I got onto the crowded school bus, and sat in a seat fit for an average sized person, not for me a teenager of about 6' 4". The bus is always loud with people yelling at the person right next to them. I tune them out with my iPod Touch and my noise canceling headphones. The big headphones the D.J's wear. So I watched my friends talk about stuff I didn't care for. I was the new guy that didn't really know anybody and I wanted it to look like that. So less people approach me. I got off with my three friends, Rakisha, average girl from Prince George's county, Shawn, the soccer player from Georgia, and Dan...the... well he's just Dan, and me, Devin tall, anime loving, video game nerd.
As we arrived at Shawn's porch, I noticed a pale goth kid about 15 to 17, like us. "Who's the goth kid." I said. "What? You mean the vampire kid?" Dan said. "Yeah he's been following us for the past couple days." I said. "He's creepy." said Rakisha. "I agree." Shawn said moving in to kiss Rakisha.
The vampire-looking kid walked over to us and stood in front of me, and I noticed the obvious height difference, about a foot. I looked in his red eyes, contacts of course, and he smiled, showing his fangs...wait fangs? I pushed him out of fear; he stumbled back, and regained his footing. He reached into his pocket and pull out four spherical, marble sized stones, one cobalt, one crimson, one emerald, and one topaz.
"I tell you the name of your killer. My name is Vladimir." He said disappearing and then reappearing front of Dan. "Wha...wait!" Dan said as Vladimir pressed the cobalt stone in Dan's heart, killing him instantly. "Dan!" The three of yelled as we saw Dan fall to the ground, with his blood pooling underneath him. I elbowed Vladimir in the face knocking out one of his fangs. I don't know how I did that but...I don't really care right now. "A fine blow Ventus." Vladimir said to me. "And now for Flamma." He said turning towards Rakisha. "Don't you touch her!" Shawn said getting into a boxing stance. "How noble of you, Terra." Vladimir said shoving the topaz stone into Shawn's heart, and then Rakisha's heart. "And then there was one, Ventus." Vladimir said biting my carotid artery and slowly pressing the emerald stone in my heart. At this point I...no we should be dead but, I see everyone's chest rising and falling slowly but surely.
Next thing I knew, I was in a dark, small enclosed space. I think I'm in a morgue, but I still have my clothes on. I start kicking the spot where I see a sliver of light. After one kick , an explosion of light nearly blinds me. "Dude wake up." Shawn said. "Shawn!? You're alive!?" I yelled surprised. "Yeah with earth powers to boot." Shawn said "You have wind powers." "I do?" "Yep, you made a vacuum of compressed air and exploded it outwards." "How'd you get out?" "I kicked the crap out the hatch." "Oh...what about Dan and Rakisha?"
On cue a small explosion blew open the hatch and Shawn let Rakisha down easily. "Oh... my chest hurts. What happened and why are we in a morgue." Rakisha said. "We died and came back to life." I said looking in the mirror and checking my teeth. "What are you doing?" Dan asked "The vampire kid Vladimir bit me before he put the stone in my heart, and I really don't want to be a vampire." I said. "Cause they sparkle." Dan said "Dan shut up! Wait when did you get out of there?" Rakisha said. "Oh I just turned into water and trickled out." Dan said smirking "Cool." Shawn and I said "We should leave and go get that vampire kid." Rakisha said.
With that comment we snuck out of the morgue and hospital and found Vladimir outside of the hospital waiting for us. "Good to see the other Elementals up and about." Vladimir said with lightning crackling around his hand. "Hey before we kick your sorry ass, remember how you bit me before you put the stone in my heart?" I said. "Yes what of it? Ah... you won't become a vampire; the stone prevented it because you didn't wish to be a vampire." Vladimir said. "Ok that's for that." I said relieved. I cracked my knuckles and suddenly the wind began to pick up speed from a gentle breeze to a category five hurricane. "Dude tone it down!" Shawn yelled. "Oh right." I said lowering the wind speed to an ominous breeze. "Yes let's make the weather appropriate." said Vladimir adding thunder clouds to the mix. "Shawn can you raise the earth, so we don't get other people in our fight." I asked "Sure, 300 feet good?" Shawn said raising the earth. "Don't ask if you're gonna' do it anyway. But yeah this is good. Now to slay a vampire." I said.
I created blades of air around my arms and rushed at Vladimir, I aimed a chop to his neck but, he has lightning fast reflexes, no pun intended. He kick me in the chest, hard. I flew over the edge of our battle field. I don't know what happened while I was falling, but I know there were a lot of explosions. Suddenly I stopped falling and shot back up and over the battlefield. I can fly, without the gay pixie dust. I dived at Vladimir, who was distracted by spikes of ice and earth and the occasional fireball. Vladimir was shocked to see my wind-laden elbow meet right between his vampiric eyes. The force from my Elbow-From-the-Heavens broke our battlefield and reduced the height by about a hundred feet. "That hurt Ventus, but I'll show you real power!" Vladimir said as he charged lightning around him. I wasn't having him do so stupid powerful lightning bolt, so I wrapped wind blades around my arms and dashed forwards at hurricane like speed, pun intended this time. Vladimir didn't see me in time or reacted too slowly. I reached through his body and grabbed his heart and set my blades of wind on frappe. Vladimir screamed in agony, it got on my nerves so I chopped through his neck and once again set my blades of wind on frappe. I looked like a crazy chainsaw killer, Vladimir's head and upper body was a mush of flesh and bone.
I saw an amethyst stone in the mush and when I picked it up all, and I mean ALL the lightning in the area struck me. I let out a very girly scream and fell over. My friends were ROTFLing at my misery, and you know what they say 'misery loves company' so out of nowhere three bolts struck my friends and knocked them out cold. "I got lightning powers now. Heh heh." I said laughing evilly.I glance around at the surrounding area and see that the hospital and my school is destroyed. "Aww crap." I said as helicopters and fighter jets surround me. "Karma freaking sucks sweatly balls!" I yelled as my friends and I get arrested.
