Swept Away (Five)
#5 of Healing
OK, I'm actually really psyched to get this back up and running...I've had some time to think about some things and what I want to do in the story, and I hope that everyone enjoys it! Criticism is welcome and yada yada....
and on a side note...is there too much space inbetween lines...i can never tell, and the formatting in between word and Sofurry is strange sometimes...oh well, if it's a problem please state so and i'll look into fixing it and what not.

Kale walked into class and took a seat. He was in a medical boot now, and was now using a cane. It had been a month since everything had happened-the kidnapping, the abandoning, and since meeting Anthony. He looked around and saw his seat next to the bear. He sat down; it was the first class of the day, and the fact that Anthony was in all his classes made it bearable. He looked over at Anthony who was scribbling down answers for home work, "Shouldn't you have done that last night?"
Anthony chuckled, "Yeah...but I didn't want to,"
Kale looked over at the answers, none of them all the way done. "Don't you think you should finish all the answers..."
"Nah...you'll learn it eventually, but...Mr. Carton never checks for correctness, so as long as my answer looks half way decent I'll get full credit," Anthony replied with a chuckle.
Kale was about to say something when he saw Sarah, a fox walk in. She was sadly, in half of the classes he had. She was annoying to say the least. Kale saw her look at him and scowl before going to her seat. Kale returned his attention to Anthony, "You know...I don't think she likes me," he said sarcastically.
Anthony chuckled, "Yeah...but she has to hate someone...so why not us,"
Kale heard a bell ring, meaning class was about to start. The teacher immediately began teaching. Class wasn't hard; in fact Kale spent most of it daydreaming. He didn't really pay that much attention to the teacher.
He thought about everything that had happened. He wasn't unhappy with his life now. He was glad he met Anthony, he liked the bear, and thought that maybe he more than just liked him. Over the past month he had started to become used to living here, it was nice. Orangeburg was a nice enough place, the people weren't too annoying and he even made a few friends. He was brought from his thoughts prematurely as he heard the teacher asking him a question. "I'm sorry...say what again?"
"What type of growth is this?" Mr. Carton asked with a sigh.
"It shows..." Kale said and looked at it for a second, "the growth of a population according to age and in this one we have...positive growth,"
Mr. Carton nodded. At that Kale went back to his thoughts, he didn't even want to think about the subject. He looked over at Anthony who was sitting with his head resting in his paw, not really paying attention to the teacher either. Kale looked away after a moment, not trying to stare at the bear. No one at school knew that he was gay, or that Anthony was either. They didn't exactly make it known, but everyone knew that Kale was a new kid. They knew that he lived with Anthony, and he wasn't well liked because of it. The most common name for him was 'charity case' which he hated. When Kale asked Anthony laughed at him and said that would be shallow. He guessed it seemed like they were just friends to most people though. Suddenly another noise ran through his mind, the bell. Class was already over-it passed so quickly it seemed.
The rest of the day followed the same, nothing interesting happening. In English Kale had to share the poem he wrote, it was nice. He had a hundred in the class, and a hundred in psychology and biology. Anthony liked to joke with him that he made the grades in classes that shared nothing in common. Kale laughed at it too. He didn't like English, but he was surprisingly good at it. He could write, style wise, better than most people, but his legibility was that of a first grader. When he finished with the poem he let out a sigh as the claps came-what was expected. He hated having to speak in class. He returned his attention to a book that was on his desk, it was for his next class. He and Anthony shared all their classes. That was; psychology, biology, chemistry, calculus, government, economy, and English. The classes weren't all boring. Kale liked psychology and he liked biology, but the rest he tolerated. It was strange; they had biology and chemistry every day, which was a new experience for him.
As the bell rang again, third period was over. Kale looked over at Anthony and smiled, walking over to him. For this class they didn't sit with each other, they had assigned seating. "Another fun day of lunch..." he said with a sigh.
"Yeah..." Anthony replied. They had to eat lunch here at the school. During the first week of school they had gone out and grabbed something in town, then made it back in time for their last class, but now they couldn't. Sarah's boyfriend, Ryan made sure of that. His father was the police chief, and was, as Kale called it, 'dirty'. Anthony didn't think he was, but didn't like him either. He had waited on them outside a restaurant once and said that if they were caught again that it would be counted as skipping. Tons of students did it, it was just that Sarah and Ryan hated the bear. Anthony had no idea why they hated him, just that they did, and that they were also taking it out on Kale.
Kale and Anthony walked into the lunchroom, Anthony still moved slowly so that Kale could keep up. They sat down at what was known as the 'band table' and Anthony went to get lunch. Kale waited-he never ate lunch, and wasn't about to start. He felt someone behind him, whoever it was; their paws were in front of his face.
"Guess who?"
"I don't know...could it be...Eric," Kale said, with a sigh.
Eric, a leopard, chuckled, "No, don't humor me...please," he said sarcastically.
Kale chuckled as the leopard sat down across from him. The leopard was about to start eating. Eric was one of the first people he met at the school, and was one of the first people who was nice to him. He liked the leopard, he was a good friend. "Fine then I won't,"
Eric chuckled. He had black fur with white spots, yellow eyes, tall and lean, and was well liked. He was the leader of the band, which was one of the best in the state. At the school, he was probably the most well liked and well known person in the school. It was strange though, he was so well liked, but he hung out with the two most unpopular people. Eric never acted like it mattered though. Whenever people came up to him they would talk and laugh with him, but whenever they looked at who he was hanging out with they never paid attention to Kale or Anthony; and it was happening again right now.
When they left Kale looked at Eric, "Why do you hang out with Anthony?"
Eric looked up and chuckled, "I hang out with you too, ya' know?"
Kale chuckled a little, but frowned again, "Fine...why do you hang out with us...you see the looks, the hate that we get...all for no reason...so why?"
"Exactly because of what you said; it's all for no reason. You and Anthony are cool...though I guess others don't think so, but for me; you two are the coolest guys in the school. I don't really care what other people think..." Eric said with a sigh.
