Three (Conviction)
Imported from SF2 with no description.
Blake huffed, a small cloud of smoke escaping his lips and into the chilly morning air. He leaned against the railing to his new apartment’s balcony and looked off into the distance. Since his wife’s death, he hasn’t really needed a house as big as the one he had if he was just going to be living alone. Not only that, but the memories that littered the place was unbearable; his wife cheating on him, her death, even the happy memories were too much.
A pair of white, fuzzy arms slid around the muscular black wolf’s abdomen. The thin, delicate arms rubbed up Blake’s chest, the fingers digging under the wolf’s fur and letting the claws lightly scratch his skin. A light humming illuminated from behind him, a melody he didn’t recognize, but it was beautiful and almost calming. Kit’s muzzle rested on the wolf’ shoulder as he continued to softly hum his song. His fingers wandered down Blake’s abdomen and under the waistband of his pajama pants. “What’re you thinking about?” Kit purred in Blake’s ear. There was a shiver up the wolf’s spine, but it wasn't a creeped out, or freaky kind of shiver, this one was nice, and settled somewhere in the pit of his stomach.
“Do you have to ask?” Blake mumbled, bringing the cigarette between his fingers back up to his lips.
Kit chuckled, standing up on the tips of his toes and kissed him on the cheek. “Oh please.” He, giggled, turning the wolf around and leaning on his chest. “Barging in someone else’s private thoughts is pretty rude… The thoughts on the top of your head though, those are free-bees.”
Blake rolled his eyes and sighed, letting a vapor of smoke curl around his nose and dissipate into the air. He instinctively wrapped an arm around the slim fox’s waist, letting the hand with the cigarette dangle at his side. When he turned around, he noticed that the fox was completely nude with something slightly hard poking at his leg. “You know, public indecency is illegal, right?”
Kit tilted his head, giving a sly grin. “Only if I get caught.” He chirped, sliding his hands down to cup the wolf’s butt under his pajamas. “Why? You gonna catch me? Punish me? Tie me dow-”
“Okay! Alright.” Blake said, pushing Kit off from him and leading him back into the apartment. A stirring had begun between his legs from the mental images Kit was giving him that he didn’t need to be sporting on the balcony. “You’ve made your point, now will you please put some cloths on?”
“Cloths?” Kit laughed, plopping down onto the couch on his back, holding his arms above his head and spreading his legs. “For what I was planning, we don’t need cloths.”
Blake’s sheath jumped at the sight of a cute boy lying on his couch, practically begging. He wanted so badly to crawl on top of the fox and ‘bury his bone,’ but every time he looked at the fox, all he could see was the age gap between them. It was like fucking a kid, and the thought that Kit had recently being born when he was just going into college was seriously messing with the wolf’s morals.
“Well?” Kit said, impatiently and teasingly as he swished his tail to the side so it’d dangle over the side of the couch. The look in the fox’s eyes told Blake that he already knew what he wolf was thinking and clearly didn’t want him to think too hard on it.
When the wolf didn’t move, Kit sat up onto his knees and looked up at the wolf. “Look, I know I’m young and I look like a kid to you, I also know you think you’re forcing yourself to do this, but listen, I wouldn’t be asking if I knew you didn’t want to. If you ask me, I think you’re holding yourself back than being forced into this.” The fox wrapped his arms around the wolf’s neck. “It’s just sex, Blake. I’m not asking you to be my boyfriend or any kind of commitment like that, so,” he started to lean in slowly. “If you want me to stop...” he leaned in closer, bringing his voice to a whisper as their noses nearly touched. “Just tell me...”
‘Stop’ was on the tip of Blake’s tongue. Several times he almost said it in the three seconds it took Kit to cover the distance between them. Those three seconds were the longest Blake had ever had. In all his years of being a detective, never had Blake felt so cornered and powerless. It was like the fox had taken away Blake’s ability to think straight, and though that seemed completely possible, something inside himself told him that it wasn’t Kit’s fault.
