But this is not something so easily done, and she is uncertain how it will affect him just yet.

Story and all other characters are (C) me.
Angel and Billy took their left overs after she finally had enough to eat. Billy had ordered four more pizzas to go, just ot make sure she had enough to keep her fed for a while. The wolfess was content, and sighed softly as she was escorted out of the pizzeria. The waitress looked at the tip she was given. Their order had come to well over three hundred dollars, and Billy had left her a sixty dollar tip.
The father and daughter headed to the SUV, Angel with her food in paw. Buckling herself in, she waited for Billy to start the motor. As he was buckling up, he noticed she was smiling lightly, and patting the top of the boxes. He made a note of it, but let it pass. After all, as long as she was happy then he was content.
The drive back to the motel was short, and Angel was first to get back into the room. Setting the pizzas on the table, she pulled her jacket off. Taking a fresh pack of smokes from the carton, she tossed them on the bed and then pulled her pants off. Casting them on a chair with her jacket, she took one of the pizza's to the bed and settled down. Picking up the remote she channel searched until she found some Anime.
Relaxing back, she let out a soft sigh, and started to binge watch as she snacked. Billy returned to the room he had shared with Lola, and got some fresh clothing. The group there were still working along, though Bojo was dozing in the corner. Lola was typing away at her keyboard as Asteria leaned over Sierra's shoulder and watched.
There was nothing between them now that really bothered them. They were just compiling the data. Asteria looked up at Billy as he got some clothing, and she smiled at him. She was glad that he had gotten Angel out of the room for a while. It was not a cure to her aching heart, but it was a step in the right direction.
As Billy bid them goodnight, they waved to him and let him go. Asteria turned her attention back to the screen with the shepherd. They were looking at reports from public police records about incidents going back a long time. There was nothing really interesting until about fifty years after the town got started. Then every fifty years there was a wave of incidents like what was happening now. That told them that whatever was doing this, was doing it in a repeating pattern. It was a living thing and not just a force.
Asteria plotted the points on the map with different color pens to dictate the years each set of incidents happened. They found that the incidents took place in groupings around the same relative area of the city. Near the east end where it was mostly high rise apartments and middle class houses. But the exact locations were varied and did not match the same as previous incidents. The thing they were looking for was smart, not just some beast. It knew better than to continue to use the same hunting site, and changed its location each time it made a kill.
The vampire began pacing the room, wondering just what to do with this information. She was not going to get much more by staring at old news articles. And the map only gave her locations. She needed something more, something that could narrow their search to a specific type of creature. If it was using the stone, why not just place its victims in stasis? Perhaps it did not fully understand the powers of the stone and worked on instinct.
If that was the case, it must literally sleep between hunting seasons. That was the only reason she could think of for it not being more practiced with the stone. Then another thought came to her, what sort of victims was it looking for? Returning to Sierra, she told him her thought and he began crossing over into the lists of possible victims. Some Asteria ruled out based on known vampire feeding habits. Others she crossed out because they were just strange but still mortal deaths. It was the ones that seemed to have happened for no reason at all that she was interested in.
They managed to compile a list of over eighty victims through out roughly two hundred years. That was enough for her to start forming a profile on what sort of victims the creature preferred. As she set to task, Lola got up from her seat and stretched with a yawn. She told them she was going to go to bed with Bojo since he was already asleep. Asteria and Sierra nodded and let her slide into the covers with the feline.
Lola was out like a light, her soft breathing mingled with Bojo's gentle purrs. As Asteria continued to work, Sierra got up to get coffee. He was pouring a cup when he noticed that the vampire vixen was seeming a bit agitated. Coming over to her, he gave her ear a gentle thump to get her attention. She turned to him and looked up, at which point he held her the cup of coffee in his paws and motioned to the door. She nodded and took the coffee. Heading out, she returned to their shared room, and set about straightening up the bed.
There was nothing that was coming to her mind, and she figured the old guy knew better about when to take a break. As he entered with a cup of coffee of his own, she flopped back on the bed and sighed. She was digging in her pocket for her smokes when Sierra sat on the other side of the bed from her. There was nothing he would do at this point other than just relax with her and watch TV. They had food in the mini fridge to snack on, and the German Shepherd was tired enough to feel the effects of sleep deprivation early. He was sipping his coffee as she pulled out the cigs and set them on the bed. He picked up an ash tray and sat it down between them. They were quietly watching late night comedy programming, when Sierra finally spoke.
"I'm getting too old. I can't focus anymore, and my mind is fuzzy lately. I have to keep using notecards to remind myself of simple things I should know already. I put my underwear on over my pants this morning before it dawned on me what happened. I figured it was just me being up that early but... I know my mind is starting to slip. I'm messed up in the head and I cant tell how much longer I will retain my sanity." He finished speaking, and turned to look at her with regret in his eyes. The soft color of those aged irises looked deep into the vivid green of her silted pupils.
