Finally got this one done sorry for being so late with this one. I hope the next chapter will be done sooner. Well I hope you all enjoy this and always.

He was a stranger who came these lands. He wore strange clothes and spoke with a strange accent. Yet he seemed more angry than scared. He seems lost, yet he had a path he followed. The ninetales of the land were hunted as he sought to save them. He had a power many had heard of that few were blessed with from the grace of Arcues. The whisper of the pokemon. The hearing of the true voice of pokemon. As they seem to listen to him. He fought the scourge of the land those who saw pokemon as profit and nothing more. With the help of two of the legendary dogs he was able to push the scourge away.

Later he was once again forced to help the small village. Once more he called upon the ninetales to help the small village. In the village's time of need he called upon them and the two legendary dogs and once and for all destroy those who threaten the village. With that his words were simple to grateful villagers.

**_“Do no harm to these creatures as they the same as you are. They feel, they love and care. They are your friends and allies."

From that day the ninetales were seen as scared pokemon even as far as laws were passed to prevent capturing of them. Under penalty of law. Only the anniversary of the village being saved was it allowed ninetales or vulpixs could be capture. Even then they chose their trainer. _**

The story of the Hero of the ninetales.

Jeff sighs at the end of the story as Pyra looks at her as she looks confused by this. Yet it seemed to be the main reason of the promise. He walks up to her and scratches behind her ear. She murrs happily at the attention but he stops and moves away from her.

Pyra watches him leave. Her heart is broken as part of her leaves with the human who saved her and change her.

Yet why does it feel like this, this emptiness within her gnaws at her very being?

She knew it would never work out as she is a Pokémon and he is human. Yet she thinks of her feelings and how they cloud her thoughts of joy she should have about having her pack back. Yet what can he give her? More sorrow?

Her heart feels shattered as his words not of kindness or promised she knew that would-be lies. It was a promise. A promise he told her she owed him.

“You and your kind are not to help the humans of the settlement." Under no circumstance was she to break that promise to him.

She told him she didn't care about the humans but only him.

He froze when she told him that. He seems to struggle with those words.

“We can't. Not that you're a pokemon…..I know …. I know you feel something. I haven't felt this in a long time. Yet I can't love you. It's not you but me…..I look at you and I see…." He stops as he looks at her. He sees that dreaded ninetales. Despite her submissive look he can only see that ninetales who messed up his life after he was shunned by the pokemon and the town.

Jeff shakes his head. After all this all he can still think about is that damn ninetales. Pyra shouldn't be punished for that pokemon's sins towards him.

Still he had his ace in his sleeve. Her promise. Her promise will change it all. If she keeps her pack away from the village that will become his home town. They will never become the scared pokemon to the village he will not be that cursed boy. Maybe he can have a life, friends…..a love once more.

A voice speak's to Jeff. 'You have one in front of you. Yes, she has four legs and furry, but she was a good fuck, wasn't she? Wasn't like she wasn't willing despite what the dragonair did. '

That was all Jeff could think of was how sick and perverted it was, yet deep down he knew that was a lie. He did love He enjoyed it. He had wanted it more.

Jeff looks at her thinking how it got to this point. He just wanted to go home despite nothing being there. No, he had chance to do that with Raikou and now this. He hated his life. It was unfair. Unfair he was not allowed to be a trainer. Being called a cursed child no friends. He could not even have the one who loved him despite him being the cursed child.

Well he had someone whom seem to like him. Yet did she? Yeah, they mated as she put it. It was awkward to say the least between them after Lani did what she did to them as they slept. That dumb dragonair. It seems that they were mates after he took her, and she didn't reject him. He could not wrap his head around this. AS the pack seem ok with this. So many trainers and other humans got in trouble for having sex with their pokemon. Yet pokemon saw they were doing nothing wrong as they were just having sex with their mates or those they were close to.

Too bad society will never see it that way. Yes, there were who took advantage of their pokemon. Yet many knew better. If a pokemon said no. You would know.

Yet he had allowed his heart to be open to her and she took it as a confession of love from him.

Now he made her swear not to help the village. Maybe this chosen one would show up and save them. Yet that seem unlikely without the help of the ninetales. Now he would stop that legend from coming true. Still it was strange it was never told who he was who gather the ninetales and Raikou and Suicune to follow him. He had asked them both about this human of legend of his time. They had no idea whom he spoke of.

Yet it was a tale he grew up with till he became the cursed child which he started to hate the tale. One who was shunned by the ninetales. After that he hated the story and anything to do with it. As It was what sent him on his path he was on. All his dreams taken from him. Not having anything to have back at his time.

Now he was going to change history. He felt good about it. He was still alive so he assumed things were still the same. Yet would it be the same when he went back? Would he ever meet his first love?

