The remaining members, Nocturne, Unnerve, Gabu, Vern, SnipeS, and Kain continued upwards towards the next floor, leaving behind the other members to deal with the chiefs who had tried to block their path.

As they got up on the next floor, they stopped at a door as Nocturne turned back towards Unnerve, knowing what they were about to face. No doubt all of the chiefs have agreed to try to stop them as soon as they arrived, and that would include Chief Kai.

"Are you ready to face him?" Nocturne asked Unnerve.

"I'm more than ready, don't underestimate my willpower to overcome him" Unnerve grunted.

"I have some doubts, I do feel nervous seeing the number one chief before you try to stop us" Gabu voiced his concern.

"Heh, aren't you forgetting there's three of us and only one of him? I doubt he can best three dragons at the same time. Plus you've been trained by him, Unnerve, you're certain to be a match for him. We have the edge here" Vern pep talked everyone.

"Grr... I don't need you telling me that, but I agree, we can handle him" Unnerve nodded.

Nocturne smiled before they finally opened the door to the next floor.

In the middle of the room, as expected, was Chief Kai standing in the center, with a smug smile and arms crossed while tapping his foot.

"Finally, my protege comes to visit me after all these years. I didn't think you'd side with a criminal Unnerve, how disappointing" Chief Kai mockingly said to Unnerve.

"You taught me nothing but despair and misery, and you don't even know what it means to uphold the law!" Unnerve yelled at him.

"The law is to put criminals in jail, and even though I'm retired, I'm more than happy to throw my own recruit into the klink" Chief Kai said while smirking.

Chief Kai then turned his attention towards Gabu.

"And you chose a wimpy looking dragon to be your second in command, how pathetic" Chief Kai said as he chose to mock Gabu next, causing Gabu to feel insulted.

"I'm strong and fast for your information you old geezer! I can easily take you down myself!" Gabu spouted back at him.

"You're way out of your league to face someone of my stature kid" Chief Kai chuckled at Gabu, not taking him seriously.

"The three of us can easily take you down" Vern stepped in.

Kai tilted his head while he stared at Vern, before realizing who he was.

"You must be the disgraced cadet who abandoned his duties and decided a life of crime would be better. What a shame, and you were making so much progress. Now I wonder if I still would have picked Unnerve if you hadn't left" Chief Kai stared at Vern up and down, as if examining how strong he really was.

"After my meeting with you and the other chiefs, I saw that the justice you defend isn't even true. You'd have only brought cruelty and injustice while Nocturne and Unnerve will bring in a better era than this" Vern told Kai.

"And I have a team, even if it means working with others that have questionable pasts, I will conquer you and prove to you that you are wrong!" Unnerve finished.

Kai then raised a claw at the three dragons, pointing to each one of them, putting Unnerve last.

"Then come at me" Kai dared them.

Unnerve turned towards Nocturne, SnipeS, and Kain.

"You three, you go on ahead. Don't let this geezer slow you down" Unnerve told Nocturne and the others.

Nocturne saw a determined haxorus in Unnerve's eyes, and nodded before turning towards SnipeS and Kain, who nodded in return.

"Heh, I won't stop those three. You know why? Because Governor Jalorda is heavily protected by someone that your blue friend there is all familiar with" Chief Kai said egotistically.

"I have a feeling I know who that is... But I know him better than anyone else" SnipeS muttered.

"And my job is to teach my protege another lesson, and since there are two other dragons here, I think I'll be teaching them what it REALLY means to be a dragon" Chief Kai licked his chops before pointing at the door behind him.

Nocturne looked at Unnerve, before hugging him tightly and giving him a kiss for a moment, before the three left and ran past Kai towards the door.

"You've stooped lower for getting into an intimate relationship with the Illusionist, the one that messed up your career to begin with" Kai added to the list of insults against Unnerve.

"Don't disrespect Nocturne! And he knows about myself more than you ever did Kai! Nocturne changed my life for the better and now it's my job to prove that!" Unnerve stomped the ground with his foot.

"And I'm determined to show the old chief that the cadet he once knew is different now" Vern added, standing beside Unnerve.

"And I will always stand by Vern and Unnerve's side, and show you that your way of thinking is wrong" Gabu said as he stood beside Unnerve as well.