After almost an eternity, Kit’s lips finally touched the wolf’s, and he finally got a grip on himself. Blake roughly shoved the fox off from him, making him fall back onto the couch, gasping in surprise. He couldn’t do it. He couldn’t just kiss the fox. Kit scrambled a bit and gathered his wits about him just in time to watch as the large black wolf stripped his boxers and straddled himself on the fox’s chest.
Kit got a good view of the wolf’s package, his large, heavy furry balls rolling around on his chest as Blake adjusted himself to pin Kit’s arms down with his legs. Blake’s pink-ish red shaft began to emerge from the fuzz and flesh that was his sheath. It glistened slightly from the morning sun shining in through the window. The fox relaxed a bit, realizing that the shove was more playful than aggressive. A coy grin creeped across Kit’s muzzle as he leaned forward and gently kissed Blake’s tip.
The wolf grabbed the back of Kit’s head and pulled him to his crotch, grinding his growing member across Kit’s cheek. Blake wasn’t always a dominant partner. Carol had actually described his sexual acts as rather gentle and slow, but it was alright because the girth of his cock was too much to take in one go. Oral is a different story, besides, Kit seemed to enjoy the treatment, so he must have been doing something right.
He reached back and smoothed the fur down around the fox’s groin, giving sensational touches, but staying away from Kit’s actual package; he was still a little unused to feeling another man’s penis without feeling a ping of uncomfort. He still felt a little bad that he didn't offer the same attention Kit gave him, but as far as Blake could tell, Kit didn’t really care.
Blake’s sheath stretched around his red rocket as it stood at attention, warping around his knot before wrinkling up under it’s base. He moved to position himself in front of Kit’s muzzle, but stopped when the fox suddenly turned his nose away. “Hold on for a sec,” Blake’s ear flicked as he sat back, but keeping most of his weight on his own legs and not the fox’s chest. “Got off,” he said, wriggling around to try and free his arms.
Blake hesitantly lifted himself off from the fox, watching as he sat upright and started smoothing his fur down where Blake had been sitting on him. “I’ll suck you off if you want, or,” He turned around, getting on his knees and resting his upper half on the back of the couch. “We could try something different.” He presented his rear to the wolf, swing his tail from side to side temptingly.
Blake stepped up behind the fox, resting the palm of his hand on Kit’s right cheek and rubbing over the pucker with his thumb. “You sure? You know how big I am.” Blake would be lying if he said he hadn’t at least thought of boning the kid before, but he always got ‘cock-blocked’ by his own mind. At first, he made up the excuse that he might’ve been too big, but Carol seemed to take him just fine… then again, Carol seemed to take a lot just fine…
If that didn’t work, he’d bring up his morals, reminding himself how young Kit is and the age gap between them. It was like something in him was just throwing any excuse it could at him to keep him from totally claiming the fox. He had to admit, a lot was very offsetting about Kit, and the detective in his blood was just dying to know everything the fox wasn’t telling him, but at the same time, he didn’t really care. He just wanted to feel loved again, and while what he had with Kit was purely sex and just that, it was a stronger connection to the fox than it was to his deceased wife.
“Stop thinking, I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t want to do it too.” Kit said, whipping his tail in front of Blake’s nose, tickling it a little.
Blake thought about it a second longer before applying pressure to the fox’s hole and sinking his thumb it. He didn’t get very far due to lack of lube, but it was enough to make the fox moan slightly and push back a bit. Even though it was just his thumb, it still felt pretty good to the wolf. It got him a little more excited. Thoughts swam through his head of what he wanted to do to the fox; bend him over, wrap him around him, pin him down, but there was something else he wanted to do, something that he wanted to try with Carol, but never really got the chance to.
