Wifwolf Gets Her Woof Back (WIFWOLF)
A green for /wifwolf/
A man's wolfy wife experiences a mid life crisis and doesn't think she can be the fearsome wolfess she once was. He tries to prove her wrong.
~3,300 words
>”Anon this is a stupid idea, we’re going to get laughed out of the resort.”
>I take my eyes off the road look towards my pouting wifwolf, her arms crossed and ears down
>”Stupid idea?! This is just what you wanted isn’t it? We get to spend a few days away from the pups, just you and me, in the vast untamed wilderness. You’re going have a lot of fun out there hunting game and I’ll stay at the campsite with a bag of marshmallows just in case your hunt doesn’t go so well.”
>”Anon, we both know these hunting resorts are for the younger folk. We went to this one when we were what, twenty? We’re both on the cusp of forty now, it isn’t the same.”
>”We had plenty of fun back then and we’ll have even more fun now.” I confidently assure her. “There is no age limit on entry Susan. Sure, most of the people at these places tend to be young anthros searching for their inner instincts or whatever but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your blood pumping and fangs out just as well as they can! It’ll be a great way for you to get out of this funk you’ve been in.”
>She sighs, resting her head against the window
>”Sorry hon, it’s just, I don’t know. I feel so dull, so boring, so overly domesticated. I love our pups, I do, but I just can’t stand being in the house all day taking care of them anymore. After so many years of it I just want to run, and jump, and chase something down for once. You know, be a little wild again. Kind of hard to do that when you’ve got all of this…”
>She looks down and squishes some of the belly fat gained from multiple pregnancies, a sour look on her face
>”Open your mouth.” I order
>She cocks her curiously
>”Just do it, I want to see something.” I say
>She relents and opens her maw, rows of shiny teeth now visible
>I reach a hand over and rub some of her smooth enamel before suddenly pulling it back
>”Ow!” I shout, shaking my hand. “Trust me babe, you’re still dangerous where it counts!”
>We both break into giggles and I pull into the parking lot of the hunting resort
>These hunting resorts all tended to be organized the same way
>There’s a main lodge with rooms for each couple with electricity, food, air conditioning, and all other creature comforts one would find in a typical vacation resort
>But behind it is where the real fun is
>An expansive stretch of forested wilderness runs for miles in every direction, filled with all sorts of game
>Deer, rabbits, birds, squirrels, if you could catch it, it was yours
>Each couple was also assigned a campsite somewhere within the forest with a tent and fire pit, dirt trails connecting each site with the main lodge for easy navigation
>Most of these places were geared towards young anthro couples who wanted a safe environment to let some of their natural hunting instincts out, not that it stopped herbivore species or those without natural hunting implements, like humans, from staying
>After grabbing our bags and entering our room it was soon time for the standard safety briefing to commence
>We head down to the main lobby with the other resort goers, true to what Susan said most of them tend to be much younger than us
>A large black bear stands in the center of the lobby, his arms full of pamphlets and a T shirt declaring him as resort staff struggling to contain his dense fur
>“Thanks for coming down everyone!” He shouts in a low baritone. “Welcome to the Redwood hunting resort and nature preserve. Now that we’re all here it’s time to do the same song and dance I do for every newly arrived group of guests. But first, have any of you been here before?”
>Susan looks to me and gently shakes her head side to side
>What a bashful wolfess, this is no time to be shy
>I raise my hand high in the air
>The bear notices it and smiles
>”Wonderful! Always good to see repeat customers! When was your last stay?”
>”Honey don’t…” Susan whispers, her voice laced with subtle threat
>”It was the summer of 99! We had a great time!” I happily answer
>She nudges me in the side with a bony elbow, I grimace and accept the pain
>”That’s great! It really makes me happy to see a couple with the fire of the hunt still in their hearts even after so long. What did you catch the last time you were here?”
>I look to Susan and let her respond
>”Ummm, if I’m remembering correctly we got a couple of hares and a deer.”
