A Dog in Blue: The Choice
Imported from SF2 with no description.
Hello everyone, I've had this idea floating around in my head for a while and finally got the drive to write it down. Hopefully I'll be able to stay on top of this project.

June 4th, 1969
South Bronx
James growled and violently fiddled with the radio dials in his squad car. The 28 year old human absolutely hated what he called, “Nigger tunes” and “Fur jams” with a passion .The Jersey native finally found a station playing the Beach Boys and settled down, snapping along contentedly to “God Only Knows”. The driver, a German Shepherd of the same age named Travis, grit his teeth and grabbed the wheel harder.
Being a Cop tasked with patrolling the poorer, minority neighborhoods would have been hard enough for the Dog without being paired with the most racist, speciesist, and sexist douche in his graduating class. There was nothing to be done though, James was the chief’s nephew and had a very solid record. James would chalk it up to persistence and excellent policework, while the fact of the matter was that the human was a savage animal who wantonly abused his power and consistently got away with it.
“Hey Travis,” James looked over his shoulder, “It’s been a long time since we’ve had a call. Have you seen anything?”
The Dog shook his head.
“It’s Wednesday at 2 in the afternoon,” Travis chuckled, “Most people are working.”
“In this neighborhood?” James scoffed, “Bullshit. We’re going to get a call in the next hour about some shifty Fur doing something he oughtn’t.”
James reached down and took a sip out of his glass bottle of Coca-Cola.
“They’re the most unemployed class in America,” The human continued, “Say what you will about the spics and the niggers, but Furs are the true parasites on society. Excepting upstanding examples like yourself of course.”
“Of course,” The Dog replied through gritted teeth, “There’s nothing wrong with a quiet patrol. We’ll get out in a block or two, walk around, then head back. I know we’ve got paperwork to fill out for that 14 year old Bat you beat up.”
The kid James had “legally arrested” was called in as a suspicious person a dozen or so blocks from here. He had gotten home from school and locked himself out of his house. He and his older sister were very clear about what had happened, but James didn’t care. By the time the human had finished beating the Bat into submission a riot had almost started and the kid had a broken jaw and two broken arms.
“I was just doing my job,” James frowned as Travis parked the car in front of a small Cajun food joint, “The kid was resisting arrest.”
“Probably because he had no business being arrested,” Travis turned the engine off and stepped out, “What the hell were you thinking?”
“I was thinking on my toes,” The human replied, “I wasn’t about to let my fucking species get in the way of police work. I don’t see the issue.”
“Of course you don’t,” Travis growled and started walking, “Asshole.”
The growl was quickly replaced by a smile. A lot of Furs were relieved to see a Fur cop walking the streets. While James got glares, Travis got smiles and good day’s. The reverse was true in the human neighborhoods, particularly the white ones. The police chief knew this and, even though things were always in James’s favor, made sure they were assigned to a mix of both kinds.
The pair rounded the corner and saw a Raccoon underneath a freshly painted green car. Travis chuckled and walked up. He loved cars. Especially gorgeous cars like this Dodge Monaco. James stood back. He wasn’t comfortable dealing with Furs candidly like this. That was fine. The human just set them off.
“Hey pal,” Travis began, “How’s she looking?”
The Raccoon looked over at the police officer’s blue uniforms and slowly backed out from underneath the car. He removed his hat and stood in front of the police, surprise etched on his face.
“Oh, um, good,” The Raccoon chuckled, “Sorry, I’m not used to seeing cops here. Let alone Fur ones.”
“That’s something we’re trying to change,” Travis replied with a smile, “We want to let everyone in the city know we’re here for them.”
The Raccoon frowned and put his hat back on.
“Is that what they tell you to say at the station?” He began, “Look, don’t come down here pretending you’re making a difference. Innocent Furs are killed almost daily by cops, while the Furs on the force don’t say a fucking thing. What makes you such a hero?”
“I,” Travis mentally kicked himself, “I mean we’re trying as best as we can. It won’t happen overnight.”
“That’s the same bullshit they’ve been telling us for years,” The Raccoon spat on the ground in front of the German Shepherd, “Don’t parrot it back to me. Ask yourself, was it worth becoming the smiling face of discrimination? When’s the last time you did the right thing?”
