The Prince and the Rat
The prince of a human kingdom seeks peace with the rat king and his kind. He is set on being professional and acting as his family would expect him to act, but of course, how could he expect to fall in love?
A castle by the mountain stood with gates held open in honor of a special guest. The city just outside of the castle buzzed with the whispers and mentions of a prince from a hostile kingdom who came to discuss peace and opportunities for better things between human and rodent beast-kind. There were high hopes of trade routes opening and the roads becoming safe to travel even for those without a great amount of coin to hire bodyguards. It was with this great hope of peace that the city welcomed the royal guest with a certain fervor. Markets among the city were in full bloom with the best produce and product available on display and the streets were cleaned as best as the people could manage. Guards stood by in the alleys and all around watching for any signs of danger as the prince from the kingdom of humans made his way through the rodent city guarded only by a small group of knights from the castle who had come to escort him. The human himself was a short male wearing a cloak of rich purple with fair brown hair that flowed down to his back braided in several places. His eyes were the color of soft honey drops and his skin was a rich almond. Each knight was much taller than the human even in their hunched over stances, but it was to be expected. Humans were often times shorter than beast-kind and it was in part because of that why the people of the city marveled at such bravery. All spoke among themselves in hushed tones of the prince’s confident stride, of his big smile and kind words for passers-by. He seemed genuine in his desire to build peace with the people of the kingdom and they could feel it in every word and action he took while under foreign soil. Many wondered just what type of peace would be struck between their kingdoms or if it would happen at all. They could see that the prince carried himself as one normally of royalty would and they wondered if that wouldn’t clash with their fair king who was a bit...Eccentric. Hopefully the prince could hold his drink.
The massive gates of the castle were held open like arms outstretched to embrace the knights and their charge. There were servants and guards waiting within the castle gates standing on either side and bowing to show the human that they were more than happy to see him. It was a welcome befitting royalty with bards and dancers along the way playing their harps and flutes and more.
A glow touched the prince’s eyes along with visible awe and glee as the rodents gathered around him with instruments and offerings of flower and fruit. He plucked here and there but didn’t take anything too large from any of the baskets and marveled at the beauty of the courtyard. Finely cut grass lined each side of a stone path that led to the main doors of the castle. Flowers with bright red petals bloomed across the courtyard in wild bushes that carried a scent that even his nose could catch on the wind. It smelled of soft spices and honey. Jera had not expected such a warm welcome and certainly had not expected the servants to come out here to greet him and offer tribute.
There had been a great deal of fanfare from his own kingdom when he had left, but it had been more solemn, more serious and certainly less festive. Both his father and mother had told him to do a good job, to represent their entire species and he had accepted with the intent to be as serious and as dignified as possible, but how could he possibly keep a regal appearance with all of this!?
Jera had been showered with attention from the moment he stepped into the city and most of it had been a sort of quiet and curious attention until they realized that he had come here in peace. There had been youth coming up to him asking him of his home and there had been both men and women coming there with remarks that made his cheeks flare and even here he found himself in no shortage of suitors. He had never thought what it might be like to bed with someone of beast-kind, but he found it more and more appealing as skirts passed him and were lifted by tails that were most certainly not acting on their own accord. Perhaps at his home, it might have been considered rude or even criminal, but here the people seemed to be okay with the thought flirting with royalty, although, perhaps it was simply that he was a foreigner and looked interesting enough to toy with. Regardless, he laughed and enjoyed the atmosphere even as he continued to walk with the knights around him who said not a word.
Once they were through the great doors of the castle, the festivities slowed down just enough for him to catch his breath and regain his composure. Here among stone hallways and tapestry-lined walls he found himself slipping into the same tight lined expression that he carried at home when he was required to be royal, to be powerful. Here he returned to being Jera D’Streya, crown prince of the human Kingdom of Streya. Here he felt he must be that person because if not then he would fail his family, and it was with that solemn thought that he walked with firm steps and kept his shoulders squared.
Steps echoed through the halls as he was led to his destination in the castle. They stopped before grand doors where two knights moved to either side to take hold of the handles. He took his place between them and stood there bracing for the doors to be opened. What would he say to open with? How would he address the King of another nation? There were so many thoughts running through his mind that only the sound of the doors rumbling open brought him back to reality where his eyes witnessed what the rat king had to offer.
