#2 of Jake

Decisions to be made. Written 2008.

The next day, Jake was still quiet, deep in thought as he went through the motions of his day. On the way home with his friends, they noticed.

"What's with you, man?"

"I know what's with him. He finally got some and liked it," Ed elbowed Jake's side.

"That looked like it was good, man."

"It was," Jake scuffed his feet.

"I'm thinking I should get me some of that," Ed pondered, "What do you think?"

"Who gets it this time, man?"

"I get the next one," Ed decreed.

"Man, I want some pussy."

"Speaking of pussy, how about that one?" Ed slowed the car as they passed a feline walking with a girl. She was wearing a tight top and carrying her tail high enough to lift her short skirt. "Looks to me like she's just begging for some."

"Oh yeah, I could go for that."

Ed drove to the corner and stopped, watching the cat girl walk towards them, "Anybody got a plan?"

"Your place worked great last time."

"No, my mom is home tonight. How about you, Matt?"

"If we can finish before my dad gets home, we're good, man."

"Now we just need to get her there."

"Hey mate, I know her. She goes to some prissy private school. I saw her at the debate challenge last month."

"Yeah?"

"They stuck her with arguing for the proposed declaw/defanging of all hybrids."

"Man, that musta pissed her off."

"She handled it pretty well. She even won the argument. Though, I, er, her opponent didn't try very hard. He thought it was an easy win."

"So, how do we get her, Ral?" Ed was impatient as the cat girl passed the car.

"I'll take care of it," Ral said as he got out of the car and followed her.

"Didn't I see you at the debate last month?"

The cat girl turned to look at the boy addressing her.

Ral continued, "Yeah. You had to argue for the declaw/defang proposal. You did a good job there."

"Thanks," she puzzled as she looked at him. "Were you the kid countering me on that?"

"Uh, yeah. Like the mediator said at the end, I was expecting an easy win and didn't put much effort in. You surprised me. It's not easy arguing against your beliefs"

"You should always give your all in a debate."

"I usually do. Hey, can I buy you a drink to make up for it?"

"I don't drink."

"Everybody drinks something."

"Touché."

"Would it be too cliché if I offered you some milk?"

"I like milk, but I'll take mine as a shake."

"Now you're talking," Ral offered his hand and she cautiously took it; then followed with a giggle as he hurried to the car.

"Alright mates, we're going for milkshakes." Ral declared as he let the cat climb in the back seat.

"Where to?" Ed asked.

"Matt's is open, right, mate?" Ral hinted as he sat down beside the cat and closed the door.

"Gotcha," Ed headed down the street.

"So mates, this is," Ral looked at the cat.

"Oh," she giggled. "Lisa. I go to Cartham Morph Acadamy."

"I'm Jake," the young man offered his hand to the cat beside him and she took it with a smile.

Matt turned around from the front seat, "Why do morphs need their own school?"

Lisa smiled, always ready for this question, "The school was originally part of the research center that developed hybrids. When morphs became more common, the school remained in an attempt to avoid conflicts from mixing hybrid children with the children of humans that objected to hybrids; essentially to protect us from harassment. Now, the school is open to all species, even humans. It is a place for anyone that wants to learn about hybrids."

"So, its not just a private school for morphs?" Jake asked.

"Not at all. Since registration was opened to all a few years ago, there have been hundreds of humans attending. My class is currently about 25% human."

"If you've got your own school, why do you need to put morphs in our schools?" Matt snapped.

"Like I said, CMA is no longer exclusively for morphs. More importantly, hybrid children need to mingle with the humans that they will share their futures with. Not only to learn how to interact with each other, but so humans and hybrids alike can be familiar with each other and not be afraid. The war was bad for all of us and I admire the children that face the social fallout it left behind."

"You really know a lot about it," Jake said.

"I find the history of hybrids fascinating. From the creation of the first hybrids in order to find cures for human diseases by trying to apply animal immunities; to the war that came from religious fears of the unknown; to current social conflicts that mirror other historical issues; to how the different animal anatomies blend with human genetics; it's all amazing to me."

"Yeah, I'm interested in studying how your anatomy blends, too." Matt sneered.

"Well, that's good," Lisa smiled. "There's always a need for doctors that understand morph anatomy."

"You mean veterinarians," Ed smirked.

"That's actually a topic under debate. Many people believe veterinarians are more qualified because of their understanding of many different species. However, others say they don't have the advanced study required for the intricacies of human anatomy. There are already courses of study for hybrid medicine, but some human doctors don't want to be associated with it and want a new term to distinguish the difference."

