CHAPTER ONE
The Dive
Crystal Harbor is aptly named. Situated at the end of a particularly impressive stretch of coastal coral, the harbour is home to a relatively modest set of pleasure yachts and a carefully maintained town of subsisting of rustic beach homes. Early on the original denizens of Crystal Harbor had decided upon an almost xenophobic attitude to developers and an almost lucite view of any heavy industries, up to and including any fisheries. Though this bizarre attitude had been seen as anti-progress only a few short decades ago, now it is seen by many as having been almost prescient. The people here had maintained their innocent, underdeveloped charm and with it much of the coral itself.
However, as the years have marched on so too has the need for such rare spots of natural beauty and oceanic wonder. Inevitably this has led to the continually expanding industry that the town of Crystal Harbor has become all but dependent on, tourism. Stormy, as she likes to be called, is one of many tourists who have come to Crystal Harbor during the height of the best season. The dark-grey female wolf is staring into the aptly named waters of Crystal Harbor, her flipped-wearing paws dangling over the side of her rented boat and dipping into the warm waters on which she is afloat upon.
Neoprene is not all too comfortable for canids like her. Even with short fur she can feel its uneven distribution across her body, either pushing or pulling too much one way or another. A small price to pay for the protection it affords her for what will be her ninth dive of this season. Stormy closes her blue eyes and savours the moment before the plunge. Unlike all of those past times, this one will be solo, without that nagging equine guide back in town.
Sorry Corey, you don't get to ruin my fun this time.
Stormy makes one last check of her gear as she inserts the breather mouthpiece which is equipped with two small but compact miniature oxygen tanks on either side of it. With her mask shielding her eyes the lupine finally slips off the edge of her boat and submerges her body under the warm waves of the tropical ocean. Orientating herself she begins kicking out with bare arms and flipper-wearing paws. Stormy is now propelling herself down and deeper into the waters as she adjusts to the sensation of the different environment.
Even with the neoprene suit encasing the majority of her body the warm feeling always gives the sensation of entering a bath with lukewarm water. It is remarkable how welcoming the waters around here are, with light easily shining down from the surface and illuminating the near seabed and coral life that dominates the entire local area. As she starts swimming down and away from her boat the wolf smiles at a passing school of fish only a few metres away, the brightly coloured pisces seem to be dancing near a thin vortex forming from where the warmer water of the coral beach is mixing with cold waves coming from the wider ocean body.
Now let us see what treasures you are hiding today.
***
She should not be all the way out here. Technically the boundary for tourists to go diving is kept within a strict area which is marked by a line of buoys. One of which she is now swimming beside. The reason for the not so arbitrary restriction is that though they have a slice of paradise in the harbour proper, you only need to go a little further out to find treacherous undercurrents, the increased likelihood of encountering for more aggressive undersea wildlife such as sharks, and a series of jagged shoals on the cliff faces bordering either side of the harbour that powerful waves have been known to pin an adventurer to.
However, the risk that Stormy is presently undertaking is not without its rewards. A series of undersea caverns is her destination as she now starts swimming out past the buoy. The undertow picks up and she can feel the currents as they pull and push around her. Thankfully today is a calm day, and although Stormy's heart is beginning to race with adrenaline, she knows in her head that the chances of her reaching the caverns she seeks are good. Besides, what is the point of life without a little adventure from time to time?
Using long powerful strokes with arms and legs, the wolf goes deeper and deeper, the light from the surface beginning to fade as she progresses. The goggles masking her eyes begins collecting a thin film of debris that clings to its polymer surface. Down here the waters are strong enough to continually disturbing and rearrange the sands that have been created from eroded and then pulverised rock. Even the temperature is noticeably cooler. All of this is serving to energise her with fresh adrenaline flooding her veins.
There it is.
Something is waiting just a few metres more in front of her. Checking the diving watch on her wrist she confirms that she is at the right depth, or thereabout. She only needs to fight a little more against these currents and she will reach the first cave opening. Moving closer still, she can make out the dark orifice in the rocky surface. It is wide and tall enough to let a whale inside, let alone little Stormy here who is barely 172cm. At the last moment, she can feel the currents tugging on her paws and tail, threatening to drag her back out to sea.
