---- Day 1----

Running along the brick road leading to the beach, a somewhat childish vaporeon enjoys the warm feeling of the sun on his body. It was a nice mild day outside compared to the rest of the week and the vaporeon hoped to spend it nicely with his friend. "Espi, hurry up! We have to make sure we get our spot!" he yelled back towards the espeon, struggling to keep up.

"Slow down! You know that I'm not that fast!" he replied, catching up with his friend almost out of breath.

"I can't keep myself contained, I'm just super excited that we get to head over there today!" the vaporeon said back, slowing down a bit to let the espeon catch up.

"I know you are, you wouldn't stop talking about it for the past week, ever since you heard the weather report." Espi complained. "You were also on me this entire morning to make sure that I was 'on schedule' with everything." The vaporeon gave a cheeky grin to this statement.

"Well, I do like to be on time. You should be excited too!" The vaporeon said, bouncing up and down a bit.

"I am, Vaps, just not as much as you." Although the vaporeon and the espeon were not given names, since they have no trainer, the two just gave each other little nicknames to make it a bit easier. Vaporeon was Vaps, while Espeon became Espi. Now watered down to a walk, the duo could finally see the vibrant blue color of the ocean and the rippling sounds of the waves. "See, we made it in a rather short time compared to running." Espi said to his friend. Vaps' eyes lit up when he heard this.

"We made it! C'mon, race you there!" before the espeon could even respond, Vaps dashed ahead again leaving Espi shaking his head and smiling.

"Can he even stay still for ten seconds?" he questioned himself while picking up a light jog. After catching up again, he noticed that the vaporeon had stopped and was just staring at something. "Vaps, is everything all right?" he asked.

"There's someone in our spot" he stated dully, "why is there someone in our spot" he turned to his friend, his cheery attitude turned to a blank stare.

"I don't know, we can just ask if they could move over a bit." Espi suggested, as he walked forward to the other Pokémon sitting on a night-style beach towel. When he was just a couple steps away, the Pokémon that was in their normal spot came into focus more. He could definitely tell this was a female with her fur pitch-black, maybe even more so than the beach towel, and yellow rings that gave off a luminescent feel. He could now tell that this Pokémon was an umbreon. "Excuse me," he spoke up, her head turning in response "My friend and I here usually sit in this spot whenever we come down to this beach, and I wanted to know if-"

"Oh am I sitting in your spot?" She asked, cutting the espeon off "I'm soooo sorry! I really didn't mean it! I'll just take my towel and get out of here." The umbreon exclaimed rather quickly as she jumped up and took the towel by her teeth, scuttling away from Vaps and Espi.

"Alright!" Vaps said as he threw their towel down, starting to roll around in the sand. The espeon just sighed at his pal but looked over at the umbreon heading away from them. He felt it was too mean just to let her off like that so he jumped ahead and started walking with her.

"You know, you don't have to go look for another spot." The umbreon was startled at the espeon that popped up behind her "There's enough room for more."

"No no no, I don't want to be a bother. Besides, I have check-in at my hotel soon so I had be leaving anyways." She politely declined.

"You don't live here?" he asked her tilting his head,

"No, just here to meet a friend. Do you live here?" she asked back.

"Yes, my friend and I live at a nice villa farther down this road" he replied, pointing down the road he just came from "I really hope that I wasn't too mean when I asked you to leave, just trying to please my friend." Espi said, ears drooping to show sorrow. In response, the Umbreon brought a paw up to Espi's shoulder and gave him a warm smile.

"It's ok, really I don't mind. Maybe if you two want to meet up tomorrow at your special spot to make up for it? Will that cheer you up?" She suggested to him.

"I think that would be nice, for me and Vaps" he replied. "Does midday sound alright?"

"Sounds great!" She said with an enthusiastic giggle "Oh and by the way, I'm Moonlight but you can just call me Moon."

"I'm Espi, and Vaps is the vaporeon. It was really nice meeting you!" The espeon smiled back at her about to leave, before she leaned in and gave him a small lick on his muzzle. His face went a slight crimson because of her act.

"Same to you too! See you tomorrow!" With that the umbreon turned around and started walking to the hotel, leaving a blushing espeon in the middle of the path.

'What was that.....' he thought to himself, bringing a paw to his muzzle to feel where her tongue had touched. 'I wonder if...' He let his mind wander for a bit and ended up smiling and blushing at his thoughts. "Maybe...." He whispered to himself as he made his way back to the beach with his buddy.

"Espi! Where have you been?!" The Vaporeon exclaimed, rushing up to his friend that disappeared for quite a while. "I've been waiting for you so we can get in the water!"

"I was just talking to Moon." He said back to his friend. "Would you want to come back here tomorrow?"

"Sure I would! With you of course!" Vaps said grinning, "Now let's go swimming!" The vaporeon exclaimed as he started running down to the shore, the espeon following suite. They spent much of the day at the beach playing in the water, playing with the sand, and a bunch of other beach activities. By the time they were just about done for the day it was around sunset. Packing up their towel and other stuff, they started heading back down the brick road that brought them here.

"That was a lot more fun than I remembered." Espi said to his friend. "We've got to do a lot of these things with Moonlight tomorrow." Vaps rolled his eyes at Espi's statement.

"You're still going on about her?" He asked his friend in a slightly disappointed tone, but not enough that it was clear for the espeon. "You haven't stopped ever since you came back from your little walk with her."

"Well, I'm just excited is all. " Espi retaliated

"I am too, but you don't see me throwing her name in every sentence." Vaps said becoming less and less like his normal cheerful self.

"Calm down Vaps, I can tell your getting annoyed so let's just stop this conversation here. Okay?"

"....fine" The vaporeon said back. "Only because I hate staying mad at you..." he now tried to muster up a smile. Espi gave a warm nuzzle to his friend in response.

"Thank you." pulling his muzzle away, the two started walking at regular speed again, but stopped talking in order to avoid another argument. Shortly after this started, Espi heard a faint weeping sound in the background. "Hey, do you hear that?"

"Hear what?"

"That crying noise, listen" They both fell silent, and when the sound of muffled sobbing had started again both of their ears perked upwards. "It's coming from that alley down there." Espi pointed over to the dark alley not so far from them. "Want to check it out?"

"No I think I'm good." the vaporeon told his friend.

"C'mon! What if someone is hurt or something like that?" the espeon pleaded.

"How about you check it out, and I'll go back to our place and start up dinner?" Vaps suggested.

"Well....ok. I'll meet you back soon." Espi said as they parted ways for a bit. While he was walking down the alley, he noticed that not many shops were set up, and no windows or doors were placed either. 'This place looks like not many people come down here, maybe this was a mistake...' As he went deeper down the narrow path it became darker and darker, but not to an extent where he can't see. After about a minute of walking down this path a huge wave of musk hit Espi like a Mach Punch to the face. 'Oh Jeez! What's that smell?!' When the scent became more and more noticeable so had the crying, until eventually Espi bumped into something and fell backwards. "Agh!" When he looked up he noticed that a dark figure was on the ground as well. "Hello? Are you the one that is crying?" he asked carefully.

".....*sniff*...why..." it had asked

"I wanted to see if someone was hurt and needed help"

"I don't need you......" it responded back "I don't need anybody....." it got up slowly, and started walking at a pace that matched a slakoth. As it came closer and closer to Espi though, he could feel the musky smell get heavier and heavier to the point where he started to get lightheaded. "And nobody cares about me...."

"W-wait, you really look like your hurt. I promise I won't do anything bad to you, will you let me help you?" Espi offered this stranger. It turned around to face him,

"You want to.....help me?" it had asked Espi who had nodded slowly in response. It took a couple seconds for the Pokémon to comprehend this but it eventually gave in "ok....thanks"

"Just follow me." Espi told the Pokémon. As he turned around to head back outside the alley, he steeped in a weird wet substance on the floor. 'What the.....' he thought to himself as he brought his paw up to his face to smell the liquid. He noticed it smelled similar to the musk that's been bothering him since he came here. He gave the stranger a quick look, then back down to his paw with a queasy expression 'Eww...'

"Ok." The two of them made their way out of the small alley and Espi was able to tell what Pokémon this was now. It was a male glaceon, not much larger than himself.

"Mind if I ask your name?" Espi asked the glaceon.

"Just Glace is fine." He said in response. His tone was dull and he was looking down for most of the time.

"Okay Glace, nice to meet you!" the espeon said giving him a smile. Glace simply looked up at him and shrugged it off, walking ahead of the psychic type. 'I wonder what's bothering him...' Espi thought to himself. He ran ahead a bit to catch up to the glaceon, trying to see what his problem was. "Hey, what's bothering you?" Glace looked over his shoulder to see Espi looking at him with concern. He sighed,

"I just had some....romantic issues, ok? I'm really thankful that you would let me stay with you overnight, but can you please not ask me about anything that happened? I'm really not in the mood..." Glace trailed off as his mind began recalling previous events and his eyes began to tear up again. Not knowing what to do, the espeon put his paw up to the ice type's face and wiped the tear off.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't know...." Espi said, apologizing deeply to the hurt glaceon. "Let's just get home so you can rest up, ok?"

"...*sniff*...Ok, that sounds good..." Glace agreed trying to gather his emotions. As they walked further down the brick road, street lamps began to turn on and the route back to the house grew brighter and brighter. Along with the tropical weather, the area felt so peaceful. After another five minutes of walking, the pair finally arrived to Espi and Vaps' house. It was a rather large villa for just 2 Pokémon, since it housed 4 bedrooms. All 4 were located on the second floor which was the top of the house along with a bathroom, while on the ground floor there was another bathroom, a living room, kitchen, and a balcony that is mounted to the back portion of the living room. The outside had a tropical feel to it because of the white clay mold that covered most of the outside, and a red stepped roof on top of it all. There was also a hint of modern structure because of the long glass pane window that allowed sunlight to enter almost all of the ground floor. As the espeon and glaceon walked up to the doorstep, Espi rang the doorbell to let Vaps know he was home. He saw out of the corner of his eye though that Glace started to cry again.

"Glace.....I promise you everything will be ok." Espi said, trying to cheer up his new friend. He put an arm around the glaceon's shoulder to reassure Him everything will be better. As this was happened outside of the house, on the inside Vaps was running to get the door happy to see his friend again. The vaporeon opened the door, about to greet his friend with a pounce but just before he was going to leap up he saw another light blue Pokémon by his friend's side. Quickly after he also noticed that Espi had his paw around the other Pokémon's shoulder who was crying. There was also a faint smell of musk in the air which only tensed the water type up even more. Vaps felt like he was shocked by a thunderbolt as his heart dropped because of the scene in front of him, and was almost on the brink of crying himself.

"Espi.....who is this?" he asked his friend trying to hold back his worried tone

"This is glace, the Pokémon that was crying in that alley I was talking about." He said, taking his paw off the ice type's back to point to his friend "Glace, this is Vaps. He's been my best friend ever since we met as little eevee kits." Glace brought his face upwards to have his eyes meet the vaporeon's.

"Nice to meet you Vaps." he said, bowing his head to the vaporeon.

"You too.....I guess" Vaps responded, only to get a mean look from Espi,

"Vaps! He's our guest and he's been having a rough time lately so be nice!" his friend corrected. Vaps' ears drooped after being scolded by his friend.

"Sorry Espi..." he said, then he turned to the glaceon and sighed. "Sorry Glace..." The glaceon chuckled in response.

"It's ok Vaps, if a stranger randomly showed up to my home I would be on the defensive side too."

