Hello, all, and welcome back to a story I have been working on for one of my newest high tier patrons from Patreon! This story is an example of what I offer to the high level contributors on my Patreon page, found here: https://www.patreon.com/comidacomida

Seeds of Divinity is a story that takes place in a low-tech, high adventure world with some amounts of fantasy. It focuses on a young man by the name of Raedryn Wescott, the elder of two children from a very influential, very well-off merchant family. Unlike the rest of his household, Ray is not really 'into' business and prefers more scholastic studies. Although he was interested in finding out why he came into a possession of a strange amulet, he is hardly ready for what answers await him.

This story is sponsored by Kalendius' generosity, and will continue to update monthly until completed, or until he has concluded his time as one of my patrons. If you like this story be sure to let him know too over on FA: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/kalenidus/

Please be advised that this story will contain a lot of adult m/m and m/m/m content in upcoming chapters involving a human and furries.

Chapter 3 continues now after a year hiatus, and it starts off with 'a bang'. heh... puns. :)

Seeds of Divinity, Ch 3

Raedryn was no stranger to lovemaking, but he was also not well-versed. As the eldest child of a wealthy family having care for where he spilled his seed was reinforced as a very important consideration. His time with females was carefully monitored and highly controlled to make certain that he didn't sire any bastards. As such, Ray had spent the vast majority of his youth and teenage years with other young man, and that was where his experience had been gleaned. In the vast majority of those cases there had been no penetration and certainly not like what he experienced with Herald.

Surrendering himself completely to the moment, the Human gave over to the Varkken's ministrations, only half aware that he might have been over his head and out of his depth. He was decidedly right but, in the split second it took for Herald's pointed tip to pass through his tight ring, Ray could not bring himself to regret that decision, and when he felt the moan come unbidden to his lips, his companion knew it as well. The Wolf gave a tentative thrust, slipping several more inches into Ray without withdrawing; that was followed by another, and an other, and the young man cried out when the firm tip of the Varkken's wolfhood struck him in just the right way. It was all it took.

Quivering, Raedryn's entire body shook as he felt a dam deep within him give way to a torrential flood and the next thing he knew he was surrendering his semen in thick, eager jets-- far more than he had ever produced up to that moment... and he reveled in it. Despite the eloquence that had been repeatedly impressed upon him by countless teachers, Ray could come up little to say in the moment, but his voice didn't need a mind to work. "Oh-- oh... my... uaoh!"

A broad, strong tongue caressed his lips, delving into his mouth as it licked across his teeth once before withdrawing and Herald's warm breath danced across his face. "Yes, My Lord... my Prophet..." his voice tightened as he gave an earnest thrust.

The movement pushed the rest of Herald's slick flesh deep into the young man's body-- so deep that his Varkken anatomy became imminently noticeable; the only thing stopping it from going deeper was the quickly-thickening knot at the base of the Wolf's shaft. Herald's entire body shook; Ray could tangibly feel the desire in his lover, and the Varkken continued murmuring softly, an eerie combination of what almost sounded like a prayer combined with bedroom talk. "Praise be the heavens, which delivered you unto me, that I may deliver this blessing unto you... will you..." he began grinding his knot against the Human's opening, "...accept what I have... to offer you?"

Raedryn wasn't sure whether he was supposed to answer, stuck somewhere between nonsensical bliss of his release and a confused wave of indecision; was he really being fucked by a Varkken? He moaned as Herald redoubled his efforts, jack-hammering into him at a faster pace, tongue hanging out of his muzzle as he panted. Ray's indecision didn't find a resolution. Panting, he tried to wrap his mind around what was being asked. "I... what... you... offer?"

Herald lowered his head, butting the top of it against the side of the Human's, rubbing his scent all over the young man as gripped his hips tighter still. The Varkken's thrusts turned into short, meaningful bursts of power, repeatedly slamming his knot against Ray's opening. It hurt-- that much was apparent, but the Human was astounded that he still felt the pleasure, and it was starting to rise again.