Just a little further...
One last heroic effort pushes her beyond the harbour area and into the undersea cavern itself. From her belt, Stormy takes out a small plastic cylinder, breaks and now shakes it. An eery green glow comes from the stick in hand and she hooks the looped cord attached to it around her neck. After making sure, she has the glow-stick she now takes out a compact flashlight and flicks it on. The directional beam of light spills out across the poorly lighted cavern walls and the wolf kicks with her legs, swimming deeper inside.
Wait, what's that?
Something at the far end catches her attention. There is an odd halcyon light that is glowing from within a recess in the rock. Eyeing the stalagmites nervously, she continues to make way inside. The water is still here, the currents trapped outside. She shines her light across the recess, its beam fighting back the strange light that is emanating from within. Nearing closer still, she turns the light off, with only the light of her glow-stick and the curiosity still shining inside the cavern. As her predator's eyesight adjusts she finds that this is ample enough for her to see as she finally draws up to the strange rock formation.
What are you?
CHAPTER TWO
The Breach
Luminescent yellow crystals are moulded into the local rock formation of the cavern wall. How it got there Stormy does not know, but the rock looks frayed and as if part of it have been chipped at. On a whim, she reaches out with one hand. Orientating herself she braces against a relatively smooth section of the rocky wall with her other paw whilst clasping against one of the most protruding pieces of rock. With a firm grip, she begins pulling, grunting against the mouthpiece of her breather as she tugs at it.
Her grunting as she fights with the inanimate object creates a curtain of agitated bubbles from her breather. However, with a final almighty effort she comes away with a loose piece of the rock, coming off with a snap that can be heard even in the dull medium of the water. Most of the strange out of place rock remains sunken into the underwater cavern wall. Stormy calms herself, repositioning until she is safely upright again before taking a closer look at her prize.
However, before she can appraise her find something very startling happens. The sensation on the underlying pads of her articulate digits at the end of her paw go numb as the crystal begins to grow bright with an inner light. Curiosity turns to concern and now panic as she tries to drop the thing but her fingers have grown stiff and now tighten around it against her impulses. Still having control of her arm she tries to flick her paw until it drops it but there is no letting go and now she can see edges of the crystal begin to ripple and move.
With enough awareness and self-control, she resists trying to use her other hand, the one that has not been exposed to the crystal, and starts swimming back out of the undersea cavern. Adrenaline is flooding her arteries and veins breathing quickens leaves a trail of carbon dioxide bubbles behind her like an old steam locomotion engine at full throttle. All the while she can feel strange aches and pains emanating from her occupied paw as she keeps it extended away from the rest of her body. But, despite these minor sensations it is otherwise disconnected from the rest of her nervous system, obstinate in not letting go of the rock.
Now reaching the mouth of the cave system's exit she is feeling optimistic in reaching the shore and finding help with whatever toxin she is being afflicted with. But, just as she reaches open waters by the rocky shoals away from the harbour proper she begins succumbing to the mysterious crystals effects. It starts with a paralysing grip over her body, from one set of paws to the other. She goes limp in the water, her eyes bugging out in unchecked terror. Is this how it ends? Will she die here, only metres from the surface?
No.
Sharp, stabbing pain courses down the back of her spine. She can hear the sound of bone snapping and mending whilst the flesh underneath skins and fur rebels against her in rippling, undulating motions. Some voluntary control of her own body returns, but only intermittent, which when combined with her growing panic leads to nothing more than inerrant spasms in the water. She bites down against her breather, eyes shut as she wills herself to regain control. Stormy needs to ascend, she needs to get to the surface.
However, the foreign contaminant has other plans for her, as it starts to subvert and remake her flesh. Though she is at first obvious to the effects her body is beginning to take on mass. Not by way of overeating, but by way of an explosive and unnatural puberty-like effect. Bone, muscle and organ tissue duplicates, triplicates and more. Although it is not entirely proportional all of the time, it is nevertheless in synchronicity from one organ or limb to the other.
