"Alright, they moved again last month but if Morg got this right then their new den should have an entrance under the west-side bridge." Talking to yourself was usually a sign that a person didn't quite have all their dogs barking but, far more benignly, it could also just indicate nervousness and Trezz the goblin wasn't so above herself to admit that her current venture had her ever so slightly chickenshit scared.

One goblin out on their own was widely considered about the most useless thing in the universe, let alone a goblin on a one women assault on a rival kobold den.

A fantastically ignorant man might question why kobolds and goblins, the punching bags of the four kingdoms, wouldn't work together to try and eak out a living in the shadows of the greater races. Assuming he hadn't been laughed out of whatever pub he had been in some kind soul might have taken pity and explained to this troll-brained wasp-head that dragon-kin and orc-kin would sooner pull out their own teeth than work together.

That was just the way of the world, or at least the way of the city. Human, Elves, Dwarves, etc built up, out and forward while everyone else ran underfoot and ripped at each other for scraps. It was the whole reason Trezz was wadding though the foul smelling (even for a goblin) East River. Every few months or so some of the tall folk went on purging raids to try and push the 'vermin' out of the city. They never succeeded but it did necessitate fairly regular den movement for beings like Trezz, and her target.

Morg had sworn to her that he had seen some of the scaly bastards coming and going from some new hole they dug under the bridge. It had to be one of their secondary dens, or so Trezz was hoping. If Morg was just cuttin her ear and there was no one there than she had just spent an hour wading through freezing water for nothing. Of course, if it was their main den then she was screwed in a completely different way; and she knew for a fact that the dragon wannabe's could swim faster than she could.

So Trezz would keep convincing herself that it was just a small secondary den and that any kobolds that called it home would be across town at the back alley scrum that she knew was happening. In, out, nice and quick with hopefully a few armloads of scrap iron or shinnies if she was lucky and boss Grombg wouldn't have her head when the end of the week came.

And with that cheery thought she came back to the present. Her plan was going well so far. On the off chance the kobolds had set any sentries they would probably be watching for people dropping from the bridge, which is why she had been slowly creeping though the reeds from further up river, and finally the bridge was in sight.

First glance, everything seemed good, the bridge was seeing light, but fairly consistent, foot traffic so there was no way the kobolds could be watching from it, they'd have been quickly driven away. Second glance, even better, while her night vision may not have been as keen as some races Trezz couldn't see any of the scaly bastards hiding in the shadows under the bridge as well. So it looked like if the den was there then no others were watching it right now. She'd be in and out before they even got back.

The reeds rustled and parted as Trezz finally climbed back onto solid land, taking a second to shake some of the river water from her legs. She was lucky it was still the middle of summer, trying to do this kind of entrance in any colder weather would be a ticket to a frosty death.

Pulling herself under the arch of the bridge her prize came into view. Typical kobold construction, a mound of earth nearly concealing a hole dug into the side of the embankment, with several stones from the bridge pried loose and discarded to the side. It couldn't go too deep, she reasoned, otherwise the river would have seeped in and flooded everything.

A quick glance around, no bit of metal dangling on strings to make noise, no crunchy broken glass underfoot. Good, they must not have taken the time to set up any traps yet. That was really what she was counting on, striking so soon after the last purge. No real reason to put it off any longer.

The tunnel went straight back into the earth at a cramped, but workable for a goblin, height. Any human trying to get in would probably have to crawl but that's why they generally preferred to smoke out any bolt holes they found.

It was cold as she took her first steps inside, with the river so close by the kobolds wouldn't have been able to dig far enough down for it to start getting warm again.

Shivering and still damp Trezz made a mental note to try and grab some clothes left out on a washing line on her way back. She had gone with the bare minimum for her river walk, to keep from getting too soaked, and now there was a cool wind blowing in from the river, or... was it coming from further down?

Finally, after about a minute of following the crudely dug tunnel, things opened up again into a cramped but serviceable little room with about four different tunnels leading off in different directions. The ceiling was held up with broken shovels and various branches and other sticks, clearly quickly dug out. Various bits of junk were strewn about the floor, "just like home" Trezz thought with a bit of a smirk.

