Jason woke with the sun shining on his face through the top of the tent. The chirping of wild birds entering his focusing senses. Boy, he thought, I wonder when I went camping. He shook his head, and slowly realized something fuzzy and warm against his cheek. Turning his head, he saw Eiffel sprawled across the floor. Then, he slowly focused on what was against his cheek.........Eiffel's bare foot.

Jason didn't know what to do. Partly in shock, he leaned away from Eiffel's foot. And as he tried to comprehend what had happened, a few things came to happen. He first realized that Eiffel's foot smelled slightly pleasing. The smell of feet left in a pair of boots for too long, but with a musky dog-ish smell added to it. He then realized what he had first realized, and mentally slapped himself for thinking like that. All his life he had hid the fact that he found men much more attracting than women, and now wasn't the best time for him to get these thoughts, since he was in a confined space with two very aesthetically pleasing males....even if they were mutated humanoids. And finally, Jason blinked in surprise as Eiffel's footpad was shoved into his face, toes spread over his nose, Eiffel stretching.

"Ah...... what a beautiful morning." Eiffel moved his foot as he got up. Jason stared at Eiffel in disbelief as the humanoid got up, naked, and opened his pack. Jason almost squeaked at the sight. He never would have thought it possible, but he could see the muscles moving around under Eiffel's skin. He thought back to when he first saw him. He was so trim; Jason thought he was just a gun junkie. But seeing this now, Jason was thinking otherwise.

Eiffel stood up straight holding his clothes in one hand and his belt in the other. But as he crossed the tent to go outside, he dropped something. Jason didn't know what they were until they hit the ground. By then, Jason's face was so red, he could feel it. It was a black jockstrap. Jason's heart skipped a beat, as his mind thought bad thoughts that haven't surfaced since sixth grade. He'd done everything in his power to bury these thoughts forever. But in the end, he guessed, they won't go away.

Eiffel bent over and reached down to get his underwear, giving Jason a nice view of his rear end. Eiffel's tail swished back and forth mockingly it seemed. Eiffel grabbed it and turned around, catching Jason's eye. "Oh. You're up are you?" But that went in one ear and out the other. Eiffel's sheath was right there...close enough to touch even. It was so big...But Jason shook the thought from his mind and forced himself to speak with a clear tone.

"Yeah. You must've just woke me up."

Eiffel just shrugged and apologized as he bent down again, pulling his feet through the holes in his jockstrap and pulling it up. That only seemed to make Eiffel's groin look bigger, and Jason had to feign stretching to hide his embarrassment.

Jason turned over to stare at the wall of the tent. He wondered where Argon had gone. He wasn't in his sleeping bag......so where could he be? Jason didn't want to spend another second in the tent though, and pondering this only prolonged the time he had to spend with Eiffel......when......he was in a good mood.......well, Jason thought, that's a first.

Jason reached down inside the blankets he was sleeping in and pulled on his shorts. He personally thought clothes while sleeping was a nuisance, yet naked was too drafty. Eiffel mustn't care though......Jason thought. He stood up as much as he could inside of the tent and bent over to put on his shoes.

As Argon heard Jason's breathing slow to an even rhythm, he sighed. Sometimes he wished Jason were more....selfish rather than so selfless. He did the weirdest thing tonight....he gave up his own sleeping bag for him, and then fell asleep in the blankets Argon had set up for himself. Strange child...Argon thought, turning over onto his side, away from Jason.

"He asleep?" Argon heard and opened his eyes to see Eiffel a few inches away staring at him through the darkness.

"Yeah....why? Weren't you asleep just a moment ago?"

"No. I was just faking it until Jason went to bed. We need to talk about stuff," Eiffel said as he sat in an upright position, facing Argon.

Argon followed suit. "Talk about what kind of stuff, Eiffel?" Argon didn't like where this was going. Not in the least.

"You know too Goddamn well what, Argon! About us you dope..." Eiffel said. Argon's eyes grew wide as memories flooded through his mind that he had tried so desperately to flush out.

It was growing late outside as Argon walked with his handler back to his cell. Argon hated his job so much. He honestly thought he did a terrible job, and wondered when they would kill him to ease his suffering.

_ As he was walking, Argon saw Eiffel walking towards the cell next to his. Argon wondered where Eiffel's handler was, before seeing the red and yellow stripped collar around his neck. Thos were the collars that could zap you to unconsciousness if you didn't go where it was programmed to go._

_ Argon returned his attention to his cell as the door clicked and swung open. He stepped inside and the door closed before clicking again. Sighing, Argon went to go sit in the corner where his blanket was._

_ "Argon. Come here for a sec, would ya?"_

_ Argon looked at the far wall, which was really just a set of bars, and saw Paris there. Paris was really the only friend he had in this whole place, aside from her brother, Eiffel, but he was always so distant or quiet around Argon._

_ "What?" Argon whispered as he crawled closer to where Paris sat. "You know how dangerous it is to talk when they guards are talking outside our cells!"_

_ "Yeah, yeah. Tazered, beat, I know the drill..." Paris replied dryly in a hushed voice. "I need to talk to you about Eiffel before he comes any closer. They just took him to the testing room across the hall and I'm not sure how long it will take him to pass the test."_

_ "Ok," Argon said. "What is it about him?"_

_ Paris looked him in the eyes seriously, then a grin grew across her muzzle and she whispered in the kind of teasing voice only a gossiping girl could speak in._

