Unlustful Luck
Here's the next chapter of the series. Enjoy!
Until a strange noise slowly roused me out of my rather peaceful slumber. My opened slowly and while they adjusted to the amount of light that's present. As I looked around the tent as the sound got louder and I felt good strange yet, good. "Mmm, salty and so big Orion your wives don't know just how luckily they are." She murred. The instant I piece it all together let's just say my reaction was pretty natural.
"DE' SURAI, JUST WHAT IN THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" I screamed. Her response was predictable for a woman in the throws of her heat cycle. "What does it look like I'm going to sample this fine piece of the male anatomy?" She purred. Not liking where this was going so I struggled to get out from underneath her. I was quick to learn that she bound my wrists and ankles keeping me from escaping.
Luckily Ashandria had some foresight in the event that I met a vixen in heat. Granted it's a tri-tailed wolf but, she's a female in heat and I needed to break free. The trick she taught me takes a lot of concentration when you turn yourself into a tazer. One wrong more could not only injure them but, make your heart literally stop. Seeing as she was so focus on what she was doing to notice anything I was up to.
Channeling a safe amount of energy down to my manhood and waited patiently. She took a long lick of my shaft if merely to wet her whistle first and I waited. When her muzzle engulf my shaft that's when she receive a not so friendly surprise. De' Surai couldn't have move any faster as the wolfess launched off of my body. Yelping in pain while I used the remaining energy to fry what she used to bind me.
Quickly fixing my clothes then returning my attention to a frightened De' surai. "I don't know what you were thinking and quite frankly I don't care right now. What I do want to know is why didn't you tell me earlier that you were in heat?" I said. She didn't speak fearing that I was actually going to raise my hand to her but, didn't. "Orion I didn't think my heat would reach its peak until I got back home." She replied.
Sadly this was one complication I really didn't want and yet, here it was anyway. Therefore it was up to me to come up with something before this happens again. Sending her home wouldn't be foolish since De' surai knows the area so intimately. I can't afford a repeat of moments ago either so I had to come up with a game plan. Preferably something that'd benefit the both of us and prevent anymore delays.
The more I racked my brain about this the more splitting up was the best option. I'd have to get her to show me the safest and quickest way to my destination and leave. Unfortunately that ended up backfiring seeing as she knows the terrain by sight. So having her look at map was pointless but, De'surai assured me she'd behave. Granted I was a little leery so I gave her the benefit of the doubt for the time being.
Secretly I kinda felt bad for her despite the fact that she almost tried raping me. Now if Kyuri, Renka or Nubai caught her than this wolfess would not have a prayer. Luckily for her, her fate was resting in my capable hands and yet, she was nervous. "Look we both know your heat is only going to get worse as time passes. Your knowledge of this entire area is invaluable but, being in heat is a hindrance." I began.
"I'm not trying to hurt your feeling and certainly don't want a repeat of earlier. We need to find a solution that works before your self control begins to slip." I stated. She saw that I wanted to help but, wasn't going to over look what happened. "If I had known sooner than I would've brought the appropriate supplies with me. Again I'm deeply sorry for letting my hormones cloud my judgment." She replied.
"Look, what's done is done no sense worrying about the past just leave it there. As I've said already we've still got a lot of traveling left to do before the next clue." I informed. With that we packed up everything then headed even further into the mountains. Granted this journey it's growing more and more endless that's not helping any. Though I'm hoping there's an end to this madness before something else transpires.
Boy there are times I wish that I wouldn't say stuff like that since it backfires. Fortunately nothing happened this time around to my relief but, time will tell. We continued on our journey hoping the next clue would reveal itself real soon. Though the more I wished for some kid of sign the more nothing actually happened. Even the completed mystical compass had become silent telling me we were lost.
Without warning the bloody thing went off like flare flooding the area in light. "You have come at last human we've been waiting for you, Thank you De' surai. We shall take things from here but, please allow me to transport you home. When we're done speaking with Orion, we'll see to it that he returns to the village." A voice said. Next De' surai was bathed in holy magic then vanished in the blink of an eye.