Still panting, Herald finally answered Ray's question. "I offer everything, my Lord. You... you have my devotion, and my service, and my love... my loyalty... I--" the Varkken's voice tightened further and Ray was almost certain that the Wolf's claws were digging into his flesh hard enough to draw blood. "-- I... offer you now my seed..."

The statement was strangely matter-of-fact, yet somehow made it send a tingle up the young man's spine in a way that was far too surreal to be purely erotic. Rayedryn was still caught up in the moment, far too lost to the sensations building anew to make much sense of what was said. "Your seed?"

A helpless, desperate whine escaped the Wolf, whose entire body was shaking as if it were the earth quaking from a titan's fit or a god's rage. "I... beg of you... let me... give you this... my Divine Prophet... let me--"

A golden aura surrounded them both, lighting up the ancient temple room. It was a strange sensation, especially since Raedryn had heard stories of people hallucinating during an orgasm but he never thought he'd experienced it personally. Despite the pure confusion of the moment and the madness Ray felt over his own acceptance of being bred by a beast man, the young man could not bring it in himself to deny the own sensations he was experiencing, and he embraced the insanity. "I... yes, Herald... yes!"

The Varkken's howl was so loud it almost made Ray wince, but the feel of the Wolf powering his hips into him, forcing his knot unforgivingly through his opening sealed the deal. Crying out in pain mixed with a surreal euphoria, Raedryn gave up his own seed a second time for the supplicant who played him as expertly as a master musician manipulated an instrument. In that moment, however, his insides were flooded with Herald's offering. Ray felt a burning warmth so incredibly hot that it was as though his insides would be seared away and yet, despite the sensation of being pumped full of seething fluid there was no pain, just a sense of completion-- of being made whole.

The glow that Ray had thought he'd imagined surrounding Herald and himself grew, suffusing his entire vision and ultimately blocking it out. The sensations surrounding him-- the cloak against his back with the hardness beneath-- the soft fur of the Wolf astride him and the firm, toned muscle behind it-- the pleasure and the pain-- the fullness and... and a strange, seemingly impossible amount of emptiness. That last feeling clung to him the most even as everything else was dispelled by the golden light.

Not only did his eyes surrender themselves, but so too did his ears. The grunts, growls, and heavy breathing from their coupling was washed away in a sea of crystalline melody-- similar to the instrumentals he'd heard in church when he attended with his family, though it lacked any of the chorus of voices singing praise to the divine. The music was so ephemeral to almost be inaudible, and yet, as the seconds passed and his heart echoed in his ears he almost imagined he could feel the sensation of the harmonized chords on his skin... and then, more impressions of happenings incomprehensible than he could track.

Raedryn saw a thousand things at once, felt a multitude of sensations and heard millions of voices-- some praising and some condemning; some laughed and others cried; there were words of welcome and dismissal-- joy and anguish, but the one thing all had in common was that they were meant for him. Why him? How could that many people know he existed, let alone have such strong feelings for or against him? He did not know, and he continued drowning in that confusion until he awoke in a sea of fur.

The young man jolted awake, gasping for breath. Herald, laying beneath him, raised his head so he could regard the Human on his chest. The Wolf's baritone voice murmured softly with the same intimate tone he'd used when they were in the middle of their coupling. "What did you see, my Prophet?"

Ray wanted to pull away, suddenly having second thoughts about what he'd done, yet the Varkken's loose embrace did not keep him in place anywhere nearly as well as the searing pain in his nether regions. He'd just started to flex his legs to disengage when he felt as though his insides would be ripped from him. The Human went so far as to cry out at the agony. "Ow! Oh my-- OW!!"

Emerald green lupine eyes gazed up at him, the edges twitching as Herald's voice came out with a faint shakiness to it. "My Lord... if you pull against my knot, not only will you hurt yourself, but it will take longer for us to separate... if you wish to disengage the best thing you can do is--"

The young man put two and to together-- he'd heard of what happened during Varkken mating. "We... we're-- we're... locked?"

Herald reached up, gently drawing the back of one paw along the length of Raedryn's naked thigh. "Tied, yes, my Prophet... joined in a holy union of oneness. Praise be to the Sundered One who grants us this time."