'Oh if only you knew the half of it...' Vaps thought to himself before Glace's stomach growled.

"Oops, I guess I'm getting hungry! I hope it's not much of a bother if I eat with you two?" The glaceon asked the duo politely. The Espeon nodded and smiled in response,

"Sure! Vaps what were you making for dinner?" Espi asked his friend.

"Oran berry stew" he told them

"Mmmm.....that sounds delicious" Espi remarked

"It does, can I set myself down in a room while you prepare it? I kinda want to lie down for a bit" Glace asked, thoughts of the past entering his head again. Espi nodded,

"Sure, let me bring you to one of the bedrooms." He said, leading the glaceon into his house. "Vaps, can you fix dinner?" he asked his aquatic buddy.

"Sure, it'll be ready in five minutes" he said back. While the vaporeon went back into the kitchen to set up dinner, the espeon and the glaceon went up to the second floor of the villa, and entered the door nearest to them on the left. It was a sizable room with a large bed for a Pokémon. Towards the left side a nice curtain followed by a large window provided the room with lots of light, and there was a closet on the right side for any other personal belongings.

"Thanks again Espi, I'll try to cheer myself up" Glace said, lying down in the bed.

"No problem, I'll call you down when dinner is up." Espi said going back downstairs to Vaps. When he turned around the corner he saw Vaps just staring off into space, and he didn't notice the psychic type's presence. 'I wonder what he's thinking about...' Espi thought to himself before another devious thought came to mind "hehehehe..." he whispered to himself. The espeon slowly walked up to the vaporeon, and because Vaps was super ticklish he decided to spas him quickly. "HAAAAA!" he yelled before his paws jabbed in between the vaporeon's ribs and hips.

"AH!" Vaps yelped as a huge pressure surged through his abdomen as he fell on the floor. When he was trying to stand back up, Espi's paw was held out to help him.

"Need help buddy?" he asked, while still giggling at his little prank. The vaporeon was brought back on all fours and smirked at the espeon.

"Well then, veeeery funny Espi" he said as he brought the 3 bowls from the counter to the table "But I wouldn't be too surprised if your stew had less Oran berries~" Vaps teased.

"Hey! Not fair! It was just a little joke!" Espi complained, going along with his friend. "Oh hold on, GLAAAAACE!" he yelled upstairs. About a minute later the ice type was padding down the stairs to get his dinner.

"That smells delicious." he complemented the water type.

"Thanks, now let's eat!" Vaps exclaimed as they all dug into their meals. After they finished their dinner, the trio made their way upstairs and separated into their own rooms. Every single one of them sleeping in peace, not knowing what events will await them tomorrow.

---- Day 2 ----

*beep* *beep* *beep* *beep*

Espi's eyes slowly opened to the sound of his alarm clock going off. He purposely set it for 11:00 in the morning so him and Vaps could wake up and have enough time to take showers, and eat a small breakfast. He threw his paw down on the buzzing clock to shut it off, and slowly got up afterwards to wake the sleeping vaporeon in the other room. As he went out of his room he walked across the little hall to push open the door to Vaps' room. There he was, sleeping peacefully in a blue tinted mattress that matched his own color. Espi smiled as he took a minute to sit and admire how cute his friend looked. With every breath the vaporeon took his chest rose ever so slightly, and as he exhaled he made a light purring sound to go along with the contracting of his underside. 'He looks so cute and innocent like this...' Espi thought as memories of his friend began to fill his head. He chuckled at them and decided to finally wake the water type up. "Vaaaaaps, it's time to wake up sleepyhead." he said as he nuzzled his friend to get up.

"Erhm.....what?" Vaps responded as he got up groggily. While he opened his eyes, he saw Espi slowly retract his muzzle from his face. Gradually regaining his vision, he also noticed his friend was staring at him waiting for another response. Before Vaps said anything though, he took a little bit of time to take in the details of his friend's face. His soft pink fur glistened in the sunlight that entered through the window which takes up almost one entire wall of the room, and his eyes gleamed a bright purple. His furry ears were perked upwards to show that he was waiting, and his head was tilted slightly to the side. The vaporeon spent a good minute staring into his friends eyes, getting lost in how beautiful they looked.

"Helloooooo? Is anybody there?" Espi asked getting a little concerned as he waved his paw back and forth in front of Vaps' face, breaking him out of his trance.

"Huh...? Oh yeah, good morning Espi!" He told his friend as he was now getting out of bed. Espi let out a sigh of relief now that he knew his friend is alright. When he did so he brought his front two paws off the bed, and turned to face the now standing water type.

"Took you a while there to answer, you have a good rest?" The espeon asked. Before Vaps responded he began stretching.

"A great one actually," before he could finish his sentence, he began to yawn. After that five second delay, he continued. "I'll go in the shower downstairs today."

"Ok, can you fix breakfast when you're out?" Espi asked.

"Sure." Vaps responded before getting a towel from his closet and making his way downstairs to the second bathroom in the house. As soon as the vaporeon left the room, Espi had just remembered that they have another pokemon with them in their house.

'Oh, almost forgot about glace.' he thought to himself as he walked into the third room. As soon as he entered the room though he noticed that there wasn't anyone on the bed. He looked around in surprise only to see an opened closet, bed sheets that were bunched up on the bed itself, and the curtains to the window open. 'What? Where did he go?' he thought as he went around the room to see if there was a note or a sign. "Nothing..." he muttered, now walking back out to the hallway to search the rest of the house. Going back to the bathroom on the ground level, Vaps was turning on the faucet letting the water pour out onto his body. He decided to take a bath instead of a shower today so he could relax a bit.

"Ahhhh...." He said as he sighed, letting his body expand a bit letting the warm water enter him. He found baths very soothing because of his ability to absorb water at will, so having a warm foreign substance enter his own body felt incredibly relaxing. After a couple of minutes of lying in the water, a knock on the door was heard. Vaps turned his head towards the door, wondering why his friend needed him. "Espi? What is it?"

"Do you know where Glace is?" he yelled through the door to ask his friend.

"No, why? Is he not here?" he asked back.

"Yeah, he's gone. I checked everywhere in the house and there's no note or anything." Espi yelled again. Vaps stopped to think of where the ice type could have gone.

"I have no idea where he could have gone, did you take a shower yet?" He asked his friend, changing the topic.

"No, I've been looking this whole time."

"Alright, why don't you go and take your shower and after I'm done I'll go look?" Vaps proposed.

"Ok, knock if you find anything." The espeon said as he began to head back upstairs. Ten minutes passed before Vaps got out of his bath and started to dry up. Once he felt he was all good he walked out of the bathroom and began to search the house. The kitchen was empty, no trace of any breakfast being eaten either. The living room was left how it was last night, and the balcony looked like it wasn't touched. As he walked upstairs he heard the sound of the water from the shower hit the ground from the bathroom, along with quite humming coming from his friend. Once he reached the door he stopped to hear his friend a little bit better. He couldn't help but smile as he imagined Espi singing in the shower. A faint blush spread across the vaporeon's face as he quickly turned and walked away from the bathroom. He checked all four rooms again to look for the missing pokemon, but he was nowhere to be found. After Vaps finished with the search for Glace he made his way back downstairs to quickly make breakfast. He decided to make some poffins for the two of them so they had enough energy or the day. Five minutes passed and Espi got out of the shower. "Vaps, did you find anything?" he yelled down the stairs.

"Nope, I guess he just left." Vaps yelled back up. "Breakfast is ready by the way"

"Oh it is?" Espi asked as he ran down the stairs. "Ooooh Poffins!" he exclaimed as he sat down right in front of his plate. Espi loved sweet foods so he was greeted by a nice pink poffin that was brighter than his own fur. Vaps on the other hand loved food on the dry side to complement his own type.

"Yup, dig in!" they both ate their breakfast slowly to savor the taste and ended up finishing on time. The walk down to the beach is usually 15 minutes from their house and by the time they left it was 11:30. The weather that day was warm and sunny, like yesterday except a little hotter. Espi made sure to bring an extra towel for Moon, so he was holding both in his mouth while Vaps had an umbrella. As they finally made it to the beach, they set their stuff down on their special spot to wait for the other pokemon to meet them here. "What time did you ask her to meet us here?" Vaps asked his friend.

"I said noon" he stated as he was looking around for the umbreon.

"Well, maybe she's late." Vaps responded before he decided to sit and curl himself up on one of the beach towels and closing his eyes. "Tell me when she gets here." Merely seconds later the familiar umbreon was walking down the road that lead from the hotel to the beach. With a bright smile on Espi's face, he began to wave her over to him before he saw another pokemon that was really close to her. His smile slowly faded into a frown as the two pokemon in the distance became clearer. The other pokemon next to her was a flareon who was nuzzling her. Once Moon had seen Vaps and Espi in their spot, she began to run with her new friend over to them.

"Espi! Vaps!" She exclaimed as she gave them each a hug when she reached them. "This is my friend that I said I would be meeting, his name is Flare!" she said, pointing to the flareon standing directly to the right of her. He gave a smile to the other two eeveelutions in response.

"Nice to meet you two, Moon told me that we were going to meet you guys here." He said to them. Espi's heart sunk once he heard the flareon speak.

'It's a male....' He said to himself as his ears drooped low. He does admit that he had some feelings for the umbreon, and seeing another male that close to her crushed his feelings. "Nice to....meet you too...." Espi said struggling to smile back at Flare. Vaps noticed the sadness in his friend's voice and decided to try and cheer him up.

"Moon, Flare, can you excuse Espi and I for a second? We dropped something over by the road" He asked them to try and break him and his friend away from the group.

"Sure! We'll get comfortable while you wait." Moon said happily as her and her friend sat on the towel. Vaps pulled Espi back with him to the brick road to separate the two.

"Espi, are you okay? I saw how upset you were when you saw Flare with Moon" Vaps asked with great concern. The espeon sighed in response,

"You could notice...?" He said with his voice sounding very shaky.

"Espi, I can easily tell when you get upset." He said. Espi sighed and looked down at his paws before continuing.

"I really liked her Vaps..." He whispered in a saddened tone, tears starting to well in his eyes. Vaps' heart rate increased as he was getting nervous about this situation, unsure of what to do.

'Don't screw this up Vaps, don't screw this up' he thought to himself while bringing a paw up to Espi's head. "It'll be ok Espi, if she picked that flareon over you then she's out of her mind." He said to reassure his friend. The espeon only looked up in response.

"...*sniff*...what?" he asked in confusion.

'Crap I messed it up, Crap I messed it, Crap I messed it up, CRAP I MESSED IT UP' Vaps screamed in his mind, beginning to worry. "I-I-I mean that if she didn't choose you, then she's not good enough for you! If she wants to be with that flareon instead of my cute and perfect friend then that's her loss!" Vaps told his friend as a final resort. Espi only sat there for a moment to comprehend what his friend was saying. With one final sniff the espeon got up and began to smile at his friend.

"Yeah....I guess you're right" he agreed, as he moved in to hug his friend. "Thanks Vaps, you really helped." Vaps blushed heavily from the espeon's motion and words.

"Y-your welcome" he coughed out in response. 'I did it...' After another moment or so they broke their hug, and Espi was back to his normal self.

"You know, sometimes I wonder why you keep helping me with stuff like this when I barely do anything in return." he commented with a little laugh, while turning back to head to their spot.

