Final Offer
The time has come. Kira has been found at last, and faced with a powerful witch, Matthias doesn't want his wizards going in without backup. Freedom from his chastity cage seems closer than ever, but can Kerreth handle the pressure of facing the witch who locked him up all those years ago? And even if they win, can they make her tell him the way out?
"So there I am, standing there trying to hide from everyone in the street how the vibrator was driving me mad, stuck having to listen to this guy extol all the supposed crimes of dragonkind to me and tell me how I deserved to be bound and subservient for the rest of my days." Barrassa huffed and wriggled against Kerreth, thumping her tail on the rug. "And of course I can't get a word in edgewise because of the bridle, so I have to just listen to him go on and on and on... I can't snap my teeth, or nip him, or roar, or say anything more calmly in defense of dragons!"
"A good thing, too." Gwen took another sip from the mug of tea warming her hands. "The neighbors like you two because you've been so well behaved that they think you're totally friendly and harmless, locked up or otherwise, and if you'd bitten one of them they might not have been so thrilled." She sat forward in her chair and added, smirking, "plus I bet you couldn't have said a word without moaning. The vibe was not on low, after all."
The dragoness only squirmed some more, pushing a hoof boot against the carpet, leaning herself back against Kerreth's belly firmly enough to make him huff too--though anecdotes about her getting teased were enough to make his cage tight whether she started to rub up against him or not! "True..." she conceded after a moment. "Plus it also stopped me from telling him that being locked up in pony gear for good sounded, mn... well considering how riled up I was, of course it made being stuck that way sound really hot!"
Kerreth blushed, his cage throbbing gently, though he didn't complain; these two had a way of making that tension feel a lot more fun than otherwise. Instead he rumbled in amusement and nibbled at the back of her neck, finding just the right spots for the little moments of pressure from his teeth to tease her even more. "You keep saying stuff like that around the bird with your keys, you're going to get yourself into deep trouble," he teased.
Gwen chirped, and glanced meaningfully at the roaring fire in the fireplace that kept her living room nice and toasty for the three of them despite the blizzard outside. "Oh, she knows... though she's definitely said it way more frequently this winter. You must be a bad influence!"
Barrassa giggled, and rubbed herself against his cage much more deliberately. "My caged stallion is a very bad influence on me," she purred, "making being pent up all the time seem even sexier..." Her hind end wriggled even more provocatively, making poor Kerreth's chastity cage even tighter, though the way her tail twitched betrayed how needy she felt beneath her own belt... and encouraged him to just nibble her neck again, which made her close her eyes and shiver.
"What she doesn't know is that at that very minute, the tanner was asking me when I planned to find a stallion to breed her." When Barrassa made a little startled noise she tilted her head and continued, "oh yes! He congratulated me at finding such an effective way to get a female so very worked up, though of course he couldn't possibly guess that I was doing it because of how badly you wanted to be teased and denied all the time, instead of doing it to make you very, very eager to mate with some lucky dragon."
"I mean, I was. Am," she amended, pressing her hind legs together with a long, aching groan. "Though now that I have a specific dragon who's also chaste to fantasize about..." she rumbled, looping her tail around Kerreth's own and wriggling against the shape of his caged sheath, snout lifting to give him a smirk.
Kerreth was certainly familiar with that--just couple of nights back he'd had a dream about her in all her pony tack and chastity sucking him off, which was probably the most unfair dream he'd ever had. "Nhhhh. So those questions were deserved! Sounds like you hadn't been doing a good job keeping your composure when out working," he teased her back even while his shaft ached, but then he paused. "Though that doesn't make it sound like the tanner thinks much of our minds. I thought all your neighbors and the people in town knew we're plenty intelligent, just... In need of restraint."
"They do! But since they only ever see a dragon up close in bondage and chastity, and doing your best not to show off how horny you are, they might get some funny ideas in their heads. Like the tanner, he seemed to think that it was important for you to mate, but you didn't want to, so I was doing you and all dragons a service by getting you into a state where you'd be willing to offer yourself to a male."
She blushed hotter, latex creaking as she squirmed in place. "And-- and what did you tell him?"
"That I'd let you go find one in the spring... but that you'd only be let out of chastity beforehand if you were on your best behavior all winter," she said, and even before Barrassa could get a proper huff in about that she went on, "but that must not have cleared things up for him, because when he met Kerreth and saw his chastity, he then asked if the problem was actually dragons mating too much."
"Rrrhhn. Nothing like chastity to make us wish we could," Kerreth grumbled, pressing himself against the tacked-up dragoness this time instead of the other way around. "So what did you tell him then?"
Gwen giggled. "At that point I had to clear things up. Not that I was going to give him your personal stories, but I told him there was no problem. I said you dragons have your own culture that we might not quite understand, and sometimes dragons might do things that seem unusual in order to attract a mate."
"...so you told him that we're just kinky," he said.
The gryphon made a show of looking over the two dragons locked in their latex, harnesses, pony boots, hobbles, and chastity. "Am I wrong?"
His sheath throbbed again, and he huffed. "Not really... about either part, honestly. I mean, there was a dragoness who I'd get intimate with occasionally... before, but after I got this cage, it seems like every dragoness I meet finds me irresistible."
"Awwww, you had a girlfriend before you got locked up?" Barrassa wriggled herself around until they were chest to chest, and gave his neck and chin a few nuzzles. "How'd she take it?"
Kerreth couldn't help but squirm, remembering how they'd shared company after losing access to his cock... how horribly his sheath had ached, with the cage still new so he hadn't grown at all used to what being pent up felt like! "Oh, it was more that we'd help each other out when we felt the interest rather than a proper relationship, but--she thought it was really sexy too. She probably showed even more interest in me after than before--like I said," he grunted when Barrassa pressed her chastity belt against him. "Apparently dragonesses find chastity very attractive."
"We sure do," she purred. "Gods having you and that sexy cage of yours around all the time has made this winter torture, it's the best time I've ever had..." Metal clicked as chastity belt bumped against chastity cage, and she buried her snout in his neck, moaning in desire that only made his balls ache and dragonhood throb more desperately, knowing the pleasure she'd be so eager to share without two layers of steel in the way! Not to mention blush at how she so openly liked being pent up and denied so much... Though considering how fun Gwen and Barrassa made it feel to get so worked up, he didn't exactly mind it himself!
