Anima World Part 4 (END)
Final Part!
I knew that last night's sex was something that could change me forever, and I was not just figuratively speaking, but also literally speaking. I started to realize something was wrong when I craved more meat than the vegetables I was growing, causing us to start to find a way to dispose all those agricultural products, which, surprisingly, were growing pretty well. Mika then helped hauled the whole products to the nearby settlement by himself so he could sell then and hoped for us to get any money so we could buy some meat. Mika thought I was sick, but I felt fine.
It was only after I check my own DNA from the computerized DNA sequencer did I realize that something extraordinary to me happened. The DNA sequence I had was different from the one I had before. This, and the craving of meat, were the first indications that I would become just like Mika, a Beast Race. If this happened, I would throw away my humanity and live among Mika's race! This would be something that Simon would like to hear.
Months after months, my body slowly turned into that of a fox, different from Mika's canine model. Apparently something was triggering it, but I didn't know what, which caused me to suspect the shaman had something to do with it. After my body had already turned into a slim vixen did I confronted Mika, to which he confessed that during the 'private' talk with the earth dragon shaman, he poured everything I said to him, including my intention to become a Beast race. Though I was left to wonder, the shaman gave him the wine imbued with magical effect that could start the chain of events that lead to the transformation to a Beast.
“The humans and the magi thought we could still infect them, but we could not anymore. We knew that sooner or later that property would not be permanent, and of course for someone who desired a change like you, he gave a good magical potion hidden as a home-made wine so anything I do can infect you. In our case it's uh…my semen? I guess that's what the shaman said, and the 'bodily fluid' he mentioned."
I was overwhelmed with happiness and jumped towards him. I said, “Thank you for the gift, Mika! Now that I am equal with you, we can join your society of Animas."
“Uhm…Animas?"
“It was coined by Simon and his peers, so as to distinguish our race to the magical ones. We are called Animas, while those like the shamans are called Mythars. We may have become separate race again, but we are still one!"
Mika smiled at me embraced me, before we kissed passionately. He then took a brush at my new red fur and said, “Such a soft, red fur…it's so you, Nadia."
“Hehe…now I can also say how sexy you are."
And thus...we continued to live with each other on that hill, overlooking an ever-growing Anima town. Due to our status as Beast Races, we had more cubs than a human would normally had, totaling seven cubs. Of course, they all lived in a world where society had become more open to us.
Thus, by the year 2025, some months after our 5th wedding anniversary, the world as we know it has ended. The humanoids had finally realized that the Animas and the Mythars could not infect them any longer, and the world of segregation and hatred would soon be forgotten, replaced with a new form of Civil Rights Movement by that year. Of course, it was not before the collapse of civilization due to civil unrest and Simon's group radical methods. Civilization had collapsed when they accepted the Beast Races, and the world was plunged into a dark age for 50 years until a new world was born from it. It the old calendar, it would be 2075, but we had entered the new age since the collapse of civilization, and that was the second era, year 50.
By then, I have become an old vixen, who have a very big family with three generations of fox and dog Animas. Since we are of a Beast Race, we have a vast family of relatives. My old human family does not know me anymore, and I am fine with that. Our faithful 4x4 has been long gone, but its memory, and my first love with Mika will never be forgotten. Mika is still a strong old dog, but I know our time in this world will not be long. But even when that happen, sooner or later, this journal is a proof that love can transcend even the boundaries of cultures and the quality of society.
For love is eternal, even beyond death…