"haha....yeah...." Vaps agreed looking down deep in thought. He looked up at his friend with sad eyes then back down to the ground with a sigh. 'It's because I love you Espi....' He confessed in his mind as he followed his friend back to their spot. When the two of them came into view, Moon signaled them over.

"Guys, what happened? You took for-EVER!" she asked them when they reached her.

"It was nothing, just something we thought was ours." Espi said in response. Moon in return shrugged it off.

"Eh whatever, what're we gonna do first?" She asked the two males excitedly. Espi smiled a bit because of how closely she resembled how his friend acts.

"Well, we usually get in the water first" Vaps said intervening

"Uhh....if you head in the ocean then I'll just stay back here." Flare spoke up, joining the conversation again. They all looked over to him and remembered he was a fire type.

"Oh yeah, that wouldn't go well." Moon responded looking over at her new friend. "Do you two have any other games in mind?"

"Well sometimes Espi and I play keep it up on the grass over there." Vaps said, directing everyone's attention to a long patch of grass right behind the sand.

"I'm up for that." Flare agreed to the vaporeon's idea.

"If he wants to, then I do too!" Moon agreed also.

"Alright, follow me then!" Espi said as they all started walking to the grass. The four eeveelutions all played the game for a good hour before starting to get hungry. As they were walking back to their spot though, a screaming noise was heard coming from the ocean. Because they were the only pokemon on the beach, as far they knew, this concerned them so they began to run down to the water. "Do you see anything?" Espi asked the other pokemon in the group. Vaps was almost already submerged in the water, Flare was a few paces behind where the waves crash on the shore, and Moon had her paw entwined with the fire type's, worried he might get hurt from something.

"Nothing" Flare said, holding the paw not being constricted by the umbreon up to his eyes to see better. Just as he said that, Vaps jumped up in a panic.

"Guys, there's a pokemon drowning in the water!" He exclaimed as he dove back under to go help the other pokemon.

"Vaps wait!" Espi yelled to his friend, but wasn't heard. On the other hand, Vaps was swimming as fast as he possibly could to reach the small pokemon in danger. Surfacing for a second to see where he was, he noticed the small Pokémon was an eevee and wasn't too far away. Finally reaching the eevee, he went back underwater to nudge her upwards into the air.

"Heeeeeelp!" he could hear the little pokemon scream from underwater. He noticed by the tone of it's that it was a girl and was just arouund stage of becoming mature age. After he got her up above the water he went up himself.

"Hold on to my back!" He yelled to her. The eevee wasn't paying much attention to his voice but she was able to decipher what he was saying. Once she got on him, she was about to say something, but as she opened her maw she swallowed a load of salt water and began choking. Vaps began to panic as he heard the little eevee choke on some water, so he began to rush to the sand to get her to safety. The two Pokémon reached the shore after a couple seconds of intense swimming. Vaps placed the coughing Pokémon on the ground in front of him quickly and began to press down on her stomach to get the water out. Slowly but surely the water came out along with the eevee's coughing and soon enough she stopped, but was out of breath. By now the group of eeveelutions had caught up to Vaps and was watching the scene in front of them.

"Whoa....Vaps when did you learn to do this?" Espi asked his friend with a look of shock.

"I dunno, I just did it" Vaps replied also in astonishment. Before anyone else could say something the little eevee below the water type began to make faint noises, as though she was trying to say something.

"N....Nympha...?" she whispered to Vaps. He turned his head in confusion.

"Nympha?" he asked her back. "Who's Nymph-"

"Eevee!" a light voice was heard in the distance, cutting Vaps off. They all looked over in the direction of the voice and saw that it was a Leafeon running towards them. "What have you done to my kitt?!" She yelled at the vaporeon standing over the hurt Pokémon. Putting two and two together he backed away from the eevee and tried to explain himself.

"Nonononono, you don't understand! I was just helpi-" Vaps was cut off again, but this time by a strong leaf blade to the side of his face. This sent him flying over to the shoreline in pain.

"That's what you get for hurting my eevee!" she yelled over to the water type on the ground. She turned to the young eevee now under her to see what condition she was in, before feeling an unusual force lift her up into the air and spin her around to face an agitated looking espeon. Seeing Vaps get hurt like that had struck a nerve inside Espi that pushed him off the edge. His rage filled eyes stared at the Leafeon in the air, being held by his psychic attack. "Hey, you! Put me down!" she yelled.

Espi's angered look quickly changed to a frightened one, once he saw his friend enter his line of sight. Shortly after vaps had stepped in, Espi began returning to his senses. With this sudden intervention the leafeon took the time to jump up, grab the eevee, and run away. Giving a quick look of sorrow and gratitude to the vaporeon. He nodded to her in response before turning back to his friend with a stern expression.

"Espi, calm down." He told his friend.

Moon and Flare walked up next to the pair of friends and tapped Vaps on the shoulder. He looked over and remembered that the two of them were even here. "Hm?" he asked them.

"Moon and I are going to walk around town for a bit, if you need us for anything our room number is 139 in the poke-hotel." Flare told him as they began to head off. Moon gave them a little wave before following her friend out into town. After another minute or so, Espi and Vaps broke their little hug.

"I'm ok now....*sniff*....thanks Vaps" Espi said to his friend before walking over to the towels they set down on the sand earlier. "After all of this, I completely forgot how hungry I am"

"Ha-ha, so did I" Vaps agreed, sitting on one of the towels. He opened the bag they brought and pulled out two sitrus berry sandwiches. He gave one to the espeon and placed the other in front of himself. "How about we eat and then pack everything up to go back home?" he asked his friend.

"Sounds like a great idea" Espi replied as he began to eat his sandwich. After a good ten minutes the two of them finished eating and began walking back to their home. Once they got there, Espi made his way up to his room to take a nap. Vaps decided that he would watch TV for a bit. He sat on the couch and picked up the remote to see what was on. One channel was a news report with a female gardevoir as the news reporter.

'Boring' he thought as he flipped to the next channel which was a soap opera. 'Never liked those.' another press of a button and a jynx holding up a piece of jewelry was displayed on his screen. He continued to click through the channels until he found a movie that he liked. An hour or two passed until Espi made his way downstairs to check on his buddy.

"Hey Vaps, what're you watching?" Espi asked as he made his way on to the couch.

"Just a movie that looked interesting" He told his friend, moving his hind legs back a bit to let his friend on the couch with him. After a couple minutes of sitting there Espi decided to speak up.

"Uh...Vaps?" He said, getting his friend's attention

"Yeah?"

"I uh....feel really bad for what I did to that Leafeon before and I'm thinking of video calling her..." Espi muttered to his friend, afraid that he would get scolded from his idea

"I think that's a great idea! C'mon let's head over to the PC." Vaps said as he jumped up from the couch and headed to the other side of the living room. Happy that his friend agrees with his, Espi followed.

"Ok so now we just have to figure out where she is..." Espi said as he began thinking. Vaps' ears perked up once he thought of a place.

"Oh! That eevee looked badly hurt, and since we haven't seen the two of them around here at all...they must have checked into the Pokémon center!" He exclaimed as he began to dial the center. Since this neighborhood only has Pokémon inhabitants, the PC that is used has no Pokémon storage setting. It only is used for communication and the internet. The Pokémon center is also much larger because it is used as a hospital. After ringing a couple times, the image of a chansey appeared on their screens.

"Hello! This is the Maritime Town Pokémon center, how can I help you?" she asked in a sweet voice to the two eeveelutions.

"Hi, we want to know if there was a Leafeon and Eevee that checked into your hospital today?" Espi asked the Pokémon on the other end.

"Hold on, let me check" she went off camera for a couple seconds, then came back with a book. "Leafeon and eevee....Leafeon and eevee....." she whispered to herself as she ran through the patient list. "Ah yes, they checked in at around 2:00 today" she told them. Vaps looked at Espi then back at the screen and nodded.

"Yes that sounds about right, can you forward our call their room?" he asked her

"Sure thing" she said as the screen went black for a couple seconds.

"Espi, maybe I should be on the camera alone to greet her" Vaps suggested with an uneasy grin remembering what Espi had done to her. The espeon nodded in agreement with the same expression.

"Yeah...good idea" he walked off screen and almost immediately after, the same Leafeon from before appeared in front of them.

"Hello? Who is thi-" She cut herself off realizing who was on the screen in front of her. "Wait....you..."

"Yeah, me again" Vaps said waving to her with a slight smile "You probably want nothing to do with me because of the beach....but-"

"Stop" she interrupted him. Vaps' heart dropped thinking that she was about to tell him off, but he couldn't be more wrong. "I'm the one who should be sorry here..." Vaps was astonished when he heard this.

"Wait, what?" He said in disbelief

"I was talking to Eevee before they took her in to rest and she started thanking me for saving her from the water. I didn't know what she was talking about so I asked the nurse if she knew how Eevee got hurt." She stopped her sentence to give a sad sigh, then looked back up at the camera. "She said that no pokemon could have gotten water so deep into her air passage, and the only way she could have been in this condition is by drowning. So.....I'm reaaaally sorry!" The leafeon finished, putting emphasis on her apology. Vaps only smiled at this.

"Well, that saves us from an explanation." he said happily, but the leafeon tilted her head in response.

"Us...?" she asked confused. Vaps turned away from his camera to signal something over which puzzled her even more, until a bright pink pokemon appeared on this screen.

"Er....hey." Espi said unsure of what the grass pokemon's response is going to be. The leafeon cringed once she saw him get on screen.

"Oh...hi..." She muttered. There was a brief period of silence until Espi spoke up.

"I was uh...calling to say that I'm extremely sorry for what I did to you."

"It's ok, I understand. When you see someone close to you get hurt like that you can't help yourself." As she said that she looked over to her eevee friend lying on the hospital bed. "That sounds great! I'm Vaps," he turned his head to his buddy "And that's Espi." The leafeon smiled at their names.

"Simple but cute! I'm Nympha, and Eevee is the eevee you saved earlier. We didn't want to name her until she decided what evolution to choose." She said to the two males.

"Nympha.....you're the pokemon that Eevee kept mentioning before?" Vaps recalled.

"Yup, I've known her since she was born."

"Cool" Espi said. "Nice to meet you two." Nympha nodded to say the same back to them.

"Hey, If you want to stop by tomorrow to say hi your more than welcome to." She offered the two.

"That'd be nice, we don't have anything to do anyways." Vaps said.

"Alright, see you two tomorrow then."

"Bye." they both exited the chat. Vaps looked up at the clock, it read 3:25.

"We've still got a lot of time left in the day" he told his friend as he began to yawn. "I'm getting tired though."

"You wanna go out for a walk?" Espi suggested. Vaps shrugged his shoulders.

"Sure, why not." The two of them made their way out of the house and walked around the neighborhood for a good hour before stopping at a café to pick up some dinner. They made their way back to their house and decided to eat dinner early. Once they finished, Espi went up to his room to turn in for the night while Vaps went on his PC. 'I should text Moon and flare to meet us at the hospital tomorrow...' he thought while pulling up the messaging app. He searched for the hotel's number and added their room number to the end to begin typing. "Well good morning to you sleepyhead..." Vaps joked around with his friend. "Made some eggs for us this morning" he said as he walked around the table to his seat.

"I noticed, smelled it from upstairs." Espi replied, also walking over to his seat near the table. He yawned and rubbed his eyes some more before ducking his head into the plate and eating. Halfway through their meal Vaps spoke up.

"Don't forget that we're going over to the pokemon center to visit Nympha and Eevee." He reminded his friend.

"Yup, didn't forget. Did you invite Flare and Moon?"

