#3 of Black Death

The official, first chapter. From here the series will switch between third person and first person views from different characters.

3 Years after the Lab Fire

"Are you sure this is their hideout Babe?" a young bunny asked his partner and mate next to him. They were currently on the roof of an old, abandoned warehouse. They were on a mission requested by the town's mayor for help in dealing with a small gang lead by a Super that had been causing trouble lately, and were too much for the local police to deal with alone.

"Yeah, Hun, I'm sure! Are you ready for our first big mission?" the bunny's mate, a snow leopard, said in response.

"Yep, this is gonna be awesome!" the bunny replied, already opening the sunroof so the two of them could jump down.

"Alright. We'll drop on my mark. 3...2...on" but before the feline could even finish his countdown but males were hit from behind and knocked unconscious.

"Ugh... my head! What happened to us?" the young snow leopard finally began to wake up. Once his head stopped throbbing enough, the feline began to groggily look around. The first thing he noticed was his mate right next to him, which caused him to relax a little. However, even having his precious bunny next to him couldn't help remove the fear that fell upon him once he noticed what surrounded him and his bunny.

Oh, no! Chains made of anti-super crystal! the feline began to struggle against his bindings, which caused his mate to also awaken and both of them began to worry at that point.

"Well, looks like our two guests finally woke up." A voice said from the darkness surrounding the two bound males.

"Who are you? Where are you?" the feline said, somewhat scared but trying to remain calm in front of his frightened mate.

At his words, the lights slowly flickered on, one-by-one until a large portion of the warehouse was illuminated. Surrounding the helpless males was not a gang as small as they had thought. Instead, most of the space that was in the light was filled by males and females going about their business; drinking, playing cards, laughing, or what seemed to be the most popular at the moment, starring right at their two bound guests.

"Would you two like to know what me and my gang here like to do to those that try and mess with our fun?" a large, intimidating tiger said. He was wearing clothing typical of a biker, leather jacket and pants, blood red bandanna, and more piercings than could be counted. The feline judged by the way he said that that he was the gang's leader and the Super they were after. Unfortunately, with the chains holding them on, the two teens were helpless to defend themselves, much less defeat the tiger whose power was a mystery to them. All they could do was hope they would somehow survive this encounter.

"First, we tie them up. Obviously we've already done that" this got some laughs from the gang members. "Then, once their helpless like you two are now we all take turns beating the shit out of them" this one got even more laughs from the gang and made the fear in both the chained males grow. "After we've had our fun doing that, we'll usually take a vote on how to kill them."

Kill. That one word was enough to cause their hearts to drop. "Now, let's start this shall we?" The two males could do nothing but whimper and cry out as they were set upon by the gang. They were beaten and cut repeatedly by nearly every member of the gang. Once everyone had at least one turn at the two, the bunny was already unconscious and bleeding while the snow leopard was barely awake as the tiger walked up to them. He was wearing an evil-looking grin on his muzzle before his spoke.

"Well now, I think that's been a fun way of relieving some pent-up tension. Now I'm afraid comes the part where we take our vote. Alright boys, who's got any ideas on how best to teach both these two and this town that we runs things now?"

"Let's skin 'em alive!"

"Burn 'em in front of the mayor's office!"

"Cut them in little tiny bits and scatter them across town"

"Yeah, and take their skulls and put them on display in front of everyone"

"I think you should let them go before you all end up even worse than them." A deep, calm, and serious male voice said. Immediately all eyes went to the hanger door, where a single canine stood, half in the darkness and half in moonlight. The feline could barely make him out but he knew from the voice alone that it was not someone from the police since he had talked to all of them before the two of them came here.

"Who the hell do you think you are mutt? Coming in on my turf, alone no less, and ordering me, a Super, around." The tiger spat, irritated that someone else had come along.

"It doesn't matter who I am, where we're at, or what you are. All I'm saying it that if you don't let those two go, every one of you will end up in either the E.R. or the morgue. So, I'd think carefully if I were you." the canine spoke evenly, as if the large gang was nothing. This only caused the tiger's anger to boil.

"If that's how you want it then fine! I'll show you how big of a mistake you've just made by crossing me. Get'em boys!"

As soon as the tiger said that, the entire gang pulled their respective weapons and faced the intruder. Even with an assortment of guns, blades, claws, and fangs all trained on him, the canine didn't seem fazed. In fact, he stepped forward into the warehouse, being revealed by the overhead lights. The snow leopard was too out of it to see any distinctive traits, other than his savior's height and grey fur. But what really got him, even through the pain and inability to focus, were the wings. This odd canine, which he believed was a wolf, had wings, beautiful, dark grey wings.

"The hell? Wings? Just what the fuck are you?"

"I told you all before. It doesn't matter."

"You're right, cause you about to be dead." With that said, the gang converged on the wolf.

Both felines couldn't believe their eyes. Even with the gang's size, weapons, and blood thirst, the wolf was dominating them all. No one could touch him. If someone got close to strike, the wolf simply dodged or attacked before they could. Not even the storm of bullets seemed to do anything against the wolf, who dodged them as if they were in slow motion. In a brief span of time, the warehouse was littered with the bodies of groaning or unconscious people.

Enraged, the tiger charged the mysterious canine. He then revealed what his power was, generating fast-moving wind around himself and converging it towards his fists. A wind manipulator! There's no way me or Snow could have taken that tiger, but maybe that wolf can, I hope! the snow leopard, Cecil, thought as he watched the fight through hazy eyes.

The tiger had better luck than the rest of his gang. Using the wind around his fists to increase the range of his punches and sending the wind out as sharp blades, he was able to cut the wolf, though they were mostly shallow wounds. This guy looks like a Gamma-class just like me and Snow. I hope this guy is just as good! Cecil thought to himself.

"Haha! How to you like my Wind Blade Fist, huh, wolf?" the tiger yelled at his opponent. The only reply he got was a somewhat angry grunt before he was hit hard in the stomach and send flying backwards. The punch caused the tiger to land right beside Cecil. The tiger groaned as he sat up, rubbing his gut.

"Look, I'll say this once, and only once. If you release those two and give up now, I'll stop. Otherwise, you might end up drinking next month's meals through a straw. Oh, and just so you know tiger, I'm not a wolf." the canine said flatly and without so much as a huff for breath, as if he hadn't been fighting at all.

"Do you really think I'll just give up like that? No! I am going to kill you. And once you're dead, these two will follow shortly." The tiger yelled back, full of rage at his opponent for even suggesting he should give up.

"Very well, looks like I have to use force then." the canine stated before he simply disappeared. What the hell? He's... He's gone! Just gone! both Cecil and the tiger thought. No sooner had that thought crossed their minds before the tiger collapsed, knocked unconscious by a blow to the back of his neck from the canine who reappeared just behind him.

Once he was sure that the tiger was out, the canine walked over to and then kneeled down towards the two bound males before him.

"You two are safe now. Don't worry, I'll get you back to normal before you know it. But, first I want you to rest up." That and the sight of the canine's shining eyes were the last things Cecil remembered before he slipped into unconsciousness.
