Sorry for the long delay on this one. IRL and writer's block conspired against me. Hopefully the next couple of chapters will come faster.

Paul attempts to sneak into his brother's office to steal information about the growhouses' planting schedules, only to have his plans dashed as he gets caught by his old friend Bryce. Back at the warren Pox and Ticktock gang up on Paul to help take his mind off his failure.

Paul stood nervously in the alleyway, rubbing at his face and taking a deep breath. He ran a finger under his collar and swallowed a lump in his throat. He and Pox had left Ticktock back in the warren, and now Pox had vanished into the night. She was still in earshot, keeping an eye on the grow house from as close a distance as she could, as was their plan. But this part was all on him. He took a deep breath, and put on his most confident face, and made his way toward the growhouse. He walked right up to the gate where two of the security guards stood.

One of the men raised a hand to stop him, “Oy, no trespassing!" he said.

Paul swallowed for a moment as he mustered his courage and glared the man down, “And just who do you think you are talking to? I'm Paul Hawthorne, I'm here to see my brother in his office, now let me pass or I'll have your job!"

The guard swallowed and stammered for a moment, “Oh, my apologies master Hawthorne, I didn't recognize you, it's been a while." He then turned to the other guard, “Let him through, he's the boss' brother!" and the two stepped out of the way.

Paul nodded and then gave a warm smile, “Thank you gents, have a good evening," he said and made his way into the building, breathing a sigh of relief as he made it out of ear shot. He continued on down the hall toward the stairs leading up, hoping to make it in and out quickly. He was fortunately familiar with the way, and quickly made it up to the higher level where his brothers office was. He passed by a couple of other workers, but no one paid much attention to him as dressed as he was.

When he arrived at the office, Paul thankfully found it unlocked and went inside, turning up the light by the door so that he could see. He had been in here many times over the years, spending time with his older brother as he worked. He enjoyed the view out into the growhouse proper, seeing the many tiered shelves of plants lit brightly with gas and limelights. He went to the shelves on one wall, looking over the various books, reading the spines of some and pulling out others, trying to find the one he was looking for.

As he was distracted by his searching, he didn't hear anyone coming up on the door, until it unlatched and opened, and a voice spoke, “Hey boss, I'm just letting you-" before the person was cut off.

Paul looked to the door, startled for a moment, and found himself looking at the short broad man standing there. He recognized the short curly hair and beard. Paul swallowed some at being caught, “Oh…um…greetings Bryce, it's been a while."

The man gave a nod, “Aye it has Paul. Haven't seen you around these parts in some time…what are you doing here?"

Paul gave a weak smile, “Oh, well…I was sent here to get a copy of your updated planting schedule for my father. He wants to make sure James is running this place right after all," he said with a forced chuckle. He was getting nervous…Bryce wasn't being his usual boisterous self. “You know what sort of a man my father has. Everything has to be up to his standard or else," he said giving another weak laugh.

Bryce looked at Paul for a long moment, before letting out a small chuckle and giving Paul a wide toothy grin, “Ah, well you won't find it here. They only just came in yesterday. I have a copy in my workshop though you can have," he then gave a nod to Paul, waving him over, “Come down there with me, I'll show you what I have been working on these days, bore you with some talk of botany for a while!"

Paul shook his head, “Oh, thank you, but no. The book alone will suffice," he said swallowing and moving closer to the other man, “My father was insistent I get the book and hurry home, but maybe we can catch up some other time? Next week I should have a day off maybe?" he said.

Bryce chuckled and shook his head, “Nonsense! We haven't seen each other in months, come on, I'll only keep you a few minutes, your father will understand!" he said clapping a hand on Paul's back as he ushered him ahead. The two made their way back down to the ground level and Bryce continued talking, “I have developed a new strain of tuber, it will increase our yields by over twenty percent, we'll be starting them on the main floor as soon as the new season starts."

Paul gave a slow nod, “Oh, that's amazing! Have you had any luck with other vegetables as well?" he asked, walking along though he glanced up at the glass roof and then walls of the grow house, hoping Pox was out there watching out for him.

