Wolves 2:

Silver Hoop

By WhiteClaw

It was hardly what you would call a restaurant. The place was more of a fast food rest stop, and in truth

that's what it should have been. But people still came in and sat down to eat, expecting to be served and

paying for a restaurant meal.

Not so hard to guess who the true suckers in that equation were.

Caleb played with his napkin, attempting to fold it into different shapes. The best he'd managed so far was

crumpling the napkin into a ball out of sheer frustration. His little brother Alex was sitting across from

him, happily coloring on one of the paper place mats, and for a moment Caleb envied him in that

distraction.

There was a similar place mat in front of Caleb and a small collection of crayons available off to the side.

Caleb, however, was a senior in high school, eighteen, and therefore much too concerned with image to

actually grab a crayon and start coloring.

"When is Jeffery coming home?" Alex asked without looking up from his place mat. They had sat down

several minutes ago, but had yet to receive any type of service. Alex, who was easily bored, often turned to

conversation to pass the time.

Caleb gave up on his second attempt to make something interesting out of his napkin and threw it aside

with a growl. "I don't know," he said with an air of indifference. "He's probably with...Mike."

Alex stopped coloring for a minute. His ears swiveled slightly and he twitched his gray tail as he thought.

"That's his boyfriend, isn't it?" Alex asked innocently.

"Shut up!" Caleb hissed and then instantly began scanning the area to see if anyone else had heard Alex's

all too loud statement. When he was sure no one had been paying attention, he turned on Alex. "What did

I tell you about talking about that in public!" Caleb said, his own white tail twitching in agitation.

"Talking about what?" Alex said, the innocence in his voice marred only by the devilish grin now

spreading across his face. "Oh!" he said, dragging out the vowels in his words. "You mean Jeffery's

boyfriend!" He said the last word in an almost singsong voice.

Caleb briefly considered how many years they'd put him away if he killed Alex here and now, and said as

much out loud.

Alex just laughed, but he realized he might have gone too far and he too scanned to see if anybody had

been listening in. "Nobody's listening to us anyway," Alex said, with false confidence. "Besides, it's not

like it's a big deal. Everybody knows that Jeffery's gay."

Despite, his little speech, Alex had whispered the last part. Alex was pretty smart for a twelve-year-old

kid, but he was still a kid, and certain words were still taboo in his dictionary.

"I thought you liked Mike, anyway," Alex said, a hurt quality to his voice. Alex and Caleb had both been

introduced to Mike only a month ago, but Alex had taken an instant liking to him. Caleb, however, had

been a little hurt to find out that Jeffery and Mike had been together for over three months without Jeffery

even coming out to them. Thinking about it, though, Jeffery's sexuality hadn't been as big a shock as

Caleb thought it would be, and Alex for the most part had accepted it immediately and without question.

Even more intriguing was the story of how Jeffery and Mike had started dating. A story that Jeffery had

initially edited for Alex's sake and later dutifully filled in the details for Caleb. Overall, Caleb had come to

like Mike and even understood why Jeffery liked him, considering how cute he was...

Caleb ground his teeth on that thought as if he could somehow grind the thought out of his head. As much

as Caleb was concerned about his image, he was even more concerned about the number of similarities

between him and his older brother. Appearance wise they were similar, both having white fur and blue

eyes. The only difference was that Caleb had short, light brown hair and was smaller and thinner than

Jeffery. But their similarities ran into everything, from taste in music and clothes to their preferences in

food and, the aspect Caleb feared most, people.

"I do like Mike," Caleb said. To himself he muttered, "That's part of the problem."

Alex twitched his ears forward. As the youngest, Alex was a strange combination, having gray fur, brown

eyes, and blond hair. But despite his age, Alex possessed a strong attention to detail and was more than a

little aware of Caleb's inner struggle with himself. The overall situation didn't make sense to him,

however. In his eyes, having one older brother who was gay wasn't any different from having two or from

having both of his brothers be straight, so he didn't understand why Caleb was having such a hard time

dealing with it.

Alex started to say something but suddenly looked up when he noticed someone standing next to their

table. Caleb looked up as well and both were surprised when they realized it was their waiter.

He was a wolf, standing around Caleb's height, and looked to be in his early twenties. His fur was brown,

and his hair had been dyed a too bright, bleach blond and spiked up with generous amounts of hair gel. His

obvious dark roots suggested his natural hair was either black or dark brown, and streaks of color had been

applied to the back of his ears. In each ear he wore a small, silver hoop earring and had three silver rings

on his paws, one on each of his middle fingers and the final one on his left thumb. Around his neck he

wore a simple silver chain that hugged close to his fur.

On any other occasion, Caleb would have thought him just another street kid with a weird sense of style,

but he was wearing a pair of black dress pants along with a white button up shirt and a nametag that

identified him as Tom.

Tom was obviously used to the shocked looks customers gave him. He smiled at Caleb and Alex's reaction

and asked if they were ready to order. Alex was the first to recover. "We want pizza, right Caleb?"

"Um," Caleb said distractedly. He was having a hard time concentrating for some reason. "Yeah," he

finally said, tearing his gaze from Tom. "Pepperoni," he added.

"And what would you like to drink?" Tom asked. He paused for a moment as if considering something.

"Sir," he added with a purr.

Caleb felt like every hair on his body was standing on end. Maybe it was his appearance or just the way

he'd said that last word, but for some reason this Tom guy was making him extremely nervous.

Having finally picked up on the fact that something was wrong with Caleb, Alex decided to answer for

him. "We'll both have Coke," he said.

Tom gave Alex a wink as he left and returned a moment later with two Cokes. In the span of time it'd

taken Tom to get the drinks, Caleb had forced himself to calm down.

The Tom guy was just a little weird, that was all. It was nothing to get worked up about. Caleb looked up

when Tom returned and once again found it hard not to stare. As much as he kept telling himself that it

was just Tom's strange appearance, part of him argued that there was something else drawing his attention.

"Here you are," Tom said handing each of them a glass. "Would you like anything else?"

"Nah, I'm fine," Alex said with his customary nonchalance.

A broad smile spread across Tom's face. "And what about your cute friend, who doesn't speak?" he said,

leering at Caleb.

Caleb felt all the blood rush to his ears and face and was sure his fur had turned pink from embarrassment.

"Nah, he's fine, too," Alex said, seemingly unfazed by Tom's question or its implications.

"Well, I won't disagree with you there," Tom said, and with another wink he was gone.

Alex, who had gone back to coloring on his place mat, waited a few moments until after Tom had left to

look up at Caleb. Caleb, for the most part, was taking the situation very calmly. Both of his paws were

gripping the table edge very hard, but aside from that he appeared relatively calm.

"I think he likes you," Alex said, his voice calm and impassive. He busied himself with coloring for the

next several minutes. When he looked up again, Caleb's position hadn't changed. Realizing this was a

situation calling for the utmost diplomacy, Alex did what any twelve-year kid brother would do. He

reached out his foot under the table and kicked Caleb hard in the leg.

"Ow, that hurt!" Caleb said reaching down to rub the area where Alex had kicked him. "Why'd you do

that?"