Kale dropped the topic at that. He just felt glad that the leopard liked them. Anthony came back and sat down next to him. Kale smiled lightly at the bear. They all talked a little, laughing and joking a little. It was nice, not too bad, it was pleasant. Kale was glad that he was here, it was better than back home. As they talked he felt something hit the back of his head. He didn't bother turning around, it was a piece of food, probably a French fry. He could hear laughter, it was Sarah's. It was followed by a few more, all of which he just ignored, as did Anthony and Eric. They learnt it was better to ignore them than to ignite an argument.
A few minutes later she walked by, and was followed by a few people, all of them considered themselves to be so great. She looked at kale, "Since you never eat lunch I hope you liked the food,"
Kale heard Anthony growl, but stopped him. He looked over at Sarah, "No, not really. My sense of smell is really good, and you want to know something, those fries reeked of skank,"
Sarah scoffed and walked off.
Kale felt a paw hit the back of his head, roughly. It was her boyfriend, Ryan, who did it. He walked off too, "Watch it mutt,"
"Cya kitty," Kale replied.
Ryan stopped for a moment, and then scoffed and walked off. Kale returned his attention to Anthony and Eric who were shaking their heads. Kale felt his leg shaking a little, he didn't let on he was scared. It wasn't who they were that scared him though, it was what they were. Out of all the people that could've hated him; it had to be a tiger and a fox-great luck.
"Dude, you shouldn't do that," Eric said.
"Yeah...why agg them on like that?" Anthony asked.
"I don't agg them on...besides, am I supposed to just let them do that stuff?"
"Fight back by not fighting,"
"It doesn't work with people like that," Kale said, a growl coming from his chest. He saw it surprised Eric and Anthony, "Sorry..."
Anthony frowned at the husky. He didn't expect Kale to be like them. He liked how Kale stood up for himself, even though it was slight. The husky never let someone take him down. He wanted to know more about Kale's past, but didn't want to ask; he knew it was bad. He sighed, "Well, just be careful...they hate you because you hang out with me,"
Kale chuckled, "No...I'm pretty sure they hate me on my own,"
Eric laughed too, "Yeah...I think so too,"
They all chuckled and returned to a more normal talk. They didn't let their situation get them down. As lunch ended Kale walked with Anthony to chemistry. They did a lab that day and then left. They didn't go home; sometimes went to Taylor's and hung out for a bit. The wolf always welcomed them. This was one of those days.
Kale hobbled up to the door and walked in, where Taylor was serving a customer.
The black wolf looked up, "Oh, hi Kale!"
"Hey..." Kale said and took his usual sit. Anthony came in behind him and sat behind him. It was pleasant; the smell of the restaurant was nice. Kale would rub his leg against Anthony's sometimes, the bear always returning it, but very subtly. After a minute Taylor came up to them, and sat down.
"How are ya'll doin'?" she asked.
"Good," Anthony replied.
"School goin' well? I always hated school,"
Kale chuckled, "It's going OK I guess,"
They talked for a bit before Anthony said they should get going. Kale agreed and they all said their good-byes. When they got into the car they both relaxed a bit. It was strange, that they were going out yet didn't tell anyone. Neither of them minded though, it wasn't anyone's business. Kale was worried that Anthony was embarrassed though. He looked over at the bear, "Anthony?"
"Yeah?"
"...Are you embarrassed of...you know," Kale said, letting the words fall off.
Anthony looked over at Kale, and sighed. He liked the husky, and thought maybe he liked the husky more than just a lot. He knew Kale wasn't trying to push the subject, but understood where he was coming from. "I...just don't think it's anyone's business...I mean, think about it...we come out and guess what happens? We'd just get more grief, I don't want bigots to have another reason to hate me...or you,"
"Why do the people at the school hate you?" Kale asked, he didn't get it. He saw form some of the people's actions that they didn't like the bear. They would glare at him or say things behind his back. It was weird, because Anthony was always kind, compassionate, one of the best people Kale knew.
"I don't know...I don't 'share' my money, which isn't even mine. I don't get it, I'm not rich...my parents are,"
"That's something only rich people say," Kale replied with a chuckle.
Anthony laughed at that. He knew it was true. "Yeah...maybe, but I'm not interested in friends who just want my money...which is everyone I know...besides Eric,"
Kale looked at the bear, "Hey! I'm not just after you're money," he said with a chuckle and leaned closer to the bear, "I have something better,"
Anthony felt himself blush, and he focused more on the road. He knew the husky wasn't after his money, Kale had never asked for anything. He let Kale live with him, and neither of them acted like it was weird. The first time he heard someone call Kale a charity case he wanted to beat the person to the ground. He looked over at Kale, "Yeah, I guess you do," he said with a chuckle.
Kale laughed, "Arrogant," he replied.
The bear chuckled more and they drove down the road. Along the way Kale usually did homework, grabbing a laptop out of the back seat. He did homework on a laptop so that he could do it for himself and Anthony. He didn't do it all for Anthony, as the bear drove he talked and gave his own answers. It was just a more effective way to work, and by the time they got to the house they usually were almost done with a few classes. The drive always made Kale amazed at how far away the bear lived. As they got out he chuckled, "I don't know how you say you don't live far away,"
"You mean 'we' live far away," Anthony said.
Kale didn't respond, instead looking down at the ground and giving a forced laugh. He liked that the bear was always so nice to him, but hated that he was living off the bear's money. He hated the fact that he really was a charity case. He felt the bear put an arm around him and looked up.
"You OK?" Anthony asked, he knew what Kale was thinking though.
"Yeah...I'm fine," Kale replied. He smiled at Anthony and leaned on the bear as they walked inside. Usually he left his cane in the car, usually staying near the bear whenever they were at the house. When they got inside they headed up stairs. When they got upstairs Anthony grabbed a phone and called out for a few pizzas. It was only five but by the time it got here they would be hungry. Anthony sat down next to Kale on the couch in his room. Kale slept with him in the room, he had offered Kale his own room, but also offered Kale the chance to sleep with him. It really wasn't surprising which the husky chose.
Kale leaned over and nuzzled Anthony. He always did that as soon as they got back to the bear's home. He stopped when his head was on the bear's shoulder. They sat there and Anthony turned on the TV. It wasn't as big as the one downstairs, but they preferred to be on the bear's floor. Kale felt the bear pull on him and they were soon lying on the couch. They were watching a crime show; Kale was surprised when he learned the bear loved them as much as he did. They liked to watch new episodes to figure out who could learn who the killer was the quickest. Kale felt the bear's rubbing his arm, the one that he had cut a few weeks back. It had healed well, but the scar was obvious on it, feeling the inconsistency of how his fur and skin felt in that area.
