Chapter 153 - One More Taste...

Sitting in the living room together, the group began working on the pies Chris had stored in the fridge as they went over plans for the coming day. While for the most part Serenity was disinterested, Rose paid attention while both he and Alicia went over the basics of how they'd behave, with the snake doing so in more of a lecturing manner that particularly annoyed Serenity from her holier-than-though attitude. "I know it's not really our thing to take part in something like this, but I do think it's for the best." Chris point out. "Indeed... If the world has truly begun considering him a threat, we should do what's needed to ease what fears may exist." Alicia agreed. "I didn't really like hearing people were worried about having him around either... He does a lot of good for everyone." Rose sulked, remembering how Holly revealed others saw Chris as a benefit and a detriment to being around. "I admit some of the stuff I've done might not have been handled the best, but..." he replied, scratching his cheek while thinking about how he'd broke into the prison back in Millennium City and how he'd used torture on the men from the Platinum Star company on the Guardian ship. "You do what need to be done. Not your fault humans suck at doing right thing... Not your fault they suck at most things. You do things because they not do anything." Serenity shrugged while taking a bite of pie. "P-Please don't say that kind of stuff anymore in front of others... Especially police and all." Chris smiled nervously. "I not, I not... No worry." Serenity waved. "It a compliment for you." she point out. "I know... Appreciate it, but still. We shouldn't ruffle feathers more than we have." Chris affirmed, getting an "If say so." response from the Pokemon.

"You should be paying attention the most. Lets not forget how that Holly woman point you out as a major issue revolving our being here. On top of their reservations about having him around, your history doesn't seem to be helping matters." Alicia lectured, pointing at Serenity with her tail making the Pokemon scowl. "I not have to do things I do if humans not so stupid. If they know place and show respect, I not have to remind where they stand so much." Serenity affirmed. "Humans think they so big, so important... Only act brave when have weapon. That why I not stand humans you call police. They fast to wave gun around and talk big talk... Point things before knowing what going on. I get sick of them pointing guns at us, at Chris, it reaching point I not take anymore." she warned before enjoying another bite of pie. "Going to Yule House place like going in big nest of enemy. I not like at all... Holly human not big deal I guess, but other humans there rub wrong way, like they waiting to do something." she scowled. "It's... More like they're waiting for whoever's there to do something." Chris tried to explain. "I just saying. They pull something, I not take it." Serenity cautioned. "P-Please don't be that way, we really gotta be careful with this." Chris replied nervously. "Nobody's gonna do anything to anyone. We're just going to talk to the media and stuff. If we play our cards right, with any luck we won't have to worry about police and all being on our case anymore. It's a big chance to finally have some added peace in our lives." he reminded. "I dunno... Feeling safer around you might just make some people follow you even more..." Rose chimed in, pointing out the reporters that had been following them since Millennium.

With the group collectively letting out an "oh yeah..." response to the rabbits words, Chris sighed and rubbed his head. "Well... I'd rather have people around us feeling safe rather than wary anyways... That attack on the girl kinda helped us already in a way I think. After it happened it seemed like some folks already looked at me in a different way." he point out. "Well... Perhaps, until you suddenly man-handled a guy in the streets out of nowhere." Alicia smirked, causing him to jolt and scowl. "I couldn't help that, okay...?" he grumbled, the snake lowering her head and rubbing her cheek against his with an "I know" response before giggling. "Sometimes it bodes well for a lady to travel with a barbarian." she added teasingly. "I-I'm not like that! The guy was a punk!" Chris argued, his behavior only making Alicia giggle more. "Oy... I'm only human..." he sighed. "Well, we just gotta remind everyone that." Rose point out with a smile. "Not sure why it so important to be human... You not like others. You have better attitude, act better, do better things. Plus, you have power. Lots of it. Why go out of way to make it seem like all that not exist? Why act like it all nothing? You should rub in faces." Serenity chimed in. "Just not how I was raised. Besides, personally I don't care about having powers. Have you ever seen me use them besides for important stuff for the most part? I might toy around now and then and experiment with what I can do, but I don't just show it off for the heck of it, and definitely not to make myself seem above anyone." Chris reminded. "I'm glad I can do the things I can do, but that doesn't mean people should be afraid of me, nor' does it mean I should use it to force them to respect me... I wanna earn that the right way." he insisted.

