Monster Valley: The Dragon's Awakening
There is something that I like, about really cute partners in bed that can't perform well. The other part of that isn't shown here, but I really like seeing cute partners that can't perform well getting hecked up in bed real hard.
A silver scaled dragoness slept among a bed of moss curled in a ball with gems set around her. Sunlight spilled through the top of the grotto and shimmered against the dragon’s silver scales. Reta dreamed of the bright sun-filled waking world with the warmth of the sun shimmering against her scales as she soared through the skies. There in her dreams below her were the various monsters of the wilderness who worshipped dragons as powerful creatures of magic. It was a dream that always touched her when she was near waking.
Dragons were creatures that commanded vast amounts of magic. They would rule every other monster if it weren’t for the fact that they spent far too much time exploring dreams and other things that none were too sure of. There were some lofty ideas about what dragons did while they slumbered, but for the most part, this dragoness simply enjoyed her rest. Hunger and lust were the two things that were sure-fired ways to see this dragoness awaken, but neither had called her this day, for now.
Reta returned to the waking world. Her dreams were a far gone memory now, but still, she laid curled in a silver ball near her treasure. Last time she had awoken, it had been to take the gift of a group of kobolds who wished for her favor and in response, she had given one of their kind the gift of powerful magic. She wondered if that would end up being a bad thing in the long run? Oh well, no sense in thinking about it now, though, she wondered why she was waking? Her dreams had given her the sign that it was time to wake, but she certainly felt like she could slumber for a few more months if given the opportunity. She could never understand why some of her kin enjoyed the waking world and did so with their strange hobbies, but those were thoughts for another time.
When her eyes were about to crack open, she heard the sound of footsteps on moss. They were soft steps and careful steps, the steps of an intruder trying not to wake her. Perhaps some other creature would be offended, frightened, or even angered at such a thing. Reta, however, could only feel a mild amusement tickling the back of her mind as she wondered if the intruder really thought that they would get away with whatever they were doing. She could hear them nearby as well. Reta could always simply get up to greet them and send them on their way, but why not wait until just the right moment? Oh, she was going to have fun with this!
Reta waited and waited. She heard the human fiddle around here and there with her gems and coins. It seemed whoever was intruding on her home, was nothing more than a common thief. Thieves didn’t bother her so much as lofty worshippers seeking her favor. You see, thieves would simply leave after taking what they wanted, but those who gave her worship were more likely to drone on and on about her greatness. It wasn’t that she hated the compliments, only, she’d much rather be sleeping.
Though the dragoness felt inclined to let the thief be, she began to wonder. The thief was trying their best to be quiet, but they were louder than any sneaky kobold or gnoll, and they certainly weren’t a fae or else they wouldn’t be stepping on her moss at all. Noisier than a gnoll, but smaller than a gnoll, what could it be? If there was anything besides food and mating that roused a dragon, it was curiosity.
Reta allowed one of her eyes to slowly crack open to see a human of all things fishing through her treasure. With his back turned to her, she could see that he was wearing a rough-spun cloak of brown and green with the hood drawn up over his head so she couldn’t see his hair. He was taller than a kobold indeed and smaller than a gnoll that was true too. He seemed lanky and the cloak was far too big for him, so perhaps he was a common thief after all. When he turned his head back toward her, her eye was already closed again. How exciting! She had never had a human visitor before, nor had she ever heard of humans visiting so deep in the wilderness. Perhaps she should tell some of the monsters around her area to get a bit smarter about their defenses, but they already knew that. It only meant that this human was particularly clever, or perhaps he had indeed found a secret way through the wilderness, regardless, it was almost time to spring her trap.
The thief continued to pad around her home with careful little steps. He moved some things around, but she couldn’t hear him pocket anything. Everything he picked up he seemed to set back down or hold for a moment before doing just the same. It was almost, boring, but curious. Why would a human thief brave a dragon’s den? When she could hear his steps nearing her tail, she lashed her tail out and curled it around his ankle to yank him onto his rear. Reta had to snicker as she heard the thief yelp along with the soft thump of his rear hitting the mossy floor.
A quiet curse sounded off from the human’s mouth, but then silence touched her home as she began to rise from where she had been curled. She uncurled and rose and stretched with her claws digging into the ground before she let out a fat yawn and stood up fully. Reta turned her head to the side where the human was sitting there stunned with his hood drawn back. He was a freckled fellow with a scar across one of his cheeks and big brown eyes and auburn hair that reminded her of autumn leaves. When their gazes locked he wheezed out the word, “Mercy.”