"Hehehe... But if you lose... I don't think that all three of your bravados will do you any good" Kai laughed before bringing out 3 collars, just for them.

The three dragons hesitated for a moment, but remained composed.

"When I'm done beating the shit out of the three of you, I can't wait to place these collars on your necks, starting with you Unnerve. And I will ensure that you never disobey an order ever again" Kai said as he jingled the collars.

Enraged by this proclamation, Unnerve charged at Kai, dragon claws at the ready, with Vern and Gabu following suit.

As Unnerve got closer towards him, Kai stashed the collars and readied his claws to parry.

The remaining pokemorphs continued up the stairs, knowing there was still more obstacles to go, including Governor Jalorda.

"Are you ready to face Inferno?" Nocturne asked SnipeS as they ran upstairs.

"I'm ready, you can trust Kain and I to handle Inferno" SnipeS nodded and agreed.

"I may not know what they have in store, but I have my complete trust in you and Kain. Having you two as allies is one of my greatest accomplishments, next to bringing Unnerve as my partner" Nocturne said as they ran up.

"I know that the world that you promised is the world that SnipeS and I want to share with each other, so you have my full support" Kain encouraged Nocturne.

"Despite the initial animosity I had towards you, I'm glad I was captured" SnipeS joined Kain.

Nocturne shed a small tear in response, but remained headstrong as the trio made it to the final floor.

They approached the door as Nocturne gripped both handle bars before looking at SnipeS and Kain, who both had their sniper and phone at the ready.

Nocturne took a deep breath before opening the door to reveal the final room they had to step in and finish everything.

Inside the room, they saw Governor Jalorda who began idly clapping as he sat on his desk. Beside Governor Jalorda were Inferno and Sleuth, flanking him on both sides as his personal bodyguards.

"Congratulations on getting this far, but this is as far as you'll go. The only place the three of you will be going is an early grave, prison, or maybe I should enslave you with the collars we made" Governor Jalorda mockingly congratulated them.

"You're wrong for what you will do to the citizens that look up to you. I never intended to try to force your policies out of the way, but you leave me no choice governor" Nocturne told Jalorda.

"This is the perfect world I envisioned, free of criminals like you and any deviant influences that you seemed to have spread. Although I don't mind indulging in it, it disgusts me how others roam around freely, and even showing off how... Free, that they actually are. It makes those that have no freedom jealous and bitter, that's why I will enforce my policy on everyone if I have to. Even if it means taking away the happiness of those who have it" Jalorda chuckled evilly.

"This is completely uncalled for, nobody should be oppressed by laws that you plan on implementing without their consent" Nocturne tried to reason with Jalorda.

Jalorda said nothing and just dismissively waved a paw at Inferno and Sleuth, which the two nodded at and jumped over the desk, ready to battle them if need be.

Nocturne was a bit shaken, knowing that these two were allied with them just yesterday.

Before Nocturne can say anything, SnipeS and Kain stepped forward, and looked back at Nocturne.

"This is my fight with the number one hero" SnipeS told Nocturne.

"You should save your energy for Governor Jalorda" Kain told Nocturne.

SnipeS then looked at his former friend, Inferno.

"I never thought I'd be fighting the number one hero" SnipeS muttered.

"You can no longer call yourself a hero, not after defending a villain" Inferno sighed.

"I'm defending what is justice in my eyes, and even with the difference of power between us, I will still win this fight" SnipeS responded.

"We should not be fighting, we should talk about it" Sleuth stepped in, but was stopped by Inferno.

"There is no more talking that can be done, SnipeS has already chosen his path" Inferno warned Sleuth.

"I will stand by SnipeS' side no matter what, and if he has to go to jail, then so be it" Kain stepped in as well.

"My... How brave of you to step up for what you both believe in. Let's celebrate it by having the both of you fulfill those conditions" Jalorda said before nodding to Inferno, who nodded in response to him.

"This fight is between the two of us" SnipeS cracked his knuckles as he got ready to fight.

Inferno thankfully agreed with him.

"And if you lose, you two will have to come with me and get turned in and submit yourselves to the police" Inferno told SnipeS.

"Yes... But I know SnipeS will win" Kain agreed and stepped aside, but not before giving SnipeS a kiss on his cheek before standing aside next to Sleuth.