Next this narrow bridge made entirely of light stretched down from the sky. "Follow my voice everyone is waiting patiently to learn why you've come." It added. Doing as the strange voice said and walked on the bridge of light that appeared. For some reason or another I didn't like this but, I'll let this situation play out. If things get dicey than I'll find my own way back to De'surai's village from here.
As light died down enough to allow me to see where I was going but, I froze. Doing what I could to process where I was now standing was too much for me. "It's good to see you again human I see you survived the semi impossible trip unharmed." Ice said. Bowing respectfully to the goddess making her smile as she approached me. The goddesses of Earth, Fire, Water, Lightning and Wind appeared one by one.
Light and Darkness along with Life and Death had other things to attend to. How ever I hadn't come here to speak with the Elements but, the all mother, Enuna. Fortunately I didn't have to wait for her to arrive as felt someone right behind me. My next clue was thirteen long flowing tails swishing and curling independently. Doing the only thing I could do in this situation was look up at this latest arrival.
"MY, MY HELLO MY DARLING HUMAN WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE?" She asked. Sadly due to her sheer size her voice was so loud that I had to cover my ears. Upon seeing that happen then with a giggle Enuna took a more appropriate size. "Forgive me I forgot that in my true state my voice can be brutal on mortal hearing." She replied. Next she walked around so we'd be standing face to face then her head tilted slightly.
As I looked at the thirteen tail Kyubi goddess before me I was quite surprised. Bowing respectfully to the deity then asked for permission to speak my mind. She reached out with her hand then touched my chin making me look up. "Such respect along with a strong spirit and huge heart please say what you desire." Enuna smiled. Taking a couple of moments to gather my thoughts properly before telling her.
"I'm sorry for coming to your realm but, things in the mortal realm are in danger. A black furred Kitsune named Stark is absorbing life force to grow stronger. I fear he won't stop until his power surpasses you but, I don't think he'll stop there. Now I'm not asking for you to get involved in our affairs I've come for advice. Though I won't fight or argue should you choose to stay out of this completely." I informed.
Folding her arms across her rather ample bustline while she processed things. "Orion, you're the first human ever to make the tireless journey into our realm. That's no ordinary feat worthy of my daughters' attention and you returned my compass. You've come here for my advice regarding the kitsune Stark and nothing more. Surprisingly enough you know a rule that most gods and goddess have sworn to." Enuna began.
"Your future wives are truly fortunate to have you and I shall help you this time. What you do with what I'm going to share will determine the fate of both worlds. Humans and Kitsune alike will look to you to conquer this ever growing darkness. There is a great power sleeping inside of you Orion that's waiting to be unlocked. When the time comes you'll know how to release the kyubi within." She pointed out.
"Sorry all mother but, I think it's time for Orion to return to the wolf's village." Fire interrupted. Enuna looked to the tri-tailed vixen with fire burning on each of her tail tips. With a dip of her head Enuna waved her hand and teleported me back there. When the bright light faded I was a hundred yards from Jaxal's home village. Looking over my shoulder I could see a faint shimmering light far off in the distance.
Next I walked towards the gate where three guards were on high alert for trouble. Though when they saw me approaching two met me halfway and the other. Went to inform Rimeia and her wife, Drisix that I returned safely from my journey. De' surai wasn't too far behind the couple as we reached the center of the village. Of course they didn't waste time asking me tons of questions about what happened.
All I ended up saying was what they had told me was strictly for my ears only. "I figured as much Orion but, something interesting has happened since you left. Now I don't know if it was your doing or someone else but, what is that thing?" Rimeia asked. As we got to the central part of the village and standing there was the sentry. When it saw me it walked over then knelt down clearly awaiting for my orders.
Though it wasn't the only thing or should I say person I sensed that was here. Considering Rimeia had been smiling rather broadly so I didn't have to guess. "Do you have a problem with me coming home to visit family and check on you?" Jaxal asked. Looking at him for a moment then rolled my eyes and headed for the guest hut. "As happy as I am to see you Jaxal right now I need time to myself." I informed.