Anthony kissed the top of Kale's head, rubbing the husky's arm as he did. He felt Kale nestle closer to him as he did and let out a sigh. Anthony was surprised how well Kale was doing. He was glad that the husky's conditions hadn't deteriorated, but the husky's mental state still was shaky. After one show passed and another was coming on the sound of a door bell ringing ran throughout the house. Anthony smiled and got up, Kale getting up with him. He looked at the husky, "I can get it,"
"I want to go with you," Kale replied.
This was part of what Anthony noticed. The husky didn't want to be alone, ever. He never wanted to be alone or left somewhere for long. It didn't surprise him though, and he didn't want to bring it up. He walked with Kale and they got downstairs. Anthony opened the door and paid for the pizzas, thanking the delivery person. He shut the door and stopped, looking at the answering machine; there was a message. "Kale...hit the answering machine will you?"
Kale chuckled "But that could break it,"
"Smart alec," he said with a chuckle
Kale did as the bear asked, and a voice soon filled the room.
"Anthony, this is your father. We'll be coming in soon. We have a meeting in a city nearby so we'll be dropping by to check up on you. I expect you to make the house look half-way decent. You shouldn't make any plans for the weekend coming because we do expect to see you this time. Your mother and I are looking forward to seeing you," the voice said and hung-up.
Kale looked over at Anthony, who had a scared look on his face. Kale felt his stomach tighten, "Everything OK?"
Anthony looked over at Kale, "I...haven't told them you're living here,"
For the first time Kale felt fear gripping at him again. The thought of being kicked out ran through his mind. Before he could say anything though the bear was speaking.
"Don't worry...you aren't going anywhere. I won't let them do anything,"
"I'm sorry..." Kale said, and felt guilt running through him.
"Don't be...I'll take care of this,"
"That's what I mean..." Kale said, looking down at the floor.
"Don't worry; I can take care of it,"
Kale growled, "That's what I mean!" he yelled at the bear. He felt ashamed for it but continued anyway, "I'm a charity case! I've done nothing but take up space! I'm pathetic! I hate it that you have to take care of me...That I'm defenseless!"
Anthony stared at the husky, not sure how to react. It was the first time Kale had yelled in two weeks, just another reminder that he was still hurt. Anthony moved forward, "Kale...y-" he began but the husky stopped him.
"Stop it! I know it's true! The school knows it's true!" he said, throwing his arms out as if to emphasize it. "I'm a charity case!"
"You're not," Anthony said, not sure what else to do.
Kale growled and felt tears welling up in his eyes. "I am! I don't have anything to call my own! My family abandoned me, the only one who ever even cared about me is dead, and I..." Kale was yelling but it was choked out by his tears.
Anthony moved forward again. He hugged Kale tightly, to be there for him just as much as to stop him from moving. He looked at Kale who was trying to get away.
Kale stopped, and looked at Anthony. Something about the bear made his anger go away, and the shame come in waves. He hated that he couldn't control his emotions at times. It made him feel weak. He felt tears streaming down his muzzle. He looked up at Anthony.
"Kale...you aren't alone. I'm here, and I care for you...I-" Anthony said and took a breath, "I love you,"
Kale didn't know how to respond. Instead of being happy he only felt more tears coming. He buried his head in the bear's chest and began to sob.
Anthony held onto Kale, letting him lean on him. He stroked the husky's head, trying to mollify him. "I'm sorry," he said continually into the husky's ear.
After his tears finally stopped he looked up at Anthony, "...I'm sorry...I just..." he found himself saying.
"It's OK...I get it," Anthony said and lightly kissed the husky, "But Kale; you aren't a charity case. You live with me because I want you to, not because I see someone who needs help. And Kale, I love you so I'm going to take care of you,"
Kale's eyes widened at the words. The bear had never said them before. "Anthony...you-"
"I love you," Anthony repeated. He meant the words, or at least he was pretty sure he did. He knew he liked Kale, a lot more than he did anyone else, that the husky made him happy. It wasn't just himself either, he wanted to make Kale happy too, and he wanted to see Kale with a smile.
Kale stared at the bear, taken back by the words. He didn't know how to react to them. His mind ran through things to say, saying the same thing back, crying more, anything. "You...can't mean that...I'm..."
"I mean every word. Kale..." Anthony said, wanting to get the husky's attention.
Kale looked up at Anthony, "Why?"
Anthony frowned at the husky, "Because you make me happy...because I feel like everything is OK when I'm around you...because you're strong...because you're kind...because you make me want to make you smile,"
"I...I'm sorry...I can't,"
"Can't what?" Anthony asked.
"I can't say it back," Kale said, now just crying steadily and sniffing to stop his nose from running. He felt the bear's chest vibrate from what he thought was a growl and was just as surprised when a laugh came from the bear.
"Kale, I don't want you to say it back because I said it," Anthony said with a laugh. "When or if, you ever say it I want it to be because you feel the same. I'm saying it now because I love you...it's as simply complex as that,"
Kale thought the bear's word choice was perfect. It was just an emotion, but one that he didn't know anything about. He knew he liked Anthony, but couldn't say that he loved the bear. He buried his head into the bear's chest for a few minutes, trying to regain his composure. He felt Anthony carrying him, and then realized that they were lying down, he was lying on top of the bear's chest. He nestled as close to the bear as he could, and felt the bear's paws rubbing him.
Anthony held the husky for as long as he needed to. He wanted to soothe Kale, to make him better. He thought about the words he had spoken and what they meant, that it was something he wasn't sure he'd ever said before. He guessed he loved Taylor, but just as a pseudo parent. Besides that he wasn't sure he loved anyone; not his parents, not anyone in his family, not anyone in school, not a single person-just Kale. The feeling that coursed through him that the husky made him feel was different, it wasn't bad, it made him feel happy, that he was on fire on the inside. He realized that Kale had stopped crying after awhile but continued to pet him.
