Hoenn Travelogue Chapter Two: All Wrapped Up
Apparently you guys like Pokemon stories, judging from the reactions the last couple of pieces have drawn. Well, good, because I enjoy writing them too!
Here is a continuation from the previous Hoenn Travelogue story, in which our trainer and his loyal crew try to solve the problem that is Seviper. Enjoy!
When it comes to weather, Hoenn has it good - it's either very pretty, pleasant, or blustery and rainy. The previous night's windstorm had carried the latest bluster off to the west, where it was almost certainly wetting down the far-off mountains and the towns along them.
For us, that meant that the morning sun was shining. We emerged from the slightly damp forests that had been our host overnight into a brilliantly sunny green meadow that rolled along the edges of the route that had brought us north from Slateport the day before. Tess, my Luxray, led the way, trotting sedately ahead. When she reached the main road, she paused and shook the dew and damp off each one in turn.
I grinned at the display. On my shoulder, Tico the Natu chirped in amusement. Tess turned around and stuck her tongue out at both of us, then deliberately turned her back with a flip of her star-tipped tail. That, of course, provided a quick peek at the bits under her tail, and I flushed slightly. We had spent the previous evening facing down a Seviper that had designs upon me for dinner, and then afterwards had, to use a trite phrase, taken our relationship to the next level. It had been a pleasant surprise for me, but more and more I started to wonder if Tess hadn't been planning it for a while.
Being out of the woods, I figured it may be a good time to chat with the newest member of the team. "Hold up Tess," I called; she paused and turned around inquisitively. "I'm going to let the newbie out and see what it can do for a bit. All right?"
The blue-furred feline grumbled something and sat on her haunches, exuding an air of pessimism that was absolutely palpable. Tico chirruped something in my ear that was probably pretty rude. I smiled and ran a finger over his head; he fluffed his feathers and settled down. "Trust me guys, you know I can manage this."
I extracted a Pokeball from my pouch and let it expand to its full size, then flipped it into the meadow. The familiar red beam of transference burst forward, and a moment later a long, thick-bodied form with significant teeth settled onto the grass, looking around in the sunlight.
The Seviper shook its head a few times, bemused by the sudden bright light, then its gaze settled on me. Slitted eyes regarded me with a speculative, almost curious, inspection. I'd seen them the night before, but they were burning with hunger then; now, they were... accepting?
Tess growled something at the snake, and it responded with a low hiss. Her tail shot up, and her eyes narrowed while taking on the multicolored swirl that suggested the Seviper's comment had been less than flattering. Tico reacted as well, curling up a little closer to my neck.
"Okay, okay, easy now," I said, waving a calming hand at Tess while stepping towards the Seviper. "Hi there. I'm Adam, and I'm your trainer. I know it's kind of sudden, but I think we can all work well together, and if you ask these two they'll tell you that I'm a good guy to learn from."
Its head tilted from one side to the next, those hefty fangs shifting along with it as it considered that comment. I smiled encouragingly. "So what I'd like is to see what you can do, all right? We should be able to find some wild Pokemon for you to test your skills against, and I can evaluate where the best place to start will be. How's that sound?"
It regarded me for a moment longer, then that big head gave a nod. "Good!" I gave Tess a thumbs-up, and she grumbled something unflattering. "Oh come on, Tess, let's give our new friend the benefit of the doubt."
We moved further off the route and found some tall grass patches. Tess sent some low-level shock waves through them, and eventually a Taillow burst out of the brush, chirping grumpily at her. I motioned to the Seviper, which slithered forward in that undulating motion and eyed up the bird-type with what appeared to be disdain.
By the time Tess and I realized what was going on, it was already too late.
"WHOA!" I shouted, lunging forward, while Tess joined in. Tico, for his part, burrowed into my shirt and shivered. It was useless - the Taillow was nothing but a bulge slowly working its way down the snake's body. "What the hell, why did you..."
The Seviper turned to look at me with what passed for an innocent expression and hissed questioningly. I frowned and glanced at Tess for an interpretation. The growl I got back from her was unmistakable in its anger. "Okay, well, this is going badly so far."
I walked around in front of the Seviper and knelt down. "Look. I have food for you, so you don't have to hunt like that. Frankly, if you ask these two, they'll let you know it tastes better, anyhow. Do you understand?"
The snake snipped a little hiss at me and turned its head away. Tico whistled something from inside my shirt; the Seviper looked back and glared right at him where he was peeking out of my collar. It said something in that sibilant way. My Luxray reacted instantly, and before I could do anything had the poison-type face-down on the ground, her jaws clamped around the back of its neck.
"Whoa whoa WHOA!" I whipped out the snake's Pokeball and recalled it before things got even worse. Tess growled, but her fur slowly settled back to normal and that swirl of anger in her eyes eased up.
