Ok, here we go!
Chapter 2 - Boldly Going
GN Headquarters, Unknown Planet
The raptor was garbed very well, a nice short skirt with a slit and a form fitting chest piece that shows off her flat belly. Even to the Centaurs she was a provocative piece, just like a huntress should be. The raptoress walks up to the podium, all eyes on her. "Representatives of the Galactic Union, I come before you today on behalf of my own race and the race of dragons with terrible news. Raptor forces have intercepted a flight of two Elven warships heading into our space towards one of our planets. Such action..."
She is interrupted as the Elven ambassador, a tall thin male with jewelry that would make you think he was gender challenged, stands up and shouts. "I object to this! How do you know the ships were ours? And how do you know they were bound for a planet in your system and not just flying thru as is allowed?"
A machine, a robot, standing above the podium band its fist to the steel nearby. "Ambassador Torak, you do not have the floor." It waits until the ambassador sits, then motions to the raptoress. "Please, proceed."
The raptoress nods. "Thank you. "As I said, we caught these Elven ships heading directly towards a planet in the shared Raptor-Dragon sector of our space, a district that allows our sisters to spread and flourish. We intercepted them, took the ships, and their crews, prisoner, and now hold them prisoner. The men on those ships were armed for war, and the ships themselves fired upon us when we moved to intercept. As the council knows, movement of armed ships and soldiers thru another race's space is grounds for embargo. The worst is Expulsion. While the Raptor do not want to see the Elves expelled from the council, we do officially protest these actions."
The Elf stands up again. "IF I understand you correctly, you say the space belongs to the dragons. I say we had permission from them to bring those ships in." This draws a few stares.
The moderator looks to the raptoress, then on to a dragon sitting nearby. "Do the dragons corroborate this story?"
The dragon shakes her head. "We do not." She says, her golden scales glistening in the light reflected from them.
"Because we had permission before this new ruling caste came to power." Protests Torak. "They had told us should their war reach a stalemate, we would be welcomed to come to their aid!"
It is the raptoress who speaks up now. "Come to their aid against what? A race you yourselves referred to as a myth not too many years ago when you approached mine for an alliance?" She is talking of a motion the elves had made to try to draw themselves closer to the dragons in much the same way a guy goes out with a girl's best friend when he has eyes for the girl, instead of the friend. "We called you false humans, you said humans were nothing but one of our religious myths. Now you turn around and say the dragons, mighty as they are, need help to defeat them?" She pauses, letting the absurdity of this sink in. "You tried before to gain our sisters thru us and failed. Now you have tried directly to gain them, and have failed." She glares at him. "Your ships, therefore, have no more purpose in raptor OR dragon space." Torak sits down, his posture straight and tense. "If we see your ships in our space again, elf, we will not capture, we will destroy."
With that, the raptor leaves the podium and heads to her seat next to the draconic representative. As Torak rises to makes a speech condemning this, the dwarven representative stands up. "We dwarves support the raptors in this." He says, drawing a smile from the dragoness, the dwarf has the exact same accent as the human 'Scottish' people. "We will support them and help them should the elves decide they want to resort to military means." Another supporter stands in the back in the form of the orc ambassador, though he only does this to separate the races who had once stood together to stop his.
Finally, Torak makes his stand. "This is absurd!" He calls out. "You act as if this simple thing were a deliberate act to take territory from them!" He looks at the raptor. "If you wish to halt trade with my race, so be it. We will not tolerate your kind in our systems." That draws a wince from some races. They had always tried not to allow racism to stir in the GN, but that comment smacked very plainly of it. "You will soon feel the pinch more than we will. All races know elves have the best economy, and when pirates start to infest your systems because we do not patrol them, we will do nothing."
The moderator looks around after this is said. Everyone is silent. "Let it be recorded that the relations between the Elven nation of Dremilan and the Raptor Dragon Union may now be classified as shaky peace."
Torak shakes his head. "Our quarrel is with the raptors, not the dragons." He says. "The dragons we will patiently wait for, we are confident they will soon come to their senses and if not leave, then chastise their sister race for this."
Washington, D.C, Earth
Davis sighs. Finally, Saturday. A day for him to just sit back and...his phone rings. "DAMMIT!" He yells at the clouds, then rolls over. "Hello?" He asks as soon as the phone reaches his ear.