Kale lay there, now enjoying the bear's warmth and presence. He thought about what the bear said too. Besides his grandfather he wasn't sure anyone had ever said that, and coming from someone who wasn't family it was totally different. It felt nice and warm, like the bear soothed his pain. Kale thought about his own feelings for the bear, he liked Anthony-a lot. But love? He wasn't sure; he understood he was still too insecure to say it, that if he did it would just be out of fear or some other piety emotion. He didn't know what it was like to love someone else, and thought that, for himself, it was too soon to try and say it. He rubbed the bear's chest lightly, more out of the want to feel the bear than for the bear. He felt the bear vibrate, but it wasn't from his chest, it was from his stomach.
Anthony looked away, he could feel the husky's stare, and could also feel all the blood running into his face. He felt Kale's paws run to his stomach and rub it, and the husky chuckling lightly.
"Come-on...I'm hungry...and I think you are too," Kale said, chuckling at the bear, whose face looked red even under the white fur. He leaned forward and kissed the bear on the lips and then pulled back, "Thanks...," he began and leaned forward more, now nuzzling the bear, "thank you,"
Anthony looked back at Kale, the husky nuzzling him, and he returned it almost subconsciously. He didn't say anything though; pretty sure there was nothing he could say to enhance the moment. After a moment the feelings passed and Kale pulled away and smiled at him.
Kale smiled and rubbed the bear's stomach again, "Let's go eat...the pizzas shouldn't get cold,"
Anthony felt a bit sad that the husky rolled off him, but got up and followed him, smiling. He felt happy at the words he had said, felt the happiest he had in quite some time. Anthony grabbed glasses and plates and set them on top of the pizzas. He picked up the boxes and moved to the couch, Kale coming with soda. He sat down and the husky landed with a plop next to him. Anthony frowned, "Now the sodas gonna be all shaken up," he said.
Kale smiled, "Yeah...which is why you're opening it," he said and handed the bottle to Anthony. He began to undo his boot, it was annoying to wear all the time, and he didn't need it when sitting down.
Anthony grimaced and opened it slowly, waiting each time for the fizz to go down. When he finally opened it he looked over at Kale who was watching him with a smile, and had his glass held out for him. Anthony chuckled and poured the glass, then poured his own. They opened the boxes and both began to eat, Anthony turned on the TV as they ate, returning to the show they had been watching. As they ate and watched TV Anthony noticed Kale slowly moved towards him, and felt a small smile on his muzzle. Kale wasn't too subtle, but it didn't seem like he was trying to make it obvious either, just moving every few moments. Soon they were sitting next to each other, no more space between them. Anthony felt Kale leaning on him as they ate, neither of them speaking, instead their attention on the TV.
Kale let out a quiet sigh. He was full, and he was glad he felt better too, his emotions calming more. He wondered if how close he was to the bear was OK, and guessed that since Anthony didn't say anything that it was OK. Once the bear finished eating he leaned back. Kale put down his plate and leaned his head on the bear's shoulder, resting it there. After a moment he brought his feet up with him and was soon lying with his head on Anthony's chest, the bear gently stroking his head.
Time passed slowly, but it seemed all too soon when night came. Anthony looked down at the husky in his arms, asleep and gently nestling to him in increments. He smiled and decided to not wake the husky, instead picking him up. He carried Kale in his arms and moved to the elevator. He felt Kale stirring in his arms before it came though.
Kale realized he was being moved and opened his eyes sleepily. He saw Anthony and felt a small smile cover his muzzle. "Hey...what's up?" he said lightly and gently nuzzled the bear's chest. It felt nice and warm.
"Hey...I figured it was time to go to sleep,"
Kale didn't respond, closing his eyes again and nestling as close to the bear as he could. It was strange, but after he had cried and snapped again, he felt tired and drained of all his energy. After a minute he realized they were in the bear's room, and that he was being set down on the bed. He immediately found a pillow and adjusted it so that he was more comfortable. He heard Anthony going away, back down stairs and then, what seemed like a moment later he felt Anthony getting into the bed too and soon felt the bear laying next to him-pulling him closer. Kale noticed the bear was only in his underwear, the feeling of the bear's fur playing with him. He didn't think on it too much though, instead nestling closer to the bear and letting sleep come back to him.
Sleep seemed to last longer than usual. Kale woke up, Anthony still beside him. He looked over at the clock and saw it was already ten, and began to panic. Moving in the bed he turned over and began to shake the bear, "Anthony! Come-on get up, we're late!" he said as the bear groaned and pulled on him more.
Anthony pulled on the husky, "No we're not...go back to sleep," he said and tried to bring the husky back to his original position.
Kale pushed on Anthony, "Come-on, we're missing class!"
Anthony moved in the bed, "Don't worry about it. We don't have to go in today," he said with a grumble.
"What do you mean...today is a school day!"
Anthony sighed and sat up, looking at Kale. "I e-mailed in our assignments last night, and I checked the schedule...there is nothing going on today so I thought it would be nice to stay home,"
"But..." Kale began, not sure how to take the news.
"Don't worry about it...I can learn out of the book, and if you have trouble then I'll teach it to you," Anthony said and lay back down. He noticed Kale was still sitting up, no longer talking though.
Kale thought about what the bear said for a moment, and thought it sounded good. Anthony was right, they could learn everything they needed to from everything around them; the internet, their books, each other, etc. His mind went back to the night before; his breakdown, the bear's confession playing through his mind again. He knew that all this was rushing him because he was trying to redirect his energy that had come from thinking he was late. The suddenness of the memory took him by surprise. He sat there, trying to make since of his current emotions, trying to keep the dam he built from breaking.
Anthony watched as Kale sat up in the bed, staring off into space. It grew strange and Anthony thought he hurt the husky's feelings, "I'm sorry...I didn't mean that you couldn't learn whatever we miss, or that I'm smarter..."
"It's not that..."
"I didn't mean to make you upset," he replied.
"I'm not...I'm just confused,"
Anthony smiled, and pulled Kale down to the bed, this time he came down with him. He pulled him closer to him, "About what?"
Kale sighed, the torrent of emotions playing on his mind like a child banging senseless keys on a piano. He let out a sigh and nestled closer to the bear. He didn't know what to say, unsure what he was thinking to begin with. "Everything..."
Anthony pulled on the husky and kissed the top of his head. He didn't really know what to say, he had said everything he could to Kale. Over the past few weeks he had told him all that he knew about what he was going through, from a medical standpoint and from that of a friend. It seemed like the only thing he could do now was to be there for Kale, which he knew he would do.