Blake leaned forward and licked up the fox’s taint, stopping right before he reached the pucker. Kit pushed back some more as he gripped a couch pillow, moaning into it. It didn’t really have a bad taste to it, but Blake really didn’t think as far ahead as to expecting a taste. The action came without much thought, because he knew if he thought about it, he probably would have talked himself out of it. He licked again, this time giving Kit’s hole a try. It still wasn’t bad, he couldn’t say that he really liked it, but it wasn’t appalling or disgusting in any way, he was just glad the fox was clean.
The wolf lapped around Kit’s pucker and taint a bit more, accustoming himself to the taste and thought of this. The moan’s and cute yips that Kit was making made it sound like the fox was in heaven, which make Blake feel a little more confident and a bit happy to be pleasing the fox. The way Blake thought of it, Kit had already sucked him off to the point of orgasm, and Blake was pretty sure that the fox himself hadn’t came, so he wanted to make it up to him.
He stood upright, tugging upward on Kit’s tail to move it out of the way as he hot dogged and ground his penis between the fox’s cheeks. “Makes me wonder if this really is your first rodeo with another guy...” Kit moaned through his teeth, pushing his rear back a bit into the wolf’s hips.
Blake ignored the fox’s comment as he leaned on Kit’s back and lined himself up. He was already dripping pre quite a bit, so lube wasn’t really necessary, plus, the rimjob should help a little too, He pushed in, slowly, getting his head in and humping shallowly to give Kit a chance to adjust to his size. The fox practically purred in pleasure, arching his back under the wolf’s weight and curling his tail around Blake’s waist.
Kit pushed back some more letting a few more inches sink into him and moaning happily. Blake was a bit surprised the fox was doing so well, especially considering how small and thin Kit was, so he decided to take it up a notch. Drawing his hips back almost to the point of coming completely out, Blake took the fox by his sides and forced his cock all the way inside of him, bouncing his balls from against Kit’s legs. The fox jumped, gasping in slight pain and pleasure.
Blake felt Kit clenched around him, sending a wonderful wave of pleasure up his rod and through the rest of his body. It’s been too long since last he’s had any sort of sxual attention. There was the blowjob Kit gave him when they first came in contact, but that was just a dream, even if the fox did create it, it still wasn’t real.
The wolf leaned in, sinking his member into the fox completely and pushing Kit into the back of the couch, sandwiching him between Blake’s chest and the cushions. He felt the fox arch his back under the wolf’s weight, the fox’s rear bumping into his pelvis with every thrust. He curled his bushy tail around the wolf’s waist, moaning his name and getting Blake more excited. The wolf didn’t know how much longer he could last, but he wanted to make Kit cum first.
Despite the gesture being a tad foreign to him, Blake slid his hand around the fox’s slender form and gripped the pole that dangled between his legs. He gently trace a finger over the fox’s smaller, fuzzy sac before he began pumping along his length in tempo with his own thrusts. Kit bit his lip, grinning in pleasure and draping himself over the back of the couch.
It was just then when Blake noticed how quiet the fox was. Aside from the occasional yip, moan and squeak, Kit barely made a noise. Blake was normally pretty quiet when having sex, he was always like that, but it was a little offsetting having someone else that was as quiet while fucking. Carol was never like that, she was always vocal. Not necessarily loud, just vocal. With Kit being as low key as he is, and male, Blake was taken even more out of his comfort zone.
Blake nearly lost control and came from lack of focus, causing him to tense up and slow down a tad to regain his composure. He rested his chin on Kit’s shoulder, huffing a bit as humped the smaller male. Kit gasped as his body tensed and clenched around Blake’s shaft. His body trembled under the wolf as he came onto the sofa, pushing Blake over the edge as well.
~*~
“Kit...” Blake said, as he held his phone in front of his face, unable to look away from the screen as he couldn’t believe what he saw. He was lying on the couch with Kit ontop of him.
The fox was humming the same song he was this morning on the balcony. He was lying stomach down on the wolf’s abdomen, tracing Blake’s muscles and fur with a finger in unison with his melody. “Yes, dear?” He replied sweetly, crawling a little closer and nuzzling the wolf’s neck.