Letting out a sigh, Serenity shook her head while Rose and Alicia smiled and nodded. "Sometimes your humility can be just a tad inspiring I suppose." the snake replied. "That's one of the things I like most." Rose added with a giggle of her own. "Bah... Just make things take longer, make more complicated." Serenity waved. "Er... Thanks? I think..." Chris laughed nervously, slight sweat showing. "Not worry... Guess it why I love you too... It be nice if you not be patient more though. I like when get to point, get thing done, like you do with girl and human you stand up to for snake." Serenity praised. "You're a little late for that compliment." Alicia smirked, referring to her previous barbarian comment already complimenting his gung-ho behavior making the Pokemon scowl. "Why you have to start getting on nerves again so soon?" Serenity asked. "Well, being friendly disturbed you. Someone needs to make up her mind." Alicia reminded, causing her rival to pause as she thought over the situation, turning away with a "good point" remark while getting another piece of the pie before them. "You know... I don't mind you two being frien...!!" Chris tried to chime in with his hand up, only for both to interrupt him with a "not happening!" response, affirming their positions toward one another as he shrank between them. "Nice while it lasted..." he sulked. Reaching over, Rose pat him on the back with a "there there" to encourage him, assuring they were still family even if the two were rivals, a comment neither objected to as Serenity and Alicia glanced at one another before turning their attention away. "Snake fight good, not mean she good person." Serenity waved. "The same to you, though I do think you're far worse than I, the brute that you are." Alicia scoffed.

Looking at the two, Chris showed a worn smile, feeling some things would never change. Though in his mind, he thought it for the best as the two were most comfortable with each other when they could be honest with one another, even if it was for the sake of riling themselves up as he helped himself to his own piece of pie, offering Rose one in the process. "You know... The way you two always rile each other up, maybe that's kind of its own form of training for you two." Chris suddenly point out, causing the girls to look at him curiously. "When you think about it, you girls probably wind up with a lot of pent up feelings and energy from the way you're always going back and forth at one another... Do you think it was that pent up emotion and power that helped you release that last attack in the battle?" he asked, referring to the way their abilities combined into the hurricane of retaliation against their rivals. "When you think about it, you girls really let everything out... Bet it felt like a big relief. You really sent everyone flying." he chuckled as the two thought it over and looked at one another. "So... In other words..." Alicia replied. "That mean we should fight more?" Serenity asked, causing Chris to jolt and respond with a quick and panicked "No!!" of hesitation. "You say it help us make big attack." Serenity reminded. "B-But it wasn't to make you...!!" he tried to explain. "She's right... If our quarrels build us up for battles like that, it would make sense." Alicia smirked, pointing out she didn't mind while staring at Serenity, the Pokemon doing the same in response with a smirk of her own. "I-I didn't mean it like that!!" Chris insisted while Rose sighed and shook her head. "Set yourself up for that one..." she point out with a shrug.

Trying to explain himself to the two, Rose merely sat nibbling away at the pie he'd given her as Serenity and Alicia teased him for the remarks, poking at his flustered state until finally assuring him they wouldn't cause trouble, allowing Chris to sit with a relieved sigh while mentioning how he needed to watch how he worded things better. Once they had finished their desserts, the group continued going over their goals and behaviors for the following day. Taking out his Pokedex, images and videos were brought up showing how past Mayor's of the city behaved in front of people, as well as their wives which Chris point out. In one video, they listened as one of the past Mayor's gave a speech, causing Alicia to point it out as something he should keep in mind himself. "Not sure if I'm cut out for that kind of stuff... I mean, I'm just answering questions... I shouldn't give winded responses, should I?" he asked. "Depends on the questions... Do you want to be thorough or leave them with scarce basics? It depends on the example you want to make of yourself." Alicia explained. "This getting boring... All they doing is standing, talking... That it?" Serenity asked. "Well, pretty much... We're basically just gonna try and look good for folks. Like we're nothing to be afraid of." Chris nodded as the Pokemon stood with a scowl. "I not sure how feel about acting like I like humans... Not like being at Yule House place either... This annoying." she affirmed. "It's only for one day... Do it for me?" Chris asked with a nervous smile, the Pokemon looking down at him and letting out a sigh. "If humans not afraid of me, they think it okay to get close to you... Keeping them away only thing that make me feel safe around them" she reminded.