>”A good hunt. How big was the deer?”
>Her ears flatten against the side of her head
>”It was a doe, on the smaller side. Nothing to be too proud about.”
>”Still, more guests than you know leave empty handed at the end of their stays!” He says with a hearty laugh. “You should be proud of what your natural instincts got you.”
>”Ya…” She meekly responds
>The bear claps his hands and looks around at the other guests
>”But just because you’ll be out hunting with teeth and claws doesn’t mean you have to be unsafe while you do it! Everyone take a pamphlet and I’ll go over it with you. First of all we have a strict no littering policy on the preserve, then there’s the…”
>The bear hands out pamphlets and goes over the rules of the hunting resort, most of it’s just common sense and safety regulations they have to put in place for legal purposes
>When the brief is over me and Susan shuffle out of the lobby with everyone else
>Yet I can’t help but overhear a conversation from a couple behind us…
>”Honestly, I was half expecting her to say brontosaurus.”
>”Ya and where was that human’s wooden spear and animal hides?”
>”Must have lost them when the meteor hit! Ha!”
>The assholes behind us break into laughter and my face flushes red
>I pull Susan closer, hurrying her to our room
>We arrive to find a box on our bed, room service must have placed it while we were gone
>Susan cuts it open and peeks inside
>”What is it?” I ask
>She reaches in the box and pulls out a revealing leather bra and skirt, holding them up to her body
>”I am not wearing these.” She spits
>”Oh, I forgot about the cosplay stuff they give us. I thought they just wanted our sizes for t-shirts or something. What did they get for me?”
>She reaches back in the box and pulls out a string with a small loincloth attached to it
>”Yaaaa, I'm not wearing that either. Shirts and shorts it is.”
>She shakes her head approvingly and puts the clothes back in the box
>By the time we’ve unpacked our things and had dinner it’s already nighttime
>We decide to get a good night of sleep in before trekking to our campsite first thing in the morning, it’s been a long day
>We awake to a shining sun the next day
>After a quick breakfast at the lodge we gather our camping equipment and begin the hike to our designated campsite
>The mosquitos are huge, and my legs are going to be sore as hell tomorrow, but after a lengthy trek we arrive at our little base camp
>On the bright side Susan’s spirits seems to have improved immensely on the hike down here, something about all that outdoor walking must have awakened her primal side
>After setting our packs down I kneel by the fire pit
>”Hey Susan, you can begin the hunt if you want, I’ll get a fire going so we can roast whatever you catch.”
>Yet it’s as if she doesn’t hear me, she’s intently scanning the forest with her eye and ears
>”Hey! Earth to wolf lady!”
>That finally gets her attention and she turns to me with a big dumb smile
>”Ya? What’s up?”
>”I said you can start the hunt if you want. I’ll get a fire going.” I repeat
>”Sure you don’t want to come with me?”
>”Yes, you know what happened the last time I tried to join you back in 99.”
>”You fell down that hill and broke your-“
>”Right. And it took forever to heal. Plus you’ll be stealthier alone, paw pads are much quieter than big stompy hiking boots.”
>”Alright, I’ll come back as soon as I catch something.”
>”So you’ll be back within an hour then?” I say with a cheeky smile
>”I don’t know about that.” She says, hands on her hips. “It’s been forever since the last time we were here and back then I had a lot more muscle on me. Now I’m all soft. I barely have the reflexes to swat a fly much less chase a rabbit through the underbrush.”
>”Muscle or not, you still have your nose, ears, claws, and teeth. More than enough to catch whatever you put your mind to. And don’t look at your body so negatively, some of that new softness went to all the right places.”
>”And what do you mean by that?” She quickly questions me, arms crossed
>”You went up two cup sizes after our first pup, maybe more.”
>She chortles before looking up to me with a shy smile
>”Thanks for the compliment Anon. Well I'm off, don’t want to waste any more daylight.”