No best to keep her out of this as he only seems to cause her trouble she was better off without him if she ever found out what he did. She would hate him.

He looks at Raikou as he walking to keep at his pace. The large electric dog was trying to keep his word to help Jeff with finding Celebi to find a way to get the time traveling pokemon to send him home. Suicune was with them as she wanted to make sure Jeff didn't take advantage of her brother.

Suicune seem to trust Jeff to a point thinking he was wrong about what he did with Pyra. That he should have brought her with him. Jeff was adamant about not taking her with him.

He was right about this.

Yet was he?

Why did he have so many doubts about this?

Jeff wanted to go home and pray he was going home to a better future. Maybe he would be a trainer when he went back.

A female voice catches his attention from behind him “Human. Why are we going to the village?"

Jeff looks over at Suicune and sighs. “I told you to get supplies. You both are ok sleeping in the wilds and hunting food. I am not like you two. I hope those years learning to camp will pay off. “ He jiggles the bag of evolution stones he got off the ship.

“Leave him alone sister. He is just making sure he is ready for the trip ahead. We do not know how long this will take." Raikou voice trying to sound diplomatic.

“Which is why we should have brought Pyra. She would have taken care of you. You humans are so needy. So weak." Suicune scoffs loudly

Jeff waives her off “Yes, yes we humans are so weak. I told you why I didn't want to take her. She just got her family back and pack. They need her to be there. Not here wandering around the world with me. “

Suicune glares at Jeff. “What are you afraid of human? She loves you I can see that and is willing to abandon her pack for you yet you refuse her. Why? For one of her kind to have such strong feeling for one such as you. I do not understand."

Raikou laughs “Says the one who has mated many humans."

“Hey! They were strong and I was in heat at the time." Suicune looks away blushing.

“Sure, sis sure. That was fun trying to get Entei not to kill that one human who had you howling for the moon." Raikou says in a matter of fact voice.

“Shut up you over grown lighting rod!" Suicune growls.

Jeff holds back a laugh as he shakes his head.

“Look I have the evolution stones for trade. Even these days this will go for a decent price."

Suicune looks at Jeff with a look bitter look. “Why are you scared human? I taste the fear coming off you. I never tasted such fear from a human before. Expect that time a human stood before Ho-oh in judgement."

“ I am not scared!!!!" Jeff snaps at Suicune as she takes a step back from him in surprise.

“Why are you here? Raikou is the only one who needs to be here. You seem to hate me as it is. You basically attacked me when we first met." Jeff's anger seeps out in his words.

“I am looking out for my brother and see you don't take advantage of him. That is all." She huffs

Raikou moves closer to Jeff and whispers to him. “She is bored. She does this big sister act with me and Entei. So, we won't feel alone. Just let her come otherwise she will be more vocal about it. Best to let her think she won."

Jeff sighs wearily at the lighting pokemon. “Fine whatever. You can come Suicune. I just want to find Celebi and go home."

“Why the onion head and not Dialga he could do it in a snap he usually at spear pillar." Suicune says in a matter of fact tone.

“Are you nuts?!? That is in a whole different region! And what are the odds he is even there? No Raikou says he can find Celebi. Also, from what I heard trying to see Dialga whom is worship like a god by those who follow him would most likely kill me or at best just beat me to appease their god. No, it would better to find Celebi. Celebi is always said to be a forest fairy spirt who is not treated like a god. Unlike many of you legendries whom are seen as gods by the people. "

Suicune looks at him for a brief second before speaking. “You seem to think we are gods we have powers to control the world. You humans hold us in high regard. Yes, we have been blessed by our goddess, yet we do bleed and feel pain. Especially the pain of living for so long. It's why we are so alone most of time. We tend to outlive those we are closet to. Which is why do not understand why you reject her feelings. Love is the greatest thing we all can have. Even we legendries know that. It has more than once took control over us when we know it is feeling that is of the moment. That is all you have sometimes human. A moment in time."

“It is painful, it's something that you are not allowed to have when the world believes you are cursed. When you want to be loved and those who are your family try to love you but even than they wonder if you are cursed. Everything was taken from me. My journey, my friends, my love……because of….." He stops as he shakes in rage not wanting to say it out loud. She just must keep her word, and this will be different.

“It doesn't matter once I go home things will be different. I will have my life back and you all do not have to worry about me. Look the sun will be setting soon I would like to be on the road soon. Just wait outside the village. Once I get some supplies we can go ok?" Jeff sighs warily

Both the legendary dogs nod as they wait outside the village in the forest. If they were on guard, they would know they were in all trouble even before it happens.