"Well, the debate will have to wait," Ed interrupted. "We're here."

"What's this?" Lisa asked, perplexed. "It looks like someone's house."

"Yeah. Its Matt's place," Ral got out of the car and offered to help the cat out. "He's got everything we need for the best shakes."

She nervously agreed and followed the boys inside.

Matt unlocked the door and hurried in to make sure the house was empty, while the other boys led the cat to the kitchen. Ed and Ral perched on stools around the island counter while Jake leaned against the door frame.

Matt came back and announced, "Nobody here. Its just us."

Ed smiled, "Nobody to interrupt our shakes, then. Right?"

Lisa started to sit on the third stool, but Ed spoke up, "No, that's Jake's seat. You can have the seat of honor." He patted the countertop and smiled.

Lisa shrugged and hopped up on the counter, holding her tail in her lap.

"Well, everybody's here. Let's get this party started." Ed got up from his seat and moved in front of Lisa; then turned suddenly to face her. "So," he placed his hands hard on the counter on either side of her legs and leaned in, looking directly in her eyes.

The cat leaned back and looked at the boy nervously.

Ed smiled, "What kind of shakes do you like?"

Lisa smiled and sighed with a laugh, putting her paws behind her to lean on, "I like a lot of different things. What do you have? Surprise me."

Ed smiled deviously and looked to Matt and Ral on either side of the counter, discretely pointing to her paws. Matt and Ral looked at each other and smiled. Ed looked back into her eyes, "You're a very smart pussy; curious about many things. I'm curious about some things, too." He gestured quickly with his fingers and put his hands on her knees. Matt and Ral grabbed her wrists and pulled them to the other end of the counter, stretching her flat. The cat gasped in surprise, but was knocked breathless for a moment when she hit the counter. Ral grabbed her wrists while Matt snatched an orange from the other counter.

"Like why morphs wear clothes," Ed yanked her skirt down to her knees and she yowled loudly in pain as the waistband pulled her tail before the button popped. Matt quickly shoved the orange in her open mouth and sneered at her triumphantly, "Now we got ya, pussy." Then he pulled her top over her head.

The boys all stared at the naked cat girl stretched on the counter. Her chest was flat, but two rows of three nipples poked through the thinner fur of her belly.

"Now that's more like what I expected," Matt exclaimed excitedly. He reached out ran his fingers over her nipples and she shuddered. "Ooo, they're sensitive."

Jake moved slowly around the counter to stand behind Ed, nervously looking over the feline body before him.

Ed snapped, "Come on, Matt. We need to get her tied up."

Matt jumped, "Oh, right, right." He pulled a couple short pieces of rope from his pockets and tossed them to Ral and Ed. The boys tied her wrists and feet.

Ed stepped back and grinned, "She's quite a catch."

Jake looked around at the other boys, then back to the cat on the table.

"Guess I should get started, right?" The other boys chuckled in approval as Ed unbuckled his belt.

"Hey Ed," Jake spoke up, pausing in thought as he stared at the cat girl. "This; this might be your only chance to see a real shaved pussy."

Ed smirked and patted Jake's shoulder, "Now you're thinking."

Matt grabbed a knife from the block on the counter behind him and held it in front of the cat's face.

"No!" Jake jumped; then collected himself, "I mean, do it right. You don't want a bloody pussy, do you?"

"Jake's right," Ed spoke up. "Keep it clean."

"Fine," Matt grumbled and put the knife on the counter beside the cat. "I'll be right back." He headed off to look for shaving stuff.

Ed looked to Jake, "You alright? I was getting worried you'd gone off on us for a bit there."

"Yeah," Jake looked at Ed, then back to Lisa. "I'm good now."

"Ah, did seeing this naked pussy stretched out bring you back to your senses?" Ed elbowed Jake.

Jake looked into the cat's eyes and took a deep breath, "Yeah. I've got my senses back."

Matt came running down the upstairs hallway, "I've got it." He started down the stairs, but stumbled and fell.

At the bottom of the stairs he began cursing, "Shit! My dad's gonna kill me, man."

"Come on, Matt. Let's get on with this," Ed snapped impatiently.

Matt picked himself up and walked over to the counter and tossed a razor and can of shaving cream on the counter by the cat, then carried a broken electric razor to the other counter, "I'm fucked."

"And this pussy isn't yet. Come on!" Ed shouted. "Get with it or go someplace else."

"Fine," Matt grumbled and stormed off to the front room.

Ed sighed in frustration, "Now I'm not sure I'm quite in the mood anymore."

