The Prediction

###

June Twelfth, Toby's twenty second birthday.

Asleep, Alex was lying in bed on her side with her arms wrapped around Toby and he was cuddling her back. The chest she felt in her dream was his chest, the paws she felt in her dream was his paws, and the hard on rubbing against her? It was his as well but he couldn't really tell for he was just as asleep as she was. Unlike her his dream had absolutely no romance in it and it had no rhyme or reason on what it was about. In a nut shell Toby's dream was not making any sense. And while the two slept in the Cerulean back in Kirathain the man Alex had kissed in her dreams was in the real world searching for her after visiting the magistrate's office. The news he had acquired was news he disdained; that Blue furred bastard of a mercenary freed Toby and the Red Fox must have told Alexandra the entire thing was a trap.

Alexander had knocked on the door of Alexandra's house and waited for about five minutes before he finally turned his gaze to the psychic. Her name was Lily, the grim teller. A lot of people truly believed she was a psychic and those that didn't believed she her self cursed them to die that way. And that girl must have had some dark power to keep her alive this long, she was old and during her entire existence a lot of people wanted to burn her. Amazing that it never actually happened.

Alexander walked up to her. He was going to ask her a few questions; and unlike the morons before him he was going to ensure the questions had no loopholes in which she could kill him painfully or slowly.

'Good afternoon young man, you look quite strapping.' The Vixen greeted.

'You're welcome, miss Lily. I have a lot of questions to ask you and I'll pay you enough to get a nice mansion if you let me ask all that I can.'

'Asking where other individuals are and how they'll die is different price then money, Alexander.'

God damn, she actually was psychic. Alexander thought and she smiled back at him. He saw no kindness in her, all he saw was age, death, and deception.

'I'll tell you the price after you ask the questions.'

'Is the price burning in hell for eternity or selling my soul?'

The vixen shook her head. 'The price can be acquired. However, if you can't pay it before you die then I guarantee you'll regret this entire deal. Do you still wish to ask those questions?'

Alexander put thought into his proposal. He was rich and she said the price could be acquired; if it was something like someone else's body parts, or organs he could easily acquire it; he could acquire anything. Finally he nodded and his first question was to be asked.

'Where's Alex?'

'Alex is on a ship named the Cerulean which is on its way to the frozen wastes - the price for this question is just a bit of gold.'

'How will Reliath die?'

Now the Vixen was intrigued; Alexander seemed like such a nice person so she found it interesting that he hated Reliath so much just because he released Toby.

'You'll have your wish come true. Reliath will try and dodge an upwards slash from a white Fox and he'll fail miserably. The slash will slice his chest open and his organs will fall to the ground.'

'I guess I have a better right arm then everyone thinks!'

'Who said the white Fox was you?' There was silence then Alexander continued once more.

'And how will Toby die?'

'As Toby's running away in fear he'll have an arrow pierce him in the back of his head.'

Alexander was pleased from hearing this. And there was one more question he had to ask . . . one which he was quite afraid to.

'Will Alexandra die in the frozen wastes?' The Vixen then looked at him with her black eyes.

'Yes, Reliath will kill her. That is, unless you help her.' Alexander's ears perked up and Lily continued once she saw his growing interest.

'She's a pretty tough girl, but you'd be surprised how loud she can scream.' Before Alexander could speak Lily interrupted him.

'You have asked me three questions so you will have to personally sacrifice three people. It's best you get moving and find that Vixen before she's murdered.'

'Just randomly make three sacrifices? That makes no sense. How will it benefit you at all if I murder three people?'

'I'll give you an answer if I can bump that up to four people.'

And just like that Alexander thanked her, paid her, and made his way back home. He was certainly smart. When Lily had answered his questions she had foreseen that if he couldn't acquire the payment then he would try and kill her to break the curse. And that would actually work too; any fortunes or futures read . . . for them to actually come true was dependent on her own survival. How lucky for her that Alexander was also naive. Alexandra wasn't really in any form of danger; not in the northern wastes anyway. The only reason she had told him that Alexandra was going to die up there was to get him far away from her; there was no way she was going to be killed by some stuck up noble.

