's rude to fall asleep on someone when they are about to pay back a favor?"
Yasmin slowly stirred from her tired mind, wrapping her arms around Lin's neck. "Hmm and what favor is that?"
"Oh don't act like you remember," Lin giggled as she gave Yasmin's thigh another squeeze. "I still owe you for letting me hump your ass unconscious. And a promise is a promise." She opened the door to their bedroom, carrying Yasmin to the bed. Where she promptly dropped Yasmin on the bed.
Yasmin plopped on the bed with a small yelp. "You do not drop a princess like that." She propped herself up on her elbows looking at Lin indignantly with a blush on her face. "Be glad it you and not some stranger," Yasmin huffed before looking off to the side.
"Don't be like that Yazzie," Lin giggled as she slowly started to crawl on top of Yasmin, pinning her arms down to the bed above her head. She loomed over the hound as her cheeks started to burn a brighter shade of red. A heat rose in Lin chest as she stared down at Yasmin's blushing cheeks, causing her tail to give out a vibrant hue of pink flames. "When I'm done, you'll would have forgotten about that. Promise, love," Lin whispered as she brought her muzzle down to Yasmin's neck and started taking rough licks with her tongue.
Yasmin moaned and wiggled underneath Lin as she continued to take hard licks and soft nips of her neck. "Mmm, that's a threat or - ah!" Yasmin's voice become caught in her throat as Lin trailed a long lick up the front of her neck. "...promise, mi conquistador (my conqueror)
?"
Lin continued her lick up Yasmin's jawline before raising up over her. "Silly Yasmin. You of everyone should know I don't waste time making threats. Now hold still little puppy," she added with a quick peck on Yasmin's nose before she started trailing kisses down Yasmin's muzzle and neck. Lin shifted her hands around Yasmin's wrist, taking hold of both of them with one hand so the other would be free to travel down Yasmin's body. Slowly, it made it to it's intended target of the side of Yasmin's chest, cupping her breast while she bit along Yasmin's collarbone
"You always like to nip me like your personal chewy toy," Yasmin writhed with a giggle underneath Lin's grasp. Lin's hand slowly sliding down her body getting her more aroused for what Lin had in mind.
Taking another nibble of Yasmin's collarbone, Lin have Yasmin's breast a firm squeeze, erecting a moan out of Yasmin. Lin moved further down, placing a kiss at the bottom of Yasmin's collarbone before whispering, "Because you make the best chew toy, Yasmin." Her hand traveled down to the hem of Yasmin's tank top, lifting it just above her breasts. Lin's journey down Yasmin's body resumed. She spend a generous amount of time in the valley of Yasmin's cleavage, kissing around her breasts and hardened nipples as a tease to Yasmin. Her other hand soon joined its sister at Yasmin's breast so she could keep moving down.
Yasmin shuttered as Lin slowly left a trail of kiss and nips down toward her pajamas. Lin swiftly pulled them down making Yasmin gasped as she felt Lin's hot breathe on the wet spot through her black panties. She whined as Lin rubbed her slit through the damp spot. Her legs tremble with anticipation as Lin's claws dragged up her thighs.
"Gonna make you all nice and wet before we really start," Lin said as she continued to graze the inside of Yasmin's thigh with one hand while the other continued to tease her slit. Yasmin responded with a moan when Lin pressed her fingers against the thin fabric of her panties. She wasn't the only one that was starting to get aroused as Lin's tail started to rise up above her head, waving hypnotically side to side and flickering its bright pink embers in the air.
Moving the black veil of fabric to the side, Lin blew a hot shot of steam at the wet pussy lips, causing Yasmin's back to arch and her body to shiver. The hot wave of heated breath managed to force Yasmin's clit out from under its hood, exposing it to the open air of the room. Lin giggled from this before she moved her muzzle closer to Yasmin's quivering lips and gave them a slow lick, flicking her tongue over the hard love button of her lover.
Gasps and moans filled Lin's ears as she continued her slow mendations on Yasmin, causing more of her juices to flow out. Breathing hotly on Yasmin again, Lin leaned back, erecting a disappointed whine from her shuddering princess. "Roll over, you majesty. I still have a bit of work to do before you're ready."
Yasmin complied with Lin's request, rolling herself over propping herself up onto her hands and knees. She softly cooed as Lin's claws dug into her soft plump cheek. Yasmin raised her tail giving Lin a pure view of her light beige belly fur that lead towards her leaking black petals.
After licking her lips clean of her drool and Yasmin's juices, Lin spared Yasmin's plump hunches apart before she dived back into her depths. Her licks remained long and forceful, enough to part Yasmin's lower lips slightly. The familiar and welcomed taste of pomegranate hit her tongue with this tangy, powerful kick. She growled as a hunger for more of it started to well up inside of Lin. To stain her hunger, Lin pressed one of her thumbs against Yasmin's puckered tailhole, causing her pussy lips to clench before relaxing again.