The statement should have made things more awkward but, for some inexplicable reason, Ray was made more at ease by Herald's words. In all the times the young man had fooled around with his friends the minutes following their climax were usually uncomfortable; they separated quickly, went their separate ways, and spent a day or two apart before coming back together like nothing had happened between them. Something was different when it came to the Varkken-- despite how wrong it was, it didn't feel that way.

Ray didn't know exactly when he fell asleep or how, for that matter... only that he awoke atop the same warm body, supported by the Wolf's muscular form but still entirely and inexplicably comfortable. The young man had dreamed-- more of those strange, senseless imagines had gone through his head and they had told a story of sorts, but it had vanished from his mind just as surely as the realm of sleep, leaving him to take stock of his surroundings upon returning to the land of the waking.

He was sore in a way he hadn't before experienced but it wasn't painful, per se-- he felt as though he'd just overexerted himself at exercise-- only it wasn't with any limb; it was with... a different part. Just the thought of it caused his breathing to be interrupted by a silent snicker and Herald adjusted beneath him as a result. The Wolf's warm breath tickled his hair as his companion spoke down onto his head. "Did you rest well, oh Prophet mine?"

The honorifics were more than just a little disconcerting, but Ray pushed the thoughts from his mind since he had a lot more to be worried about. Flexing his legs, the young man found that he was no longer tied to the Wolf and, in fact, was completely free. Slowly getting to his feet, he nearly fell over when his knees wobbled and he felt a near-torrential cascade of Varkken fluids seep out of his rectum, coating his thighs as he stood. "What? When---?" he paused, starting again. "What time is it?"

Herald slowly sat up, pressing his back against the base of the small temple's dais as he regarded Ray. "It is still some time until dawn, my Lord... you slept two hours-- three at the most."

A thousand thoughts rushed through Ray's head at the same time. It was closing in on dawn; he'd actually slept outside his home; he had to get home; he had spent most of the night with a strange Varkken; something... 'strange' had taken place; Herald was still naked. That last thought clung to his mind, dispelling all others as his eyes drank in the perfection of form that was his companion, set aglow like silvery fire by the dappled moonlight filtering in through the hazy windows.

Herald had, not long past, been a disheveled, dirty, decrepit, emaciated mongrel who barely seemed capable of standing; the Wolf sitting confidently before him was none of those. The Varkken had a lustrous sheen to his full coat of fur, which was so thick that it seemed possible to get lost in it; Raedryn practically had, he recalled. The Wolf's astute, emerald green eyes regarded him with obvious intelligence and bright wit, as well as an obvious gleam of adoration. The Human also noticed that a small sliver of pink was peeking from Herald's sheath, and that, upon realizing that, also comprehended that, like the Varkken, he himself was also nude. He went to cover himself immediately. "My... uh... clothes..."

With no modesty or care, the Wolf stood. "They are by the base of the steps, Glorious One... I shall gather them for you."

Ray numbly watched the Wolf spring up and pad casually down the three steps before bending over to gather the young man's clothes. From his vantage, the Human received quite an eyeful of the Varkken's flank; his fur was slightly lighter along his chest, belly and groin but the color also extended along the inside of his thighs, and was visible from behind. The Varkken's body was, in no uncertain terms, a glorious thing to behold.

The young man's eyes explored the view, following the imperceptible line identifying the difference between platinum and white as it rose from his thighs, followed the shapely curve of the Wolf's finely sculpted buttocks, before slipping up beneath the Varkken's languidly wagging tail and up beneath Herald's-- He jumped in embarrassment at his own thoughts when his companion declared "I have them here for you, in good order. If you desire aid in dressing, my Lord, I stand ready to assist you."

The offer sent a fresh wave of warmth to Raedryn's cheeks; no... being with Herald had been nothing like experimenting with his friends and, despite the fact that his companion was a Varkken, and therefore considered lesser in the eyes of polite society, the young man fought hard to dispel the sense of belonging and comfort that being with the strange Wolf had brought up from within him. For so long Ray had to be someone specific-- he had to act a certain way and do certain things, but it wasn't like that with the strange Varkken. Ray felt... good. Smiling, he accepted his clothes from the Wolf. "No, Herald. Thank you. I can handle that myself."

