Thank you to everyone who followed along with the series. I'm sorry for having a late release, but I've been busy planning other stories. Watch for more stories in the future including: Xenomorphs, TWD, and Star Wars.
"Hello?! Anyone in there?" Nurse Joy was knocking hard on the door to our room. I wake up to find the curtains partially open, revealing the sunny sky of Goldenrod City, and Phoenix curled up on the other bed. She always looked peaceful when she slept.
"Coming," I say just loud enough enough to be heard. Groggily, I sit up and pull the blankets off me. After putting on a bath robe, I open the room's door.
"You're Will, correct?" Nurse Joy asks, obviously startled by my apparel. I nod. "Your Charizard's eggs hatched during the night. I didn't want to wake you, but..."
"They hatched?" I interrupt excitedly. Nurse Joy hands me a tablet. On the screen, I see three tiny Charmanders being fed mashed up Pecca berries by Clefairy.
"You and your Pokemon can see them if you'd like."
"Really? Ok, let me get changed real quick," I say. Going back inside the room, I find Phoenix awake and sitting on the bed.
"Hey," she says, yawning. "Who were you talking to? Everything alright?" As I get dressed into a red t-shirt and cargo shorts, I tell Phoenix about what Nurse Joy said. "Oh my god, I can't believe I'm a mother."
"And I can't believe I'm a father," I say, half jokingly. It's not like I expected some Charmander-human hybrid. Every scientist and Poke Professor from Kanto to Kalos has, in some variation, experimented with humans breeding with Pokemon, and there hasn't been a single attempt that didn't result in a baby Pokemon. Phoenix could tell what I was thinking.
"Don't be like that," she says, stroking my cheek with her wet slippery tongue. "You are as much a parent as I am." I hug her and we leave the room. Nurse Joy leads us downstairs to a room marked: NEWBORNS. Inside are rows of tiny white beds with baby Pokemon sleeping peacefully in them. One row has a Pichu and a Riolu, both labeled to the same trainer. Phoenix and I peer into the room through a one-way mirror. My eyes eventually land on three Charmanders laying next to each other. They're ours. I point them out to Phoenix and she starts crying.
"They're beautiful," she says through tears of joy.
"Are we able to go in and see them?" I ask Nurse Joy.
"Unfortunately, not right now," she shakes her head. "Being that they are still under five hours since hatching, we still have to run a few tests to make sure they're perfectly healthy. I can tell you, though, that your Charizard had two boys and a girl." I look at Phoenix, who's stopped crying and is wiping tears from her eyes. "Would you like to name them?" Luckily, I already know what to name them, as Phoenix and I have picked some for boy and girl. The Charmander on the far left is the boy and the other two are the girls.
"Yeah, um, I want the boy to be called Pyro, the girl in the middle will be called Katana, and the second girl Charmander will be Nova," I reply. Nurse Joy probably thinks that those are strange names for baby Pokemon, but those are the ones Phoenix and I decided on.
"Alright, well, I'll start the tests," Nurse Joy says. "Feel free to hang out in the Pokemon Center or explore the city. I'll let you know when they can be picked up."
It's been a few months since that day in Goldenrod. Katana, Pyro, and Nova have all evolved into strong Charmeleon. Phoenix and I still, occasionally, have sex, but after having two more litters, she spends most of her time caring for them. Not that I mind. In fact, having ten Charmanders/Charmeleons has really gained me some publicity. Wherever we go, people ask me how I managed to get so many, and I always reply with: "I'm just a good Pokemon breeder."
Anyways, if you're wondering what happened with getting into the Johto League let me get right to it. Now that we have a big family to care for, Phoenix and I agreed that it was for the best to find somewhere peaceful to settle down and raise the baby Pokemon. So, we decided to live in my grandparents' old cabin near Cherrygrove City. The area is quiet, beautiful, and has all kinds of berries that the Charmanders/Charmeleons love to eat. And, though we aren't continuing in the League, I still enjoy training Phoenix and the others and sometimes finding other trainers for them to beat...I mean...fight.
Well, that's the end of our story. Whoever finds this journal, I hope you liked what you read. Some people don't quite like those kind of Pokemon/trainer relationship, or at least, they don't understand them. But to each his own.
P.S. After you're finished reading this, could you please send it to a trainer named Ash Ketchum? He's my cousin from Kanto. I'm guessing he's somewhere in Sinnoh with two other trainers, Dawn and Brock. I know Ash would love to read this(he has a Charizard of his own)