>She starts heading into the forest and I shout over to her
>”Just don’t try to depopulate the entire forest okay? The other couples need some prey too!”
>”No promises!” She yells over her shoulder with a wide smile
>She disappears into the trees and I sit alone at the campsite
>And sit
>And sit
>And sit
>It’s 4 in the afternoon and she still hasn’t come back
>So I just gather more firewood from the forest and continue to dutifully maintain the fire
>It isn’t until the sun is well below the horizon that I hear finally hear her approach
>A rustling in some nearby bushes gives away her position and she comes into view
>Mud is caked all over her legs and hands, her once white shirt is now a rainbow of earth tones, her fur is soaking wet and it isn’t from sweat, she must have fallen into a stream
>My downtrodden wife slowly approaches the fire and sits down, a foul look on her face
>It goes without saying she didn’t catch anything
>After stewing in miserable silence for a few moments I decide to break the ice
>”That bad huh?”
>She gives a slow nod of the head and speaks
>”I found a deer. Thought I could catch it. But I ended up spooking it and it ran. It came across a stream and jumped across it, I…didn’t make it all the way across.” She finally looks me in the eye, shame oozing from every pore. “I’m sorry honey, no roasted meat for tonight. I wasn’t good enough.”
>I pat her on the shoulder and give a reassuring smile
>”There’s always tomorrow. Want to head to the lodge and take a nice long bath?”
>”You have no idea.” She scoots closer and rests her head on my shoulder. “But first I need a breather. I was giving it my all out there.”
>”Sounds good. Marshmallows?” I ask, retrieving a bag of the sugary things
>She mumbles an affirmative and we roast some marshmallows over the fire before making the trek back to the lodge in the darkness
>I catch some of the other guests shooting awkward glances at us as we enter the lobby but I don’t care, Susan did her best and deserves a relaxing end to today, catch or no catch
>I take a quick shower then let Susan soak in the tub
>Dinner is brought to our room and very quickly eaten
>She joins me in bed and we once again await the new day
>During breakfast she refuses to eat anything, saying that maybe a bit of hunger will activate her latent hunting instincts and help her actually catch something today
>I disagree but if that’s how she wants to motivate herself then so be it, worst case scenario we just eat at the lodge again
>Another trek down to the campsite, this time with painfully sore legs, and I’m making a fire while she prepares to go on another hunt
>We say farewell to each other, she walks into the woods, and I am once again tending the fire by my lonesome
>It isn’t until sunset that she returns
>I hear a few twigs breaking and spot my wolfy wife approach
>Her legs are covered in dirt, her fur is pointing every direction, and she’s panting pretty hard…but she’s got a limp hare in her mouth! Success!
>I get up and walk over to her slowly clapping the entire way
>“Congratulations honey! First catch of the stay!”
>She drops the hare into her paws to speak, wiping some sweat from her brow
>”It’s only one but you’re right, I'm getting my mojo back! I managed to get close enough to it I could just leap forward and catch it in my jaws!”
>I rub her head and smile
>”That’s my stealthy predator of a wife! Good job.”
>She hands me the hare and I bring it to the fire
>I search my backpack for my knife to prepare the hare and…fuck
>”Damnit, I brought the wrong backpack down Susan, this one’s just got clothes and my laptop in it.”
>”I can head over to the lodge and get it.” She offers, but before she gets up I motion for her to sit down
>”No, you caught dinner tonight, I’ll go get it.”
>She glances towards the forest taking in the rapidly approaching darkness
>”You sure? It’ll be nighttime soon. I can see better in the dark than you can.”
>”I’ll be fine, I did remember to bring my headlamp after all. See you in a bit.”
>She waves goodbye and I fasten my headlamp to my head
>Ya know, this place can get pretty creepy after dark
>Strange sounds in the trees, everything covered in an inky blackness, not even the moon shows due to heavy cloud cover
>But I’ll be fine, there aren’t any large predators in this-“
>*AWOOOOooooooo*
>The sudden wolf call makes me stop in my tracks
>There aren’t supposed to be any wolves in this forest
>Was that Susan?