"Yeah, I told them to come at 1." Espi looked over at the clock in response to his friend, and it showed the time -12:07-.

"Alright, that gives us just enough time." He said as he munched up the rest of his food. Passing the vaporeon that's still eating he put his plate in the sink and turned to his friend. "I'll take my shower now, I'm thinking if we're out the door by 12:45 we can make it to the pokemon center on time."

"Sounds like a plan." Vaps said as he just finished his meal, putting his plate in the sink and walking upstairs to grab his towel. "Hey guys!" Nympha said, bringing them inside the hospital room. She looked a lot better compared to how she looked last night. "It's nice that you could make it!"

"Not a problem, it's nice to make new friends! Especially after what happened yesterday..." Vaps said recalling the events of what happened on the beach. Leafeon looked down and let her ears droop in sorrow.

"Yeah...I can't tell you how sorry I am for starting that." she told the two of them, also remembering the scene. Espi moved over to the grass type and lowered his head to meet her eye to eye.

He caught himself before he could though. The two pokemon stepped away from each other and Nympha pointed over to the hospital bed on the other side of the room.

"Why don't you two come meet Eevee?" She asked, walking over to the side of the bed.

"What was that Vaps?" His friend asked with a confused expression. The water type jumped at his friend's question and quickly put on a smile as if nothing was bothering him.

"Huh? Oh, it was nothing. I was just agreeing with Nympha." He responded. Espi just shrugged it off and walked over to the bed. Vaps followed suite with a sigh. When they reached the bed, all that was really noticeable was a small bump in the covers. Nympha poked the bulge with a paw.

"Eeeveeee....Eevee get up." she whispered as the bump in the bed started moving. After a couple seconds a little Eevee head popped out of the sheets with drowsy eyes.

"Cool! Hello Mr. Espeon and Mr. Vaporeon!" The little eevee greeted them. As she was about to wave her paw though, she noticed that a little wire was connecting her to a machine behind her.

"Hey there Eevee." Espi responded with a big smile.

"Hiii." Vaps said, waving one of his own paws. The Eevee hadn't paid attention to their answers though because of her attention being stolen by the machine behind her.

"What's that?" She asked the other pokemon in the room.

"Your medicine." Nympha stated, "Remember what happened yesterday?" That statement for some reason clicked in the little pokemon's head because after she heard that, she immediately jumped up, went over to Vaps and nuzzled him.

"No problem Eevee, and you can call me Vaps." He told her.

"Ok Vaps! Nice to meet you!" After Eevee was done with her greetings with the water type pokemon, a knock was heard coming from the door.

"Come in!" Nympha yelled. A blissey walked in with a tray that held a cup filled with some red juice.

"Hello hello hello! Sorry to be intruding but I have some medication for Eevee." She said while walking over to the bed. Eevee looked at the juice in disgust and hid herself under the covers.

"Ewwww no, I don't wanna take it!" she exclaimed. Nympha yanked the covers from the eevee and gave her a stern look.

"Eevee, what did I say to you before!" Eevee looked down in response and started twiddling her paws.

"Yeah I know...." She calmed down, knowing that she wouldn't have won against the grass type. "Do I have to though?" Nympha nodded.

"Yes you do, it will help you get better." She took the tray in her mouth from the Blissey and put it down on the table next to the bed. "Thanks Nurse"

"No problem dear, remember to make her drink all of it." she said as she exited the room. Eevee sat upright against the side of the bed and crossed her front legs in disapproval. Nympha chuckled when she saw the young pokemon acting this way. When she was just about to pick up the medicine with her teeth, Espi intervened.

"You need any help with that?" he asked her. She stared at him in confusion before his eyes began to glow a faint purple. Even more confused she turned around to face the cup of medicine, though now it was floating in the same glowing purple. She finally caught on to what he was doing.

"Ohhh, I see now. Thanks." Espi brought the cup up to Eevee's mouth, which earned another grunt from her.

"Come on now eevee, just a couple sips and you're done." He told her in a very warm tone. She hesitated a little but eventually opened her mouth to let the medicine enter. Espi tipped the cup with his psychic powers and let the drink spill inside the Eevee's maw. A couple seconds of drinking went by and she finally finished the cup. Espi put the empty cup down on the tray and congratulated the kit. "See, not so bad!" She gave him a smile in response.

"Thanks Mr. Espeon!"

"You can just call me Espi." He told her. She nodded in understanding and in just a couple seconds her eyes began to get droopy as if she was getting tired. Espi turned to Nympha, "What does this medicine do exactly?" he asked her.

"It's supposed to help heal her scarred lung. It does come with some very uncomfortable side effects though so I told the nurse to put in a sedative to help ease her up." Nympha answered. Before Espi could say anything back though, Eevee began waving her paws in front of her face.

"C'meeere butterfreeees!" she said with woozy eyes and slurred speech. "Mamaa's waiting...." Her gaze now shifted to the three older pokemon in front of her. "H-h-heeeey.....what are y-you loooooking at?" she asked them in her drugged state. The three of them couldn't help but giggle and Nympha was the one who walked up to Eevee and put a paw up to her forehead.

"Take it easy there Eeevee, just try to relax." She said, comforting the Eevee. Her words seemed to have only made the kit even sleepier until it looked like she couldn't keep her eyes open.

"O-ok....Relax..." With that the eevee fell asleep leaving the three pokemon in the room to themselves.

"Well, that sure looked easy." Vaps said as he moved to the little setup of furniture in the room. The other two followed suite.

"Yeah well, if you've known her for as long as I have then it gets pretty easy." She said.

"How did you two meet anyways?" Espi asked as they all sat in the little circle of chairs.

"Oh, it's a pretty interesting story actually, so what happened was-" Nympha was cut off with another knock coming from the door. "Come in!" she yelled expecting the nurse to barge in again. Only this time it wasn't.

"Umm....are we a little late?" The familiar voice caused Espi and Vaps' heads to turn around and see who it was. It was the pair of eevelutions that they had just meet not too long ago. Moon and Flare. "We hadn't read your message until this morning,"

"Ten minutes ago actually," Flare continued. "We rushed over here hoping that you guys would still be around. Luckily you are." The way that the two of them were talking was odd. They sounded like they were out of breath, and Espi was catching on to this.

"Did you run over here?" He asked them.

"Yup." Moon said nodding her head. Espi also noticed that she had something dried along her muzzle.

"Did you just wake up too?"

"Yeah, around fifteen minutes ago," She responded "Why?"

"Looks like you have some drool around your muzzle" He said pointing to some stained spots. She felt around the area and blushed heavily before licking her paw and fixing the area.

"Ok thanks." Her and Flare moved around the area where Nympha Vaps and Espi were sitting to join in on the conversation. "So, what did we miss?"

"Not much" Vaps spoke up. "Just about how Eevee and Nympha met." Nympha looked back over to the two new eeveelutions that arrived and remembered that they were also on the beach that day.

"Hey, I remember you two! You were with Vaps and Espi," she said. Flare nodded and pointed to him with a paw.

"Mhm, I'm Flare and this is Moon." He told her, introducing him and his partner.

"Nice to meet you two." she said before returning to her story. "Now, get comfortable because this is a looooong story." Everybody listened intently to her story, and shared their own memories of their pasts as well for a long time. About an hour and a half or so later the five of them finish their story telling and start to say their goodbyes. Afterwards Espi, Vaps, Flare, and Moon all decided to wander around town square for a little bit.

"So, what do you guys wanna do?" Moon asked as they stand in front of a bustling center. This part of town was certainly the most lively, but wasn't at all close to be called crowded. There were a lot of pokemon out though, setting up banners, balloons, posters, anything party related.

"I dunno, Vaps and I usually come down here for groceries but that's pretty much it." Espi said as he turned to face the rest of the group. "Hey, do you think there's something going on tonight?"

"Not that I know of." Vaps said

"Hold on, let me ask someone." Flare said as he ran ahead of the group. They followed him but not as fast until he stopped right next to a huge wooden sign that read -Summer Festival- "If I were to take a guess, it looks like there's going to be a festival going on tonight."

"Good guess," Moon joked with him. Before anyone else could speak, Flare's face lit up when his attention was directed to something to their left. Everyone turned their heads to see what he was looking at, but all they noticed was a Sylveon and a Glaceon putting together a large banner.

"Would you look at that, Silk's over there." He told moon as he was walking over to the working pokemon.

"Really?" She said jumping ahead with him. Espi and Vaps looked at each other with confused glances before catching up. When they got there, Flare and the Sylveon were mid-way through greeting each other, then the sylveon went and did the same with Moon.

"Hello again everybody!" The sylveon then looked at the confused faces of Espi and Vaps. "Oh, I haven't met you two yet." He said to them in a light tone of voice. "I'm Silk."

"We're Espi and Vaps," Espi said as he pointed to him and his friend. "You know Flare and Moon?"

"Yes, we actually first saw each other yesterday when they came and bought....something..." He gave the pair a wink which caused them to blush "from my shop." He told them.

"So you're not from here then?" Silk shook his head

"Nope. Well, I was planning on staying here for one night, until I met Glace." Espi was drawn back at the mention of the Ice type's name.

"Glace?" A second after Espi mentioned his name, Glace appeared right next to Slik. "Glace?!"

"Oh, hey Espi," He said "Sorry for leaving yesterday morning, I wasn't feeling too well so I went for a walk. I was going to come back, but I met Silk." He looked over to the fairy type with a large smile then back over to Espi and Vaps. "Him and I spent the day together and checked in to the poke hotel at night. Sorry for not telling you." Espi noticed the way Glace was talking. It was different from when they first met, he seems a lot jumpier now.

"It's ok, you look happier now so that's all that matters right?" Glace grinned to Espi as thanks, then went over to Silk and nuzzled him. Silk returned the affectionate movement back but added a light lick to the ice- type's muzzle. Espi's jaw dropped at the sudden movement. He was speechless for a couple seconds before finally choking out a response. "Wait, are you two....gay?" he asked them. They both nodded their heads gleefully.

"Yup!" Silk said "Aren't you? I thought you and the cute vaporeon were I couple." Espi blushed with embarrassment at the fairy type's comment.

"No! No no no no no, we're just really good friends! Right Vaps?" Vaps hesitated with his answer.

"Y....yeah....." He said, putting on a fake smile to show some sort of agreement. Satisfied with his friend's answer, Espi went on to protest with Silk. 'H-he only likes females....doesn't feel that way about me...' Vaps had these thoughts playing in his head over and over again until he couldn't take it anymore. On the verge of tears, he broke the conversation between Espi and Silk. "U-um guys...? I-I'll be right back..." He said before running in the other direction. Espi Moon Flare and Silk were all puzzled for a second, but soon returned to their conversation. Glace on the other hand noticed how vaps was talking, and decided to follow him. Vaps ran away from the group until he was out of sight. He stopped by a tree and threw himself down on the ground to start his sobbing. He cried into his front legs that surrounded his face, buried in the grass. His weeping continued until he felt a paw on his shoulder. He lifted his head up to see Glace standing over him with a worried expression.

"You ok Vaps?" he asked. Vaps took a second to fix himself before answering.

"Y-yeah....kind of..." Was his response.

"No you're not, Really Vaps, tell me what's wrong." Glace said sternly. The water type hesitated for a second before saying what was on his mind for ages.

"I.....I love him!" He said loudly before throwing himself onto the ice-type's body and crying again. Glace smiled a bit before putting his paw up to Vaps' shoulder, reassuring him.

