Ch11. No Turning Back

Kyo rolled out of the bed and slowly walked up to the wolf who handed him a second robe, Kyo was sore but it was manageable. After Kyo had put the cloth on, the two walked to the door. Galle was sitting on the edge of the bed, staring out the window, as the wolf walked through the door. He immediately looked to the floor as the Alpha's gaze turned to him. "Where is he?" The alpha asked sternly.

Icewaver stepped to the side, revealing Kyo who was standing behind him. The older wolf got up off the bed and walked to Kyo before he removed the part of the robe that covered Kyo's shoulder. He saw the bite mark and sighed while looking at Icewaver.

"You care to explain?" The Alpha asked, his voice was soft but stern. Kyo could only guess he wanted this conversation between the ones inside the room.

"Father...I..." Icewaver couldn't think of anything to say as he stood uneasily in front of the Alpha.

"Well..." he said as he looked at the younger wolf. "Let's hear it."

"I couldn't help it. You know how much I care about him," the wolf blurted out.

Both Kyo and Icewaver didn't expect it when the Alpha let out a loud laugh, he smiled as he walked back to the bed and sat down on it. "Yeah I know that, what I want is an explanation on what took you so long to finally bed him."

Both the human and his master stood in front of Galle with their mouths hanging open. The Alpha just crossed his arms as he waited patiently for an answer. Icewaver stepped forward. "How was I supposed to know how you'd react? You keep telling me to find a bitch to be mated with."

The wolf nodded. "Yes I did, but did I not also tell you to be happy?"

Icewaver nodded as his gaze fell to the floor. "Yes sir."

"Ok," the wolf said, smiling as he felt like he was tormenting the young wolf. "What do you think I care more for? You finding some bitch and watch you live miserably or you taking your pet and live happily for however long?"

"Well... I guess pup since you care about us being happy more than anything," Icewaver said quietly.

Galle stood up and walked over to the younger wolf and took him into a hug. "Don't ever think I wouldn't think of you less of a wolf on your decisions." Icewaver hugged his father back. When they broke their hug, they both glared over at Kyo. "Now about that damn bite mark that you couldn't wait till we got home to give him." Icewaver blushed at his father's words.

"What are we going to do about it?" Icewaver asked.

Galle thought for a moment and smiled. "Well he is our families pet, he has to accompany you to the banquet tonight no?" Icewaver nodded. "Well I guess he should look like one don't you think." The wolf smiled as he started to walk out of the room. "Just keep him here till I get back."

Icewaver walked to the door. "But what are you going to do?" He asked but was too late as the older wolf was gone.

Icewaver walked over and sat on the bed as he motioned Kyo to come closer. When he did Icewaver grabbed him by the waist and lifted the human up so that he was sitting on his lap. Icewaver wrapped his arms around the human as he nuzzled into his neck. "That was horrible," The wolf said.

Kyo wrapped his arms around the wolf as he hugged him back. "At least he approved master."

"Yeah..." Icewaver let out a big sigh. "But I thought that he was going to kill me over this."

Kyo couldn't help but chuckle as he looked back to the bed. "Umm, master we have one more problem."

Icewaver looked back and groaned. "Oh for fuck sakes," he said as he saw the big wet stain on the bed. "I guess I'll have to clean up since you can't leave the room," the wolf said as he let Kyo go so he could get off his lap. After he walked over to the closet and got out his pants, Kyo helped the wolf change and nicely folded the blankets off the bed. Icewaver walked out of the room with the linen and spotted a human to take them and bring new ones. The day went on slowly for Kyo as he was restricted to stay in the room alone since Icewaver had things to attend to, an hour past till the slave brought the clean blankets back but even more hours passed until Galle returned with a box in hand.