The Raccoon scoffed.
“You’re just their bitch boy aren’t you?” He continued, “I’m amazed they let you out in public without a leash and a muzzle on.”
James stepped forward, his hand clutching the handle of his nightstick. The Raccoon glared and stood his ground. A crowd had gathered to watch the altercation, angry and silent. Travis had no way of knowing how long they had been here.
“What are you gonna do?” The Raccoon bared his teeth, “I’m not some fourteen year old kid.”
James snarled and lunged, but was stopped mid-swing by Travis’s well muscled arm.
“No,” Travis began, “Let’s go.”
“Fuck that,” James spat as the German Shepherd started to walk away, “You’re going to let him talk like that.”
“Talking isn’t a crime James,” The Dog replied, “Come on. Let’s do our job.”
Travis edged through the crowd, all of whom looked at him with a combination of admiration and disbelief. James looked back and forth nervously and quickly followed suit, running for the gap that Travis had left in the crowd. The pair walked back to their car, the smile on Travis’s face gone.
“That was not okay,” James huffed as he got in the car, “Not okay at all.”
“What do you want to do about it?” Travis began with a groan, “You want to start another species riot?”
“If it means teaching these fucking degenerates some respect I do,” James growled and pulled his revolver out, “After that last one in Manhattan, it’s clear they deserve it.”
“No one deserves something like that,” The Dog shook his head, “You wouldn’t be saying that if it happened in your neighborhood.”
James threw his head back and laughed.
“Not like it happened in yours,” James replied, “Or did it?”
“I was 13 years old,” Travis growled and stopped the car, “They had just muzzled and arrested my father. Mom was out working, she had to pick up two jobs once Dad went to jail. That meant I had to watch my two younger siblings until she got back. First thing I remember hearing were the gunshots. There were a lot of them.”
James shut up.
“We were there for a week,” The Dog continued, “We had nothing but breakfast cereal and popcorn in the house at the time, Mom hadn’t made her grocery run yet. We couldn’t have eaten the popcorn if we wanted to seeing as the power went out for two weeks. People tried to get in, steal what little we had. It was a zoo.”
The human shook his head.
“This is why your kind doesn’t deserve freedom,” James began, “Can’t you see that?”
The German Shepherd glared at his partner but bit back an angry retort. It was never worth arguing with James. The human was firmly set in his ways. Travis was just hoping the human would get promoted and become someone else’s problem.
“Let’s just go back to the precinct,” Travis growled, “We’ve got things to do.”

Later that night
Behind the Crimson Plaza
Nathan cried out, his salt and pepper furred face pressed against a brick wall, as the Wolf roughly fucking him came with a snarl. In his experience, Wolves were always rough, especially when they had the money to pay for anything they wanted. This Wolf had already came three times, and net the Australian Cattle Dog 150 dollars. Nathan yet out a yelp as the bigger canine pulled out of him with a growl.
“Thanks pup,” The Wolf handed Nathan another fistful of cash, “You gonna be here next week?”
Nathan shook his head.
“I don’t like working the Plaza,” The Australian Cattle Dog chuckled, “It’s one of the few bars in town I can actually have a good time in. I like to separate my work from my pleasure.”
The Wolf scoffed.
“So what?” He posed and grinned, “Was I not pleasurable enough for you? You came right?”
“I came twice big guy,” Nathan gave the Wolf a pat on the shoulder, “Come buy me a drink next time you see me though. You play your cards right and you might not have to pay.”
The Wolf smirked and handed the Cattle Dog a twenty dollar bill. Nathan looked down at it and whined. He was tired and his younger siblings were waiting up for him.
“Don’t worry,” The Wolf smiled, “It’s a tip. For a job well done.”
“Thank you,” Nathan smiled and slid the unusual gesture into his shirt pocket, “Enjoy the rest of your night okay.”
The Australian Cattle Dog walked down the alleyway and turned onto a dimly lit street. Fortunately home, a small, shoddy apartment, was only a couple of blocks away. He whistled quietly, a spring in his step. Now that he had the Wolf’s money, he had more than enough to pay for rent, medicine, and food for he and his 5 younger siblings for a week at least, two if he was smart about his spending.