The inteleon and charizard charged each other, as a decisive battle between them commenced.

...

"Did you really think just because there's three of you, that I'll be so easily defeated!?" Kai yelled as he grabbed a limp Gabu by the neck and slammed him to the ground.

"Damn youuuuu!!!" Vern charged up a dragonbreath, only for Kai to use protect. The dragonbreath bounced away harmlessly from the invisible barrier before Kai closed in and headbutted Vern.

Vern clutched his head in pain before feeling himself receive a mega kick to the stomach and laid on the ground.

"What's wrong? I thought you said you could easily defeat me" Kai goaded as he stomped on Vern's neck.

"Glrk... Gack...!" Vern struggled to get the foot off his throat but Kai pushed it harder.

"Beg! Beg for me to remove it you filthy worm!" Kai cackled as he kept crushing Vern's throat.

Unnerve, recovering from an earlier attack, used hone claws and making his talons sharper, before charging in with his dragon claws at Kai.

"I'll avenge myself from what you've done to me!!!" Unnerve yelled as he charged at Kai.

Kai kicked Vern away before he deflected each one of Unnerve's dragon claw attacks, knowing every move that his former apprentice knew.

"You haven't even learned any new moves at all Unnerve, and I thought I taught you to be the best. Guess I'll have to rectify that later" Kai smirked as he seemingly danced around Unnerve's attacks.

"That's because you completely controlled me!" Unnerve yelled in frustration as he slashed his claws at him.

"You're unfit to be a leader Unnerve, especially how you keep surrounding yourself with weak fools like this garchomp. Not to mention trusting this noivern, he will betray you one day, and you'll regret it. All because you ignored my advice. I put so much effort to make you into a perfect reflection of myself, but with this collar, you will become perfect, and most of all, never disobey me again" Kai mega kicked him away before waving a clawed finger at him.

Unnerve stood up again, trying to come up with a way to win.

"Gabu has been my best lieutenant, and Vern has been very dependable, unlike you Kai" Unnerve readied his dragon claws again.

"This garchomp can't even take down a mareep if it stood still in the middle of the field. True dragons are fierce and powerful, but I only see a timid guppy that has to be carried" Kai continued ranting.

"You... Don't know anything... About me..." Gabu said as he got up, his legs feeling llke jelly.

"I know everything that goes on in the academy. Like the little land shark who became sheltered ever since a certain bat dragon had abandoned him as his partner. Am I correct?" Kai smirked at Gabu.

Gabu flinched upon hearing that, not expecting Kai to know about that.

"Shut up! This is something I regret ever since I left my partner, but now we are together, and we have a shot at a chance of a better future with each other. And you're the only one standing in the way of it" Vern stepped in for Gabu.

"You surround yourself with weaklings who do nothing but bring each other down. I only want strong dragons as proteges, and that's what I saw in you Unnerve. Join me Unnerve, and I might even take you in as my bitch lover if you grovel hard enough for me" Kai held a hand out towards Unnerve.

"I'd rather die!" Unnerve charged at Kai again.

"Then die" Kai charged back at Unnerve.

The two heroes started duking it out with each other inside the room as Inferno carefully tried to land flamethrowers and dragonbreaths at SnipeS, while SnipeS was more free to use his attacks against Inferno, firing snipe shots at Inferno who dodged, causing the walls to get destroyed by the high pressure water.

SnipeS dodged another flamethrower as the wooden table beside him had set on fire.

"You fool! You'll destroy us all!" SnipeS said, extinguishing the fire without taking his eyes off of Inferno.

"I'll take you with all of us if I have to" Inferno charged and tried to hit him with an air slash, which SnipeS dodged and countered with a sucker punch, sending Inferno reeling back and shaking his head.

"You're defending the wrong justice here Inferno. Get it through that thick head of yours that just because you're the number one hero, that doesn't mean you're always in the right" SnipeS said as he used a water pulse.

"It is our duties as heroes to defend the government and law" Inferno retorted as he used fire spin to block the water pulse.

"You're unbelievable for defending someone as corrupt as Jalorda" SnipeS yelled at Inferno.

"It is our job to put criminals behind bars SnipeS, not defend them. Or are you so blind by what you want that you're willing to break what you stood for in the first place?" Inferno sighed before using ember at SnipeS.

