I can't even believe this vote is so close! All the Lucario-haters are coming out of the woodwork to mass vote for Meowscarada. Can the mods track the votes or something? It HAS to be botted or something! I'm sorry he eliminated Blaziken first round, but that's just the luck of the draw.

Meowscarada WISHES it was Lucario. Sure, they're both bipedal, covered in fur, they both have 'masks', but one is a goofy magician's assistant, and the other looks handsome, like a secret agent!

And I know this has nothing to do with the idea of being the sexiest, but type-wise, Lucario would eat Meowscarada for breakfast! Put them in a ring, Lucario wins every time.

Lucario is sexier, and everyone knows it. Meowscarada wouldn't even be up for debate if its first two matches were against anyone other than Simisage and Cyclizar.

Thread Title: "Tips on Getting a Pokemon's Attention?"

Hey! Long-time lurker, first-time poster here!

I was wondering, if anyone might have any tips? I saw the megathread about it, but I think this situation is a little different to the... usual kind of situation.

So, for background, the Pokémon in question is a Lucario. Let's call him "Luke" [EDIT: Have used a fake name at the suggestion of other users - sometimes I forget the "Anonymous" in Poképhiles Anonymous lol]. I've been Luke's trainer for about 20 years, I grew up with him in my family, and he was my "starter" when we started our Pokémon Journey.

I'm 100% certain I'm a Pokephile. I discovered that on my journey, like most of us did, but I never got to act on it. I think Pokémon are beautiful. They're sexy, smart, strong... They're absolutely everything. And I'm sorry to the sub-section of folk who call Lucario "overrated", but to me, Lucario is the whole package. They're so handsome, they're strong, intelligent, and so expressive, and they have that mystique about them... And so, to me, Luke is the sexiest of them all!

I know, it's a pretty common thing here, there are heaps of stories about girls and guys who fall in love with their first Pokémon, and start humping like nobody's business. But it's honestly not like that???

For one, I have not been able to get Luke to want to mate with me.

Before you all make assumptions - I KNOW he loves me. He's adorable, he gets bashful around me, he holds my hand when we go on a walk, he holds me when I have a bad day at work, or when I cry.

And I know, that all sounds like he's just a good Pokémon, looking after his trainer. But there's more. He kisses me when he thinks I'm asleep, kisses me on the forehead. He snuggles with me all the time. I'm sure he's attracted to me too, he gets hard if I'm ever in a swimsuit, or when I come out of the shower.

But, to be honest, I am a little worried that maybe I'm misreading things. And I know he's sensitive, I don't want to hurt his feelings, and I don't want to put pressure on him to do anything sexual or romantic with me if he doesn't actually want it.

So, that's why I'm asking here - I would love some tips!

How do I get a Pokémon to make the first move?

EDIT: Some users had questions, so I'll answer them here,

@Vulphumper: I did catch other Pokémon on my journey, but to be honest I wasn't a great trainer, I only caught a few other Pokémon, and I only got a handful of badges. After a while, I came home, and the Pokémon I caught all went to good homes, or were returned to the wild. I had a Staravia, a Pachirisu, and a Gloom by the time I decided to come home.

@CherrimBerry: I do like humans too! Call me a basic-bitch, but I have the same obsession with Volkner that half the girls here do. And Grusha, they're cute as hell <3 I'm totally a Grusha-truther, if they're not a Pokephile then I don't know WHO is lol.

@Raynedeerling: I think you're right, but I just can't do it... It would be so awkwarrrrrddddddd! I don't want to put pressure on him either way, that's why I want him to make the first move. (Absolutely LOVE your stuff BTW! Give your Pokémon extra headpats from me!)

Subject Title: "Luke The Lucario: Update!"

Hey, LucaLov3 here!

Thanks so much again for all the kind words on my last post! So many people had so many great suggestions! I'll get through to a few of them eventually!

Sad to say, I haven't had much progress getting him to make the first move. I tried two suggestions so far, and neither seemed to work.

First one, I used @Puppee's suggestion. I put on a romantic movie, made some popcorn (mixed with his favourite, chopped up Chesto Berries!), and got a big heavy blanket for us to share. I was dropping hints all night too! When the couple got together in the movie, I snuggled up next to him, and said something like "Isn't this romantic?" And he nodded... But then just kept watching the movie. I wrapped an arm around him, and he wrapped an arm around me, but... nothing happened.

The movie ended, he gave a little bow to thank me, then he wandered off hahaha.

Then, I used @Doink's suggestion. I went out to dinner with him. I found a really great Pokémon-friendly restaurant, and we had a romantic little dinner for two, even sat up on the balcony. People were giving us funny looks, I even got Luke to wear a little bow tie and everything, he looked SOOOOO CUTE!

[EDIT: @NanabBoy The restaurant is called Apricornia, in Hearthome City - really good place, you should definitely check it out, they have a menu designed for both humans AND Pokémon to enjoy and share together, it's really cool!]

[EDIT 2: I didn't doxx myself, don't worry hahaha! I'm not a Hearthome native (Or Am I? Muahaha), I had to travel a while to get there, but it was worth it for the experience]

It was a really nice night out for us both. The table was topped with candles; there was someone in the corner playing this traditional Johtoan folk music on some instrument I've never seen before.

I feel like I'm adding a lot of unnecessary details though, because the truth is that the dinner, while lovely, was also just... totally fruitless, in getting him to make the confession. He looked like he had something to tell me the entire time... And at one point, I even asked him "Luke, do you have something you'd like to say?". He got real close to me, leant over the table... And then he just dabbed my mouth with a napkin, because I had sauce on the corner of my lips. Maybe that's a step in the right direction? That he cares enough about me to clean up my mouth? Honestly, it's something that a Dad would do, not a lover.