Alex's voice slipped into a good impression of a southern accent. "Because I do believe you have a

gentleman caller," he said, while forcing himself to keep a straight face.

"That's not funny," Caleb said angrily.

"I didn't say it was. Notice I'm not laughing." Both of Alex's hands were now under the table, and,

unseen by Caleb, he was continually pinching himself to keep from smiling. Caleb frowned but didn't say

anything. "Well, are you going to say anything to him when he comes back?"

"Yeah, I'll ask him if we can have a different waiter."

Alex wasn't sure whether to laugh or be upset by that statement. He scanned the restaurant looking for

Tom, an easy task given his bright hair color, and watched him for a few minutes as he took an order from

another table. "He's not flirting with anybody else," Alex said turning back to face Caleb. "I think he

actually thinks you're cute." Caleb didn't respond. "I guess we both know what that means." Alex paused

for affect. "He must be blind."

Caleb looked up and stared at Alex. After a minute a grin spread across his face. Caleb turned his head in

an attempt to hide it, but Alex could tell he'd already won.

"In fact it's pretty amazing how he gets around without a walking stick," Alex continued. "And I wonder

how he keeps from bumping into everyone."

By now Caleb was chuckling and he raised his paws in surrender. "Alright, alright, you win," he said.

Alex beamed with satisfaction. "Good, now tell me what you're going to do when he comes back."

Caleb shrugged. "Um, what do you mean?

"Well, he did hit on you," Alex said exasperated. "Aren't you supposed to flirt with him back or

something?"

Caleb gave him a skeptical look. "One, I doubt you've ever even been on a date, Alex, so I don't think you

can hand out advice on the matter."

Alex shrugged. "Eh, I have television. What more could I need to know?"

Caleb rolled his eyes. "And two, I'm not interested."

Alex smirked at that. "Bull shit."

"Alex!" Caleb said outraged. "When did you start saying things like that?"

"I have you and Jeffery as role models," Alex said calmly. "When do you think? Besides, it's true.

C'mon, you should go out with him."

"Alex, drop it."

"You're just scared you'll end up like Jeffery--"

"Alex, I said drop it!" Caleb shouted. He'd fought to keep his voice low, but it was still filled with anger.

Suddenly conscious of how loud they were getting, Alex dropped his voice to a sullen whisper. "I don't

see what's so bad about being like Jeffery."

"Alex, I don't want to talk about this with you," Caleb said, now sounding more tired than angry. "So just

drop it, okay?"

Alex started to say something but stifled his reply when Tom suddenly appeared with their pizza. Caleb

turned away and stared at the wall while Tom set the pizza down, and Alex could tell from Tom's face that

he was slightly hurt by Caleb's action.

"Will there be anything else?" Tom asked. He was still smiling, but some of the laughter had gone out of

his voice.

Alex kicked Caleb under the table again causing Caleb to grunt, but Caleb still refused to say anything or

look away from the wall. "Uh, you'll be back with our check later won't you?" Alex asked.

"Yes, unless you want it now," Tom said a bit confused.

"No, that's okay. We're fine for right now." Alex was slightly distracted as a plan formed in his mind, and

he didn't pay much attention when Tom turned and left.

Caleb waited until he was sure Tom was gone to turn back towards the table, and he and Alex ate in silence

for the next several minutes. Finally Alex looked up from his food and spoke. "Caleb, can I ask you a

question?"

Caleb nodded without looking up.

"And if I ask you...will you promise to tell the truth?"

Caleb finally looked up from his pizza. "Yeah, sure," he said, puzzled.

"Do you hate Jeffery because he's gay?" Alex asked quietly.

Caleb's eyes widened, shocked by the question. "No, of course not," Caleb said. "I'd never hate Jeffery."

"Then do you hate Mike?" Alex sounded upset as if he already knew the answer.

Caleb sighed. "Alex, look, you know that sometimes I get mad at you for talking about them in public like

that, but you know how most people are, and I just don't want a scene."

Alex frowned and thought about this for a minute. "So you're ashamed of them?"

Caleb sighed again. "It's not that simple Alex. Look, I love Jeffery, and I really like Mike, but it's...it's

complicated. I don't really know how to explain it."

Alex nodded and seemed to accept this answer. "Okay so can I ask you another question?"

"Yeah."

Alex looked directly at Caleb, careful to watch his every expression. "And will you promise to tell the

truth?"

Caleb chuckled. "Yeah, sure."

Alex paused for a minute to build up his courage and asked, "Are you gay?"

Caleb was a pretty surprised by the question to say the least and breathed in sharply. He looked down at

the table feeling suddenly embarrassed. "Alex...why are you asking that?"

"Are you?" Alex demanded.

Baffled at Alex's persistence, Caleb struggled with his answer. "Alex...."

"You promised you'd tell me the truth," Alex pressed. "You said you'd tell me. So are you gay?" Alex's

voice was still low, but Caleb could hear the pleading in his voice. He wanted to know, and he was

begging Caleb to tell him the truth. The truth to something Caleb wasn't sure if had an answer for.

This was just too much. Finally, Caleb opened his mouth and gave the first answer that came to mind. His

voice was dry and cracked but the words came out just the same. "Yes." Horrified by his own statement

he quickly added, "Maybe. I don't know, Alex. I...I don't want to talk about it."

But despite his words, Caleb felt as if a weight had been lifted off him, while simultaneously feeling very

weak. He'd never admitted his feelings to anyone, in truth not even to himself, but at the back of his mind

he'd known it was a possibility for a long time. Even more so when Jeffery had come out to him. Having

Alex ask him point blank like that was the last way he'd expected to come out, but now it was too late to

take it back.

Alex, however, seemed happy about the news to the point that he was actually bouncing up and down in his

seat. "Then you can go out with Tom," he said excitedly.

"Whoa there, I don't think so," Caleb said hastily. Things were moving way too fast here.

A look of disappointment suddenly spread across Alex's face. "Huh! Why not?" Alex asked. "What, you

don't think he's cute?"

Cute?! Here he'd been dragged out of the closet by no less than his twelve-year-old, little brother, and now

he was being asked to judge whether a guy was cute or not?

But then it wasn't like Tom was ugly or anything. In fact he was kind of handsome, especially with those

beautiful dark brown eyes...Whoa, time to derail that train of thought.

"Well, no it's not that...." Caleb stuttered. This conversation was making it increasingly hard to form

complete words and sentences.

"So you do think he's cute?" Alex pressed.

"Well...Alex, quit trying to set me up, here," Caleb said flustered. "Look, I can't just go on a date with

him. I don't even know him, and I'm not even sure if he'd be interested."

"Oh please, he hit on you. Twice. And you know that his name is Tom and that he's a waiter. Plus you

already admitted you think he's cute and obviously he feels the same way about you. What more do you

want, a bolt of lightning?" Alex had gotten quite worked up through the course of his little speech and

finished it by lifting his paw and sending it though the air in a zigzag pattern, mimicking a lightning bolt.

Caleb sunk down in his seat and brought his paws up to massage his temples. "Alex..." Caleb was sure

there was something very wrong with Alex's logic, but his thoughts felt fuzzy, and it was hard to think of

anything specific.

