Chapter 7: Helping a friend in need

Alex spent the rest of the day with David. To each others surprise, they both wanted to start doing the planning for getting Daren hooked up with that kangaroo guy. They started planning with both of them lying on Alex's bed, David holding him tightly.

"So, how do you think we're gona pull this off?" Alex said as he lay in David's arms.

David grinned and thinks before answering, "Well, we should really find of if that guy is gay too, otherwise he might not react too well to the idea of a date"

Alex giggled "And how are we going to find that out Mr smarty pants?"

David grinned slyly "Oh, you just leave that to me..."

Alex looks at David with a concerned look "David...wh-what are you to do to him?"

David smirked and laughed, "Nothing dear heart, I just have a knack with telling gays from straights"

Alex blinked and sighed "Oh..."

David raises an eyebrow and rubs the mouse's belly "Why, what did you think I was gona do?"

Alex murrs "...I don't know really, its just the way you said it that made it sound like you were gona rape him or something"

David chuckled and goes on rubbing "Don't be ridiculous, you are the only fur I would ever want"

"Good...anyway, after we find that out we can start planning a date...or not if he's straight"

"I hope for Daren's sake that he is"

"Me too..."

Alex blinked "So, how do you get two guys together without them realising it's a date?"

David thinks and then smirked "Do you think that kangaroo needs tutoring?" giving Alex a sly look.

Alex blinked "...Wait, was the tutoring thing's real purpose to get to me?"

David puts on a cute face "Maybe...something wrong with it?"

Alex giggled "Nah, I'm just happy because I got you too..."

David grinned and pulled the mouse closer in his embrace "Your so sweet honey...I really want to spend the rest of my life with you, forever and for always"

Alex blushed at this comment "As do I"

David grins "I'll even go so far as saying I want to marry you when we get old enough..."

Alex blushed deeper. He had never even though of marriage and most countries don't allow homosexual marriage...still, it did sound rather nice though, spending the rest of his life with the bat currently holding him in a house of their own "...Wow...now that's dedication"

David licked the back of Alex's head "It sure is, and I promise I would NEVER EVER do anything to hurt or harm you in anyway, forever protecting you..." He was talking in a truthful voice.

That voice...that wonderfully sweet voice automatically made Alex believes him without a doubt "I know you never will Davy" he said smiling and feeling very emotional.

David twisted Alex around to face him "You wanna know why?"

Alex smirked "Why?"

David looked deep into Alex's eyes "It's because I love you, I love you more than I love myself, I love you so much I would gladly sacrifice anything for you and I want to die with you right beside me..."

Alex giggled, looking back into David's pink eyes "I love you too Davy, nothing is ever going to change that for as long as we live"

David closed any gap between them "Thank you my love...you don't know how happy it makes me to hear that."

Alex smiled and kisses his mate deeply, feeling the love resonate from both of them. David tilts his head slightly to the side to deepen the kiss, murring happily. Alex slowly lets go.

David blinked and pouts "Hey, why'd you stop?"

Alex giggled and grins "Because as much as I want to kiss you right now, we are heading off subject"

David blinked "Right...and what was the subject again?"

Alex smirked "Getting Daren a boy"

David smirked "Well, we honestly can't do anything until we found out if the dude is gay or not..."

Alex grinned "But we still gota plan for if he is"

David pouted for a bit and then starts thinking, "hmmm...what would be a nice, slightly sweet and not to awkward way to get two guys together?" he laughs.

Alex laughed with him "Well, it won't be that awkward if the other guy likes him too..."

David smirked "Yea, next thing you we going to find them making out in the bathroom"

Alex can't help smiling at that one "I don't think that's ever gona happen,"

That night, Alex had a weird dream. It was about Daren and the kangaroo dude and they were making out in a very dark and private place...and Alex was just watching them do it from a distance. Alex woke up with a start and he was seriously freaked out. Why would he have such a...graphic and not to mention realistic dream. Maybe it was what David had said about it. He sighed looking around his room for a bit then resting his head back on his pillow, doing his best to forget about the dream and eventually falling asleep again.