I sat on a log and regarded the Pokeball in my hand. It wasn't often that I had a Pokemon actively treat me like I wasn't worth its time, and the ones that had all came around. The difference was that - and it was hard to admit to myself, but true - I was awful with poison-types. I'd rarely carried one in a team, leaning more towards aggressive types like fire and electric. Frankly, I had no real idea how to deal with a Seviper and an attitude problem at the same time.
Tess stroked herself along my knees and rumbled quietly, while Tico extricated himself from my shirt and hopped up to perch on my head. "Thanks guys. I hate to say it, but we need to head back to town. I'm going to need some help with this one, and I think I know just the place."
It was near dark when we walked back into the city. Thankfully, the hotel was fairly quiet so we got a room quickly. We settled in, grabbed a light meal, and I made a phone call.
The line rang several times, enough that I figured the place had closed for the night, but on ring seven someone picked up. "Hello? Pokemon Fan Club, Slateport clubhouse."
"Oh, hi! I've got a problem with one of my Pokemon, and was hoping there might be someone you could recommend who's good with poison-types."
"Poison?" The voice at the other end chuckled. "You called the right place, friend. I'm Dennis Davies, the club president, and I'm very good with poison-types. I was just heading home for the night, but would you like to come by tomorrow?"
"Sure. How about mid-morning sometime?"
"Sounds good! Who am I expecting?"
I winced slightly. Even in a different region, introducing myself could be a little challenging - a lot of trainers tend to be, let's call them 'frantic minds.' They get a little excited sometimes. Oh well.
"Adam. Adam Caraway."
There was a pause. "Caraway? The former champion, from Sinnoh?"
"Yeah."
"Well!" He sounded impressed but not to the level of freaking out. I breathed out slightly. "I'll look forward to meeting you - we've got some of your books on the shelves here! And..." I could hear the sly look on Dennis' face over the phone. "I'll keep it quiet. You probably get swamped if people recognize you."
"I appreciate that. Thanks. See you tomorrow."
Tess looked up from her upside-down sprawl on the sofa as I hung up. "We've got a date tomorrow morning. This guy sounds like he knows his stuff... maybe he can sort out our snooty Seviper."
My Luxray rolled her eyes at my sibilant statement and yawned. "I'm glad my comedy is to your amusement, Tess." She rumbled happily as I rubbed her chest. "Anyhow, that leaves us with the evening free. Tico?"
The Natu chirruped curiously from where he was inspecting a fruit tray.
"Let's work on that drill peck a little more, huh, buddy? It's pretty good, but a little more oomph on it and you'll be a knockout. Literally."
Tico whistled a little song and flew over. I picked an apple out of the fruit and grinned. "Think we should put this on the kitty's head for a target? Yipe!"
I rubbed my backside where the tiny little zip of electricity had caught me, and glared at Tess. She yawned again and rolled over, pointedly ignoring me. Yep, size doesn't matter - she's still a cat.
Oh well. I tossed the apple into the air, pointed, and said "Tico! Drill peck!"
In retrospect, using a potentially squishy fruit as a target for that move in a hotel room may have been a bad idea. When Tico hit it on the money a foot or two away from me, it turned into applesauce, and I wore a lot of it. So did the room.
A half-hour of cleaning made it better, but left me smelling like a cider factory. Tico decided to sleep in his poke ball, so I put him away and headed for the bath.
Roughing it is a big part of the Pokemon trainer lifestyle. We spend weeks in the wilderness sleeping in tents, bathing in streams, getting rained on and such so we can catch the Pokemon that we feel we can succeed with. Having said that, I absolutely love a good hot bath. The hotel I'd found had amazing bathrooms, and included a nice big soaker tub that I put to good use.
I sank to the armpits in the hot water, relaxing and thinking back on the last few days. The situation with the Seviper was an odd one for me - I had worked with dozens of Pokemon of all types, but this one baffled me. Why it would eat wild when I could provide it food much easier was confusing as hell. Why it would threaten my other companions like I assume it did before Tess pinned it was even more confusing. It had to know it was outnumbered, and even wild Pokemon usually have some idea of how the relationship between trainer and Pokemon works... it was a mystery.
I sipped my soda and settled a little deeper into the water, then looked up as the door opened. Tess poked her head through with a questioning rumble. "Come on in, Tess," I said, waving her over.
The Luxray padded over and sat next to the bath, settling her head on the side. I stroked her ears and smiled. "Decided to be sociable, huh? How un-catlike," I teased. She snorted.
Between the warm water and the company, I started to relax. Tess closed her eyes and pressed her head into my fingers. I smiled at that, thinking about how our relationship had changed just in the past day. It felt good to have such a solid companion in my life - we had been close before, and now I felt even closer to her. We made a good team.
The two of us relaxed for a while as the bath steamed, then Tess shifted and stood. "What's up?" I inquired as the large feline stretched, then daintily dipped a toe into the water. "Ah... did you want a bath too?"
She didn't answer, just carefully stepped first one, then the other forepaw into the water between my feet. I chuckled quietly, watching her carefully swing her hind feet around and plunk them down as well. "Careful with the electricity in here, okay?" I said, watching her tail star wave around in front of me. Tess purred something and settled down to sit on her haunches between my thighs.