A car slowly rolled up beside him and flashed his lights. The Cattle Dog stopped. He didn’t recognize the car, a white Plymouth Valiant, but that wasn’t anything new. Word got around fast about the Cattle Dog’s activities. The window rolled down and a balding, middle-aged, white man with a greying mustache stuck his head out the window.
“Hey there,” He began, “I hear you’re the guy to go to for a good time.”
“Most of the time,” Nathan chuckled, “I’m done for tonight. I’ve got to get home.”
“I can give you a ride there after we finish,” The human smiled, “Come on. I really need some action tonight.”
Nathan shook his head.
“Come back another night pal,” Nathan kept walking towards his apartment, “We can do business then.”
The human frowned and sped up, turning sharply and parking his car in front of the Cattle Dog. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his badge.
“Does this change things?” The human smirked, “You get in this car or we’re taking a ride to the station.”
The Human chuckled as he opened the door.
“Hey, don’t worry,” The cop looked up and down the Dog’s body, “I’ll still pay you. I’m not an animal.”
The Dog sighed and got into the police officer’s car. A little bit of extra money never hurt, even if it was from a cop. The human drove a short distance and then turned down into a secluded alleyway. The cop leaned back into his chair and undid his belt and holster, letting his service pistol fall to the seat.
“Okay,” Nathan took a deep breath, “What would you like?”
“How much for you to pull your cock out and stroke yourself off?” The Cop murred, “I’ve always wanted to see what your dicks look like.”
That wasn’t a weird request, especially from a human. The only issue was is they always wanted more.
“And then?” The Dog asked, “That it?”
The human smirked.
“If I like what I see I want you to stroke me too,” The cop replied, “Maybe more after if you’re a good boy.”’
Nathan let out a fake laugh and crossed his arms.
“You gotta pay me first,” Nathan began, “The first part will be 20 bucks.”
“Sounds good,” The human reached into his back pocket, pulled a 20 dollar bill from his wallet, and set the stuffed brown leather wallet onto his dash, “Open up those cute pants for me.”
The Dog took the money, put the bills on the dash, and undid his pants. He wasn’t wearing any underwear and his grey and white sheath popped out immediately. The human murred and reached down, moving it around between his fingers. Nathan recoiled but barely managed to maintain his composure.
“Touchings going to cost you extra,” The Dog looked at the human sternly, “Ten more to be exact.”
The human grumbled and put another bill on the stack of money on the dash. He got over it quickly after Nathan leaned back for him, spreading his legs and showing a little flash of pink. The Dog looked over the human and moaned quietly, bringing the older man’s hand to his cock with a tender paw.
“Don’t keep me waiting,” Nathan murred as the cop started to tease his member out of the sheath, “That’s it, good boy.”
“Oh I’m the good boy?” The Cop chuckled and stroked a little harder, pushing back the Dog’s sheath all the way, “Hehe you’re a mouthy little pup aren’t you.”
“Give me some more cash and I’ll show you,” Nathan moaned as the cop stroked the underside of his knot, “You’ve done this before haven’t you Officer.”
The Officer chuckled and looked up at the Dog. It had started to rain now, and it pattered onto the dash and passenger seat.
“How much to suck it?” The human asked, “That going to cost me extra too?”
Nathan shuddered as the human took the red rocket in both hands and started to jerk the Dog off. The Cattle Dog let out a moan, prompting the man to chuckle before wrapping his lips around the first couple inches of the Dog’s cock. The cop pulled back and shook his head, electing instead to jerk the Cattle Dog off.
“You smell too much like Wolf cum,” The Cop frowned, “You let the last guy finish all over you didn’t you?”
Nathan blushed and moaned as the human’s talented hands hit him in all the right places. The man continued to stroke him, harder and faster. A chuckle escaped the man’s lips as the Dog started to squirm underneath him.
“You like that don’t you puppy,” The human murred, “Cum for me.”
Almost as if on cue, Nathan gasped and came, hard, coating himself, the car, and the man with his seed. The Dog panted and whined, his eyes closing as the cop pulled back and wiped off his face.