The Wolf's next words caught him by surprise. "Very well, dear Voice of Light, I shall gather my own clothes so that I will not delay your journey."

The statement didn't really make sense to Raedryn. "Do what? What do you mean 'delay my journey'? Why would--"

Herald bowed respectfully, ears splayed in supplication. "If it would please you, my Lord, I shall get dressed before accompanying you on the street... unless you wish your faithful follower to remain clad only in the fur of his birth, in which case, I am yours to display as you will."

One part of Raedryn's mind agreed with the 'artwork' statement, but the much more logical, much more civil and proper portion of his brain screamed a much more alarming fact, which transitioned in a surprisingly almost-calm tone to his lips. "You're... coming with me?"

The Wolf looked his way with a vacant gaze, but, judging from the foolish grin on his muzzle and the way his tail moved so vigorously that it rotated in a circular motion rather than side-to-side that the Human realized that his companion must have found something humorous in Ray's surprise. "I would have thought that obvious, my Prophet."

Raedryn considered no less than a dozen objections but he was having such trouble figuring out where to start that his body was on complete autopilot. As he stood there, Herald began dressing him in a way that was reminiscent of the way the young man had been assisted in his early years. The Wolf was efficient and skilled, as if he had history as a man servant, and the Human was surprised by the fact that the Varkken had him completely clothed before his brain had managed to figure out which of the objections it would use.

In fact, Herald was also dressed by the time Raedryn's mouth and brain had a chance to properly interface. "I don't think we--"

Turning around to regard the Wolf, the Human was ready to object to the idea that a Varkken dressed in torn beggars robes should be seen anywhere near the well-to-do part of town, but his objection was stopped mid sentence by Herald's appearance. The Wolf had moved to the altar, the top, circular stone of which had been moved aside, revealing a hidden cache. The Wolf himself was adorned in deep blue tunic with golden filigree and a pair of fine leather trousers which, unlike most well-crafted clothing, appeared to have a hole already built in and reinforced with proper stitching (rather than the ad hoc method used by most beast folk) for Herald's tail.

The Varkken, who was finishing off his ensemble with his back to Raedryn turned back around, revealing that his leggings were held up by a fine belt with a silver buckle which was designed using the same symbol as the amulet. That thought brought up immediately recalled the piece of jewelry which had started everything that night. Quickly turning to look at the altar, Raedryn realized that it was missing... right up until the moment Herald approached him, holding it out. "This is yours, oh Glorious Light."

Ray stared at it and the furred paw presenting it for several seconds. He slowly reached out to take hold of the medallion. "You keep calling me so many different things..."

Herald nodded proudly. "Of course, my Lord. They are all titles of great significance, and it is only suitable that I honor you with them."

The Human felt a flush come to his face, tingling in his cheeks at the unwarranted praise. "You could just call me by my name."

The Wolf inclined his head. "Of course, my Lord Raedryn."

The statement caught the young man by complete surprise. "I-- I didn't tell you my name was Raedryn!"

Smiling warmly, Herald offered a courtly bow in so smooth a gesture that Ray was immediately jealous; he'd been practicing for over a decade and his didn't even look half as good. Rising back up, the Varkken stated simply "You introduced yourself as Ray, Lord of Lords... Raedryn Wescott, of the Wescott Trading Company. Son of Jeddiah Wescott and Pilna Vilkler-Wescott. Brother to Vanessa Wescott."

The Wolf's knowledge of him was staggering, and it immediately put him on guard, dredging up memories of warnings from his father regarding kidnapping. "You... you were acting as if you didn't know me. Were-- you stalking me or something?"

Herald's laugh was melodious and good humored. "You, Master? Never. You have been the one thing that I have known more surely than anything else. Even through the Fog brought about from The Fall was unable to change that. I would dare say that any of your Disciples would be drawn to you, Sundering or no."