"Well, this is nice," I said, reaching up to stroke my fingers along the big cat's back. She purred louder, and leaned back into my touch. "I seem to recall you being less than enthusiastic about water in the past, though."
She looked over her shoulder and deliberately stuck her tongue out at me.
It was rather a silly thing to see a Luxray do, and I broke down laughing hard enough to not notice her turning around until one paw plunked down on my head and dunked me. I came up sputtering and glared - and she stuck her tongue out again.
From there it was on.
We were both soaked through by the time we settled back down. I slumped against the end of the tub, laughing, and Tess flopped her head down on my shoulder, dripping everywhere and purring goofily. I wrapped my arms around her middle and hugged. "Thanks, Tess, I was hoping to mop the floor before bed tonight."
She licked the side of my neck with a low rumble, then stood and shifted to straddle my legs, her body dropping down to press fully against me. My Luxray's hips wriggled, shifting against my groin in deliberate movements. I kissed one of her ears and she shivered. "Oh, I see what this is about."
Tess purred and turned her head, brushing a lick against my cheek; I shifted to meet her muzzle and pressed my lips against hers. It was still a little odd to be kissing a Pokemon with such a different mouth structure, but hey, practice makes perfect, right? Her wide tongue brushed against mine sensuously. I wondered how she'd learned to kiss, but between the pleasure of that kiss and the movement of her hips most of my mind was becoming preoccupied with something else.
Finally I pulled back and touched noses with my furry partner. "Hey. Could you pull the plug on the tub for me please?"
She mrowled an assent and carefully turned around in the tub, reaching down to catch the plug release with one claw and pull it up. With her facing away from me and on all fours, I took advantage by tugging her tail up out of the way, leaning down and burying my face between her thighs.
Those soft sex lips tasted just as good fresh out of the bath as they had the night before. I ran my tongue over them slowly but with a firm pressure, parting them slightly with the tip. Tess stiffened and rowled in surprise, then relaxed and pushed back against my probing touch.
Fluid started to flow as I lapped at the Luxray's tight slit, my tongue seeking out the firm bud of her clitoris just inside, circling around it, teasing before I went back to longer strokes to help build Tess's arousal. She dropped her head and panted, rumbling and purring and twitching every time I found a good spot in those tasty, slick folds.
Her muscles clenched around my finger when I pushed it slowly into her, and I started pushing in and out gently while working my tongue constantly. I pondered a moment, then grinned to myself and started working her clit with my thumb, keeping the Pokemon occupied while my tongue wandered further up her rump. Her tail shot bolt upright when I pressed my wet tongue tip against the tight bud of her anus, and she shivered, hard.
"Is this okay?" I asked, letting my breath tickle across that sensitive spot. Tess shuddered again, paused, then pushed back into me. I took that as assent and started lapping at her rear again, circling the tight ring of muscle with the tip of my tongue, gently teasing the bud while working my fingers into her vagina steadily.
Tess leaned against the side of the bathtub, panting, while I worked her over. My fingers were dripping from her arousal. I pumped them in and out, angling to stimulate her clit, and pushed my tongue more firmly against her butt, and something hit just the right spot. She yowled and clenched and came, wetly, spreading even more of those aromatic fluids over my hand. I smiled and held my fingers deep inside her until the convulsions slowed, then slid them out.
"Like that?" I asked, nuzzling against her rump. She looked over her shoulder and meowed weakly. I grinned and nipped her tail. "Good. Now let me hop out."
I think she figured I'd take her right there, because her expression was one of surprise when I slipped out of the tub - erection and all - and grabbed two towels. One I used to quickly dry myself while the Luxray got out of the tub, and the other I used to give her a mop-down.
"Quick-dry, Tess?"
She shimmered with electricity. A puff of steam rose from her fur as the low-level charge vaporized the water that caught in her fur.
"I envy you that trick. C'mere, you."
Good thing I'm in fairly good shape, because scooping up a Luxray in one motion to carry her out of the bathroom was just about a bad idea. It seemed great in my head, but I wobbled just a bit in the process.
I plunked Tess down on the bed and crawled up onto my knees as she turned to watch, her eyes locking onto my half-erect cock. I stroked her cheek affectionately. She purred, shifting closer. "Suck me?" I asked, motioning to my arousal.
Tess licked her lips and practically lunged onto me. Her tongue curled along the length, and I stiffened almost instantly.
One day I'll write a book about Pokemon sexuality. The research should be very interesting. I'd love to figure out how they learn to do some of the things they do - like how Tess had learned how to kiss, and to give such a fantastic blow job. Her lips sealed around my base and slowly drew up and down while that slightly raspy tongue made circles against the tip of my shaft, sending pleasurable chills up and down my spine. "Oh, damn, Tess... that feels so good."