He grit his teeth and squirmed while she ground against him--and rubbed back more than once, and definitely didn't push her away, if anything doing his best to keep his hind limbs out of the way so she could keep at it. "Nnnh. See? Very, attractive..."
Gwen giggled, and Barrassa cracked an eye to look up at him. "What about the other way around?"
"Well, since I know that you really like it," he nuzzled her, "I think it's really sexy. Watching you get all riled up and unable to do anything about it, and the way you act when you want attention--and can't have any... Plus it even looks attractive, how I see the belt whenever you move your tail and have to guess just how eager for me you'd look without it hiding things," he rumbled, and couldn't help but smirk at how she got more and more flustered the longer he elaborated. He'd been finding himself getting better and better at that, too, with someone around who liked being teased in such a way--and all his experience with similar feelings! "Besides, it's not like it's the thing stopping us from... most activities anyway," he licked her on the nose suggestively, "so there's hardly any downsides!"
The pent-up dragoness whined at him. "Most activities? Why did you have to put that thought in my head, nnnngh..."
"There is no way it wasn't already on your mind," Gwen laughed.
"There's a difference between it being in my head and you saying you'd want to!" she cried, and pressed herself into Kerreth as close as she could with the hobbles stopping them from embracing properly. "That'd feel so good... Can we? Please?"
As much as Kerreth did actually want to go down on her sometime, her excitement made him blush too, and his cock strain in endless futility against its prison. But fortunately or unfortunately Gwen insisted, "we all agreed, that belt stays on and you don't cum until you're done being a pony in the spring. It's not fair to your stallion if you get to unlock while he can't."
She still pouted and squirmed and humped her belt against him, which he couldn't help but reciprocate, again imagining how she must look--feel--under there while this aroused... "Nnngh I know... but..." She shivered. "That might not be true in springtime either..."
He groaned softly. They'd had this conversation before, and even if she was hinting at it willingly, even if he found their company made him mind his chastity less and less, he couldn't help but want to dissuade her! "Well, I put more emphasis on getting to share a fun experience than on what's the most fair. And if we do go purely by what's most fair, it might deprive us unnecessarily of something we'd both enjoy."
"Well," she said, and then paused to quiver against him. "Nhh, being forever pent up with you sounds very thrilling too..."
Oh how his sheath pulsed and ached at forever. Prior to his lead on Matthias as another possible source of help he'd wondered on some more difficult nights if that was a fate he just needed to accept, worrying if he could accept something like that or if it would drive him mad; lack of progress since then and ample encouragement from Gwen and Barrassa had helped him find the frustration more arousing and enjoyable than he'd managed before, but still, thinking of being locked up for good made something inside him clench uncomfortably. "I don't think you really want that. That's a very long time, and you just asked if you could be let out! You'd change your mind."
The dragoness huffed again, more squirmy than ever. "I-I mean... You know me. Half the fun of asking to be let out is to be told no," she said more shyly. "And what could be more firm a no than to know I chose to make it impossible?"
"You'd miss the pleasure, and the relief. You'd get bored and wish you could change your mind... Besides, what if I really want to give you pleasure? It'd stop me, too." He gave her a lick on the cheek.
Barrassa shuddered against him, gear creaking, then lifted her snout to nibble his chin. "I'll hold you to that, then, once the weather turns."
Kerreth couldn't help but grin wide, in such a teasing mood himself and if anything egged on by how tight the chastity cage felt over his sheath. "Be sure you don't forget, then, by imagining it as much as you can stand from now until then."
"I-- Hhhnnnfff..." She shut her eyes again and writhed against him, gritting her teeth and arching her neck and twisting her hips back and forth in futility. "Gwen have you been teaching him how to tease me back? I'll go crazy if you two gang up on me like this!"
"You love it," tittered the gryphon. "At least you're not bridled so you can return fire, hmm?"
Whatever Barrassa might have huffed back was interrupted by a heavy knock at the door: five knocks, in fact, in a rhythmic pattern. All of them twisted nearly in unison to look, and then Kerreth glanced at the window, where snow continued to fall heavily outside, dissuading even dragons from going outdoors. Before he could wonder who it might be, though, Gwen rose from her chair and crossed to the door, murmuring as she went: "what could Matthias be doing out in this weather?"
The pattern of knocks must have been distinctive to the wizard for her to recognize it, and Kerreth shivered involuntarily: what else could have brought him here in such challenging weather, other than progress on his cursed chastity cage at last? His already-taut sheath pulsed just at the thought--that it could finally be time after all these years--only emphasizing how deeply their banter had worked him up, and he groaned softly, prompting Barrassa to stir against him, nosing him gently before reluctantly disentangling herself.
"Matthias! What brings--" she stopped, and sprang out of the way at once to usher the old human into the warmth. "And where is your coat? Come in, come in!"
Matthias hurried not just into the house but right over to the fire. He was certainly not dressed for the weather: his hat was snow-dusted and had protected his head, but otherwise he wore a short-sleeved, lightweight red robe that even a brief walk through the snow would have soaked and chilled him right through. "Thank you for being so prompt," he said, rubbing his arms to warm them. "I've been so far south for long enough that I didn't realize the season. Oh, even after just the walk up to your front door this fire feels good." Only then did he look up to see the two locked dragons sharing the room with him, but his expression only grew intent, rather than showing the amusement he usually felt at the dragons' bound and submissive state.
"Just how far south?" Gwen managed to get in before he could continue, following him towards the fireplace. "Did you-- magic your way here? What were you doing so far away?"
"Hunting Kira," he said, and from the seriousness in his voice Kerreth realized he hadn't come here with the breakthrough his straining desire longed for.
"You've found her," he growled, getting his hoofs beneath him and sitting up.
He nodded, removing his broad hat to shake off the snow, and set it down near the fire to dry. "We have. But we're on her turf--even with the whole council, five against one, the odds may be in her favor. So I've come here to ask for your help putting a stop to her."
Kerreth tipped his snout to the side, but he had very little inkling of how magic actually worked to understand how she could have the upper hand while so outnumbered. "Is she that much stronger than you?" No wonder no magician he'd sought had made any progress on his cage, in such a case.