SnipeS scoffed and kept attacking with his snipe shots and water pulse. He may have had a type advantage against Inferno, but the sheer difference in their level and power was evident with how much force Inferno had with his attacks compared to him.

Inferno then charged at light speeds towards him, tackling him by using his shoulder, as SnipeS' body bounced on the floor.

Before SnipeS could recover, he was dealt with a strong kick as he bounced in the air, before slamming against the wall.

SnipeS felt the trauma from the impact go through his whole body, before his eyes rolled up in pain as he fell onto the floor unconscious.

"...! SnipeS! SnipeS! Stay with me!" Kain rushed over to SnipeS and tried to wake him up, but to no avail.

Inferno and Sleuth then walked up to Kain.

"You've agreed with the conditions Kain" Inferno said as he brought out a handcuff.

"Come quietly with us" Sleuth brought out another one, just for Kain.

"Alright... Just please don't hurt him anymore" Kain reluctantly complied and had himself cuffed by Sleuth.

"End of the road, ex-hero... I will check on the other chiefs Jalorda, will you be fine by yourself?" Inferno cuffed SnipeS, before flinging him on his shoulder and walked towards the door.

"My business is with Nocturne, now leave and take away the traitor, I'm gonna throw up just sitting in the same room as his unconscious body" Jalorda said as he turned towards Nocturne.

Inferno solemnly nodded as the two of them left the room, with Kain following behind them.

Once they left, Jalorda turned towards Nocturne.

"You're fighting a losing battle Nocturne, you're better off surrendering. If I feel merciful, I might just send you to jail, rather than use a collar on you" Jalorda brought out a collar.

"I'm fighting for what's right... *sniffles*.... I never expected my opponent to be like this... I just want to know why this happened, and why it ended up like this" Nocturne teared up a little as he faced Jalorda.

Jalorda then slammed his paws hard onto his desk.

"You have no idea about the suffering I went through! It's because of YOU that I was ridiculed by the higher ups of the academy! I kept being teased and exposed because of my relationship with the Illusionist!" Jalorda yelled with pent up anger.

Nocturne was confused by what he meant, he never even personally knew Jalorda.

A fear began to arise in his mind. A fear he has been so scared of. A doubt he didnt

want to face.

"I just want to see my son. I want to ask him how I could be a better father. I want to tell

him I'm sorry." Nocturne let out a cry, these old wounds that never healed on full

display. This man, Gov. Jalorda; Nocturne has had his doubts for a while. He didn't want

to face them.

"There is nothing you can do but... Hehehehehe... Hahahhahahahaha... I will let you

see his face one more time, before I completely snuff out the fire in your eyes" Jalorda

laughed as he chuckled and crossed his arms.

Jalorda then transformed himself into a proud, grinning Zoroark. His green eyes

reflecting his father's own.

Nocturne stared in some form of disbelief. He didnt exactly understand what he was

seeing; Jalorda changing into a form akin to his own. It didnt make sense. but then all of

those thoughts, those doubts, those beliefs that Nocturne did not want to think upon.

They came true. In front of him stood a mirror image, his own likeness. In front of him

stood his son. The world faded around him, his heartbeat becoming the only thing he

could hear. His son. His child. "I.."

He fell to his knees.

"It's you... It's you..."

Tears welled up and words failed him. He couldnt speak. The tears flowed down as his

words stopped, every syllable getting caught in his throat.

"Gao...its you."

"I never expected you to be so weak, father, I thought you were stronger than this. Back then I admired you, even worshiped you, thinking you were the best and strongest pokemorph in the world. But I was wrong, you're beneath even a caterpie, I was wrong to admire you even for a second" Gao continued insulting Nocturne as he cried.

"I missed you so much Gao... Come here... Let's be a family again..." Nocturne opened his arms to hug Gao.

Gao however, wasn't in a hugging mood as he readied his claws and fired a dark pulse, missing Nocturne by an inch and hitting a wall instead.

Nocturne was shocked that his own son would try to attack him, and couldn't say anything from what just happened.

"I am no longer the Gao you knew, I died the moment I entered the academy.

"What... What happened Gao...? Hasn't this always been your dream? To become an officer?" Nocturne asked Gao.

"What happened in there was hell, but a silver lining came out of it" Gao snarled at him.