Yasmin moaned as Lin's fingers and tongue continued their two pronged assault on her body. Her arms and legs feeling weak from the pleasure traveling up her spine. Slurps and soft moans rebound around their room. Yasmin's arms finally cave as she collapsed onto her chest, panting hard from Lin's ministration on her lips and taint.
Finally done with teasing Yasmin, and giving into her greed a little, Lin pushed her tongue inside of Yasmin's quivering folds. She swirled her tongue around Yasmin's petals, erecting a deep moan out of Yasmin. The sweet tangy taste Yasmin carried intoxicated Lin as her senses were drowned in pleasure. Lin pushed her muzzle deeper into Yasmin's soaking muff while her hands continued to grope and prod at her ass.
"Mmm, deeper- ahh -Lin, yes~" Yasmin moaned out as Lin's tongue drove deeper into her soaked walls. Her toes curl and her back arch in ecstasy as Lin's tongue hit her sweet spot. 'I shouldn't be the only one that feels this good. Lin deserves to feel as good as she makes me,' she thought to herself while looking over her shoulder at Lin, her the runes on her back and wrist started to glow. Slowly her magic flowed around Lin's body encasing her like a pig in a blanket. Lin's movements hesitated as Yasmin's spell took hold. she moaned as she felt pleasure shot through her body. Lin felt like a something was licking her deep in her wet flower as her tight bud felt like it getting prodded.
"H-hope you like that," Yasmin said, looking back over her shoulder.
It didn't take half a brain for Lin to figure out what Yasmin did. She licked her lips clean before taking in a deep breath. Yasmin squealed as Lin blew a hot steam on her moist lips, causing Lin herself to moan from the empathy spell Yasmin was using. Smirking, Lin rose from behind Yasmin, reaching for the hem of her t-shirt and pulling it off of her body. She sighed once the fabric was removed, allowing her modest breasts to be exposed to the cool air of the room.
"Clever Yasmin, really clever," Lin said in a voice that wasn't all of her own. Her tone was lower, far more seductive than it usually would be and it carried a sort of weight, almost authoritative. Lin notice the power her voice was carrying and one look in Yasmin's eyes told her that she also noticed it as well. Grinning lustfully, Lin reached for the hair clip that kept her hair tied up, allowing the full length of her purple hair to fall just past her shoulders. "I didn't think you'd be able to cast a spell like this. And something tells me that you made this completely one-sided no doubt. Oh, well. More fun for me I suppose."
Before Yasmin could question what Lin had meant, she quickly grabbed her leg and flipped her over to her side. With her leg still being held up in the air, Lin was able to look down into Yasmin's depths, giggling lustfully as she straddled Yasmin's leg while hooking the other one over her shoulder. Lin gave an experimental buck of her hips to see how well this position would work. The result was a soft moan coming from Yasmin, which soon flowed out of Lin.
"Oohh, this works a lot better than I thought it would," Lin said as she continued to slowly grind her womanhood against Yasmin's, gradually picking up the pace.
"Mmm, w-what that supposed to mean?" Yasmin crooned as Lin ground their wet sex together making her grasp and write in Lin's grasp. Lin's moans followed Yasmin as teased her harden nipple. 'D-damn she going at like she's...' Yasmin thought to herself. "L-lin?"
Yasmin's wet slit pressed against her's felt utterally amazing, and Lin was beginning to question why they haven't been doing more of this when Yasmin's question finally pierced through the thick covering of fog in her mind. Lin blinked a couple of times before looking down at Yasmin cupping her breasts. A smirk grew on her lips as she unhooked Yasmin's leg from over her shoulder, making Yasmin lay flat on her back. "Yes Yasmin, my love, what is it?" she asked in a coy tone of voice.
"Y-ou still at the helm or ah, Miss. Scales took control?" Yasmin asked with guttural moan as Lin tugged at the tail. Yasmin hissed in pleasure with a slight dab of dull pain. Lin's back arched as she felt the sting of Yasmin's phantom spell.
Lin's head tilted a little to the side as she giggled. "No silly. There's no one else in my skull to take me over anyway. You're just stuck with me, lover mine," she said as she bent over on top of Yasmin, grabbing her arms and pinning them to the bed as she furiously kiss Yasmin. Her eyes locked on to Yasmin's before closing to enjoy the silky softness of her lips.
'That's good to know...' Yasmin thought to herself with a soft giggle as she melted into Lin's kiss. Her tongue and maul getting dominated by Lin's as she sank deeper into the bed by their pulling more pressure and pleasure on her body driving her closer to her peak. Yasmin panted as she broke their kiss. "Lin, ah so mmm c-close~"
Lin moaned loudly as Yasmin's words were even weight when she felt a spike in pleasure rippling through her body. "Mmm, hold it off Yasmin, we're in for a long night together. And the fun has just begun." Their lips met a second time, both of their eyes fluttering close, and their arms wrapped tightly around each other. Inseparable by their love for one another, even in the face of their heritages.