“Could you tell me why the hell a burner account just transferred $10,000 into my bank account?” Blake asked, reading over the five digit number over and over to make sure he was reading the number right.
The fox giggled sitting up so he could look the wolf in the eyes. “It’s for the jobs I’ve been asking you to do for me. The first five-thousand was just a down payment for accepting the task of finding Boe, the other five-thousand was for the job I had you look ino up at the cabin.” He touched the wolf’s nose with his own and smiled. “What, you think I don’t pay my ‘lackies’?” He joked. “Besides, ten-thousand really isn’t that much, I almost feel like I’m ripping you off...”
Blake shook his head, turning his phone off and setting it on the coffee table parallel to the couch. He sighed as he looked back to Kit, wondering what he should do. The fox had randomly showed up in his bed sometime last night without warning and hasn’t really given Blake any hint as to why he was really hear. He doubted the fox was here just to have sex, the kid was too sneaky to do something so trivial as that. Not only that, but there was something completely different about the fox then the other times they’ve encountered; he was clearer in a way, and there wasn’t a ‘creepy’ aura about him anymore.
“So, you’re really here this time, huh?” Blake asked blankly. “You’re not just a projection?”
Kit stared at him for a moment, his smile disappearing before a different, more coy smile replaced it. “Wow, I’m a little surprised you figured it out. I guess they really don’t make just anyone a detective nowadays.” He chuckled. “Yes, I’m the real one. I just can’t believe you figured out my astral projection in such a short amount of time.”
“So, you can read minds, control them, and make people see what you want them to. Anything else you can do?” Blake asked.
Kit smirked. “This,” he cooed, and Blake jumped when he felt delicate digits wrap around his sac. “And a few other things.” He shrugged.
The fox grinned and looked into the wolf’s eyes for a moment, tail swishing happily behind him before he heaved himself off from Blake and stood on his feet. “C’mon, we’re going out.” Kit said, collecting his cloths from the arm of the couch.
Blake watched with attentive eyes, taking in the fox’s curves and fur as he lit himself another cigarette. “Out?” he repeated.
It took Blake about a half an hour to get ready to leave. Because of their morning of intimacy, Blake didn’t want to leave the house with the uncomfortable stickiness crusting his fur around his groin and legs. He had asked if Kit wanted to wash down as well, but the fox said that it would just wash away the glow and ruin his mood, and he didn’t mind smelling like the wolf. Blake found that a little odd, but if the fox could mess with people’s brain’s to show them what he want’s them to see, maybe he could make up or even take away smells and other senses.
The more he thought of the possibilities the young fox possessed, the more he realized the immense gap of power they both possessed. Kit was on a god-like pedestal compared to the wolf, and he wasn’t even sure the fox had revealed all of his abilities. Blake would be happy that the fox was on his side, but the lack of information that Kit seemed to provide was more than discomforting.
Not only that, but he believed, no, knew, that the fox was here for more than just pleasure. Kit was smart, playing his moves with intentions of the future. There was no way that Kit would come to the wolf’s place, much less in person, without some kind of ulterior motive. The detective in Blake was practically clawing at him to try and solve the mystery that was the fox, but doing so would prove to be more than challenging when he very person you’re trying to investigate can read your mind.
“There’s someone I want you to meet someone.” Kit said, walking next Blake as they strode down the sidewalk. It was mid-day, warm and fair weathered, perfect day for walking, but there was something off, almost wrong, but where was it coming from?
“Meet someone? Who?”
Kit smiled but didn’t answer. Instead, he turned in front of the wolf and walked through the doors of an apartment building. Blake followed closely behind keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary. The building itself looked pretty new, but the sentimental memories that clung to this place was practically airborne, suggesting that this place was older than it appeared. Blake pulled on his gloves; the last thing he needed was to get sucked into a memory without his intention.
