Loona's Love Life.

Chapter 10: Spring Time Confrontation.

June, 4, 2021

The day at the beach was going smoothly that was until it wasn't...

Alex looked out into the afternoon sun and smiled as he saw Moxxie, Millie, Loona, and Blitz all having fun playing in the ocean. He looked over to see Sophia sitting close by reading a book.

"So how'd your interview go?" He asked causing Sophia to look up and blush.

"Uh, it went well." she stated flipping through the pages of her monster encyclopedia, leaving Alex perplexed.

"So... what's the book about" He asked getting a good look at the title. His face went pale as she gave it a look over and giggles.

"Oh this? It's an encyclopedia of monsters, specifically those from hell, did you know that there are over 600 different kinds of demons, devils, and monster's that supposedly reside there?" She asked as Alex regained his composure and let out a nervous chuckle.

"You don't say?" He asked as he went back to looking out to sea. Sophia just giggled some more as she got up from her seat and sat down next to Alex, who let out a nervous grin as she got a little to close for comfort.

"Oh yes! It's fascinating! You remember what I said about shapeshifters a few weeks back?" Alex nodded.

"Yeah?" Sophia just pointed out to sea, towards the members of I.M.P. Alex followed her finger and then laughed.

"You can't be serious?" He asked as Sophia puffed out her cheeks in anger.

"Think about it!" She slammed her book shut and grabbed Alex's hands.

"You leave for the mall and don't come back for a few days, with some woman claiming to be your co-worker for a new job!" He was going to say something but she held up a hand.

"And to make matter's worse I can't find anything at all related to Inner Monetary Preparations or whatever the hell their cover name is supposed to be." Alex shook his head.

"Ok so let's say you were correct." He let out a sigh as he prayed for forgiveness.

"Then that means that my co-workers are not humans but shapeshifters that have me working at an office building doing what?" He proposed. Sophia just smirked as she gave Alex a once over, making him twinge in fear.

"Oh silly monster." She grabbed his hand once more and placed a small bag in it. When it just sat there not doing anything she looked puzzled. Alex just stared and then looked back at her.

"Ok?" He asked wondering what was supposed to be happening. She looked at the bag in disbelief and then swiped it back, looking around for the others. Alex followed her vision and saw that she was looking at his friends.

"Sophie what's in the bag?" He demanded, Sophia, noting a hint of fear in his voice. She giggled as she quickly got to her feet and ran off towards the members of I.M.P.

"Hey!" Alex yelled as he took off after her. Loona heard the commotion but not the specifics, glancing over she saw Sophia running at full speed towards her. She stopped dunking Moxxie under the seawater and hauled him to his feet, where he to saw the human sprinting towards them.

"Oh crumbs." He swore as he saw Alex gaining on her. Just as Sophia was about to reach them Alex jumped and tackled Sophia to the ground, the little sack bag in her hand flying through the air and landing on the sandy beach. Loona's nose went crazy as she detected the scent of potent magical energy wafting from the tiny object. Alex looked around and yelled at the members of I.M.P.

"Don't touch it!" The others obeyed as they all went over to Alex who was struggling to keep his grip on Sophia.

"Oh how convenient!" She snared at them all. "Just listen to the idiot who just tackled an innocent girl to the ground!" Alex who was straddling her waist got tired of her bullshit and covered her mouth with one hand while trying to keep her hands bound behind her back with his knees.

"Shut up!" He demanded, causing Sophia to stop her ranting and give him a look of shock.

"I am tired of not being able to just sit back and relax." He stated as he gave Sophia a look of genuine disgust.

"Listen to me well Sophia." He looked towards the little bag she had tried to hurl at his teammates.

"I don't know what hair brained scheme you've gotten stuck in your head, but it's ending right now." He looked over to the member's of I.M.P. and smiled, however, scowled as his gaze returned to his roommate.

"We aren't changelings and we aren't here to do anything nefarious!" He shouted at her.

"We are simply here to sit back and relax after a very stressful time at work." He let go of her mouth but only so he could grab a hold of her throat.