Feeling the battle was nearly won, Alex decided to call an early victory. "C'mon, you know you're gonna

lose here. Why not just give in?"

"Alex, look, I can't just--" Caleb's argument suddenly disappeared, along with his voice as Tom walked

up to their table bringing with him their check. Caught off guard, Caleb didn't think to turn away and

found himself staring at Tom once again. Now, that he actually had a chance to get a good look at him,

Caleb had to admit that Tom wasn't just handsome, he was beautiful. His build was slightly larger than

Caleb's though he wasn't nearly as big as Jeffery. Instead he had a more lean look while still being well

muscled. Overall, he was extremely attractive, making Caleb suddenly feel self-conscious about his own

body.

"Here you are," Tom said, handing them their check. "Is there anything else I can get for you?" He

glanced at Caleb, but Caleb noticed he didn't leer this time. He also noticed that he didn't sound quite the

same as he had when he'd first come by. With a pang of guilt, Caleb realized that he seemed a lot less

cheerful, too.

"Actually, my older brother was wondering if he could ask you out on a date," Alex said, as calmly as if he

were asking if he could have a few more napkins. "But he's too shy to admit it," he added.

Caleb had the sudden and fervent desire that the earth would open up and swallow him then and there.

Tom, on the other hand, looked extremely happy about the news. His ears perked up and his eyes cast a

hopeful glance at Caleb. "Really now," Tom said, with obvious interest. "Do go on."

Alex considered for a moment. "You could go out Friday," Alex said. "Seven o'clock?"

Caleb was too dumbfounded to respond, but somewhere in the back of his mind he was dimly aware of the

fact that his younger brother was actually making a date for him.

"What about eight, instead?" Tom said.

"Sure, it's a date then," Alex said. He scribbled something on a napkin with his crayon and handed it to

Tom. "This is our address and phone number. You can pick him up at...." Alex paused. "Or wait, maybe

he should pick you up. Which is it?" Alex asked confused.

Caleb would have laughed if he weren't still in shock.

"I can pick him up," Tom said with a chuckle. He turned towards Caleb, an aura of hope radiating from his

entire body. "Considering he'll actually agree to it."

"Oh, he'll agree to it," Alex said. He leaned in across the table towards Caleb "Say, yes," Alex said,

giving him a kick under the table for good measure.

"How 'bout it?" Tom asked, flashing a killer smile at Caleb.

Caleb was pretty sure he'd lost touch with reality, but as far as he could tell, Tom actually wanted to go on

a date with him. With him! And he was even doing the asking. Or rather, Alex had done it. But Tom had

actually said yes. He'd said yes! It was all so hard to believe.

Caleb hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do. But he couldn't deny that he thought Tom was cute.

And besides, one date couldn't hurt, could it? Just to see what it was like, maybe...Wait, was that one of

his own thoughts or something Alex had said? At this point Caleb realized he didn't care. If he was going

to do it, he might as well get it over with.

Somehow he managed to find just enough of his voice to say "Alright."

Alex cheered and clapped his paws, and Tom leaned down next to Caleb and whispered in his ear, "I'll pick

you up at eight, this Friday, then." Then he leaned in closer and darted his tongue out to lick Caleb's ear.

Caleb flinched and felt himself blush, but before he could think of anything to say, Tom had already gone.

* * *

"Oh, hey Mike, how are you?" Caleb said.

Mike's voice crackled slightly over the phone. "Fine. Here, just a sec." Caleb heard Mike shuffling

something around on the other end of the phone and the static disappeared. "There, that's better. Anyway,

yeah, I'm fine, how 'bout you?"

"Good, good," Caleb said a little nervously. He'd never quite mastered the art of making small talk with

Mike. Despite his own newly realized...interests, Caleb was still a little uncomfortable about the concept

of talking to his older brother's boyfriend. "Er, is Jeffery, there?"

"Yeah sure, just a sec."

Caleb heard a rustling of sheets, accompanied by the sound of a phone passing from a hand to a paw, and

was suddenly struck with the realization that Mike and Jeffery were probably in bed together.

"Hey little bro," Jeffery said, the sound of his deep voice flowing through the receiver having a relaxing

affect on Caleb. "What's up?"

"Hope I wasn't interrupting anything," Caleb said wryly.

Jeffery just laughed and Caleb joined in. Their conversations usually went like this, and it was comforting

to know that despite all that had changed, this had gone untouched. "So did you want something or are you

just calling to inquire about my sex life?" Jeffery said with a chuckle.

Caleb hesitated. "Actually Alex has been bugging me to call you and find out when you're visiting."

"Hmm, well let's see this is Friday, the big night, right?"

Caleb gulped, a surge of panic running through him. Did Jeffery already know? Had Alex called Jeffery

and told him? Did Tom somehow know Jeffery? Or even Mike? "What do you mean?" Caleb said, barely

able to keep the panic out of his voice.

Jeffery chuckled. "Oh nothing, just y'know, figured you had a date or something."

"Why would you think that?" Caleb said defensively.

"Um, no reason," Jeffery said slowly. Caleb could almost hear Jeffery frown on the other end of the phone.

Suddenly he realized Jeffery didn't know anything. This was just normal conversation. The usual banter

that they had kept up over the years.

The realization came so suddenly that Caleb missed what Jeffery said next. "Um, what?"

"I said, are you okay?" Jeffery asked, concerned.

"Oh, yeah, sure. Anyway, when are you coming home?"

"Well I think we're leaving early tomorrow so we'll probably get there around late afternoon."

Caleb kept his voice neutral. "So Mike is coming too, then?"

"Yeah," Jeffery said. He paused for a moment. "Um, is that okay?"

"Yeah, sure it's fine," Caleb said a bit too quickly.

"Cal...is everything alright?"

Caleb was silent for a minute. He'd originally meant to talk to Jeffery about his date with Tom, but the

more he thought about it, the harder it was to think of anything to say. Even more, he was suddenly

worried about what Jeffery would say.

"Is something going on tonight?" Jeffery pressed.

That was a little too close to home there. "I gotta go, Jeffery. Alex has to use the phone."

"What? It's almost eight o'clock. Who would Alex be calling this late?"

"I'll see you tomorrow," Caleb said, completely ignoring the question.

"Cal, what's going--" Caleb hung up the phone, cutting Jeffery off. He felt his face flush hot with

embarrassment, but right now he just wasn't ready to face Jeffery.

A minute later the phone rang and Caleb felt his breath catch in his throat. One ring...two. After the

seventh it finally stopped. Caleb let out the breath and stared at the phone waiting another minute to see if

it would ring again.

It didn't.

Caleb leaned back on the couch. For once, Friday had come too fast. He was currently home alone, sitting

in the living room, with Alex safely at a friend's house until tomorrow.

Which reminded him that he was going to have some heavy explaining come tomorrow, not only for

hanging up on Jeffery, but for lying as well. No doubt Alex would open his mouth before Caleb could get

to Jeffery and completely blow away the lie about him needing the phone.

Tom hadn't even showed up yet, and already things were getting complicated.