He walked up to Kyo with a big smile. "Humans usually don't wear shirts, but I think this should do," he said as he took out the object and gave it to Kyo. "This will also help you to represent the wolf clan." Kyo smiled as he gave the Alpha a hug. "Put it on and see if I got the size right." Kyo did as he was told and the wolf smiled as it fit perfectly. "It usually takes a week to make it, but I managed to pull some strings with the king and his finniest men." Kyo marveled as he ran his fingers over the metal shoulder plate that covered his left shoulder that help cover the mating mark, the blue metal had gold edging as in the middle was a half moon and a wolf head in the middle of that. Galle pointed his finger at it. "This is my families crest. It signifies that you're more than a slave to us."

Kyo smiled as he hugged the wolf one last time. "Thank you sir." The wolf laughed as he pushed Kyo off him.

"Go now... I think I kept you in here long enough." Kyo bowed to the wolf before he took off out of the room. Kyo felt somewhat proud as others stopped to look at the human, for he was allowed to wear something extra than all the others. It took him a while to search through the massive building, but he managed to find his master near the dining room talking to some slaves and giving them orders to help with preparations for tonight.

Icewaver looked at Kyo in amazement at the piece of armor on his shoulder as he walked up to him. Kyo got some glares from the other humans that were standing in front of the wolf, but Kyo didn't care. Icewaver dismissed all of the humans after he finished telling them what needed to be done. He turned his attention as he brought his pup into a hug. "Now you look fit to be called a families pet," he said as he bent down and gave the human a kiss on the forehead. Kyo blushed as he looked around and saw that they were getting stares from the others. Icewaver let Kyo go as the two started to walk outside, but they were interrupted by someone yelling.

"Get the fuck out of my way." They both heard from the doorway. Icewaver motioned Kyo to the side as Angelis stormed out of the palace, followed closely by her mother, and into the carriage that was waiting for her.

Their mom just shook her head as she looked at Icewaver. "I thought she left hours ago, but she was hiding in the kitchen." She laughed.

Icewaver laughed, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall, as the carriage started to pull away. "Desperate to stay isn't she." The female wolf shrugged her shoulders. Icewaver waved at the carriage as it neared them. "Enjoy the ride home sis." Icewaver yelled out loud just to hear her scream.

His mom slapped him on the shoulder. "Stop teasing her, you already know she's pissed as it is."

The wolf giggled as he rubbed the spot his mom hit him. "All the more to do it." With that she shook her head as she walked back inside.

The day went on as preparations were being completed till the time for the banquet came. Icewaver dressed into his blue pants and an armor shoulder plate of his own to match with his pup's. The two walked over to the main doors to where the banquet was being held, it wasn't long after they entered that they were recognized and both cougars and wolves came over to pay their respect to the high ranked wolf. Soon after it didn't take long for them to start to mention about how well Kyo looked and was impressed, some even gave offers for him, which was quickly turned down. Icewaver took Kyo through the ballroom as he tried to find his family. "Don't worry, they're just jealous that I have you," he said as he spotted his father near the long table for the Alpha and king.

Before Icewaver could met him, the cougar king stood up and everyone in the room grew silent. "We are pleased to have, not only our allies, but friends come and join us in this celebration of a pact that our ancestors made many, many years ago," the king started. He went on about how a cougar clan was at war with the bear tribe, when one of the soldiers was badly wounded and was running for his life. The cougar was almost caught by the bears till out of nowhere the wolf clan intervened and came to the cougar's aid. After healing the cougar the wolves marched towards battle as allies of the cougars. If it wasn't for the wolf clan, the cougar clan would have been wiped out.

Kyo stood by his master's side as he listened to the tale unfold. By the end of it the king raised up his glass as did everyone else inside the room. "To the alliance and many more years of peace." Everyone cheered as they downed their drinks and went to take seats at tables that were scattered around the room. The chairs had nice pillows for all the furs to sit on instead of sitting on the floor like they have been doing for the past couple of days. Food was brought in and sat down in front of each guest, but no one dared touch it till the king himself started.