"It's ok Vaps, It's totally normal to love somebody." He told the water type. Vaps wiped his eyes ridding the tears, then stepped back to face Glace.

" *sniff* I know it is...but he just said himself that he's into females and not males. I-I just....don't know what to do....."

"Well, you could always tell him yourself that you love him and you have loved him for a long time now. Just come clean to him and depending on his response you can either say that you tried or you can try and persuade him into going on a date with you." Glace said. "Are there any important days coming up where you can confess?" Vaps thought for a minute before answering.

"Ummm.....well my birthday's in two days, what if I tell him then?" he asked the ice-type.

"That's perfect!" Glace said. Vaps closed his eyes and sighed, already feeling nervous for the moment where he can finally tell his best friend his true feelings. Glace put his paw up to Vaps' shoulder again. "Trust me, it'll all work out." He gave the water type a warm smile before seeing the group heading towards them. Glace took his paw down and waved the group of pokemon over. Once they arrived Vaps looked much better than he had before, he felt much better too.

"What happened Vaps?" Espi asked.

"Nothing, I just thought I saw something over here." He lied trying to cover up what was actually happening. Espi bought it and continued talking.

"Ok, well we're gonna go now because Silk told me that we should come to the festival later tonight with them. Let's get some rest now so we'll be ready for later." He told his friend who nodded in return.

"Ok, I guess we'll see you guys later then." Vaps told the group as he walked off to his home with his friend. When they got there they made their way to the kitchen for a quick lunch, both of them eating a pecha berry each. By now it was only about 3:00 so they figured they could sleep until around 8:00. The pair made their way up to their rooms and rested for the full 5 hours. They woke up on time and left the house at around 8:15, walking back to the town square they were in earlier that day. The difference between how the plaza looked before and how it looks now is very large. Lights and lanterns were hung from posters and streamers that decorated the majority of the area, and many unique shops were open for this special occasion. The air also had a crisp summer feel and smell to it that made this sight even more amazing. The duo walked to the heart of this huge festival and saw Flare, Moon, Glace, and Silk all laying together on a patch of grass. They joined the group, and the conversation they were having.

"Hey guys, I hope we're not too late!" Espi said as he and Vaps sat with the rest of the eeveelutions.

"No not at all!" Moon said "We were just waiting for the fireworks to start, then we're going to head over and check out some of the attractions." Flare put his paw around her when she finished speaking.

"I hear that one of the merchants has a dress shop, I'd love to see you try on some beautiful dresses." He said to her as she blushed at his comment. Flare noticed this and went in to rub noses with her. She did the same thing back until their maws met and they began kissing. Several "awwwws" were heard from passing by pokemon and from the other eeveelutions in the group. Vaps looked over at his friend and saw him smiling at the scene of the two pokemon kissing.

'Oh no, he's enjoying them kissing...maybe I won't have much of a chance with him....' He thought. After realizing what he was thinking he snapped himself out of it and tried to stay positive. 'No! I can't think negative!' Almost immediately after this, a pokemon was heard over in the distance trying to get everyone's attention.

"May I get all of your attention please!" The other groups of pokemon that had camped on the grass went silent to hear what the stranger has to say. "Thank you! Now today is a special day for us here in Maritime Town, Summer is finally here!" The crowd roared in agreement. "To kick off tonight we're going to set off a wonderful fireworks display then have several other shows scattered through the night. Now, are you all ready?" The crowd once again yelled a loud yes, and with that the first firework was set. A huge flash of light followed by crackling was heard and seen, making many pokemon in the crowd go "ooh!" and "aah!" The same process was repeated until the fireworks show ended in about 15 minutes. Every pokemon group scattered amongst the plaza to see and do the many different things that were set up. The same went for the group of eeveelutions for a good 2 hours. Finishing up their final attraction, Silk and Glace, Espi and Vaps, and Flare and moon separated for the night to go back to their homes. Espi and Vaps arrived at 10:45 and immediately went upstairs.

"You going to sleep now Espi?" Vaps asked before they split up to go into their own rooms. The psychic-type yawned and nodded his head in response.

"Mhm, are you?" he asked back.

"Yeah probably, I guess I'll see you in the morning then."

"Night Vaps."

"Night Espi" they both went into their rooms and closed their doors like they usually do. Espi yawned one last time before stepping into bed and pulling up the covers. He closed his and tried to go to sleep before noticing the dryness in his maw.

'Uh, why maw. Why must you be thirsty?' He got out of bed slowly and walked downstairs to pour himself a glass of water. After drinking it and filling his belly he slowly made his way back up the stairs and into the hallway. He noticed though that Vaps' door was slightly open and the lamp in his room was still on. 'I though he said he was going to sleep?' Espi thought for a moment then shrugged his shoulder and moved up to the crack in the doorway. 'Eh, won't hurt to peek.' He looked through to check on his friend.

Vaps was sitting in his room, on his bed with his eyes closed as if he was sleeping, but he was breathing heavily. Then Espi noticed that one of his paws was located down between his two hind legs, stroking his erect member. Espi blushed when he saw his friend's private area. 'Oops...didn't mean to see that.' He thought to himself. As he was about to walk away from the door though, he heard his friend moan loudly which deepened the blush on the pink pokemon's face and caused him to freeze in his spot. 'Calm down Espi, he's just relieving himself. Every pokemon does it.' The next thing that came out of Vaps' maw though had shocked Espi more than anything he could remember.

"Ohh......*moan*.....Ah...... Espi....!" Hearing his name made Espi's heart drop all the way down to his paws. Now completely unable to move, he tried comprehending what he just heard from his friend. After a couple seconds of just standing there he finally mustered the strength to move into his room and crawl into his bed. His mind was still working to try and find something else his friend could have meant, but he couldn't find any other meaning.

'No....it's nothing Espi, Vaps just happened to think of you when he was doing it. Everybody paws off once and a while right? There's no way he could have meant that...' These thoughts kept reoccurring in the psychic-types brain until he managed to fall asleep minutes later.

---- Day 4 ----

Espi opened his eyes once again this morning to see that the light in his room was stronger than before. He had trouble sleeping the past night with the memory of his friend haunting his thoughts. He got out of bed and walked out of his room into the hallway, down the stairs, and into the kitchen. He sat on one of the cushions that surrounded the table they usually eat on and rubbed the top of his head with his paws. 'Ugh....' He thought as his mind ran over the events from last night for the billionth time. He looked over at the clock to check the time, -11:10-, and with a sigh he got up to start on breakfast. He stuck 2 pieces of bread into the toaster and turned the dial completely to the right, not paying attention to his actions. He then went over to the bathroom downstairs to get his morning shower out of the way. After he finished up he moved back to the kitchen to find 2 burned pieces of toast sticking out of the toaster. Espi completely forgot about the breakfast he put on earlier as he ran over to pull the two burned meals out. He sighed as he put them on separate plates on the table. 'Great' he thought to himself. The familiar creaking sound of the stairs was heard as Vaps slowly walked down to the kitchen, clearly still waking up.

"Morning Espi." Vaps spoke, wiping his eyes with a paw. Espi cringed once he saw his friend.

"Oh....uh.....hey Vaps." He said back, trying not to make eye contact.

"What happened to breakfast?" Vaps asked, trying to hold back a laugh. "Looks like someone used a flamethrower on it." He failed to hold the laugh back as he chuckled a bit at his comment. He noticed that his friend wasn't laughing, or even grinning. "Hey, you alright Espi?" Hearing his name seemed to break him out of a trance considering Espi jumped and put on a nervous smile.

"Huh, what? Oh yeah....flamethrower, hahaha." Vaps tilted his head in a mix between confusion and worry.

"You sure you're okay?" Espi nodded his head vigorously.

"Yup, never been better!" The psychic-type said frantically. "Just...just....just thinking about what I need to get for later! Yeah we're almost out of food so I'm going to get the groceries later." Vaps nodded slowly, unsure of his friend's answer but decided to ignore it and start eating. Espi sighed in relief 'Nice cover up' he thought to himself before digging in himself. The two ate together in an awkward silence, then separated into their rooms again. Espi had to hold true to his word though so not long after breakfast he told his friend that he would be leaving to the market. Once outside and away from his friend, Espi finally was able to relax.

The weather outside today, unlike the past three days, was overcast and looked as though it was about to start raining any moment. "Phew..." he said as he was walking towards town square. He had a secret plan for his friend's birthday ever since about a week ago, he would pretend to get some items from the plaza but in reality he would actually pick up his friend's birthday present and make reservations for lunch. The only thing Espi had not thought of before was guests. Espi and Vaps hadn't really made any friends in their time here so it wasn't something Espi had to worry about. Now though they had made quite a group of buddies, and the psychic type had to round them all up for tomorrow. "So there's Flare and Moon....Nympha and Eevee....and Silk and Glace." He spoke to himself, running over the list of people he would invite. He looked up to see where he was and noticed he was close to the poke hotel. "Might as well start with Glace and Silk." Silk and Glace told him their room number last night during the festival, so he figured visiting them first would be easier considering they were supposedly close to the entrance. He padded into the hotel and walked straight for their room. He got there and knocked loud enough for the pokemon inside to hear. A couple seconds of waiting and Espi was greeted by the familiar Ice-type pokemon.

"Espi!" Glace said as he gave the psychic-type pokemon a quick hug. "Come in, come in!" he motioned his friend in and sprawled himself on the fuzzy rug in the middle of the living room.

"Hey Glace, I can't really stay long 'cause I'm in a rush." He moved on over to the glaceon and cleared his throat before he started speaking. "Vaps' birthday is tomorrow and I'm going around gathering his gift and pokemon to come. I just want to say that you and Silk are invited." Glace smiled in return once he heard this.

"Sure! We'd love to go!" Espi smiled as well once he heard the answer.

"Great! I guess I'll see you two then." He quickly turned around and padded over to the door before stopping last second. After thinking something over carefully, he turned his head around and looked Glace straight in the eye with a concerned look. "Oh Glace, one more thing....Could you come over to my place later? Later at like 5:00? Something's been bothering me and I think you can help." Glace was shocked by his friend's serious tone and expression, but nodded in response.

"Ok, are you alright?" Espi hesitated for a second before answering.

"Y....Yeah I'm fine. Just come by ok?" With that final sentence, Espi turned back towards the door and exited out into the hallway. He gave a big sigh before continuing on with his task. 'I swear Vaps, sometimes you're just too much." He reached the end of the hallway and turned the corner only to bump into another pokemon. The two jumped in surprise from the sudden contact, and Espi was the first to respond. "Ah! Sorry, I didn't see you there." He apologized while taking a good look at the pokemon before him. It was another pokemon of his family, an eeveelution just like him. Only the fur was a bright yellow and the pointed tuft around its neck was white. The jolteon shock off the effects of the crash and gave a scowl to Espi."

"Grrrr....." He growled under his breath. The deep tone signaled that the jolteon was a male, as if the overwhelming smell of odor and musk wasn't enough. "Move." He stated coldly which caused Espi to step a little to the side, allowing the Electric type to walk forward. Espi stared at him until he turned around to face the espeon but with an annoyed look this time. "Well, what do you think you're doing?! Leave!" he yelled at him before Espi ran off the other way to avoid trouble. He kept running until he made it to the elevators of the hotel where he waited for his lift up to Flare and Moon's room. He stumbled inside the elevator shaft and it lifted him upwards. "Well....that was interesting." He murmured to himself trying to comprehend what just happened. A couple second later he was brought to the floor of Flare and Moon's room and he padded over to their door, giving a knock to get their attention.