“Was that your first time tonight?” The cop chuckled, “You’re a productive little pup aren’t you.”
Nathan blushed and panted.
“That wasn’t my first orgasm,” Nathan murred, “I could go again if you wanted.”
“It’s a shame I have to do this then,” The cop began, “We could have had a lot of fun together.”
“Wait what?” Nathan asked, “What are you talking about?”
“Old habits die hard I guess,” The man pulled back and undid his pants, “Normally I’d try and make you feel some more pleasure before I did this, but you’ve lost that privilege.”
Nathan tried to escape and took the split second he had before the man pounced on him to reach for the door handle. He cried out as the cop roughly threw him down onto the seat on his back with the human between his legs. Limbs flailed, knocking the money, the hood ornaments, and the cop’s gun onto the floor. The cop murred and wasted no time in lining himself up and pushing into the Dog’s tight rear.
“Mmm, you’re lucky you’ve had someone else before me,” The Cop caressed the Dog’s face, “Now you’re just going to be limping home instead of the hospital.”
Nathan cried out and fought against the human, his paws striking hard against the larger male’s chest and shoulders. The Cop growled and struck the Dog across the face hard, over and over, until he was finally limp enough. Nathan continued to strike, more feebly now, as the human started thrusting hard. Eventually, he gave up, his paws dropping off the side of the seat and brushing the floor.
His finger brushed the cop’s service revolver and a wave of relief washed over him. The human murred and put his hands over the Dog’s face, one of them going down to press down hard on the Dog’s throat.
“Sorry for leading you on kid, but you’ve seen my face,” The cop grunted as he continued to thrust, “There’s no way I can let you live..”
Nathan’s eyes went wide and he grabbed the gun without hesitation. He bit down on the cop’s hand, hard enough to draw blood, and used the distraction to bring the gun up to the human’s stomach. He took a deep breath, looked the man dead in the eyes, and started firing.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Meanwhile
Travis marched through the alley with his service revolver drawn, his two bags of groceries sitting on the curb and soaking in the rain. He had heard the screams from the sidewalk, the struggle as he set the bags of food down, and the six shots as he was already running down the alleyway. He could see the car now and what little light was there revealed the blood that coated the windows.
The German Shepherd walked around to the side of the car and gasped. It was Officer McNeil. He had four bullet holes in him, three in his stomach, and one through his chin and neck. He was most definitely dead. Across from him was a trembling Australian Cattle Dog, still trying to fire the now empty pistol. Travis surveyed the scene again and saw that both parties had their pants undone. He knew what had happened here.
Officer McNeil was assigned onto the case of a serial killer. The suspect was a human male who raped and murdered vulnerable gay canines. McNeil must have the killer all along. Travis growled and glared at the dead human. The sick fuck deserved what he got. The human had a thing for younger male Furs. Travis himself had been on the receiving end of the human’s advances, which culminated in a violent rape in the showers and Travis transferring to being a beat cop. It was as far from the older man as Travis could get without quitting his job.
Travis knocked on the passenger side window, startling the Cattle Dog and making him whine out in fear. Shakily, the younger Dog rolled the window down and looked up at Travis with swollen eyes. He was injured and bleeding, it looked like McNeil had beat him heavily before starting in on his fun.
“Please,” The Cattle Dog whined, “He was going to kill me.”
Travis froze. The Raccoon's words rang in his head. What makes you such a hero? This moment would. Travis softened his face and opened up the door.
“I know he was,” Travis knelt down, “I’m Officer Travis Parker and you’re safe now.”
“You’re a cop too,” The Dog whined, “Are you going to try and kill me too?”
“No,” Travis extended a paw, “What’s your name?”
“Nathan,” The younger male whined, “What happens now? If I go to the police they’ll arrest me or worse.”
Travis sighed. The kid was right. There was no way that the police would believe him. Even if all of the evidence was stacked to prove McNeil’s guilt he was one of the old guard. There was no way any of these cops would drag their now dead partner’s name through the mud. If anything, they’d paint McNeil as a hero who had died trying to bring the “Killer” to justice.