"Please... Please tell me what happened... Please my son..." Nocturne said as he felt his heart breaking.

"There is no point in talking since you will never understand my pain" Gao said as he readied his claws for a night slash, before charging at Nocturne, while Nocturne instinctively brought out his claws to block the attack.

...

The three dragons were very exhausted, with Kai panting a bit as well from their fight.

"I... Expected more from this team... If you only listened to me... You'd have recruited stronger dragons instead of this wimp Gabu... You might have had a better chance..." Kai lectured Unnerve as he panted.

"You have no clue what pain Unnerve went through! You only see Unnerve as a tool more than a person!" Gabu frustratedly yelled at Kai.

"Unnerve was supposed to be a perfect successor to myself. Having a no nonsense personality and arresting those who oppose him, that's a perfect police chief to me" Kai chuckled.

"The Unnerve that you made is fake, someone who is cruel and doesn't care about his team" Gabu retorted as he shook his head.

"At least Unnerve would be strong-" Kai was about to say but was interrupted.

"The new Unnerve that stands for us is way stronger, who shows compassion and care for everyone, and I won't stand for anymore insults!" Gabu yelled at Kai.

Unnerve teared up a little bit from Gabu's words, which Kai noticed.

"You're weak for letting those emotional words get to you, how pathetic" Kai commented.

"I'll show you who's weak!" Gabu was ready to charge against Kai, but Vern held him back.

"He's taunting you, don't let him get to you" Vern warned Gabu.

Gabu seemed to calm down as he looked at Vern.

"You surround yourself with weaklings, and this garchomp is an insult to the garchomp family line" Kai kept insulting Gabu.

Unable to hold himself back, Gabu recklessly charged at Kai in anger.

"Gabu stop!" Unnerve and Vern yelled at Gabu to stop, but the land shark didn't listen.

As Gabu closed in on Kai, his arm was grabbed and then he was swung around before landing a punch straight to his face, sending Gabu flying and crashing against a wall.

Unnerve and Vern looked at Gabu's body in shock, noticing that he wasn't getting up.

"Gabu!" Vern yelled as he came to Gabu's side and checked in on him.

"I can still feel his pulse. He's greatly injured but still alive" Vern said as he teared up a little.

Unnerve gave a sigh of relief as his attention turned back towards Kai, who just smirked at his handiwork.

"If you only recruited strong dragons, this wouldn't have happened" Kai repeated again.

Before Unnerve could say anything, Vern stepped in.

"The entire police force is cruel for treating their top officers like this! I was glad I left the academy, especially if it meant not succumbing to this cruelty!" Vern yelled at Kai.

"You had a lot of potential to be as powerful as me, but chose a life of crime instead. Which is why Unnerve is a prime specimen when it comes to strength. Too bad he discarded that strength for useless things like emotions" Kai chuckled at Vern.

"I don't care about power if it means hurting everyone around me, something you never thought about Kai. What you did to Unnerve was unhealthy with the amount of hatred he had for Nocturne. He would do everything in his power to capture him, even showing no sympathy or care for his own force. Is that what you would call a real officer Kai?" Vern asked Kai.

"Unnerve back then was the real one, not the wimpy one I see now. At least Unnerve had a goal in mind, and would do anything in his power to get what he wants. And now he is broken, and I have to fix my toy myself thanks to all of you" Kai responded.

"Unnerve's unhealthy obsession with capturing Nocturne was toxic! Not only to himself, but to Gabu and the rest of the team. The Unnerve we have here is free from all that, and he will win this fight against Kai since he knows what true power is" Vern retorted.

"And what power is that?" Kai asked Vern.

"He has friends now that would back up and support him" Vern simply said to Kai.

Unnerve heard all of this and tear up, not expecting Vern out of everyone to say something like this as Vern turned back to him.

"And I'm happy working alongside this Unnerve, the police chief who knows how to lead and understand his team" Vern smiled at him.

"This version of Unnerve is a disgrace! Look what it got him! His own teammate knocked out, and a criminal working for him! I can't wait to collar you and show you what superior training is! And I can't wait to collar Gabu too and make him strong like me, and show him how a REAL dragon acts" Kai smirked and licked his lips as he eyed Gabu, Vern, and Unnerve.

"That will never happen, we will win against you" Vern said to Kai.