"Coming!" he heard on the opposite side of the door before the familiar fire type appeared in front of him. "Hey Espi! What's going on?"

"Not much, just came to tell you and Moon something." Espi responded before getting on with the reason for why he was here. "Vaps' birthday is tomorrow and I was planning on throwing him a surprise party, do you two want to come?" Flare nodded his head without hesitation.

"We'd love to come!" He said agreeing to the psychic-type. "What time?" Espi thought a moment before responding.

"6:00"

"Alright, and who's coming?" Flare asked.

"You and Moon, Nympha and Eevee, and Silk and Glace." Espi stopped for a moment thinking something over. "Aw crap, I forgot to tell Glace what time to come." Flare's face lit up after hearing this, as though he remembered something.

"Oh! I have to go see Silk soon actually, I can tell him for you." Flare offered.

"Really? Thanks so much Flare!" Espi said as he leaned into the doorway to get a quick glimpse of the clock. -12:00-. "I really should get going now though, I still have to get his gift and tell Nympha. See you tomorrow!"

"See ya." Flare went back into his apartment and Espi went back over to the elevator, back to the first floor, and out of the hotel. The walk over to the Pokemon center was only about 10 minutes, which gave Espi enough time to organize the events of tomorrow in his head. Espi made it to the hospital and stepped into the automatic doors, allowing him to pad in without effort. Once inside he noticed that the chansey at the reception desk was talking to another pokemon, who just happened to be the one he was looking for.

"Nympha!" he yelled over to get the leafeon's attention. She looked over and saw Espi standing there, and waved him over with a paw. As she did this, a brown fluffy creature climbed up on top of her head, and stared at him with bright eyes before jumping off and running over to him.

"Espiiiii!" The little eevee kit yelled as she tackled, or at least attempted to tackle, him and gave him a great hug. Espi smiled and petted the kit below him on the head.

"Hey Eevee, how have you been?"

"Amazing! Me and Nympha had the best night together last night! Did you see the fireworks?" She asked him as she unwrapped her forelegs around his paw, breaking the hug.

"You bet I did!" He said enthusiastically. Espi had always loved spending time with kits, as he found the way they behave comical and very entertaining. Ever since he knew about mating with another pokemon and where babies had come from, it had been a lifelong dream for him to have kits of his own. "I was there when where they lit them!" Eevee's face turned from a giddy expression to a dead-serious stare.

"No. Way." Espi couldn't help but chuckle at the sudden change in mood of the little normal-type in front of him.

"Yes way, Vaps and I were with a bunch of other pokemon too." Eevee jumped at the mention of the aquatic pokemon's name.

"Vaps!"

"Yeah!" Thoughts of his friend began clouding his mind again, the sound of Vaps moaning his name, the red flesh member that stood erect as he moved his paw along it. "Yeah..."

"Did you two kiss?" The little eevee asked curiously. Espi jumped at this sudden question that came from the little kit's maw.

"K-kiss?!" he practically yelled back at the eevee. She sunk her head into her furry tuft after being scared like that before answering Espi.

"W-well yeah....You know...when two pokemon love each other and stuff?" Espi was speechless after hearing her say this.

"I-I....but y-you..." was all he could say before Nympha ran over to see what was up.

"Whoa, what happened?" she asked the two of them.

"Nothing happened Nympha." Eevee simple stated, looking up at the leafeon. "I just asked Espi if he and Vaps kissed yesterday during the fireworks. You know like we di-" she was cut off when Nympha put a paw up to the kit's maw.

"Ok ok ok Eevee! What did I say to you last night?" She asked in a nervous tone. The eevee thought for a moment before she looked like she remembered something important.

"Ohhhh, I remember! Sorry Nympha." The little kit said, apologizing. Nympha sighed before giving her response.

"It's ok."

"Wait a second, you two kissed?" he asked the pair. "Like, full on kiss?" Nympha hesitated for a second before her response.

"Well....we kinda..." she trailed off with her sentence. She took another second to think over her words and then stepped forward so her face was right next to Espi's. "You promise you won't tell anybody?" she whispered into his ear. He nodded slowly before she continued. "Eevee and I....we're....mates." The last word struck Espi as a surprise as his maw dropped open.

"W-wait, mates as in....mates?" he asked "As in you already...did it?" She nodded in response.

"Mhm..." Espi was beyond shocked with this recent news.

"Oh...wow..." was all he could say.

"You won't think of us differently would you?" Nympha asked with a worried look on her face.

"You'll still like me too, right Espi?" Eevee joined in as she looked up at the psychic type with puppy-dog eyes. He gave a warm smile back at the two pokemon to show his understanding.

"I won't, I promise I won't." He said. Both pokemon hugged him and gave him their thanks before he moved on to his point. "Oh! I completely forgot! Do you two want to come over tomorrow at 6 to my place for Vaps' birthday party?" He asked them. Eevee's face turned excited once she heard these words.

"Birthday party!" She looked over at Nympha now. "Can we go? Please please please please?" The grass-type thought about her answer for a second before nodding her head and giving a smile.

"Sure! We can come!"

"Great!" Espi said. "I have to go now to get Vaps' present and set up reservations for lunch, I'll see you two tomorrow!" He told them before they said their goodbyes. Before Espi left though, Nympha told him about them renting a room in the poke hotel since they're checking out of the hospital and gave him their room number. He thanked them for it and was off to the town square to buy the present. After picking up the present he went over to a restaurant near the shore that specialized on hoenn region cuisine. He made reservations for 2 at 2:00 for lunch. Once he finished all of his errands he made his way back to the villa he shared with the water-type pokemon. Espi stood outside the large house and stared at it for a second, still a little nervous about being around Vaps. Knowing that two pairs of his friends are in a relationship with pokemon of the same gender helps relieve the stress a little bit, but Espi had never looked at males in that sort of way. These conflicting feelings are also making things awkward for Espi around his best friend. He sighed, 'I really need help with this...' he thought to himself before entering the house. When he walked inside he noticed that Vaps was in the kitchen, cooking a sizeable lunch for the two of them. Once he heard the door open he turned around and saw his friend got home.

"Espi You were out for a while, did you get what you were looking for?" Vaps asked, turning his attention to his pal.

"Uh...yea-I mean no! No they didn't have it..." Espi replied, trying to avoid eye contact.

"Oh, bummer." Vaps said as he padded back to the stove he was working on. "I'm making sitrus berry soup for lunch, it should be ready in fifteen minutes 'k?"

"O-ok." Espi answered. While trying to avoid looking Vaps in the eye, he found himself looking down his friend's body. His eyes then met a small pouch in between the vaporeon's haunches, and he immediately blushed after seeing it. 'What am I doing? Snap out of it!' he thought to himself, but found himself unable to move as he watched his friend's sheath bounce with his movements. After a few seconds he finally brought himself out of the trance and quickly ran upstairs, into his room, and shut the door. "I'm going crazy" he said to himself. "This whole thing is making me go insane. Oh Arceus why? Why!" He threw himself on his bed in despair and sat there thinking until he heard Vaps call him down for lunch. The rest of the day went by normally as they ate lunch in the same awkward silence they shared in the morning, and separated into different places in the house. They went on to do their own activities until 4:30 where Espi padded into the backyard where Vaps was relaxing in the water. He had to get Vaps out of the house so he could talk to Glace alone when he arrives. "Vaps?" The water-type turned his head to see his friend standing on the edge of the pool.

"Oh, Espi!" He dove under the water and swam rather quickly to the edge Espi was standing on. "What's the matter?" he asked as he resurfaced.

"Nothing big," he responded. He was able to control himself a little more around Vaps now. "I was just wondering if you wouldn't mind to go out and get something for me?"

"Sure, what is it?" Vaps asked. Espi thought for a second before answering.

"Um....we're out of leppa berries and I wanted to make poffins for dinner. I couldn't find it in the market before and I think they restocked by now, could you pick 2 up for me?"

"Sure!" Vaps said as he jumped out of the pool. He walked over to one of the chairs by the side of the house, picked up a towel with his mouth and threw it on his backside allowing it to dry a bit. "I'll be back soon, 'K?"

"Ok, see you later." Espi said as he gave him a wave and a slight smile. With that, Vaps left through the gate on the side of the villa to head over to the town square. Espi walked back inside and set up the living room for him and his guest. He took a seat on one of the cushions near the fireplace in the living room and waited for the glaceon to show up. Only about five minutes passed before a knock was heard coming from the door. Espi opened it with his magic and saw the familiar ice-type walk in. "Hey Glace."

"Hey Espi," Glace said as he walked over to the fireplace and took a seat on the cushion next to Espi. "So, what's been on your mind?" Espi took a deep breath before beginning his story.

"Ok, so what happened was last night when Vaps and I got home, we just went right into our rooms and told each other we were going to sleep. Of course I was about to fall asleep before I got thirsty and walked downstairs for some water. On my way back up though, I noticed that Vaps door was open a little so I took a little peek inside to see if he was sleeping." Before he continued the story, he bit his lip in fear of what the glaceon might say after the next part.

"Go on." Was all he said. Espi closed his eyes as he continued on with the next part.

"I looked inside and...he was lying on his backside with his paw in between his haunches as he was...you know...pawing off." He rushed through the last part, feeling uncomfortable saying it.

"That's it?" Glace responded. "I hate to break it to you Espi, but everyone does it."

"I know I know, let me finish." Espi said as he looked Glace straight in the eye. "When he was doing it, I heard him moan a couple times...and one of the times he moaned my name..." As he finished his statement he thought Glace would be surprised or shocked at what he heard. The opposite happened as he saw a smile creep up on the ice-type's face.

"Really?" Was what came out of his maw. Espi nodded his head.

"Yeah...it's been on my mind ever since."

"Alright, I can tell how much this has been bothering you. What I want to know though is how do you feel about it?" Espi tilted his head in confusion.

"What?" he asked.

"What I want to know," Glace took a pause before he continued. "How do you feel about Vaps?"

Espi was completely drawn back at the sudden question, but he took a long moment to think over his answer. 'How do I feel about him? Sure we're best friends but...I don't think I like him that way...do I?' Every memory of Vaps entered his mind as he thought of this reoccurring question. Vaps always treated Espi nicely, even went out of his way most of the time to make the psychic-type happy. It's obvious that he has some feeling towards Espi which surely flattered him. After going over the mental and emotional aspects of his friend, he found himself thinking about Vaps' image in his head. He went through the details of his friends face, his glimmering dark green eyes, the fins that surrounded his head, his sleek blue skin. He then moved down to the chest area, then to the forelegs and paws, the curves in his body, his tail, his hind legs and haunches, until finally reaching his underbelly that held his private area. Espi blushed as he imagined his friend's sheath bouncing with every movement he made, the pair of blue balls that hung right below his sheath, and the puckered hole that was right underneath the water-type's tail. Now his mind brought him back to when he saw his friend in his room, pawing off his red unsheathed member between his haunches. Only this time, instead of heading back to his own room, Espi walked into Vaps' room. The vaporeon was surprised at the sudden intrusion but let it go once Espi walked right up to him and kissed him. Once they broke the kiss, the walls that surrounded Espi disappeared including Vaps as he was brought back to reality. The psychic-type shook his head, snapping out of his daydream and saw that Glace was staring at him.

"So? How do you feel about him?" Glace asked, repeating himself from before. Espi gulped before answering.