Stormy realises somewhat late in these early stages that her swimming outfit is growing tighter and tighter. The fabric is riding up her ass, constricting her chest and generally threatening to choke the life out of her as her body continues to grow. With those intermittent windows of control she tries to tear at her outfit, wishing to release herself from this increasing pain. However, her efforts are hardly necessary as a sudden and very violent expansion in the circumference of her torso tears the neoprene of her diving outfit cleanly off.
Why is this happening? What was that rock?
The wolf's mind is focused on the cause when it should still be concerned with the effect. Her growth is gradual but constant as fur grows to cover her ever-expanding form. She has already lost her neoprene suit, the flippers that were attached to her paws and the mask over her eyes that had its band stretched until snapping. Somehow she still has the now tiny breather against pursed lips at the end of her snout, as well as the glow stick tied around her thickening neck. With a sigh, she spits the breather out even as the cord around the glow stick tightens and snaps, falling somewhere between her growing bosom.
Motor-control is returning to Stormy now and she inclines her head looking up at the approaching sea ceiling. There is no reference for the extent to which she has grown from a relatively static position drifting in the water, but if she had to guess she must be more than just a few metres tall by now. Almost incidentally she is aware of other changes too, things on the exterior of her body bursting forth from underneath her shaggy and wet fur. Outcroppings of yellow and crystal like osteoderms. She is still very much a wolf, but not a normal one in size or appearance any longer.
Well, I guess I need to get some air now. She muses whilst still holding the last of her breath and begins pushing up with a mighty shove, moving up towards the surface.

Corey Shires is barely dressed. He somehow managed to grab his beach shorts and pull them on but is otherwise without any other article of clothing or accessory as he rushed out onto Crystal Harbor's beachside pier. Even the horse's mane is unkempt and a mess as it falls in front of his shoulders. But these superficial things are not anywhere on his mind as he rubs his eyes and starts scanning the waters for a familiar sight. He knew he could not trust her to run off and take that risky dive. Corey thought that by having the girl beside him in his bed would offer some security that she would take his advice as genuine concern, or at least he would be able to keep an eye on her at all times.
'Dammit girl, you'd best not have gone and drowned yourself!' He mumbles angrily to himself.
However, the normally becalm waters are stirring unnaturally. Before the horse can figure out where his boat is his attention is drawn to what are becoming ever increasing ripples in the water. Something is disturbing the harbour only thirty metres out. More eyes than just Corey's are now paying attention the agitated water and those who are still on their boats or pleasure yachts are wisely beginning to take hasty action. Although, as the figure continues to emerge from the waters are only growing angrier, rocking any vessel within back and forth risking to capsize them.
Stormy, the tourist and one night stand to the now awestruck horse, has become something entirely unnatural, and in fact, supernatural. He recognises her from the two-tone shades of grey fur and blue markings under each eye, but this is not the girl he knew against him. In the simplest terms, she has grown, and is still in the process of growing, proportionally already at least sixty metres tall and still going. In addition, her body is now covered along her extremities, from her shoulders to the teats of her substantial breasts, with a strange yellow crystal that acts as a partial boney endoskeleton. Though Corey does not recognise the full implication of this, on an intuitive level the strange yellow substance does provide an almost corruptive appearance. Almost like tumours that pulsate in comical video game fashion "Hey hit these to the kill the boss".
Now she has emerged up to the point of her waist rising out of the waters and the horse's eyes are unashamedly drawn to between her legs. Fuck, this is not the time for that! His very male brain argues with itself whilst she stretches, testing her arms, legs, tail and neck as her supernatural puberty gradually slows. The wolf appears a little confused but also elated, a smile her now colossal muzzle that could more than easily swallow entire handfuls of the normals down by the beach. Predatory features such as those fangs protruding from the edges of her lips seem all the more noticeable now to Corey and the throngs of people inside of and surrounding the harbour, all bearing witness to Stormy's rebirth.
After stretching out, she looks back down at herself, at the insects watching before something long and serpentine rolls out of her mouth. Her tongue has become something long, far more prehensile than is normal for any canine, and be speckled with more of that strange glowing yellow crystal. Eyes wide, neurones firing on all cylinders she swings her head back and without any warning lets rip with a monstrous and defeating howl. The normally haunting tone is instead a terrible and menacing blast. It shatters glass and rings eardrums as the water around her shivers and shakes in perfect symmetrical fashion to the auditory shockwave of it.