"Que paso, Davis!" Oscar says on the other end. "Hey, wey, I'm having a barbeque perro I have no beer. You want to pick some up and come over for some enchilladas?"
Davis grins on his end. "Sure, let me guess, though. Corona?"
"Fuck no. Get some Guinness." Comes the response. Then a light female voice from the phone comes up too. "Oh, and the misses wants some nacho cheese."
Davis nods. "Sure thing." he says. "I'll be over in..." he checks his watch. "A half hour."
"See you here then, heffe." He says, then a click. Davis gets up and heads inside, getting himself dressed in some shorts and a t shirt. Barbeques at Oscar's house always were interesting, and fun. He reaches out with his mind, finding Saphyra a short ways away on her way over, and smirks. That girl never gives up. It had been three days since she found him on the work site, and every day she came looking for him.
~Hello~ comes into his mind, Saphyra had noticed him finding her. He sends back his greetings. He's not mastered it yet, but he can speak with his mind.
~I'm heading out to a friend's house. Care to lose your Blues and come with?~ He asks, experienced enough to pick up the mild surprise she feels at having him guess she was in her dress blues again.
~Sure~ She says back, warmth in her tone. Davis draws back his mind, not all the way, it's become more and more difficult to do so over time, especially since the end of the War. He grabs his keys and gets into his Mustang, putting down the top. He starts it, puts it into gear, and starts off, the engine roaring behind him.
Five minutes later, as he drives along the highway, a shadow falls over his car. He looks up to see Saphyra flying overhead. He merges over into the carpool lane as she comes lower, then suddenly, the shadow vanishes, and she drops down into the passenger seat in the nude. That surprises him. "You had enough time to go back and get out of your blues?" He asks as she starts pulling on her swimming suit. He tries not to stare at the more...feminine...parts.
"Yes." She says. "Now that we're back on Earth, we have more ability than we had before." She raises her arms. "How do I look?" Davis' silence and his stare for half a second are all the praise she needs. She thought that a white bikini would look good on her.
"We're making a stop." Davis says, changing the subject, so abruptly that it makes her grin despite herself, and stays in the car a few minutes later when Davis gets out to get the beer and nacho cheese. Oscar would make it up by buying them lunch on Monday.
Fifteen minutes later, they stop outside Oscar's house. The sound of traditional Mexican music comes from the back yard, the tuba keeping the beat rather than the drums. Davis just goes to the back yard directly. "Hey, Oscar! Open the gate!" The misses comes over and smiles, opening the gate and taking the cheese.
"Oscar, he brought a guest!" She calls out.
Davis comes around, looking over the pool, Saphyra grinning. "Oh, hey there." Oscar says. "Man, Davis. You sure got an eye." He winks, which makes Davis blush. "Oh, come on." He says. "I knew you going back to the Air Force wasn't just some fluke! We gotta make next week the good one though, heffe. Send you off to the sky in style, you know?"
And so the party started, guests coming over, their coworkers from the local union, in all, fifteen more people. Horseshoes are played, meat, cheese, and tortillas are cooked and eaten, and the kids generally have fun, after their initial fright of Saphyra subsides. Even Saphyra has a good time, mingling with the wives and older daughters, while the sons had their fun in the pool playing volleyball.
At the end, it's dark, and Davis has drank just a little bit more than his fill. He isn't guarding his mind at all, and Saphyra uses the opportunity to full advantage, widening her connection to his mind until a full bond is in place, exactly what she wanted. Were they at war, she'd have him as her slave, but now, she's equal with him. And worried about him, as he staggers to his car. "Oh no." she says out loud. His mind was too foggy for mental communication. "You're not driving." She takes off her bikini and puts it in the car, pushing him back from it after. She then goes into the street and shifts, making sure as she does that she does not hit anything. She then puts Davis in his car, grabs the car between her two front legs, and takes to the sky, relying only a little bit on magic to take her to the house just a small distance away that belongs to him.
Once there, she shifts down and leads him inside. He is grumbling by now about wanting to sleep, only barely making himself go get some water before going to his bed. Once in his room, however, Saphyra feels weak to her knees. The bed was big enough for two. Why would he have that? She knew he was single. She musters up her courage however, chiding herself. ~Come now...~ She says to herself. ~You've been in battle, this should not scare you!~
Davis smirks at this. "You act like ya want to bone me while I'm drunk." He teases. This makes her blush furiously and put up walls around her mind, though the thought of riding him, of having all the pleasure she can from him, of making the Bond with them official in all its glory, proves very tempting. Too tempting, in fact. She finds herself regretting that bottle of wine as she lays him down on the bed and licks along his neck.