"I know, I know..." Chris nodded. "He's not asking the impossible. Just behave and act proper for one day. Is that so unreasonable?" Alicia scowled. "Not need you to add input." Serenity scowled back. "I not say I not do it. I just say I not like idea of humans not being afraid, not like them getting closer... I know it maybe help you but just make me nervous. That all..." she explained. Looking at her for a moment, Chris returned his attention to his device, finding an image of a Mayor surrounded by three guards. "...That's why I'm not nervous." he replied, causing the wary Pokemon to raise an eyebrow. "No matter what, I've got you three to help me out and look after me... That's why I'm not concerned about who's close to me and who isn't. I always turn out fine with you around so there's no reason for me to worry. Plus, even when I'm on my own I've proven I can manage." Chris reminded with a smirk. "Those guards at the Yule House and you girls have a lot more in common than even you think Serenity, you both take on the same task. They protect the Mayor, and you girls protect me." he nodded. "And just like them, some of you like to look after me so much you suffocate me and take it to extremes..." he scowled, causing Serenity to do the same. "I not help it! I worry!" she insisted. "Relax, it's not like I don't understand." Chris assured. "I'm just saying you and those people have stuff in common. They feel the same about the Mayor as you girls feel about me. Try to think of it that way... Don't you suppose it'd make being there easier for you?" he asked. "They... Feel the same...?" Rose chimed in. "Yeah... Basically." Chris nodded. "They feel EXACTLY the same?" Alicia added. "I dunno... Sure?" Chris repeat.

Looking at one another, Alicia and Rose snickered leaving Chris confused between the two, Serenity in the same position as she raised an eyebrow. "What funny?" she asked. "Oh... Nothing." Rose waved. "One must say you humans do love to get around." Alicia point out, causing Chris to blink before asking "seriously...?" as he grasped their joke. "You girls are getting worse than me." he point out. "Oh no, I don't think that's possible." Alicia affirmed with a wave of her tail, brushing off his remark. "That's a LOT of males to deal with." Rose giggled playfully, getting a groan out of Chris in response. "Now the image is in my head... Thanks a lot." he replied. "Well, nobody told you to picture it. Pervert." Alicia grinned. "It's a subconscious thing!! I can't help it!!" he argued. Looking at the group, Serenity interrupted with an "You all stupid..." remark, shaking her head. "What? You're too good to have a laugh all of a sudden?" Alicia scowled. "We're just teasing a little. You're guilty of doing it to him as much as us." Rose grinned. "More-so, really." the snake reminded. "True... She is the clingy one..." Rose nodded. "I not clingy!!" Serenity snapped as Chris looked at the group and sighed. "Back to normal, huh?" he thought to himself with a smirk. "You girls are something else." he chuckled, causing them to pause. "It's nice though... You know? How we get back into the normal swing of things... After everything that happened, don't you think it says a lot about all of you considering how well you've adjusted back to the norm?" he asked, making the group look at one another. "Talking and laughing, maybe bickering a little... Kinda makes everything feel cozy, right with the world and all... Don't you think?" he smiled.

Looking at Alicia for a moment, Chris turned his attention to Serenity, the Pokemon blinking at him with a "what up?" remark. "...Thanks again for what you did." he nodded. "Helping out with the fight, and everything else... I wouldn't be able to keep us together without you girls doing your part to support and protect one another too. Makes a fella feel proud knowing even you two have each others backs when it matters!" he grinned, giving Serenity a thumbs up. Blushing slightly from the praise, the Pokemon glanced at Alicia with a scowl before crossing her arms. "I-I just help because want to fight. Not care about stupid snake. Human get on nerves is all." Serenity affirmed. "Indeed... If nothing else she merely got in my way. Did you see how I had to babysit her? A shame that last attack didn't send HER flying too." Alicia replied with her nose up. "I think same thing. Too bad snake not fly off and splat on pyramid like bug on window. That be funny." Serenity smirked. "Well, considering your constant stench it's a shame I couldn't have sent you flying into the fountain for a good bath." Alicia mocked. "Say you! What about how bad you smell just while ago?!" Serenity reminded, making the snake flush. "D-Don't be crude!!" she snapped. "C-Can we not use personal stuff in your fighting...?" Chris asked with a nervous smile, raising his hand with slight sweat showing and a blush out of his own embarrassment. "You kinda started it." Rose point out, patting him on the back. "A-Anyways, point is I appreciate you girls helping look out for one another, that's all. Now you gotta help and work together tomorrow, that's the main point." Chris explained. "Fret not, I'll keep the beast in check." Alicia assured.