There was nothing good in the main room, just some broken pottery and twisted pewter cutlery, the good stuff would obviously be deeper in. The question was, down what tunnel? Time was of the essence and she doubted she'd have time to search the entire den.

Suddenly, something caught her eye. A glint coming out of the far passage, just what she was looking for, shineys. It made sense that they would have hoarded their good, shiny stuff at the deepest part of the cave. Predictable.

It only took a few strides to cross the main room but when she got to the area the glint came from, things just didn't make sense. First, with her eyes focused on the ground the object that caused the glint quickly came into sight. Some kind of pale, bluish crystal lying embedded in the ground. Trizz may not have been a jeweller but shiny=money=food was the first thing most goblins learned after breathing.

However, when she made a grab for it her hand almost immediately recoiled. The damn thing was freezing cold! It was only then that she looked up and saw the tunnel she had been about to head down just dead ended a few feet in. The entire passageway was blocked off a by a wall of what must have been ice. As a breeze blew by her she shivered with the cold that was radiating off the wall. But it was the words coming from behind her that truly froze her in place.

"Not quite the treasure you were looking for?" Trizz spun around so fast she almost puked. She had decided against bringing any kind of weapon on the grounds that it wouldn't have done much good in her hands, but still, she reached behind her at the same time. Hopefully she might be able to bluff and threaten her way out of this without them realizing how vulnerable she really was.

That dream died on the vine the minute she saw her ambusher. The kobold was unlike any of the others she had seen in the city. Unlike the dull greens or reds that usually covered city kobolds, this one was a powder blue with a darker head crest and feet. The seconds unusual thing were her clothes, not the usual loincloth or sack shirt, but rough yet clearly well cleaned and cared for furs that were in no way positioned to keep her warm. The final thing was the big (by goblin or kobold standards) staff that was now swinging down to point at her and oh shit she had hesitated to long.

Even as she spread out her arms to try and jump out of the way the ice leapt from the end of the strange kobolds staff and quickly snaked up her legs and arms, jutting up above her shoulders while leaving her chest and head free. Ice statue in less than a second.

"I just step down into my pantry to grab something to eat and what do I come back to? Some greenskin rummaging through my trash. What an uncouth uninvited guest." The kobolds words slipped out as smooth as the ice wall behind Trezz, her tone clearly amused and not the least bit threatened. Not that Trezz was in any position to challenge that assumption, she had to admit. Still, amused was better than angry. There was still a chance, even if slim.

"Oh, this place still occupied? With all the junk laying around I thought I was the only one around." Trezz was desperately trying to keep a straight face and keep the shivers away. Though funny enough she didn't feel as cold as she thought she ought to, given her circumstances. Just keep talking.

"Abandoned? That's what the junk is supposed to make it look like. All the real stuff is hidden behind some of my ice walls. Of course, you wouldn't have been looking to get behind any of those now would you?" The tone was lilting, mocking, there was no way this blue bitch didn't believe she hadn't come her to rob the joint but the first rule of conning was to never admit you've been got.

"Ice walls? No, no, do I look like I've got a pick on me anywhere. What would I even do to them?" She was talking faster now, grifting had never been her specialty in the tribe and the chill was really starting to get to her. This ice pillar gave her no wiggle room, there was going to be no escape artist act here.

"Ice pick? I doubt you could be hiding anything in there" the icy mage said while poking Trezz right in the boob. She was circling her now, eyeing her up like she had seen some nobles do to their statues.

"But I suppose I better make sure" Another jab came in from the staff, somewhat lower this time. "Oh Gob not in the..." Trezz's cry was cut off before she could finish. The staff had managed to pass right under her pussy, just grazing her loincloth and punching out the other side of the imprisoning ice like it was butter.

The second shock followed a split second later. Another burst of cold surged up her loincloth and with just a tap the entire thing shattered into dust. And then there she was, trussed up like a marble statue and missing her loincloth with some way to powerful kobold rubbing her staff across her pussy.

"Wha-what the hell are you do-oooing?" Ok, yep that was not an illusion, Trezz was suddenly leaking like a hand pump down there even though the staff felt like ice on her skin.

"Like that? My magic is based around turning liquids into solids but I'm pretty good at getting all kinds of liquids to flow as well."