Somewhere else, David had woken up at the exact same as Alex. He had had the very same dream and was pondering on it...he blinked several times as he could have sworn something was wrong with it. He also somehow sensed the dream being shared by another. He also sensed it came from a very familiar fur that he cherished dearly, but shook his head and muttered to himself "That can't be...must be a fluke or something" Drowsily he put a pillow under his head and raised a paw up. The fan in his room sudden turned on with no visible guidance. He moved his paw again and another pillow floated up and above him, falling down on his face as he fall asleep, the fan stopping as he soon as he did...

At school, Daren had caught up with Alex and David again at the entrance. They took exactly the same route as the previous day and sure enough they saw the kangaroo again. Daren also acted exactly the same way he did the day before, completely zoning out and staring at the guy with a flush on his face. David also seemed to be staring at the dude, not in the same way but in an examination kind of way.

After a while Alex snapped him out of it again and asked "Daren, who is that guy?" pointing at the kangaroo.

Daren blinked and replied "That Nicolas, he's the goalie on our soccer team, everyone calls him Nikki"

Alex nodded and smiled "Ah..."

Daren raised an eyebrow as they walked away "Why do you ask..."

Alex shrugged "No particular reason..."

Daren blinked again but shrugged and headed in his own direction.

When he was out of range David said "That kangaroo is defiantly gay"

Alex looked curiously at the bat "How do you know this again?"

David smiled at him "Trust me on this on...beside his nickname is Nikki, that's a girls nickname"

Alex kept eyeing the bat curiously and then nodded "Ok, we can start setting up a date now..." he trailed off and frowned.

David looked at him with a bit of concern "Something on your mind?"

Alex sighed and replied "Last night, I had this really weird dream..."

"About?"

"Well, It was sitting in a really dark and small room...and in the middle of the room Nicholas and Daren where standing...making out..."

Hearing this, David stopped dead in his tracks and blinks "...Are you sure?"

Alex nodded.

David has a shocked expression on his face, then answers with "Well, that's really bizarre"

As they walk in homeroom and sat down in there seats, David though (Is he...no way...)

Alex looked at him "Am I what?"

David looked shocked again "Wha?"

Alex blinked "You just said 'is he...no way'"

David blinked in confusion and then replies "No I didn't"

Alex head tilted but then shrugged "Must be my imagination or something." Turning away to talk to the dogs.

David looked away, confused, puzzled and shocked altogether. He starts to worry, but does not think or say it.

"So, you guys come up with a plan to get Nicholas and Daren together" Alex was talking to Sam and Jeff

Sam nodded "His name is Nicholas? Anyway, yea we have but we don't know if he's homo"

Alex nodded "He is"

Jeff eyed the mouse "And...how do we know this?"

Alex blinked "To be honest, I don't know. David just told me so...and I believe him"

Sam and Jeff both look at each other then back at Alex "Well, we'll just have to go with that...now on with the ideas" they both got cut off by the bell and the school day, along with the learning and boredom, officially began.

After class, Sam and Jeff said they were going to put their plan in motion. This sparked the curiosity of both Alex and David. By lunchtime Sam and Jeff were nowhere to be seen.

David smirked "What are those boys up to..."

Alex smirked as well "Whatever it is, it's got to do with Daren..."

David nodded "That's obvious...I need to the bathroom, be right back" standing up and walking away.

Alex took the time just to eat his food and think. He wondered what the dogs there doing, why David acted so strange that morning, how Daren and Nicholas's date was going to end up and eventually went to picturing him and David mating...

Alex smiled and just as he got to the good part David same running back jumping up and down excitedly with a broad smile on his face, managing to get out "You are not going to believe what I just saw!" taking Alex's paw and running off again, dragging Alex with him.