"I don't care how you try to justify this little stunt you tried to pull, but I am asking you if our friendship means anything to you at all, then please, leave my friends alone."

His eyes which were usually kind and caring now held only the promise of violence. He was serious. She thought back to when they had first met, a tear making its way down her cheek. She vigorously nodded and was rewarded with the ability to breathe once more. Alex got off of her and let her up giving her a scowl as he went to go pick up the hex bag.

He inspected it as he went over to a nearby couple who had a fire going. He smiled to them as he threw the bag into the flames, which briefly went from a bright red to a putrid purple and green hue. With that taken care of he walked back over to where Sophia had stayed rooted to the spot. He got down to her level and let out a sigh.

"Sophia tell me what is the issue? What have I obviously done to upset you?" He asked as Blitz, Moxxie, and Millie all decided to give them some privacy. Loona however didn't trust this witch at all, that was some powerful magic directed at not only herself and her family but one of her best friends as well. She walked off a ways to give the illusion of privacy, but she had her eyes and ears trained on them. If Sophia even so much as made to hug Alex she would be on her in an instant, low profile be damned. Sophia meanwhile was trying to compile her thoughts.

"I-I just-" She took a deep breath and looked Alex in the eye.

"I want my friend back." Tears streamed down her face, as she began to weep. Alex gave her a soft frown as he let out a breath.

"Sophia you haven't lost me." He said as held up her hand.

"We've hung out plenty of times in the past but for right now I have a job, a pretty demanding one, but a good one, and yeah I've made new friends." He thumbed back to the gang.

"And yes, I do see them more than I do you." He shook his head.

"I'm not going to lie and say that I haven't spent more time with them then I have with you the past month or so, but that's no reason to be so hostile towards them." He let out a sigh as he looked up into the sky and prayed that his next statement would go over well.

"Look, I know how it feels to be ignored and to feel ignored when you really need someone." He rubbed his head in guilt as he looked into Sophia's blue eyes.

"But you go about trying to get attention in all of the wrong ways." He held up his phone as an example.

"For one thing stalking me isn't helping our friendship." She winced at that but said nothing.

"For another attacking my friends with powerful magic doesn't help matter's either." He then looked off in thought.

"How did you even get that powerful at magic in the first place?" He then shook his head.

"Never mind, a topic for another time." At this Sophia giggled and Alex let out a small smile. He then got to his feet and helped Sophia up from the ground.

"Listen I can see how it may feel like your losing me as a friend but your not." He gave her a hug, Loona saw it coming, but just let out a small growl as she went back to pretending to pay attention to her phone a small smile adorning her face as Alex patched up the extremely rocky relationship between himself and his roommate.

"Hey listen, I uh need to go lay down for a little bit, ok?" Sophia said as Alex gave her a tight squeeze for reassurance. He then nodded and smiled as Sophia walked off down towards the van. Alex then let out a deep sigh as he walked back over to his co-workers.

"Well, we got ourselves a good old fashioned bleeding heart right here." Blitz said as Alex sat down and smiled.

"Yeah well, this bleeding heart needs a glass of alcohol and a nap." He said as he stretched out on his chair. Loona made her way over to his chair and gave him a smirk as he looked up at her.

"Can I help you?"

"Yeah, up." She commanded. Alex not really in the mood to argue did as he was told.

Not sure-" His sentence was cut off as Loona grabbed him by the waist and plopped him down on top of her as she sat back in his chair.

"Hey what gives?" He asked as Loona wrapped him in her tail.

"Easy, you need a nap and I need to dry off." Alex felt her wet fur through his shorts and on his exposed back and shivered.

"I thought you said you hated being wet?" He asked as Loona just smiled.

"I do, but luckily I have a nice towel right here to help dry me off." Se said tightening her grip on Alex's waist, leaving him very little choice in the matter, not that he'd choose to be anywhere else right now. His face began to heat up but he soon found himself drifting off to sleep, thanks to the sound of the ocean, the rhythm of Loona's heartbeat and the warmth of her tail and fur.