"It's not her ability herself that's the issue, though she is highly skilled. It's the where. She's presumably been there for years, perhaps all the way back to since she disappeared from where you met her. That means she's had plenty of time to lay down defensive spells to protect herself, just waiting to be summoned when needed. Many spells aren't mobile in such a way, and we can't afford to spend forever trying to prepare our own before facing her: maybe she'll sense the magic we're working, maybe she'll come to disrupt us before we're ready, so we need to strike before she can. And I don't want us going in at such a disadvantage."
Gwen reached up to rub Kerreth's neck, clicking her beak anxiously. "You make it sound dangerous."
"It is dangerous," he said gruffly. "And I don't have the time to search out more wizards. Instead I hoped for help from someone strong, durable, and with plenty of his own reasons to want to stop her. Not to mention, someone not a wizard, who she may not be so prepared for." He nodded at Kerreth.
"She must know I'm still out here somewhere," Kerreth murmured.
"And that a dragon has disrupted her plans before--even if not on purpose," Barrassa put in.
"Kerreth," he said, "she's growing another crop of Spinetail. We haven't gone close enough to see just how far along it is, but it means she's still working on whatever plot you'd previously disrupted, and we don't want to let her get any closer to seeing it to fruition. Will you help us fight her?"
The red dragon couldn't keep himself from growling, feeling his lips pull back from his fangs just at the thought of the witch who'd caged him. It made no difference that he hadn't been minding the chastity so much lately: she was responsible for years of pent-up frustration, years he'd been given no choice but to endure, and he longed to pay her back for that. She certainly deserved a piece of his mind, if not his claws or his bite as well. "Yes. Of course I will."
Gwen turned to face him, hands sliding to either cheek to look at him close. "Are you sure? You're-- well--" She dropped her gaze, worried. "It doesn't seem like a task you're suited for..."
Kerreth looked down at himself. He supposed maybe that was true in her mind, considering she had hardly ever seen him without the hoofs, and the cuffs, and the harness. "Gwen," he said, reining in his flare of pride that her doubt had conjured to keep too much of an offended growl out of his voice, "I'm gentle with you, but I'm a dragon. I know what I'm capable of."
"It's just... difficult to imagine you as a fire-breathing monster, instead of a pony." She scratched his chin, soothing him enough to soften the growl to a rumble.
"I play the pony because I want to," he said, ignoring how just saying it like that made the bridge of his snout flush. "If I wanted to be free..." he said, and paused, looking down again. Could he get himself out of the tack if he really wanted to? So willing to play along as he'd been, he'd never truly tried. Obviously the chastity cage he could do nothing about. The chain on his cuffs looked solid, but against the power in his limbs? As for the hoof boots themselves, despite how much of each limb was covered it seemed like it wouldn't take too much work to chew through to free his claws--although, if he wore his bridle rather than having his snout free as it was now, what then? He tried not to let the little quiver that thought sent through him show, and snorted when the uncertainty of it made his cage start to tighten again. It didn't matter. "Regardless. I can help, and I want to help. Don't worry about me."
"And me. I want to help too," Barrassa said.
Matthias arched one bushy eyebrow; Gwen managed to look still more nervous, and when she saw the gryphon's wide eyes she snorted and stomped a hoof on the floor. "What? I'm a dragon too!"
"A dragon perfectly suited to the task," chuckled the old wizard. "I've seen what you've done to the inside of my house; you could make a mess of her crops without even needing to be let out of all that gear."
"That doesn't help either of you against a witch, though! At least Matthias has magic... how would either of you defend yourselves against whatever spells she casts?"
"Let me worry about the magic. It's because they don't rely on magic like I do that I think they'll be so helpful. I'd only meant to ask for Kerreth's help since he's the one with a real stake in this, but Barrassa, if you want to come we'll gladly have you along."
She snorted and bumped her latex-clad hip against Kerreth's. "She's keeping my stallion locked up. Of course I care too!"
His shaft pulsed again in that familiar prison. Could he really be so close? He leaned his snout against her neck, gave her a little nuzzle of thanks, but Gwen remained apprehensive. "I still don't like it. Now you're talking about three of my friends all going up against this witch! What if something happens to you?"
Kerreth had somehow thought the wizard too aloof for it, but he pulled her right into a firm hug, and after a few thumping steps and rattles of their chains both pony-dragons added warm, nuzzling snouts to the embrace. "Five wizards and two dragons make for quite a company. I thought one dragon would even the odds... With two, I think we can actually have the upper hand. We'll be all right, Gwen."
She leaned close against all three of them. "Okay... Okay. But you'd better bring my ponies back in one piece!"
"We'll come back fine," Kerreth said: if the old wise-seeming wizard said it, he could believe it too. "Who knows, I might even come back free!"
Matthias stepped back, collecting his hat from the hearth. "Speaking of free. Barrassa's destructive power while behoofed and hobbled might be unmatched, but I think you'd best unlock them both anyway," he said, and gave the dragoness a poke on the nose--and a teasing wink--when she huffed at him.
"Oh, if we must," the gryphon sounded relieved enough of her worry to play along, which helped bring back Kerreth's smile as she led them all back to the little stable. "Assuming we can both keep our wits in a house with two big fearsome dragons rather than a pair of docile, well-behaved ponies in proper restraint."
Grinning with all his teeth bared, Kerreth dipped his snout and growled playfully at her. "And who knows what mad ideas of freedom we might come back with, having been bereft of our harnesses and cuffs..."
The temperature dropped as they left the proximity of the fireplace and stepped out into the stable, though it was still far warmer than outdoors; Gwen snatched a set of keys from a ring on the wall, handed one to Matthias, then got to work with the other removing the many padlocks from Kerreth's pony tack. "Ideas like being an unchaste stallion. Who ever heard of such a thing! Yet you'd have to be, I don't have another cage for you... not that I'd make you wear one unless you wanted to, of course," she added, patting his side, before giggling again. "How unmanageable you'll surely be without something to hold you in check!"
He couldn't keep from shivering, glancing back at himself--Barrassa did too. "Gods, I hope. I hope I hope..." Four and a half years in the cage. Surely they'd defeat her, and along the way make her tell them how to get him out of there... He was so close. He'd waited so long.
"I'm sure you will. And I'll just drive Barrassa mad making her deal with all the attention you'll need," she said, drawing a yelp and a blush from the dragoness!