Alex blinked and yipped as he is jerked along with David, doing his best to keep up "What so important?"

They reach the boys bathroom door and David whispered "Ssshhh, just look inside and don't make any noise" opening the door briefly and peered inside, the smile still on his face and giggling.

Alex blinked in confusion at the bat, currently thinking he was crazy, but leaned over to look, muttering out annoyed "What has gotten into y..." Alex rubbed his eyes to make sure they were working right...and now found it every logical for his mate to be more excited than someone on E.

There was Daren and Nicholas in the middle of the room. The lights had been dimmed somehow and to both of Alex and David's amazement...they were making out. Just like that in the bathrooms, holding each other closely and pretty much doing everything possible while kissing besides ripping each others clothes off...and by the looks of how it was going that was going to happen pretty soon if they were not stopped. Alex felt a strong sense of deva vu and then his brain clicked, this was just like his dream. He frowned and ignored it, dismissing it as a coincidence.

David looked at him "It's so cute..."

Alex sighed softly and happily "Yea..."

After a little while David whispered "Hey, lets walk in and catch them...its going to be so fun"

Alex blinked "We can't do that, its rude.... ah what the heck, lets go"

They waited a few seconds and then both walked in looking casual and talking together. They both stopped talking when they got sight of the action taking place and tried their best to look astonished and shocked, with David saying "Whoa" and Alex saying "Oh my..."

The bull and roo broke the kiss abruptly and torn away from each other. Daren muttered out nervously "T-t-this isn't what it l-l-looked like..." both of them blushing brighter than the sun.

David smirked "You mean, you weren't crushing and just now making out with Nicholas?"

Daren looked away "h-how did you know that?"

Nicholas looked at Daren "You have a crush on me...?"

Daren faced the roo and nodded slowly, the looked down at his feet and put his paws behind his back. Nicholas smiled and hugged him "Me too..."

Alex giggled, "AWWWW... you two make such a cute couple"

Nicholas looked at Alex and David "Um...don't you two think this is weird...the gayness and all?"

David grinned and put an arm around Alex's waist "Now why would we find it weird hun?"

Alex shrugged "I don't know Davy"

Nicholas blinked at them "...You two are a couple?"

Alex nodded "Yea, glad to see you finally confronted your dream boy Daren" giving Nicholas a smile.

Daren looked confused, still blushing though "Wait, how did you guys know that?"

David rolled his eyes "Oh come on, you zone out and stared longingly at the guy every time you saw him, with a blush I might add"

Nicholas looked at Daren again "You do?" he looked touched.

Daren nodded again looking extremely embarrassed.

Nicholas giggled and gave him a kiss on the cheek "You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that..."

Daren just blushed more, but smiled.

Just then Sam and Jeff came running in "Did it work?"

Alex blinked at them "You two set them up...in the bathroom...?"

They both nodded "Well, where else are you supposed to get them together?"

There was a brief slience...before everyone burst out laughing and then stopped just as suddenly as they started as the bell tolled, making all of them shiver and exit the bathroom and straight back to classes.

At the end of the day everyone (including Nicholas now) walked to the entrance talking to each other. Alex to David, Sam to Jeff and Daren to Nicholas.

Daren turned to Alex "Um...are you guys going to tell on me and Niki?"

Alex gave a smile at the Roo, who was oviously the person who really asked the question due to the look on his face, and then answer, "Coarse we won't..." he paused and turned his eyes to the Dalmatians "I'm not so sure about a certain couple here though"

Sam smirked "Oh why can't we tell?"

Daren glared at him "Because Nicholas doesn't want people to find out yet"

Jeff grinned "Well, that's even more of a reason to do it, C'mon Sammy, lets go spread the news" starting to run off with Sam right behind him

Daren basically fumed and chased after them "COME BACK HERE!" horns first

Nicholas blinked and looked at Alex with a smile "My hero..."

Alex and David both laughed and waved goodbye to him, heading home for the day.