** ** ** ** **

Back in the Cerulean Toby had just woken up and he continued holding on to Alex as he felt her warm body against his. For a time longer then he probably should have he tried to ignore his member which was against her and he tried to go back to sleep but he couldn't. For about an hour he managed to both ignore the morning and lie in bed with Alex but eventually the thought came to his mind that if she woke up the situation would be incredibly awkward. It wasn't his plan to have a boner pressing against her private area and it wasn't because of his boner that he was holding on to her. He just woke up that way and he hated it.

It felt great to have warm paws holding him and it felt great for him to be holding her warm body. He wouldn't mind doing nothing more then this for another hour or two but he knew if Alex woke up the situation would get awkward. She probably wouldn't lash out at him but it would still be embarrassing.

Dicks, why did god make them so troublesome?

With a great amount of will power Toby removed his paws from her, removed her paws from him, and separated himself a bit from Alex to try and get it down. Why did he even wake up like this sometimes? There wasn't anything sexual in his dream. Happy birthday Toby, he thought to himself. Maybe Alex would give him just a tiny kiss on the cheek or something.

After some time Toby finally got off the bed and he made his ways through the corridors of the ship, when he reached the staircase he saw Reliath sitting on one of the steps.

'Happy Birthday Toby.' Reliath greeted giving Toby a rather cute smile.

'Uh . . . thanks Reliath. How did you know it was my birthday?'

'I just have a way of knowing these things.'

'Alex told you, didn't she?' Toby asked and Reliath nodded. As Toby began walking up the steps Reliath stood up and got to the side.

'Were you waiting all morning for me just to say that?'

'Actually, I was.' Toby walked past Reliath and once he reached the top of the stair case he noticed that the skies were cloudy and gray, hopefully there wasn't going to be a dangerous storm.

'According to the Captain we should be visiting a port by night. naybe I'll get you a birthday drink.' Reliath informed as he followed Toby up the stairs.

Naybe?

'You're being awfully kind today, you must really be anxious to see that port.'

'I an!' Reliath replied. 'I love checking out new places, tasting there food, drinking there liquor. . .'

And meeting there guys Reliath thought.

Instead of going to the side like he usually did Toby sat down against the ships mast and Reliath sat down beside him. Why was he being so clingy today?

'Doing nothing all day nust get boring after awhile.'

'It does.' Toby replied as he now took notice that Reliath couldn't even pronounce the dreadful M letter he hated anymore.

'. . . Would you like to come down to I's bed so we could talk for a bit?'

Toby looked at Reliath questioningly. He truly did seem to be in a far better mood then usual. Well; it was a windy day with lots of clouds so maybe staying in the ships hull was for the better.

'I guess we could talk for a bit.' Reliath got up and offered Toby his paw, Toby accepted Reliaths help and they made their way back to where they came from. It was when Toby reached a bed with a hide, a sack, a chest, and a bottle of liquor that he found out why Reliath was in such a fine mood; he was drunk, And if he wasn't drunk he was at least buzzed. Reliath climbed up his bed and leaned against the wall and Toby did the same not wanting to sit in the middle of what once belonged to a living breathing being.

'How much did you drink anyway? . . . and why, are you celebrating my birthday early?' Toby expected a drunken laugh to follow.

'Just a bit; I'na not getting drunk until we reach that port.' Reliath replied as he picked up the bottle of liquor soon to have another taste. Toby was doubtful about that, and a bit worried on why Reliath he was drinking so spontaneous and early.

'And don't worry; there'll be a celebration at the port.' Reliath said as he wrapped his left arm around the back of Toby's neck and drank with his right arm.

'Is something wrong Reliath?' Toby asked. Maybe the guy was just starting things off a bit early but Toby didn't think it was in Reliath's personality to get him self hammered with liquor in the morning. Reliath looked at Toby for a second.