Kale sighed, continuing the talk, "I don't know what to make of my emotions any more, not that I really ever did," he said with a small chuckle, "I think I'm happy...but I don't know if I can be. I think I'm sad, but I'm pretty sure I'm happy too...I want to be happy. I don't know what to feel...it's like everything has just stopped...like someone came and built a dam in the middle of a stream...geez that's cheesy..." he said, laughing sadly at his own illustration. He felt Anthony pull on him lightly and kiss the top of his head again.
He wanted to be happy. Sometime it made it better to talk with Anthony, to tell the bear what he thought. Besides Taylor, no one else knew how he got here, though Sarah had an idea. He nestled closer to the bear, "Anthony, I'm sorry you're wasting your time on me..."
At this Anthony felt his body tense up. He pulled on Kale, a bit forcefully, "Kale, shut-up,"
"But-"
"I told you to shut-up," Anthony said again. "I don't need you or anyone telling me if I'm spending my time in a wise manner," he said, making it seem like he was insulted by the husky, and that the words didn't hurt. They had and he wasn't sure if he wanted to show Kale that, but continued on, "And Kale, please stop saying that...I want to be with you...more than I've ever wanted anyone before. I'm not wasting my time on you, cause I want to be with you. Do you think that spending time on you is a waste? It isn't. I want to spend forever with you. I love you,"
Kale felt the bear pulling on him. It was strange, how Anthony could change his voice to sound so firm, yet when he finished talking it was back to a more gentle and kind tone. The bear made him feel better, and he was glad that Anthony said what he did. He didn't know why but whenever he was about to feel better it seemed like this tiny voice in the back of his head reminded him of how horrible he was. He moved closer to Anthony, hoping the feelings would go away if he could just be closer with the bear. For some reason the only thing that could make him feel better was the bear, Anthony was the one who had made him want to live again. After a minute passed he felt Anthony's grip lessen on him, and he let out a sigh.
Anthony heard Kale's sigh and took it as a good sign. He nuzzled the husky and tried to go back to sleep. He wanted to sleep all day, but knew it wasn't going to happen now. He still wanted to rest though, life seemed very taxing lately.
Kale nestled closer to Anthony, his mind starting to give him some peace. The idea of spending the day with Anthony at his house seemed very nice. He turned around in the bear's arms and stared at him.
"What's up?" Anthony asked, seeing the husky turn around. He was scared Kale was still upset. He nuzzled him to help relieve the feelings.
"I just realized...I guess we have all day together,"
Anthony stopped nuzzling the husky and looked up, "Yeah...we do,"
Kale smiled and kissed the bear on the lips. He slowly moved a paw the bear's chest, running his fingers through Anthony's fur.
Anthony realized what Kale meant and smiled as the husky kissed him. He began to return it slowly, and pulled Kale closer to him. He guessed that a day like this could be resting too, sort of, not that he minded. He chuckled a little and pulled the husky on top of him, beginning to run his paws up the husky's shirt. After a moment he broke the kiss, so that they could remove the shirt. Once it was off Anthony wrapped his arms around Kale and kissed him lightly. The feeling of the husky's fur was nice and soft.
Kale moaned as the bear's paws roamed his body. The feeling of the bear's paws running through his fur felt nice. His fur had grown back, all the bare spots that had covered his body now filled in. Kale was glad to say the least; it was one less reminder of everything that had happened. He was brought out of his thoughts by a tug on his fur by the bear, eliciting a quick yelp from him as he jerked-thrusting into the bear's body. He looked down at Anthony who was grinning at him
"You OK?"
Kale smiled and kissed the bear on the lips again, "I'm...getting there," he said with a chuckle.
Anthony pulled on the husky. He was glad that Kale never said he was OK, that he was always truthful with himself, it did show improvement. He returned to the kiss, Kale's own paws running over him. He felt one of the husky's paws go down the side of his body and into his briefs, rubbing his leg sensually. Anthony let out a weak moan and pulled on Kale even more. His cock was coming out of its sheath and was leaking as he rubbed against Kale, the husky's member straining beneath the pants. Anthony ran his paws down to Kale's pants and moved them inside, groping the husky.
As the bear's paws groped him Kale began to groan softly. Soon the bear's paws ran to the front of his body, but the bear didn't touch his cock. Instead Anthony began to undo his pants, fumbling with the button and then the zipper. Once the bear finished he returned to groping at the husky, not pulling down the pants. Kale felt the bear's own cock pressing against him through the bear's underwear, and began to grind against him, the motion making his pants come off little by little.
After a moment Anthony let out a low growl and broke the kiss, "Hang on," he said and pushed Kale off him. He took off his briefs, then returned his attention to the husky, pulling Kale's pants and boxers off quickly. He was careful though, making sure to not twist the husky's leg that was still healing. When he finished pulling off the husky's clothes he threw them off the bed and slowly moved back to Kale, sliding his body over the husky's. He stopped at Kale's cock and rubbed his muzzle against it before pulling back and breathing in the musk. He quickly took the still growing member into his maw, and began to gently suck on it. Anthony enjoyed the feeling of the husky's cock growing in his muzzle, eventually filling it; he enjoyed the sound of Kale's moans almost as much.
Kale put a hand on the back of Anthony's head and pushed him down a little, his cock throbbing as the bear's tongue ran on it. He could feel Anthony's paws rubbing his legs, and one paw running to his balls. The bear played with his fuzzy sack, moaning when Kale rewarded him with a thrust. Suddenly the feeling of cold air meet his cock and he felt Anthony moving on him again.
Anthony smiled at the husky as he faced him again. He felt Kale bring him into an embrace and nuzzled the husky's chest for a moment. When he stopped he looked up and kissed Kale on the lips lightly, "So...a day like this good with you Pup?" he asked with a grin.
Kale smiled at the bear and returned the gentle kiss. He ran his paws down to the bear's butt and groped it, "With you, I think any day is pretty good," The bear called him pup a few times. Kale remembered the first time the bear had called him pup, it was almost comical. Anthony had blushed more than Kale had, and Kale thought his own face had turned red. He didn't mind it, it was funny, and the way the bear said it made it sound almost playful at times. He had noticed that Anthony was starting to call him that much more often; though he didn't mind.