"Ha! I make sure stupid snake not be stupid." Serenity replied. "When will you expand your vocabulary...?" Alicia scowled. "My vocabuberry fine! Not make fun of!" the Pokemon argued. "U-Uh... It's... VocabuLARY, Serenity..." Chris point out, correcting her mispronunciation causing her to cross her arms. "You taking snake side...?" she asked. "N-No! Just trying to explain is all!" he assured, waving his hands. "Intellectuals ALWAYS stick together." Alicia smirked, adding "isn't that right?" before rubbing her cheek on Chris's and sticking her tongue out at her rival, leaving Serenity twitching an eye. "S-Seriously, it's not about sides." he tried to insist. "Come on girls, I'm trying to give some praises here. Don't make a storm out of it." he sulked. "Don't forget, you girls gotta behave while we're at the meeting. You can't go at each other in front of everyone." he reminded. "Oh come now, I won't cause any issues. You should have more faith in me by now." Alicia assured. "I not fight snake, not have to worry." Serenity waved. "If whole world see us, not want to make her look bad. I not THAT mean..." she added with a sly grin. "Excuse me...?" Alicia scowled. "You have a habit of giving yourself an ego you don't deserve. You honestly think you could best ME in a fight?" the snake asked. "You know..." Rose interrupted, now raising her own hand as the two looked at her. "If it wasn't for me, you both would've been kinda beaten in that last fight." she reminded, making them blink before scowling. "We do fine without help!" Serenity scoffed. "Indeed! We had a handle on it!" Alicia agreed. "I dunno... You were getting kinda thrashed by those last two Pokemon, though they were so fast they were pretty much invisible." Chris added.

"See there? Now he's on my side!" Rose giggled, leaning against him making Chris jolt as the two rivals scowled at him. "S-Stop making it about sides!!" he snapped. "Why do YOU wanna get involved?" he asked. "A girl just likes to have a little fun sometimes." the rabbit teased, sticking her tongue out playfully. "Y-You're digging graves here..." he point out. "Well, you started it yourself." she replied, causing him to groan and ask why he bothered as Serenity and Alicia gave one another looks of irritation. Letting out a sigh, Chris decided to return his focus to his Pokedex, beginning to look into the types of news outlets that planned to come to the meeting in the hopes his silence would settle down the rivals before him. Deciding to turn on the TV, Rose began browsing for something to watch while Alicia curiously watched Chris do his research. "These are some of the folks that are supposed to show up tomorrow... No telling what kinda questions could be thrown at us." he point out. "Looking into who's who are we?" Alicia asked, getting a nod. "I not really care about that stuff..." Serenity shrugged while walking past. "Where ya' going?" Chris replied, looking up as she made her way toward the kitchen. "I get bed sheets. You not take them out of dry machine." she explained. "A-Ah..." he nodded, glancing at Alicia and blushing slightly while the snake did the same. "I-I'll get it!" he offered. "It fine... You do thing you doing. I can take out and make bed easy." Serenity assured. "Kind of getting tired... If have to put up with humans and people at Mayor's place tomorrow, I need to sleep while can. Think of what happen if I go and not have rest." she cautioned, making Chris picture her on a bad morning in front of the world making a nervous laugh escape his lips.