"You know, I could get used to this." He quipped as he closed his eyes. Loona just flushed as she felt a smile drift over her face, when she felt him drift off she sighed, looking up to heaven and scowling to herself.

"Yeah, me too." Blitz noted the sound of dejection in his daughter's voice and sighed as well. He then rubbed the back of his head as he opened his mouth to say something but his voice failed him. Meanwhile, Sophia was in the van listening in on Alex as she looked over her spellbook, trying to figure out why her hex bag didn't work and also wondering why he didn't want the other's to touch it.

"What else are you hiding?" she said as she scrolled through her notes on binding spells.

Later on that night...

6:13 P.M.

Alex awoke to hear the soft sounds of Loona breathing calmly, having fallen asleep sometime during her drying session. He carefully extracted himself from her grasp and looked around. Blitz was sitting nearby while Moxxie and Millie were nowhere to be found.

"Hey stud, have any fun dreams?" He asked giving Alex the old finger message. Alex just laughed as he shook his head.

"No Blitz my dreams were actually pretty tame all things considered." He stretched giving a satisfied grown as his back popped. Loona's ear twitched at the sound but she remained asleep. Alex meanwhile grabbed a beer and sat down next to Blitz who simply looked out into the sunset.

"You know if you find my daughter attractive you should just go for it." Alex spit out his beer and gave Blitz a look of pure confusion. Thinking about it, however, he just sighed.

"It not that I don't find her attractive, it's just that I'm me." He gestured to himself with a sense of self loathing.

"I mean, look at me, and then look at someone like Tex." He smirked as he thought about the buff hellhound.

"I'm not even in the same league." Blitz just blew a raspberry.

"So, look at Moxxie and Millie, Millie can kill anything in hell and earth, Moxxie is a little baby that needs a good spanking every once and a while." Alex gave a snort as he thought about his friend's more timid personality.

"Well he's still more of a killer than I am." He thought about it.

"Plus I am a Christian after all and that's bound to go down poorly with the denizens of hell." Blitz shrugged.

"Well if you remember you too are also a full fledged member of hell's society now as well, so if anyone has a beef with you over your religion then they are more than welcome to catch a bullet for it, courtesy of yours truly." Alex was puzzled.

"Since when did you care about my religion?" He smiled.

"I don't, but I do care about my employees." He then gave Alex a slap on the back.

"And I care more about my family, of which you know if you do manage to bag my daughter you will totally get the coolest dad in hell, just saying." Alex gave out a snort.

"Of that I have no doubt." His somber attitude came back, however.

"Look can I give it some thought?" He gave Blitz a look of concern.

"I don't want Loona to get in trouble just because I'm a human, I know how petty normal people can be, I can only imagine how it would be for the people of hell." Blitz nodded.

"Ok, But just so you know, we demons tend to take thing's a little faster than humans." He winked as they both heard Loona stir from her sleep. Just then Moxxie and Millie showed up, with Sophia in tow.

"Hey y'all, guess what!?" Millie asked as excited as ever. Everyone gave her their undivided attention, well almost everyone. Alex was still going over the previous conversation in his head.

"Hey earth to Alex, anyone home?" He was brought back to the present by Sophia snapping her fingers in front of his face.

"Hey, uh sorry, what's going on?" He asked as Millie was all too glad to repeat.

"There's a dance party going on later on tonight!" She said as she began to tremble with joy.

"Oh, uh ok, when are we going to head over there?" He asked as Millie pulled out a flier.

"It takes place at 8 pm and goes all through the night!" Blitz just smiled.

"Will there be alcohol?" Millie nodded.

"Sign me up! Let's go show those overpompous assholes what a real man can do!" Alex just chuckled as he shook his head.

"Well sure why not, can't dance for shit but I'll give it my best." Loona walked over and grabbed the flier giving it a once over shrugging as she handed it back to Millie.

"Eh, sure why not. Not like I've got anything better to do." She went and began to pack up their little picnic while Sophia asked to see the flier.

"Yeah it looks like fun." She smiled as Millie tentatively took the paper back, the little incident from before still fresh in her mind, her eyes narrowed as she put the paper away.