The fox lead Blake into an elevator and up onto the fourth floor. They walked down a few halls before stopping at a door on the right. Without even knocking Kit opened the door and walked right into the apartment. “Jessiiiiiiiiiii!!” That fox sang, calling out in the empty apartment. A small, light grey chiapom dog peeked it’s head to gaze at the visitors from behind a slightly ajar door. The dog growled slightly when it saw the wolf and fox, but didn’t bark.
“Hey Tyy,” Kit said nicely to the little animal, but the dog just growled again and backed into the room, out of sight.
A faint, almost inaudible groan resonated from the room. “This better be fuckin’ good...” a tired, half asleep voice said as the door opened. A very thin, toplss human boy emerged from the room. His hair was long, for being male; shoulder length, and such a dark brown it was almost black, same as his eyes. He was only five foot-eight inches tall, a bit shorter than Kit and definitely shorter than the wolf.
When the human rubbed enough of the sleep from his eyes that he could register what he was seeing, he backed up a bit and looked to be readying himself. “Who are you?” he asked worriedly, his eyes locked on Blake’s.
Blake looked toward where Kit standing, hoping that he could give the human an explanation, but when he looked, the fox wasn't there. He looked around the rest of the apartment, but the fox was nowhere to be found. “Kit, where’d you go?” Blake asked, mostly to himself.
The human seemed to perk a bit when he heard the name ‘Kit.’ “Wait, Kit? As in, thin, flirty, kind of annoying white fox that looks like he know’s all your secrets?”
“Yeah, that’s him.”
The boy seemed to calm down a little. He pulled a shirt from somewhere behind the door and pulled it on before coming out of the room, his small dog following closely behind. He passed through the living room and walked into the kitchen. “Coffee?” He asked, pulling down a coffee mug and held it in the air. Blake shook his head and the human shrugged. “So, you still call him Kit?”
Blake stuffed his hands in his pockets, trying not to think about the awkwardness of this situation. “Well, yeah… What else am I supposed to call him?”
“Uh, by his real name?” Jessi replied, almost rudely. He shook his head, trying to wake himself up a bit. “Sorry, I’m usually more mannered than this. I’m just not a morning person.”
“It’s past noon,” the wolf reminded.
“Too early for me. I like to sleep.” He tilted his head to one shoulder and Blake heard several loud, uncomfortable sounding pops and cracks, and more when he tilted his head to the other shoulder. The sound was gross, sounding as if someone was snapping necks or crunching on bones, making the wolf’s fur prickle a little. “Alistair is his real name. Kit’s just his tag name.” Jessi explained as he made himself a cup of instant coffee..
“Tag name?”
The human turned to look at him with a puzzled look. “He hasn’t told you very much has, he?”
Blake scoffed and rolled his eyes. “Next to nothing is more accurate,”
Jessi sighed. “Have a seat, I think I know why he sent you here.” Blake sat down on the only couch in the small apartment and watched as the human strode over and sat in the recliner that stood adjacent to the loveseat. “Have you ever heard of the Kami Kiras?” The wolf shook his head. “Okay, well, back in ancient times, there was a tribe of people that were known for their great dedication to serving gods and basically living for them. They were so dedicated, that if they believed they heard their god tell them to kill their own child, they’d happily do so.
“Well, one day there was a terrible storm, and the tribe believed that it was due to a disturbance with their gods, and asked to send them a messenger to tell them what they could do to please their gods. Sure enough, the next day, the Storm had calmed, but a man wearing all white had fallen from the sky, telling them that he brought news from their gods, saying that there was no way to please them, and that very soon, the gods would wipe out the entire earth. Fearing for their lives and pleading the messenger to help them, the messenger took pity on them and bestowed upon them ‘gifts’ in which the tribe could use to combat the gods.
“The messenger had giving the entire tribe supernatural abilities, some the ability of flight, speed, strength, fortune telling and so on. But he gave ten of the tribe's strongest warriors more than just a single ability, but rather a collection of powers that made each one virtually invincible. They called themselves Kami Kira, which means Killers of Gods, or God Killers.