She saw it in him, he didn't want to be this way. She wondered about just biting him then and there, but the better part of her knew he had to ask for it first. He had to be ready. She reached up, cupping his cheek as she lowered her ears. He knew she wanted too, and he was beginning to wonder why she hadn't just done it yet. As he sat there looking at her, he felt her take his cig from his fingers and put it in the tray.
She set the ash tray aside and then moved to straddle his lap. She leaned close, just pressing her forehead against his as she whimpered softly. She wanted to save him so bad. But he had to let her. She could never turn anyone that was not willing. Sierra looked into her eyes, and after a moment his gaze softened as he cupped her cheek. He smiled gently, and whispered to her.
"I think I'm ready lovely. I don't want to die just yet. I still have to help you two look after those three kids," his gentle whisper came out. She nodded softly and leaned him back against the pillows. She brought her wrist up, biting into it and making sure to draw a deep gash in her flesh. Holding it to his lips, she cooed softly for him to drink as she brought her fangs to bare.
Her bite on his neck was soft, but deeper this time. She had to drain him near to death. And as she felt him wrap his lips on her wrist, his paw came behind her head and cradled her against him tightly. He wanted this, and she was going to give him the softest turning she could muster. They stayed locked like that for over an hour, as he slowly drifted down into a slumber. Asteria released her bite, and cradled him against her chest as she waited for the effects to happen.
It might take a few minutes or it might take a few days. There was no telling how long. A thought crossed her mind, making her reach over to the phone on the bedside table. Pulling it out, she sent Billy a text message about what they were doing. She assured him that Sierra had asked her for it and that she was being as gentle as she could. It was up to his body how hard it affected him.
That done, she relaxed back and pulled the ash tray over. Laying him against her chest again, he lit herself a smoke and turned the TV up to cover the sounds of his growling when he woke. She figured he would need a hunt, and she would take him out locally. She would show him how to curb the instinct and to feed gently from their loves. That way there was no need to drain some poor sod to death out there when he could always ask for a little snack with them.
Four miles away, Seth was strolling down the back alley toward Sled's apartment. He hadn't caused any trouble tonight. That strange power had left him feeling uneasy. He knew Arctic's power by this point, and the others he knew were really no concern as long as he stayed away from their turf. But this strange new power had made his mane stand on end. It felt like the grim reaper himself had touched him that moment.
Speaking of, he looked up when the beat of wings overhead caught his ear. There was Reaper, her dark grey for fluttering as she was butt naked, looking fresh form the shower. Her wings beat softly as she hovered over him, looking a bit irritated. She lowered down, looking around before looking right at him and speaking. She was the demoness that gave him the stone, and the same one that instigated the fight with Arctic. She was powerful, but elusive. She worked from the shadows, and kept her true motives secret. That was fine with Seth, as long as she stayed out of his way.
"I see you sensed it too, Seth. It's not unknown to me. She is powerful, vengeful, and most importantly she is never satisfied with just one kill. If we attract her attention, then we will have no chance just yet. Best to not draw attention to ourselves for now. If you act, do not act in populated areas." She had been lecturing him. And Seth hated being lectured. He grabbed a fistful of her chest fur and slammed her into the alley wall.
"Shut the fuck up bitch. Ain't no one tells me what to do, and I ain't scared of shit. now you gonna put out or shut the fuck up? I'm horny and I want something tight to fuck!" He yelled at her, and instantly found himself standing inside a very dark room. There was no wall, floor, or ceiling he could see. He turned around to see what was happening and found himself face to face with himself. But it was reaper's voice that spoke.
"If you ever, EVER touch me again like that, I will rip your soul out through your ass, and then make you eat it. Do I make myself clear?" she said. Seth blew her off and rolled his eyes. He knew it was no hollow threat, but he was not going to give her the satisfaction. They appeared in a hotel room, over looking the city. He looked out the window a bit before glancing back at her.
"How the fuck do you afford a place like this on a nurse salary?" he muttered. She only giggled and motioned to a wallet that was laying on the bed. Seth opened it, and spotted the ID of a rather older fur, the businessman type. Looked like Reaper had her fill as well, as she had left the old bastard's cloths on the floor, and the pile of his dust in them. Seth chuckled and rolled his eyes before flopping on the bed. He kicked out of his pants and pointed at his rather erect shaft.
Reaper hungrily eyed the zebra cock and Seth knew she was not going to say no at this point. As powerful and mighty as she was, she could be brought down with the sight of a good shaft attached to a heavy set of balls. He smirked as she practically pounced on the bed, leaning over his cock and taking the whole thing in one gulp. He leaned back, letting her have her fun as he just enjoyed getting his dick wet.
He could be good for a few days as long as he got something out of it, like the hot mouth currently sucking on his shaft. Closing his eyes he just let her do her thing. No point in rushing when they had most of the night and likely all day tomorrow. Seth enjoyed having these moments of free time where everything was handed to him. And having that shiny red rock Reaper gave him made it much, much easier to get what he wanted.