She rumbled around my shaft and damn near made me come on the spot. I groaned and clenched and fought back the urge, drawing back out of that warm, wet grasp. My Luxray looked up at me as innocently as she could manage, and purred inquisitively.
I made a little circular motion with one finger. Tess stropped her entire body along my erection, settled facing away from me with her chest lowered slightly, and slowly raised her rump into an unmistakeable pose. She looked over her shoulder with a smirk. "Lllllux."
I wasn't about to turn that offer down. Kneeling behind my Pokemon, I slid my cock tip up and down her slick slit, then pushed in with a low, long groan. She ground back slowly onto me until our bodies met, my length fully embraced in her folds, then started to rock her hips against me slowly. "Mmmrgh," I managed, reaching down to grasp that feline body around the middle, pulling her hips up a little higher for leverage as I started to thrust into her with slow strokes.
Tess arched her back as we moved together, wriggling herself around me as I filled her with each push into that wet heat. I stroked up over her hips and caught the Luxray's tail at the base. She yowled with growing heat, and I pulled her back onto myself, burying my cock to the root with rapid-fire pumps that pushed her into a growling, clenching orgasm.
It was fulfilling watching my partner convulse and grip my shaft as she came, fluids seeping out and down my thighs as she destroyed a pillowcase with her sharp claws. She slowed down finally, and I went back to work, pumping eagerly against her hips, feeling my own heat rising.
Just for fun, I slipped my thumb down to stroke through a pool of her juices, then slid it back up and pushed it against the ring of her rump, still damp from my earlier ministrations. Her head came up and she groaned, pushing back as I penetrated that tight rear just a little. I pushed in and out slightly on that thumb in time with my thrusts, panting as my peak neared, then stiffened and drove all the way into the Luxray. She pushed back and gripped me tight, and I exploded, pumping a hot load of cum deep into Tess's belly.
We stayed that way for long moments, savoring the closeness and the afterglow, before my knees gave out and I slipped out of the Pokemon. I slumped onto my back on the bed, and Tess crawled over to settle her head against my shoulder. It was handy, so I gave her nose a kiss, and she wrinkled her muzzle a little, draping a paw over my chest.
"Sleep time now?" I asked. She nodded and purred, and we faded into sleep tangled happily together.
After a hearty breakfast, I found some one-on-one matches for Tico and trained for a couple of hours, then we headed for the Pokemon Fan Club across town. I didn't expect anyone to recognize me outside of the clubhouse, but still I picked up a ball cap for the local team and became a fan of the Slateport Barons for the day.
The clubhouse was a modest two-story walkup that was festooned with Pokemon League logos and such. A few trainers were milling around outside, chatting and having mini-battles, but other than a couple of impressed gazes at the Luxray keeping pace with me, nobody said much of anything.
Inside, I found a tall, slightly portly gentleman in business casual dress sitting behind a desk who I assumed was Dennis Davies. He looked up and smiled widely as I entered. "Ah! I'm glad you could make it!" he said, standing and offering a hand. "Come in!"
I smiled. "Nice to meet you, Dennis. Thanks for agreeing to see me."
"Of course! Always happy to help a fellow trainer. Come on, I've got a meeting room upstairs we can use." Dennis looked down next to me and his eyes widened. "That is a beautiful Luxray. May I examine her a little more closely?"
I looked down to Tess, who glanced back and yawned. "Tess doesn't seem to mind."
"Wonderful! I haven't had many opportunities to meet Luxrays out here." He knelt and stroked a gentle hand along her shoulder, looking at the feline's mane and tail with a smile. "Very good condition. You do good work with your Pokemon."
"Lots of practice. Plus, Tess is one of the best I've ever worked with."
"That's saying an awful lot, considering." Dennis stood and motioned to the stairs. "But, to business. Come, please. I have coffee on."
"You said the secret word."
Soon I had a mug of light, sweet trainer fuel in one hand and Dennis had my Pokedex in his, looking over the statistics on my Seviper as the 'dex had them recorded. He listened as I explained how we had met the snake and its behavior on the way back into town.
"So, that's the problem. It... well, frankly, it's a bit of an asshole to both me and my other Pokemon. And it seems to not understand that it shouldn't be eating other Pokemon - which I'm sure you can understand is a problem for me." I motioned to Tico, who was napping on my shoulder, tucked up just inside my collar. "I don't want any misunderstandings, you know?"
He handed back my Pokedex. "Well, unfortunately, poison-types tend to be rather standoffish unless they have a lot of confidence in their trainers. I can attest to that from personal experience - I've got a Skuntank that loves me to death now, but when I caught it as a Stunky, I can't tell you how many times I had to deep clean my clothes and use Antidotes after a poison gas bomb."
"Oof. Never had that problem with any of my crew, but like I said I tend to be more aggressive and less status-oriented, you know?" I rubbed Tess's ears. "My training style is very much one-on-one and confidence-building rather than building myself a cult of personality right off the start."