“Their power was so great, that they could level mountains and dent oceans with just a flick of their wrists. They awaited the alleged battle between themselves and the gods, but the gods never came. After a while, they believed that they were so powerful that even the gods feared them, and that was why the gods never showed up to do battle with them. One of the ten Kami Kiras was considered the most powerful of the ten, and when the battle didn’t happen, he began to grow bored and disappointed that he had nothing but the mountains and seas to use his newfound abilities.
“Well, one day, he was out in the forest when he was attacked by a large bear. Of course, it wasn’t hard to deal with, a few good punches and the animal was dead, but the man realized when he killed the beast, was that he enjoyed killing. So, using his abilities, he single handedly wiped out every single tribe in the area, friend or foe.
“Realizing what was going on, the other nine Kami Kiras attempted to stop the one man, but his power was so great that the nine others couldn’t even stop him, so they decided to use their abilities to seal him for good, thus, killing them all in the process. This tribe was believed to be the first people with abilities, of course, the accuracy of this story is a tad sketchy, but I have no reason not to believe it.” Jessi said, taking a sip of his coffee.
“What does that have to do with Kit’s real name?” Blake asked, sitting back in the loveseat and crossing his legs.
“Well, when the government discovered that people had special abilities, their first thought was to hunt them all down and kill them, but when they heard this story, that got the thinking ‘what if we could create our own Kami Kira and use it as a weapon’, surprise, right?” The human said sarcastically. “Well, they failed. They got close, but every time they tried to either enhance or add abilities to one person, that person would die or go insane, then die. It wasn’t until recently that they found a few naturally born Kami Kiras living among them. Because of the way the stories go, they never considered that the original Kami Kiras could have had children that carried their abilities down for generations.
“Alistair is a Kami Kira, in case you haven't noticed yet, but he’s not a naturally born one. He’s one of those ‘close-but-not-quite’ cases I mentioned. As far as physically and mentally, Alistair seems pretty healthy, right? Well, truth is, he’s dying. He only had until age twenty-five before he dies from organ malfunction. Or at least, that’s how it was supposed to be until the incident five years ago.”
Blake tilted his head. “Incident?”
Jessi looked away for a moment and Blake felt something shift in the air as something in the human’s memory pulsed. “Five years ago, Alistair, Boe and I had an encounter with one of the Kami Kiras, up close and personal. at first it was fine. His name was Alex Crow, a part wolf, part crow guy that turned out to be cousin’s with Alistair and Boe. We all got along, everything was cool, but then, Alistair’s, Boe’s and Alex’s Bloom kicked in. and before you ask, a Blood is what happens when your abilities get a sudden spike in power and efficiency. It’s like puberty for your abilities. But the problem with that is that when a BLoom happens, a TON of chemicals in your body start to go places and do things that they shouldn in your body that can really fuck up your brain and way of thinking for a period of time. Alex was a prime example.
“When he hit his Bloom, he believed that people without abilities shouldn’t exist, and tried to kill me.” He stopped for a moment. “Do you know how scary and heartbreaking it is when a friend, someone you trust, just turns around and tries to kill you?” He shook his head. “Anyways, Alex was so powerful, that it took half an army and Alistar and Boe both just to suppress him until his Bloom passed, but at the cost of Boe’s life.”
Blake sat up a bit. “Wait, Boe’s dead?” he asked. That didn’t make sense, why would Kit have him looking for someone that’s already dead.
“Not dead, but he might as well be. I know I said Alex was a Kami Kira, but that’s not entirely true; he only has one ability, the ability to control, channel and generate lightning, but he has such control and mastery over it that he’s considered one of the most dangerous out there. And during the fight between Alistair, Alex and Boe, Boe got shot through the heart with a lightning bolt. It didn’t take his life, but it shortened it and causes him constant pain. He can't even use his ability without feeling like he’s having a heart attack.” He shook his head again. “I’m getting side tracked. Anyways, the reason Alistair was called Kit, is because back in the lab, when he was being giving his abilities, they chose to give him the abilities that closely represented a Kitsune. A Kitsune is what’s known as a nine-tailed-fox-spirit, capable of shapeshifting, summon fire or lightning, even bend space and time to his will. Alistair can do a bit of those things; he’s able to read minds, use astral projection, predict the future, and cause the very air to combust in a ball of fire.
