Lunch Break
Stomach Space Transport is expanding its business opportunities to something that it holds dear to its heart: food. Look out for its services coming soon to a city near you!
After all, the quickest way to one's heart is through their stomach.
Either way this is a sort of experiment: how well can I write while having distractions going on around me, and without me being in 'super concentrate mode'. It's short and to the point, but a fun idea that came to me tonight thanks in part to Izjer! So, hope it holds up to my other works!
Waddling along, an aquatic dragon traveled along the side of a street. Blue scales shining in the light, still wet as if having come from the water, and aqua tinted fins made a very identifiable object when surrounded by on all sides by the drab colors found at an inner-city region. Jewelry flailed upon fins along the jawline, showing just how much of a hurry he happened to be in. Longer than a semi truck with a trailer, and certainly taller to the shoulders, he wiggled between traffic with haphazard steps. A look of embarrassment struck his face each time one of the paws came down to accidentally dent the hood of a vehicle and expletives being shared in response by the driver. Panting, he'd eventually reach a crowd of humans standing in a lot on the corner of two large streets.
"Grah! It's about time, we've got a job to do! Hurry on up, we need our lunches to get back to work," one of the humans in a suit shouted, tapping a watch on his wrist.
Nodding quickly, the large creature began to slowly situate himself off the street and into the lot, laying down on his belly. At this point one would be able to notice just how rotund the midsection of the dragon actually appeared. When laying down like this, after all, the gut bulged out to the sides much like that of a plump little lizard, indicating a large amount of contents hidden within. Reaching his head down, and opening it wide, the people lined up impatiently, looking into the gaping mouth with great interest.
Once Grah's purple tongue rolled out of the mouth, resting upon the ground, the closest human got onto his hands and knees and began clambering inside. Those waiting and still standing waved their hands over their faces, as if trying to bat away rather powerful scents coming from within. Even though the dragon seemed to be transporting food for the people to eat, the interior scents of his own actual diet permeated the air. Not only that, but while standing out in the sun, the thick humidity of that breath was felt in full effect. In a way it helped urge the people forward and into the mouth to escape the sunlight, one by one.
Sighing out quietly, the dragon's mouth opened ever wider as time went on to allow more of the hurried people some extra room to get in and out a bit quicker. Nearly three bodies could crawl inside at a time due to the cavernous nature of the maw. Thick rolls of saliva dribbled down to create a puddle around the point of rest for the tongue, in which those going within simply had to deal with by shaking their heads and pushing it around with their arms. Many of them seemed fairly used to moving inside of the dragon's mouth, as most didn't even exhibit much difficulty in dealing with the lack of friction in the slick environment.
From the outside those waiting to crawl inside could see those in front beginning to create distinct bulges in Grah's throat. A certain level of professionalism was exhibited by the large finned reptile, for he never swallowed at any point. All he did was shuffle in place slightly, taking slightly heavier breaths here and there, and pull his tongue back within the mouth to keep it from drying out too much. In fact for some of the slower folk, or those who seemed indecisive about the situation were helped inside via the tongue arching upwards and creating a convenient slope towards the back of the gaping throat. Small bumps formed in the sides of the belly, making it evident that the stomach space inside to be fairly spacious to allow movement.
After a couple minutes, some of the first people began to crawl back out through the mouth. They presented themselves as being utterly drenched in saliva and other liquids found inside the stomach. Despite that fact, they stood up to stretch after coming from the fleshy confines, and in their grasp some fairly sizable meals. Not only that but there appeared to be several different styles of food to be had. Everything ranging from hamburgers wrapped in tinfoil, tacos, and wraps to salads and elaborate fish meals seemed available for picking inside the stomach.
It took only a few minutes for the entire crowd of people to go into the body, and then back out with their lunch. Grah flicked the fins along his jawline quickly, perking them upwards and displaying them widely, as if showing a sense of pride. After all he serviced well over a couple hundred people in a short time frame. His belly lost much of its size as a visual indicator that most of the meals had been taken, to which he raised himself up and gave a nod to the people getting ready to return to their daily routine. Turning around he walked right back down the street where he once came, as if never having been there to begin with.
Looking around, one of the humans began to notice something amiss, asking others in his group, "hey, anyone see Jeff? I could have sworn he went in there with me."