Kyo was standing by his master's side as the wolf waited for his plate to come. Once it did, Kyo took the plate from the slave and sat it down in front of his master, Icewaver smiled as he scooted a little in the chair and pulled the human down beside him. "We eat together," the wolf whispered to the human. Kyo couldn't help but blush as he saw the guests at the table, both wolf and cougars, were all smiling at him as they seemed to approve this unusual act.

Icewaver shared his plate with Kyo as they all ate their meals. Once done, Kyo spotted a single fur out in the middle of the ballroom, unlike the others who were dressed nicely for the accession, this wolf was wearing nothing but black pants. The human had to look more closely to see that it was Tags, the wolf bowed to the Alpha and king.

"Evening my lord and Alpha..." he started as he stood up before gesturing with an outstretched arm as he made a full circle. "As well as all honored guests that can make it to this special celebration between the two clans." He looked over to the Alpha and stood straight up. "It is my pleasure to be here to do the honor of selling tonight's slaves." At that moment the door flew open and a row of slaves marched in. Voices filled the room as furs started to talk about the different ones and which would they like.

Kyo shifted closer to Icewaver as he wrapped an arm around him, the wolf could tell that he didn't like this because at one point it was him at the time. Being taking away from home to be sold to some creature for life or till let go. The wolf bent down and licked the side of his pet's face. "Don't worry, it's going to go fast."

Soon the private auction started and one by one Tags sold of the humans to both cougars and wolves. Tags announced for the next slave, "Our next one is a female from a forest in the high mountains..." Kyo instantly looked up as his eyes widened. He saw the one person he hope that he could see again but in this position he hoped he hadn't.

Icewaver looked down and saw the horror on his pet's face as he slowly stood up,then his gaze went towards the human. "You know her?"

The one name slipped out of his mouth. "Alsea."

She was looking around the room scared as everyone was staring at her till Kyo came into her view. It took her a moment to recognize him and joy flooded through her when she did. "Kyo!" she screamed as she tried to run to him, but the collar she wore didn't give her much distance from Tags. "Please help," she yelled out. Everyone started to look at the human that she was referring too. Kyo looked down at the floor as he knew that there was not at thing that could be done.

"Kyo please," she said as tears started to fill her eyes. "Kyo, what's wrong."

"I can't," he said, loud enough that she could hear him but not yelling.

She was stunned. "Why..."she asked as she tried to get closer to the human but was yanked back. "Have you forgotten where you came from?" Kyo instantly looked up at her. She was now standing, looking at him with mad eyes. "I came looking for you and got caught, hoping that you'd be alright but look at you, instead of a warrior I thought you were, you've became some dog's bit-" she didn't finish as a wolf came up and punched her hard enough to knock her out cold. Kyo looked up as he saw the Alpha standing over her body.

"Get her out of my sights," he ordered. Two wolves came walking up and dragged her away. The Alpha looked over to Kyo with eyes of concern as the human was looking at the floor, tears rolling down his face. Galle walked up to Icewaver and Kyo. "Get your pet to bed," he said. Icewaver nodded as he turned his pet and walked him out of the room, eyes followed every step the two made until they were out of sight.

The two walked into the room and over to the bed. Kyo crying slowed down but a tear or two still rolled down his face. Icewaver got out of his cloths and ushered Kyo to get under the covers, not minding that he didn't get undressed as well. The wolf laid beside his pet as he held him close, he bent over and licked the side of his pet's face to help get the tears off. "Are going to be ok pup?"

Kyo just lay in the bed, not making any kind of movement. "Pup, listen to me. Don't worry about what she said. You're still a warrior in my eyes." he said in hopes to help cheer up his pup. Kyo just wrapped his arms around the wolf's torso, squeezing tightly. Icewaver tighten his grip around Kyo until the human's exhaustion took over and he slowly fell asleep.

Icewaver looked down at his human and leaned close. "I love you," he said quietly, kissing the top of the human's head.
