The Return of a Trainer

I know, it's short, but it's something that has plagued my mind, and does have a few Pokemon from some friends, one of which is an actual character. If you wanna see more of this, let me know and I'll see how quickly my mind (and muse) hammer out one. Not necessarily going to be on the smut end of things if this does end up continuing, but hey, better than nothing for so long. Right?

The trainer stepped up to his side of the battlefield at the park, popping his wrists and neck, not out of cockiness or arrogance, but rather, to be more loose. Dressed in heavy duty boots to take the wear and tear of travelling easier, a pair of faded blue jeans, a custom ordered t-shirt showcasing a Pikachu Libre, and wearing fingerless gloves, he gazed at his opponent across the field. Sure, he had been gone for quite awhile, travelling other regions for even a few months, but when he got word that some hot shot with no respect had taken the crown, he decided to pay a personal visit.

He saw his opponent just grin in arrogance, to which the local posse mirrored effectively. He knew who this guy was from back in his greenhorn days, a young kid who only valued strength and good times, never any actual effort. For him to be crowned the local hot shot was nothing short of ludicrous, even if other trainers decided to move on. He, himself, had to fix that. He stretched again, his lightly tanned skin flexing the lean muscle before he resumed his relaxed state.

"Ah, not gonna take this serious? Ya think I'm just a pushover 'champ'? I got alot stronger since ya left, and I'm gonna beat yer ass in ta prove it." Crass, the type of people he personally liked to prove wrong.

"Lets get one thing clear, Shaun. I am serious... but I keep my body relaxed to focus more appropriately at the situation. If you mistake it for not even finding you worth my time, trust me... I make it my personal business to make you worth my time... no amount of crass and disrespect is below my attention, especially since I kept this place something actually worth being proud of, rather than a disgrace."

"And ya think ya can just take back yer title of Town Champ from me? Puh-LEASE! Don't even try to act all high an mighty around me like I'm the one who gave yer mom the shaft last night." Well, he sure pushed Shaun's buttons. Half the battle already won.

"In case you've forgotten your history, which, by the look of the company you keep, much less the smell, you have, my mother's dead. Been dead for a long time. So you saying that means that you're a necrophiliac."

"A necro-what? Speak plain English ya scientist fuckwad!"

"Fine then... Necrophiliac: One who is attracted to corpses, dead bodies, and has sexual intercourse with said corpses, i.e. you fuck dead people."

"YER SO FUCKIN DEAD!" With that, Shaun threw out his first Pokemon in this agreed three on three match. The trainer recognized the Pokemon from one of his recent travels, a Mudsdale. Heavy, slow, but a powerhouse that always gains boosts to it's defense. He tossed out a simple Pikachu, one who had a single scar over it's eye and wearing an eyepatch to compensate the loss of it.

"Seriously? Ya think that little rat can beat my Mudsdale?"

"Grass Knot..."

That was all it needed, the Pikachu unleashing that TM-based attack. And since Mudsdale was so heavy, not only would it be super-effective, it would hit VERY hard, and that's what it did, the Mudsdale crying out, but barely hanging on.

"Sneaky little... Mudsdale! Earthquake!"

The Pikachu itself grinned, holding a Focus Sash for just such an occasion, taking the shaking ground hard, but hanging on just barely, leaving Shaun bewildered before the sash fell in front of the electric mouse.

"Aww shit..."

"Give it another one Pikachu."

The Mudsdale didn't stand a chance as it succumbed to the second Grass Knot, Shaun looking irritated as hell as he withdrew the massive horse, throwing out what looked like the Alolan variant of Muk, showing a cocky grin.

"Can't easily take this one out Fucker! Muk, Shadow Sneak!"

He withdrew Pikachu before the priority move even had a chance to catch up, throwing a Shiny Deino, which took the hit pretty well. The pink, almost-puppy like Dragon panting happily, despite the mocking of the crowd. The trainer stretches again, keeping himself loose and ready.

"Alright Pinky, Earth Power."

"Muk! Poison Jab!"

Both Pokemon collided hard, the Muk looking like it didn't take the hit well, as did Pinky the Deino, who showed signs of being Poisoned, but it looked like a speed tie. By now, some of the other people of the park were crowding around, a few recognizing the trainer, calling out cheers of encouragement.

"Muk, it won't last long, hit it again!"

"One last Earthpower Pinky."

Pinky managed to win the speed tie this time, knocking back the Muk before it got close, causing Shaun to get more infuriated. He was now down two Pokemon, while the returning trainer still had all three of his. He threw out his last Pokemon.

"GOLISOPOD!! FIRST IMPRESSION IT!!"

The trainer withdrew Pinky and sent out his last choice Pokemon, the Pokemon taking the hit incredibly well before the light finished forming. Everyone around knew who this Pokemon was, the trainer's signature team mate and proclaimed Starter, a uniquely blue Scizor, staring menacingly at the Gollisopod.

"Damnit! Quad Resistance."

"Now you're speaking like someone with proper experience... Saph... Mega Evolve and Aerial Ace him."

"Gollisopod, Razor Shell that thing!"

In a flash of multi-colored light, the Scizor mega evolved and took the Razor Shells well enough, then unleashed it's Aerial Ace, hitting hard and causing the Alolan bug to stagger a bit. Shaun knew he had no real chance now, especially with that extra speed the Scizor got after mega evolving, but he didn't want to wimp out. The trainer knew he wouldn't back down.

"Gollisopod... Razor Shell it again!"

"Saph, finish this battle!"

Saph, the Scizor, easily hit the Gollisopod fast and hard, causing it to fall onto the ground in defeat, forcing Shaun, and his friends, to groan and call hax. The battle was over, the Scizor returning to normal as the trainer gently rubbed it's head, much to it's pleasure with happy chitters.

"I want a rematch!"

"It is better to reflect on this loss rather than beat your face against a brick wall Shaun... otherwise you'll never progress as a trainer..."

He'd proven he was still the park's champ, as well as put an unruly trainer in his place. He overheard the rest of his 'friends' calling him lame and weak, showing their true colors as he turned and walked away, paying attention to heal the other members of his team back to peak performance, smiling at Saph walked next to him happily. The two walked away from the growing voices of park attendants, whether they were with Shaun or not, since they had a nice place to get back to... away from the noise of the crowds.