“My apartment is just over there,” Travis pointed at the apartment building across the street, “Just go in the back door and come to the 10th floor, my apartment is the one closest to the back stairs. I’ll be waiting for you.”
Nathan shook his head.
“I can’t,” The Dog whined, “I have to get home to my brothers and sisters. They need this money. We need this money.”
Nathan shakily reached down and pulled on his bloodstained jeans. He nearly retched as he took the money off of the dash and stuffed it into his back pocket. The Cattle Dog started to walk as fast as he could until he was stopped by Travis’s firm paw.
“What good will you be to them in jail?” Travis frowned, “You need to come with me.”
“Why do you care?” Nathan trembled, “How do I know you aren’t just going to turn me over to the cops?”
Travis sighed and hung his head.
“Because I’m tired of doing the wrong thing,” Travis replied, “It seems like I’m making life harder for Furs like me.”
Nathan crossed his arms.
“Fine,” Nathan began, “I’ll go, but I won’t stay long.”
“Whatever Nathan,” The German Shepherd shook his head, “I’ll see you in a couple of minutes okay.”
Travis walked back down the alley and collected the few food items he could salvage from the now sopping brown grocery bag. He briskly walked home, his heart pounding the entire time. Was he really about to do this? His resolve only grew as he entered his apartment building and walked up the stairs. There was no way he was going to let this rapist fuck get remembered as a hero. As Travis walked up to his apartment, he heard loud music.
The Dog groaned as he opened the door. He was nearly knocked down by the force of WIlson Pickett’s I Found a True Love, blasting from his record player. His favorite lay, a 19 year old Black Lab named Victor, was dancing in front of it in his white underwear, loudly and badly singing along to the lyrics. Travis shut the door and stormed across the room to turn off the record player with a loud scratch.
“What the fuck are you doing?” Travis asked, “Do you want to get another noise complaint from the neighbor?”
Victor huffed and sat on the couch, his legs crossed.
“She’s got a stick up her butt,” Victor blew off the remark with his hands and crossed them again, “Besides, she’s old and it’s only 12:30.”
“Well, first off,” Travis rolled his eyes and set down the small fraction of groceries he managed to save, “Miss Patricks is a nurse who starts work in less than two hours. Second, she’s not that much older than me.”
“And you’re what 30?” Victor huffed, “That’s old baby. I’m sorry.”
Travis rubbed his eyes and sighed. Victor was annoying, as could be expected for any 19 year old, but he was a very good lay.
“I’m 28,” Travis grumbled, “What are you doing home? I thought you went to the movies.”
Victor shrugged.
“I did,” The Lab began, “I saw Midnight Cowboy again. It just got out. I only had time to listen to three or four 45s. Well, four and a half if you count the one you so rudely interrupted.”
Travis rolled his eyes. He had a very expansive record collection, one that Victor had picked apart and laid bare in the 4 months he had known the Dog. He wouldn’t date the younger male, but did pretty much everything a couple would. The teenager practically lived here when he wasn’t studying German at NYU.
“Look you’re going to have to leave Victor,” Travis began, “Something’s going on, and you have a very big mouth.”
Travis pointed at the door.
“Please,” Travis continued, “Get dressed and go to the bar or something. I’ll give you some money if you want.”
Victor scoffed.
“Fuck that,” Victor crossed his arms, “I turned down the guy hitting on me at the theater because I wanted to go home to your big dick. In fact, why aren’t we fucking right now?”
“Something else is going on,” Travis sighed and got some cheap scotch out of his liquor cabinet, “Something that you can’t tell anyone.”
As Travis said that, Nathan stumbled in the door. He was dizzy and probably had a concussion and a couple of broken bones. The Cattle Dog slammed the door behind him and hit the floor hard with a quiet whine. He rolled on to his back and gasped, some blood bubbling in his nostrils. Victor gasped and walked up to Nathan’s side.
“Oh my god I know him from the Plaza,” The Black Lab clapped his paws over his mouth, “What happened to him Travis? Did you call the cops?”
Travis shook his head and brought two glasses of scotch over to the Cattle Dog’s side.
“We can’t,” Travis sighed and took a quaff of the scotch, “Since you’re here, be helpful and get me the first aid stuff from the bathroom. We’ve gotta try and patch him up.”