Anthony planted his muzzle on the husky, and let out a happy growl, vibrations from his chest running through them both. He explored the husky's muzzle, his tongue running over Kale's and playing with it. They kissed each other deeply, exploring each other as the fast pace drove them. He felt Kale's cock rubbing above his own, the tip of his own cock rubbing at the base of Kale's, rubbing his cock against the husky. The feeling of the husky's paws roaming his body made the growl continuous, stopping and continuing in segments. When Kale's paws groped his ass he let out a groan of pleasure, making him increase his efforts. After a moment the kiss slowed down and Kale's paws stayed where they were, and the husky began to pull on his fur, eliciting a long moan from the bear.
Kale pulled from the kiss a bit and then returned to it, teasing the bear. He could taste himself on the bear. The feeling of the bear's fur rubbing against his cock made him thrust onto Anthony, making his fur and the bear's become slick and matted with his pre. The bear had adjusted his own cock, pushing it in-between Kale's legs, rubbing against his sack and just below his hole. Kale moved up and lifted his hips a bit, and let out a yelp of surprise when Anthony lifted him up more than he had planned. The bear pushed him up, his legs resting on the bear's shoulders now, and his hole exposed the bear. His tail swished across Anthony's balls, Kale trying his best to not rush. He had known as soon as the kiss started where it would lead, or at least he had hoped. Over the past few weeks their roles had been basically been established, he would usually submit to the bear. It wasn't because Anthony was bigger, or because he felt like the bear was better; it was just how things ended up. He didn't mind, he was surprised to find that he enjoyed the feeling of the bear in him, surprised he liked it as much as he did. Kale couldn't say he was honest if he didn't like the bear topping him, he didn't know how to describe it other than the fact that he loved it, and was pretty sure Anthony did too. Kale guessed that he just liked to 'bottom' for the bear.
Anthony pulled away from the kiss, getting up on his knees. He was still careful with Kale's leg, making sure that it wasn't being twisted or anything. He leaned over and grabbed a bottle of lube from the nightstand, and put some on his paw. He stroked his cock, making sure it was well lubed before pushing against Kale again, who momentarily tensed up. Anthony stopped and looked at Kale, waiting for a sign to continue. When he saw Kale nod lightly he pushed against him slowly, his tip sliding into the husky below him.
Kale gritted his teeth, and tried to relax. He felt the bear stop and wait for him again, like he always did. After a moment Kale felt himself become more relaxed and nodded again for the bear to continue, the process repeating twice more. Soon the felt the bear's balls resting on him, a sigh escaping Anthony. Kale felt the bear move and was surprised when he felt the bear kissing him lightly, and pulling away just as quickly. Kale moved his legs down, wrapping them around the bear's waist instead of them resting on his shoulders-allowing the bear to lean down and kiss him, which Anthony quickly took the privilege of doing.
Anthony tried not to move much, letting Kale adjust to him, and gently kissed the husky. He felt Kale's arms wrap around him and pull him down, bringing him into a deeper kiss. Anthony let out a moan and was eager to match the husky's own enthusiasm. After a bit he felt Kale relax, finally losing the tenseness in his movements. Anthony pulled from the kiss. He stared at Kale, their noses touching, "Ready Pup?" he asked and kissed Kale again.
Kale let go of Anthony so the bear could move more. When Anthony broke the kiss he looked up at the bear, and gave a nod. At that he felt the bear pull out of him slowly, making him grit his teeth, and then he pushed back in. The burning sensation lasted and after the first thrust Anthony stopped, and looked down at Kale. Kale felt Anthony lean down and nuzzle him lightly, and begin to pull out again. Kale returned the motion, and relaxed as best as he could. When the bear thrusted back into him he felt the bear's cock hit and rub against his prostate, the mix of pain and pleasure making him gasp. Slowly the pain went away and with each motion Kale felt a current of pleasure run through him. He stopped gritting his teeth and instead his mouth was open a bit and he was breathing deeply, moaning as the bear hit his prostate with each thrust. He stopped gripping the bear out of pain and began to pull on him out of want.
Anthony pulled out of Kale until only his tip was left then pushed back in, Kale letting out an appreciative moan as he did. He then gave a quick thrust into the husky and heard Kale give a whimpering moan, and took that as the cue to stray from the regular thrusts. He pulled out to the tip and then pushed back in, quickly, causing Kale's moan to quicken also. He began to thrust into Kale quickly, leaning down, he felt Kale lean up to him and pulling on him-like an embrace. He heard Kale grunting, but it wasn't the same, it was like a pain. Anthony stopped and looked down at the husky, scared he had hurt him somehow.
Kale felt his leg throbbing, it was still painful for it to move. He hadn't expected the healing to take this long, but it wasn't just a broken bone. The tissue was severally damaged when the car had hit him; it hit hard enough to cause the bone to cut some of the tissue. He looked up at Anthony who was looking down at him, concerned, and felt a pang of guilt run through him, not sure why though. "I'm sorry...it's...my leg," Kale said and looked away.
Anthony frowned and gently kissed the husky, "No...I'm sorry...it was my fault. Are you OK?"
Kale nuzzled the bear's chest fur; "I'm fine...umm...." he began, like he had when he first met the bear.
Anthony chuckled and moved an arm under the wolf's shoulder and cupped his head with his paw. He smiled at Kale, and kissed him lightly again. He felt closer to the husky; felt like he could tell what was on his mind sometimes, like now. "I'll be gentle,"
Kale felt his face flush a little, but was glad to hear the words. He didn't know how to respond, so he leaned up and licked the bear's nose affectionately, to which Anthony's smile turned to a wide grin, and Kale felt his face flush even more. He felt Anthony pull him closer and slowly pull out and just as slowly push back in, the pace was slow and gentle. There was nothing lost though, every motion still elicited a moan from the other, a chorus made. The feeling of the bear's cock rubbing slowly, almost teasingly, over his prostate made Kale's moans begin to turn to light whimpers. His cock was leaking a stream of pre that was puddling on his stomach, the feeling of the bear in him sending electrical pulses of pleasure throughout his body. The pulses seemed to be strongest at his own cock though, twitching and straining for any direct stimulation, and still being set off by the indirect stimulation.