Once inside I closed and latched the flap so nobody could disturb my meditation. Trust me what Enuna told me was something I needed to find out for myself. If only to confirm or deny the information she told me during my brief holy visit. Now I'm pretty well aware of my abilities and powers but, what she told me. Left me with doubts that such a hidden power as she described dwells within myself.
Hopefully a deep meditation will yield some kind of result or at least a hint. Sadly before I could slip into a trance I over heard a rather loud fight outside my door. Groaning aloud then unlocked the flap and asked what the hell was going on. Catching both parties off guard while stopping everyone from what they were doing. Apologizing for my outburst then went back inside the hut and tended the fire.
It wasn't long before Jaxal enter and asked me what's really going on with me. Not wanting to lie to the wolf I told him everything I figured was vital information. When I finished he folded his arms across his chest then closed his eyes briefly. "Could it be the legends your grandfather wrote about hold some real truth? It's unlikely if you ask me but, given what you just told me I'm not so sure." He began.
"Perhaps we should talk to the Tribunal members and get their take on this. They would also be able to decipher what the all mother had revealed to you." He said. Jaxal went onto say that we wouldn't be taking the long way back to Mickale's village. We'd be teleporting so we didn't have to retake the route I took to get here. I was relieved to hear that seeing as I wasn't up for using the same path twice.
Rimeia was adamant that we spend the night and head out first thing tomorrow. She probably wanted to spend time catching up with her brother before we leave. Of course I didn't have a problem considering I wasn't up for traveling so soon. During dinner Jaxal sat in the alpha's chair while Rimeia sat over to his right. The rest of the pack followed a seating arrangement similar to a hierarchy.
De' surai was at the very end this telling me she was the lowest ranked wolf. I felt sorry for her but, unfortunately it wasn't my place to say anything about it. After all I'm only a guest in this village and I wasn't about to offer my two cents. Sadly my dilemma didn't go unnoticed as Drisix rose from her seat and approached. Asking me to follow her someplace we could talk out of earshot of the entire pack.
"Orion I saw that you wanted to express yourself regarding how everyone sits. We are first and foremost a wolf pack though we are open to outside opinions dear." She smiled. Scratching the back of my head briskly before saying I didn't want to be offensive. The tall silver grey wolfess leaned over and kissed me gently on the forehead. "You've heard this a few times already but, your wives are lucky." She informed.
"Yeah, so I've been told Drisix but, I'm worried about what's to come for everyone. There's only so much I can prepare for and training can only take me so far." I replied. She grabbed my wrist then brought me someplace that would help ease my mind. I didn't expect was a sanctuary to honor the warriors past, present and future. "Feel free to meditate here and you might get the answers you're looking for." She said.
With that she left me alone to my thoughts so I sat down and crossed my legs. Next I placed my arms on my thighs, closed my eyes then let my mind drift. It wasn't long before I was in a dream like trance how ever I wasn't alone long. "I've been waiting for you my son come we have much to talk about." Ashandria said. The first I did upon seeing her was rush into her arms and held my step mother tight.
She didn't hesitate to coil her arms around me we separated not long after. Where mother had me sit down across from her then waited for me to get comfy. "Orion, I know you have questions but, I asked that you answer mine first understand." She stated. Agreeing to her terms and answered her question one at a time until she was content. It was mostly catching up on the current state of the living world and other junk.
"Did I ever display any strange powers or abilities while you were raising me?" I asked. Placing her hands together fingertip to fingertip across her lap and thought back. Nothing seemed to register with her right away until something had finally clicked. "Yes, you have displayed an unusual power though at the time it was sporactic. It never resurfaced after that instance unless it appeared again after my death." She replied.
Telling of the two other times this strange power of mine came to the surface. Along with the golden fox-like aura that appeared when I channeled my energy. Ashandria went from calm to clearly surprised she grabbed my wrist and took off. Where ever she was taking me it was in regards to the info I provided her with. It wasn't long before I found myself surrounded by my mother's entire family bloodline.