Many of the words thrown about casually by the Varkken carried with them an oddly 'significant' feel and it gave Ray pause. In the end he didn't really know how to go about filling in the blanks. "What... are you talking about?"

His companion held out a paw, pad upward, almost as a nobleman might do to a paramour. The gesture brought forth another blush from Raedryn even as he swallowed down his frustration; was the Varkken teasing him? Stringing him along? Would he get answers? Resting his hand into the Wolf's grasp, he was pleased to find out that he would. "You know of The Sundering, do you not, Lord Raedryn?"

Ray certainly did; it was spoken of often enough by the church. "The Sundering was the great divine's answer to mortal hubris and self-importance. Heaven called down its wrath upon the races of Kashyr and would very surely have destroyed us all if not for the church's prayers, calling for mercy. To this day we serve the church which, in turn, serves the divine and sees to it that the heavens never again call for the destruction of mortal men and women."

Even as Herald led Ray out of the temple the Wolf looked as though he had sucked on a particularly sour lemon. His verbal response, however, was much more subdued. "That would... indeed be the story... as the church tells it, at least, My Prophet."

The calm statement made Ray feel as though he were being placated without being implicitly told he was wrong; the young man had tutors do that to him when he was first learning math and he hated it. Normally subtle and withdrawn, the young man opted instead for confrontation. "So you're saying that the church is lying?"

The Wolf continued leading him down the barely-lit street of the low brow part of town, his vision in the pre-dawn shadows obviously better than Ray's. "I could not presume to know what is in the mind of the clergy who tell the story, Lord Raedryn, only that the story they tell is not the one that I know."

The continued 'careful handling' of his feelings irked Ray even further. "And how do you know YOUR version of the story is right?"

Appearing completely undisturbed by the challenge to his knowledge, Herald pulled him a little closer as they passed the markers identifying a change from one city quarter to the next. "I cannot guarantee it is 'correct', per se... only that the story as I know it was due to having been there, Heaven-Speaker."

Raedryn came to a complete stop, forcing his Varkken companion to do the same. "You were THERE at the Sundering?"

It was such a bold faced lie that there was no way the Wolf could have possibly meant the statement literally. Turning to regard him, Herald offered a slight incline of his head and a patient smile. "Yes, Lord Raedryn. I was, in my capacity as the herald, as I have always been, and always hope to be."

The Human felt insulted; did the Varkken really expect him to believe that? "Really? The herald of what, exactly? Wait--- I thought you said the earliest you could remember back was the birth of my sister!"

Herald shook his head. "Apologies, my Lord. I had meant your Great Great Great grandmother."

"My what?"

The Wolf took the Human's surprise as an opportunity to continue walking onward, taking Raedryn with him. "Your Great Great Great Grandmother. Your father named your sister after his grandmother who was, in turn, named after her father's grandmother. The Fog parted for me quite some time after The Fall, and her birth was my first memory upon awakening within this mortal realm."

By that point Ray's feet were dragging; he was stuck trying to process everything he was being told that Herald was supporting well over half his weight. The young man still couldn't quite wrap his head around it. "Mortal realm-- you mean this city? Is that some kind of flowery presentation for--?"

Herald chuckled, reaching over to pat Ray's arm comfortingly. "I mean this realm, Master of Fate. I awoke within this city after my Fall from the celestial realm."

"... are you a god?"

Herald's laugh was full-bodied and from deep within his stomach, causing Raedryn's entire body to vibrate with the motion. "Me? Of course not, My Reason... as I have said, I am merely the Herald."

So confused and caught up in the plethora of impossible story lines spouted from the muzzle of the silver-and-white Wolf at his side, Raedryn didn't even realize that they were walking through the gate and up to his house as he pushed for more information. "What kind of title is 'Reason'? Reason for what?"

The Varkken offered up that same frustratingly benign chuckle again before addressing the question. "Is it not obvious, Lord Raedryn? You are My Reason for--"

The statement was cut short as Herald pushed him away, quickly creating a space between the two of them as a shadowy blur descended from on high, a short sword flashing in the light cast from a nearby street lamp. Raedryn barely managed to remain standing, stumbling and very nearly falling over before he could regain his balance. "What the hell?!?"