Caleb got up and checked himself one more time in the mirror. He had dressed up in a good pair of dark

jeans and a tucked in, plain white tee shirt. He'd put a blue-gray button-up shirt over that, but he'd left the

shirt unbuttoned and loose in an attempt to look casual. Underneath it all he was wearing a black pair of

silk boxers.

He remembered how he'd made a show of buying them, saying he was going to save them for a special

occasion. This wasn't exactly how he'd pictured said occasion, but if this didn't count, then he wasn't sure

what did. Of course there was still the question of whether he'd actually get a chance to use them. It didn't

help that the fabric was rubbing against his crotch in a stimulating way.

Caleb felt a surge of panic rise inside him. What if Tom didn't like him after all? What if he didn't find

him attractive? Or what if he did and wanted to go all the way? Caleb had never even been on a date with

another guy let alone in bed with one. And there was still the whole problem about position...

He glanced at his watch. Seven forty-five. Fifteen minutes till eight, and already he was getting worked

up.

Caleb forced himself to take a deep breath and relax. "Just don't think about it," he said to himself and

went back over to the couch to sit and wait.

* * *

A few minutes before eight, Tom pulled up in a black convertible with the top pulled down. Caleb glanced

nervously out the window and shoved his paws in his pockets in an effort to keep from fidgeting. For the

final time he glanced at his reflection in the mirror, just barely resisting the urge to readjust his hair and

smooth down his fur. If he wasn't ready now, he'd never be.

His jaw set firmly, Caleb stepped through the front door and into the cool spring evening. From the car,

Tom flashed that killer smile of his, and Caleb was relieved to see that he was similarly dressed in a pair of

black jeans and a red tee shirt. He was also wearing the same jewelry as he had the night they'd met, and

his hair was spiked up just as Caleb remembered.

"Nice car," Caleb said, as he got in.

"Thanks," Tom said with a grin. "You look nice, yourself."

Caleb blushed. "You too," he mumbled.

Tom grinned again and reached over towards Caleb's lap. Caleb felt himself go red all over. He knew

things might go fast but he hadn't expected them to go this fast.

Suddenly, Tom's paw veered away from Caleb and towards the glove box. Caleb felt relief flood through

him as Tom pulled out a pair of sunglasses with silver rims and snapped the glove box shut. At the same

time, he felt strangely disappointed, and as he watched Tom don the sunglasses, he wondered just what he

would have done if Tom's paw hadn't veered away at the last second like that.

Caleb shook his head, remembering to stay calm. There would be plenty of time to think about that later.

Right now he just had to focus on having a good time.

"Ready?" Tom asked, once again flashing that smile that was quickly topping Caleb's list of top ten

favorite things.

Caleb just nodded.

Carefully, Tom backed out of Caleb's driveway, giving Caleb one last look at his house before they drove

off in the direction of the setting sun. For better or for worse, the next time he was here, he would have

been on his first date with a guy.

Maybe it wouldn't be his last.

* * *

Somewhere around eleven, Caleb realized that the date was actually going pretty well. They'd gone to see

a movie and afterwards stopped off at a bowling alley to order pizza (in honor of how they'd first met) and

play a couple of games of air hockey.

So far, things had been pretty tame, with Tom only stealing two quick kisses throughout the whole evening.

Once during the movie and the other one right after their second game of air hockey. It had been a bit

weird getting a kiss from another guy, but they had been light, gentle kisses on the cheek, and Tom had a

way of making it seem as natural as a handshake or a hug.

Other than that, however, it really hadn't been any different from Caleb going out with some of his friends

from high school, and more importantly, it had actually been a lot fun.

The sun had long since set by the time they got back to the house. Once again they were in Caleb's

driveway, the convertible's top pulled up in an effort to block some of the night's cold air. The clock on

Tom's car had flashed midnight in glowing green numbers just before Tom had killed the engine.

Caleb was surprised to find himself disappointed that he was home again. Part of him wished they could

have stayed out longer, done more, spent more time together. He wanted to say as much to Tom, too, but

he couldn't find words to express the feeling. Instead they just sat in silence for a few minutes, their eyes

slowly adjusting to the darkness.

Before the silence became uncomfortable Caleb managed to blurt out, "I had a lot of fun, tonight."

Even in the darkness, Caleb could see the rows of perfect white teeth as Tom smiled. "I'm glad," he said.

Not sure what to do, Caleb reached out his paw, placing it lightly on Tom's arm and leaned forward, giving

him a quick kiss on the cheek. It felt more than a little strange for him to make the first move, but he didn't

want Tom to think he wasn't interested. Not that he was entirely sure he was interested, but it was a little

late to worry about that now. As he pulled back he saw something strange flash in Tom's eyes and he was

sure there was a grin on Tom's face

Now it was Tom's turn to lean over and kiss him, but there was nothing quick about it. Instead, Tom slid

one arm around Caleb's waist and placed his paw on Caleb's chest. Carefully, Tom pressed his lips to

Caleb's and slid his tongue down Caleb's throat.

Surprised, Caleb almost gagged, but Tom's tongue quickly retreated and began to gently massage Caleb's

tongue. After a moment, Caleb felt his own tongue being pulled into Tom's mouth where Tom continued

to massage it with his own.

During all of this, their bodies had slowly pressed against each other until Tom was practically on top of

Caleb. Realizing what was about to happen, Caleb broke the kiss long enough to speak. "There's no one

home, if you want to, y'know...go inside," he said, gasping for air a bit.

Tom cast a wary glance at the house. "Are you sure?" he asked. "I mean, we don't have to if you don't

want to." There was regret in his voice, and Caleb knew that more than anything Tom probably wanted to

continue what they had started, but he was actually being sincere. All Caleb had to do was say no and it

would be over, just like that.

But would he ever have this chance again? Caleb's erection throbbed in his pants, proof that he, or at least

part of him, did want this. He wanted it just as much as Tom did. He could still say no, but there was no

way to know if he'd ever have this chance again, especially with Tom. And he was pretty sure he liked

Tom quite a bit.

It was now or never.

"Yeah," Caleb lied, "I'm sure." In truth he wasn't sure. About anything. But he knew he wanted to try.

He had to try.

Tom grinned and after untangling themselves from each other, they both walked into the house. "What

about your little brother?" Tom asked as Caleb led him upstairs.

"He's at a friend's house."

"And your parents?"

"Er, they're not here, either," Caleb said evasively. "Trust me, we're the only ones here," he said as he

flicked on a lamp in his room.

"Wow," Tom said, "you have a pretty cool room." He flopped down on the bed and rolled over to make

space for Caleb. Caleb stood there for a moment feeling a bit strange seeing Tom on his bed. He couldn't

help but admire the scene though. As casually as possible he slipped off the blue gray over shirt and

crawled into the space left by Tom.

Together on the bed, they held each other, slowly running their paws over each other's bodies and feeling

the other's presence. Caleb finally sighed and looked at Tom. "I kind of have to tell you something,"

Caleb said.

"What?" Tom asked, concerned at the tone of Caleb's voice.

"I've never really done this before," Caleb said.

Tom just smiled. "It's not too complicated."

"I mean, I know the basics." He paused for a moment as if considering something. "Um, I know it's

supposed to kind of hurt at first?" he added unsure.

