Upon the Rooftop + Epilogue

Story by TikTikKobold on SoFurry

This is the ending of my "Estrasa's Tower" Story. Hopefully, you've enjoyed the ride, as this is the finale of my original Tik Tik series. Starting next month, I'll be posting brand new stories online done in a different style, so look forward to that. For now, this project is done, but I'm going to hopefully have a better collaborative project throughout the entirety of 2019. We'll have to see how that goes.

Tik Tik's eyes flutter open as she feels the warmth press up against her. She gasps when she sees the scarred face of her savior. “Tybalt?" She asks

The Paladin smiles down at Tik Tik, giving her a quick kiss on the forehead. “It's nice to see you again, Tik Tik. I'm certainly glad I left you at that inn all those months ago. If you hadn't been here, I probably wouldn't be alive right now."

“I… I was so scared, Tybalt…" Tik Tik says, shuddering as she holds onto him. “How many casualties?"

“Too many," he replies, “but, then again, even one is too many. Most are alright, and are free to love, now that the Dark Queen no longer controls the tower."

“I need to go thank them."

“And perhaps you should," he says, carrying her away. “But while we're heading down to them, tell me… what do you plan to do next?"

“I think," Tik Tik says, looking out towards the sunrise heralding in a new day, “I will see what is off in the horizon. With a new book, my own book. That spellbook caused too much trouble."

“Yes, yes, it certainly did," Tybalt says, chuckling as he takes Tik Tik down to meet the conquering heroes who helped her in the daring quest. And so closed Tik Tik's grandest adventure.

The old man sighed happily as he closed the book. “What an adventure it was, Tik Tik, what an adventure it was, and an excellent read, but not quite what my audience is looking for."

“What!?" I cried, standing on my stool with my palms slapped onto the table. “But Tik Tik worked really hard on it! Had a lot of friends add to it, too!" Well, 'hard' is definitely the word I would use for the various guardians we encountered, but difficult? Time consuming? Not so much.

“I can offer you this much now, but if you want to make the big pockets of gold, you really need to sell me on some of the more fantastical elements. I mean, really? Your grandmother was once a human bard? And you have the power to transform into a dragon?" He quirked his eyebrow at me, crossing his arms over his chest. “I'd love to see that."

“Eh, yeah, maybe Tik Tik embellish some things… but all good for story, right!?" I asked, clasping my hands together, wagging my tail and giving him the big baby blues.

Sighing, the old man reached into his pocket and produced a scroll. “Fine. This is what you wanted, right? The Demonologist lives in Anteronia. Though, a girl like you really shouldn't be messing around with a place like that. It's dangerous to go alone, you know."

“Oh, don't worry about Tik Tik!" I said, hopping off of the table and waving to the man. After all, I wasn't going to be alone to my trip to Anteronia, not as long as I had my little 'passenger' along for the ride.