She shifted her weight back and forth and lashed her tail as the gryphon and the human removed the dragons' harnesses and wingbinders. "No fair! That'd be... hhnn. Really hot," she finished with a mumble, looking away and continuing to fidget in place.
"You three are shameless," Matthias said, giving Barrassa another poke between the nostrils before getting to work on her hoof boots.
"And you wouldn't have us any other way! Besides, where would these kinky dragons ever go for help without me to keep them under lock and key? They'd be lost without me," Gwen chirped, relieving him of his own boots and, finally, the latex suit. Beside him, Matthias did the same for Barrassa, in her case removing the chastity belt as well, until she was entirely free and he nearly was.
Matthias stepped back; Barrassa mantled her wings up a little and snarled at both the bipeds. "Looking more dangerous now, hmm?"
Gwen was next to swat her on the nose, entirely unfazed. "You brat. Do behave with the wizards, all right?" She looked up at them both, took a deep breath, let it out again. "I'll keep all your gear laid out for your return. I want all three of you to be careful and stay safe!"
"We will! We'll be back soon." She wriggled herself all over, scales rustling. "Already feel... naked without my tack."
Kerreth was inclined to agree; yes, they'd each been getting occasional breaks to go hunt for a few days' worth of meals, but that was still far more time wearing the pony gear than not! He made a point to loosen up his wings, flex his claws, and stretch his limbs wide, just to try to fix in his head right away that he wouldn't need to be keeping to the compact steps of his familiar hobbles.
"Like you said--you can dress up again all you want soon. We were planning to make our move in the morning, so we'd best go." Matthias gestured towards the door. "All that remains is to bring you two back with me and review the plans." He stopped to hug Gwen again. "We'll be back before you know it."
Kerreth bobbed his snout in agreement, and after giving her a nuzzle of his own he put his shoulder into the door. The snow piled against its other side resisted for a moment, but his strength won out--especially with the proper traction his claws provided!--and he levered it open. The four of them were greeted by a blast of cold and a snowstorm so thick they couldn't even see the paddock fence: certainly not flying weather, and wading through the drifts wouldn't get them anywhere fast either.
"I assume you have some sort of teleportation spell?" Barrassa said, sticking her snout outside, hissing at the cold, and hugging her wings around herself.
"A portal, but yes--even on your wings, in fair weather, getting there might take weeks. This will be much easier, especially with Daphne holding onto the other side for me to make the trip back. All I must do is..." he trailed off and paused for a moment, concentrating, then flung his hands wide; with a crack like thunder, a bright, whirling opening appeared in the air, broad enough for both dragons to pass through together if they wanted. The portal might as well have led to another world, as rather than seeing more of the driving storm the portal opened into a perfectly tranquil forest glade on a summery evening. A moment later a tall barn owl in a black cloak appeared off to one side, her eyes going wide when she saw the three of them assembled across the rift.
"Through you go now!" Matthias said, and Kerreth flinched: he'd been too awed by the display of magic to remember the purpose of that tear in the world. Bobbing his snout, he stepped through, followed by a little bit of the snowstorm, Barrassa, then the wizard himself, closing off the portal behind them just in time for the owl to make an excited screech.
"Two? Two dragons? You really are a wizard--how did you ever pull this off! Oh where are my manners. I am Daphne, a witch of the council, and let me be the first to thank you for your assistance," she said, and bowed formally.
Kerreth bobbed his snout in return. "I've been looking forward to the chance. My name's Kerreth."
"And I'm Barrassa."
"Looking forward?" The owl's head tipped to the side briefly, and she glanced between the dragons and the wizard, who'd already gone around them and towards the flickering light of a fire not far from the clearing they'd been transported into.
"I was cursed by the witch you're here to fight," he said, setting off after Matthias. "Thwarting her plans... and convincing her to remove that curse... seem like good payback to me."
Just how wide could an owl's eyes get? She stared again, startled. "She cursed you? How? If you're under a curse it might be better to not involve you. Or is that why you're here, to keep him on our side?" Daphne glanced in Barrassa's direction.
Kerreth growled. "I'm not cursed to obey her or anything like that... thankfully. Just the chastity cage."
"The what?" Plainly her attention hadn't made it past the dragon's wings; now she got a proper look, though the open stare at his balls and caged sheath made Kerreth's tail lash. Lacking the pony gear, having just the cage on made it feel like it stuck out all the more... "Oh. Oh my." He swore he could see the witch blushing through her feathers. "So that's why you're here, then," she said to Barrassa. "Helping free your mate from her clutches."
He'd never seen Barrassa really at a loss for words before then--even when bridled only Gwen's firm training could keep her quiet--but the assumption made Barrassa flinch and look away, wings twitching. "We're not-- yet anyway-- how could we even when--" she stammered, and only another small shout spared her from having to form a full answer: they had reached the fire he'd seen, where the other three wizards waited.
"Some more warning would have been appreciated--" huffed another human, this one dressed all in blue, who reached hurriedly for a staff he'd set down nearby. "And you said you were getting one of the beasts! However will you control two of them and fight Kira?"
This one must have never met a dragon before. "It should be as simple as sharing your plans for that confrontation, so we understand our role and can act accordingly," he snorted; Barrassa didn't even growl, instead just shifting her hind paws and looking away. The man's eyes widened, but he relaxed only slightly, while the other two wizards seemed unfazed by their arrival: a fox dressed in green, who seemed to be finishing his dinner, and a weasel in a white tunic who set aside her book to look up at the two of them with interest.
"Indeed," said Matthias drily. "Dragons, you've already met Daphne; the blue wizard there who needs to get out more is Patrick. Our white mage is Frieda, and the green is Lionel. As for the newcomers, the red is Kerreth, and the yellow is Barrassa."
Lionel set his plate aside. "Well met. I gather Kerreth is the one who got us back onto Kira's trail?"
"That's correct. It's his information that helped us find her and to understand what she might be planning." Matthias took one of the other seats around the fire.
"And a good thing that you did," said Frieda; she scooted her chair closer to Patrick, while Daphne picked hers up entirely and moved it to the other side of the fire, to give the two dragons space to join the circle. "The crop she's growing is the most Spinetail I've ever seen in one place. The sooner we can destroy it, the better."