Tom sobered a bit. "I think you're jumping ahead a bit, but, well...yeah, it can hurt your first time. But if

you do it right, it's not that bad, and really the pain doesn't last very long." Tom hesitated for a moment.

"Um, but are you sure you want to...do that?" he asked.

"I think so. I mean, yeah, I'm pretty sure. I guess I want to try it at least. And, well...I'd like it to be

you." Caleb said blushing.

Tom smiled and gave Caleb a gentle hug. "Heh, alright. And don't worry, I'll go slow. Just make sure

you tell me stop if things get too intense, okay?"

Caleb nodded.

"Alright," Tom said. Despite his words, there was eagerness in his voice. Tom lifted off his shirt, careful

not to catch any of his piercings on it, then reached his paws over to slip them under Caleb's shirt. He slid

his paws up Caleb's furry stomach and stroked both of Caleb's pecs before reaching up even higher. Caleb

lifted his arms up and let Tom pull his shirt off.

Caleb shook his head a bit to clear his hair out of his eyes. When he looked up he was surprised to see that

both of Tom's nipples were pierced, each with a silver hoop that matched his earrings. Further down,

Tom's navel had a silver hoop through it as well. "Is, um, everything on you pierced?" Caleb asked, with a

nervous glance at Tom's crotch.

Tom gave a devilish grin. "You'll just have to wait and find out." Tom stood up and slowly undid the

button on his pants. He gave them a gentle push, and the jeans fell down to his ankles revealing a red pair

of silk boxers. Tom let his paws linger on his legs seductively before finally stepping out of the jeans and

reaching towards Caleb.

Casually Tom's paws worked on the button of Caleb's pants. "Normally I'd do this with my mouth, but it

kind of hurts my teeth," Tom said conversationally.

Caleb stared at him. "You're kidding, right?" he said with a nervous laugh.

"Maybe," Tom said, too preoccupied with Caleb's jeans to give him another grin. With a tug Tom slid the

jeans off revealing Caleb's own black silk boxers. Tom looked up, a hint of mischief in his eyes. "Silk on

silk, eh? This will be interesting."

Caleb blushed. "I only wear them on special occasions," he said. Then he wished he hadn't. Where had

that come from and why had he said it? His blush deepened until it began to show through his fur.

Tom, however, practically glowed. He reached over and gently ran his paw up Caleb's thigh, slipping it

just inside his boxers and resting it there.

All of Caleb's attention was suddenly focused on Tom's warm touch and his crotch was quickly becoming

warm in response. He looked down and watched through the boxers as Tom's paw moved slowly up and

down on his thigh. Caleb couldn't tear his gaze away as he watched his own erection become outlined

through the black silk. Tom's paw didn't reach for it though.

Instead Tom leaned forward, catching Caleb off guard. Tom didn't give Caleb much time to react as he

pressed his muzzle firmly against Caleb's, slipping his tongue into Caleb's mouth again.

Surprised, Caleb started to lean back only to have Tom lean with him. Tom's other paw was now on

Caleb's back, pushing them closer together. Caleb's own paws had apparently moved on their own

because they were both suddenly running through the fur on Tom's back, Caleb's arms wrapped tightly

around Tom in a close embrace.

Through it all, Tom's paw hadn't moved from Caleb's thigh. When they had leaned back so far that they

were practically laying down, Tom finally broke the kiss. "Hmm, since we both have these nice silk

boxers," he whispered, "I think it's time we try them out."

Caleb just smiled, too lost in a fog of pleasure to blush. He did register the sensation of Tom's paw

withdrawing from his thigh though, the slight cold feeling he felt as a result bringing him back down. He

looked up to see Tom grinning slightly.

"You're cute when you do that," Tom said.

"Do what?" Caleb asked confused.

Tom just chuckled. "Never mind," he said. Tom shifted his position a bit so that he was on his knees.

Caleb started to let go of him, his paws slipping from Tom's back. But Tom reached up and gently grabbed

Caleb's arms, sliding them back around his torso. He smiled and leaned forward to kiss Caleb again, his

paw still on Caleb's back as he lowered them both to lay flat on the bed.

Caleb finally began to catch on and stretched out both his legs, spreading them so that Tom's knees were

between his thighs. He wrapped his arms tighter around Tom and pulled him down closer to his chest.

Tom resisted slightly, using his free arm to prop himself slightly to the side while keeping the rest of his

weight on his knees. He pulled back from the kiss for a moment. "Tell me if I'm too heavy, okay?" he

said, holding his position.

Caleb nodded. "Okay," he said, a slightly dazed smile still on his face.

Tom smiled back and slowly inched forward, their muzzles meeting again in a kiss. Then slowly their

chests touched, the tips of the cool metal of the nipple rings touching down first and then laying flat as the

rest of Tom's chest followed. Next the smooth muscles of their abdomens came together, again the

sensation accented by the brief feel of cold metal from Tom's navel ring, and finally their crotches.

Caleb murred as he felt that final bit of weight settle on him. He could feel every curve and line of Tom's

stiff member as it rubbed against his own through the silk. The feel of the soft cool fabric offered a strong

contrast to the heat of his crotch and aroused him even more.

Slowly Tom began to actively move his member up and down against Caleb's. Caleb gasped slightly

around the kiss as both their members strained against the fabric, the heat of their bodies finally

overcoming even the cool silk and bringing them both to full attention.

Caleb moaned in pleasure, his length throbbing slightly. He was pretty sure he had never been this hard in

his entire life, and the pressure of their bodies pressed against one another caused him to literally ache with

need.

Tom felt the mounting pressure as well, and a brief internal struggle took place as the need to remove the

barrier between them battled with his aversion to move from his position. Finally the need won, and he

pulled back from the embrace to sit on his knees, the sudden cold he felt almost unbearable. He reached

forward with the sole intent of pulling off Caleb's boxers and then his own so that he might return to the

warmth of Caleb's chest and arms, but caution stopped him.

Tom's paws rested just at the top of Caleb's boxers, and surprised, he realized he was practically panting

with his need to take the white wolf. He thanked whatever mind had seen fit not to put mirrors in the room,

because his expression was no doubt one of hunger.

He quickly realized that Caleb was the only mirror he needed though. Lying there before him, Caleb

looked up with his own expression of wanting, the innocence of it all making Tom smile. "Do you mind?"

he asked, gently tugging at the boxers, knowing full well what the answer would be but unable to keep

from grinning at Caleb's reaction.

Caleb just shook his head, too breathless to speak. He stared up, marveling at the handsomeness of the

brown wolf and wanted more than anything to run his paws over the smooth fur on Tom's chest again.

Tom grinned then quite suddenly moved his paws away from Caleb's boxers and to his own. He stood up

fully on his knees and slid the red silk down, exposing first a slightly lighter patch of fur, then his fully

erect member. (To Caleb's relief, it wasn't pierced.) His erection bobbed slightly as it came free of his

boxers and slapped against his stomach. Finally his balls came into view, the light patch of brown hair that

covered them causing them to look even larger than they already were.

