An Unlikely Pairing.

I was sat in my chemistry class concentrating on trying not to blow the place up, there is a knock on the door and I watch as the teacher, Mrs Headgeburn, a white rabbit no less, opens the door, standing the other side of the door is my new boyfriend Daniel, with quite a serious look on his face, Daniel has a note in his hoofed hand which he hands to the teacher, and then he speaks.

"Mrs Headgeburn, would it be possible for me to have a quick chat with Tyler Winthrop? It is kind of urgent"

The teacher looks at me.

"Young Mr Winthrop, it seems that you are needed for a chat, please don't take all day about it"

I stand clear of the counter where I am working and head out from the class with Daniel, closing the door as I go. Daniel puts a hand on my shoulder and brings his head level with mine before speaking softly to me.

"Tyler, I thought you should know, Manolo has been taken to hospital, he has received some very serious injuries courtesy of a Rhino by the name of Tyrone Blackstock. Principal Lions has with my help expelled the asshole from school. After school I think it would be good if you and me went to visit Manolo, Principal Lions went with him in the ambulance so if we visit him and he's awake, it will at least show him that he has friends"

I stand there shocked, just taking in everything Daniel has just told me, and then I make my reply.

"I've just got the rest of chemistry then a double session of English Literature to go through before schools out so I will meet you at my truck"

With that said, I give the horse a quick peck on the lips and then head back into class, I stand at my counter again and the teacher clears her throat.

"Class, I have some very disturbing news, I have just received a note from Principal Lions informing me that Mr Sampaio has been taken to hospital after he was attacked by a fellow student, it falls upon me to reiterate the rules governing bullying within this school, bullying will not and I repeat not be tolerated and those who are caught either participating in bullying or indeed are seen to be the instigators of such bullying, will be immediately removed from school. I have been made aware in the past that Manolo has been accused of bullying, however, as yet nothing can be proved, so for now he is the victim"

After her speech, Mrs Headgeburn went on to continue to teach her class. The bell sounds to announce the end of class and I begin to head towards the door, as I do I am called back by Mrs Headgeburn.

"Tyler, it is fortunate for you that whilst you were talking to Daniel Kanon, that the rest of the class were busy with their work, because if any of the other kids had seen you kissing another male as I saw you, your life would have been made hell. Now don't get me wrong, I have nothing against gays, hell my uncle is gay and I love him dearly, but I will give you a friendly word of warning, whilst I'm ok with gay furs, it would be a good idea for you not to advertise the fact by kissing in front of a classroom door. On a more......personal note, I had the pleasure of being Daniel's chemistry teacher for three years and I know this much, you have yourself one hell of a boyfriend, if this school had more students like Mr Kanon, we wouldn't need an anti-bullying policy. Now, go to your next lesson, you don't want to be late, and for god sakes, in future, be careful"

I blush to a deep red at having been caught kissing Daniel by my chemistry teacher, I nod my head and quickly leave the classroom heading for my English Literature class.

English literature went by without any hitches, the bell sounded to alert us that it was the end of the day, the sound of many chairs being moved could be heard as a classroom full of bored furs piles out from the room, I quickly head to the parking area and get into my truck, I sit there lost in thought about being caught in a kiss with Daniel, suddenly I'm brought out of my daze by a knock at the passenger side window, it's Daniel, he opens the door and gets in.

"Hun, are you ok? You looked completely lost for a minute"

I turn to Daniel and look at him with a serious look and make my reply.

"Daniel, we have to be careful when it comes to our.....relationship, Mrs Headgeburn caught us kissing outside the class, and she says that she is ok with us, she was very complimentary about you, but love, what if the other kids had seen the kiss, our lives would have been turned upside down, your excellent reputation would have been in tatters"

Daniel's muzzle fell into his lap.

"Damn, I guess we kinda got lost in the moment huh? Well I'm just thankful that it was Gayle that caught us and not Principal Lions"

I look at my boyfriend with confusion.

"Gayle?"

"Tyler, I'm talking about Mrs Headgeburn, her name is Gayle Headgeburn and she happens to be one of the fucking coolest teachers in this whole place, I got on well with her, hence the reason I know her by her first name"

I give Daniel a little smirk and then nod my head, we then pull out of the parking area and head to the hospital.

At a house a mile across town a Rhino is just putting a key in the front door. He enters and is immediately met by his parents, and neither of them is happy. Tyrone's father undoes the belt on his pants and then speaks.

"So, you've decided to become a bully, a nasty one at that, apparently you put a student in hospital today according to Principal Lions. I am a well respected physician in this town and I will not have my good name ruined by a beast like you. Now bend over, I'm gonna teach you the meaning of pain, I'm gonna take my belt to your sorry ass"

Tyrone begins to quiver but does as his father asks; suddenly his body is rocked by twenty hard lashes of his father's belt. His father then lets Tyrone stand again and speaks to the now crying Rhino.

"I am going to be speaking to Principal Lions to see if I can get you reinstated back in school, but I want to see an improvement in your behaviour, I also want your grades to get back to the straight A's that they used to be, if I don't see either of these, the whipping that I have just given you will seem like a walk in the park compared to what I will do to you, now get to your room and stay there, you will have no dinner and no other privileges for the next week"

Tyrone begins his long and sore journey to his room, where he lies awkward on his bed and cries his eyes out.

Daniel and me arrive at the hospital and walk in to find Principal Lions sat in the waiting area, he stands and greets us.

"Daniel, Tyler, thank you for coming to visit Manolo, I know it can't be easy for you Tyler knowing what I know now about the fact that you were.......bullied by Manolo, rest assured that as soon as he is well enough, he will suffer the same fate as the Rhino, he will be expelled from school"

I'm just about to protest but Daniel beats me to it.

"Principal Lions, Tyler here has been able to gain a little bit of friendship and trust with Manolo, he has told Tyler about his own upbringing and childhood, I believe that if myself and Tyler can become Manolo's friends you will see an immense change in Manolo, most certainly kicking him out of school is not the answer sir. There is also something else that you should know..."

The Doberman cut Daniel off.

"Relax Daniel, I have said nothing at school because you are one of my best students, but I know that you are gay, and I'm gonna take a punt and say that I believe that you and Mr Winthrop are maybe mated? Would that be an accurate assumption?"

The blush on my face says it all, the Doberman continues his chat.

"Boys, at school I am the hardnosed bastard that keeps nearly two thousand pupils and staff in order, what no one knows however is the fact that in my living quarters I have a mate, a male mate, so like you I feel the urge to just hump my mate without so much as a thought, but I have been the Principal at Hilton Fur Academy for ten years now, and in all that time I have managed to control those urges, sure after school and at weekends, I hump his brains out, but during school time, I keep my weapon of choice locked away in my pants, I suggest that you both do as I do, what you do in your dorm room after school, that is entirely up to you, but during the school day try to keep your minds focused on your education. Now, I will allow Manolo to stay at school and I will allow you both to befriend him, but I want to see a marked improvement in his behaviour, and of course boys, I need you both to keep a lid on the fact that I'm gay"

Me and Daniel nodded our heads and then headed to the room where Manolo was still lying unconscious, we both pull up chairs and sit next to his bed.