The whole group nodded agreement, and the two dragons settled onto their haunches with them. "Destroy it, and stop her from running away and trying this again," Daphne said. "This is twice now we've been lucky to find her. We can't give her a third chance."
"Since you asked, Kerreth, the plan--such as it is--is simple. The five of us will engage Kira. Once we're all fighting, I'd like you two to go straight for her fields and trample all the Spinetail she has growing."
"Don't burn it," Frieda put in. "The fumes might be dangerous."
Matthias nodded. "Right. We need you to knock it down; we can safely dispose of it later. One of us will keep an eye on you when you go in, just to make sure you have protection if you spring any traps--your arrival is sure to distract her, especially when she realizes you're going straight for the plants. That should give us an opening, and once you've flattened her crop you can come help us seal the deal and get a shackle of silence onto her."
"Assuming we can keep her busy that long. She's been here undisturbed far too long for my liking," Patrick said.
"She's good," Lionel conceded, "but we have numbers. And from the sound of things this won't be the first crop she's lost to a dragon, which may make you two split her attention even more urgently." He shook his head. "To think she got four years in twice..."
"That's what worries me. Four years is a long time to set up all manner of creative traps."
"Maybe one of the dragons should help us straight away," Frieda suggested.
"They can't burn the Spinetail, but a fireball coming right at her face would be very distracting, I'm sure. And since it wouldn't be magic like my fire would be..." Daphne said, but Kerreth and Barrassa both flinched. "What? You two can breathe fire, right?"
"We can," Barrassa said. "But, if we did actually light her on fire..."
"I expected you to say she'd have magical protection if we tried it. Wouldn't she?" Kerreth turned his snout towards Matthias, uncertain.
"Like Lionel said, she's had a run-in with you before. So it's entirely possible she has some sort of ward prepared in case of another dragon attack. Like you said earlier, she must know you're still around somewhere, and certainly less than pleased with her."
"Ah," Lionel said a moment later. "Now I see the purpose of that... artifact you showed me earlier. I've never seen such dense spellwork before, except for the relic hall--no wonder you've had no luck with it."
There was a pause that made Kerreth growl, his snout flushing hot as, surely, six pairs of eyes all turned to look between his hind legs. He shifted one of his paws a little closer to his sheath, resisting the urge to tug the solid padlock with a claw. "I would like her to still be alive to tell one of you how to get this off me, yes," he said, the continuing deep growl rattling his voice. "But it sounds like you think she would be ready to block some fire if I did attack her?"
Another nod from Matthias. "I expect she'd likely be able to deflect it, yes, which would then make it an issue for us also trying to fight her. One of the reasons I want you to go for the Spinetail first, so we don't get in each other's way while we're all just getting started and have lots of spells ready to throw at each other."
"Fair enough," said Barrassa. "You handle her, and we'll rampage through her garden. Sounds good to me."
"Yes, I figured it'd be right up your alley. We'll head out at dawn; her estate is a couple miles that way, with a good ridge between us and her for cover until we're close," he gestured to the north. "Any other questions?" When the dragons tilted their heads, he went on, "good. We have some spell coordination to review, but you two can get some rest--I know it's later back home than it is here."
It was good advice; Kerreth could have used a long sleep to settle his nerves. But when he and Barrassa found a clear spot between the mages' tents to rest, his thoughts turned to what tomorrow could bring and would not let him rest. He believed--he wanted to believe--that they could defeat Kira together. That he might bed down for sleep a night from now and, for the first time in years, he'd be free. What he'd longed for since he'd met the witch might finally come true...
Or it might not. There was a chance they could fail, or even if they won, a more likely chance that Kira would be far too resentful of her defeat to help him. Though even if she refused, then he'd have five of the world's greatest wizards who all owed it to him to help, right? Even if it wasn't tomorrow, it'd surely come soon after? And he needed it so badly, no matter how hard Gwen and Barrassa had been trying to make the torment of being so pent up feel fun... He would not let them lose to her. He could not. But what if...?
His thoughts coiled themselves in circles most of the night, and the more he dwelled on them the more he felt aware of that damned cage. His sheath pulsed, his dormant cock twitched, making him ache as he had so, so many times over the last few years, making him wish he could just be rid of the thing... Kerreth had not minded it so much lately, able to act as if--ngh--as if there was no reason to even imagine it ever coming off and just enjoy the fun of having it on, but now that the possibility really was there, seemingly so close to reality, it was impossible to get out of his head! Of course he needed it to come true, his dragonhood ached for it to come true, and it took such concentration not to disturb Barrassa, such willpower not to move his hips no matter how badly he needed to grind on something... The cylindrical cage of steel so tight, the pressure of the ring on his balls, it felt all the more unbearable from the thought he might finally be rid of it so soon!
Or he might not...
Maybe he slept an hour; maybe he didn't sleep at all. But dawn came at last, the others roused, and after a soft discussion they hiked to the north to find the witch. They emerged from the woods onto a high, breezy plain, surrounded by the sounds of birds and insects who cared little for the anthros and dragons who strode past, and Kerreth's anxiety wound tighter and tighter the closer they came. He kept quiet, tried to stay calm, except perhaps for a few pauses to shake out the muscles of his wings; the tension was making his shoulders ache, and Barrassa nuzzled him encouragingly as they approached the bluff that looked down on Kira's estate.
"We part here," said Matthias. "We'll take the main road in; you should be able to see us just fine from up here. Once we've started to fight, you two go for the Spinetail. Remember, no flames around those plants, and yell if there's any lurking magic that gives you trouble--we'll try to keep an eye out when you fly in, but she might be keeping us busy."
The wizards marched off as a troop, leaving the dragons alone. Kerreth took a long, slow breath, in and out, but it did little to ease his nerves; he kneaded his claws in the earth, digging small furrows, and lashed his tail back and forth. Barrassa nuzzled his neck. "Are you all right?"
"Couldn't sleep," he said. "Too... worried about how today might go. Whether I'll get free."
"I'm sure you will. It'll go fine." She draped her wing over his back and pressed herself in close. "Either we'll make her do it, or the wizards will figure it out themselves once she's out of the way and they have the time to spare for you."
"But what if--"
"Kerreth." She lifted a paw to his cheek, turned his snout to face hers, and nuzzled him again. "We'll be fine. We can handle her together. Then we'll get you out."