CHAPTER THREE
The Mayhem
Exhilarating is the only way that Stormy can describe this to herself or anyone else; if their opinions still mattered to her. Questions about why this has happened and what that crystal was seem irrelevant to her now. Maybe the resized pineal gland flooding her system with endorphins is what is causing it, but all that Stormy now wants to do is go for a little stroll into Crystal Harbor. Stretch her legs out, dry off and then reassess what she is going to do for the afternoon. Everything else seems so meaningless now, so very small of her to be concerned about.
The titan takes one step forward. Her leg rises up until the backwards facing digitigrade ankle joint skims the surface before plummeting back down onto the seabed beneath. Coral cracks and burst underneath the massive paw. But more importantly for those still on the water surface, as well as the beach, docks and pier, she is churning the water. A large wave cascades out from every movement of her legs, rolling out and bashing against everything from the vessels still barely afloat and the people who have now accepted their flight response on the edge of land.
Stormy's ears twitch as she hears something like a faint wailing sound. Looking over to the buildings in front of her she realises that it must be some kind of siren. An alarm intended for natural disasters and not for the sudden and inexplicable presence of a hundred and fifty metres tall female lupine. She shrugs and continues her advance. Most of the yachts and smaller boats have now capsized, the pleasure seekers trying to stay up on the surface for air alone. Others on the beach are now being washed back up against the town proper, swept up by the unnaturally large waves that would be the envy of any daredevil surfer if they were not under threat of drowning.
In all of this terror and panic of the advancing wolf, there is one person who is trying to get her attention, the one person who knows who this giantess is other than the doom bringer for Crystal Harbor. Even with his athletic sprinting it takes Corey Shires far too long to reach the closest lifeguard tower. Running against the crowd near the docks only added to his haste, though. No one is staying put, they all know that the only thing the can do now is get as much distance between themselves and the monster nearly upon their tourist town as possible. Those on motorbikes are making especially good progress, already reaching the main road. Corey has noticed, however, that some have been stopping to take photos of the furry behemoth.
With the flare gun now in hand, Corey aims with as steady a hand as he can and hires it at an elevation that he hopes will come up to the towering woman's face. She may not be paying much mind to the people fleeing right now, but if the horse can capture her attention for just a moment he can make her recognise him. Perhaps, there is a chance, no matter how dumb, that he can get her to stop and rethink what havoc her actions, as innocuous as they might be from her perspective, are causing. He squeezes the trigger and the bright projectile soars upwards like some sort of magic missile a wizard would cast against a fantastic and wholly evil aggressor in some fantasy movie.
A pinpoint spec of red and orange fire comes up to a level near the wolf's face and hands in the air, falling slowly. She stops, tilts her head like a dog look at a treat being offered and now inclines her head down looking for where it came from. Down by the docks, all on his own, and still only dressed in beach shorts is Corey Shires. Her eyes and face light up as she recognises the equine jumping up and down, waving his muscular arms up and down as furiously as he can. Her brain is still flooded with the curious new scale and biology that has been thrust upon her, but she is still Stormy and she is sufficiently self-aware to know that she wants to be gentle with this little insect.
Stormy begins kneeling down, her tail lifting up and giving what few witnesses have survived out in the water behind her a less than ladylike view. Not that the ones in front are being offered anything else as she leans down. Her breasts look like impossibly huge from this angle as Corey stares off into the shaggy cleavage. It is difficult to ignore that which is stirring inside of those beach shorts. But it is fear that most aptly grips his heart even as the giant wolf extend her right paw. The damn thing pushes the air around it so that there is a gust of air that sends the horse's mane flapping wildly before her digits are enclosing in around him. He also notices that even for a paw as big as this, the claws at the ends appear longer and more vicious than the manicured ones she had before her transformation.
Scooping up poor little Corey is a delicate thing to do. Ideally the wolf should probably be testing her motor controls on something less precious to her. Nevertheless, she is a quick learner and is careful when manipulating him to let the equine fall into her palm, his fur tickling against her pads, as opposed to really grasping at him. Thankfully the diminutive man is compliant and goes with the flow as she rotates her hand to a horizontal position. Straightening her back and legs she stands upright once more and brings the little horse man up to one ear, hoping that he gets the idea.