"I-I-I...I think I love him..." He whispered. Glace's smile grew even larger once he heard the words come out of Espi's maw.

"Perfect." He said as he stood up and padded over to Espi to give him a hug. "Are you going to tell him?" Espi looked up at him with an innocent expression.

"Should I?"

"I think it would be a great idea if you did." Glace said before he heard a knock come from the door.

"Espiii! I'm home!" they heard Vaps yell from the other side of the door. They immediately broke their hug and jolted up from their seats. Espi ran over to the kitchen and opened the door do the backyard. He beckoned Glace to go over to him.

"Glace, head out into the backyard then look for the gate on the side of the house. You can leave from there, just make sure Vaps doesn't see you ok?" Glace nodded his head.

"Got it, before I leave though..." he put a paw on Espi's shoulder. "Good luck tomorrow." Espi smiled at him.

"Thanks, I'll do my best." He said as the ice-type left the house. Espi walked over to the front door and opened it for Vaps.

"Hey! What took you so long?" Vaps asked as he grew impatient at the door. Espi shrugged his shoulders.

"Eh, I was upstairs and didn't really want to rush. Did you get the leppa berries?"

"Yup! I also ran into Nympha and Eevee before too, did you know that their together now?!" Vaps said astonished. Espi only shook his head and chuckled.

'hahaha, Nympha shouldn't have trusted Eevee in the first place.' He thought to himself before answering Vaps. "No way, really?" he tried to act as though it was big news to him, and Vaps bought it.

"I know right! I couldn't believe it at first either!" he said as he walked into the kitchen with Espi. "So, wanna cook together tonight?" he asked the psychic type. Espi's smile grew exponentially at the sudden comment from his friend.

"Sure Vaps, sure..." he said. The two of them made a poffin dinner for each other which took a good half an hour. Afterwards they sat in the living room by the fire place until it got late at night. Once it reached 11:00 they walked upstairs together until they separated into their own rooms. Espi sunk into is bed and closed his eyes to fall asleep, thinking of the many possible ways that tomorrow could work out. He slowly drifted off in to slumber, eagerly awaiting the events that are to come.

Vaps woke up slowly by himself, bringing himself up and off the bed to start a new day. Although this day is different, because today was his birthday! "Mmmmrrrf...." He grunted as he stretched his forelimbs and neck. He looked over at the time, 11:00, and padded out of his room and downstairs. When he reached downstairs he noticed his friend was sitting on one of the cushions in the living room, watching TV. "Morning Espi." He greeted his friend. Espi turned around, not noticing his friend was standing there and beckoned him over to where he was sitting.

"Hey Vaps, Happy Birthday!" he yelled out. Vaps blushed and tried to hide his face in the fin right above his neck.

"Aww, Espi you remembered?" he asked, happy that his friend remembered the special day. Espi nodded his head vigorously.

"Of course I did! How could I not remember my best friend's birthday?!" he asked as he stood up and hugged the water-type pokemon. Vaps blushed even more at the sudden contact.

"Haha...yeah..." he said nervously as he allowed his friend to hug him. Since today is the day that Vaps was planning on confessing his feelings to Espi, he's been acting a little antsy around him. "So uh...what should we do for breakfast?"

"Well, I could fix up something nice for you while you relax." Espi offered.

"Like what?" Vaps asked. Espi got up and padded into the kitchen, checking the cabinets and fridge to see the items they had.

"How about..." His eyes caught on to the leftovers they had from last night. "Oh! Why don't we finish the poffins from last night?"

"Sounds good to me." Vaps said happily. "You sure you don't need me to lend a paw?"

"No no no, it's your birthday Vaps! Just relax and I'll take care of everything else!" Espi said, waving a paw in front of his friend.

"Alright, whatever you say." Vaps said, giving in to his friend's plan. He walked past the kitchen and into the backyard so he could rest in the pool they had installed to their house. Without hesitation, he jumped into the cold water and swam about for a couple minutes, enjoying the feel of water on his sleek body. After spending a good five minutes swimming around in the pool, he just lay on the surface of the water to enjoy the feel of a nice summer morning. Today was a nice day out, not too many clouds, but enough so the sun wasn't too harsh. The grass was still wet from a mixture of the showers the day before, and morning dew. Today couldn't have been a more perfect day for such a special occasion.

"Vaaaaps! Breakfast!" Espi yelled outside through the door. Vaps immediately jumped out of the pool and shook his body to let off any of the excess water escape.

"Coming!" He yelled back as he pushed open the door and walked back into their home. Espi was on one of the cushions that surrounded the little table set up in the kitchen, waiting for his friend to be seated. "Mmm...looks just as good as it did last night."

"Thanks." Espi responded before they both started eating their breakfast. The two of them chatted a lot during the meal they shared, and when they finished they headed back into the living room and lied on the floor together. "So, what would the birthday pokemon like to do?" Espi asked jokingly.

"Er...not really sure myself." Vaps responded.

"Alright, how about we watch TV until any ideas come to you?" Espi suggested as he lifted the remote with his psychic powers and clicked the button, turning it on. As Espi was flipping through channel, Vaps was in deep thought.

'Should I tell him now...' he thought to himself, looking over at his friend. '...Or later?' He was debating which action he should take for quite a while, until his mind was finally set on confessing now. "Um...Espi?" he asked, getting his friend's attention. The psychic type stopped what he was doing and looked over at his friend.

"Hm?" was all he said. Vaps' heart started pumping faster and faster, getting more and more nervous as seconds passed. He gulped before continuing.

"I er....I-I-I..." He stuttered, unable to speak all of a sudden. His body started shaking and shivering in place, "I-I...."

"You...?" Espi asked, assuring Vaps to continue.

"I w-was just wondering..." He couldn't do it. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't let out those three words. His body stopped shaking as he sighed in defeat. "I was just wondering what we're doing today."

"Well, that's for me to know, and for you-" he tapped Vaps' nose with a paw. "-To find out." Espi said jokingly. Vaps summoned his strength to let out a simple smile, which seemed to work because Espi TV. He quickly turned around and frowned to himself before letting out another sigh. 'This is going to be difficult' he thought to himself. The rest of their morning went by regularly, spending time with each other in the living room until the time reached 1:15. By that time, Espi got up from his spot on the floor, stretched, and looked at his friend.

"Why don't you get head into the shower now?" Espi suggested to his friend. Vaps, confused, stood up and tilted his head.

"Why?" he asked.

"Just do it, you'll find out later." Espi said as he winked to his friend.

"Ok, whatever you say." Vaps responded, giving in to his friend. Espi smiled as he watched his friend walk off to the bathroom to take his shower. Once he heard the door close, he ran over to the PC they had over to the side in the living room. He turned it on and went right to the instant messaging tab. He pulled up the conversation he had set up between him and Flare and began typing.

-Come over here at 3:00 to start setting up the house. I'm also sending Eevee and Nympha to help you and Moon so it shouldn't take long. The key will be in the bush to the right of the door, see you later!-

He clicked send then switched tabs to the conversation he had with Nympha. He wrote a similar message to her and sent that one as well before turning off the PC and running upstairs to take his shower. They both finished up around 1:30 and left the house no longer than 5 minutes afterwards. Espi guided Vaps to the secret location he was taking him for his birthday. The walk down to the restaurant was about as long as the walk was to the beach, so they arrived at 1:50.

"Wait a second, are we really going to where I think we are?" Vaps asked, getting excited at the thought of going to his favourite food place. Espi nodded as the restaurant came into view. The hoenn-cuisine restaurant, Slateport café. "Wooooo!" he yelled as he ran up to the entrance. Espi chuckled at his friend's excited attitudeas he started running as well. The two of them stopped as soon as they got in front of the entrance, and Espi opened the door with his magic, allowing them to go inside. The inside décor was beautiful, and resembled a house that would be found in the hoenn region. The walls were painted a chalky white, but it was covered with items such as shells, little boats, and sailor apparel. Other red and blue ribbon-like patterns circled around the restaurant giving it a little more of a peppy feel. A lot of the tables were also wood bumps in the floor surrounded by cushions, though in the middle of the room was a huge pool that was filled with seaweed, coral, and other ocean-like items.

"Hello, how can I help you two?" The pair looked in the direction of the voice and saw it was a female mawile, dressed in a black apron standing behind the little podium that held menus and things of the sort.

"Yes, we have reservations for party of two." Espi said.

"Name?" She asked sweetly.

"Espi." She looked down at her paper, then grabbed two menus.

"Yes, would you like a window seat, regular seat, or ocean seat?" Vaps jumped up when he heard what she said.

"Ocean seat!" he said. The mawile smiled at his energetic attitude.

"Ok, follow me then." She led the two of them outside onto a little porch with more tables and cushions. The floor changed to wood and the space looked limited. It wasn't until they were brought to their table where they realized they were placed right above the ocean, on a dock so to say.

"Whoa." Vaps said as he went wide-eyes, poking his head off the edge of the wood railing set up. The waves were calm compared to other days, but there was still the once and a while sound of crashing against the wood support beams. As he was doing this the mawile placed the menus on the table.

"Thank you." Espi said, in an apologetic manner.

"No problem, I'll come back later and get your drinks." She said before giving a wink and heading off in the other direction. As she walked away, Espi couldn't help but stare at her.

'Phew, she is one good looking pokemon...' he thought to himself before realizing what he said. He shook his head rapidly to get the thought out of his mind. 'No no no no! No more females!' he then looked over at his friend who was standing on his hind legs with his forelegs up on the wood railing. He was admiring the view of the ocean, laughing from time to time as some wingulls flew over them. 'Just Vaps...'

"Espi, this place is amazing!" Vaps said as he hopped back down onto his seat. "Thank you so much!"

"...Huh?" Espi asked, being dreagged out of his daydream. "Oh! No problem buddy, anything for you on your birthday." He said warmly.

"Speaking of anything..." Vaps said as his mood died down "I have something to ask you..."

"Hm?" Espi asked. Vaps hesitated a minute before speaking again.

"I was uh....wondering about something..." he said, looking up into his friend's eyes. Espi was staring intently at him, those deep purple eyes looking straight into Vaps' dark green eyes. Vaps shuddered as he found himself in the same position as earlier today. He was just too scared to say it.

"Yes Vaps?" he asked again.

"I-I was just..." before he could continue, the mawile waitress from before returned with her notepad to take their orders. "Oh! The waitress is here! Hahaha sorry about that but I guess we'll have to order now!" Vaps said frantically, happy that he was saved from the awkward situation.

"Oh, alright then." Espi said.

"So, what would you two like to drink first?" she asked the pair.

"Just a water." Vaps said.

"Can I have a pecha berry smoothie?" Espi asked.

"Ok, water and smoothie..." She said as she jotted down their drinks. "And to eat?"

"Seaweed fish salad?" Vaps told the waitress.

"Ok...and for you?"

"Same thing" Espi said.

"Got it, be back with your orders soon!" She said, heading back into the building. Espi looked back over to Vaps, continuing their conversation from before.

"So, what were you saying before?" Espi asked.

"Nothing..." Vaps said trailing off with his words. Espi was tell he was getting upset.

"Are you sure?" he asked again. Vaps only nodded, letting his ears droop down. Espi decided to leave it at that, and start up something else. "So, how's your birthday been so far?" They chatted for a while until their food came, and when it did they continued to chat but at a slower pace. They finished their meal in about ten minutes but decided to take their time with exiting the restaurant. Giving their regards, Espi and Vaps were off to do the next activity Espi had planned for them.