Dennis sipped his coffee, tapping the table with a pen idly. "That doesn't necessarily mean you can't succeed with a poison-type. Maybe you should do some truly one-on-one work - keep the other two away and do it solo. Let it see your personality without distractions."
"Huh. I hadn't thought of that."
"Given time and less targets for it to be snarky at, and you may see some success." He paused. "Speaking of, may I see this Seviper?"
"Oh, sure. Just a sec." I nudged Tico with a finger. "Hey, bud?"
There was a sleepy chirp from my neck region.
"I'm gonna put you in your ball for a few minutes, okay? Not long."
He cheeped, and I triggered his Pokeball, drawing him in. Tess eyed me as if to say 'not a chance,' so I didn't even ask.
The Seviper materialized on the floor, coiled up and looking snarky as usual. It looked around, then up at me. It hissed snippily, ignored Tess, and studied the new face.
Dennis looked it over and tapped his lips lightly. "A little thin, but looks in good shape. Pretty standard for recently captured." He walked around the snake, which followed him with his gaze almost curiously. "Ah! Female. Maybe some same-gender clash with your Luxray, as well."
I lifted an eyebrow. "I didn't even check the plumbing. Thanks for that bit of info."
"Oh, it can be hard to tell with some of these types. There's some subtle differences in things like the shape of the tail, the location of markings." Dennis sat down. "She's really quite a nice specimen, overall. It may take some work to get her in line, though."
"Well, I don't have any deadlines or particular goals right now, so I've got plenty of time." I drew the poison-type back into her ball and replaced it, then released Tico; he fluttered right back to his spot on my shoulder, rubbed against my cheek, and went back to sleep. "Man, that training must've really worn this poor guy out."
Dennis chuckled. "Hard training means quick evolution, right?"
"True. Though I don't think he'll like it when he evolves into a Xatu - no way is he riding my shoulder then." I grimaced. "That's a good way to need a massage on a regular basis."
Dennis gave me directions to a training park nearby, and I made my way over, Tess pacing me and studying the neighbourhood around us with curiosity. Slateport is a water town, and it's pleasant enough, I suppose, but I was too lost in thought to worry about the architecture as we strolled along.
The park was very nicely designed; almost like tennis courts, it was separated into a dozen or so individual battle facilities with different types of ground, all separated by high walls for privacy and safety. I rented a grass-type court for the afternoon. The grass waved back and forth in the soft breeze as Tess, Tico and I walked in.
"Okay, guys," I said, kneeling down to rub Tess's ears. "I know you won't like this, Tess, but I need to have a few hours alone with the newcomer."
Tess grumbled something that I'm sure was naughty.
"I know, I know, you don't trust her. I understand that." I cupped the Luxray's chin and stroked it affectionately. "If this doesn't work out, then it doesn't work out and we'll find a different solution. But for this afternoon, just trust me. Okay?"
"Ray," she grumbled sharply, but nuzzled my fingers in acquiescence.
"Thanks, Tess." I smiled and energized her Pokeball, then Tico's. Once they were back on my belt, I pulled out the new one.
The Seviper hissed inquiringly when it had emerged fully, looking around.
"Hey," I said quietly. "Welcome back."
She brought that heavily-fanged head around and locked gazes with me. Her tongue flicked out, tasting, evaluating.
I sat down on the ground, got down on her level and met those intense eyes. "We got off on the wrong foot, I think. I know you're still miffed about being captured, but the fact is that I will take damn good care of you - better than you'd get out in the bush on your own."
Her snippy little hiss suggested disbelief.
"Yeah, I know. Some human shouldn't be able to give you a better life, right?" I smiled. "It's true though. Give me some time, and I'll show you how to use your natural skills far better, and more effectively."
She snorted, but there was a curious little hitch to the sound this time.
I reached out a hand. "Deal?"
The Seviper looked at that hand, then leaned forward - I didn't even flinch as those huge fangs got closer - and tapped my fingers with her nose.
"Great!" I stood up. Dennis had given me some treats popular with poison-types; I brought one out and set it down for her to investigate. She flicked her tongue at it, then made it disappear in one quick snap of her neck. "Right. I've got more of those, and I'll share as we work on things. Now, let's see what moves you know, okay?"
I ran through the known moves that Seviper tended to pick up in the wild, and ran through a few more treats before I had her move set worked out. It was an interesting collection, based around the signature Poison Tail that most Seviper were able to manage; she had also figured out Venoshock, along with more basic stuff like Bite and Wrap.
"I can work with these," I said, giving her one last treat. "Now, let's see how strong you are."
I'd rented some decoys to use as targets, and set one out. "Okay. Let's do something simple first, okay?" I pointed at the target. "Use Bite!"
She hissed, coiled a little and lunged, sinking her fangs firmly into the soft target, then settled back and looked at me inquisitively.
"Not bad, not bad. But not very strong."
Her eyes narrowed and she flicked her tail. I held up a hand. "Not a criticism, just a critique. Do it again, please?"