Jeff searches for the supply shop. Knowing it had to be here. If he was correct it near the center of the town that was being built here. It was said the shop had been the first shop built for the village to bring in more travers to bring money and supplies to help build up the village. He makes it to the center of town and notices the statue that was erected for the savior of the village was not there. Why should it be? The event that change this village has not happen. The great savoir who came here to save the village to stop the pirates who threaten the village has not happen. He and his loyal pokemon. Strange it was always said he had come with the two legendry dogs and the ninetales. Yet neither of them seemed to know who he was when he asked the two canines about it. This still confused him on how this was supposed to happen. No one seem to know who this human was.

Also, without knowing when the time he was in he didn't know if it was happening sooner or later. Than before he was about to continue his search for the supply shop he stops as a chill seems to pierce him.

It was than he felt it fear. It was a feeling he had a lot here in this time. Yet this was a pressure that came with the fear he knew something was off. No one was in the center of town. The town seems deserted. This was wrong people and there pokemon should have been building the houses and working the fields. The docks were empty even though ships were in. He noticed one ship that it looks familiar. It hit him all at once as he heard Raikou roar as the bolt of lightning erupted from the forest.

No!

Jeff tried to run to late as a dark shape descends from the sky. Almost crushing him from where he just was.

He sees something he hope he never see. A dragonite, an angry one at that. As he turns to run to try to make it to Raikou and Suicune he sees a figure before him. Before something blunt hits him in his face. Jeff fall over in pain. He tries once more to rise the dragonite raises its arm and brings it down hard onto him and darkness takes him.

Someone in the shadows watches in horror as the two legendries are over taken by overwhelming number of humans and there pokemon. The figure gasp seeing Jeff taken down.

“I have to tell Pyra." With that the bushes shake, and the figure is gone.

Pyra is laying on a flat rock looking depressed as she does little or say much. Her mother and brother both seem distressed over her mood. Many of the pack have tried to cheer her up. Old friends who still are vulpixs try to get her to have fun. She politely declines them much to their sorrow.

“How long are you going to pout like you are still a vulpix?"

She looks up at the source of the voice. Her brother looking at her with an angry look. He looks so much like their father. It pains her to look at him and not think of her father. His voice sounds like him also. She thinks back to when she went into Jeff's mind about her father's last word. She experiences what Jeff felt when her father died. She had never felt such emotions before. Yes, she felt sorrow of her father passing. Yet the human felt sorrow for her father for being so weak despite his efforts to save her kind. It was something she had never felt someone could have for someone who was not of there kind.

“None of your business. I have the right to do what I want dear brother. I have worked my furry rump off to help everyone and I am tired." She huffs out a tiny flame.

“You have done nothing but follow the human and then whine like a tiny vulpix when he denied you. You need to stop acting like a tiny kit!" He growls at her.

Pyra tails glow as she glares at her brother then her eyes glow with such power that startles her brother when he feels something grab him as he is thrown across the forest almost hitting a tree. It is than she stops hearing a voice in her head telling her to stop. She realizes almost to late what she is about to do as she stops him before colliding with the tree. She releases him as he flops to the ground scared. Pyra looks to the left, the glare from her mother looking at her, she begins to whine knowing she had messed up, she lowers her head in shame at her outburst towards her brother.

Their mother looks over her brother to make sure the shaken ninetales is fine.

“Pyra come. We need to talk about somethings now!" Her voice gives no room to complain.

Pyra follows her mother. Her head hang low as most of the pack seem to watch in silence.

As they arrive a bit away from the others. Pyra still refuses to look at her mother after her outburst almost injured her brother.

As they arrive near a clearing where they are staying at. Pyra can see the day as it gives away to night. She sighs as she wonders what her mother will say. She only told her Jeff didn't need her help and her pack needed her more.

“You are being a spoiled kit and that will not bring him back. You need to let him go." Pyra stiffens at her mother's words.

She just whines as her head drops her tails look limp as they lay on the ground.

“I know you love him more than I thought could be possible. Don't try to deny it dear. I have seen it before my sister fell for a human once and left with him. I never heard from her again. I do not know if they are together still or …. I rather not think of it."

Pyra does not look at her mother. Knowing what her heart feels and wants. Knowing he rejected her. Caring more for a promise she told him she will fulfill. Anyone of the pack could have done it why did she have to carry this burden. Because she was the one he made the promise with. Now she carried the burden of his wish. Yet she could care less about the village of humans the only human she cared about was him. Now he was gone.

“My little pup I know he cares for you as I could sense his sorrow he had for you when he left."

Pyra looks up at her mother with such sadness. “Then why did he just leave me? I love him. I would have done anything for him. To make him happy as being near him makes me happy." She begins to weep as a low whine comes from her muzzle.

Her mother moves in front of her nuzzles her as she was still a vulpix. Despite being a ninetales she still feels so small to this world. Now with her first love gone she feels so alone despite most of her family being here.

She had missed her father. She wanted him here for him to tell her it was ok as her mother was trying to do. Why was fate so cruel?