“I also mentioned that he was dying, but that’s not the case anymore. When he was in battle with Alex, he also got struck by lightning, but not through the heart like Boe, and the electrical charge and heat that passed through him managed to counterbalance the unnatural chemicals in his body from the lab, thus curing him of his doomed fate. Since then he’s been looking for a why to safe Boe now that there was hope, but after a few years, Boe got so tired of it, that he went into hiding, saying that he just wanted to live out the rest of his days in peace.” Jessi’s eyes started to glisten a bit. It was obvious that he blamed himself for Boe’s fate, even though it was really this Alex’s fault.
“What happened to that Alex guy?” BLake asked, trying to steer the conversation away from Boe, even though more information on him would be wonderful.
Jessi shrugged. “No one really knows. He started doing assassinations for money, but as for where is unknown. Not that I have a problem with that; the further away he is, the better.”
“What’s Boe’s relations with Kit?” Blake asked.
“They’re twins. except, since the lab, Boe’s gained black markings around his eyes, cheeks, ears, muzzle, hips, hands, feet back and tail. Other than the marks, the two are almost completely identical, only Alistair has red eyes, whereas Boe had green.” He took another sip. “What’s your business with Alistair?”
“He asked me to find Boe for him.”
Jessi chuckled and shook his head. “No offence, but what makes you so special that he’d ask for your help?”
Blake shrugged. “Maybe my ability; I’m able to look into the memory of anything I touch.”
The human nodded. “Well, good luck with that.” He said as he stood up and walked to the sink, where he set his empty cup in and leaned on the counter to look at the wolf. “There’s another reason why he sent you here… You’re afraid you didn’t love her?”
Blake looked at the human. “How did you-”
“No, he didn’t tell me, and no, I don’t have any super natural ability, I can just tell.” He smiled. “Ali must care about you if he;s sending you my way for help.” He chuckled to himself. “Who was it? Family member? Girlfriend?”
“Wife.”
“Ah… and there was something going on between you two before her death?”
“She was cheating...”
Jessi nodded. seriously, how did this kid know? “And you’re upset because you’re not upset about her death.” He laughed again, a bit smugly. “Sounds to me like you didn’t really love her.”
Blake glared at the human. “Ofcourse I loved her.”
“You sure?” He smiled. “I mean, she was cheating on you with someone else, which means that she obviously didn’t love you back. Maybe you’re secretly happy she’s gone?”
“I am not!” Blake snapped. How dare this kid make such harsh assumptions of things he had no buisiness knowing about.
“Then what is it you miss?”
“Her eyes, the smell of her hair, the way she laughed when I put my shirt on in-side-out, the christmases we had, just he two of us...” something pinged in his heart, a sadness starting to seep through. “The way she used to tell me good morning...” he got quieter as realization started to sink in.
“And you’re never going to get to see that ever again.” Jessi said. He wasn’t smug anymore, instead, he had a completely serious expression on his face.
Tears started to roll from the wolf’s eyes on their own accord.”Why…?” He asked, helplessly, cursing himself for his weaknesses.
Jessi walked over from where he stood and kneeled in front of the wolf, placing a dainty hand on his knee in comfort. “Because if you kept it in, you’d only keep chewing yourself out. It’s not your fault, and no one blames you for being hard hearted to the situation. It hurts, I know, and it will continue to hurt, but i promise it will get better, and you’ll be able to move one and be free once again. That doesn’t mean that you love any less, it means that you love her enough to let her go.”
Blake understood now, why Kit sent him here, and that Jessi wasn’t trying to piss him off, he was trying to help him break down his own walls and see the truth. Damn, this kid was good.