She sounded confident; he wanted to feel the same, but Kira had so easily handled him once before, as the chastity cage proved... Could they really do it?
Barrassa stiffened against him. "There she is!"
He realized he hadn't even dared to look down over the ridge; now he reluctantly he crept forward, crouched low to hide his silhouette as he peeked over the bluff. He might have been looking down at any noble family's country estate: a broad, smooth road led up to a pair of gates, which the wizards had already opened and walked through. Through the gates, the path led to a grand staircase up to the front door of a large mansion, a couple off smaller outbuildings adjacent perhaps for servants or stables. Next to the path there was a wide open lawn, and beyond that, row after row of plants in a vivid blue-violet color; all of it felt so horribly familiar, it set his heart fluttering. It looked so similar to where he'd first met her... It might have been the very same house, transported to a new location.
It was so jarring that Barrassa had to nip his neck and gesture with her snout to help him notice the witch herself, and if he hadn't felt twitchy enough before, now his heart began to race in earnest. The anthro dragoness stood boldly at the edge of the lawn, her wings flared out and a hand pointing towards the five wizards now arraying themselves before her; they were too far away to pick out any words, but whatever stern proclamations they had for each other didn't last long. Kira drew her wings in and brought her hands together at her belly, spawning a quartet of violet orbs around herself, while the wizards circled her and settled into their own casting positions, spells prepared, each of them just waiting for another to make the first move.
Kerreth gathered his wings, taking in a shaky breath. This was the moment.
Patrick attacked first, the crack of a thunderbolt echoing off the surrounding cliffs, which Kira parried and responded to with some sort of purplish bolt of her own that he barely managed to avoid. That was the signal: the other mages loosed their own spells, blasts of light and fire and other arcane energies flooding their battlefield with power, and now it was time for the dragons to make their move. "Let's go!" he said, propelling himself forward and lifting off, and as soon as his wings were clear she took to the air right behind him, swooping down the face of the cliff to race towards the rows of Spinetail at high speed. Barrassa let out a roar that drowned out even the crackling energies of the spells, and Kerreth's wings tingled as he crossed over a low fence that circled the estate.
"Look out--" Some sort of brightly glowing net had appeared in their path; Barrassa snatched at the tip of his tail, her wings flaring, and he flung himself to the side. He banked hard, throwing all the strength of his shoulders against the air to try to change course--not enough--
A scythe of white energy blasted through the net and it split apart, the lights fizzling and its structure collapsing as the spell broke apart. Having so broken his momentum Kerreth nearly flipped himself backward, and Barrassa had to twist to avoid crashing into him. The trap was down, and Kerreth spared a glance towards the magical battle to guess who'd saved them--Frieda?--only to find they'd attracted Kira's attention. One of the orbs she'd spawned flared, then sent another bolt towards each dragon! With barely any speed left, Kerreth simply folded his wings and dropped to avoid one blast; Barrassa had a moment less to react and rolled, but it wasn't enough and the other magical attack caught her in the belly, sending her spinning with a yowl of pain.
His heart pounded in his ears at the sound, and he righted himself to chase after her, wincing as she landed heavily and tumbled through the grass. "Ow! Rrrgh!" She narrowly got her wings tucked in time, her paws flailing, and wound up sprawled on her back, dazed; Kerreth skidded to a stop next to her, and that her scales hadn't been broken by the spell did nothing to ease his worry.
"I'm... all right... go!" she said. "Just hurts--be right behind you..."
If she'd come to help him and been hurt-- Too late. They were committed now and everyone was counting on him. Snarling, he leapt forward once again, speeding himself along with a couple beats of his wings until he was once again among those odd purplish plants, and he hoped that distant shout he heard was Kira being dismayed and distracted from her own fight to watch him destroy her years of effort growing these awful things for the second time! Keeping his wings spread, he dropped his body low to the ground and dashed through, trampling the rows directly beneath him and using his wing-arms to hit as many more as he could. Those at the edges of his wings resisted; those close to his body were struck by the thicker, sturdier sections of his wings and collapsed as he ran them over. As best he could remember, this field was still bigger than the one he'd stomped by accident: it might take three or four passes, and once he'd scythed a fair portion with his first sweep he swung around and galloped back the way he'd come.
That let him see how the rest of the group fared: Barrassa, to his relief, was slowly gathering her feet and standing--though she still looked shaky--but the wizards were in worse shape. Daphne had been thrown nearly all the way to the fence; Frieda was flat on her back, seemingly pinned down trying to defend herself from something; Matthias was doing all he could do protect himself and Patrick from some whirling maelstrom of energy, and there was no sign of Lionel at all. No, there--he appeared out of thin air like he'd surfaced from a pool, lunging towards Kira with some sort of bright object in his hand, and she hardly even looked in his direction before blasting him away through the air to land somewhere near Daphne.
Even through the haze of magic he could see Matthias wince. They couldn't take her on their own. Forget the plants, those could wait: they needed a dragon!
Kerreth grit his teeth, dug his claws into the earth, and charged.
He didn't know what magic he was throwing himself into. He knew whatever the witch-dragoness was using hit hard; it'd been enough to fling two of the anthros several dragon-lengths, and enough to knock Barrassa out of the sky, but there was nothing else for it. The wizards needed his help, needed a more urgent distraction than just destroying the Spinetail, and it was up to him. He didn't waste his breath roaring, or gathering fire, he just galloped into the fray at full speed. Let her see if her magic had the force to stop a charging dragon!
He saw her look in his direction, and smirk, and raise the hand she'd just used against Lionel. He was still several strides away, running fast as a dragon could go, just hoping he could distract her enough, knowing that this was sure to hurt, hoping this would give one of them just enough room to do something-- And Matthias did. The shining red energy within her battering whirlwind of magic around himself and Patrick brightened, brightened, and then shattered, blowing back her spell with enough of a kick to stagger all of them. Her purple energy lanced by him off-target, and then Kerreth was there! He lashed out with a forepaw, sending Kira sprawling with her wings flapping for balance, and sprang after her, skidding to a stop to plant a forepaw on her chest and shove her down into the grass, roaring in her face.
His bellow echoed all around them; then she recovered enough to raise her head, her smile returning as her violet gaze met his own furious hazel eyes. "Long time no see, big guy... Miss me?"