Whether it was a request or a way for him to express surprise and awe, she wasn’t sure, but she was certain of the fear in his trembling eyes and the fact that his hands were rattling as if he had the shivers. With a small smile, Reta addressed her nervous guest, “Mercy? Certainly. If you answer my questions. I’m curious and well, I was having a nice sleep until you came along, so do be kind and have a bit of a chat with me.”
Now that she had displayed that she wasn’t out to maim the poor human, he seemed to relax, “I...I suppose I can sit around and talk. It’s the least I can do to for disturbing your peace, uh, ma’am.”
Surprisingly polite for a burglar, and well-spoken as well. With the human sitting there, Reta could get a closer look at her friend. She noticed, on second glance, that he had a sword at his hip. A bit of steel for protection, or was he possibly sent for her life? Either way she curious to know.
“So tell me, human friend. Why are you so far away from your home and so deep in a territory that views you with such suspicion and ire?”
The human scratched at the back of his head and his eyes rolled a bit, “Wellll, if I tell you, you’d think I was stupid, and if I didn’t tell you, you might think I’m dumb anyway and do something like eat me. Do dragons eat humans by the way?”
She scoffed, “Perish the thought! An acquaintance bit a human once out of self-defense. Tore a chunk out of his thigh. Said it tasted too fatty and the actual meat of the stuff wasn’t anything to turn to feasting on humans for. Now, a lamb is good meat.”
Reta had to smile once she saw the reaction from the human. Beads of sweat started to dot his cheeks and his eyes looked like those of a cornered prey animal. To soothe her poor guest she again affirmed, “Human isn’t being served, trust me, so again I’ll ask you to move this conversation along, why are you here?”
The human sighed and brought one leg up to rest his chin upon knee as he spoke in a mumble, “I’m a squire ma’am. Training to be a scout. The other squires caught hold of this information from our superiors that said there was a dragon’s den around the mountain. Even had a route trailed to this very place right here. We don’t know much about dragons and the route as more of a warning than anything else, but I was dared to go get a prize from a dragon’s den and well, here I am.”
“Hah! A prize from my den? So you are a little thief as I thought...My slumber is lighter than some think. Not like one of my kin who slept the night away while a drunk gnoll had his way with her. Tell me, was that the type of prize you were looking for? You seemed to be taking a long time searching.”
His peach colored cheeks turned a shade of red that had her giggling as if she were a hatchling again and he coughed, “What? No! I just...I just meant to see if I could find a fallen scale.”
Reta’s eyes glimmered at that one, “Oh? A scale? Well, if you’re a good boy then I’ll think about giving you a scale.”
“Really?”
“Yes! But only if you answer my questions and entertain me. It has been so long since I’ve had a guest.”
Her darling human guest remained quiet at that one, the shade of pink fading from his cheeks now that Reta had ceased her tease and had offered something special. When another question reached her mind, Reta raised a claw to tap at her chin before she noted, “Despite the way you looked when I told you of a friend chewing on one of your kind’s legs, you don’t seem to be too perturbed. Why is that? Am I not the beast that you fear so much?”
The human shook his head, “Well...You are kind of scary, but not as big as I was thinking. I’d thought you would have taken at least half this room in size, but here you are and I could probably face you nose to nose by tiptoeing. I’m a tall sort though, a beanpole they call me.”
“Ah, I see. So should I transform into something more imposing?”
Her human interloper seemed to take some interest in that. His head was brought up to look at her with big eyes as he asked in a hushed tone, “Can you do that?”
“Yes! It is a simple matter of magic and I and other dragons are nothing but the stuff. We are more malleable than people give us credit for. Softer too.”
The human leaned forward, “I’d love to hear more about dragons.”
Reta laughed, “It has been so long since someone has taken some genuine interest in me. Normally, folk who visit are more likely to kiss the floor when they see me make any motion they might perceive as anger, and shower me with praise with or without the perceived anger.”
The human seemed thoughtful for a moment, his eyes scanning the air above her, “Huh...Sounds awful. I wouldn’t want the responsibility. I just kind of want to live my life.”
“Exactly dear. For me, my life is slumber.”
Now that caught a tilt of his head, “Slumber?”
“Yes. Many and most dragons like myself enjoy sleeping and dreaming. Curiosities and fixations can take us at times, but we are likely to be found resting our eyes for long periods of time. There are dragons that do other things, but I certainly can’t fathom their purpose.”
Again that thoughtful stare crossed the air above her. It looked almost like he was dreaming but in a waking sense. Were all humans so curious?