She did, twice, before I'd confirmed what I had seen. "Okay, here's what I'm seeing. Your jaw strength is strong, but you aren't moving fast enough into the strike - a quick opponent will just get out of the way. I bet you've missed a few other Pokemon in the bush, right?"
Her gaze averted slightly.
"Right. So here's something you want to try." I knelt down next to her. "Coil up like you're going to Bite, please?"
I think she was surprised by the 'please' in my request. Her body curled and settled in as if to strike. "Okay, hold it right there. See, you're too loose in the front here." I touched her forward coils - her scales were cool and dry, and flinched slightly under my fingertips. "If you put more of your weight forward, but lift more of your neck and bring it back so you can launch yourself from this point, you'll get more velocity."
"Sssssev?" The snake pondered, and shifted herself to meet my suggestion. She looked at me questioningly.
"Yeah, just like that." I stood back. "Try it again. Use Bite!"
The Seviper lashed out with a hiss and slapped hard into the target, which rocked under the impact. It had a couple of holes in the soft foam when she recovered, too.
"There you go!"
She looked surprised at the results. I handed her a treat and smiled. "Want to practice that a bit?"
"Ssss!"
I settled back to watch as the Seviper struck several times at the decoy, making little suggestions here and there to improve the impact, until she settled back looking eminently pleased with herself. "See? A little bit of feedback and you get better. Right?"
Her head nodded firmly, and she tapped my knee with her snout a couple of times. I smiled. "Okay. Let's work on Wrap for a while. Go grab that thing, let me see your strength."
She hissed, pleased, and launched at the battered decoy with obvious confidence. "Still got it, Caraway," I murmured to myself, watching the poison-type entangle the dummy with enthusiasm.
A few hours later, I had a tired but pleased-with-herself Seviper on my hands and an empty treat bag. I was sitting against the wall of the battle box with her coiled near my feet, munching the last of the goodies. "So, hey," I said, getting her attention. "I want to bring the other two out and have a group conversation. You guys haven't gotten off to the best start, I know, but these two are part of the team, and I'd like all of you to work together. And I need you to stop intimidating Tico. Please."
Her eyes narrowed a little, and I saw her tail twitch - a tell I was starting to pick up that indicated she was irritated - but she gave a short nod.
"Okay." I drew out my other pokeballs and flipped them out on the far side of myself. Tico and Tess emerged together, and the little Natu fluttered over to park on Tess's head, both of them eyeing the Seviper.
"Hey, you two. I wanted all of us to have a discussion real quick. We..." I motioned to the poison-type. "...have had a good afternoon of training, and I think we understand each other pretty well by now. Right?"
The Seviper looked at me and hissed with a distinctly apologetic tone. Tess perked an ear in surprise. I grinned. "I think she's willing to give this whole 'part of a team' thing a try."
Tico chirped at the snake. She stared at him for just a moment, then dropped her gaze. "Vviper."
"Well?" I asked my two Pokemon. They looked at each other, then at me. Tico fluttered up and over to settle on my shoulder, chirping a friendly song down at the Seviper. Tess padded over, sniffed the snake nose to nose, then gave me a slow nod.
The Seviper relaxed visibly, and issued a little humming hiss, looking up to me with an unreadable gaze.
"Good. Thanks, all of you." I stroked Tess's head and Tico rubbed his cheek against mine with a happy cheep. Then I ran a hand over the Seviper's head. She pushed back into it. "There we go. One big family, right? Now... how about we go back and have a nice family dinner."
There was an assorted chorus of Pokemon sounds.
"I'll take that as a collective yes."
We had a lazy evening back at the hotel that featured room service for everyone and a couple of bad monster movies - I mean, who ever thought seeing a giant Charizard stomping around in a city would be good box office? - and then settled in for the evening. I put our new friend and Tico in their balls, then looked at Tess, who was sprawled upside-down on the sofa half-asleep. "Coming to bed?" I inquired. One eye opened slightly, she shifted on the sofa and closed her eyes again. "Okay. I'll leave the door open if you change your mind."
I ruffled the fur on her chest gently. She purred. "Goodnight, Tess."
It had been a good day, I decided as I settled into bed. Any day I could relieve some tension among my team was a good one - and I had managed to get over my challenges with poison types in the process. With all that out of the way, we could continue on our way into the Hoenn countryside.
With visions of new trainers and new Pokemon drifting through my mind, I faded off to sleep.
Why was the room so warm?
That question filtered through the fog of sleep slowly but surely. I lay in the aftermath of some forgotten dream, processing the sensory input as if my brain was wrapped in a Mareep-wool blanket.
It was warm. Or at least, my body was warm. Parts of it were cooler than others.
The bed seemed lumpy. Had I never noticed that before?
My left foot stung. Had I been bitten by some bug?
I couldn't move.
Wait. What?
My eyes shot open. The room was dark except for a pair of ruby-red eyes hanging not far from mine, the gold between them shining in what light there was.