'Because life is never fair Pyra. If it was I would have a better life.'

Jeff's words hit her hard as he carries this hatred of her kind. Yet he saved them and tried to save her father.

She is about to ask her mother a question as she hears voices yelling.

“You say she is over here fire mutt?" a familiar voice that pains her to hear.

“I am a ninetales sea serpent!" Her brother she recognizes yelling back.

Lani comes slithering out as she is panting hard.

“Pyra! Pyra!! You must come now. They have been captured by those whom your kind was freed from. I think they wish to do harm to Jeff!"

Without a moment of hesitation she is up and moving upon the dragonair. “Where? Where are they at?"

Before Lani can say anything her brother steps in front of Lani.

“What about the promise you made to him about not helping the humans of the village? You swore you would do nothing." As if to mock her by her own words. She growls at him knowing the truth of his words.

As he stares her down, Pyra looks conflicted by this as she thinks about this. She did say that as now it looks like he will never be able to be with her with his death. Yet she did promise not to help the village.

“Hey, he is in trouble as are Lady Suicune and Lord Raikou!!! You all have to do something!" Lani growls at Pyra's brother.

No that was it.

“And I will keep that promise my brother. If anyone gets in my way to save Jeff, woe to them. All I care for is him not the village or anyone else. Just him!" She growls.

“Is that what you want my daughter? Are you willing to die for him in this foolish endeavor?" Her mother questions her.

“Yes! Do not get in way mother. Jeff did what he did for our kind and only asked for a favor, a promise in return. I am only doing what any friend would do."

Her mother sighs “Or what a love one would do for the one they care for. My son, go to the pack and gather those who are strong enough to fight and tell them to follow I think she will not wait for them. Go, we will follow Pyra."

Pyra smiles as Lani nods and slithers off as she follows her to where Jeff is. Praying she is not to late to save her love.

Jeff can only see darkness as he thinks it is over, and he is dead. Well that sucked. He was expecting at least to see a slide show of his brief life. Now any minute Darkrai will show up and tell him he was going to hell. What a lousy way to end it all. Here he thought he was getting a second chance.

HA! Fat chance!

He just floats in the darkness. Now he can only think about his mistakes he has made and those he has hurt. His first love. She would have stood by his side despite the hate and scorn that was thrown his way. That was unfair to her. Best to let her be happy. Then there was Pyra. Another female who would have stood by his side. Once more he didn't want to make her leave her family.

Yet was it that? Was that the real reason? She would have followed him if he had not made her promise to make sure her kind did not help the village. Hell, in her packs mind he was her mate already. What he did was in a sense abandoned his mate. He was human so how would that even work. If he was a pokémon it would be different. In any case they would have killed him if not for her love for him he assumed. Yet here he was dead and now with nothing left to fight for or look forward to.

“Is that true human? You run from it all. You say you hate our kind, yet you go through the trouble to save me and my pack. You have my daughter fall for you and, yet you reject her not with malice, but fear of something that will come to pass."

He turns to the voice and sees the large ninetales who should be dead yet.

“No, I am dead human. I am just a … voice from the beyond here to tell you something you should already know. You cannot escape the past. You cannot change what has been. You can only move forward. She will follow you because you are two souls who are bounded by more than love. It is something neither of you can escape. Promises, running or hiding from what is to be will not help as time will make sure all is it should be."

Jeff looks confused by this. “I am dead! I can't change that! I CAN'T CHANGE ANYTHING ANYMORE!" He roars at the ninetales trying to move but unable to do much.

The ninetales muzzle grows into a large smile. “It was dark when they came. It was a time when hope was lost. The raiders came and threaten the village. They came destroyed what was being built to take what was not there's. The villagers tired to fight but were no match for the ruthless raiders. Yet hope came from an unknown traveler. He spoke to the pokemon and understood them. He came with the legendries Suicune and Raikou. With the scared ninetales who adored him. They came to free the village from the scourge of the raiders. With those followers they freed the village. He was a true savior of these lands."

Jeff has heard this version of the tale told too him many times growing up from his mother and father, from school at an early age. Why would he know this? Than the words hit him all at once of what he has been saying to him. Time cannot be change it will find a way to right itself.

“No." Fear fills his voice.

“Yes Jeff. It is time for you to take your place in history and for you to play your part in what has already been told. You cannot escape it anymore. Awake she has arrived. Now play the parts that has already been told."

With those words pain shoots through his body as he groans he can hear voices around as he tries his best to open his eyes. He can only feel pain as his eyes refuse to open.

“Hey boss! I think he is waking up."

He is kicked hard as he gives a muffled grunt. His eyes finally open as he can see Suicune and Raikou chained up and in cages as they struggle weakly. He can see some buildings on fire that lights up the night sky. The villagers as looking on with a despairing look, some crying over the loss of their new homes. Many of their pokemon are being collared and caged also. Some struggling hard as many are being beaten.