Ral looked annoyed, "What are we going to do now, mate?"

"Well, I hate to let a good pussy go to waste. You want a go at her?"

"Not my taste, mate."

"How about you, Jake?"

Jake stared into the eyes of the cat girl on the counter and she stared back.

Ed jabbed Jake with his elbow, "Hey Jake, you want her? You've been all moody since you had that bitch yesterday."

Jake shot Ed a look, "No. I don't want to do anything to her."

"I've seen you looking at her. You want to. I bet you just want her to yourself. Huh?"

"Let's just get out of here. I've got a bad feeling about this."

"Nah. We've gone through all this trouble. I think I can muster up something for her." Ed pulled his penis from his pants and began stroking it.

Lisa looked to Ed and the fear returned to her eyes.

Ed stroked over the nipples on her belly and she closed her legs tight.

"Oh, no. You're not going to get out of this. You're gonna get the message

Jake grabbed his arm, "Come on, something's just not right."

"Help me finish this and we can get out of here. Grab her leg."

Jake looked at the cat and she looked back at him pleadingly.

"Grab her leg!" Ed shouted.

A light flashed through the room.

"Hey mate, is that your dad coming home?"

Matt tossed the pillow off his face and jumped up to the window, "Fuck!" He ran to the kitchen, "Get her out of here, man!"

"Damn, I'm not done yet."

"Get her out of here now, man!" Matt grabbed the remains of the electric shaver and the razor and shaving cream from the counters and tossed them in a drawer. Then ran to the door and locked it.

Ed moved beside the cat and leaned in. He put one hand around her throat and forced his other fingers between her legs and gripped tightly, "Just remember, you can't get us all, so there will always be the one you missed to shut you up." Then he picked up her legs and Ral carried her by her arms and they headed for the back door. Jake gathered her clothes and bag and followed.

"No man, he saw your car out there. He knows you're here."

Jake helped Ral carry the cat out the back. They stopped by some bushes and put her down.

"Hey Ral, you go back in. Ed never travels alone."

"You're right, mate. You going to be okay with this?"

"Yeah. No problem. Hurry back inside and don't mention me. I'll sneak around to the car and meet you when you leave."

Ral ran back inside

Jake stared at the cat's eyes for a moment, "I'm going to untie you now. Please don't hurt me." The cat nodded and watched his eyes as he cautiously pulled the orange from her mouth. She gasped for air; then gagged on the flavor of orange peel still on her tongue. Jake cut her feet free.

Lisa looked at the boy and spoke her thoughts, "Did you..."

"Yes, I stalled them," he whispered sharply, "Please don't let anyone know." He cut her wrists free and gave her things to her. "You should go now, before they come out."

"Thank you," the cat leaned close to the boy.

"Go now!" he shouted in a whisper. "Please."

Lisa clutched her things to her chest and ran as fast as she could.

Jake watched her sleek body slip through the bushes, her tail trailing after. Then he shook himself and snuck around the house to the car. He slipped in the back seat and sat quietly, thinking about all that had happened the past couple days.

Everything had moved so fast, he still wasn't sure how it all happened. How could he have let himself rape that girl yesterday?

Girl? She did look like a girl, but covered with fur and the head and tail of a fox.

She looked like a beast. Which is what he called her, but now he wasn't so sure.

Looking at her, naked on the floor he had wondered how wrong he had been. He should have stopped everything there, but he didn't. He let Ed talk him into doing that to her.

Ed. Why had Ed suggested that? Why did he want to do it again?

And that cat.

Lisa. She was very intelligent and extremely nice and friendly. Why did they do that to her? Why did he let them? Why did she let them?

Her eyes. They were beautiful and full of emotion, intelligence, life, fear.

Fear. Jake was afraid. He wanted to stop this. Forget it. Make it all never happen.

But that's what he had to do now, stop it. He couldn't walk away now. He started it and he had to finish it. Somehow he needed to convince Matt, Ral and Ed, especially Ed. They needed to learn to respect morphs as intelligent people.

The car door opened and Ral sat down in the front seat. Ed opened the driver's door and sat down behind the wheel, then turned to Jake, "You take care of that cat?"

"Yeah. She's gone."

"Did you get any before you cut her loose?"

"No."

"She give you any trouble?"

"No, not at all. She's a smart girl."

"Yeah, she'll know not to mess with us, mate," Ral chimed in. "Ed can be very intimidating."

"I know," Ed started the car and backed it out of the driveway.

"Matt staying home?"

"Yeah. His dad wanted to have a chat with him."

"Where to now?"