The Seviper hissed from inches away, and shifted. I vaguely felt the bed shift beneath me - well, around, really - and realized she had me neatly wrapped in her coils. That was why it was warm - her body had me mostly covered - and the reason for the lumps in the beds.
I tried to struggle, but still had no ability to move. My foot twinged again, and I jumped to what was becoming an obvious conclusion: somehow the strong-willed Seviper had escaped her Pokeball and slipped into the room. My frequent habit of hanging a foot out from under the covers to cool off had given her a target, and I was paralyzed by a dose of her poison.
This was a position I'd never been in before with any of my Pokemon - essentially entirely at its mercy. Frankly, it scared the hell out of me. I had no idea what the Seviper was thinking, or what it was up to.
Thankfully, I had backup - the door was still open a crack. I opened my mouth to call for Tess... or at least I tried, and failed. Even that was paralyzed. I was still breathing, so that was good, but motor functions seemed to be offline, as it were.
She stared at me for a long moment with those inscrutable eyes, then she shifted again, this time with a deliberate motion that would have made me shiver had I been able to. I realized, to my surprise and chagrin, that I had a massive erection. Maybe it was a side effect of the poison, I don't know, but I was hard as a rock, and the Seviper was coiling to rub up against it with slow, deliberate movements. Her coils were smooth and warm everywhere against my skin - and then a spot brushed over my shaft that was warmer and wetter and I realized what was going on.
Well, Adam, I thought while hoping the poison would wear off soon, here's a new situation: you're about to be raped by a Pokemon. That ought to get a few folks buying the next book.
The poison showed no signs of letting up any time soon, but I kept trying to force my limbs to move. It was no use. The Seviper hissed, flicked her tongue against my face a few times, and curled tighter around me. I felt that damp spot brush along my erection again, once, twice - as if she was trying to align things properly - then the tip hooked into the hot dip that was her genital folds and she froze, then with one quick clench pulled herself onto me.
It was quite the sensation, and I would probably have enjoyed it were I not entirely out of control of the situation. Her eyes opened wide in front of me and she seemed to flinch, pulling back off my shaft almost all the way. I suspected that she had never done this before, and the sensation wasn't quite what she had expected. Good, I thought in a disjointed manner; maybe she'd give up.
The Seviper didn't. Her coils clenched again and pulled me back into the heat of her body. Her eyes closed again, and she leaned her head down to rest against my neck, tongue flicking in and out rapidly. Those thick coils rippled, clenched, and shifted enough to start sliding my length in and out of her a couple of inches with each stroke in a slow but steady undulation.
Part of my mind was angry at this treatment, but the fact that I was disassociated from it by the paralysis and the poison meant that I could set that aside as she essentially used me as a sex toy and try to figure out why she would do so. She and Tess had been conversing amiably during the movie; maybe my Luxray lover had mentioned our still-fresh relationship, and the Seviper had decided that this was how she cemented her position on the team? Or perhaps it was how Seviper in the wild showed their superiority with one another?
Whatever the reasoning, she was obviously enjoying herself. Her tongue was tapping against my bare skin rapidly and her body was slapping against my groin with a growing urgency. The heated tunnel grasping my erection was clenching with each stroke deep within. The orgasm seemed to sneak up on her; the Seviper's body clenched around me - in more ways than one - and she shuddered all up and down that long form for a few moments. Finally, she sagged, tongue lolling, her coils easing their way from around me to leave me frozen under a pool of satiated snake.
My hopes that she had had enough were dashed when, after a moment, the stroking started again. Her body thrust down onto mine again, steadily, and I rocked back to push deeper - and realized that I was able to move, very slightly, at least.
It wasn't much - enough that I was almost instinctually thrusting into the tight warmth of the Seviper's... cloaca? Vagina? I wasn't sure. But it was enough.
I tried to call out, but managed only a weak moan. The snake didn't notice; she was too focused on the sensations of my cock plunging into her at growing speed. To be honest, it was getting to me, too; despite the situation, my body was reacting as one might expect when something warm and wet is slurping up and down one's erection.
She raised her head and hissed lazily down at my face, her tongue flickering over my cheeks while she "rode" me. Her focus on me meant that she missed the muted red flash from the direction of the door that I caught out of the corner of my eye.
More and more of my body was starting to recover from the dose of poison; I could feel my feet starting to shift, and my fingers were curling. A few more moments and I should be able to pull the Seviper off, I thought.
A low whir of wings came across the room as she ground down on me, her eyes closing and muscles clenching as another orgasm played through her long body. It looked like it came as quite a shock when Tico's Drill Peck whacked against the side of her head.
The Seviper arched up in surprise above me, fangs flashing in the dim light. Her head turned to try and see where her attacker had gone, just in time for a low, angry feline growl to echo through the room.
A pinprick of light grew to an angry yellow glow. I tried to shout at Tess, but my voice was still useless.