“So, the hero awakens." The gruff looking pirate looks at him.

'No don't call me that. Please let it be wrong please don't let it be true'. Jeff wants to cry as fate is mocking him now.

“You thought you could take what I had and there would be no consequence little hero?"

'Stop it' he thinks I am not a hero. I can't be. I failed to do anything. I am nobody but a cursed child no one cares for. He feels a sharp pain in the stomach as he was just kicked hard. He feels salvia hit his face as he was just spitted on.

“Worthless! That is what you are little hero. You are worthless as you could save no one. And no one will save you. “He looks up to see the pirate pull an old-style Revolver out and point it at him. “Now you will die."

A sound breaks out from the darkness. A howl. Followed by many others making the other pirates becoming scared.

“What the hell is that ruckus. You fools don't lose your nerves. It's just some wild pokemon. Most likely fucking or a mating call."

“There over there I see them." Panic can be heard from the pirate's voice.

Jeff can turn to see what he is pointing at. Joy and dread fills him. Joy as he can see her at the head of the pack leading them here. With a blue dragonair next to her. Dread as Pyra's father's words hit him. She would come to save him thus fulfilling the tale of the village thus sealing his fate what was to come.

He was the hero of the village and Pyra and her pack were the scared pokemon of the village.

Another howl filled the night sky as they rushed down the hill.

The pirates and the pokemon rush forward to meet them head on. Jeff knows this will be a slaughter. The ninetales are still outmatched since most of the pirates are using water types.

Jeff looks at the capture pokemon who are now looking confused.

He wants to refuse his fate, but fate is not allowing him the luxury of a choice. “Fight you fools!!!" He bites out at the nearest pokemon a luxio

“But they could kill us." The luxio looks a little scared.

“Don't listen to the human. He can't understand us." A chained tarous grows at the little luxio.

“Shut up you fucking hard headed fool! Listen to me little one. The ones I care for are going to be taken from me. Please I beg you fight!!." Jeff's voice is filled with pain.

The Tarous looks at him surprised, the little luxio walks up to Jeff. “Do you really have someone?"

Jeff can hear the shots and cries of pain of the ninetales as the thought of Pyra dying because of this. He looks at the luxio with tears in his eyes “Please I beg you to help them."

Some other pokemon walk up also and hear his plea as an espeon listens and his eyes glow as he reads Jeff's thoughts.

“He speaks the truth. You do care for someone amongst those ninetales. All of you help them otherwise we will lose those who care for us". The pokemon rush off to help as the espeon heads over to the humans and ask to free the others. Many of the humans break from there shock as they go to release the pokemon as some go to try to free Raikou and Suicune.

Jeff is trying to get free from his binds when he feels something hanging from his ropes and hears some growling. He some how looks back and sees an eevee snarling as it bites through the ropes. Finally, the ropes are weak enough from the eevee biting for him to breaks free from the ropes. He picks up the surprised eevee and sets him back on his feet.

“Thank you little one. Now go hide with the others while I help my friends." The eevee looks up at him with a small smile barks happily and runs off.

A blindly light makes Jeff cover his eyes the ion fills the air and he leaps away as a deafening explosion making him cover his ears as a loud roar follows as many of the pirates pokmeon are laid out.

Suciune is firing off ice beam at many of the water type pokemon as to stop them from hurting the ninetales. Many of the ninetales are attacking with Iron Tail attacks and psychic attacks. Some just out right savagely attacking the humans as many of the pirates go down screaming before they can aim their weapons. It looks much of the anger they have over what happen to them is coming out.

He sees a ninetales look exhausted as he looks to fall over as he tries to move forward when a human runs up behind it ready to fire at the ninetales with his rifle. Jeff runs up and tackles the human as the shot goes wide and hits near the ninetales it yips out in surprise as Jeff wrestles with the human when he gets an elbow to the face making him fall back as the man stands up and pulls out a knife and notices Jeff looking at something behind him as the pirate turns to late as the ninetales pounces the human and savagely mauls him. The pirate screams until a ripping sound is heard and the pirate gurgles his last gasp of air.

The ninetales covered with the human's blood looks at Jeff and bows his head. “I thank you……I see what she sees in you and why she would follow you. You are something more than a normal human. She will follow you where ever you go. Let her know you do feel the same. DO not run from it." The pokemon turns and runs to join the battle as Jeff looks at spear that was used by the pirate on the ground. He could run and hide but he knows what he must do. He will not run from it anymore as it seems history will not be denied. He has to be a…. shudders, a hero.