"Is this some kind of sick joke to you, you blue b-bitch!" Trezz was really trembling now, but the cold had almost left her head entirely. The staff had all kind of irregular bumps across its surface where ice deposits had formed and the kobold knew just how to spin and twist for maximum effect.

"Yes actually, some little greenskin breaks into a sorceresses den without even a knife? Sounds like the start of a joke to me. And while I am a lovely shade of blue I generally prefer to go by Lumi most days." The bitch's, or Lumi as Trezz reluctantly admitted, face turned suddenly from a mocking smile to a more devious smirk before she gave the staff one more quick twist. "Now, I wonder if I can get you screaming it in just a minute."

In the end it wasn't even close. A quick flick of the wrist and those bumps that had been rubbing her so tortuously before exploded upward, instantly filling every part of her in a way nothing not created by magic ever could.

That same damned cold was now so far up inside her that she swore she could feel it in her throat, and yet still the skin right next to the imprisoning ice refused to so much as frost over. Fucking sorcerers.

"You -ngh yeg ahhhh" words completely failed her now as the seemingly solid mass inside her began undulating as if it were still a liquid. Expanding, contracting, flexing as if it were a real living thing.

Trezz could barely see Lumi now, her eyes were watering so much, but she was pretty sure the kobold had fashioned herself some kind seat out of her ice and was now placidly watching her torment with that same damned smirk on her stupid muzzle. If it weren't for the pillar restraining her she was sure she would have been thrashing all over the place.

In the end Trezz didn't know how long she was kept trussed up, after the 7th or 8th orgasm she had begun to loose track of her perceptions, and eventually she must have passed out altogether. When she finally did come back to herself the first thing she noticed was that at least she wasn't still trussed up in a pillar. Her top was heavily damaged and her bottom was obviously still destroyed but at least she was unrestrained, laying on the cool earth of the den.

In fact she was right next to where she had first entered the den. Scrambling to her feet her eyes quickly fell back onto Lumi and she saw that she had been correct. The Kobold had indeed fashioned a throne of ice in order to watch her writhe around in pleasure and pain.

In fact she was still sitting there, her smirk having faded to simply be a bemused and somewhat patronizing smile. She was looking, not directly at Trezz, but a bit further down. Following her gaze led to Trezz strangling a shout in her throat. Where her little green belly button had been just a few hours before now sat a glittering blue crystal, almost the same as the one she had first bent down to grab.

It was a long moment before Trezz finally got up the nerve to break the silence. "You in the habit of just leaving your stuff in any place you can find?" She tried to summon back some of her previous bluster but it died before the words even left her throat, instead resolving to slowly inch back toward the entrance. There was nothing to be gained and potentially a lot to lose by hanging around here even a minute longer.

"Left? No, placed" Lumi was clearly amused by her rather pathetic attempts at subtly escaping, "That's just a little... gift from me, a reminder of what sticking that pert, green ass of yours in every hole you come across can lead to, if you're lucky."

"Lucky? What kind of upside-down world do you come from where what you did to me would be considered lucky!"

"One where most little goblin thieves would be fortunate to have both their hands cut off and be booted out of the city if they were found sticking their little noses into places they shouldn't be. Quite a lot of people would pay good money for such an intimate demonstration of the... benefits of ice magic."

Trezz's retort died in her mouth, she was completely right, and it was time to cut all losses and get out of here. Endure the embarrassment and probable guard chases her bottomless run home would bring and just go. She inched back even faster when Lumi moved to reach behind her back, only to pause in confusion when she pulled out a small pouch and threw it at her feet.

"A little, tip, for an evening of entertainment." She said, pointing with her staff, "and I look forward to the future fun you'll give me. Now good night, or rather, good morning. Don't drown in the river on your way out."

And with that the ice mage tapped her staff on the ground and a wall of ice sprung up to cut off the main hall so fast that it nearly took Trezz's nose off. The way back in was completely sealed, the only thing left to do was scoop up the pouch and turn around.

As it turned out the pouch contained nearly 30 small copper pieces, more than enough to get her through the next week. But as she stepped back out onto the soft bank of the river and shielded her eyes from the freshly dawning sun, Trezz couldn't help but feel a seed of cold emanating through her entire being. And it was coming right from her navel.