Kerreth's sides heaved; his tail lashed. He finally had her in his grasp. "Surrender," he snarled, snapping his bared fangs at her.
"Aww, just like that? No time to catch up? I know why you must be here... They can't help you with your pretty little cage, but I can," she purred, seeming totally at ease despite his giant paw pinning her down. "I'm sure you must be so frustrated, but I can change that."
He pressed down a little harder. It was enough to make her lift a hand to touch his paw, but no way did she have the strength to throw him off. He tried to ignore his body's yearning, striving to bury it beneath the rushing adrenaline. "I said surrender!"
"Don't you want to be free? It's been such a long time, after all. I'll make you a deal." She gestured with her other hand. "Help me take care of this... wizard infestation... and I'll let you out. No servitude, no waiting for more plants to grow. This one small favor and you're free." The witch's eyes bored into him. "I know you want it... You need it..."
Kira plainly expected him to hesitate, to consider it; even Kerreth himself might have thought he should have, and there had surely been many a time his pent-up libido had hoped for just this sort of chance for release. But this witch had tried before to use the threat of chastity to force his obedience; she'd tried to poison or kill those around her; she'd hurt Barrassa; and if he helped her now, who knew how many people might be in danger, now or in the future. In that moment there was no choice to make.
He stomped his paw down harder still and roared.
Something cracked in her chest and she cried out, the light that had gathered in her free hand winking out--he hadn't even noticed it until it died. "Ahhh! Aaa! Okay okay--I yield!" she gasped, high and soft. He relented, but only slightly, watching her with deep suspicion: what spell had she almost used before he'd stopped her? What else could she have up her sleeve? "Ease up... I... think you broke my rib, you brute!"
He did no such thing, not until Patrick dashed over and locked a silvery cuff covered in runes over her wrist, and the dim glow faded from the amethysts she wore. Only then did he take his paw off her, step back, and look around. To his relief Barrassa was up and walking over to them, looking a little wobbly but otherwise unharmed; Frieda, Daphne and Lionel had all picked themselves up to rejoin the group as well. "What was she hitting everyone with?" he asked Matthias.
"Force, mostly. Packs a hell of a punch, but only physical. I think we'll be all right. You picked the right time to intervene." He patted Kerreth on the shoulder, then turned his attention to Kira. "As for you--"
"Spare me," the dragoness muttered, gingerly sitting up, using her wings to lever herself to keep pressure off her chest.
"--You can look forward to being locked in one of our towers and forgetting all those dark plans we've had to stop. Maybe someday we'll let you use your skill for good, if you can prove you're trustworthy."
Kerreth ruffled up his wings as Barrassa joined them. "You can start using your magic for good by telling one of them how to unlock this chastity cage."
"Unlock it?" She started to laugh, only to wince when it hurt her chest. "You've ruined a decade of plans, cost me vast sums of wealth, and gotten me captured by these fools. Why would I ever help you?"
Barrassa hissed at her. "Maybe to avoid the wrath of two vengeful dragons."
"Even if I could, I wouldn't," she said, struggling to her feet with a grunt of pain. "And I can't. It's inert mana anyway. Sorry, but your boyfriend's never getting that cage off."
Kerreth stumbled back to his haunches. "You-- What? It's what?" His whole body trembled. It couldn't be true.
"You used inert mana on him?" Lionel cried.
"I was angry! He'd just wiped out a massive investment of money, time, and magic! I knew I'd have plenty of time to make more after that setback, and he deserved it."
Barrassa stomped a paw; Kerreth was still too shocked to speak. "Explain."
Lionel took over. "Inert mana is a special type of mana for spellcasting that's difficult and expensive to make, usually used in the forging of enchanted objects like weapons and armor. What makes it so useful for that application is that once it's used to enchant something, it solidifies, magically speaking. Whatever form it's been magicked into, whatever enchantments it's been imbued with, it stays that way." He shook his head, and knelt down to give Kerreth's sheath a closer look. "I didn't see it before because Matthias's was only a copy, so it wasn't the same. But... that's... that's inert mana all right. It's the last thing you deserve, after performing so heroically," he said, giving the witch a sharp glare, "but she's correct. There's nothing we can do about it."
He stared down at himself, at his sheath and balls, at the cage still looking so flawless and polished locked over it. He felt numb, unsure whether to roar or strike her or just fly away as fast as his wings could carry him. All that searching, all that effort, and it was never coming off?
"Is it true?" he asked quietly, plaintively. Maybe Lionel had seen it wrong; maybe she was trying to stop them from looking to spite him. "But you just offered to free me if I helped you."
"I was lying," she sneered at him. "Once you'd dealt with all of them for me, I could have just ensorcelled you to do my bidding. Such a shame--you would have made the perfect pent-up pawn. At least I'll know you're not escaping my revenge."
"Be quiet, or we'll silence your voice too," Matthias snapped. "Kerreth, listen... I'm sorry. You don't deserve this, and I wish I could tell you there was something we could do, but there just isn't." He paused, and sighed. "The best I can say is that you did the right thing. You didn't let her tempt you, you didn't let her lie to you, and in doing so you've saved many lives--twice over. Her retribution isn't a worthy reward, but it's important to remind yourself that you made the right choices."
Kerreth took a long, shuddering breath, still staring at himself, at the invulnerable, eternal padlock, at his dragonhood that would never be free. He could understand what the old wizard was saying, that no matter how unpleasant his sacrifice--made intentionally or not--surely discomfort and frustration for him could be outweighed by the knowledge that she could no longer threaten anyone else, that people who'd unknowingly been in danger were now safe. He knew that surely only the most selfish of beings would choose something like being able to get hard, which sounded so trivial next to the very lives of others... But it was still so hard to accept, even after all the time he'd already spent chaste, that he really would stay that way. All that time spent hoping and longing and seeking solutions, and he wouldn't get it back.
And the more he thought about it, the tighter the cage became!
Barrassa flung her wings around him, nuzzling firmly into his neck, and he leaned gratefully into her touch. "Kerreth, it's all right. It's all right. I know it's disappointing. It'll be all right..."
He clung to her, curling his claws at the impotent ache between his hinds. "I know. If I hadn't... If I'd never hunted there in the first place, I would have probably been caught up by her original plot, and that would surely be worse than this. I just-- I hoped, for a very long time. I'll be ok," he said, half for her to hear, half for himself. Surely there were worse fates than this, right? Especially a fate that he'd found himself enjoying recently as she and Gwen encouraged him to embrace such submissive feelings...