Victor ran to the bathroom and returned with an armful of gauze, rubbing alcohol, and other assorted first aid equipment. He set it at the Cattle Dog’s side.
“Why can’t we take him to a hospital?” The Black Lab asked, “He looks like he’s been bleeding a lot.”
Travis winced as he began to clean the Cattle Dog’s wounds. Nathan cried out in pain, his fingers gripping the German Shepherd’s short gray carpet as best as he could. This was bad, Travis had no idea if he could actually help the poor Cattle Dog. If he messed this up, there was a good chance his wounds would scar or get infected.
“We just can’t,” Travis sighed, “A cop did this to him.”
“A cop?” Victor gasped, “Why?”
Travis shuddered at the memory of the human pinning him to the wall of the showers and raping him, over and over.
“Because this guy was in the wrong place at the wrong,” Travis frowned, “It’s okay though. That sick fuck got what was coming to him. Finally.”
Nathan gripped the German Shepherd’s paw.
“I need to go home,” Nathan whined, “It’s so late. My little brothers and sisters are going to be so worried about me.”
“Not now sweetie,” Victor took the Dog’s other paw, “Just let Travis fix you up first. Can I get you anything?”
Travis looked up at the Black Lab and smiled. He didn’t know that Victor could be so caring and kind. That made the younger Dog that much more attractive to him. The Cattle Dog whimpered in pain as German Shepherd started to work on one of his nastier cuts.
“Just stay close,” Nathan cried out again, “This really hurts.”
Victor laid down beside the Cattle Dog and gently rubbed his arm as Travis went to work. The German Shepherd worked as quickly and gently as possible, wanting to get the bloodied Dog out of his apartment without waking up the entire building. A half hour later, the cop finished his scotch and leaned back, satisfied with his handiwork.
“You need to clean all that blood off of you,” Travis sighed, “Do that, and I’ll take you home.”
Nathan sat up and nodded.
“Thank you so much,” The Cattle Dog hugged the cop tightly, “You’re my hero Travis. Please know that.”
Travis smiled and looked down as Nathan kissed him on the cheek and went to the shower. Victor sat up too with a smirk on his face.
“What?” Travis asked, “No one’s called me that before.”
“Okay,” Victor chuckled, “That’s not all you’re thinking about though.”
“Shut up,” Travis scoffed, “I’m thinking about how I can help him and his family out.”
“Whatever you say,” Victor kissed the Shepherd on the cheek, “I’m going to bed. If you want a blowjob when you get home just wake me up.”
Travis chuckled and watched as the Black Lab walked into the bedroom. He wanted a hell of a lot more than a blowjob from Victor.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
A short while later
“Is this the place,” Travis asked as he pulled in front of a broken down apartment building, “Looks abandoned.”
“Well it’s not,” Nathan crossed his arms across the tee-shirt he borrowed from Victor, “The landlord just doesn’t take care of it.”
“Okay,” The German Shepherd stopped his beat up Chrysler at the front door, “You know you can’t go back to what you were doing right? You can’t go back to having sex for money.”
Nathan whined and rubbed his arm.
“What else would I do?” Nathan asked, “I got to make money for rent some how.”
Travis sighed and nodded. He had an idea of course, one that would have been a very stupid idea if not for the money on the side he was making as a writer for magazines. He had always been good at writing, and had recently had a short story published in a local nudie mag.
“You can work for me,” Travis began, “Kinda like a maid. You’ll come over and clean, maybe cook. Your pay will be what you need for rent.”
“That won’t be enough,” Nathan whined, “My little brother is sick, and I have to keep all five of them fed.”
Travis sighed.
“Then I’ll pay you what you need okay,” Travis replied, “We’ll deal with it as it comes. But as of right now, consider yourself retired from that line of work.”
“Okay,” Nathan replied softly, “Can I ask why?”
“I’m sick of being the bad guy,” Travis looked over at the Cattle Dog, “If I was working, you know what we, what I would have had to do to you.”
Travis sighed.
“You’d be in jail,” Travis began, “And the evil man who raped me and god knows who else would be a martyr. That’s why I did it.”