I even used the part of the suggestion, I ordered a dessert for us to share, this little Pecha Berry, chocolate thing. I asked him to feed me, and he did, but he looked kinda... shy the whole time? I don't know if he liked it or if he was just being polite. It felt nice though, definitely the most like a couple we've felt.

I'm not going to be discouraged though! I can see the way he looks at me sometimes, when he thinks I'm not looking at him. He does these little chores and helps me a lot, without being asked. It's like his love language is Acts of Service, or something like that.

So yeah. That's the update. The last threat went a little viral, but got kinda sidetracked, so I'll ask again: Does anyone have any tips on how to get an emotionally-stubborn Pokémon to admit their feelings?

@Raynedeerling: Hello again! Honestly, I do worry that a little bit, that maybe I'm being too... pushy with it? I think of like, stories about guys trying to get girls to like them, and maybe this is a little like that? But Luke has never once seemed uncomfortable, or like he's just being polite and hoping that I'll stop. He seems to enjoy everything I've been doing here, so I figure I might as well continue.

Though, of course, if he says no, or ever wants me to stop, then that's exactly what I'll do. I guess I'll make a post if it ever gets to that stage.

OMG so many funny stories!

Mine just sounds like a bad porno - I've been trying to get my Lucario to make the first move with me, but I think he might be... broken? LOL

She's interrupted by her Pokémon, suddenly reaching over to the pizzas. He starts to pick pieces of sausage from his own pizza, dutifully placing them carefully atop her pizza. All the while, the woman stifles a laugh and looks into the camera once again.

"You know... That's not really what I meant..." She mumbles.

The Lucario pauses, and the pieces of sausage in his hand, he gently places atop the slice of pizza that the woman is currently holding. "Luu!" He declares, giving her a smile, before eating his own pizza - which by now has MUCH LESS meat atop it, basically a sad cheese pizza now.

The video ends with a bemused smile on the woman's face, as she simply replies with "...Thanks, bud."]

It's ya girl!

It finally happened, the big day! Me and Luke are Married! <3 (Though, not legally, of course LOL. One day, when it's legalised, we'll be first in line at the registry!)

I've seen that a few of my new friends had posted their experiences, so I don't need to go too in depth about it all, so I'll just give you all a quick rundown, for the Poképhiles who missed it!

The wedding itself, we couldn't have asked for a better day. We had the ceremony at this little estate just outside of Floaroma Town, in the middle of this orchid. It's actually a really common "normal" wedding venue, but the lady who owns the estate was more than happy to have us there. She's not a Pokephile, but thought it was really cute, and could not have been more helpful!

We ended up planning the wedding to be a very traditional, human-style wedding. As much as we'd have loved to incorporate traditional Lucario courtship rituals and things like that, there's actually very little information about them! (It seems weird, but I guess because Lucario are quite rare in the wild, there's not much chance to study them?) And in any case, Luke has never really been "wild", he's practically grown up human, with me, so it made sense to go down that road.

Though, I did try to match him a bit. I had my white dress, of course, but I had my good friend @CraftyScrafty make some alterations to it, giving it blue and cream-coloured trimming, like the colours of a Lucario, and I had my make-up done up almost to match the mask-like markings of a Lucario's head. And the veil was coloured a dark grey, so when it was lifted, it looked like the aura-sense appendages on the back of Luke's head.

It was a quick ceremony, we had a musician play a song (Thanks again, @ReturnOfDoink!) I walked down the aisle towards Luke - he was all dressed up in a gorgeous tuxedo, and the way he looked at me, I felt like the most beautiful woman in the world.

We said our vows (Well, I said mine, and he got @LitLeon to read his for him!), we said "I Do", and we kissed, in the middle of a field of gorgeous flowers, and a bunch of our friends!

It feels so surreal to say that Luke is my husband now, but he is! And I'm his wife. I love him more than anything else in this world, and it meant so, so much to me, that we could show our love to all our friends.

And even some of my family! I had to be really careful of course, but my older sister, and my little brother were there! My sister was a bridesmaid, and my brother was the MC for the reception! They're not Poképhiles, but they're allies. I can't say the same for Mom and Dad though; my parents weren't there, sadly. They don't know about me and Luke, and it's honestly for the best that they don't.

The reception was at the estate as well, they've got this function room on-site, even with on-site catering and everything! It was really cool, we had some great food, some great drinks, (@Greenade couldn't make it, but he paid for the bar for us! Some of you got HAMMERED hahaha!) and some great dancing.

Heard some great speeches too. I cried at every single one, especially the speeches by @Raynedeerling and @Eeveeveevee. I just felt so loved the whole day!

And the cake! Unfortunately, our baker fell through last-minute, but @SerperiorForce came in clutch and got something teleported in from Kalos! And it was absolutely gorgeous, he even 3d-printed a little Lucario and Me to top the cake!

We had the dance, Luke and I slow-danced to the song "Nights in Black Satin" by Gracie Deia - We got a lot of funny looks when it came on, it's not quite what you'd expect for a first-dance song, but we picked it because we'd sing it all the time when we were on our journey. It was so sweet, I really got lucky with such a loving, tender Pokémon!

It was such a fun night, I got to meet so many of you for the first time, got to meet so many like-minded individuals and their Pokémon! I woke up the next morning with a splitting hangover, and my best friend - and now HUSBAND!!! - by my side.

Ah, gosh! I'm just so, so happy!