'A slight problen but nothing a bit of alcohol can't fix.' Toby opened his mouth to speak but very quickly Reliath interrupted.

'And no, I won't be telling you what the problem is.'

Toby decided to change topics. 'Is there anything you would like to talk about then?'

'Yes. Actually there are a lot of things I would like to talk about, Toby.'

'I'll talk to you about anything, if you put that bottle down.'

Reliath sighed and passed the bottle to Toby and he placed it on the floor.

'So, you said anything, right?' Reliath asked.

'Yes, anything.' Toby replied hopeful that Reliath wouldn't ask any questions about him and Alex.

'Have you ever done anything with the sane sex?'

'Of course I did things with the same sex. As a kid most of my friends were g-'

'Sexual! I nean sexual things!!'

'Why would you want to know something like that?'

Cute, he did do things with guys after all!

'I was just wondering.' Reliath replied. In truth he had asked due to the psychic saying he'd end up sleeping with Toby in July. And yes, Reliath was looking forward to that day.

'It was my friends idea and we were just experimenting.'

This was completely true. Looking back at his bitter youth Toby had gained an almost romantic view of his childhood. He was still poor, he still lost important people, but despite that everything back then seemed absolutely perfect. At a time when Korin was the new leader of Kirathain and Alex wasn't even known Toby was fourteen years old and still not adapted to the changes his body under went. Back then he still had quite a few of his friends alive too; Arthur, a red Fox, wasn't sent out to war, Cody, another red Fox, hadn't died of a disease, And Saithe the Husky wasn't hanged.

Back when the Husky was still alive he and Toby explored the lush forests west of the city very often. 'Would you like to try something new?' The Husky had once asked when they were deep in the forest and it was around then that Toby first learned the benefits that came with the changes in his body. Emotionally and physically Toby knew he preferred Women. Alex felt better and he had feelings for her that he could never have for anyone else - especially men. Of course though that wasn't to say Toby didn't enjoy the Husky. He had amazingly soft paws, ones which were softer then Alex's and unlike Alex he had a pretty nice scent; which was expected since she always smelled like smoke.

It was a shame Saithe had died at such a young age, he deserved better. He was generally a good kid and he was the type of person who shared what very little they had; he shouldn't have died at sixteen.

'Really?'

'Can we talk about something else?'

'I guess. Would you like to experinent with I?'

Toby chuckled at the word experinent before realizing what Reliath just asked then he gave the blue Fox a queer look.

'Are you . . . gay?'

Often times Reliath hated answering this question with a passion but the liquor had a certain magic to it.

'I self said you were cute, didn't I?'Toby was about to speak but very randomly Reliath continued.

'What? There's no way you're straight. Hide it all you want but I know you're at least a bi . . . and did I ever tell you that you have a nice ass?

'Um . . . no' Toby blushed. God was this getting awkward, as awkward as the situation was though Toby was hoping for more compliments; it wasn't too often he was ever praised for anything. Reliath however had just remembered his question never received an answer.

'So would you experinent with I?'

'Can you ask again later when the liquor wears off?' Toby just hoped to god this would hold the Blue Fox off for awhile.

'I's not drunk, honest!'

And then suddenly the sound of footsteps drawing towards them was heard. Dear god, hopefully no one heard their conversation. The foot steps stopped completely and Arguln shot Reliath a dangerous glare.

Oh fucking hell, someone did hear their conversation . . . and why, why did that someone have to be the most pissed off strongest guy on the ship?

'He's drunk and he has no clue what he's saying.' Toby said fearfully as he glanced at the Doberman. The guy was tall, well built, and his glare looked intimidating.

'I spent an hour looking for your 'friend' because the captain wants him,' Argulns eyes then turned to Reliath.

'No questions asked, you're coming with me. If the Fox gets up before we're on the ship deck we'll see how far he swims with two broken legs.'

Reliath got up and followed Arguln and during the entire trip he was privileged with seeing the Dobermans ass. Speaking of which, wasn't today the day he was supposed to end up screwing the guy?