Pyra release many attacks flamethrower, iron tail and using her claws and sharp teeth to take down the pirates. Many seem to be ready to run as the fear of there leader seems to keep them from leaving but with Raikou and Suicune free it looks like they will win.

With that thought a loud roar making many stop a giant shape tackles Raikou from the air and smashes him into a human's home Raikou does not seem to move as she sees what it is. A Dragonite.

A loud scream is heard as Suicune fires off an Ice beam as it misses as the dragonite doges with ease. Making Suicune grow angry as she fires off many ice attacks. Yet unbeknownst to her the electabuzz sneaks behind her and grabs her and releases a large thunder attack.

There two big guns were down as the ninetales were slowly being routed. If history was not to be denied how could they be losing. What was he missing. The dragonite sees Pyra and launches a hyper beam at her blasting her and anyone near her away.

No he had to worry about now. Other wise all would die.

The dragonite walks up the struggling Pyra as she is trying to get up. The fear can be seen on her face as she sees the large dragon walk upon her ready to kill her. She can't think of an attack that will work right now as the two legendries are still beaten badly as they both struggle to rise also.

All around her the chaos of battle can be seen around her as it seems they are losing. Who was going to save them all? A large shadow is cast over her as she looks upon the dragonite as it growls at her. Raise his large clawed hand.

She closes her eyes awaiting the end and can only think of Jeff and how she failed him.

“Jeff." She whimpers out as a loud roar fills the air and something splatters on her. She opens here eyes as she is covered with blood but not her's. She looks up and see the dragonite roaring in pain as has a spear in its shoulder as Jeff is looking a bit confused as he does his best to dodge the angry dragon.

“And once more I have to save your furry little butt and I don't have my cell to take a picture of that look on your face it's priceless." He smiles at her.

She tries to speak but she has no words that come to mind. All she has anger from his insults..

“Hush you're going to destroy the English language with you trying to think. I.. oh shit damn it." He just is able to move out of the way of the dragon's rage who seems to be trying to rip out the spear on his back.

“SAVE ME!!! You ungrateful foolish human!!! I came to save you!" She is shaking with rage all pain forgotten as she stands up straight on all four her tails shake with agitation.

“Yeah says the vulpix who was crying like a baby eevee. You're doing a great job by the way. I told you to stay away. Not to help the village!"

“I DIDN'T COME FOR THOSE HUMAN BUT YOU!!! I LOVE YOU IDOIT!!!!!"

Both go silent at that despite the roaring from the dragonite from ripping the spear out as his gaze falls on to them. Jeff sees this but Pyra is still angry as Jeff runs up and picks her up and runs as the dragon fires off another hyper beam just missing them as they fly away from the explosion of the beam.

“Chew me out later and we can talk about who is right and wrong we need to end this and not die."

The dragonite stomps towards them as the bloodlust coming from the dragon.

“Don't you have hyper beam or an ice beam? Maybe overheat!?"

“ Why would I have those attacks I just became a ninetales! You fool!"

Once more Jeff doges as Pyra tries an iron tail attack but to her surprise the dragonite catches the attack and throws her away as if her attack meant nothing.

“Look I know you're mad, but you don't need to be working for that human?"

“Work for the human? HA!! I work with him not for him. He gives we the choice of any female and sometimes any male I want. All I have to do is kill. You are weak the weak should die. That human is right about that the weak should die for the strong. So, die human!"

He raises his might clawed hand and brings it down onto Jeff. Jeff barley didges it as he can feel the force behind it. Yet he feels something hit him on his side. The dragonite's tails connected on his side as he sure something broke in him as he is thrown into a near by building.

Jeff can barley move. 'If a hero means getting my ass handed to me like this. You can keep it.' He does his best to move seeing the dragonite charge up another breath attack. Looks like won't save the day. Everyone was still fighting or out of it no one was left to save him now.

Than a blue serpent slithers in front of the dragonite as it stops and looks at dragonair.

It was Lani and she was here to save the day?

Yeah he was dead.

“You better stop this you foolish dragon!" She raises to her full height trying to be eye to eye with the dragonite. The dragon laughs seeing this tiny dragon try to intimidate him.

What are you going to do hit me with another weak attack or cry little one. I am going to knock you out and kill that human. When I am done doing that I am coming back and breed you, so I can have some children. You should be proud you will sire my offspring."

Lani smiles at him. “I doubt that."

The dragonite laughs once more. “Why? You have some attack to stop me? A weakling like you?"

“No the humans mate is about to roast your ass."

The dragonite turns too late to see the flames engulf him as Pyra unleashes her fire attack as he seems to be pouring all her power into the attack but the dragonite still is able to withstand the attack. He marches towards Pyra despite the flames. Suddenly he is engulfing by many flames as other ninetales join Pyra and begin to roast the dragonite. He tries to fly off to escape the flames but the sky fills with a bight light as it comes down onto the dragonite engulfing him. The loud thunderclap fills the air as the ninetales all stop their attack and try not to be blown away form the explosion of the lighting attack.