Anthony's own voice was that of a consistent moan, with a low growl of pleasure hidden in it. He felt the canine's warm passage clenching down on his member, and the husky's paws gripping at his back as Kale whimpered in delight. It felt nice, the pace. The constant feeling on his cock made him feel dizzy with pleasure and he could feel his cock twitching as more and more pre leaked out of it. He began to nuzzle Kale as he mated with the husky, his eyes half-way closed in pleasure. Anthony could feel the husky's cock brushing against his fur every once in awhile, and Kale thrusting at him at the touch. He felt Kale begin to try and push and pull himself on his cock, Kale's moaning growing in volume. Their breathes began to match up, each one panting and breathing less and less deeply. Anthony felt his orgasm approaching, and his thrust became more deliberate, slowly yet firm.
Kale pulled more on Anthony at the feeling and began to rock himself as best he could on the cock, trying to get off on just the feeling of the bear's cock hitting and rubbing his prostate. It felt different than usual. The slow pace made it seem much more intense, like it was just a steady stream building up at a dam. Soon each time the bear's cock rubbed along his prostate or hit it, he began to shudder; the electric pulses more violent and intense. Kale looked up at Anthony and could tell the bear was close too. He pulled on Anthony more. His moans became low and cut off as his orgasm began to wash over him. He began to buck into the air, riding the bear a small bit as he did, and felt his passage clamping down on the bear, who let out a chocked grunt. He felt Anthony begin to buck into him, the slow pace broken as both of their orgasms ran through them. Kale was grateful for the bear's bucking into him, enhancing the feeling of his orgasm as the bear pounded his prostate for a short while.
Anthony felt his cock pulse rapidly as he emptied himself into the husky below him. He bucked into Kale through a series of grunts, and pumped into the husky even after he had stopped shooting. His pace slowed and soon he was lazily thrusting into Kale, and finally plopped down onto him. He could feel the husky's cum matting his chest and Kale's together, and could feel and hear the husky's breathes on his face as Kale panted.
Kale let out a low whine and rubbed his cock against the bear's fur, twitching more as the rest of his cum was coaxed out. After a moment they both relaxed more, and Kale let out another whine as the bear pulled out of him. The sudden empty feeling always made him feel a bit strange, but it quickly went away. He felt Anthony begin to kiss at his neck, biting and nipping at him, while he ran his paws down his sides and up. The suddenness of the action took him by surprise and made him let out a gasp, and he pulled on the bear.
Anthony moved up the husky's neck and kissed the side of his muzzle a few times before stopping, and moving down the husky's body quickly. He quickly took Kale's softening cock into his muzzle and heard Kale nearly yelp in surprise. The taste of the husky's cum was great and Anthony increased in his efforts, coaxing out anything that was left. He made sure to cover every part of Kale's cock he could, Kale gasping above him as he moaned around the cock. After he finished he pulled away and moved back up the husky, their noses touching. He could feel the husky's breathes hitting his face, breathing in Kale's breathes. The smile on Kale's face was nice, and Anthony felt a smile of his own stuck on his muzzle. He was surprised when Kale leaned forward, and pulled him down at the same time, bringing him into a deep kiss. His surprise was quickly washed away by a moan though, and he began to return the kiss just as affectionately.
The kiss was quick and deep at first, both trying to be as close to the other as physically possible. After a minute it diminished though, and they began to kiss each other more lightly, but it still had the same emotion. It was like a river, the white waters and the clear waters both have some fun to them. At the moment Anthony was pulling on Kale lightly, his tongue running over Kale's that was lightly pushing on his own. Anthony heard a whimper, but was surprised when he realized it wasn't from Kale, but from himself. It wasn't something he did often; much less something he did involuntarily. He pushed it out of his mind though, the kiss quickly taking back over for him; he wrapped his arms more tightly around Kale and rolled over, bringing Kale with him, and setting the husky on top of him. He leaned back and relaxed into the bed.
Kale felt it was his turn to push on the bear, taking control of the kiss. As the bear's tongue retreated out of his muzzle he followed it. It always seemed weird, how different they were, in size at least. Anthony was much larger than him, though not so much that it was strange, just enough to where it was comfortably fit. Kale didn't say it, fearing the bear would take it the wrong way, but he loved how Anthony's body was, how it moved on his own. The bear's tongue always made him shudder; the size difference seemed the strangest. Kale liked it though; something about it made the kiss more fun to him. He began to pull away form the kiss, and almost broke it, only their lips still touching. He moved his muzzle, changing his angle and pushed back down on Anthony, and did this a few more times-the kisses being light and thankful. He could hear the bear's moans and felt the bear's paws grabbing at his fur.
After a few minutes the kiss broke, and the two stared at each other again. Anthony smiled at the husky and licked his nose. He wanted to tell Kale that he loved him again, but saying it just after sex seemed like it would diminish it, at least as they were now. Instead he hugged Kale tighter against him and brought a paw from Kale's back. He lightly stroked Kale's muzzle, petting him gently and affectionately, to which Kale began to nuzzle against his paw.
Kale enjoyed the feeling of the bear petting him, and after a moment relaxed his head, staring at Anthony with his head on the bear's chest. He returned the smile the bear was giving him; everything felt peaceful. He ran his paws up and down the sides of Anthony, running his fingers through the bear's fur. He heard the bear let out a sigh, and felt himself sinking with the bear's breathe. Looking up at Anthony he smiled lightly and leaned forward kissing the bear lightly-their lips barely touching.
The lay like that for a moment, and then Anthony felt the husky pull away. They both stared at each other for a minute, enjoying the silence and closeness. After a moment Anthony let out a long yawn, and Kale rolled off of him. He wrapped an arm around the husky and pulled him closer. He kissed Kale lightly on the head and nuzzled him. The thought of spending the day like this seemed great. He yawned again and soon found himself drifting off to sleep.
Kale thought it was funny that the bear was asleep right after having sex, and chuckled a little. He felt Anthony pull on him and he stopped, not wanting to disturb the bear. He was glad to be as close as he was with the bear, and felt OK at the moment. His emotions seemed to be more settled. He thought about how he felt for the bear, every emotion was one of gratitude and longing. He wanted Anthony, not because he thought the bear could 'heal' him, but because Anthony made him happy. The bear made him 'feel funny', that was the best way he could describe it. It wasn't a bad feeling, it was nice-warm. He wondered how long the bear would sleep, hoping it wasn't all day. He decided to not think about it, instead catching up on sleep himself.