"You will sing a different tune and beg me for all sorts of training. Maybe I'll even let you watch the extreme stuff I will do to Gabu if I'm feeling generous" Kai smirked at Vern.

Vern got riled up and growled at Kai, as Unnerve warned him not to charge recklessly.

"Don't listen to him, he's just trying to rile you up!" Unnerve warned him, but it was too late as Vern was already enraged and charged at him with his dragon claws.

Kai stood his ground and grabbed Vern's arm before slashing across his chest.

Vern felt the stinging pain but endured it as he tried to kick him away, but Kai blocked it with his leg.

Stunned and defenseless, Vern felt Kai close his hand on his throat before he started squeezing hard on his throat with only one hand as he lifted him in the air while Vern struggled.

"Hmm... I could easily throw this onto your neck right now... But that would be no fun would it? No, my first victim would be my protege, so why don't you go take a nap next to your boyfriend. Don't worry, we'll be getting to know each other's bodies next time. You'll both soon come to love me, just as you loved that pathetic land shark" Kai said as he tossed Vern up in the air before roundhouse kicking him and sending him flying into the same wall that Gabu crashed into, before being knocked out.

"That was uncalled for!" Unnerve yelled as he looked in horror at what happened to both Vern and Gabu as Kai clasped his hands together.

"That criminal deserved it, but now I can focus on taking care of you Unnerve" Kai declared before charging at him with a dragon claw.

...

Nocturne was on the defensive as he was able to parry each strike from Gao, before sensing an opening and going for a strike, but realized this was his son and held back.

This act of hesitation was rewarded by Gao taking advantage of him and slashing across his chest, drawing some blood.

"Gah...!" Nocturne yelped in pain.

"What's wrong? It's just a little bit of pain you have to endure. The mental pain I suffered was a lot worse than you think" Nocturne mocked.

"Please Gao... I want to know what happened to you at the academy..." Nocturne begged his son.

"Tch... Fine... This is what happened, and why i'm here now" Gao scoffed but decided to give in to Nocturne's demand.

"Everything was fine in the academy at first. I went in as a zorua, and not bothering to even disguise myself, and nobody said anything much to me. But then I started getting bullied by the buffer cadets. I'm talking about machamps and hariyamas. They teased me for being a shapeshifter. I admit it was fine at first since they were just making remarks about it. But it got worse as you became more famous with what you did. You remember don't you? Stealing paintings and jewelry? When the others caught wind of a pokemorph that was able to steal things and disguise themselves with illusions, the academy started speculating it was a ditto, or even possibly one from the zorua family. The teasing got a lot worse with most of my classmates saying that I must be related to the culprit behind these crimes, and they were correct. It's all your fault father. They called me names, pushed me around, and the sergeants didn't even bat an eye to defend me" Gao explained with extreme prejudice towards his own father.

As Nocturne listened to his explanation, he started tearing up in front of Gao, which Gao noticed.

"I can't believe I was born from a weak father who could cry from something like this" Gao muttered mockingly.

"I never... I never knew this about the academy, I didn't know that they treated you so poorly..." Nocturne trailed off.

"And this is why you're suffering now, because you never bothered to find out. This wasn't the worst of it. It wasn't until I was called into a meeting with Chief Kai, Tai, and the other sergeants at the academy that it became the worst experience of my life" Gao said before pausing for a moment, steering himself for a moment before he continued again.

"They had a hunch I was related to the Illusionist, I would try to deny it as best as I could but they wouldn't believe me since zoruas were known to be tricksters. So they put me in a place where you couldn't imagine the amount of suffering I went through" Gao continued.

Nocturne can feel himself breaking as he kept tearing up, but he knew he had to know.

"What place was that?" Nocturne asked his son.

Gao shuddered a bit before recomposing himself.

"They put me in solitary confinement" Gao said as he found it hard to even say.

Nocturne broke down on his knees upon hearing that his son had been thrown into a dark room, with nobody to listen to him.

"You shouldn't have been treated like that... I-I wish I could have done something..." Nocturne pleaded to his son.

"It was all your fault that I had to go through this. Even if it was only one night, I was anxiety driven and had many thoughts racing in my head, one of them being that you would rescue me from that place and never go back there ever again. But no, it was a dream that will never come true knowing how it's all your fault that I'm in here. I thought I was going to die there while the officers would torture the information out of me. One night there had already broken me" Gao said in an upset manner.