"So, what's on the schedule next?" Vaps asked his friend, feeling better than he had before.

"Another thing that you love to do." Espi said, as they were walking along a different path.

"Hmmm...." Vaps went into deep thought as he tried guessing the place they were headed to. Five minutes of guessing went by before they actually arrived at their destination, Maritime beach. "Oh no way! The beach?!" Vaps yelled. Espi nodded with a huge smile on his face.

"Mhm, like it?" he asked. Vaps turned to his friend and looked at him with a glimmer in his eyes.

"Espi, I love this! This is the best birthday I've had ever!" Vaps said as he ran down to the shoreline to enjoy hid time at the beach. Espi's smile turned into a sly grin after his friend rushed ahead.

"Oh, if you like this then you're going to love later." He said to himself before padding onwards. The two of them spent their time at the beach for a while, playing in the water, making sand castles, and a whole bunch of other activities. They spent a good 2 hours here before the sun began to set and they decided on heading home. This day had gone all according to Espi's plan, having him and Vaps out all day so his friends would set up the house for the surprise party. The pair of eeveelutions reached the house at exactly 6:00, and little did Vaps know what was inside of his home. He walked up to the doorway, but before entering he turned around to face the espeon.

"Espi, before we go inside and do our own things, I just want to say that this day was really really amazing." Vaps started. "I couldn't have asked for a better birthday other than doing these things with my best friend..." His heartbeat increased, his breathing went up, he was about to say it. Nothing could get in the way of what he was about to do, and he was determined. Vaps looked Espi straight in the eyes. "Espi, what I want to say to you is-"

"SURPRISE!!" the door behind Vaps flung open and he was cut off by the screams of the pokemon inside the house.

"Agh!" He yelled as he jumped in surprise, completely caught off guard. He turned around and saw all of his new friends, Flare and Moon, Eevee and Nympha, and Glace and Silk, standing inside his home which was decorated with party items. "What the..." Espi laughed as he watched the scene unfold in front of him.

"Surprise Vaps." Was all he said. Finally realizing what was going on, Vaps turned to his best friend behind him.

"Wait...you...you did this?" he asked the espeon.

"Yup!" he said, proud of how it came out. "What do you think?" There was a moment of silence as they waited for Vaps' answer.

"I...I..." his eyes started tearing up. "I love it!" he cried out before lunging into his friend with a big hug. Everyone behind them cheered and clapped at the scene that was going on in front of them. After a minute of their embrace, both of them got up and Vaps fixed himself up so he wasn't crying anymore. "Thank you everyone! I really appreciate this, that you would all do this for me." He said to his friends in the house, completely forgetting about confessing to Espi.

"You're welcome Vaps!" Eevee said, the first to speak up. They all laughed at her comment, and Flare was the next to talk.

"How about we start this party?" he said as they all screamed out in agreement. Flare ran up to the huge speakers in the corner of the room and turned on the playlist he had set up for this party. The music was blasting as a bunch of different colored lights were set up to give the house a late night club feel. The way the entire first floor was decorated was outstanding. Balloons of every color were set up around the walls, streamers were hung from the ceiling, and the multi-colored lights were placed on all sides of the rooms making every section of the house a different color. The table in the kitchen had a purple cloth put over it, and several bowls filled with different assortments of berries. When Espi and Vaps walked into their home, their mouths hung open in awe at how different it looked.

"Wow...You guys did amazing with this!" Vaps to his best friend yelled over the blasting music.

"Don't thank me, thank them!" Espi said as he pointed over to the other pokemon at the party. They were all doing different things, so Vaps shrugged it off.

"Eh, I'll do it later!" he yelled again. "Want to get something to eat?"

"Sure!" They made their way over to the snack table and feasted on all the different foods sprawled out on the table. After they felt full enough, they walked over to the dance floor (or what was the living room) and danced along with the music. They repeated these activities many times, some with the other eeveelutions and some without them. The two of them enjoyed themselves for a good hour before Flare stopped the music and gathered everyone's attention.

"Hey! Everyone!" he said as they all looked up at him. Before continuing on with what he was saying, he gave Espi a little wink. That cued Espi to go off into the kitchen and pull Vaps' cake out of the freezer. He laid it on the counter, then slipped back into the living room to give Flare the signal to continue. He cleared his throat, "So, we all know tha this party here is for Vaps." He said pointing to the water type. "And what would a birthday party be without a cake?!"

"Yeaaaah! Cake!" Eevee yelled out again.

"Aw guys did you really?" Vaps asked the group of pokemon. They all smiled at him and beckoned him to sit on one of the cushions that surrounded a large table.

"How couldn't we have?" Nympha said.

"Yeah, really Vaps haven't you had a party before?" Moon joked with him. He gave an embarrassed smile at the two females.

"Well, Espi and I usually just go out to dinner every year. We haven't made too many friends until now." He told them.

"Really?" Moon asked in disbelief. He nodded at her. Nympha and Moon looked at each other for a moment before smiling and walking up to Vaps, giving him a hug.

"Well, now you do. Happy birthday Vaps." Nympha said warmly. He smiled at the two females who were on him.

"Aww...thank you both." They let go of each other after a couple seconds so they could take their seats around the table.

"Are we all ready?" Flare asked, him and Espi standing in the kitchen with the cake.

"Yup!" Glace yelled back. With that, Espi shut off all the lights in the house and Flare blew onto the candles on the cake, setting them on fire with his hot breath.

"1, 2, 3!" Flare counted as he brought the cake into the dining room and in front of Vaps.

"Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Vaps, happy birthday to you!" they all sung together. On the last note, Vaps blew out his candles and made his wish. Everyone cheered and gave him a hug before grabbing a slice of the cake for themselves. Espi was the last of them to go up and grab a piece, so he went up to Vaps to give him another hug.

"So, how do you like your party so far?" he asked the water-type pokemon. Vaps gave a huge smile to his friend as he hugged back.

"It's amazing Espi, I can't thank you enough." He said before gobbling up a portion of his cake. They both sat together and ate their cake as they watched their friends finish up theirs and head onto the dance floor. Flare ran up to the speakers and continued the music, finishing up the song that was playing before. The next song that came on was different from all the others, it was slow paced and had a romantic tone. Espi and Vaps watched as their friends broke into couples, Flare with Moon, Nympha with Eevee, and Glace with Silk so they could dance with each other. They watched how all of the couples got into the music as they danced with their mates, staring into each other's eyes with passion. The atmosphere between the two friends soon became uncomfortable as they watched the scene in front of them. Vaps spoke first to break the silence "So...uh...Espi."

"Yes Vaps?" he responded, looking into his friend's eyes. Vaps blushed and looked away as he continued speaking.

"I-I didn't know there would be any slow songs..." he said, still too scared to look up at his friend.

"To be honest, neither did I." Espi said. He knew Flare did this on purpose to get him and Vaps together. He smiled to himself before inching closer to his friend. "Hey Vaps...I have a question."

"Hm?" Espi took a deep breath before continuing.

"How do you....how do you feel about me?" he asked his friend. Vaps was shocked at the sudden question.

"How do I feel about you?" He gulped as he felt his heart beat start to go up. "W-well....you see I-I..." Espi moved a little bit closer to his friend.

"We've been really good friends for a long time, haven't we?" He continued, feeling his own heart beat increasing.

"Well yeah...we have..." Vaps answered, unsure of what his friend was getting to.

"Do you think..." He moved closer to his friend, now practically on top of him. "Do you think we should become more than that?" Vaps' heart stopped after hearing his friend say this. He was completely speechless.

"I-I-I...." Was all he managed to say before Espi put a paw up to his maw, the sudden contact sending shivers down his spine.

"Shhh...." Espi said. He moved his face right next to one of Vaps' ears and whispered the next few words. "I want us to be more than friends Vaps, much farther than that." He paused before continuing his sentence. "I love you..."

Those were the words. The words that Vaps tried to tell his friend all day, but ended up hearing them instead. His heart beat started running faster than ever now and his body wouldn't stop shaking, his eyes starting to water a little bit. He couldn't believe it, the pokemon he's loved for as long as he can remember just confessed to him. He sat there, speechless as the three words Espi spoke ran through his mind over and over again until he had the strength to say something.

"I-I-I....I-I..." Vaps was now full on crying in front of his friend. "I love you too Espi!" he said out loud as he threw himself into his friend's forelimbs for a big hug. Espi wrapped his paws around Vaps' body to continue the hug. They sat there for a couple seconds before Vaps pulled himself up, wiping the tears of joy off his face.

"Here, let me help you with that." Espi said softly as he brought his muzzle up to his friend's, licking off some of the tears that rolled down his face. Some were still up high by his eyes, then some were a little farther down by the water-type's muzzle. Espi went through the ones on top of Vaps' face, then lowered his head a little bit until he reached his friend's muzzle. He licked the sides clean before his own maw reached his friend's, and unable to resist the temptation he moved forward and kissed his friend. Vaps was surprised beyond belief when he felt Espi's muzzle lock with his, but he didn't complain. In fact, he started kissing back. The two of them sat there kissing each other for a good ten seconds or so before Espi broke free to get some air.

"Hah....hah....hah" Espi panted, catching his breath.

"W-woah..." Vaps said with an awe-struck expression. Espi giggled a bit to himself before standing up and offering a paw to his friend. Vaps latched on and lifted himself up as well.

"Follow me~" Espi said seductively as he started walking away from Vaps. He did as he was told and followed his friend up the stairs, turned the corner, and walked into Espi's room.

"W-what are we going to do?" Vaps asked, still shaking from earlier. Espi simply looked at him before jumping on the mattress, and waving his paw over for Vaps to join him.

"Why don't you come over and find out?" He said in the same seductive voice. The tone his friend held sent even more shivers down Vaps' spine, but he eagerly complied to his friend's request as he laid on the bed. "Wonderful...~" he said before moving in closer to Vaps for another passionate kiss. They laid there, muzzles connected, eyes locked, and tails entwined as they got into the heat of the moment. Another ten seconds passed before they broke their kiss again for more air. As soon as they resupplied, they dove back in for another kiss, and another, and another.

"Mrrrrf..." Vaps moaned on their fifth kiss, feeling Espi's tongue glaze over his. Soon he found that his own tongue poked at the tip of his friend's maw, asking for entrance. Espi accepted the request when he opened it slightly, giving Vaps enough space to wiggle his tongue inside and explore his maw. He brushed the sides of his Espi's maw a couple times as he tasted his friend's saliva. He gave a slight grunt, letting Espi know he was running out of breath. They disconnected once more to catch their breaths, and Vaps went in for another kiss. Only this time his lips met Espi's paw instead of his muzzle. He gave a low growl of confusion.

"Just...*pant*...hold on there...*pant*...Vaps," Espi said in between pants. The psychic type leaned forward as if going in for another kiss, but instead he aimed lower for Vaps' neck. He started kissing the area, even nibbling a little bit which caused the vaporeon to moan.

"Ahh...~" he said as he felt his friend's teeth rub against his neck. Sharp waves of pleasure rolled through Vaps as his friend nibbled on him, causing him to shiver even harder than he had before. "Uh...*moan*..." The sound of his friend moaning only made Espi even more excited. He soon moved lower down the water-type's body to where he was licking his friend's ineffective nipples. "Ahh!" Vaps screeched, not expecting this kind of contact. The sudden jolts of pleasure he received from Espi turned him on more than he expected, as his sheath started unfolding allowing Vaps' deep red member poke out.