The shorter man shook his head, “Not as of yet. I'm trying to work on a new cultivar of white beans, selecting for more pods and leaves, and fewer vines. I haven't found the right combination yet, but I think I'm getting close," he then smiled, “Ah, here we are. My little garden," he said leading Paul through a secure iron door into a smaller version of the large grow-house. Two of the walls and ceilings were made up of the same heavy panes of glass, and half of the space was filled with the same sorts of trays of soil and grow lights. Most contained various crops in different stages of growth. The other side had several iron worktables with glass alchemical equipment for experimenting on the crops. Most of these were in a chaotic state with papers and pens strewn about in a manner that Paul suspected only Bryce could decipher.

Despite not having an interest in botany and his reservations, Paul found it all to be quite impressive all the same, “I see you are right at home here, Bryce, I'm glad my brother has been good to you."

Bryce nodded stepping back as Paul moved forward into the small laboratory, “Aye, yes, feel free to have a look around. And how about you, anyway? How have you been doing?" he asked.

Paul swallowed and tried to give as nonchalant of a shrug as possible, “Oh…you know, just busy with work. Being a clerk for my father means doing all of his paperwork for him so he doesn't have to," he said, “And I do have a mountain of it I need to tackle, so if I could get that book for him I-" He was cut off by a loud clanking sound as the door to the laboratory was shut and the heavy latch was shut. Paul turned around to see Bryce with one hand on the door lever, the other holding a large knife. “Bryce, what are you…?"

“I know you aren't here for a book for your father. I also know you don't even work for him or the council anymore." The man frowned and shook his head slowly, “I read the papers you know, I saw that piece about you and that rat. Your brother also filled me in on the rest of what's going on when rumors started to go 'round that you weren't seen at the council house."

Paul clenched his hands into fists, looking around for an alternate exit and finding none. The door was the only way in or out of the room. “What's the plan here then?" he asked taking a few steps back, to put a little distance between him and Bryce.

The other man shrugged, “I plan on keeping you here. I'm sure your brother or father would pay me a nice hefty reward for turning you in to them."

“You really don't want to do that Bryce, I didn't come here alone, and you don't want to meet the rat I brought with me under these circumstances," Paul said, hoping that Pox was already on her way.

Bryce shook his head, “Really Paul, I can't believe you tossed your lot in with those vermin," he said, spitting at the last word.

Paul shook his head and growled, “They aren't vermin, Bryce, they are people just like you and me. Hell, I think they are damn better people than we are at times."

“That fever must have really cooked your brain to make you say such rubbish. It certainly must have made you mad enough to go and abandon your family and friends like that," Bryce said, shaking his head.

Paul glowered at him and clenched his jaw, turning away from him for a moment, catching his reflection in the glass wall. He stared at it for a long while, “You mean a father who only has use for children for securing some plan for a legacy? Or my indifferent brother? Or how about you Bryce?" Paul asked, “You didn't even come to check on me when you heard I was sick, and look at yourself now, holding me here at knife point. I used to believe we were friends, but I can see now that I'm nothing but a big sack of coin to you."

Bryce gave an indignant frown at that, “I admit I'm taking advantage of a situation that's presented itself to me, but you know damn well that I have been nothing but kind to you."

“Only because my father and brother are the most powerful men in the city, you don't give a damn about me, and you never have." Paul turned and walked to the far wall, placing a hand on the glass pane, looking at his reflection. He let out a heavy sigh, “Please Bryce, I'm begging you to just let me go. I will walk out that door, out of this building, and no one will get hurt."

Bryce waved the knife in his hand, gesturing to a stool, “The only one who stands to get hurt is you, now have a seat. I'm not scared of any rats you brought, and for that matter, I'd like to see them get in here, that door is solid cast iron, over an inch thick! Nothing can get through it."

Paul caught something moving in the dark outside. He breathed a sigh of relief and then turned and looked at Bryce, “You might be right about that…the door is iron, but that wall is made of glass," he said, taking a step to the side as a large stone smashed through the heavy pane, shattering it into a million fragments with a loud crash. Pox leapt through the fresh hole made, landing in front of where Paul was standing, before she rose up to her full height, standing a full head above Paul, who himself was the taller of the two humans.