"Its still early," Ed sneered as he drove. "Let's go hunting."

"What are we hunting?"

"We lost our pussy, thanks to Matt. I'm done with playing nice tonight. We're going to find something to bang. I don't care what it is right now."

"Hey mate, ever heard the phrase 'fucking like rabbits?'"

Ed noticed what Ral was talking about and slowed down. A young rabbit was walking down the sidewalk. She wore a short skirt and a short shirt and carried a bag over her shoulder. The strap across her front emphasized her human looking chest.

Ral put his window down and called out as sweetly as he could, "Hey bunny, need a ride?"

The rabbit looked over nervously, "No thanks. Its only a few blocks."

Ral got out of the car and moved close beside the rabbit, "Come on now. You shouldn't be walking out this late alone."

"I'm fine."

"Yes you are," he put his hand on her bag.

The rabbit panicked and tried to run, but as she did, Ral grabbed her bag and used her own weight to throw her to the ground. Ed jumped out of the car and was on top of her in an instant. He shoved a rag in her mouth and grabbed her ears.

"Pick her up quick," Ed and Ral picked up the rabbit and shoved her head first into the back seat.

Jake watched in shock as the rabbit came into the car. He pushed himself back against the door to give her as much room as he could.

Ed shoved Ral, "You drive."

Ral ran around the car as Ed shoved the rabbit's feet and climbed in the back seat.

"Get us out of here fast."

Ral started driving, "Where to?"

"Doesn't matter, just drive; into the bush if you have to."

The rabbit kicked at Ed and tried to scream until he shoved her knees into her chest and pulled out a knife, "Just try that again and see what happens."

The rabbit's eyes grew wide and she froze.

"Hold her legs."

"I don't know if this..."

"Hold her legs!" Ed shouted and glared at Jake.

Jake gently wrapped his arms around the rabbit and put his hands under her knees. He very softly whispered into her ear, "Don't worry. I'll get you out of this. Just be patient."

Ed slipped his finger under the crotch of the rabbit's panties and pulled them out; then slipped the knife under and cut through the fabric. The rabbit whimpered and lost her bladder.

"Aw damn! This stupid animal just pissed in my car!" Ed slapped the rabbit's face.

"Hurry up. I can't hold her forever," Jake pleaded.

"Yeah, yeah," Ed shoved the rabbit's shirt up over her breasts and rubbed one for a bit. "Amazing what science can do; put such nice tits on an animal just for me."

The rabbit closed her eyes.

Ed trailed the tip of the knife down her belly and across her sex, "Now, let's get started." He unbuckled his belt and pants and shoved them down his legs, stroking his penis and staring at the rabbit's sex. He put the knife on the back of the seat and stroked the rabbit's leg.

Jake whispered behind the rabbit's ear, "Kick him."

The rabbit opened her eyes and kicked, square in Ed's crotch.

Ed's eyes went wide and he grunted in pain, curling up protectively. "You fucking_morph_," he managed to squeak and reached for the knife.

"Again," Jake whispered sharply and the rabbit kicked Ed's chest as hard as she could.

Ed's head smashed through the window and he dropped the knife.

"Oh shit," Ral turned down an alley and stopped the car.

Jake opened the door behind him and fell out, pulling the rabbit with him. Ed launched himself out of the back seat after them and as they scrambled to their feet and tried to run, he yanked the rabbit to the ground by her ears, "Where the fuck do you think you're going!? I've had enough of this. Play time is over." He leaned over the rabbit and pulled back to hit her, but Jake grabbed his arm.

"That's enough, Ed. Let's call it a night."

Ed shook Jake's hand off his arm and glared at him, "You've been trying to interfere all night. What's the matter, you got some and don't want to share?"

"No, I've just come to my senses. You shouldn't treat people this way."

"I can treat morphs any way I like. These _things_aren't people; they were made by people," Ed's eyes were beginning to turn red.

"They're not_things_ for you to abuse. They have minds and hearts. They may not be human, but they're people."

"They're animals and need to be dominated," Ed put a foot on the rabbit's chest and leaned towards Jake. "Maybe you need to be dominated, too." He raised his fist and swung at Jake.

No!" Jake threw his fist quick and punched Ed's eye. The eye exploded in blood and Ed screamed, stumbling back until he fell to the ground.

"Ed?" Jake stepped closer and looked at Ed, lying still on the ground. A pool of blood was forming around his head.

Ral jumped out of the car, "What happened, mate?!"