What happened next I not sure how to process it when I was asked to power up. Not wanting to disobey I did as I was asked and began to channel all of my energy. Sadly when I reached my full potential nothing out of the ordinary jumped out. Until my step mother asked me to repeat everything after I came to after killing Fafner. Sitting down on the ground then loosely crossed my legs together and slowly relaxed.
Placing my hands together then began focusing all of my energy into them. Opening them slowly as a small ball of blue light appeared between my palms. The energy ball was no bigger than a golf ball but, grew the more power I put into it. Sure enough the same golden aura shrouded my body over time surprising my elders. While I simply kept my attention focused on the ball of energy resting in my hands.
Everyone around me had to take a few steps back as the aura kept on growing. Even after sparks of raw power crackled around while my energy continued building. Of course the ball of light in my hands had grown to the size of a big grape fruit. From there I focused the energy into it in finer amounts thus making it denser. That's when the aura's appearance began to take on another shape shocking everyone.
Ashandria couldn't believe what she saw but, she didn't try stopping it either. Especially when my aura took on the shape of a tri-tailed kitsune and kept growing. When the flaming violet eyes appeared that's when things got even more interesting. Again being solely focused I wasn't paying attention to what's going on around me. Until mother reached through the energy shroud and place a hand on my shoulder.
"That's enough my son the elders have seen everything they need to alright." She said. As the energy ball dissipated one of the elders knelt down before me and spoke. "When you spoke of him being unique my daughter I didn't think this much. Orion there's something powerful sleeping within you waiting to be unleashed. When the moment is right this power will become available but, don't lose yourself." He began.
"Power such as this has been known to corrupt the person that awakens it. You don't strike me as the kind of person to allow that to happen but, time will tell. The rest isn't for me to say Orion you'll just have to wait and see what the future holds. Good luck to you my son may the spirits keep you safe and help guide your path." He stated. Rising to my feet as most of the elders vanished leaving me and Ashandria alone.
"What my great grandfather told you was the truth and for your ears only my son. Though I sense there are dark times ahead for kitsune kind as well as the humans. Promise me Orion that what happens you'll watch your back and fight smart okay." Mom replied. Kissing her cheek and hugging her goodbye then woke up from my meditation. Sighing heavily before tracking down Jaxal and told him I was ready to leave.
Everyone from the village wished me well on my journey and we vanished. It would take about three jumps before we returned to Snowing Bark Cedar village. Where everyone was busy with their own thing to notice us appear in the town square. Of course we didn't remain that way long when Kyuri came bounding over. Before I could even brace myself she tackled me to the ground kicking up snow.
Jaxal stood there laughing at the scene before him then headed for Mickale's home. Where everyone had been pacing around the place worried about my well being. So when Kyuri and I walked into the house then entered the spacious living room. Let's just say it was a hug fest of affection and praise for coming home safely. Though as they wanted to know what happened I told them I'd share later.
Right now I had other things on my mind that needed to be sorted out first. Before doing any of that I decided take a hot bath then enjoy a nice hearty meal. Thus allowing me to focus on the task at hand and hopefully form some kind of plan. With the discovery of my hidden power along with that extremely rare metal alloy. I'll need to talk to Mickale about what can be done as far as forging it into something.
Until I noticed there was someone missing from my little welcome back party. The primal female kitsune I had rescued during my trip into the Hydra Mountain range. "If your wondering about your little rescue she's presently studying with Nubai. She took it upon herself to give the teenager an education in modern society." Renka stated. Now I heard her correctly but, I asked her to clarify what she meant by teenager.
Of course Renka was more than happy to tell me the vixen I had rescued. She was roughly a hundred and sixty years old and by kitsune standards a teenager. It made sense when I thought about it then asked what's been going on lately. She and the others have been helping out around the village waiting for my return. Since I'm back things can back to some sense of normal or at least try to anyway.
To be continued.