"I'm not acting anymore..." she says seductively, her hand going down to push down his shorts, her feet finishing the job as she rolls onto him. Davis only grins up at her, too drunk to really care, and wondering what it will be like, even as he feels her tail wrap around his leg, her lips come down to his, and her tongue caressing over his own. His cock springs up, and just as soon, is engulfed in the warmth of Saphyra's embrace as she sinks herself down onto him and starts bouncing, shuddering and moaning every time the flesh of his rod parts her sex, molding herself with her magics as she rides until she fits him perfectly, an undoable change for as long as the bond lasts.
She rides him, using all her strength. She rolls her hips as she hilts to further tease herself and him. She stares into his eyes with such love and affection in her eyes she would have never thought it possible just two years ago. Davis was loving this, his mouth open slightly, breath coming in ragged pants as the dragoness rides him. He brings his hands up, stroking along her sides as she bounces on him, admiring the smoothness of the scales beneath his hands, how soft she feels as she rides, then, even more so, the pleasure she was feeling as the walls around her mind falter and fail, every single bounce sending a jolt of pleasure thru them both, Saphyra moaning out loudly and proudly, squeezing her own breasts, her tongue teasing her nipple as she bounces. A sense of rightness comes over Saphyra even as Davis' seed rushes up into her, her pleasured roar merging with his ecstatic moan as they climax together, locked in such by their link, then she collapses on top of him, breathing heavily, taking in his sweaty, musky scent, recording it, and smiling. She was complete now. Her last thought was how happy she was that her mortal enemy two years ago had now turned into her lifelong mate.
Morning came all too soon for both of them, but the first thing Davis notices when he wakes is the touch of Saphyra's mind. ~Good Morning Brent.~ She says softly in his mind, and nuzzles him with her muzzle. He kisses her back and stretches, arms going up and feet straightening out, an assortment of pops coming from him. He then gets up and looks around. Something was different. The world was somehow clearer.
"Last night was amazing." Comes Saphyra's voice, she too rising, but in contrast to him, she goes to the window and looks out over the back yard. Davis rubs his head. "Yeah...Amazing." He says, going for some Tylenol. He had the glass of water to thank for not having a splitting headache, but he still felt the affects of the twelve packs and three shots of tequila from last night's party. His next considered action was to lay down in bed and wait for the pain to subside. It surprises him, then, to feel strength come into his body from Saphyra's mind, easing away his pain, pushing it back and making it bearable, replaced by...love...affection. Things that he wasn't expecting.
"Something up?" He asks, looking at her. When she turns, he immediately recognizes the look, his mind connecting the smile and light in Saphyra's eyes to the look his old girlfriend gave before the war. "What exactly happened last night?" He asks. "I remember the sex, but there was more to it, wasn't there?"
Saphyra nods, beaming. "We are now truly Bonded." She says, making Davis stare at her.
"Bonded?" He asks, then stammers to correct himself. "I mean, I know what it means, but it happened? Last night? There's no ceremony?" He's shocked by it more than anything.
"Why yes." She says. "The ceremony for the Bond is no more important than a wedding is to humans, as long as you've gone to your Justice of the Peace." She slides into bed next to him. "You and I will share in our lives together. Not even death shall part us." She says, and in her eyes, Davis finds such love and contentment that he feels his shock drain away, affection reigning in his heart.
"I'm glad." he says, wrapping an arm around her.
Three Weeks Later
"She's a tried old bird." Davis says, looking over the F-15 they had recovered from what was Japan. They were still doing search and rescues of the more devastated areas. An airbase outside of Tokyo had this F-15. "Think we'll be able to salvage her and make her fly?"
Wedge shakes his head. "It'll be a long shot." he says. "But they may be able to. The question is, who will fly it?"
Davis grins. "I will, for air shows." He says. "It'll be good for people to know of the old Air Force." He looks at the new F22-SF sitting not too far away from it, the fighter having the same proven shape and abilities of the original F22 A, but instead of the jet intakes, the fuselage curves up to join with the top part of the fighter. "Imagine what the Lineage Flight will be like." he says.
