For MatchstickWL

With the fall of Hyrule, there was little hope left for the Hylians. Since Link was captured, there was none. In the darkness that fell since Midna’s return, hope refused to shine.

Despite living in quarters that would have made Zelda’s rooms seem like a hovel, the once-hero knew that he was a prisoner. Midna might have been kinder to him than the rest of her subjects and the majority of her prisoners, but he knew that he was no less a prisoner than the rest of them. He waited in silence for her visits every day, knowing that she would have one offer or another to make to him.

The ruler of the Twili never made the same offer twice. Once, she offered him total freedom in exchange for the humanity of a dozen soldiers. He had turned her down, but the next day, she offered him the freedom of half the kingdom for the dignity of the entire land. Once more, he turned her down. The next day, she offered him the freedom of a city, and in exchange, another city would be turned into Twilit beasts.

It was never a good deal, but there were many days when he wondered if the deal would have been worth it in the long run. Perhaps he should say yes to the next one, he thought. If there was an offer that allowed him freedom, then he needed to take it. It was the only way to move forward again.

He was sat on the edge of his bed, looking out the window when she came. Link didn’t bother turning; instead, he ignored her for as long as he could. It wasn’t easy, particularly knowing what she looked like…and particularly from how long he had known her.

“Are you ready for today’s deal?” she asked.

He didn’t answer. He didn’t even turn until she reached out and touched his cheek, cupping his head and making him turn to look her in the eye. He tried to glare, but all he could muster was a slight stare.

The Twilight Princess looked down at him, gentle and beautiful, a far cry from the imp that he’d once known. She smiled slightly, shaking her head.

“You always were so stubborn.”

“…”

“I have a better deal for you than usual, today. I think this one might tempt you.”

He shook his head as she let him go, the princess turning her back on him. Her dress dragged across the floor like shadows, dark and heavy yet weightless. She snapped her fingers, and before them floated the lights of a hundred men. A hundred Hylians that were under her command.

“Today’s deal. I will release a hundred soldiers from Zelda’s army. A hundred men, free to go where they will without anyone to hunt them.”

“…” He gestured with one hand, waiting to hear the cost.

“In return, you allow me to cast one spell on you.”

A single spell. Link arched an eyebrow as she looked back at him, pointing to his head. She smiled.

“No, not on your mind. On your body. One that cannot force you to obey, but merely…give you incentive.”

“…”

He gestured at the lights again, and she nodded. All one hundred would be let loose, allowed to return to their old lives or even to Zelda, if they so wished. All he had to do was allow this one spell on him.

It was a deal that he could not refuse.

She took him to the depths of the castle, down to the darkest dungeon. Once, this place might have been used for the worst of the murderers, for those that had taken lives or done rape. Now, it was empty. The Twili had their own way of dealing with such people.

Midna had him stand in the middle of the room, and made him take off his tunic. He did it without hesitation, knowing that he had agreed to this. There was no way for a hero to back down from his word. Even a caged hero had his honor.

“I’m glad that you see things my way, Link. I know that we have our differences now, but…”

She looked at him, and the soft smile turned into something else. There were more teeth in that grin, more of a hunger than he had seen her show since her days as an imp. He remembered how she stared at him then, both in and out of wolf form, and he remembered how she’d stared at everything when she had been in his shadow. There’d been no modesty with her.

This was just one more moment like that, he told himself. One more time for her to get a good look at him.

“I’ve asked you before what you thought, Link. Of us.”

The only answer to that was a glare. She had introduced the thought before, told him what she wanted. He’d always turned her down. There was no peace between him and the conqueror of realms, no peace between hero and traitor.

She sighed.

“I suppose I couldn’t expect another answer from you, Link. Well, you have brought this on yourself. If I cannot have you as my hero…then I’ll have you as my imp.”

His eyes went wide, but it was the only reaction he had time for. She flicked her fingers at him, and the magic of the Twili sped through the air, catching him in the chest.

He went flying, landing right on his ass. His bare ass, as a matter of fact, considering that he had been launched right out of his pants. He was…he was shrinking, he realized, already having lost almost six inches of height. The hero rolled to his feet, jumping up, only to realize that he was jumping right off the ground.

If he could have spoken, he would have asked ‘how.’ As it was, he could only stare.

The swirling patterns of the Twili were already rippling out from the point of impact, a white-green along his chest with a dark green that popped out along his sides and arms. It continued to grow and swell like a dark oil on water, spreading out until there was not one tanned patch of skin left on him.

And still he was shrinking, losing height by the second. He was already less than five feet tall, and shrinking further, looking up at Midna as if she was a giantess. In some ways, she had become one.

She was able to loom over him as she smiled, chuckling, her magic lifting him back off his feet. He hung in mid-air as she turned him this way and that, as if admiring his body.

“A pity that you had to let it come to this. I would have liked to keep the fierce wolf. It seems I’ll have to settle for the blushing boy.”

There was anger, but also a shudder, a hint of fear that he had not felt in years. And it was all due to her magic, a magic that reached into him and grabbed at every part of his body, warping it and molding it to what she wanted it to be.

He could feel his strength fading as other parts expanded. Down to four feet in height, and still he was changing, still he was shrinking. If he was going to take her size, he still had at least another foot to lose, and more to go.

He felt her power through his chest and hips, could feel them expanding as other parts diminished. His hips almost seemed to vibrate before they flared outwards, becoming thick and heavy, feeling like they would sway no matter how he tried to move.

Claw-like fingers – no tender digits there – reached for his chest as he felt the tingles begin there, too. He pressed against his chest, against his nipples, but already they were more sensitive. He grimaced, trying to hide his reaction as the pleasure started to rise.

“Ah ah…”

Midna flicked her finger, and his hands were pulled to the side, restrained in her magic, impossible to move. He was forced to watch as his chest bloated, sagging with weight before lifting up in small, perky breasts. His cheeks burned in humiliation as he stared at it, unable to believe what he was seeing.

And then…then, his hair started growing.

It had always been long, but as it broke its ties, it fell over his head, the blond turning to red, and the red turning to the orange that Midna had always had. It fell over his face, spreading across one side, completely covering one of his eyes. It was almost like an exact copy of how her helmet had blocked off one of her eyes while she had been an imp.

“A good look for you, my once-hero,” she said with a smile. “But there’s something that’s still so out of place…”

Link knew what it was, and he knew what she was going to do. So, instead of hiding, he spread his legs, allowing his human-sized member to thrust forward. If she was going to take it, he would meet it with pride. He would meet it with all the bravery that he had left.

“Oh, you take all the fun out of it.”

She flicked her hand at him, and once more, the magic struck. Link hissed, feeling the pressure of her power pressing down on his member, feeling the inches he had be stripped from him one by one. Six became five, then four, then three, all of the flesh forced down until it was little more than a tiny tube that left him but a hint of his former masculine pride.

As the magic pressed his sack up, making it so small that it almost didn’t seem to be there any longer, he shivered. His anger, his fear, and what was left of his courage left him with a profound sense of wrongness. Every shift made things jiggle that shouldn’t, and he knew, he knew, that this was wrong.

Midna walked over to him as she dropped him, looming over him more than ever. She picked up his hat, dropping it on his head, and it fell over his eye the same as his hair, blinding him on one side.

“There we are, my hero. Or should I say, my retainer?”

Her smile was met with a glare, one that she shrugged off with ease. Instead, she turned, and he was forced to jog to follow her, his cheeks burning at his lack of clothing.

“The prisoners will still be freed, but only after seeing you as you are.” She smirked slightly. “After all, why should they be allowed hope, when none is left?”