A figure in a hooded cloak stood between Ray and Herald, back to the Human with a twitching striped tail flicking back and forth from beneath the long cloak in obvious agitation. Two curved blades were held out aggressively at the Varkken. "Stay back, beast. Keep your distance if you wish to keep your life."

Ray immediately put two and two together, recognizing the voice the moment his father's spymaster spoke. "Bird, I--"

The Sunfeili maintained his stance and kept his attention focused on Herald, but he spoke over his shoulder with obvious concern. "Did he hurt you, my Lord? By the light, he touched you! Such familiarity is already far too much... So help me if he did anything more I--"

The Human's blood chilled as if pumped by a heart of ice when a low-toned, bone-quaking growl emerged from Herald. "Step aside, rogue or come to harm. Nothing will stand between me and my divine charge."

Ray stood numbly, struck dumb as he watched the two of them square off. The young man had known Bird for almost his entire life, and knew that his father's spymaster was easily as deadly as he was secretive, yet the Sunfeili had never shown that side to him to Raedryn. Herald, insofar as the Human could tell, was nothing more than a jovial, polite, proper, eager-to-please puppy, but seeing him stand resolutely with a razor sharp long sword in paw-- where did he even GET a long sword, and why was it glowing with golden light?!

Their clash was quick and violent; Bird charged first, coming in low with his blades, but Herald responded with an aggressive defense, slashing wide with his sword and causing the Tiger to draw back or risk being decapitated. From there, the Wolf stepped forward and launched another wide swipe, forcing the Sunfeili to backpedal again. Each time Herald moved, Bird countered, obvious in his desire to keep himself between the Wolf and the Human. The Tiger's words came out as a hiss. "Master... back away. I'll handle this... trash."

Raedryn remained where he was, body still not responding to any demand on his part to relocate. Somewhere in his brain the idea that he should speak up finally made it past the fog. "Bird... he--"

Offering no comment or counter, Herald continued the advance, his only vocalization was a pulse-quickening growl. It was obvious, even to an unskilled bystander like Ray that Herald greatly outclassed Bird in combat prowess, but the Sunfeili beat the Wolf on agility and athleticism. They continued to exchange swipes with neither connecting until Bird was backed up as far as he was willing to go, no longer able to keep himself between the Varkken and Human if he were to give up any more ground; he immediately pivoted and stepped forward, meeting Herald's swipe with his short blades... both of which spontaneously split as if they were nothing more than two slabs of butter presented before a serving knife.

The tips of the blades landed on the sidewalk a short distance away, their cleanly-sliced ends still glowing, as if heated in a blacksmith's forge. Ray, however, was focused more on Herald's weapon and the arc of the blade, heading right for the Sunfeili's neck finally snapped the Human out of his daze. "NO!"

The sword stopped scarcely a finger's breadth from Bird's throat. Staring down the length of his weapon at the feline, Herald rumbled out a direct command. "By my Lord's grace alone I grant you your life. You shall no longer separate me from my charge... now stand aside."

Bird held his ground. "No. You will not lay another paw on my Master. I'll not allow it."

Herald's eyes flicked between the Sunfeili and Ray for a split second, as if trying to figure out some unspoken correlation, and it was all the Cat needed. Leaping forward, Bird grabbed the Wolf by the wrist, pivoting as he adjusted his weight to gain a stronger grip. From there, he positioned his heel to off-balance the Varkken and, using the momentum-- "STOP!"

Both combatants froze in place even as Ray realized that the word had come from his own mouth. He had never been a particularly willful individual but the Human realized as the two beast folk were drawing ever closer to killing one another that he could be quiet no longer. "Bird. Inside. Now. Herald. Stay here."

Both the Wolf and Cat glanced at one another and then to Raedryn, disengaging and standing beside one another as if they'd just been thoroughly chastised. In unison, they even inquired "You know him?"

Leaving the question unanswered, Ray led his father's spymaster back into the manor. The young man sighed; it had been a long night, so why not a long morning as well?