Anthony woke up another time, something lightly brushing against his lips. He opened his eyes groggily and saw Kale. The husky was gently kissing him repetitively, and rubbing his stomach. Anthony rolled over onto the husky, making Kale stop and opened one eye to stare at him, "What are you doing?"
Kale licked the bear and smiled, "I guess I'm kissing you..." he replied and kissed the bear again on the lips.
Anthony continued his stare at the husky. He had to admit, that out of all the ways he had ever had to wake up, this was his favorite-but it was still waking up. He grunted and rolled back over, resting his head on a pillow. He felt Kale return to rubbing his stomach and kissing him. Anthony realized that the husky wasn't going to let him go back to sleep, and in truth he felt well rested anyway. He pushed on Kale and mumbled lightly, still half asleep, but the husky continued. After a moment Anthony felt the husky trying to tickle him, and sadly-it worked. He began to laugh, but only for a moment as Kale took the opportunity to plant their muzzles together. He still chuckled lightly even as he kissed the husky; Kale's attitude was very enthusiastic. Anthony found it quickly rubbed off on him, both of them moaning and pulling on one another.
Kale teased the bear, pulling on him and wrestling the bear's tongue with his own. The feeling of Anthony's chest rumbling was strange, it made the bear's muzzle seem vibrate too, and Kale enjoyed the feeling. He pulled away from Anthony and smiled at the bear, "Are you awake now?"
Anthony rolled over again, putting the husky beneath him; "Not quite...I think I need a bit more...persuading..." he said with a smile.
Kale chuckled and leaned forward, kissing Anthony again, and pulling him into a tight embrace. He rubbed against the bear, his member filling in his sheath again, and feeling the tip of the bear's own cock against his. The feeling of the bear's fur was nice and he gently pulled on it, making Anthony growl playfully in response. When the bear pulled away Kale continued to kiss him along his neck, gently biting and nipping at the bear. He felt the bear's paws rubbing him and lifting him lightly, and Kale lifted his hips in response. He looked up at the bear who was smiling at him.
"Again?" Anthony asked and kissed Kale quickly, both letting their desires for the other show in their eyes.
********
Kale moved slowly throughout the house, he was glad to be able to walk at least, and found that he liked the boot. It gave him more freedom. His fur was still a bit damp, they had just gotten out of the shower; which they extended for another round with one another. Kale felt a content smile on his muzzle. He moved down the hall slowly, taking his time and eyeing the bear in front of him still. Anthony wore a pair of black briefs but had on wind pants over them. Kale was wearing a pair of boxer briefs; he never went around naked, and neither did Anthony, but the bear always had on at least wind pants. They went into the kitchen and Kale sat down in a chair. He watched as the bear moved around and he looked over at the clock, it was already half-past one. "Geez...the day passes too quickly when you're not in school," he said with a chuckle, and felt the bear's arms wrap around him from behind.
"I don't know...we've spent a lot of time today...but I wouldn't mind a few days of this..." Anthony said and kissed Kale on the top of his head. He rubbed the husky's fur and let out a playful growl.
Kale chuckled lightly and nuzzled the bear. He leaned his head back, looking up to the ceiling, and stared at the bear. Anthony looked down and leaned forward, pressing his lips against Kale's. The kiss was brief this time and Kale pulled away after a moment. He smiled at the bear, "Be careful or I may hold you to that..."
Anthony growled lightly again, "I hope you do Pup," he replied. He kissed Kale lightly once more and then pulled away. He walked over to the refrigerator, "So...what do you want to eat?"
"You decide,"
"We have some...noodles and sauce...or that's what I think it is..."
"Was that a question or a suggestion?" Kale asked with a chuckle, "Heat it up and lets see,"
Anthony laughed and agreed. After it was heated he found he was right. The container held some noodles and alfredo sauce. Anthony put it onto two plates and sat down at the table. He watched as Kale poked the food, and he did the same. He took a bite and found that it was good. He looked up at Kale who was eating now too. He chuckled lightly; "You want to know something?" he asked then continued, "I don't remember cooking this..."
Kale swallowed what he had in his mouth and laughed, "Well I didn't...hopefully it won't kill us," he replied.
Anthony laughed too and they resumed eating. It was good, and when they finished he quickly set the dishes in a dishwasher. He knew he would need to wash them soon, and he looked around the kitchen and the house. It wasn't that bad off. It wasn't clean, but by no means was it dirty. The biggest problem was papers and texts that were scattered over the entire floor. He didn't want to put them up either, the reason there were so many was because he used them all. The thought of cleaning the house made him grimace. He lost his thoughts when he heard a crash. He felt his heart rate begin to race, "Kale?" he yelled.
"I'm in here," Kale replied, the voice coming from the other room.
Anthony walked and found the husky laying on the floor. Anthony leaned down and helped the husky up, "You OK? What happened?"
Kale laughed lightly, he had fallen before. It was almost common now. He took hold of the bear's paw as he was pulled up, "I'm fine...same thing as usual," he replied and leaned on Anthony.
"Sorry...I'll clean the place eventually,"
Kale smiled, "I think I've contributed to the mess quite a bit...but you have to clean for your parents?" he asked. They moved to the couch and sat down, Kale rubbed his leg, trying to make some of the pain from falling go away.
"Yeah...of course they may not even show,"
"Well, your dad said they'd be in next week right?"
"I think so..." Anthony replied, his thoughts going somewhere else.
"Do I need to get out when they come?" Kale asked.
The question took Anthony by surprise. He looked over at the husky, "No, you are not going to leave," he said firmly. After he said it he looked surprised, he didn't even realize it. He didn't want to be with his parents alone, or for Kale to be alone-the later more so. It didn't matter to him if his parents didn't want Kale living here. Anthony wrapped an arm around Kale and pulled him closer, "I don't care what they think...you're not going anywhere. Got it?"
Kale looked at the bear and forced a small smile, "Are they going to be OK with that?"
Anthony chuckled lightly, "Well...I told you we never saw eye to eye right?" he asked with a grin. "This probably won't be too different..."