A long table had either been set or had always been there in the middle of a large hall with tapestries on both walls with coats of arms and other designs. At the far end of the table sat a large rat with black fur and bright purple eyes with his fangs flashed in a grin. He held a goblet in one paw and the other was firmly set on the table as someone by his side spoke. Perhaps it had been a joke or some sort of merry story because the guests at the table erupted in laughter. At the table, there were knights sitting there with mugs full of frothing ale, there were bards there too playing music but also sitting at the table themselves perhaps as a show of courtesy to them. There were mice and rats that looked of noble birth and those that looked like common workers and artisans. When the doors opened fully, their ears pricked up and silence suddenly fell over the room. Jera stepped forward and he noticed with a small shiver moving down his spine that he hoped none could see, that the King was looking at them with those sharp violet eyes. The grin on the King’s face only seemed to grow as he set down his goblet and got up from his seat.
A voice like thunder rolled through the hall from the King’s mouth, “Welcome esteemed guest of our finest enemy. If I am correct, you are Jera D’Streya, a beautiful sight to behold not only for your looks but for I hear from your mother and father’s letter that you bring word of peace and of fellowship. Is this true?”
How could he match such a voice? Such a presence? The compliment, the atmosphere, it all left him feeling rather winded, but still, he managed a response as he began to take his first steps into the hall and toward the table, “I am indeed Jera, and you must be Kalam Ceres. I have come bringing peace and humbly ask to enjoy whatever hospitality you may bring.”
His own voice sounded like a gentle flute compared to the booming song of the King’s voice and for a moment he was frightened that no one would take him seriously. The King then clapped his paws together once and laughed, “Whatever hospitality I might bring?! This! This is for you of course! Come and sit with us, dine and wine and we will talk here. If you need the other guests gone then we will talk at another time, but now that formality has been met, throw off your royal garb for a moment and laugh with me.” The rat then grabbed hold of his goblet and raised it on high, “And drink! For even if we are enemies, I hold a great deal of respect for your kingdom and as a liaison of peace that respect is now friendship.”
The prince felt taken aback by this, but Jera knew it would be more than rude to insist on getting down to business so quickly, and well, he kind of wanted to enjoy the festivities. Slowly, the hard line on his face turned curved up into a smile he let his shoulders relax as he approached the table. A mug was offered with a liquid more amber than his own eyes and then a bottle was brandished a few times of wine just to make sure that he wouldn’t prefer that over the ale. Cuts of meat and berries were offered even before he sat down and there was certainly no doubt that every single person at this table was red beneath the fur with alcohol. Despite his status in life, he laughed and took his place next to the king with mug in hand and took a deep drink of what was in his mug. It was a sour mix with just a hint of spice that burned down his tongue and throat.
When he set down his mug the King leaned in, “So, what words do you have for me friend?”
Jera mulled over the words of his parents, the words of his court and the desires of his people and he shut his eyes. When he opened them he leaned back in his seat and spoke plainly, “Peace. I have words of peace and a few papers in my pack from several trading guilds that wish to establish routes between our kingdoms to encourage commerce not only between our kingdoms, but to encourage trade for other places as well. Along with this, desires of established roads and the sort.”
The King nodded thoughtfully and looked down at the table the grin on his face fading to a hard line, “Hmm...So it would seem to me that there is nothing but good news in the future...I expected perhaps, desire of reparations or some sort of stipend from us to show that we mean well, but instead there is only good faith?”
A feeling quite like dread crept into his stomach as he remembered the other documents inside of his pack. He had caught a sense of what type of person the King in just these few moments and he did not feel like lying or obscuring the truth only to let him read for himself. No, there would only be full honesty, even among their guests.
“I’m afraid not.” The jubilee ceased and he could feel every eye in the room on his shoulders and every ear pricked toward him, and though he found his resolve shaking, he still spoke, “Mother and father desire land back, land that you have taken.” He could see the glint of a reply in the King’s eyes and in the way that he slowly took his paw off of the goblet, but Jera continued, “But I have argued that it was land originally taken from yours. There is only one contested area that belonged to us originally and so I have amended my parents' words. You should read them while I am here and we may draft something that will please both sides.”
Kalam’s eyes were on his own. He could feel that powerful gaze piercing through him as if examining every facet of his being, but he did not budge or show any sign of fear. The King’s smile slowly returned and he leaned in close to mutter, “We’ll find something that will satisfy us both I am certain.” He then pulled back and called out, “Both of our kingdoms will be satisfied with whatever it is we come up with, I am certain...But such talk does not befit the table, nor does it befit celebration. Drink! Feast! And enjoy!”
