After needing a few too many rescues due to some... slightly reckless adventuring, Comet has found herself paired up with a much more experienced explorer for a mission, to hopefully learn how to be a bit more careful when clearing through a dungeon. Though it seems like unfortunate predicaments are just drawn to the shinx, even as she tries to avoid them.~

Grumbling a little bit, Comet started to push herself up off the ground, taking Rai’s silent offer of a paw to lift her up, though as she looked at her now inflatable paws with fused, painted-on digits, it was clear she wouldn’t be doing any more successful fighting this dungeon, given she couldn’t make any electricity either. “I’m alright, held them off long enough and didn’t get hurt too bad… and at least I can’t feel any of it now anyways. I’ve run into these traps a few times before, I’m used to it.” If nothing else, the inflatable body she now had didn’t feel any of the pain from the scratches and bruises she’d sustained in the prior fight – that was one upside to getting caught by one of these.

“We should probably head back to get this cleared for you, then… we made it pretty close to the end, anyways,” Rai said, seemingly not wanting to push the shinx any further, though she quickly dismissed that concern.

“If we’re close to the end, then we can finish it out, I’ll just trail behind while we finish it and try to stay out of harm’s way.” She picked back up her adventurer’s bag that she’d dropped during her fall onto the trap, turning to offer for Rai to take some berries out of it now that she couldn’t really do any minute manipulations, like picking them out of the bag for her. It was a little embarrassing every time, being stuck in a body like this for a while… but she’d gotten at least a little used to it. Well… she told herself as much, at least, as she tried not to blush too obviously from the familiar feeling of near-weightlessness as she walked, or the little creaks of vinyl any time she moved.

Or from the other obvious disadvantage that came with substitute traps… that being how especially sensitive they made you in certain spots.