The Thundershock slammed into my assailant with all the force a pissed-off Luxray can put behind it. Unfortunately, at that point, I was still intimately connected with said assailant.
Electricity surged through the Seviper - and me. The wild contractions of her muscles threw her off me and sent her sprawling in a messy heap of convulsions. I didn't have quite the same level of reaction - mostly. Not being the main target of the attack, my muscles clamped down and I shuddered on the bed. There was one other reaction, though.
You know how farmers and Pokemon husbandry experts sometimes use gentle electric shocks to milk semen from males?
Well, apparently it works on humans too.
The Seviper's slick grip yanked abruptly off just in time for me to have a massive orgasm. My cock pulsed and an impressive gush of semen spurted into the air - and splattered all over the snake's face. A second followed the first, this one coating my chest, and then more and more, until I was sure I'd be dry for a week.
Once the electricity had crackled through our bodies, we both slumped onto the bed. I twitched a few times, and discovered my arms were moving again, a little; I shoved the unconscious Seviper off myself weakly. Tess paced forward, still growling, and I realized she was carrying something in her mouth - a Pokeball. She looked at me, then spat the ball at the Seviper; it bounced, energized, and in a moment I was alone on the bed.
I tried my voice again. "Th-thanks," I managed, barely. "Poison... antidote?"
Tess rumbled and walked away again. Tico fluttered down and found a clean spot on my chest to land. "Good job," I murmured. He flicked his wings with irritation and reached to preen some feathers. I realized with embarrassment that there were some splatters of semen on his plumage. Apparently I'd gotten him too. "...sorry."
He shrugged and went back to grooming as Tess returned with an antidote from my bag.
"Are you sure, Adam? I'm sure with some additional work you'd-"
I put a hand up to stop Dennis there. We were back in his office; I was still a little weak from the aftereffects of the poison, but I had some business to attend to.
There was no damn way I was going to take a Seviper that would cross as many lines as this one had out into the bush with me. Tess, Tico and I had decided that once I'd managed to get out of bed. Besides, Tess - who had been less than apologetic about nearly roasting me along with the snake; I suspect the unintentional facial had amused her - would probably have killed her outright had she been given the opportunity.
I had released her long enough to wipe the semen from her face, at least, so she would be presentable for whoever let her out of the damn ball next.
"I appreciate that poison-types have their positives, but this one... She's got some good strengths, but there are some pretty harsh behavioural issues that - well, I just don't want anything more to do with it." I set the ball on the desk. "If you'd be interested in a trade, I'd be happy to let you have first crack. Otherwise, I'll be putting her on the wire right away."
Dennis raised an eyebrow. "That bad, huh? What did she do?"
"Let's just say she was... inappropriately aggressive, and leave it at that. Okay?"
Tess snickered. I thumped her lightly with the side of my foot.
"Hm. Well, if it's a case where you simply can't manage it, I understand." He rubbed his chin and thought for a moment. "All right. I'd be happy to trade for her."
I rubbed Tess's ears and watched him pull up something on his computer. "Mm... let's see, what would - ah. Poetic, that." He downloaded a file to his Pokedex and handed it to me. "Would this be a fair exchange?"
"What have we - oh!" I held the 'dex down for Tess to see, and lifted an eyebrow. She stared at the image, then gave a low rumble of assent. "Yeah. Let's do it."
"Excellent!"
The clubhouse had a trade system, of course, and within minutes Dennis had a new Seviper.
He escorted us to the door with a smile. "Thanks again. I'll take good care of her."
"Good. Oh! You might want to get a more secure Pokeball for her, by the way."
He lifted an eyebrow. "Oh?"
"She seems adept at getting out of that one."
"Good to know!" He extended a hand, and I shook. "Thanks again. Please drop by any time!"
We walked away, leaving Dennis to stare at the ball in his hand. I heard him mutter "Inappropriately aggressive?" questioningly as we turned the corner.
He'd figure it out, I'm sure.
Tess bumped her head against my hip. I looked down at her. Tico was riding in her mane, chirping softly to himself. Despite the night's misadventures, I smiled at the image.
"So, shall we go meet our new teammate?"
Both Pokemon sounded their agreement.
We returned to the training park and rented a field. Tico settled onto the head of a training dummy and Tess settled on her haunches as I drew the new ball out. "All right. Let's make it feel at home, okay?"
They both voiced agreement. I flipped the ball out onto the field, and we all watched as the red beam burst forth and coalesced.
It was a mostly white form, broken up by the distinct jagged red highlights on chest, face and paws; a little slimmer than others I'd seen, but through the thick fur looked well-toned.
The Zangoose blinked in the morning light, then focused on the three of us.
"Good morning," I said, with a smile. Tess rumbled softly, her tail swaying. Tico chirped curiously and flitted over to do a lap around our new friend's head, then returned to perch on my shoulder.
The Zangoose looked us over impassively, then its muzzle slipped into a cheerful smile. "Zaan!" she said in a bright, happy voice, and stepped forward to join the team.