When they reached the ship deck Reliath could instantly tell that the winds had picked up and that they were only going to get worse over time. Arguln knocked on the door to the captain's quarters about three times and Kaida, the small Margay Reliath spoke to last night had answered the door and held it open for Reliath.

'Well? Just enter the damn room already!' Arguln shouted and Reliath did as he was told. Kaida closed the door behind him and went over to his desk and leaning against the wall was his brother Haida drinking liquor. Now why was it they were always together?

'Good morning, Reliath.' Hauvin greeted.

'Good norning, Captain Ocelot.' Hauvin gave him an odd look and Reliath continued.

'I's just having troubles pronouncing the M letters today. That's all.' Reliath said as composed as he possibly could.

'Let me get straight to the point. The weather's getting bad and you and your Foxes could be a help.'

'How about I pay you an additional fee so I don't have to do anything?'

'The cap'n will just kill you in your sleep and take your money!' Haida stated and returned back to his drink.

'The lad's right, what's stopping me from slitting your throat and taking everything you have?'

'How about this; I'm getting an artifact for a certain client and he's paying me far more then it's worth; you'll get 24% of what I'm getting.'

'You strike a good deal, but what stops us from taking the artifact from you?'

'You don't know who I's client is and you'll probably get ripped off.'

'I guess it's a deal then. We get 24% and we don't kill you. You may leave.' And so Reliath left the room and went back downstairs to find Toby who was waiting for him on his bed, what continued was random conversation after random conversation.

** ** ** ** **

Despite his birthday taking place mainly on a boat Toby was having a pretty good day. It felt great to talk to someone for once while the sun was up and Reliath was even kind enough to let him read one of his books. Of course a lot of them were too complex for Toby but thankfully he found a book he could read. Alex was the one to thank for him being able to read at all.

All in all it was a pretty good day for Toby and once the seas of sapphire turned black to compliment the dark starry sky the Cerulean had reached the port and Toby's good day became better. Asaurne Port was the name of the place they stopped at and the sailors wasted no time to visit and explore the place and its women. Alex was already making her way to the bar with a lot of the crew while Toby was still downstairs trying to decide what he should do.

The first thing on his mind was joining Alex in the bar and having a few drinks with her but then very quickly Toby remembered what kind of people were in the bars she visited. Toby also couldn't help but wonder where Reliath was just as a he saw two blue and white paws step on the wooden floor in front of him. Reliath didn't wear shoes?

'Good evening Toby, I was worried you left the ship.'

'I was just about to.' Toby lied. And why was Reliath so interested in him suddenly? Did the guy have a crush on him?

'It's your birthday. How would you like I to bring you to some place fancy?'

Some place fancy?

'Well . . .' Toby always dreamed of bringing Alex to one of those places. In his minds eye he saw him and Reliath sitting down at a well designed table in an extravagantly priced place and slowly Reliath reached his paw out for Toby's while they dreamily stared at each others eyes.

Gross. And that was probably what Reliath wanted too.

'Reliath, it's really kind of you but. . .' Could this get anymore awkward?

'But . . .?'

'I don't . . . um . . . think of you that way?' Reliath just looked at him confused.

'What are you going on about?' Reliath asked.

'You mean you don't like me?'

'No, I just thought maybe you'd like some incredibly expensive overpriced food for a birthday gift.' Which wasn't a lie, he wanted to screw Toby but he still didn't love him.

'Well . . . I guess I wouldn't mind if you're willing.'

'Good.' Reliath leaned forward and gave Toby a peck on the forehead.

'I thought you said you didn't like me?'

'Just an early gift, come with me and I'll get you something to change into.' Toby got up and followed Reliath.

'Something to change into?'

'Where we're going they'd sooner die then let someone come in with rags.' They reached Reliath's bed and the Blue Fox dug through his sack throwing a few hides on the bed. Wolf hide, Jackal hide, Panther hide, Red Fox hi-

'You killed a Fox?' Toby asked quite repulsed from the horrific view.