Of course, that was when he thought there might still be a chance for relief.
Abruptly he did not want to be anywhere near the witch-dragoness any longer, nor any other stranger. "Matthias--please send us home."
"I-- of course. Gwen will be waiting to hear from us, anyway, but we'll need to dispose of the Spinetail and deal with her before I can come with you. Daphne?"
The owl nodded to him, and the two wizards stood back to back for a few moments; then Daphne wove a set of patterns in the air, lifted her hands, and brought them down forcefully through the magic she'd cast. A whirling circle appeared before her, stretching wider and wider until it was broad enough for the dragons to fit through, and it lifted his spirits a little to find such a familiar sight waiting on the other side for them: Gwen's house, nearly dazzlingly bright from the sun that shown down on the snowdrifts piled all around.
"Kerreth, Barrassa--thank you so much for your help. We couldn't have done this without you," Daphne said, and the rest of them added their own agreement; Kira only scowled.
"Glad to help," he said, and stepped through, his scales rattling as the temperature plummeted and his paws sank into the snow. Barrassa hopped through after him, then the portal snapped shut as she waded over to the door to their little stable.
"Gwen, Gwen! We're back!" she roared, sweeping snow away from the door so they could open it.
The gryphon burst out nearly as soon as they got the door cleared, bouncing up to hug Barrassa around the neck, and Kerreth too a moment later. "Oh, thank goodness! I'm so-- Is Matthias okay? And-- And you still have the cage on. They're haven't quite figured out how yet, and she wouldn't say?"
He heaved a deep sigh as he followed her into the stable, Barrassa behind him. "Matthias is fine," he said, to dispel that worry first. "But the chastity cage--it was permanent all along. Not even the witch can take it off, they all said."
Her eyes went wide. "What? Oh no! Kerreth--I'm so sorry!"
The dragon bobbed his snout, leaning into her hands when she reached up to pet his snout. The touch and their shared concern really did help, perhaps because they'd been the ones to help him cope with it and even have fun wearing it over the past months. "Yes. It's... it's really disappointing, but..." He looked back at himself, not quite finding the words.
"Kerreth--I just realized," Barrassa said. "That other part you told us, about how it would lock down if you ever had an orgasm. If the magic can't change like they said, then obviously that was a lie! You can cum without having to fear it!" she said, striving to find some positive outcome to make him feel better.
"Or it's always been enchanted to stop me from getting off, and I was just too afraid to ever find out," he growled. "I--don't think I want to know, at least not yet. Maybe another day we can try, together."
Barrassa blushed; her eyes fell to her pony gear still laid out and waiting--specifically her chastity belt.
Gwen took his snout in her hands, looking into his eyes. "Are you going to be all right?"
He flopped onto his belly, letting her hold up his chin. "I... Gwen, I looked forward to freedom for a very long time, and I tried so very hard to find it. But at the same time, spending the last couple of months with you two, being teased, having being all pent up get incorporated into this pony play, and having fun doing all of that... It makes it very confusing. ...conflicting." He shifted his wings restlessly. "Because it was a whole lot of fun, and until Matthias showed up yesterday, I was looking forward to how the rest of winter was going to go with you two, and hardly even worrying about when I'd get out of chastity! So now I know that I don't have freedom to look forward to, but I also know that we've been having a really good time together and a lot of that time has been focused on taking advantage of the fact I'm locked in this cage!"
It didn't help that talking about it like that and thinking about all the teasing he'd received from the gryphon and the pony-dragoness immediately made his cage very, very tight, and he groaned, shifting a paw back to cradle his balls, press the end of the cage against his foreleg and roll his hips gently. Rrrhh.
She blinked, and Barrassa gave his neck a little nudge. "Are you worried that will change how you feel about the pony play? If you want to stop..."
He shook his snout. "I liked the pony play and the teasing. I liked it... a lot, actually. I just-- Sometimes I really, really wish I could get out of my sheath!" He yanked on the padlock and the bars of the cage, but only gently, like he had so many times before, not a frantic or desperate motion. "It's really frustrating... but there's nothing I can do about it. I don't like not having a choice--well. Sort of. I do enjoy it, very much sometimes, when I don't have a choice because you're training me. Either way--I know that I can enjoy being locked up. So I should embrace it, rather than resenting it... right?"
"You're my friend, and I want to see you happy." She stroked his nose a few more times. "But I think you've answered it yourself. If you try to ignore it because you resent it, you won't be happy. If you try to embrace and enjoy it, you will; you said yourself you've been having fun playing with us!"
Kerreth quivered. His chest felt a little tight, but it was a sensation almost of relief welling up in him now, trying to burst through the day's stress. He took another deep breath, and again, trying to will the tension out of himself--only partially successful, thanks to the paw he still had between his hind legs. Damned tight, teasing cage... "Rrrh-- right. I have. So I think I should--the pony routine will help remind me I'm so... used to it, I think. But not today," he said. "I think after this morning, a little freedom will do me good."
"We could go flying, maybe?" Barrassa suggested. "Well--I do need one piece of gear on first. Got to be fair to the caged stallion."
"For now," he said, and straightened himself out to nip at her.
She nipped back, and held still so Gwen could obligingly lock her back into her chastity belt; she shivered just a little when it latched shut, then licked his neck. "I'm just happy you want to stay and keep playing with us! I-- I didn't want to say anything when you weren't sure how you felt, but... I still think your chastity is really, really hot--and being permanent too makes it even more so." She shivered a little and pressed her tail to her flanks. "Even if it means certain things will have to stay fantasies..."
He stood up and tested his wings briefly. "Yes, I know. But let's... take it a little easy teasing me about that until I've had a little more time, all right? I just need a chance to let it sink in."
"Right--I'm sorry. Let's just enjoy flying for a little while without any of that, you're right!" She nuzzled him and purred. "It'll feel so much better to fly without some witch flinging magic at us, too! And I promise I'll save all the teasing until you're ready to be a pony again."
"Appreciated. But... yes." His sheath throbbed once more, as he supposed was the best he could look forward to expressing his arousal, now--unless it turned out they could find a way to get him off in the chastity cage after all. "I think I'll look forward to it."
