Kerage and Tesarasa 3
Tesarasa and Kerage face a villianous trap, but even if they can beat it, there's an even more insidious trap awaiting our hero.

The river that runs by the road feeds into the bay that Suncaster is known for. As both a town of mercantile boon and delights for the vacationing noble, its prosperity was heightened by the significant diversion of the river by way of an impressive dam out in the wilderness.
It is the very dam whose timbers now roll through roiling waves of mud, rain, and river that cascades across the dried plains of the once riverbed that Kerage and Tesarasa now stand upon.
Their companions bustle around for supplies up on the edge of the ravine, seeking their ten-foot-poles and their rolls of rope, but the knight knows that it will not be fast enough. So, he wraps his arm around the younger woman, and he pulls her into the carriage, shutting the door tightly behind him.
The wave hits them, freeing the carriage from its spot and sending it rolling and tumbling through the dead, now living, river. They a caught bouncing and rolling, banging and clanging, cloak and armor smacking against one another in a buffeting expulsion of power from nature.
The carriage rolls and rolls, soon stopping and landing upon its busted wheels at an angle that shows it shall never ride again.
Tesarasa coughs, pushing herself up from underneath Kerage, and opens the door, letting the residual water pour out from within.
Kerage groans and picks himself up, rubbing his forehead where her elbow struck him in their crashing. He sloshes in his suit, groaning and stumbling off to the shore. "Ah… you… alright, Tesa?"
Tesarasa lowers her hood, shaking off the drenched locks tied in intricate knots. "I'm… surprised you survived that, Kerage."
"Huh?"
"Oh, I mean, I'm surprised we both made it out. Forgive me." She turns a bit, her cloak clinging to her body. Behind her, a line of crimson energy runs in the shape of a rectangle, soon forming into a solid wooden door. "We should take the chance to rest, don't you think? And come out once the rain has well and truly stopped."
The rumbling of thunder brings Kerage back to his senses, and he finally realizes the patter of rain upon his face and his armor. "Right," he says. "There's no need to try to fight the current, and we'll regroup with the others in time." He points towards the door. "You know the casting of Eliamaros's Esteemed Estate?"
Tesarasa smirks, flicking her head. The door clicks and opens inwards towards a brightly-lit foyer, which she steps into. "It's more a spell of my own making, and I'm working on the name."
Kerage steps in behind her, sighing as he feels warmth and stillness touch his skin. He closes his eyes and just basks in comfort. "Well, you need to go with the alliteration. That's how these sanctum spells go, isn't it?"
"I suppose you're right," Tesarasa says, her footwear clicking upon the floor. Her dainty feet in those open-toed heels did not serve very well for a long hiking trip, but since she rode upon a horse, the knight wasn't too worried about her safety. There are, of course, more important things to be concerned about."
"We should check for any medical concerns and then make sure we're warm with dry clothes. Some injuries can be quite serious." With that, he begins to unbuckle himself.
Tesarasa turns to face him, her diamond eyes half-lidded in apparent disconcern, perhaps even boredom.
The door clicks behind him, shut from the outside world and the elements. Kerage undoes his traveler's armor, placing the breastplate upon the ground before removing the leggings. "Please, are you injured, Tesa? That cloak of yours is soaked, and you'll catch your death of cold."
Kerage pulls his shirt up over his head, shaking off the cold water and looking down over himself. Aside from some minor bruisings, he doesn't seem to have any injuries, thank goodness.
A moment passes, and he hears the flop of wet fabric upon the ground. "Tesa, if you need me to help check you, I'd be… happy… to…."
His words slide out of his mouth but lose coherency. The sight he sees before him is not what he had expected from the girl of 19 years.
Her skin is sun-kissed, and not just upon her face. Kerage need not imagine it, for the outfit she wears exposes before him more than he would ever deem proper if it could be called that. Her clothing consists of coils of glimmering armor along her arms and legs, ending at her feet and hands. What he took for shoes is, in fact, part of the entire ensemble. The coils go up to her neck, ending in a choker. They suggest diamonds over her body, covering as little as possible as they go down along her body. This also includes the perfect placement to accent her small breasts, propping them up and keeping her nipples very much exposed. Equally exposed is her navel, and as Kerage's eyes move down along her body, he notices that the immodest outfit also shows her womanhood.
Indeed, standing before her is a girl, no woman, proud of her body.
His face burns as he looks to her, his eyes shooting back up towards her own.
That look that she holds onto him. It is filled with such disdain. She's shorter, yet he feels as though she looks down upon him.
With a flick of her wrist, something shoots up over his body, a cloth slithering up from beneath of him and wrapping around his mouth, yanking him backward like a harness.
Kerage grunts, fighting to claw at it, but the pull strains his back, forcing him to fall to his knees just to have some sort of relief.
"So, this is the kingdom's great hero, Kerage…" her voice is the same. Yet, it is filled with confidence and a sultriness he would not expect from the woman of the younger generation. "Just another old man who sees me as nothing but a child, just like that pathetic elf mage."