Bryce's eyes went wide as he saw Pox there and the hand holding the knife began to shake, “B-bloody hell…"

Paul couldn't help but smirk at Bryce's expression. “You haven't seen any rats before, have you?" he asked, and chuckled, “Bryce, meet my wife, Pox. Now, that crash probably alerted the guards, so I don't have a lot of time. Is the book I want here or was that entirely a ruse?" he asked as Pox stepped forward, drawing her own dagger.

Bryce swallowed and shook his head, “N-no…I don't have it…" he said, shrinking back as Pox moved right up on him, moving her muzzle close to his face, with her nose twitching slowly as she sniffed the air around him.

Paul let out a groan, rubbing his forehead, “Fantastic, this was for nothing then…fine we'll be leaving now. It would be in your very best interest to not tell anyone you saw me. Make up some excuse about the window. I don't want to hear of a single rat catcher in the sewers or any moves by my father to retaliate," he then gestured to Pox, “I know where you live, and she has your scent now, and we will make sure you don't live to spend any gold you'd get for turning me in," he said before turning, and climbing through the broken window pane, running toward the fence line, where a hole had been cut for his escape.

Pox glared at Bryce and then let out a loud screech in his face, before turning and following Paul.

Back at the Warren Paul paced back and forth in the little alcove, ducking to avoid hitting his head on some of the watches hanging from the ceiling, “I can't believe this all was a waste of time," he said and growled, punching at a wall several times in frustration.

Ticktock moved up next to him and grabbed his hand, “It was a risk, Paul. You knew it might not work," she said, gripping at his hand with both of hers.

He shook his head and sighed, “I know…"

Pox was standing with her arms over her chest, looking to the floor, “Should have killed other human, will be trouble later."

Paul looked over at her and frowned, “No…I…I don't know…" he sighed again, pulling his hand from Ticktock's grip and he resumed his pacing, “He probably will say something to my father. I would expect there will be more men watching the grow houses. I don't think I'll be able to make another go at going in."

Pox nodded, “Will be harder to get food when money runs out," she said and shrugged, “But we manage," she said and then looked up at Paul and sighed, “Paul, come here," she said and grabbed his arm, pulling him up against her, holding him in a firm grip that he couldn't break out of. “You try and fail, better than not trying," she said and rubbed her muzzle against his cheek.

He struggled against her for a few moments before relenting and sighing, raising a hand to her cheek and rubbing softly at it, “Yeah, I suppose you are right, Pox," he sighed and put his arms around her, and pressed his face into her fur. He was pleased to find that the bath he had given her had made her smell much less overpowering.

He felt Ticktock move up behind him, hugging from behind and resting her head on his shoulder, “Pox is right," she said, “You tried and failed, but at least you tried."

Paul smiled, “Well I still want to keep trying…I want to stay on the good side of as many of your people as possible," he said, running his hands over Ticktock's side.

Pox nuzzled more at him and squeezed gently, rubbing her hands over his sides, “You not convince everyone, though, so stop worrying!" she said and gave his neck a lick before making an exaggerated disgusted face, “Yuck, nasty soap!" she said playfully and then started to laugh.

Paul felt Ticktock's hands moving to his belt as she rubbed her cheek over the other side of his neck, “We can fix that, dear sister," she said and giggled, “And help our mate relax too!"

The human let out a soft chuckle and sighed, realizing he was trapped between them. “You two…" he sighed and reached his hands down to Ticktock's squeezing them before he helped her get his clothes off. “I love you both, very much," he said.

Pox cupped Paul's cheeks in her hands and looked into his eyes, “We love you," she said and leaned in to kiss him, pressing her muzzle against his lips, and she pushed her tongue into his mouth, causing him to shiver and moan out as the larger rat overtook his senses.

Before he knew it, Pox was on her back with Paul on top of her. He kissed at her muzzle and along her jaw as he felt Ticktock hugging him from behind, resting her weight on top of him. He gasped when he felt her hand on his member, lining him up so that he could sink deep into her needy sister. “Aah…you girls…" he said and gasped as he did so, groaning out at the feel of Pox's hot cunt sliding over his rod.