Tom lifted his knees one at a time as he slid the boxers all the way off and tossed them to the floor. He

leaned back over Caleb and let the full length of his maleness hover slightly over him.

Caleb stared down at Tom's member and reached out a paw hesitantly. He wanted very much to touch it,

partly out of curiosity and partly out of arousal, but he didn't let his paw reach all the way. He looked into

Tom's face questioningly.

Tom answered by grabbing Caleb's paw with his own and pressing it against his member, their two paws

slowly sliding up and down the hard length. Caleb marveled at the smoothness and size of it, the very act

of touching it making him somehow feel content while at the same time very excited.

After a few minutes, Tom's member begin to quiver slightly from the attention and Tom made Caleb stop.

"Let's save that for later," he whispered to Caleb.

Caleb blushed. He had been so lost in the pleasure of stroking Tom off he'd forgotten everything else.

"Sorry," he murmured.

Tom reached out a paw and gently stroked the side of Caleb's face. "For what?" he said. He didn't give

Caleb a chance to answer. He leaned forward and pressed his muzzle gently against Caleb's, both of them

losing themselves in the kiss.

Tom finally leaned back again, a very satisfied expression on his face. His paws finally reached for

Caleb's boxers and slid them down exposing Caleb's genitals in one quick motion. Caleb bent his knees

and lifted his legs, partly to allow Tom to pull his boxers the rest of the way off and partly in an attempt to

hide his own maleness out of embarrassment.

Tom noticed when Caleb didn't relax his legs again, even after Tom had removed the boxers and tossed

them to the floor. He just smiled and reached between Caleb's legs, his own paw beginning to stroke

Caleb's member.

Caleb grunted a bit in surprise, his length feeling extremely sensitive to Tom's touch. He let his legs relax

again and fully exposed his own erection and furry balls.

Tom continued to stroke Caleb's length, the other paw gently caressing the white fur of Caleb's sack. Out

of the corner of his eye he could see Caleb blushing furiously at this attention, but he didn't stop. After

several minutes, Caleb's member began to quiver as well and Tom let his paws slide from Caleb's crotch

and up to his abdomen.

He gently rubbed Caleb's stomach, his attentions rewarded by the sight of Caleb's tail wagging off to the

side. Not trusting either of their reactions if he laid back on top of Caleb, Tom let his paws slide the rest of

the way up to Caleb's chest, the rest of his body stretching out to lie directly next to Caleb.

Tom wrapped his paws around Caleb's chest in a hug and leaned close to lick his neck. "Enjoying it so

far?" Tom asked.

Caleb turned slightly to face Tom, returning the embrace. "Very much," he said. He let his paws drift

down to Tom's sides and began to gently stroke them.

There was a look of intense pleasure on Tom's face, but a note of seriousness in his voice when he spoke.

"Do you want to keep going?" he asked.

Caleb wasn't sure how to answer. It was hard to imagine anything ever feeling any better than what they

were doing right now. Just the thought of holding Tom in his arms for the rest of the night made him feel

happy.

But at the same time he felt so hard, his whole length throbbed and ached. He desperately needed to get

off. Otherwise he was going to explode. There was still a cold lump of fear in the center of his stomach,

though. Knowing how to have sex and actually doing it weren't the same thing. What worked in his head

might not work in real life and Tom was definitely as real as it came.

"I think so," he said at last. "But...I'm not exactly sure how. I mean...what do I...?" He trailed off,

unsure of what to say.

Tom smiled softly and kissed the side of Caleb's muzzle. "You do whatever you want to do. Look it's not

just about me and what I want. It wouldn't be much fun if it were."

Caleb laid there for a moment then suddenly sat up. "I just realized I don't have anything to...um...you

know." Caleb's paws flailed in the air as he tried to make paw gestures of what he was talking about while

simultaneously not make gestures.

"Ah," Tom said with a chuckle and reached down to the floor where his pants were. He rummaged around

in his pockets for a moment before leaning back up. "Lube," he said holding up a small, thin bottle.

Caleb just blinked. "Oh. Um...this is..." he reached for the lube.

"Travel size," Tom said. "It doesn't look like much I know but trust me it doesn't take all that much and

there's plenty here.

"And you just carry this around with you all the time?" Caleb asked, examining the strange little bottle

from all sides. He hadn't been expecting Tom to just have something like this on him. Not that he wasn't

glad he did but...well he wasn't sure glad was the right word.

Tom blushed and gave a little half smile. "Didn't know what you'd be in to or up for. Figured I'd be

prepared." He watched Caleb continue to examine the bottle and reached out to lay his arm around Caleb's

shoulder. "Look we don't have to." He rubbed the fur on Caleb's shoulder and let his paw drift down to

stroke his back. "I just had it in case."

Caleb closed his eyes and tried to think. For all of two seconds. There was just too much going on inside

his head. He couldn't think straight. Not that he was considering what he was thinking.

He smiled at that thought and looked up at Tom. He reached out a paw and rubbed it through the soft fur

on Tom's chest. He was so warm. Everything about him was. And deep down, Caleb knew he wanted

Tom. He didn't even know what exactly it was but he knew he wanted it. And Tom had it.

Caleb handed back the lube and for a moment Tom wasn't sure what to do with it. Had Caleb rejected

him? Was he not ready for this? Had he pushed too hard? Maybe it would have been better if he hadn't

been so "prepared."

Then Caleb reached over and rested his paw on Tom's member, gently stroking it. "I want to," Caleb said.

Tom smiled and leaned closer to Caleb, pressing his muzzle against Caleb's in a soft kiss.

Caleb blushed a little, still nervous and unsure. Even after Tom broke the kiss he wasn't sure what to do.

He shifting his position a little, bringing his legs up closer to his chest. He turned over on the bed, getting

on his paws and knees and lifting his tail. From what little he had seen, this seemed to be the position he

was supposed to take.

Behind him Tom admired Caleb's tailhole and reached between his legs to gently fondle Caleb's dangling,

furry balls. Caleb's tail gave a slight wag at this. Tom smiled and leaned down, placing his muzzle just

level with Caleb's tailhole. With careful precision he flicked out his tongue, running it over and around

Caleb's tight ring.

Caleb let out a yelp of surprise. Tom's tongue was wet and warm and Caleb wasn't sure whether he liked

the sensation of it rubbing against him there or not. But a moment later his body answered him as it began

to shiver in pleasure, his breath coming out in gasps.

Tom smiled and pressed his tongue harder against Caleb's tailhole, gently slipping the tip of his tongue up

inside it.

A groan escaped Caleb's muzzle as he felt the sudden sensation of Tom's tongue inside him. Again it felt

strange to have this warm, wet muscle somewhere he'd never even imagined, but at the same time it felt so

good. It felt as if he were just discovering parts of himself he'd never known existed.

Tom's tongue flicked in and out of his mouth, each time probing deeper. Caleb felt Tom's nose press

against him as Tom pushed in as much of his tongue as he could. Caleb started to close his eyes, his right

paw reaching towards his member when Tom's tongue withdrew. Caleb felt a cool breeze against his

tailhole as Tom leaned back from it.

Opening his eyes, Caleb turned his head to look back at Tom. His cock seemed to stiffen even more as he

watched Tom slowly stroke his now glistening member with one paw, the open bottle of lube in the other.