Raikou is standing a bit away looking bruised and battered. but still standing. Suicune her fur looks dishevel but seems to be deep freezing an eletricbuzz. She has a maniac glee look on her face.

Jeff thinks she really thinks she hates electric types.

Jeff looks at the roasted and burnt dragonnite as Lani slithers up to the twitching dragon. AS her tail tip glows and she bashes him with an iron tail attack. One more nail in that dragon's grave.

Jeff is about to turn to Pyra and yell at her but is hit by something he cannot see. He can hear Pyra yelling for him. He looks up to see the leader of the pirates growing at him as Jeff just shakes his head despite all the pain.

“You cost me a lot boy, but you die here. I will get my vengeance out of your hide."

Jeff spits out some blood out of his mouth as he just closes his eyes for a bit. “Just shoot me already. I am sick of all this."

He can hear Pyra yell for him not to be stupid. Jeff opens his eyes and sees many of the pokemon and villagers surround him and the leader. The leader looks scared.

“Tell them to back off or I will kill you!!!" He is shaking as the revolver shakes in his hand. Jeff can see him twitching with his finger on the trigger.

“Go ahead and shoot just so you know once I am dead. They will maul you to death. Only reason you're not dead yet is because I am still alive. Once you kill me you die but in a crueler way. Look around your followers are dead or have surrendered your dragonite is all but defeated or dead for that matter. “Jeff stands up in front of the leader and grabs the gun. The pirate refuses to let it go but Jeff moves it towards his forehead.

“Pull. The. Trigger."

The fear in the pirate's eyes can only be described as stark terror as he knows what his options are. As Jeff once more, pushes harder into the barrel of the gun.

“Pull the trigger. I am tired of all this just end it." Jeff has no emotions as he says this not really caring anymore.

All his plans have gone up in flames so to say. What did he have anymore?

“What are you doing Jeff??!?!?" Pyra barks out at him. He can hear the sadness in her voice.

For a brief second he may have something he never thought he could have someone to love. He thought of his former lover how she wanted him to be happy but thinking she was just destroying her life by being with him. He had found out how many threats she had received and how she was slowly being black ball from being a trainer. It was all his fault.

Once more some one cared and he … he was running because of fear. Not wanting to lose anything. He feared living more than anything. It was so easy to run from it all. With her and now Pyra. He could have stayed with her or took her with him. Yet he was afraid. This was the way out to get away from it all.

The gun feels limp in his hand as he sees the pirate has let it go and has his hands up in surrender. Jeff is about to hit him. Suddenly The pirate leader its hit from the side by Pyra who is snarling. The look of anger in her eyes makes Jeff take a step back.

“You ….You foolish moronic FOOL!!! I came here to save you and you do THIS!!!!"

“I didn't ask you to do anything but keep your word. Can you even do that you foolish vulpix!?!?!"

Pyra snarls at him. “I Keep my promise I didn't save the village I….I came for you and you alone. I don't care about anything but…" the tears in her eyes care coming down.

Jeff feels so empty right now as he walks up to her as she looks at how he could even be standing despite all his injuries. She is about to say something when he falls to his knees and hugs her tightly. His body shaking as he begins to cry also.

“You stupid vulpix you dumb foolish vul….Pyra don't ever do something stupid like this again. Please I don't want to …..lose you. You are all I have left.

It is quite as the only sounds can be heard of the people and pokemon trying to put out the fires.

“So, you two going to mate now?"

Both turn to look to see Lani smiling at them and have an evil glint in her eye. Jeff does his best to stop Pyra from jumping the laughing dragonair as it slithers away fast.

Both just sigh as the other ninetales gather around them looking just as bad as he and Pyra looked like. Suicune and Raikou looking just as bad as they look upon the two. Jeff is about to say something to the two legendries. When Pyra's mother walks up to them a look of anger on her face makes Jeff think of his mother when she caught him making out with his former lover.

“Please tell me you ae not going to leave her again. I do not want to deal with her throwing a fit."

Pyra huffs a bit as Jeff laughs shaking his head. “No I will not leave her behind she…. My mate is something I can't leave behind."

Pyra looks at him with a surprised look.

“ I have run from too much in my life. Now I won't any more. With you by my side I can face anything. If anything, I think I will stay. Better than going home." He rubs the side for her face as she murrs to his touch.

At that the ninetales all raise their heads and let out a long howl as Pyra joins them.

~ several months later~

Jeff is laying in the felid not far from his new home. A cave.

He shares it with his new mate Pyra who is covering him with her body and tails. A living blanket in sense.

