The hooligans and rednecks stringing up the Amargasaurus all turn to see who would yell in the middle of their lynching when out of the brush rush out Túzh?ní and Sairene, screaming and roaring with bloody fury. The pteranodon grabs one of the leaders, lifting him up into the air, sending a contingent of his followers after her with their torches and pitchforks. Meanwhile, the Princess swipes and strikes at waves of the Appalachians in a mass of screams and blood.

While the dinosaurs had the bulk of the would-be murderers at bay, Chris rushes up towards the makeshift gallows. One pot-bellied yokel screams and holds up a machete but doesn’t move to attack the girls. Chris sees his opportunity and strikes him right in the stomach.

The man doubles over, dropping his weapon. Chris follows up by kicking the back of his head, knocking him down.

With machete in hand, Chris rushes up towards the dangling dinosaur, watching for a way up to help her.

She stares with bulging eyes down at him, tears rolling down her cheeks. Her mouth is open in a silent scream as her naked body twitches and jerks.

“Hold on,” he calls out, “I just got to get to the truck and-”

With a spasm and a thunderous rip, the Amargasaurus defecates all over the ground by his feet. Piss streams down her leg as her eyes roll back. He sees that for a moment and immediately runs forward, leaping into the air, willing all of his strength into one swing.

Maybe it was partially because of his adrenaline. Perhaps it was because of how sharp that hillbilly kept the knife, maybe it was dumb fucking luck, but the machete chopped clean through that rope with a single slash.

Chris tumbles forward, dropping the weapon on the ground with a dull thud.

The truck launches forward, crashing straight into the trunk of a massive tree, sparking and smoking with no sound coming from its driver.

The amargasaurus collapses to the ground, landing in her own mess, gasping for desperate breaths, her mouth turned to a stunned smile up towards her savior.

“Chris… Chris…”

Chris stirs, pushing himself up, rubbing his shoulders. “Damn… I need to learn to roll if I’m gonna keep this up, hey, Túzh?ní what’s… oh crap!”

Túzh?ní’s mouth and arms are coated in blood, her nostrils flared. She tilts her neck and then says. “Don’t worry about me, Chris. This is the blood of my enemies. Or, are you enamored by the skill of your lover and wish to take me while I am still bathed in the spoils of my battle?”

“N… not right now. The amargasaurus… how is she?”

“She’ll be fine,” Sairene says, perching on one of the trucks left behind by the slain enemies. Next to her is the amargasaurus, sitting against the vehicle, rubbing her neck. “Ah… by the gods…” she groans, “That was the closest to death than even the roughest of crashes.”

Sairene motions between Chris and the pilot. “Peony, this is Chris. He defeated Túzh?ní in ritual combat and has claimed both myself and the Princess as his own.”

“That so…?” the pilot says, snorting. “Well, you don’t have to do anything like that to have me, Chris,” she says, pushing herself to stand up. “You saved my life. I am indebted to you.”

Túzh?ní steps forward, “where’s the ship? I need access to imperial communications!”

“Ye, yes, your highness!” Peony says, giving Túzh?ní a firm salute. “Its right this way!”

When they pass over the hill, they soon find themselves looking over a canyon. Chris wraps his arms around himself, finally realizing just how cold he is up this far in the mountains. “So, uh, where’s the ship?” he asks, his eyes going from the rocky cliff off towards the distance.

His heart sinks when he sees the plumes of black smoke off in the distance. He falls to his knees, his arms weakening, his jaw going slack. “W… what…”

Sairene sighs, holding her hand over her eyes. “Alas, that appears to be one of the larger human settlements in the area.”

A loud rumble fills the entire area, shaking the ground and the sky at once. Chris stares upwards, only to see the massive craft lower down from the sky. It’s like some kind of core with spikes shooting out from all different sides, floating free and rigidly attached. From the core shoot out multiple protrusions, flying through the sky in numerous directions.

“A secondary attack,” Peony says. “We will do better to hide on the ship than stay out here.” She presses her fingers to her lips and blows, letting out a high-pitched whistle.

The gravel below rumbles and crumbles. Out from within is a smaller ship very similar to the massive wiry thing, but much smaller. The core opens with no discernible doorway, making it look like some kind of sci-fi house.

Túzh?ní is the first to enter, jumping from the cliff down into the ship below. Chris crawls to the edge, watching as Peony follows suit.

Sairene grabs her master by the shoulders and flies him down, letting him get swallowed up by the interior’s darkness.

A moment later, the lights flicker on, showing off a roomy command room. Túzh?ní stands at the center, surrounded by monitors. “Better than some cabin, isn’t it, Chris? With this, we should be able to blend in with the invasion force.”

Peony looks up from the pilot’s seat “coordinates inputted, Your Highness. Ready to go when you are.”

She snorts. “Maybe we should wait and have Chris ready for his final battle. Peony… you owe him one. Why don’t you help him train up? That way, you two can be seed sisters with Sairene and I.”

Peony coughs, tapping her fingers together. “Uh… a-alright, your highness… I’ll try…”

The ship disappears into the cliffside once again, but from the forest emerges the smiling face of the raptor assassin, tapping her toe and chuckling. “Oooh, there you are….”