Nathan put his paw on the larger German Shepherd’s and squeezed. When Travis looked up, the Cattle Dog leaned in and put a tender kiss on the cop’s lips.
“I don’t think you’re a bad guy,” Nathan lingered over Travis’s lips for a few moments, “You’re my hero.”
Travis looked down and smiled. He wanted to kiss the Cattle Dog back, but knew better than to try anything tonight. Maybe in the future, after the wounds, those visible and those not, healed.
“Come on,” Nathan planted another kiss, “Come inside. Meet my family.”
“I don’t think so,” Travis chuckled nervously and rubbed the back of his neck, “I don’t do the best with kids.”
“Nonsense,” The Cattle Dog scoffed, “They’ll love you. Martin, the youngest, has always wanted to be a cop. Well, that or a superhero.”
Travis chuckled. Nathan took that answer for a yes and led the German Shepherd by the paw into the apartment. Travis was nervous, he had never held paws with a man in public before, but no one saw. Nathan unlocked his door and allowed Travis to poke his head in. It was a one room apartment, and four of the Cattle Dog’s younger siblings slept on the floor. The other sibling, who appeared to be the youngest, was laying on the couch with his head elevated.
“Martin,” Nathan cooed and walked across the short and bristly carpet, “Why are you still awake?”
The young Dog coughed.
“The medicine keeps me awake,” Martin whined, “And I was worried about you, you’re never out this late when you’re working.”
Nathan knelt down and rubbed his younger brother’s paw tenderly.
“I’m here now,” Nathan looked over his shoulder, “Thanks to our new friend.”
Martin looked over Nathan’s shoulder and smiled. The cop cleared his throat and knelt down beside the pup’s bedside.
“I’m Travis,” The German Shepherd began, “I’m a police officer who just happened to get your older brother out of some trouble.”
“That’s good,” Martin smiled, “Are you really a cop? I didn’t think Furs could be.”
“I am,” Travis smiled and looked down at the Dog’s comic book, “The Avengers huh? I don’t think I’ve read that one yet. Is it any good?”
Martin nodded.
“I like them,” Martin replied, “Nathan always gets me the newest one when he goes to work.”
“He sounds like an awesome big brother,” Travis smiled and rustled the younger Dog’s hair, “You should go to sleep though. You can’t get better if you’re tired.”
Martin whined.
“He’s right,” Nathan replied, “Get some rest love.”
Martin sighed and rolled over, his back facing away from the two adults. Nathan led Travis back to the front door with a gentle arm on his shoulder. Quietly, Nathan stood on tip-toe to plant another, more insistent, kiss on the German Shepherd’s lips. Travis froze, his body acting of its own accord to kiss the Cattle Dog back.
“I’m sorry,” Nathan smiled shyly at Travis, “I don’t know how else to thank you.”
Travis blushed.
“That’s fine,” Travis replied, “You won’t have to do anything like that working for me. Don’t worry. I’m not like him.”
“I know you aren’t,” Nathan pulled away, “Do I start tomorrow?”
“Sure,” The German Shepherd began, “It’s my day off, so I’ll probably be there.”
“Great,” Nathan smiled, “I’ll see you tomorrow then.”
Travis nodded and left quickly, trying to hide his growing erection from the Cattle Dog. He made it to the stairwell and took a deep cleansing breath, trying to think of anything other than Nathan’s soft lips. It wasn’t working. He ran back to his car and drove home, quickly running up the stairs and into his apartment. Victor snored from the bedroom while Travis shed his clothes and jumped into bed with half of his erection poking from his sheath.
“Hey honey,” Victor stirred, “How about that blowjob?”
Travis chuckled.
“Don’t worry about that cutie,” Travis cuddled up to the Lab, keeping his hips away, “Just go to sleep.”
Victor reached down and gingerly touched the tip of the German Shepherd’s cock. With a chuckle Victor rolled the cop over onto his back.
“Bullshit,” Victor murred and moved his way down to Travis’s cock, “I’ve been thinking about this since you left.”
Travis moaned and closed his eyes as Victor’s hot tongue enveloped his cock, and suddenly, Travis wasn’t thinking about Nathan anymore.