"I never wanted any of this... I only became the Illusionist to support you Gao" Nocturne tried to tell Gao.

"You only hurt me more with your endeavors being famous like a phantom thief! However, one silver lining did come out of it" Gao said, trailing off with the last part.

Nocturne's ear twitched in response, being surprised by what Gao had said.

"There was one last pokemorph that came out and helped me, and it was him" Gao said as he transformed into Governor Jalorda and looked down at Nocturne.

Nocturne was shocked, unsure about what to say about this as Gao transformed back into his zoroark form.

"The original governor rescued me from the cruel world I had to endure. The governor took care of me, taught me how to be a politician and run a government. More than you could ever offer me" Gao told Nocturne.

Nocturne was confused by what the original governor wanted out of it, which Gao picked up.

"The governor chose me because he wanted to retire, but he wanted to keep his image alive as the eternal governor of the city. I easily took up this deal and impersonated governor Jalorda into what he is today.

Nocturne was shocked, never knowing the secret about the government's situation.

"Where is the real Jalorda now?" Nocturne asked Gao.

"He's retired on a forever vacation on some island, enjoying his well deserved rest. I was given free rein to do whatever I see fit if you think he tried to manipulate me. And now I will get back at you for ruining my life by causing all those around you to suffer" Gao said as he brought out a collar "And I created these to make sure everyone is obedient to me, and so nobody will oppose me"

"Taking someone's will is morally corrupt Gao!" Nocturne yelled at him, not as an enemy, but as a father trying to teach his son what he could now that he was here.

"I look forward to throwing this around your neck and make you suffer like I did" Gao chuckled evilly, having no intention of giving him any mercy.

"This... This is not the Gao I raised, this is the shadow of my son... You're not him... That's why I know you're in there Gao! Fight it!" Nocturne called out to Gao.

"Your son died in solitary confinement, remember?" Gao said as he smirked at him.

Nocturne looked deeply into Gao's eyes and saw only a serperior, but no zorua. There was no trace of his son, only a sneaky snake.

"You should give up on rescuing your son. I'm no longer Gao, no, I AM Jalorda! Gao is dead!" Gao declared to Nocturne.

Nocturne shook his head, while tears flowed down his eyes. He brought up one paw and wiped his face of the tears.

"It's my duty as a father to save my son" Nocturne tried to convince Gao.

"Hahahaha! You don't get it do you? I'm going to kill you right now, you can't save me!" Gao laughed it off, before bringing his claws up for a night slash.

"I rescued Unnerve from Kai, and it's my duty as a father to bring my son home" Nocturne insisted.

"I HATE YOUUUUUUU!!!" Nocturne charged as he came slashing at him.

Unnerve was on one knee, struggling to regain his resolve, but was extremely injured and tired after his fight with Kai.

"If you had just listened to me, you would not be in this mess, and with the wrong crowd too" Kai warned him as he was visibly injured and tired as well.

"Well I stand with the crowd I'm with, and their support is what will drive me to the new future" Unnerve said with determination.

"You will never reach that future. Your future is to embrace being my pet and lover Unnerve, you will never escape me. Right after this collar, all you will think about is me, and how much you love me. Going on all fours at my side, obeying any command I give you. Jalorda will make Nocturne his pet too, and I can't wait to see that family dynamic. Hell you could say we'll all be each other's lovers, fucking each other like animals everyday, and there will be nothing you could do about it except enjoy it with me Unnerve. I still remember how you loved to embrace me in return while kissing each other" Kai shook his head as he brought out a collar, while describing lewd stuff and fucking with Unnerve's head.

Unnerve blushed, feeling memories of his past when he accepted being Kai's lover back then, but knew it was an empty promise. There were no feelings behind it, there was only lust.

But one particular thing puzzled Unnerve, and that was the part about the family dynamic.

"You seriously don't know do you?" Kai asked Unnerve as he smirked.

"What are you getting at?" Unnerve asked Jalorda.

"I know the deep, dark secret of who Governor Jalorda really is" Kai teased Unnerve.

"Then fucking tell me!" Unnerve said, not wanting things to be cryptic.

