Kain's Perspective
Kain's Perspective
******
If I had warned Silnis earlier than this wouldn't have happened. Drake, the prince, took Silnis in his arms and ran out the door, a grin on his face. For a human he was incredibly fast and would've outran me had I not been a wolf, but speed was my advantage. I chased him through the grass fields and into town, both of us passing by stands and people in a blur. Drake turned a sharp corner and into the town square where a carriage waited for him. He turned over a cart, hoping to stop me, but I leapt over it and continued my chase after him.
"He won't get far, not on my watch," a voice told me, though it sounded famiiar. Suddenly, a wall of ice formed in front of Drake, barring his escape. He used his sword, that gave me my scar, and tried to hack at the ice but it was too thick. With a burst of speed, I lunged at Drake and knocked him into the ice, shattering it and sending both of us tumbling over each other. He had lost his grip on Silnis and dropped him a few feet from us, blood still dripping from his wound. Drake was dazed but got to his feet, his palms and knees were badly scrapped and bleeding. He looked up at me and gave me a look of pure hate.
"You monster, you took him from me but he will be mine whether he likes it or not!" he shouted at me, looking at the unconscious body of Silnis.
"Silnis and I are already bonded Drake! He has already devoted himself to me so I suggest you leave and find someone else!" I warned him, drawing my sword.
"I'll kill here and now wolf! When you die, your little bond with him will dissapear and I'll claim him as my own!" Drake proclaimed, laughing with amusement at the thought.
"His words are false. You and Silnis' bond is unique that it is unbreakable. Through life or death, your bond will stay forever intact so long as your love for each other burns. Do not believe him, he knows nothing of love or bonds, only lust. He lusts for Silnis' body and would've used Silnis as a sex toy had he not moved to Unity. Keep this in mind and protect Silnis at all cost, your future will be harsh together," the voice inside me informed. It must've been my guardian, Carlos, speaking to me and giving me words of wisdom, just like Silnis.
I heard Drake charge at me and would've been killed had I not dodged in time. He swiftly turned around and slashed at me wildly, missing me everytime. I dodged and parried every one of his attacks until I saw an opening and took my chance, slamming him with the butt of my sword. Then, I took my turn and attacked him with careful and strategic strikes, observing his defense patterns.
"Look out!" someone shouted. I turned just in time to deflect several arrows from bowsmen who were with the prince. This was going to be challenging. Just as I had my attention on the bowsmen, I felt searing pain from my side and looked to find a sword impaled into me from Drake.
"Fire!" I heard him order, pulling his sword out of me and rolling to the side. An arrow embedded itself into my chest and was soon followed by several others. I fell to the ground, the life slipping out of me as I tried to cling on. I couldn't die now and leave Silnis alone with Drake, the bastard, I promised him...I promised him. A devilish laugh came from Drake as he placed a foot against my chest and held his sword at my throat.
"Say your prayers wolf. You'll be joining the other furries in hell," he said, putting pressure onto my throat.
"No!!!" someone shouted before a ball of fire blasted Drake into a wall. Silnis popped up next to me, the same feral look from before meaning that he was on another rampage. The bowsmen fired their arrows at him only to have the arrows stop in mid-air and shoot back at them. Drake recovered from the blast and looked over to us, a look of shock on him as he saw Silnis standing over me, vengeance burning from him.
"Impossible, the poison was suppose to knock him out for four days," I heard Drake mutter under his breath before he noticed that he was slowly being buried into the ground. Silnis made his way to Drake and knelt down to his level, a look of hate on him.
"You try to kill my mate and you should die for it, but Silnis has convinced me to give you mercy...for now," With a tap on Drake's head, the ground swallowed him up in an instant, his fate unknown. The feral look in Silnis' eyes dissapeared and he ran over to me, tears falling down his face. I tried to get up but my wounds were to painful, my life was slowly fading away.
"Kain, everything is going to be all right, just hold on a little longer," I heard Silnis reassure me, working his magic over my wounds. I tried to hold on a little longer with all my strength but I got gradually weaker and my heart slowly stopped beating. I wrapped my hands around Silnis' and looked into his eyes, those beautiful brown eyes of his.
"I'm sorry I couldn't stick around any longer, but just know that I love you," I told him, giving him a small smile before letting out my last breath.

Kain's hands went limp and his eyes slowly closed, he was gone. Time froze at that moment as I stared at the lifeless body of my mate. Memories of us together rushed through my head as I cried over his body, mourning for my loss. Alexander howled inside me, mourning for the loss of his mate as well. Why did this have ti happen? Life was perfect when me and Kain bonded and all of this just had to happen. Why couldn't it have been me instead?
"There is a way to save him, though it comes at a heavy price," Alexander said, a look of shock on my face.
"How? How do I save him?! I'll do anything...anything to save him!" I asked him, a glimmer of hope inside me.
"Are you sure? Sometimes this is unsuccessful and could end up killing you," Alexander warned.
"You want to save Carlos just as much as I want to save Kain, so yes, I'll take the risks," I said. Aexander was silent for a moment before giving me an answer.
"All right then...if you're that intent on saving him then listen closely and follow my directions,"