A blaze ran across Jera’s cheeks as the noise of the festivities resumed and drowned out whatever response he might have had to those first words. He turned his attention to the plate before him and his drink. Those first words the King had said so silently to him had sounded like they hadn’t been about their respective kingdoms, but about them both as individuals. He could only wonder what the King had meant with those words and with that sort of tone. There had been something beneath the words, a sort of hunger that he felt crawling up his spine and he firmly ignored it as he remembered that he needed to remain as a representative of his kingdom. A glance at the King and immediately he had to look away again as the rat gave him a wink and a sly smirk. He firmly ignored it and decided to drown himself in his mug instead.
Distraction came in the form of the entertainment around him. There were people, both common and highborn, who asked him of his home and asked if their food and drink compared to his own. He had to admit with a smile that their ale was much more potent and he had never tried it spiced before and gave them that their roast was something delicious, but still, he talked of his home and his love for the things back there as anyone would speak of their own home. As time passed, his mug was topped up and up again and he found himself growing tired and just a bit dizzy. His eyesight was growing foggy and he was giggling more than usual and even still he took drink after drink and stayed at the table. A touch at his arm caught his attention and he looked to see that the King’s claws wrapped around his arm. He blinked and even in his drunken haze, he found himself growing warmer.
“Do you need an escort to your chambers?”
Jera cleared his throat and cursed the fact that he was sobering up, even if just a bit, “Why ah...Perhaps that would be nice. It has been a long trip.”
The King stood from his seat and excused himself from the table along with Jera. He stood with feeling himself wobble a little from the alcohol still touching his senses, but Kalam was there to catch him. Face first with the King’s chest, Jera calmly pulled away and mumbled an apology, but Kalam ignored it and dragged him away. Through the back and through halls he was led, his eyes on the King’s back. He didn’t know if it was proper or not for the King to be holding onto his arm, but he allowed it because his balance wasn’t the best at the moment.
Their trip soon ended at a door that the King opened with little ceremony as if he were eager to get inside of the room. He let go of Jera’s arm and stepped through letting the prince follow soon after. Jera blinked as he stepped into a room lined with a fine rug with a large bed at the center. There were swords hung on the wall and a bookshelf at the other.
Absently, he commented, “A room befitting royalty.”
The King’s voice replied, “That’s because it is mine.”
Jera coughed, “Ah! I see! So, did you need to pick up something while we are here then?”
His eyes were looking elsewhere when he felt his chin tugged forward and pulled up. Their gazes met with a spark growing between them that he tried to push down through his inebriated state. The King inched closer and tried his hardest to resist with his words at the very least, “What of your wife?”
“Never had one.”
Again he tried as the air slowly closed between them, “And...Isn’t this criminal? We’re from two different nations, two different species, I doubt my pare—”
The lightest peck of mouth on mouth brought him to silence. Jera’s eyes were wide and he shook as he felt his lips tingle from that barest of kisses. Professional. Royal. He had to remind himself to be regal and strong at all times. He couldn’t just let himself melt to this powerful man and allow himself to break when he had such important things to do. Jera was here as the representative of his kingdom, and yet, he suddenly found his mouth trailing against the rat’s again of his own accord. Their lips met for a gentle kiss before he felt claws at the back of his head drag him closer to deepen the kiss. Mouth’s parted and tongues twisted and danced as he felt his heart bend his body to doing what he desired. Peace could still be established, no one had to know about his shame; no one but himself and the King.
Jera tried to calm his body as their kiss continued to deepen between them. Further and further the kiss went until they both needed to pull away to take a breath. At this point, he could see the rise and fall of the other’s chest and when he looked down he saw firm bulge waiting for him. Again he reminded himself that he was supposed to be acting regal, but instead, he planted nervous digits on that thick bulge and looked up at the rat King. Kalam quietly gripped onto his shoulders and stepped back to lead him deeper into the room, letting the door close. This was Jera’s last chance to stop all of this, his last chance to redeem himself, but his hands were already moving to strip his own clothes eagerly from his body.
By the time he had finished clumsily getting out of his clothes, the rat had already gotten out of his own and sat on the bed with legs spread to present his erect cock. Jera stood there gawking like a fool who had never seen another male’s genitals, but then again he had never seen a beast-kind’s cock before. A thick red shaft with a tapered tip begged for his attention with little twitches. Beneath the shaft was a heavy set of balls. Both looked larger than anything he had seen on a human. The sound of the King chuckling brought him out of his foolishness and he looked up to see Kalam look at him with a smug smirk and a raised brow.
“Something to your liking prince?”