With a sudden chirp, the human asked a surprising question, “Could you show me some magic? Like, you changing shape?”
Reta thought for a moment and figured, why not? With a small smile, she said, “Certainly, if only you’ll give me your name first.
“Egan.”
Reta smiled, “Well, Egan. My name is Reta and I’ll be treating you to some entertainment since you’ve entertained me with your answers.”
Egan looked bewildered and curious all at once. His curiosity faded to tension as a light mist began to cover the dragoness and she began to fade right before his eyes. Soon, her body had become a swirling mass of smoke and fog. The mist trailed around his body and he heard whispers on the wind, “So, you see. Size is not a factor for dragons. We are creatures born of magic, so why would I bother being the size of a mountain when my home is a mountain?”
Reta followed the human’s eyes as a cloud of mist until she settled on his shoulder. Her form twisted and changed until she returned to her normal dragon self, except, she was small enough to hang off of his shoulder with her tail curled around his neck. Egan raised a hand as he turned his head to look at the sudden weight on his shoulders. The dragoness could only smile and chuckle as he gasped at the sudden sight of her tiny form. She gave his cheek a gentle nudge of her snout and purred, “See? A dragon can be as tiny as a bird, or, a dragon could be a bird.”
“Wait? Really?”
Reta opened her wings and leaped off of his shoulder, her body growing back to her standard height before she turned to face him while giving his nose a gentle flick of her tail, “Perhaps and perhaps there are dragons among your own Kings and Queens.”
The thought seemed to stun the young human into silence. From where he was sitting, he simply gawked at her with those big curious eyes. The simple fact was, some dragons enjoyed sleep, and others enjoyed walking among other species as things other than dragons. It wasn’t that uncommon of an occurrence. Reta personally had never understood the fascination with being another species, with living amongst them as something other than a dragon, but after seeing her little friend here, maybe she was beginning to understand.
When she wouldn’t say another word, Egan got up to say, “You can’t just leave me with that! If...If dragons were among the human royalty then that would mean that humans are part dragon are they not?”
Reta laughed, “Heavens no. That isn’t how that works. A dragon can produce any offspring they desire.”
That only served to further fluster the human as if his world were somehow turned on its head, “But...But you think someone would be able to tell? A mage? A man of medicine?”
“There are no differences, none that I know of. The transformation is flawless, so, for all you know your first kiss was with a dragon, and perhaps even your first time naked in bed nestled against another body was actually with a dragon.”
Again that shade of red that had her giggling colored his cheeks as he choked on the words, “I’ve never had either of those things! But...I mean, if those dragons mean no harm then I guess I don’t see why it is a bad thing.”
“Oh yes, a dragon wife or husband would be able to fit any sexual needs you had.”
The red of his cheeks burned another deeper shade of red as she began to circle him with her tail flicking against his leg gently while she continued on teasing, “A dragon could provide whatever pleasures you desired. A mind is easy to read, a heart is easy to know when you are made of magic. I could overstep boundaries right now and see into your desires, what you need in a carnal sense rather than anything else.”
“What are you--?”
Reta chuckled and her tail passed against his lips to keep him quiet, “You came here for a scale right? Some sort of prize you could show your friends? Well, a scale is a very precious thing and I should like to trade for it. Perhaps you’ll see fit to hear my request?”
Egan answered sheepishly, “I guess it is the least I can do…”
Reta stopped in front of him with her tail curled around so the tip was touching and raising his chin with their gazes locked as she whispered, “Give me your first and I would gladly give you a single scale.”
The squire’s cheeks burned with color almost bordering on beet reddish-purple. She thought of laughing again, but instead settled for leaning in to nudge his cheek and give it a gentle lick while purring, “What do you say? I promise I’m warm on the inside. I could even change my size so you could be the one in charge if that is how you like it?”
“I--What? In charge?”
Reta couldn’t help but laugh as she nuzzled the poor human’s cheek, “Yes or no dear.”
Quietly, almost like a mouse, the human gave his answer, “Yes.”
With a flick of her tongue, she stepped away from him. The dragoness laid on her back so her hind legs were spread revealing her slit. It had been so long since she had found herself a mate that her outer folds were already glistening with desire. While she was on her back, she could look at the human who seemed so nervous, who seemed so unsure, but regardless, he began to strip. His form beneath the clothing was a bit different than what she had been expecting. His face was full soft lines and features in spite of the scar on one of his cheeks and his clothes were far too big for him, but beneath his clothes, his body was a mesh of tightly wound muscle that showed he worked hard at being a squire. His cock was already erect and showing that his answer had been in earnest rather than something made in a rush. Still, the human came forward nervously, his eyes reflecting that uncertainty and inexperience she had expected. This boy was lovely.