'Well, this is dangerous.' Corey says as he takes a look down at the drop.
'Climb inside.' Stormy says, her womanly voice booming at the end of that tremendous snout.
The horse carefully gets a hold of a few strands of fur, wrapping them around either arm, before pulling himself in and stepping off of the giant's paw. It is easier than he thought, and not at all dirty within the wolf's giant right ear. But, all the same he is terrified, knowing that with one mistake he could start slipping down and out of her ear, or deeper into it. Some optimism is coming from the fact that since she is still covered in this coarse grey fur, mostly, he has plenty opportunity to get a hold of something before plummeting to his own demise.
'Hold on.' Stormy says before she begins moving again.
Each footstep on dry land is like seismic shock. With paws thicker than the streets she is navigating in, Stormy is creating fresh destruction with every movement. She is still not sure if this is what she wants, but for the moment it is nothing more than collateral damage for her to get further inland. Most people have either already found their vehicles and are driving down the motorway or are otherwise doing an impressive job of leaving the giant a wide berth. Of course some are merely cowering, and there might be a few casualties already as she stumbles around and braces herself against one building or another, defacing the exterior artifices and half-demolishing some without even trying.
Something the wolf is quickly finding especially enjoyable is when one of her paws comes down on a car or two. They pop underneath her immense weight, crushed down to nothing but a flat remanent of metal, plastic and glass set atop cracked asphalt. She is beginning to understand that not only is she towering over all of the buildings here in the tourist town of Harbor Crystal, but her body feels so very different. Even on most of the areas where the strange yellow crystals are not outcropping from she is aware of her skin underneath the fur having grown firmer, tougher, and her musculature is also proportionally denser, stronger.
'Hey, Corey?' Stormy says, unable to see but certainly able to hear the tiny man her right ear is now host to.
'Y-Yeah?' Corey's voice is cowed and timid, unable to understand why any of this is happening, and too afraid to remind the giantess that he is still here.
'Do my breasts look bigger to you?' She asks, ear swivelling and head tilting down so that he can see as she pushes them together.
Of course, they are bigger, humongous in fact compared to any other set of tits the man has seen in his life. But, he understands what she is getting at as she runs her fingers and thumbs over them, toying with the teats a little with a loud gasp. They are fuller, and take up a great deal more room on her chest compared to the relatively petite and modest set with which she started with today, or at least that Corey had seen last night. Stormy continues playing with them for awhile, enjoying the way they bounce and jiggle to her agitating them. Indeed, not only are they larger, but they feel just marginally more firm to her; probably a side effect of her generally tougher hide.
'Well?' She asks again.
'Umm, yeah.' Corey replies, both arms straining to keep himself anchored with the fluffy fur inside her ear.
'Good. I hope you like big girls.' Stormy giggles before looking back up.
Resuming her advance the giant wolf decides that being careful to not totally wreck the place is not really in her own interest. Surely she is beyond such petty morality as caring about the lives of those who are so incredibly tiny compared to her. So, she now puts her bets foot forward, marching in a straight line to reach the main road. Doing so she starts ploughing through one building after the next. Those that she does not merely crush underfoot, or underpaw, she sort of knees and smashes into with nothing but her own momentum. Feeling and watching the architectural eyesores shatter when coming against her is feeding some dark pleasure deep inside of the wolf's psyche.
This must be what it is like to think oneself entitled to godhood. To be so far beyond the other mortals in size, strength and application of raw power that they are nothing to you. Some reflection will, of course, be in order once she has settled into her new body and this new dynamic between herself and everyone else. But, for now she is content to simply walk and watch as the world before her gives way. Who would have thought that some dark dangerous underwater cave our here in paradise could contain a prize so unbelievable, so empowering.
There are still questions, of course. Ones that even in her altered body and mind are haunting her even as she makes her awe-inspiring advance. Not least of which pertain to what exactly she is now half-covered in and if she should be concerned about having contracted some kind of pathogen that might be rewriting her DNA even now. Not to mention if she can be turned into this sexy monstrosity, what about others? Stormy will have to dwell on these questions, whilst she is making her presence known to the world beneath her.