Jera resisted the urge to make some sort of witty remark, or rather, he had no witty remark to give. He walked toward the rat with his own meager cock growing to the sight of the other nude and sitting on the bed presenting toward him. Carefully, he took hold of that cock in both of his hands and looked up and into the eyes of the King. That quirked brow and smirk remained along with the aura of smugness that radiated from the rat. Jera frowned and squeezed softly at the shaft in his hands before leaning to give his retort in the form of a passionate kiss. He clambered up onto the lap of the King and Kalam accepted him with open arms. Claws grazed against his back as those strong arms coiled around his body to receive Jera. He slid his own hands from the King’s cock to embrace the rat instead. Their tongues met again and he could feel the shaft pressing between his rear cheeks as Kalam thrust his hips to bounce Jera in has lap lightly. His own hips moved with a certain hunger that shook his body and made his mind grow fuzzy with lust in addition to the alcohol still flowing through his blood.
When their lips finally pulled apart the King muttered, “Didn’t think it would be so easy.”
Jera lied, “Drink is a powerful motivator.”
Not being able to leave Jera with even that bit of an excuse, the King chuckled, “Then why were you walking just fine there? Certainly tipsy...But you can’t be drunk.”
Jera felt his cheeks burn and closed his eyes as he pressed his face to the other’s chest, “Do you have anything to make this easier? I uh...I’ve never been with a beast before.”
Kalam’s arms slid from his back and he was slowly guided from the rat’s lap to the bed where he sat there watching as the King moved to a dresser to retrieve a small glass vial. It glinted in the oil lamp’s light and he could see a viscous fluid inside of it. He shuddered as the King popped the cork from the bottle and approached him with that same smug smirk, but behind those purple eyes he could see and feel the hunger pouring off of him.
The prince’s back met the bed as he watched the rat move. Without thinking, his legs spread letting Kalam slip between them. Digits wet with the contents of the bottle moved underneath his balls to trail down to his puckered hole where they pressed inside and began spreading apart. Jera’s lips spread apart as he let out a soft pleasure noise. Those firm digits pushed deeper and deeper to spread that cool substance over every inch. He gasped and writhed, his toes curling in response to the feeling of a third digit pressing inside. Perhaps the King thought that Jera was prepared, or perhaps he had simply grown impatient, but either way, Kalam spread the rest of the oil onto his cock and threw the vial against the wall. The shatter of glass punctuated the rat’s movements as he placed the tip of that massive thing against Jera’s rear.
Excitement and dread mixed in equal amounts as he watched the King press and push it against his rear. It struggled to fit and he felt his breath quickening by every second until finally, the tip managed to get inside. In a show of lust, the King buried half of his cock inside of Jera’s rear causing the human to let out a shrill squeak. Jera’s cheeks were now burning like wildfire and his eyes were fluttering as he tried to come to grips with the feeling of that throbbing member inside of his rear. There were bits of pain here and there along with the pleasure, but such a thing had been expected when he had taken such a large cock. The pain grew as the King began to move again, but as that thick thing slid deeper inside of his rear, the rat moved to capture the human’s mouth with his own.
Jera’s eyes half-shut as he watched through dreamy eyes as the King kissed him. He watched as the King moved to plow that fat shaft inside of his rear. The affection given from the kiss was enough to help him ignore the pain and focus on the pleasure. Claws grazed his back and he could feel the skin breaking, but he was lost in the moment. Kalam’s thrusts were hard enough to jolt Jera forward and his own arms coiled around the rat to hold him there tight while he received every single thrust with love. Even through the impassioned kiss, his muffled moans echoed against the walls. His own cock twitched and throbbed with every thrust and the deeper the rat went and he could feel embarrassment building as he felt his orgasm building ever so close from simply being penetrated.
It wasn’t long before his own orgasm was spent against his own stomach between them and for a moment he feared that the King would taunt him, but instead their kiss deepened and the King doubled his pace. It felt almost like as soon as it had started, it had ended. Thick cum poured inside of his rear warming him to the core and his back arched in response. He felt so tired, and yet so needy for more of that love. When the King pulled his mouth away he felt his own mind slipping toward slumber. A soft paw against his cheek eased his desire and the King suddenly leaned close to whisper to his ear, “Marry me, princess.”
Jera fell asleep with those words on his mind, in his dreams, but only for a few moments before darkness took him entirely. When he woke, it was with a start. He sat up and looked around wondering where he was at first before he remembered what had happened. There wasn’t a window so he couldn’t tell how long he had been out. A slight headache reminded him that he had been drinking, and when he looked down he found that he had been covered gingerly with the covers of the bed and tucked in. Movement at his side caused him to jerk away momentarily until he felt strong arms around his hips. When he looked, it was the rat King lying there by him with nose nuzzled against his side. He remembered those words from before, from when they had fucked, and he wondered if those were true? Marry him? How could that ever be possible?
Perhaps...That would just be part of the deal.