With the most care he could seem to muster, he moved to sit on her tail and edge his cock along her underside until it reached her slit. Gingerly, he moved to press two fingers to her cunt, pressing them inside to stretch her. She cooed as she felt her warm insides grip around his curious fingers, her tail swiveling from side to side as she let him explore. It wasn’t long before his own trembling desire took over and he pulled his fingers out of her to replace them with the tip of his cock. Eagerly but slowly, he pressed the tip inside of her wet hole and began to edge himself inside. He let out a gasp as the head of his cock entered her fully. His hips began to work immediately after the tip was fully in. Reta watched with loving blue eyes as he started to thrust his cock deep inside of her while hugging onto her body for dear life. She cooed and moaned as she watched him work so desperately to get himself off. It had been so long since she had felt the touch of a mate that her insides seemed to grip tightly onto his cock and pull him in deeper.
A heat began to blossom in her body as she watched the human pump his cock inside of her vigorously. He was panting and moaning like mad while his body trembled. His digits dug against the soft scales on the underside of her body as he hugged tighter and tighter the deeper he want until his balls were kissing her tail and his face was buried against her stomach.
Egan gasped out, “I...I don’t think I can hold back. I’m so sorry.”
She purred and brought her tail up to push on his back lovingly to encourage him to continue on, “Let it all out...Impregnate me pretty human and enjoy your first.”
He squeezed onto her body as tightly as he could manage and thrust one last time, hot cum pouring out against her insides in a surprising amount. Reta cooed and purred as she felt his seed trail against her inner walls and push deeper and deeper into her. She smiled as the human panted with his cheek against her body and his fingers flexing against her hide. He hadn’t lasted long at all, but it was to be expected since he was so inexperienced. She hadn’t had her fill, but she didn’t want to break the poor thing just yet, but more importantly, there was something happening within her. She looked down at the human and didn’t see some little piece of entertainment to use and rule over, no, she saw something, someone to love. Her heart fluttered and her eyes fixated on the human hugging on her body and it was at that point that she understood her kin who chose to live among humans and species other than dragons. Reta wasn’t sure she could return to slumbering after this.
Egan had his eyes closed when he next spoke, “I’m sorry I couldn’t last longer...It just felt too good.”
Reta chuckled, “We can work on that dear. Just relax.”
“Work on that? I thought this would be our only time together?”
The dragoness giggled and stroked the human’s back with her tail gingerly while she looked down at him, “I suppose it is if you want it to...But I plan on leaving this cave of mine for a different sort of lifestyle. I hope you don’t mind if I tag along.”
Egan blurted, “What?! A dragon among humans would be--”
“Entirely possible and easy to do. I don’t necessarily want to be a human, so I think instead I’ll change to something a bit inanimate that can help you, or a cat.”
Egan stuttered, “B-but how would we even do anything at all! Home is crawling with humans and even like this you couldn’t fit in my quarters.”
“Yes, but I can be any size I want. Even such a size that you could use me with one hand should you please.”
Egan’s cheeks burned red which only served to tickle the dragoness as she heard him mumble, “That sounds oddly nice...I guess it would be nice to have you around.”
Reta purred, “Good! Then it is settled...Now hop off dear.”
Egan obeyed. He pulled out of her slowly and slid off of her body before gasping. Before the human’s eyes, she shifted shape until she turned into a small round blue gem. When he picked it up he heard her voice in his mind, “Pocket me anywhere you desire dear and I shall be able to come with you where you go. Once we are at your home, I think I’ll assume a more fleshy form, a cat should do just fine, oh, and pick up your prize.”
Egan blinked and knelt down to pick up the gem. Next to the gem, was a silver scale glittering in the sunlight pouring from the top of the grotto. In one hand he held the gem, and in the other, he held the scale, “I guess this is fine...But wouldn’t you rather be sleeping, Reta?”
“I suppose I would, but I think I’ve found something more interesting than dreams. You darling.”
Egan’s cheeks turned a shade of red and he looked to the gem thoughtfully before planting a soft kiss on it, “I hope not to disappoint you Reta. If this is what you really want then I’ll bring you along”
Reta sighed happily, “Yes, I think this will do just fine. Plus, it’ll be an opportunity for me to meet others of my kind hiding among your people.”
With plans made, the human clothed himself and left the grotto with dragon’s gem and scale in a pouch on his belt. Reta was only happy to see her cave go, if only because she had found herself a new home.