The rabbit scrambled to her feet, keeping her eyes on Ed, but only ran a couple steps before she ran into something and screamed. Her scream was cut short and Jake turned around to see a large wolf in a blue uniform holding the quivering and whimpering rabbit, with a paw over her mouth.

"Oh, shit!" Ral fell over himself trying to run and disappeared out the other end of the alley.

The wolf whispered soothingly into the rabbit's ear and she quieted. He pulled her shirt down and released her, gently rubbing her shoulder, "Looks like you've got a bit of a mess here."

"It was an accident. I only hit him once," Jake backed up against the car. "Please don't kill me."

The wolf laughed, "I heard it all. You're a good man for protecting her."

The rabbit looked at Jake and shakily whispered, "Thank you." The wolf rubbed her shoulder and she hid against his chest.

"But you do have a bit of a problem now," The wolf continued. "The courts probably won't be as understanding as myself. We need to make this disappear."

"But he's my friend."

"He didn't sound like much of a friend."

"His family and the school will miss him."

"It will have to be a mystery, then," the wolf leaned down to look in the rabbit's eyes as he spoke quietly to her, pointing out the end of the alley. She nodded and took off quickly, stopping at the end of the alley to look both ways before she ran across and to a door beside the alley on the other side of the street.

The wolf turned back to Jake; then looked at Ed on the ground, "First we need to make him disappear. I can take care of that."

"What are you going to do to him?"

"Don't worry about that. The less you know, the safer you are," the wolf stepped forward and put his paw on Jake's shoulder. "You have the hard part."

Jake looked nervously at the large, furry paw; then at the wolf's intense, yet caring eyes.

"You will need to make this night disappear."

"How do I do that?"

"You need to decide what you were doing all night. Think back to who saw you and when and try to recreate your night without being here. The hardest part will be to convince the boy that ran off to keep quiet. I suspect you know him well enough that you can think of some way to convince him."

"Who are you and why are you doing this?"

"I am a Guardian, a defender. Right now, I am defending you, because you have a good heart. You stood up to protect her and now I stand up to protect you."

"But."

The wolf looked at Ed's body, "We should hurry. The streets are quiet, but not empty." He moved to pick up the body; then turned back to Jake, "You should move that car someplace else." He stood up with Ed's body, careful to keep his bloody head away from him, and moved to the end of the alley. He looked both ways; then quickly dashed across the street and down the sidewalk until Jake couldn't see him. Jake ran to the end of the alley, but the wolf was nowhere to be found.

He turned back to the alley, still in shock that it had all happened. Noticing the car, he pulled himself together. He ran to it and got in the driver's seat. He drove to the other end and turned the direction Ral had run. A couple blocks down, he found Ral throwing up against a wall and pulled over. He put the window down and shouted, "Hurry up, get in!"

Ral looked up at him, "You gonna kill me too, mate?"

"Just get in. We've got to get out of here."

Ral reluctantly got in the car, "What the hell's going on?"

"We're in deep shit, that's what," Jake drove off, focused on the road. "We're accessories to rape and murder."

"Hey, I didn't do shit to that rabbit or to Ed."

"You drove the car, that's enough for the law. We need to make this night disappear."

"What do you mean? What happened with that thing that showed up?"

"Nothing. We weren't here."

"But what about Ed?"

"If we know anything about what happened to Ed, we're part of it. So, Ed dropped us off and that's it."

"What about Ed?"

"The less we know; the better. If we can say what happened to him, we'll be arrested."

"Fine. What about Matt, then?"

"We need to find out what he told his dad we were doing there. After that, Ed dropped us off and that's all we know."

"It'll never fly, mate."

Jake pulled over and stopped the car, "Just stick to it. The night was ruined when Matt stayed home, so we called it a night."

"What about the timing? It doesn't take long to get from Matt's house to mine."

"So, he dropped me off first. Just go in quietly and nobody will ask questions. No questions means you don't have to give answers."

Ral looked at his house, "I don't think I can go through with this, mate."

"You have to or you'll end up in jail."

"Right." Ral looked at Jake, "See you tomorrow, mate?"

"Yeah. Tomorrow."

Ral got out and walked to his front door. He looked back for a moment; then slipped inside.

Jake pulled away from the curb and drove to Ed's house. His mind was swirling with thoughts of the past two nights. He wanted it to all go away, but he knew it had actually happened and he would have to live with it. He wondered if listening to that wolf was the right thing to do, but knew it was too late to change it now. He wondered how it had all gone wrong and if he could make it right.

He pulled to the curb in front of Ed's house and turned off the car. He looked at the house and thought again about what happened to Ed. Then he pulled himself together and got out of the car.