Wedge scoffs. "Hell, we've already got a space station being built...again." he looks up. "I'm just waiting for the Enterprise to do a flyby. That'd be gangsta." He turns and claps Davis on the shoulder. "Come on, time to go suit up for our patrol." Davis nods and turns, heading into the hangar. There Saphyra is waiting, along with another pilot, this one a rookie.
"Major Davis, sir!" He says, snapping to attention and saluting. "It'll be an honor to fly on your wing sir!" He says, overly excited.
"At ease, rook." Davis says, returning his salute. He knew from Saphyra he had already done his overly excited salute and prattle to her. He looks at Saphyra. It amazes him how the natural abilities of dragons have been augmented by human technology. Saphyra has on armor similar to those of a knight, it covers her neck and the top of her head. Her helmet's eye pieces even have assisted targeting for long range attacks. Her wings are inside a metal coating that will protect them from attack and assist her in maneuvering in space, leaving her to save her magic for breathing, allowing her to stay in space as long as she wants to wear the armor. All along her body, pieces of armor line her, and while not completely covering her, they give her a near anime-ish feel.
~Are you ready, beloved?~ She asks in his mind. Davis nods, getting into his 22 and starting it up. Soon all four are heading out to the runway. Saphyra is first, she opens her wings, the metal only covering her wing arms, and with a running start, takes to the air. Once in the air she tests her capabilities, doing a snap roll, not losing any altitude as she does, then turning, her tail end actually swings as she does. She never gets tired of that. She looks down to see the three F22s lined up on the runway.
As one, the F22s put on the thrust, accelerating down the runway and taking off like normal fighters do, except no afterburner. They climb up together into the sky and bank up and around, coming over towards her. Davis takes the lead, Saphyra falling in just behind and above him, while Wedge and the Rookie take up positions on her either side, just behind her, so the formation resembles an inverted Y. Then they pull up and head towards the sky.
For Davis, this is something he never did before, so it's as new to him as it is to the rookie when the blue sky turns to black and stars show at one o'clock in the afternoon. ~Oh wow...~ he says in the privacy of his mind, choosing to ignore the amusement coming from Saphyra. Davis looks up and around and sees Saphyra has stopped flapping and has covered her wings in their armor, the blue of the thrust coming from their tips mimicking the blue coming from the ends of the fighters. Humans were coming along now. "Alright, peel left to 270 and we'll make a flyby of the station. Thrust to 80 percent." This kicks them up to speed, now going four times the speed of sound, they fly towards the moon.
About halfway between the Earth and the moon, a small dot appears, rapidly enlarging to a space station being constructed. It looks very similar to the star bases in Star Trek, in specific, Starfleet Command. He smiles at this. Of course the Trekkies would have pushed NASA into making the space station after their 'better future'. Not to mention that the design allowed for the structure that humans are used to. Everything went up, the engineering and mechanicals on the bottom, civilian in the middle, and the ever-watchful military on top where the docks were to be.
His radio chatters to life. "Rogue Leader, this is Earth Command. We read you coming in from vector 90, confirm."
Davis nods. "Confirm Earth Command. We are inbound on vector 270 for fighter familiarization, over."
"Roger that Rogue Leader. The field is set up. Good luck boy, these new missiles aren't supposed to be as explosive as the last ones. Out."
Davis shakes his head at that. Leave it to some jug head on the radio to get the rookie nervous. "Alright boys, kick it up to attack speed." He says, pushing his throttles to 90%. Soon the targets come into view. "I've got a tone." he says as his radar locks on. "Firing." He pushes the button on his stick. A missile streaks away from his craft. He watches it as it turns at what would be a high G turn to follow the drone, and rams straight into the drone's engines, blowing the small machine to pieces. "Fire at will two and three." Missiles from the other two fighters streak in and blow away the smaller drones. Saphyra then flies past, heading for the larger of the targets. She fires her beam, the blast cutting threw the two smaller drone targets between her and the larger target, and then, upon hitting the large satellite, blows it to pieces with a single hit.
"Well now, I'd say we've had a successful test." Wedge calls over. Their mental shield switches songs then, Saphyra taking charge of it, and as they fly back to base, they listen to her favorite song, "Everybody wants to rule the world."
==============================================================================
Yes, I know I didn't mention the others in this part, but it ended up being so large I decided to split it up for length consistency. Don't worry, I'll put the next part up within the week.