_ "You like Eiffel, huh?" She said, emphasizing the 'huh' with a jab at Argon's ribs._

_ "Hey Eiffel?" Argon called into the other cell as the guards left. "Can I ask you something?"_

_ Eiffel looked through the bars and just nodded once._

_ "D-do........do you l-like me?" Argon was surprised to see how high Eiffel's eyebrows could go so high. Eiffel stuttered before abruptly turning his attention to his wall. Argon sighed and went to his corner. He knew he would have made Eiffel hate him even more than before now...._

_ It had been a few months after they fell in love, and Argon and Eiffel were talking during their lunch break they seemed to, by chance, have in the same room. Eiffel's last brother, 567345, was going into the testing room. The thing was, he was Eiffel's closest brother from any of the other ones, and he was worried his brother would fail. By chance again, it seemed, he was also Argon's desk mate. The one whom Argon shared a working space within the same field._

_ "Argon. You have to do this for me! There's no other way he'll pass! Don't you get it?"_

_ "Yeah. I understand Eiff, but if I get caught, I'll get put into the.....you know....."_

_ Eiffel stood up abruptly and pulled Argon up to face him. Grabbing Argon's shoulders, Eiffel looked him in the eyes, tears welling up. "Argon. You've seen his scores! They're lower than Unacceptable, and he's going to be killed if he doesn't pass! You_ know this!"

Argon just shook his head and backed away. "I know, Eiffel. But I'm not going to put my life on the line for somefur I don't know well enough to cry over his death. It takes too mu-"

Argon was cut short as he was punched in the muzzle and knocked out by Eiffel.

_ It had been two years since Eiffel's brother was killed before his eyes by a ruthless tiger. Argon had encountered Eiffel many times before in the arena, and had been brutally mauled by him more than once. Just the other day, he was eating his lunch, which was little more than wet cat food between bread buns, when Eiffel came up from behind him and just attacked him from out of nowhere. And after that, he tried to get him again in the Director's office._

He thought back to when he was in love with Eiffel. Was it really love? He thought. He sure is cute, but did I love him? No. would I have died for him? Not anywhere close. Guess it wasn't love as he'd heard of it...

"Hey, Argon. Over here, ok?" Eiffel said, pulling Argon from his trance. Argon nodded and Eiffel continued. "About....all of what I did to you....when my brother died.....I just wanted to apologize to you for what I did. I nearly killed you a few times. I didn't even consider your feelings about the situation with my bro. I just expected you to cheat for him. I'm sorry...and I've been thinking lately...could...could we ever get back together? I remembered how much I loved you before the whole resentment thing and..."

Argon felt a pang of sympathy for Eiffel as the coyote/wolf started to cry. Argon was sure he remembered the same things earlier when he was out of commission on the car ride here. But he had he tell Eiffel something more important first.

"Eiffel...I've thought long and hard about us, and what we were. But I never remember a spark or anything like that. But when I was with Jason for those first few weeks...I felt so many sparks and was always feeling buzzed when he spoke to me..."

Eiffel just sobbed once, before wiping the tears away and composing himself. "Okay...I understand completely."

Argon was astonished by this remark. "You do? H-how?"

Eiffel looked at him with a cold understanding. "When I heard you talk of the sparks, I thought back to us, and realized you were right. I thought you were the greatest lookin' thing in that dump. But I guess that's the only reason I called you my own..."

Argon took a breath before saying what he hoped Eiffel wouldn't say to Jason when he awoke. "I...I think I'm in love with Jason...Please don't tell him! If he doesn't like guys that like guys, or me in general cause I'm a freak, I'll feel terrible!"

"Don't worry. I won't tell him. But that is what I think we should talk a bit more about, don't you?" a smile and an evil glint in his eyes replaced the sorrow that was there moments before.

"What? About Jason? Or that I like him?"

"About him and guys. I'd like to find out if he likes 'em the way we do, ya know what I mean?"

Argon was astonished by this remark. "B-but we can't just flat out ask him! What if he doesn't like guys or us for that matter? I mean, so many things can go wrong. I mean, look at hi-"

"Argon. Listen to me. I, for one am not blind. The other day when you fell on top of him? Or when you look at him when he has his back turned? I can see it in your eyes, Argon. You're infatuated by him, and I can't blame ya. He's a cutie." Eiffel winked and argon just stared at him.

"Y-you really think...s-so?" Eiffel moved closer to Argon and whispered in his ear. "Hey. I can spot a cute guy a mile away. That's how I found you." Argon backed away a bit.

"I think I'm the one who asked you. But aside from this, how can we tell if Jason will like me or not?"

Eiffel sat up straight. "Well..." he pondered. "I might just have an idea....." he leaned in close to Argon and whispered his plan and the possible outcomes into Argon's ear.

"But what if he freaks out and gets angry with me?"

"He won't be angry at you if he flips out. Remember, I'm the one who'll start this whole thing, so if he gets mad, it'll just be at me, ok?"

Argon just nodded his head. Tonight is going to be a long night, he thought to himself as the two furs lay back down to sleep the rest of the night away.

Ha-ha I am such a tease. I hope you guys liked this one. I had to make Eiffel and Argon's pasts come together that showed resentment, and betrayal of love usually works, so I just....did it I guess. And I sure hope you guys are smart enough to know what's coming next, because if I didn't give enough clues on the first few paragraphs, I don't know what else I could have said besides....