'I am a Fox, Toby. Besides, the guy betrayed I self first; used to call him patch because he had only one eye and wore a cute eye patch . . . besides, why hadn't you cared for any of the other individuals I skinned? Why was it only a Red Fox that disgusted you?' Reliath spoke while he continued digging.

Doberman hide, thank god Arguln wasn't around to see that.

'That wasn't a Fox from Kirathain, was it?'

'I don't know, I never asked him where he was from.'

Blue Fox hide. Toby's attention completely turned to the hide which very much resembled Reliaths.

'Who was that?' Toby asked automatically. He knew this might have been something Reliath never wanted to share but regardless he couldn't control it.

'Just another traitor.' Reliath replied as he took out a shirt and a decent pair of pants and passed them to Toby.

'Where do I change into these?'

'We're on a boat, Toby. We're both guys so you don't have to be shy.'

Toby undid his belt buckle and he looked up at Reliath. 'You mind turning around?' Damn it, so close. Reliath turned around and as the sound of Toby's pants dropping to the floor was heard desperately Reliath tried to look for an object which he could see what was going on behind him. It was around that time Reliath thought up a good excuse, Sorry Toby, but I have to keep an eye on you to make sure you don't try and kill I. Damn it, damn it, damn it! That would have worked! Why the didn't he think of that five seconds ago?!

Toby took off his shirt and threw it on the bed in front of Reliath. Now his mind was working overtime in thinking up excuses or ways he could check the Fox out.

'How long were you wearing that shirt anyway?'

'You don't want to know.' Reliath could hear Toby slide his underwear down his legs and very shortly after wards the sound of the fabric falling to the floor was heard. Now Toby was completely naked and Reliath couldn't even have single look at the Foxes chest, legs, abs or his balls.

Toby threw his underwear on the bed and Reliath was even more tempted to turn around.

'You really wear that thing all day?' Reliath asked as he turned his head seeming as innocent as he could. The truth was he actually saw the peculiar garments once or twice before. And Reliath had to say he was impressed at just how good Toby looked for someone that was dirt poor. The guy looked far better naked then he did with those disgusting rags. To Reliath Toby had just the right amount of muscle, which wasn't much and he was the perfect weight, which wasn't much and of course Reliath noticed the Foxes sheathe with his member tucked inside.

'Yes, I fi- Hey! What are you doing look at me!?'

Reliath went back to staring at the wall smiling as he did. 'Sorry, Toby, it was an accident.'

Toby picked up the clothes Reliath had gotten for him. Wow, besides the fabric looking attractive it was also very soft. Toby then saw the weirdest looking underwear he ever saw. 'What the hell is this thing?' He continued staring at the foreign object.

'I'm sorry; I can't tell you because you won't let me turn around.'

'Turn around, but no looking below the belt.' Of course Reliath still noticed Toby's sheathe and of course that was still the only reason he turned around. Despite that though he had his attention set on the underwear Toby was holding up.

'Is this what nobles wear?'

'No, Toby. I used to be a part of a tribe. That's what I wore and it's what I still wear. I made it my self.'

'You're really skilled at this kind of thing aren't you?' Toby finally put the underwear on. Given that he was actually wearing something - though not much - he didn't mind Reliath too much. Toby didn't like these undergarments too much.

'From where I'm from everyone learned those things.' Toby put on the pair of pants as well. Reliath wasn't too bothered that his little show was almost over, if everything went well he was going to give Toby a good night. Sure, the guy was straight and sure, the psychic said he was going to end up with Arguln but it was worth a shot. From personal experience Reliath had understood the difference between whether someone liked men or not was dependent on whether they had a little to drink or too much.

Toby put on his shirt and finally the two of them were ready to go. Toby followed Reliath and it wouldn't be too long before they were both in the port walking through the streets.

** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** **

This chapter was getting kind of long so I'm afraid I had to cut it short. In the next chapter we'll find out whether or not Reliath's master ploy works. Oh right, the other chapter is finished but it won't be posted right away; I'll probably have it up in two to three hours.