>I don’t think it was Susan, she hasn’t made a wolf call in years
>If it was a feral wolf I'm pretty screwed out here
>Still, I trudge on with my head on a swivel and heart beating out of my chest
>I hear some twigs breaking and see something move out of the corner of my eye
>I turn to view it and two unsettling yellow eyes stare right at me
>”Hello? Susan?”
>No response
>The eyes begin to growl and I turn tail, running into the forest to get away from the beast
>The sounds of cracking branches and my own heavy breathing fills my ears as I run through bushes and squeeze between tree trunks, desperate to gain distance from whatever is chasing me
>Yet whatever it is seems to be gaining on me, a combination of panting and snarling grows louder somewhere to my rear
>Filled with renewed vigor I increase my pace and run down a short hill
>I pickup the glint of flowing water at the bottom of the hill, there’s a stream there
>If I can jump across it maybe I can lose whatever’s chasing me…
>As the stream draws closer I feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins and my heart beating a rapid rhythm
>The stream is only seconds away yet the snarls of my unknown assailant sound right behind me, if I don’t make this jump I'm toast
>My feet reach the edge of the stream, I leap forward with all my strength, and land on the other side!
>But as I do a sharp pain screams up my ankle
>I try to take another step only to fall down chest first
>At the same time I hear something heavy land right by my legs
>Frozen in fear I hear heavy footsteps come closer, hot breath against my skin, then sharp teeth grazing the back of my neck
>I close my eyes, waiting for a single lethal bite…
>”I gotch shu!” Says a muffled feminine voice from above
>I reach up and swat the muzzle away from my neck, turning myself over to view my assailant
>”Jesus Susan! You had me scared half to death!”
>”I know, sorry about that. I just couldn’t waste an opportunity to catch the most dangerous game. Not when I'm on a roll!”
>She leans down and licks my face as an apology
>I have to swat her muzzle away again to speak
>”Eww! You got hare breath! But it is good your instincts seem to be kicking in again.”
>”I know right? That chase was invigorating! I feel so alive!”
>”And all it took was giving me a heart attack and a sprained ankle.” I say with a laugh
>She recoils back in shock
>”You sprained your ankle?”
>“Ya, when I jumped I landed the wrong way. We aren’t getting any younger Susan.”
>”Does it hurt?”
>”I can deal with it for now. You wanna help me back to the lodge though?”
>She shifts her weight as she straddles my belly, a curious look in her eye
>”Not so fast my prey. You aren’t leaving this forest until I'm satisfied with you. You gave me a good chase but here I have you cornered and you aren’t even trying to fight back! You lack vigor.”
>”Lack vigor?! I’ll show you who lacks vigor!”
>I lean up and wrap my arms around her
>We roll around on the ground a few times but she ends up on top again, panting heavily and a wide smile on her face
>”Anon, all this running and jumping and hunting has got me fired up. All my primal instincts are running wild. All I can think about is hunt, eat, and…mate.”
>She licks her lips and I see the fire light up in her eyes
>”You are such a beast Susan. A wild animal catching, forest trampling, pack leading, pup making beast of a woman.” My hands shoot up to her cheeks and I stare her in the eyes. “And I love you for it.”
>Our lips touch and we enter a deep kiss
>It’s not long until our clothes are discarded and we’re making love by the stream
>She starts off on top and rides my cock like her life depended on it, her wild rhythm and occasional snarling driving me to my limits
>We then switched off into doggy style, stereotypical, I know
>I pounded her like a jackhammer and by the end of it she was well and truly exhausted
>The night devolved into soft kisses and we drifted off into pleasant slumber by the stream locked in each other’s embrace
>But just before I drift off my hands stealthily explore her breasts and body
>I come to the same conclusion I had before
>Oh yeah, all the right places