"Guess you got a point... Sure you don't need help?" he repeat. "I fine, I fine." Serenity affirmed as they heard her opening the dryer and rummaging until finally returning with part of the bedding in her arms while several sheets float over her via her psychic abilities. "You be careful too. You the one human's coming to see. It not do you good to stay up late either." she warned. "I know... I'm just not tired yet really. Dunno if it's because I'm anxious or what... I'll be up soon enough though." Chris promised. "What about you girls?" he asked. "I'm fine at the moment. I'm a tad curious as to who we can expect as well... Plus, perhaps it would serve you well to practice your stance for when you stand before everyone. I could help you look more... Appropriate, if you like." Alicia offered. "Being refined as I am, it only makes sense I would aid in training you for your grand moment." she smirked proudly. "I-If you say so." Chris nodded with slight sweat on his face. "...What? Am I not refined?" the snake scowled. "Y-You are! You are!" he assured. "Very good then." Alicia nodded. "How about you?" Chris asked, turning to Rose as she went through the channels. "I'm okay... Sometimes good stuff comes on late. I'll see if there's anything I like." the rabbit smiled. "Guess you're on your own for a little bit." Chris waved as Serenity made her way upstairs. "I see later then. Not be surprised if not able to know what others saying. Ability not work when I fall asleep." she reminded. "No worries." Chris nodded. "I kinda get distracted when something good is on anyways so I don't think I'll talk much anyway." Rose confessed with a guilty smile. "I'll just use motion to convey what need be if I must." Alicia waved with her tail.

"Get some good sleep." Chris nodded while looking back at the climbing Pokemon, making sure she made it up the steps alright before returning his focus to his device. "Now then... How about I try looking like this...?" he asked, pointing out one of the pictures of a past Mayor and getting a nod from Alicia before he stood. Taking on a confident stance like he was in front of a podium, Alicia approached and adjusted the way his chin was raised, offering him pointers on his shoulders as well while Rose finally stopped on a movie showing kids riding a train to the North Pole, mentioning loving it as she relaxed on the couch and watched the kids being served beverages in a spectacle styled manner. Meanwhile, upstairs Serenity went to work making the bed, albeit in a messy manner as she tossed and spread the sheets about. Once she was finished, she sat at the foot of the mattress with a sigh, looking down at the blankets before rubbing her hand across them. Thinking about how Chris and Alicia had just done it on the bed not long ago, it made the Pokemon scowl out of her own jealousy, looking at the door as she thought about how she surrendered and let her rival have her way. While it might have been the right thing to do, she couldn't help but feel frustrated for condoning their act and letting the snake pass her when she had. In the end, despite everything she'd done to help Alicia, her rival got the best reward while she was left with mere words of thanks, leaving Serenity feeling both, frustrated and lonely in a sense as she looked around the empty room. Taking a breath, she let herself plop back on the bed, her legs remaining over the edge with the tips of her feet touching the floor as she looked at the sky above.

Downstairs, eventually Rose finished her movie while Chris continued looking through things on the internet, relaxing with Alicia lying across his lap, her head on the arm of the couch having dozed off. Stretching her arms up, Rose stood as the credits rolled on the TV and made her way up to Chris, offering a hug. Asking if she was heading up for the night, the rabbit nodded as he looked down at the snake across his lap, pointing out he wasn't going anywhere with her sleeping on top of him. Not wanting to wake her, he instructed Rose to go on without him, assuring he'd join with Alicia whenever she woke up. Making her way along, the rabbit waved goodnight before climbing the stairs as Chris stretched where he sat and started petting Alicia on the head, a smile appearing on her face in response. Making her way up to their bedroom, Rose let out a yawn as she reached the door, noticing it left cracked as she approached. Peeking inside, she slowly pushed it open and poked her head in the room, looking around to find all was silent and still before hearing rustling as Serenity rolled over on the bed, now lying fast asleep under the sheets. Stepping inside, the rabbit quietly shut the door behind her and approached the bed, noticing how sloppily it had been put together. Smiling nervously, Rose showed slight sweat while thinking there was still an A for effort deserved. Deciding she'd join for the night, as the rabbit climbed onto the bed from the foot of it she found herself pausing when her hand pressed down on a wet spot, making her let out a quiet "eh?" and look down. Pulling her hand back, she thought the sheets may not have dried completely when Serenity put them back on, only to notice the rest of the sheets seemed fine.