He could get up and walk around on this beautiful day. Most of the town and pokemon see him as a hero and a the ninetales as his followers. Many saying they would make a statue of him and the legendries in their honor. He objected as everyone outvoted him much to his displeasure.

He could not change anything. Yet he could avoid ever living it ever again as he decided to stay. Here he was the hero not the cursed child. He could live with that. Yes, he didn't have modern comforts. Yet he had her. His loyal mate., She followed him without question. Also making out with her was a perk. He keeps that hidden from the town, but the pack knew what was going on.

Pyra was a howler.

Could be worse but he was happy with how things were. Raikou had keep asking if he was ok. Jeff assured the lighting canine that he was happy and why would he go back without her. She told him she would follow him no matter where he went.

He would not make her leave her pack and family as they were his family now. Yes, he would miss his family and maybe his family would be better with out him.

All was good with the world.

As Raikou and Suicune both away from the town and their friends.

“They are happy. I knew they would." Suicune holds her head high.

Raikou just shakes his head. “Yes, my sister you are right as always, just didn't think he stay. I thought he take her back with him. Yet he seems happy here not going back. I guess she did change him. Well I guess no big adventure looking for the little guy."

“Ha! You wanted to do something like a grand adventure like this. Well best to look for someone special to mate. Cause other wise you will be alone for a while. No grand adventure for you brother." Suicune says mockingly.

Both stop as they sense something. Not danger but something powerful.

Suicune looks around. “It's not Entei and not mew either it seems different. Who could it .." She stops when she sees a small light come before them. It is Celebi as the tiny forest fairy type. He stops before the two legendary dogs.

“Greetings old friend. Funny as we were going to look for you but that is not important anymore. The human who wanted your help decided to stay here."

Celebi looks at them sadly “I am sorry you two but I need you to do something that neither of you will like but you both owe me and I can here to collect on this. I am sorry for what I am about to ask of you two."

Jeff tires as he might but Pyra refuses to move off him. She refused to move. “Pyra get off I need to get up my legs fell asleep."

She growls at him and just makes sure he can't move. “No! you're comfy and I don wanna."

Jeff just gives up as when she gets like this it is a waste of time to get her to move. “Ugh fine but if I have to go I will go on you."

Pyra huffs as she gets off him. “You are disgusting sometimes Jeff."

“Finally I can move. Look Pyra I know I feel like a nice little pillow, but I like to move once in a while. No, I am not going to run away. I doubt I can escape from you. Last time Iwas away for to long and you thought I was trying to ….how did you put it court the female weakling. You actually pounced on me and dragged me off." No, I doubt I can ever leave you or cheat on you as you read my mind daily." Jeff rubs his legs to wake them up. “Though I doubt you need to read my mind as you seem to think you smell some random female on me daily."

Pyra puffs her face as she looks away. “I Do not…..much."

“You do also. I always need to go to town. Before you speak. Listen. I love you dearly and I know you can hunt for our food. Yet I am still human, and I have needs like clothing, a pillow and a blanket. Unlike you I need things I am not furry and a fire type. Why I wanted to get some camping gear, so I can live out here."

Pyra lowers her head “I am sorry Jeff I just don't want to share you."

Jeff laughs as he gets up and walks over to her. Kneels before her and makes her face him placing both hands on her face. “Listen love I would never do anything to hurt you nor anything to leave you. I made my choice and I stand by it. I regret nothing. Enough of this lets try to go to town without any fanfare."

She licks his face and barks happily at him. He gets up and turns and then sees Raikou and Suicune. 'What you two missed me already?"

Suicune walks past him and to Pyra and whispers something to her. As Pyra looks confused but follows the water legendary.

Jeff sees them leave as he looks at Raikou. “What some male to male talk about females. I know this speech. Please the female and pray she doesn't kill you during her heat."

Raikou looks strangely stoic “I need to talk with you over there." He turns to point with his forepaw to a small hill.

“Sure, but why?"

“Please Jeff I need to talk to you over there." His voice is strained.

Jeff feels something is wrong as he can feel Pyra reach out to his mind. He thinks clam thoughts not to upset her. Thinks a happy though of some cuddle time later. He can feel her excitement over it over the link. When he runs into Raikou. He looks at the large legendary. “Ok what do you need?"

Raikou looks at him then looks away. “ I am truly sorry friend for what I am about to do." When a loud noise as a bight ligt catches his eye and notices it is the portal that sent him here.

“No….." He backs away “No I wont go back YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!!"

He feels the panic from Pyra as she has been listening to it all some shouting can be heard as he looks back as somehow she has pushed away Suicune away form her as she is rushing towards him. He tires to back away form him but to late as he shoves Jeff towards the portal. All he can do is see it all happen so slow as he sees the panic on Pyra's face. Her mind screaming for him.

He feels the portal pull him as the last thought he is able to send Pyra.