When it was thoroughly covered, Tom squeezed a little more lube into his paw and rubbed it against

Caleb's wet tailhole.

Caleb turned his head and closed his eyes again. The lube was cool, but Tom's paw was warm and quickly

warmed it up. The paw suddenly disappeared and once again Caleb felt cool air against him. But it was

only a moment before he felt Tom's warm body press against him.

Tom rubbed his slickened length against Caleb's hole and leaned down to press his chest against Caleb's

back, wrapping his arms around Caleb's middle. Caleb let out a sigh of pleasure. He could feel the heat

quickly building up where Tom's length pressed against him. He suddenly wanted that warmth inside him.

He could feel himself opening up wider, the pressure between them building.

Suddenly Tom shifted his hips a bit and Caleb felt the head of Tom's cock press against him as Caleb's

tailhole opened wider. At first the sensation of Tom's member slipping inside him just felt odd. Then

slowly it progressed to painful as the rest of his length pressed deeper inside him.

Caleb gritted his teeth and tightened his tailhole, the pain sharp for a moment as Tom's entire length rested

inside him. Then slowly the pressure faded and with it the pain.

Tom remained still, his arms still tightly wrapped around Caleb. His breathing was calm but forced. The

feel of his cock buried deep inside Caleb's warm tailhole urged him on, but he forced himself to remain

still and wait until Caleb relaxed.

After a few moments, Caleb's tailhole began to loosen and Tom slowly slid half his length out, then back

in. He waited a moment to gauge Caleb's reaction. "You okay?" he asked.

Caleb nodded. "Yeah. It just feels a lot...bigger."

Tom smiled but kept his voice serious. "You'll get used to it in a minute." He paused for a moment. "But

if you want to stop..."

"No," Caleb said more out of determination than desire. "Keep going."

Tom began to slide out and back in again, taking shorter gaps between thrusts and pulling further out.

After a moment, Caleb began to feel a sensation grow inside him. His erection seemed to stiffen more and

he was suddenly dripping precum. When Tom thrust into him again, Caleb pushed back against him, trying

to press the brown wolf's cock deeper into him. He could feel it inside him now every time Tom thrust into

him.

Feeling Caleb's increased enthusiasm, Tom pressed inside him deeper and faster. Not that he had much

choice. The soft, warm tunnel was making it hard to concentrate on anything else. Tom could feel himself

getting closer with every thrust. Even the feel of Caleb's fur excited him. He nuzzled Caleb's back as his

hips pressed against Caleb's furry white ass cheeks. He lingered there for a moment before pulling out and

thrusting in again, lost in the pleasure he felt.

Tom began to stroke Caleb's chest and stomach, his paw drifting down Caleb's now dripping member. His

paw wrapped around the hard length and began to stroke it as Caleb gasped. A river of precum flowed out

of the tip of Caleb's cock, slickening Tom's paw and causing it to stroke faster.

Tom was getter closer, and from his moans, so was Caleb. Tom stroked harder, his cock working in and

out of Caleb's tailhole. The pressure was suddenly too much and Tom pressed his length as deep as he

could into Caleb.

A torrent of wolf seed erupted inside Caleb as Tom came. Tom's grip tightened as he stroked Caleb harder.

Tom's own member was still pouring out seed when Caleb let out a moan, his first shot hitting his chest,

the next his stomach, and the rest dripping out and onto the bed.

Tom released his grip on Caleb's member as they both panted out their exhaustion. Caleb slowly collapsed

onto the bed, Tom falling with him. Tom held onto Caleb tightly as he rolled over on his side, rolling Caleb

with him.

They lay there together on their sides for several minutes, both still panting, and with Tom's member still

firmly lodged inside Caleb. Tom gently nuzzled the back of Caleb's neck and Caleb reached up a paw to

gently stroke Tom's arm.

"How ya feeling?" Tom asked.

Caleb smiled weakly. "Tired. But good. Really good."

"I know the feeling," Tom said. Slowly he inches his hips away from Caleb, slipping his cock out of the

spent wolf's tailhole. Caleb grunted slightly but otherwise remained still until Tom was out.

Slowly Caleb rolled over and reached out to hug Tom closer to him. Tom smiled and kissed Caleb's

muzzle. "Do you want to stay the night?" Caleb asked suddenly.

Tom gave a small chuckle. "I am pretty tired after that. So I wouldn't mind." Caleb smiled and nuzzled

him. "So you really did enjoy it?" Tom asked.

Caleb nodded against Tom's chest. "I don't think I've ever felt anything like that. I've never felt this

exhausted before either."

Tom smiled and sat up, reaching up to pull back the covers. Caleb literally crawled across the bed and

slipped under the sheets. Tom slid down beside him and pulled up the covers around them, nuzzling close

to Caleb. "You sure it's okay for me to stay here the night? What about your parents?"

Caleb hesitated for a moment, not sure what to say. Finally he decided to go with the truth. "Um...well

they're dead actually."

Tom grimaced. "Oh...I'm sorry."

Caleb shook his head. "It's okay. It happened a long time ago."

Tom nodded slowly. "But so, how do you have the money to live here then."

"Well this was our house growing up. After my parents died, my aunt got custody of us. She's pretty well

off so she pays the bills and sends money from time to time for food and stuff but we don't actually see her

that often."

"Sounds like it's kinda lonely here then," Tom said with a frown.

"Well, it can be. But that's why I invite handsome brown wolves over to spend the night."

Tom grinned and nuzzled Caleb. "Oh really? So do you let them all cuddle you while you sleep?"

Caleb reached out and turned out the lamp. "Only the ones I really like" he whispered.

* * *

Caleb woke up slightly dazed. Memories of the night before were still fresh in his mind as he smiled,

closed his eyes again, and snuggled deeper under the covers

With a start he shot back up again, his eyes wide, as he realized it was morning. What time was it? Alex

might be coming back at any moment. Or worse, Jeffery!

His eyes desperately searched the room for a clock and finally spotted the clock radio on the other end of

the room. Six minutes past nine.

Alex wouldn't be back till noon or later, and Jeffery and Mike weren't likely to get in before three or four.

Caleb sighed in relief and tried to settle back into bed, his heart still pounding. He didn't get much chance

to relax as he was startled again by someone wrapping their arm around him. He let out a small gasp, but

comprehension suddenly dawned on him as he realized it was Tom. He settled down again and slowly

inched back to press his back against Tom's chest.

Tom lifted his head and gave Caleb's ear a gentle lick, his tongue slowly trailing all the way to the tip.

"Mmm, morning, lover," he said, nuzzling Caleb's neck.

Caleb felt the blood rush to his face accompanied by a strange tingling sensation throughout his entire

body. He'd never been called anyone's lover. The very concept made him blush.

At the same time he couldn't help but feel a rush of giddiness. It was stupid he knew, but he felt special

being called that.

Caleb slowly rolled over and wrapped his own arms around Tom, pulling himself closer to the brown wolf.

"Morning, yourself," Caleb said. He'd thought to say something else, something witty or smart, but Tom

cut him off with a kiss.