Feeling the wet spot again, she noticed the texture was off as she pulled her fingers from it and looked at her hand. Feeling it between her fingers before lowering her face and sniffing the spot, curious as to what it was, upon catching the scent her eyes widened, slowly raising her head as she looked at her fingers again and sniffed them as well. After a moment, a small blush appeared on her face while turning her attention to Serenity, looking at her as she dozed. Holding her fingers close to her nose, Rose gave them a tiny lick. Tilting her head back slightly, she began sniffing at the air as well until looking at the sheets covering Serenity, her feet sticking out from the bottom. Reaching out, Rose slowly lift the sheets and found the scent of the Pokemon beneath wafting from within, a sign of a female who had just recently gone through a moment of heat. Feeling the wet spot again, Rose figured Serenity must have come upstairs to do a few things in private before going to sleep, likely passing out when she had finished. Nonetheless, because of that the remains were left on the blankets, and given the scent the rabbit picked up, there were more remains at the source. With her mind flashing back to what she'd done to Serenity before, Rose found her curiosity stirring once more, looking around and back at the door as she debated whether or not she'd dare exploring said curiosity a second time. Having already spent her fair share of time being guilty for her actions, she knew the punishment that came with doing such a thing to her friend in secret. Though given they were even more alone than before, there was a new safety to the situation even though she knew the morality of what she considered was negative.

Nonetheless, feeling the wet spot and taking in the scent on her fingers, as Serenity rolled onto her stomach Rose looked at her expression, full of the peace one has when far off in other worlds. Looking around and at the door again, Rose bit her lip before reaching out and lifting the sheets again, exposing a portion of Serenity's sprawled lower legs. Getting no response, she peeked underneath and found she'd also left her skirt extended, sprawled out around her legs. Seeing this, the rabbit shook her head and decided the worth wasn't risk it. Setting the sheet back down, she took a breath before crawling up to Serenity's side and lying down with her, settling herself under the sheets with a sigh. Looking up at the aurora softly waving about in the sky above, Rose asked herself what she was doing in her mind, knowing how wrong it was and how bad it made her feel to do things to her friend in such a way. Rolling onto her side, she looked at Serenity's face as she slept, the light from above making the Pokemon seemingly glow in a soft manner. Showing a slight blush, the rabbit thought back on the foursome they'd had, remembering how she'd purposely focused on Serenity's mouth during the intimacy. Biting her lip, Rose's hand started inching its way toward her nether region as she looked as Serenity's lips, slightly parted as she dozed. After a moment, she found herself scooting closer toward the Pokemon, calling her name to see if it would wake her. Getting no response, Rose inched closer to Serenity with a blush remaining, looking at her face until returning her focus to her lips. After a moment, the rabbit was able to get close enough to feel her breath against her own lips, making her feel itchy all the more in her nether region.

Calling out Serenity's name a second time and still getting no response, Rose found herself unable to resist and leaned in closer, keeping a wary mindset until taking the opportunity and giving Serenity a kiss. With her heart suddenly skipping beats from the act, Rose pulled away and looked at the sleeping Pokemon's face before taking a second kiss, followed by a third as her fingers finally touched her lower body. Slipping them between her legs, Rose began teasing her own slit while looking at her slumbering friend. Taking notice once more of Serenity's slightly open mouth, the rabbit worked up the courage to steal another kiss, this time carefully working her tongue into Serenity's mouth for a small taste. Carefully working past her teeth, Rose touched the tip of their tongues together before the Pokemon finally stirred, making the rabbit tense up. About to pull back, the rabbit found herself held by Serenity instead, being kissed back as their lips pressed. With her eyes as wide as could be, Rose remained still as the sleeping companion pulled away and cuddled her, almost like a teddy bear of sorts while murmuring something about Chris leaving Rose stuck in a difficult spot. With a flush on her face, the rabbit kept motionless until Serenity finally loosened her grip, allowing Rose to gain freedom as she carefully squirmed her way free, watching as her captor rolled back onto her stomach with her face away. Touching her lips, the rabbit felt her heart racing from the kiss and danger of the moment combined, finding herself somehow excited from the experience. After a moment, she looked down at the blankets where Serenity's lower half was, and after squirming in place and biting her lip in hesitation, Rose finally took further action.

Working her way under the sheets, she quietly and cautiously made her way to Serenity's legs. With both already spread from her movement moments ago, Rose made her way between them, doing her best to reposition the strands of Serenity's skirt in the process. Finally at her goal, the rabbit looked down at the Pokemon's butt, pausing once more as she tried to second guess what she was doing. Reaching out, she touched the rear before her while still trying to tell herself not to go further, only to push Serenity's skirt out of the way and reveal her butt, crack and all.