"Listen, I'm only tolerating you, because of Alex, but if you try and pull off a stunt like what you did earlier again, I will fuck you up! You understand?" Sophia just nodded as she put on a nervous smile. Loona in the meantime went and gave Millie a fist bump as she walked past with the beach gear.

"Let me just put this away and we can head on over there." After she got back Moxxie and Millie lead the way to a small deck area overlooking the beach reminded Alex of a boardwalk, but with more of a patio design to it.

"Sweet!" Blitz yelled looking around. "Now where's the booze!?" He asked rushing towards a small tiki booth that sold alcohol. Alex laughed and went over to the bar as well. As he did so he looked back to see Moxxie and Millie taking with some average joes. He smiled as they all walked over and began to mingle, it was really nice seeing them interact with humans in a way that wouldn't result in death. Loona meanwhile made her way over to the bar as well, taking a seat next to Alex ordered a strawberry daiquiri.

"Mind if I have a taste?" Loona asked grabbing a straw. Alex let her have a taste, which ended with her licking her lips.

"Hm, not bad, you can barely taste the alcohol, but the strawberry flavor isn't that bad." She said as Alex took a sip of his own. Moxxie and Millie soon joined the trio afterward, with Sophia bringing up the rear, all six adults now seated at the bar, relaxing. A wolf whistle cut through their little reprieve and all six of them turned to see a group of four men making their way over to the bar. Blitz rolled his eyes and reached into his coat pocket, but a hand from Loona stopped him. She nodded over to Alex who had his eye's on them, a smile still on his face. One of them a rugged looking businessman walked over and undid his jacket.

"Hey Larry, I'll have the usual," He then looked over towards Loona and smirked.

"And what about you miss?" Loona just flipped him off, not taking her eyes off the straw she had in her mouth as she took another sip of Alex's drink. Not getting the hint the man simply chuckled as he turned Loona's seat around she was facing him.

"Hey buddy, there's no need to be rude." Alex said getting up from his chair and taking the man's hand off of Loon's chair.

"Oh really, and what are you going to do about it piss ant?" It was then that Blitz spoke up.

"Hey nobody gets to call him piss ant but me." He said getting out of his chair as the other three dudes came over to the bar. The man chuckled again as he reached for Loona's shoulder.

"Come on babe, how about you and me go somewhere more private, hm?" Loona smiled as she took his hand and began to grip it with her supernatural strength, the man let out an ear piercing scream as he sank to his knees in pain.

"Jesus Christ love, there's no need to get your panties in a twist." Loona just laughed.

"Who say's I'm wearing any?" She said leaning down towards the kneeling man's face. Alex was not spared the view as Loona's tail parted her skirt down the middle. He instantly shot his head in the other direction and gave a cough as Loona let the man go and smirked.

"Now I suggest you leave before I get really angry." she said as the man cradled his injured hand. He got to his feet and made to leave but stopped as he reached the edge of the dance floor.

"You have no idea who I am do you?" He asked as his four lackeys all followed him. The group all gave him a look of utter contempt.

"Don't know, don't care," Said Loona as she gave him the bird once more. The man just gave them all a smug grin.

"Oh, that'll be the last mistake you, bitch, promise you that much." He then left without saying another word. Everyone watched him go and scowled as he did so.

"Should we be worried about him?" Alex asked as Blitz just waved it off.

"Nah, lemme go make a phone call real quick." He got up from his seat and pulled out a fat stack of cash and his phone.

"You didn't see or hear anything he handed the huge wad of bills to the bar keep, who looked around and then pocketed the money.

"You and your family were here all night sir." The barkeep said as Blitz went off to make his phone call. Alex looked off towards where the man had left and shook his head.

"He should really know better than to threaten a random stranger out of the blue like that." Alex sat back down and was surprised when Loona gave him a pat on the back.

"Thanks, for sticking up for me back there." She said as she continued to drink his Daiquiri. Alex just smiled as he put his straw back into his drink and sucked down as much as he could before Loona could finish it all, the two having an impromptu contest to see who could suck more of the sweet alcoholic beverage up first.