Their muzzles remained locked together for what seemed like hours, Tom's tongue playing across Caleb's

as their crotches slowly pressed against one another. Fur met fur as their sheaths pressed against one

another, and they were both suddenly reminded of their lack of clothes.

Tom felt a stiffening in his sheath and broke the kiss. "As much as I'd like to continue this, I really don't

think there's time for a second round," he said with a smile.

Caleb sighed and rested his head against Tom's chest. " I was afraid you'd say that. But yeah, Alex will be

back in a few hours. Argh, and Jeffery will be coming back today, too." Caleb sighed again and tried to

bury his head deeper into Tom's fur.

"Jeffery?" Tom asked, confused.

Caleb sighed again, his voice muffled by Tom's fur as he spoke. "Older brother. He's been away at

college, but he's coming down for the weekend and stuff with Mike."

Tom nodded as he ran a paw through Caleb's head fur. "And who's Mike."

Caleb groaned. "Jeffery's boyfriend."

Tom's ears perked up. "Oh really, now?"

Caleb looked up to cast a baleful glare at Tom. "Yeah, yeah, he's gay too."

"I wasn't going to say anything," Tom said with mock innocence. "Just thinking maybe I should stick

around and meet them."

Caleb grunted and repositioned himself so his muzzle wasn't buried in Tom's fur anymore. "Oh I'm sure

that'd be a great way to break the news to him. Just have him walk in, in the middle of sex."

"At least he'd know you were getting some," Tom said with a chuckle, gently scratching the back of

Caleb's head. "Anyway, I take it you don't like Mike very much?"

Caleb shrugged. "It's not so much that. It's just...I'd like some time with Jeffery alone. Y'know, get a

chance to sort of ease him into the whole idea."

"What, that his little brother likes cock? I kind of doubt it'll be that big a shock to him. And it's not like

you have to worry about him being prejudice or something."

Caleb lifted his head to look at Tom. "What do you mean, you don't think it'll be that big a shock to him."

Tom chuckled and leaned forward, kissing the side of Caleb's muzzle. "Well you're not exactly...obvious,

but there are a few...little things. Look, if he's your brother then he's known you for most of your life.

Being gay himself, he's bound to have picked up on a few things. Things he might not even realize he's

noticed. The point is, whether he realizes it or not, he probably knows."

Caleb snorted. "I never knew he was gay."

"You didn't?" Tom asked with a raised eyebrow. "You never even once suspected."

"No," Caleb said frowning. "Not really. I mean...okay there were a few things, but I just figured

everybody..." Tom nodded silently. "Oh shut up," Caleb said sticking out his tongue.

Tom grinned and flicked out his own tongue to catch Caleb's. "You'll see," he said with a chuckle. "But

we really should get up. I've got work in a few hours and you've got guests to entertain." Tom threw back

the covers, stood up, and stretched.

Caleb watched from the bed, admiring how the sunlight from his window glinted off the silver piercings

and turned Tom's brown fur a lighter shade. With a grin he moved across the bed and flicked out his

tongue to brush against the furry sac just below Tom's sheath.

Tom smirked and leaned down so he was eye level with Caleb. "Are all white wolves as bad as you?" he

said with a grin.

"Who knows," Caleb said, grinning back. "Maybe it's just me."

Tom murred and leaned forward to give Caleb another quick kiss before he stood back up and scanned the

room for his clothes. "So when do you think you'll be free again," Tom asked, spotting his boxers and

slipping them on.

Caleb remained in the bed, watching Tom as he got dressed. "I don't know. Monday night, maybe.

Classes start up again on Tuesday, so Jeffery will probably be heading back sometime Monday afternoon or

evening." Caleb watched as Tom pulled his pants up and had the urge to reach out and pull them down

again just to keep Tom there longer. "I can't guarantee the house will be free again like this though, what

with Alex hanging around. Maybe we could go to your place?"

Tom wrestled on his shirt. "Ah, my place isn't the best either, really." Tom quickly changed the subject.

"Besides I'm sure Alex wouldn't mind me staying here. He seems like a pretty cool kid."

"Except he'd probably drag you into his room to play video games, and you'd end up spending more time

in there than in here," Caleb said with a yawn.

"Oooh, what kinds of games does he have?" Tom said with mock enthusiasm. Caleb groaned and threw a

pillow at him. Tom laughed and caught the pillow. "I'm just kidding. Besides, Alex isn't my type."

Caleb raised an eyebrow. "Oh, and what exactly is your type?"

Tom set the pillow back on the bed, and leaned back down so he was once again level with Caleb's face.

"Well I'm partial to cute, white, naked wolves who throw pillows at me." He kissed Caleb's muzzle again.

It was a long kiss but it still seemed to end all too quickly.

Tom stood up straight again and smiled. "Call you tonight?"

Caleb frowned as he thought for a moment. "I'm not sure. Jeffery may want to go out so I might not be

here. Can I call you instead?"

"Sure, let me write down my number."

Caleb opened the drawer to the night stand next to his bed and fished around for a pen and piece of paper.

He handed both to Tom.

Tom scribbled out the number with the fast and experienced hand of person used to writing down orders.

"Okay, here ya go," he said, handing the pen and paper back to Caleb. "I guess just try not to call past two

am. That's usually when I get to bed. I probably won't be home tonight till after ten, though. Maybe later

if someone doesn't show up and I have to take over their shift. If you can't call tonight don't sweat it,

though."

Caleb nodded and looked down at the piece of paper. He felt awkward just sitting there. Was he supposed

to say "Goodbye"? It seemed like such a final thing to say. But then he might not see Tom again until

Monday night, which suddenly seemed like long time from now.

Tom interrupted his thoughts by leaning down and kissing him on the side of his muzzle. "See you later,"

he said and walked out the door.

Caleb felt dazed. He had the sudden urge to race out the door after him. To say something. To at least

show him to the front door, but instead he just sat there. A moment later he heard the front door open and

shut. If he strained his ears he could hear Tom's car start, pull out of the driveway, and disappear down the

road.

Caleb leaned back in bed, the piece of paper still in his hand. Things had seemed very clear only a few

minutes ago, but now he was alone again, and the reality of everything that had happened came crashing

down on him.

He was gay, had just had sex for the first time, and now had a boyfriend. It had all happened way too fast.

He wasn't sure he even understood it all. To make matters worse he was going to have to find a way to

explain it to Jeffery and probably soon.

Of course he could always lie. Or just not bring it up at all. Jeffery didn't have to know everything. He

hadn't told him about Mike...

Caleb sighed. But then that wouldn't really accomplish anything except making himself guilty of the same

thing. Jeffery hadn't been trying to hurt him, either. It was just a hard topic to bring up. More than

anything, that was something Caleb could understand and relate to now. There just wasn't an easy way to

say, "I'm gay."

With each passing minute, Tom felt like a fading dream. And with it faded Caleb's confidence.

Everything about his time with Tom had felt so right. Maybe it would have been better if Tom could have

stayed to meet Jeffery. Maybe it wouldn't be so hard then.

He needed time to think.

The sound of the front door opening and closing again, however, proved that that was the one thing he

didn't have.