The larger rat gasped and arched her back as her lover pushed deep into her, and she put her arms around him to pull him down against her front. Her tunnel clenched and squeezed down on him firmly. She groaned and gasped, and closed her eyes, “Yes…good human…" she said with a groan.

Paul panted hard and groaned out himself, holding tightly to Pox as he rocked his hips, driving into her over and over as he kissed at her throat. He felt Ticktock's tail curling between his legs to tease him as she nuzzled against his neck, and he felt her hot breath in his ear. He panted and let out a soft groan, turning his head to press his lips to hers in a kiss, moving a hand to rub the side of her cheek before he pulled back with a gasp as pox squeezed down on him again.

Pox gasped and writhed under Paul, her hands gripping at him and digging her sharp claws into his skin and causing him to hiss out in pain, as she arched her back and let out a moan with each thrust of his hips against hers. She closed her eyes tightly, and Paul could already tell she was getting closer and closer to her climax with each passing moment.

Ticktock for the moment was content to grind herself into Paul's back, her hands running over his chest as she giggled into his ear, “Yes…be a good human and breed your mate," she said teasingly into his ear as she looked over his shoulder at Pox's face.

Paul gave a small chuckle between pants at ticktock's teasing and he groaned out, feeling his own climax approaching as he continued to thrust into Pox. He was caught off guard as the large rat suddenly tensed up, letting out a screech of pleasure, while Paul let out a gasp of pain as Pox's hands slipped and her claws left deep scratches in his back. Both rats didn't let him stop, however, making him press on until his own climax, when he pressed deep into Pox, and he began to fill her with his seed.

Both he and Pox soon relaxed as their climaxes subsided and they settled into an afterglow, pressed against each other with their bodies damp with sweat. Ticktock pulled away after a few minutes and looked over the scratches Pox had left in Paul's back. They were fairly shallow, but the pale fur on Ticktock's breasts were streaked with his blood. It wasn't the first time something like that had happened, the rats were rough lovers, and scratches and bites were common. Paul already had a spiderweb of thin scars and scratches on his back and chest from the trio's frequent lovemaking.

Pox squeezed Paul firmly against her and let out a soft sigh, before the human felt a familiar wetness over his groin as Pox started to piss on him as she usually did. He merely sighed, “You are so disgusting," he muttered as he lay there in her grasp. Finally, when she was finished she released her grip, and he pulled away from her, rolling onto his back.

He had his eyes closed until he felt Ticktock getting on top of him, and he opened his eyes only to see her grinning wickedly as she straddled his waist before she followed her sister's example, and Paul watched as she emptied her bladder over him, leaving him thoroughly soaked and stinking of their fluids. He shivered, “Ugh…isn't the smell of you rubbing on me enough?" he asked them.

Ticktock giggled a bit, leaning over to kiss his lips, “You keep washing our scent off! We need to keep other females away from you somehow!" she said and snuggled up close to him.

Paul grumbled, “Now you sound like Pox!" he said.

Pox giggled and nuzzled the top of Paul's head, “That because Pox is smartest rat and knows best! If want keep mate, have to mark mate!" she said.

Paul sighed and closed his eyes, “You are both disgusting!" he said and shifted his position a bit pausing for a few moments before suddenly grabbing Ticktock and rolling over and pinning her down onto the bed on top of Pox, causing both rats to screech in surprise. Paul then rose up on his knees, “But if that's what I'm supposed to do…" he said, taking hold of his cock and aiming it at Ticktock's pussy before releasing his own stream. He soaked her crotch completely before aiming lower and doing the same to Pox, making sure both were thoroughly soaked. He then grinned triumphantly, “There, now everyone will know you both are mine!" he said.

The two rats chattered indignantly at him before looking at each other and both nodded in unison, before turning to face Paul. His smile faded before he suddenly let out a yelp of his own as the two rats grabbed him and pulled him back down to the rag pile, pinned between the two of them. Pox grinned and nipped at Paul's ear, “Good! Now Paul disgusting too! Just like his rat wives!"

Paul let out a groan and a sigh, “There is no winning with you two, is there?"

Ticktock giggled and pulled Paul in for another kiss, “Nope! Now, you disgusting human, mate with me!"