"There's no point in telling you, not when all you would know after fitting this collar is you worshipping my body, just like you used to compliment me. Jalorda is someone Nocturne has been seeking for a long time"Kai smirked cockily again.

Unnerve slammed his fists on the ground, then got back up and getting one last dragon claw at the ready.

"Then I'll have to beat the answer out of you. I will win because all of my friends are with me, my new comrades at my side, along with the night fox that helped me heal my heart. I will show you that your side is wrong and I will triumph!" Unnerve declared while pointing at Kai.

"Bah! I would rely more on myself if I were you, and only myself. That is how where I got to where I am today" Kai said as he readied his claws.

"I refuse to live that life again, and me and my friends will defeat you and Jalorda!" Unnerve said as his claws glowed with purple draconic energy.

"Then you need one more lesson before I collar you my lover!" Kai said before the two rushed at each other and collided.

Gao and Nocturne continued clashing with each other, with Gao in complete anger against Nocturne.

"You're only speaking in anger and you don't mean that!" Nocturne told Gao as he kept deflecting his attacks.

"I am not! This is my true feelings towards you father! You made my life a living hell, and now my name is Jalorda! DON'T CALL ME GAO! I will do everything in my power to shut you down and the rest of your operation!" Gao yelled at Nocturne as he tried to slash him.

"Gao please stop this! Just come back home and live with me as a family again" Nocturne pleaded with him.

"I have no family! And my dad abandoned me to become famous for his own goals!" Gao yelled at him frustratedly as he kept slashing.

"I didn't do all that stuff to tarnish our name! I did all of that to support you! So you could become an officer like you always wanted!" Nocturne said, as he was confused while dodging and deflecting the slashing from Gao.

"Hahahaha! All that did was make it worse for me! YOU made my career blow up in my face!" Gao unleashed payback, causing Nocturne to instinctively backflip away and create some distance.

Gao took a deep breath, not sure what Nocturne had in store for him as he waited for him to make the first move.

All Nocturne did was open his arms in a hug.

"I'm sorry Gao, I'm truly sorry as a father. I have failed you. I just want to be with you again. I don't want anything more than to be able to love you, and be proud of you. You are not Jalorda, you are Gao, the son I know and love" Nocturne told his son.

"I'm Governor Jalorda! Stop trying to trick me! I know all about your charismatic personality! You won't affect me with your bullshit" Gao yelled as he shook his head as he briefly turned back into Jalorda.

"I am the governor of this place! And you will bow down to me!" Gao said as Jalorda.

"I know my son is still there, and I will do whatever it takes to convince you that you are my son!" Nocturne stubbornly said to him, causing Gao to turn back into a zoroark in frustration.

"Stop saying that! I hate you!!!" Gao yelled at him.

Gao looked inside his eyes, he still saw the serperior, but also saw a tiny zorua yelling for help.

Upon seeing what he saw in Gao's eyes, he teared up and smiled, which Gao noticed.

"Just give up and die for me!" Gao yelled at him.

"I will keep on fighting and doing everything to get my son back!" Nocturne yelled back at him.

"GRAAAAAGHHH... JUST... DIIIIIEEEEE!!!" Gao yelled into the sky as he charged at Nocturne again.

Nocturne tried deflecting several blows from Gao but his son went absolutely berserk as he kept slashing faster and faster to kill him.

Nocturne was then knocked onto the ground as one last slash was made, feeling his bones vibrate from how powerful the slash was as he fell.

"Gah... Hah... Agh!!!" Nocturne gasped as Gao stomped on his belly with his foot while looking down at him.

"You have nothing anymore, and you lost. You lost your team just to save a son that no longer exists" Gao cruelly said to Nocturne.

"I believe... That my son... Is just right in front of me... And I'll continue to believe that till the very end" Nocturne managed to utter as a tear rolls from his face.

"There's no more hope, no allies, and soon, you will know your place" Gao said before rearing his foot and kicking Nocturne again, making him slide across the floor.

"Gah...!" Nocturne coughed in pain both physically exhausted and emotionally drained.

"It should be right about time, and it should be the icing on the cake to completely destroy your world" Gao smirked as he looked at his watch.

At that moment, the door to Jalorda's office opened, and in steps a haxorus...

Endings will be at the next two chapters. One for the canon good ending, and one for the non-canon bad ending
